💜Dear Bangtan and ARMY💜

Hello. I have come back. How are you this week? I felt a little too drained so I took it easy this week and did what felt like the bare minimum for self care as I felt like I didn’t want to do more. So I slept in a little bit more than usual, went slow, ate breakfast at a slower pace, and did what was most important on my to-do list and left the rest roll over to the next days. I feel a little more up for things and not as heavy as the beginning of the week. I hope y’all are also taking care of yourselves in your own way. Even if you may be really busy, if you feel tired, please take it easy. 😊

Yesterday while I was walking Lolita it started to rain halfway on our walk and it was so nice. The sun and rain came and we just were the only ones walking as it poured and I had no umbrella so I was drenched but it felt nice to walk as it poured. It was like being blessed by water from the sky lmao I felt so fresh as well because I have not been out in the rain like that since when I was like 10 years old and I visited my grandma in Mexico. I got to play out in the rain and my mom yelled at me to come inside but I just stood there in the cold and it was nice. As an adult it is even better because I run on heat anyways so it felt like I had a nice shower with clothes on. This time I took my AirPods and they came out okay. 👍I had my cap on backwards and the water hit my ears lol so I was surprised they stayed dry. But, if you can walk outside without an umbrella while no one is watching and enjoy that cold feeling. It is lovely. If you are prone to getting sick please don’t try this at home. Lol I built my immunity overtime so I am like steel. Lol if you are not like steel please walk with an umbrella and warm clothes. Hehe

I watched the latest Matrix film as well lol like y’all I just got so stuck on this sense when the character Bugs said “The choice is an illusion. You already know what you have to do.” I was mind blown for a bit because now that I think of it, the idea of having “choices” is possibly another construct that is not real in our world. Lol we maybe just make things as choices to further impede what we really want to do or what we know we really have to do. Think about it. You may have a important decision to make on whether you should go out or not and you keep making these “choices” in your mind when you really know deep down you just don’t want to go out. Lol you could just be indirectly making up more choices than needed and you could easily eliminate all of that overwhelming feeling by just following your gut and how you feel at the moment and being honest with yourself lol 😂 choices are quite possibly the illusions we make up on our every day lives that are hugely impacted by the circumstances and people we are around but are also really the fear we have to not follow what we really want in an effort to please others. It’s insane when you think about it. I was just so into that part that I felt like questioning why I even think of certain “choices” when I make decision through the day and I started to practice just not thinking about it and to just go with what I really feel at that exact moment.🙃 it was just a challenge I set for myself but I learned something new. Haha

I also finally saw DECISION TO LEAVE. Lol I went in the evening and the theater was full and a lot of people came to watch it and many said they loved it and my sister and I did too. It is as I say in the videos, poetically, artistically, and romantically dark. It just is and the way the acting was done was top tier 👌 and I say this because the characters felt so real and quite prone to judgement. I had something so say about them lol and when I feel like analyzing characters in a film like that, I give props to the actors for making their characters believable. I felt a lot and I talk about in the videos lol But it is a masterpiece. JOOOONIE I MADE LIKE MULTIPLE VIDEOS TALKING ABOUT CERTAIN ANGLES WITH IT LOL Let’s have a long conversation. I hope you can enjoy it. Lol I did forget to talk about one thing and I was suppose to say it in the video lol but, the dignity and pride scene. Out of all the scenes I forgot to talk about that one a bit more. But, what I didn’t say in the videos is that I can see how that scene struck a chord with you. I spoke about the language aspect in the film and how I love the connection and contrast between how both Haejoon and Seorae speak in between Korean and Chinese. It was powerful to me when Haejoon spoke about dignity and pride because it was that part when he said he was “broken/ shattered” in Korean that made it so deep. When he left and Seorae took a minute to look up the word and got the meaning of it, she had like a switch flip and I felt like she finally thought that it was not right to deceive him because she finally saw that she was in love with him. Just her facial expression looked shattered and broken as well even though it felt that she already saw herself that way because of what she had gone through before even meeting Haejoon. I didn’t think about it this way but now after watching the film I can see that sometimes when you hit that low when your dignity is struck you become shattered because you know your pride has been tainted. It is a different type of sad and heartbroken feeling. It was created beautifully. I also forgot to mention that the ending beyond it being genius as it contrasted to the romantic dark aspect lol remember when Seorae was like, “maybe I killed those men because I knew I had the control to make the decision to leave them each time” it was so crafty to make her death that metaphor at the end lol that is also why I thought it was genius too beyond the romantic part. It’s like she found a way to make the decision to leave Haejoon but instead of killing him it was her life that she took. Not going to lie, in that scene when they were both in the mountain spreading her moms ashes I through homegirl was going to end him lol 😂 I was at the edge of my seat there, but the fact that she was prone to hurting people who hurt her and she didn’t hurt Haejoon it let me know she felt something different with him. Yes, Park Chan-wook did his thing and I respect it because that ending was crafted with thought lol I was just like, damn😭😭😭 I will never see sand the same way again lol oh and in the videos I talk about certain topics and it’s not against anybody or you lol I just am giving examples and talking about people in general but it’s nice to talk to you about these things. Haha I was so excited and I went into different tangents ahhh with the mental illness part what I meant to add also is that I wish people would just not judge so quickly those who are diagnosed with one unless they truly know what it’s like to have one. That was what I meant with that whole video lol I felt strongly about it so I cursed a bit. Haha but, I also wish to say to anybody out there even ARMY and BANGTAN, if you have a mental illness or get diagnosed with one, you are not any less of a person. You can do so many things, accomplish a lot, and possibly do things better than someone who does not have a mental illness, so don’t put yourself down for having one. It’s not easy and I have not been diagnosed with one but my sister has and I am with her during her struggles and I even take her to her appointments and I just can see how it’s not easy. Please don’t feel any less normal for it. You are just as capable and worthy of so many things. You see the world differently and that is okay, your way of thinking is needed. If you are someone who has also not just a mental illness but has a mental disorder, or mental disability, this goes for you too, my loves. For those who associate themselves as being neurodivergent like my sister, as a neurotypical person lol I love you. Neurotypical people like me need y’all to show us life in different ways. The world is boring without y’all. 💜 you are wanted and loved in this house. Own the beauty of your mind.

Oh y’all this is random but have you ever tasted a jalapeño and pepperoni pretzel. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 it’s so good. I have been eating a lot of jalapeño based foods lately with bread and cheese. 😭😭😭😭😭 I have a limit but I still like the taste of it in my sandwiches. My limit is always when my nose starts running. Lol 😂 please eat deliciously this week too. 🤤🤤🤤🤤 pretzels with cheese dip are life. Ahhhh

JIN!! I am glad you have not left yet but at least I said good bye early lol but, I saw a lot of the things you filmed and thank you for working so hard until the end. I love you for waiting until winter to say goodbye. My heart. When I found out you could have left in may or June I was like “this man loves us, truly” 😭😭😭😭😭 I will not forget what you did. I did multiple videos in your honor, inspired by your 10 things you can’t live without video you filmed for GQ lol. I did my own version to make y’all laugh for a bit lol I felt like it was one of those videos where people film what is in their bag lol but it was fun. I wore my RJ hat. Lol I know it’s not WOTTEO, but still. Haha Without a doubt, RJ has a cute sibling. Lol 😂 I love how you straight up said that if you don’t spend money on a brand it is like you have not spend any money at all and that is why you buy brand clothes and items. Lol I love the honesty. I am the opposite. Get it JIN! I think it is also nice that you have been really about your health lately. From the needle TMI to your artificial tears lol I know it was for your eyes because you may look at the screen a lot when gaming lol but it was funny the way you said it, and also liver health, I think it’s awesome you bring this stuff up. I love how you are caring for your health, honey. 🙌I have not known much about the liver and I didn’t think about it. I can’t really tell when someone has a bloated face like I don’t really check that out even with myself. But, quite possibly if you drink, you do have to watch out for your liver more. I know my grandpa had issues with it because he drank a lot and he had to get dialysis after awhile because his liver failed. So, I am careful to not drink because of things like that. Genetics with certain health issues and alcoholism runs in my family so I like to be proactive. You got me thinking a bit more about this lol thank you. I also really dig your MINION tennis bag! It’s so freaking CUTE! It’s functional yet stylish yet CUTE!😭😭😭😭😭😭👍 your ripped Thom Browne pants lol I love how real you got for this. it is relatable because it reminded me of my first running shoes from Nike and I have not forgotten them to this day. I used them so much they ripped at the front toes as well and I had to finally get new shoes, but I think you can get your pants fixed when you get the time to do so. Your pants can be saved at least lol my shoes were not.🤣 when speaking about the design for your very cute pjs lol I found it cute when you said this, “it’s more like, I could’ve had a dream about angels, so I put angels into the design.” First, this is manifestation at its finest lol I love it. Second, Jin have you had better dreams because of your pjs, so far? I just wanted to see if it worked lol it’s such a cute sentiment because a lot of ARMY got them and I wonder if they are also having pleasant dreams because of the pjs you crafted for them.😭😭😭 Jin you are like a whole cute aesthetic type of person and I love it. Lol I feel like you always have been and it is coming out more these days and it just makes me so soft towards you too. Haha you are like hardcore in your work and important business but in persona you are just quite cute. I don’t know how to explain it without it sounding so adorable lol but it is just like you are naturally cute without having to force it haha even your way of thinking is pure like that. You do hardcore and cute together so well. For me, I am one or the other depending on the mood of the day lol some days I want to go hard and run like a million miles and bite the head off cactus plants with my teeth lmaoo and other days I just want to cuddle with my blanket as I wait for my cookies to be done in the oven as I listen to Spring Day and cry for a couple of minutes lol you are in between and balanced. With THE ASTRONAUT I think it is a nice name for it. I saw how you were trying to make it shorter lol in the live and it was funny. I think astronaut is nice. You are okay. Lol 😆 I loved how calming it was yet hopeful. It is a nice up-beat track and the way it sounded in some parts with the background vocals of the “oh oh oh oh “ it was like hearing the extended version of SPRING DAY and it almost made me cry. It is beautiful. I read a lot of comments from ARMY and I think you really did what you came here to do with that track, Jin. I love that an ARMy said something along the lines of how the track did not feel like a “goodbye” at all but more like “I know where my home is” like the sense that you are not really gone because wherever you are and we are it is already home. It was a nice sentiment by an ARMY. I read some interview parts from Chris Martin and how it started with MY UNIVERSE and how he really felt at first and mad respect to him and Coldplay because he really was honest and said that at first he didn’t think it was a good idea and he was skeptic but he went for it because he wanted to and he wanted to see how it would go. I love when people can be honest like that and just be like “well this is how I felt” without sugar coating it. And they way he spoke about how he didn’t expect the friendship he created and connection with Bangtan after working with y’all and he is just lovely. I love how y’all also respected each other’s stages and talked about it. It is mutual and just sincere. 💜 I also saw the live clip lol I want to be around people that look at me the way Chris Martin looked at you and smiled with open arms as you ran towards him lol so wholesome. Like if you go back and pause at his face like damn, that man is full of love. Lol I dig it and the whole place was just so cosmic and seeing the faces of ARMY who are also fans of Coldplay in Argentina was just it. Two worlds just coexisting with love together is beautiful. I really hope in the future Bangtan can go all out and visit again and do touring there too. But first, we must get through our Voldemort stage first lol yes I went with what you said lmao I laughed so hard when you said military service was like y’all’s Voldemort because y’all couldn’t speak about it. But, thank you to you and Coldplay and BTS crew behind the scenes too for THE ASTRONAUT. Speaking about the military service, Bangtan I am sorry if you had to see and deal with all the judgements. Thank you for speaking about how it made you feel Jin. I was wondering how y’all felt with all the biased opinions out there because that must have been a lot of pressure on y’all too. I understand that things are not easy on y’all’s end either as you have to go by protocol by the company too and also you have to wait to discuss it with each other. Thank you for hanging in there and I’m glad you got to lift this heavy feeling off. Letting things go feels nice, right? Hehe at least we lifted it together. 💪 I am glad I believed in y’all in the first place. I love you all, Jin. Hehe

It cool we all be busy I have a ton of coursework to do and hockey stuff (got to play a beer leauge game at a proper full on arena the other day which was so cool! It’s like where the national team plays and we got to play there! Though the game was wild lmao, someone on the other team forgot how sticks work and lifted their stick up very fast when it was between my feet (ow, I take back anything bad I’ve said about Jills ), the jump from ice to benches was above the knee for me so I usually jumped with like a skate up and took myself on the bench a couple times 😂, and I screened the goalie a ton and they didn’t kill me (I thanked them for that at the end but they should have killed me )

Yeah the whole winter Olympics is boss, I have to pick a second country to support cause mine is in like 5 events but yeah , Canada has a good curling team I think ( I’d imagine y’all do)

Yeah like with my sticks I’m not switching, my skates recently have been a problem child (they’re rubbing against my feet painfully and I don’t think I can get it punched out) and would 100% be replaced rn if I could afford to 😂. Ooo how’s bowling going? U haven’t mentioned it but it sounds fun !

Yess I love bardown for post and in cause the ding noise is just 👌. I also like five hole just cause that’s where I score the most 😂 ooo good shot! Defo counts! They don’t know u were only going for the clear and tbh that makes it more impressive, you got that offensive awareness-you’re too good to be a forward u wanted to give the other defence a chance! Bet you would’ve got homers, and that sounds very painful we’re u ok after?

Aww noo that sucks😬 we haven’t got the same restrictions but a ton of games are getting postponed 😭 Kirky is the best he scored the most in the iihf mens top division in 2021 (which is impressive when u consider GB is not good and didn’t play past the the group stage- we last won a game in regulation in that level in 1962, before the Belarus game in 2021)😎😎

My Christmas was good thanks I saw both sides of my family and I was the driver this year cause I can drive now which was cool cause I’d never had passengers before but also sad bc I couldn’t have alcohol (don’t need it to have fun (we also legal so it’s chill) but like we had some nice one😂) the food was boss pigs and blankets ftw (whoever decided to wrap bacon round mini sausages is a genius)

Aww noo the WJC was boss and I’m sad it got cancelled (Connor Bedard is amazing) but it made sense with all the forefitting, I don’t get why they couldn’t do a bubble or plan it better though. The iihf messed up there they should reschedule all thier stuff they cancelled. Weird opinion but they should send he WJC squads to the Olympics they do that in mens footy!

That’s good :) F for ur fantasy team, feel like I’m the opposite to u lol my NHL team is sucking rn and we have like 4 NHL players available to play, one of my fantasy teams is 3/10 so that’s good but the other has won 3 weeks out of 12 soo 😬. My phf team is 3rd but we got 2 in hand so it’s chill.

How was your new year? You played any of your sports recently? How are you doing in the whole covid stuff you locked down again?

Hey that’s cool for you! That’s one thing I’ll never get to experience with soccer is to get on or off the field it’s just a white line painted on the grass it’s the same every field 😂 I don’t think I could handle having to either step up or down on one rink vs leaping up or down on another 😂

I never watch curling normally but sometimes I’ll throw it on if there’s nothing to watch and get fully immersed in it, I tried curling once but I was really bad at it like really bad like our local curling club begs for members but I threw one stone and they were like maybe you should just go 😂

Oh yeah the worst are when my cleats start to go I don’t wanna get new cleats idc if they hurt my feet I’m not getting new ones

I haven’t bowled in forever, I used to be in a youth league growing up I won’t lie I was pretty good, I’d usually get high 100s/low 200s scores, I went to a lot of tournaments medaled a few times got a few trophies, I wasn’t the best I was good, I never like made it to nationals or provincials or anything like that but I enjoyed it, I haven’t played in forever because I had to leave the youth league at 18 and then I moved for school and then covid so I haven’t been bowling as often as I’ve wanted to but it was fun when I went a few weeks ago! I hurt my plant leg like crazy and was down for a few days after which was embarrassing, and I didn’t play great because it’s hard to bowl without bending your legs 😂 I only play 5 pin btw I don’t want to confuse anyone and make them think I play 10 pin no thanks I’m not that strong

Yeah I agree I like shots that just absolutely rip because they look cool but honestly any goal counts I’ll take anything 😂

Also I was fine I got hurt playing baseball a lot we played on a gravel field it wasn’t good for anyone, I was also just dramatic I’d cry like I broke my leg and then 5 minutes later I’d be fine and ask to get put back in, baseball is a bad sport for children our aim is awful I got plunked more often than I could count and even though we used the big softballs like they still hurt and it’s not like we wore batting gloves so when I would swing and hit the ball with my fingers instead of the bat 😬

Yeah we’re full lockdown basically now which sucks, I’ve already had one concert I had tickets for canceled I’m really just hoping the rest of the things I have tickets for in February don’t get cancelled too

But hell yeah mr kirky!! If he ever has a Zac Efron 17 again moment he can come back to the Pete’s for a couple more years okay?

Oh yeah I flex it all the time to people like anyone I meet who knows anything about hockey I’m like hey did you know my cousin used to play in the ohl 😂

Oh yeah I’ve been the driver to things for a couple of years, as soon as I got my license it was on me, the problem was my older siblings were the dd until someone else got their license but for me I’m the youngest so I don’t have an end point for my dd’ing but we’ve started to host parties more which means no dd for us because we don’t have to drive home after (also you can drink at 19 in Canada (18 in Quebec) so I’m not gonna be the person to shame you for what age you start drinking) oh yeah I love pigs in blankets they’re so good, but yeah bacon wrapped anything is phenomenal we had bacon wrapped scallops this year they were so good, my fav finger food (really food in general) is chicken wings I’d eat chicken wings daily honestly

And I heard they’re rescheduling it for august which is fine, but feels like a slap in the face that they’ll reschedule the mens tourny even though they proved they still couldn’t do it safely but they’ll just straight up cancel the women’s tourny like it’s just frustrating but whatevs

Something so funny happened to me the other day, my prof was talking about what constitutes as a history paper and he was saying you can’t usually do sports history because it’s mostly sports trivia or stats not history (I don’t need to get into whether I agree with him or not) but then he said yeah you can’t really write a history page about why the Montreal Canadians are having a shitty season and I was like damn sir you’re right but you shouldn’t say it 😂

My new year was good, I’ve just been hanging out at home but I’m gonna move back for school soon but I’ve been having a good time, I haven’t been able to play any sports lately there’s not a lot of options in the winter because you know it snows here and I was thinking of joining intramurals at my school but with this whole covid lockdown they’ve cancelled everything again, so I guess I’ll have to wait until the summer and hopefully things have opened up by then, but yeah COVID’s been crazy here our numbers are just way up like we’re basically back to square one of lockdown again 🙄

Also I’m crazy disappointed that they cancelled the rest of the rivalry series! But I get why they did it but now we have to wait until the actual Olympics to see Canada play again
