SatouShio Propaganda (Underage, Age Gap - Satou is 15 and Shio is 8, Unhealthy dynamic - Satou keeps Shio locked inside constantly)
"Those that know Happy Sugar Life might be looking at this ship with the question of "How does a fifteen year old yandere kidnapping and isolating an eight year old child make it a good ship?" - To begin with, there's the fact that Satou's love is based on love alone, rather than lust. Before meeting Shio, she'd go through hundreds of boys using lust (not as an emotion, but tactic) to try and figure out if any could spark love, but none did. Due to her past with her aunt, she wasn't able to spark any emotion, all of it was falsified. Upon meeting Shio, and Shio explaining what she felt love was, Satou felt her first true emotions in a long time.
On top of that, out of every character in Happy Sugar Life, as bad as Satou can be, she is the best person for Shio to be with - and there is no arguing otherwise. If she heads back to her father, she'll be beaten and abused. If she goes with her brother Asahi and her mother, she'd be starving and impoverished - on top of that, Shio's mother outright openly stated she was abandoning Shio when Satou first met her, and Taiyou almost outright states he desires Shio physically, unlike Satou's emotional-focused desires. If we look at the scenes Shio goes outside, the streets are as dangerous for her as Satou's claiming during Shio's isolation. Satou taking Shio back to the apartment they stay in was the best case scenario for Shio.
In episode 5, Shio even states that she loves Satou - more than anyone in her family - and that Satou is warmer than her family. It's hard to make an argument that Shio should be with anyone but Satou, despite the nature of the anime. Shio wants to be there, and is better off there than she would be with anyone else. Satou may be a murderer, but in all cases of murder it's either to protect Shio's safety outright, or to protect their relationship together - Satou loves Shio romantically, and Shio loves Satou back. While some may argue Satou's love is familial, they kiss on the lips in episode 2, recite wedding vows every night, and have another more intimate chaste kiss in episode 11 during a pseudo-wedding where they exchange rings."
"Satou also doesn't see this reason for murder as a bad thing, nor the murder as a bad thing - it's justified to her because she's protecting Shio and their love. The first thing she ever apologises to Shio for is kissing another girl and telling someone else she loves them - it was a lie to the other girl, but Satou still breaks down apologising to Shio for betraying their love this way. The only thing that matters to her is that she treats Shio with true love. Being with Satou brings Shio happiness and joy, and being with Shio is the only thing bringing Satou any form of emotion. Shio is her light and her reason for continuing on, she'd give up without her. The two are doomed from the start, with Satou dying and Shio keeping both wedding rings and Satou's ribbon, claiming Satou is in her heart and they're together forever now, but I am near certain if Shio didn't ask Satou to die together, they would've been able to find a way to retain a happy love life after leaving the town."
Bwen Propaganda (Incest - Cousins, Species Difference - Gwen is part Anodite)
"During the original series, Ben and Gwen were almost always bickering, arguing, name-calling (calling each other "Doofus" or "Dweebs"), making fun of each other, or fighting. They had a love/hate relationship. However, deep down they really do care about each other as shown on various occasions throughout the show. Especially in Secret of The Omnitrix, when Ben would go far lengths to keep Gwen out of danger. Such as transforming into Four Arms, despite the fact that the Omnitrix's self-destruct mode countdown would only accelerate. When he found out that she was still alive, he ran through the open field of heavy fire in order to hug her.
In the Omniverse continuation, even though Gwen went to college early in the show, both have openly stated that they miss each other a lot (hugging one another before she left in The More Things Change: Part 1). Gwen ALSO runs to hug Ben when he returns to Earth in The Frogs of War: Part 2. While I'm also very much an original continuation type of girl, their bickering relationship is toned down immensely in the 2016 reboot with more heartfelt and considerate moments between Ben and Gwen looking out for each other."

Prompt: 50 Ways to Say “I Love You” (deity-prompts) #35 “I’d rather just hang out with you, if I’m honest”
“It’s me and you against the world, ‘Rina!” Pearl cheers, throwing her arms up in a quick celebratory pose before leaning forward in her seat towards her co-host. “Let’s wake the sleepin’ giants with our sloppy sonic science!”
Across from Pearl, Marina sniffles, dabbing at her eyes gently as she responds, “Yeah, let’s bring our bumpin’ beats to the oceans and streets!”
“Our splatfests may be coming to an end, but Off the Hook is just getting started!” Pearl kicks her legs up as she spins in her host's chair, Marina informing their audience where they can find their gifts for participating in their final Splatfest. “Until next time!”
The two jumped up and joined together for their outro, “Don’t get cooked, stay Off the Hook!!”
Marina watches as her co-host slumps back into her chair, a satisfied grin on her face as she watches their crew celebrate a truly fantastic last Splatfest. As much as they played it up for the camera, Marina is proud of her Pearl for winning. They’ve come so far over the past two years, Marina never thought she could accomplish anything like that. She’d been stuck in OCtavio’s army for what had felt like forever, making weapons that were to be used on the very city she now loved.
But here she was! A star! An Inkopolis Square star with a show she helps run with her closest companion in the whole world! Oh, and here Marina is, getting teary eyed again…
“Everything fresh, ‘Rina?” Pearl asks, scooting to the edge of her seat where Marina was still standing in front of her own host’s chair. “I’m sorry Team Order lost, I can make sure your side of the apartment has NO chaos on it at all, swear!”
“You’re too sweet, Pearlie. I’m ok, I just,” Marina pauses to wipe at her eyes, smiling a shaky smile down at her other half. “Just a li’l overwhelmed is all.”
“Too overwhelmed for our Off the Hook wrap party?!” Pearl springs up from her chair, bouncing excitedly around their set. “Crusty Sean is gonna cater it and even Annie’s gonna be there, and I haven’t seen her ONCE since she started working for Sheldon! Oooh, I wonder if I can get Sheldon to drink enough Ink-well Chillers then maybe I can finally convince him to make that portable Princess Cannon-oh! Or I-”
“Pearlie-”
“Maybe I can convince Annie! We went to school together, I’m sure if I promised to use my cool-rockstar-celebrity influence to get some primo snacks for her clown fish then maybe-”
“Pearlie, I don't think I-”
“Hm. I lied, I actually don’t know what clown fish eat, and if I killed Annie’s fish then I’d probably get banned from Ammo Knights for life. Heh, not that that’s a bad thing. Save me from listenin’ to the old man’s drivel. I swear, that fool can just talk and talk and talk and-”
“Pearl!!” Marina finally raises her voice, fighting to be heard over Pearl’s externalized internal monologue. “Sorry, Pearlie. Just had to get your attention. I don’t…I don’t think I’m gonna come to the wrap party tonight.”
Pearl’s demeanor switched almost immediately, going from hopping around the studio to standing still as ever in front of Marina. A clammy sweat formed on the back of Marina’s neck, she hated to bring down the mood, but today had been…a lot. Between the emotions running high in their last Splatfest special and all the work this Spaltfest has entailed…It’s just too much. Marina’s good in a crisis, less so in a giant dance hall full of inklings just begging to talk to her or to pull her into a dance or sing for them. As much as she’d like to stand by Pearl’s side at that stuffy after party, she’s 90% sure it would trigger an episode right about now.
“Word, ‘Rina. Do you want me to pick up some take-out instead?” Pearl cocks her head to the side, gold eyes clear of judgment or disappointment or anything other than the adoration and affection she held for her co-host and best friend.
“Huh? Take out?” Marina’s face was heating up, Pearl’s eye contact was always intense and made her feel like a clumsy little girl again.
“Yeah! I mentioned Crusty Sean’s earlier, I’ve been cravin’ a Galactic Seanwich all week, but I think there’s gonna be a food truck stoppin’ by too. Crab-n-go I think?” Pearl continued on like Marina wasn’t having a minor conniption. “Ooh, how about a movie? I’ll let you pick this time!”
“No, Pearlie, I mean take out? A movie? What about your wrap party?” Looking down, letting her tentacles fall in her face, Marina turned to stare out through the Inkopolis side windows. “I don’t want you to miss out on a fun night just because I’m…tired tonight.”
Words are hard. The only words that come to Pearl easily are the sick rhymes she writes for her and her ‘Rina’s hot tracks. For as much as Pearl loves to ramble and rap and rhyme, when it comes to expressing herself, expressing how she feels to Marina, she feels she’s fallen short for what feels like the first time in her life. But Pearl would do anything for Marina. She’d move mountains or explode evil telephones or help rescue a super cool secret agent from an underground subway that might, like, actually be the coolest music video back drop ever if they could just-
Pushing through the mental block in her head that stops her from getting mushy on Marina, she grabs both her hands. Marina peeks out from behind her bangs, eyebrows drawn together in worry.
“I’d rather just hang out with you, if I’m honest,” Pearl states simply.
Marina nods her head, almost frantically, gripping Pearl’s hands back and pulling them close to her heart. She also seems at a loss for words. And where silence would normally unsettle Pearl, she found there wasn’t a single place in the world she’d rather be than in front of her partner, asking what she wanted to pick up for dinner.
“Alright,” Marina’s voice was high pitched and strained as she held back from launching into a bear hug and snuggling into Pearl like her life depended on it. “Take out sounds good.”
“And a movie?”
“And a movie,” Marina smiles down at Pearl, pressing a kiss to the back of each of her hands. Pearl lets out an ear piercing squeal that makes Marina thankful for the headphones she never takes off. They come in handy more often than you’d think.
“FRESH yeah!! I heard they just got this new menu item called the Pescatariat Royale!” Pearl rambles on, never letting go of Marina’s hand as they walk out of the studio side-by-side.
There’s paparazzi swarming the building, every Inkopolis reporter and their brother was out there, flashing their cameras and calling out to the stars as they ran to Rina’s dope motorcycle.
For once, her co-host’s hand in hers, Marina just laughed as she ran past the press and hopped on. Pearl immediately tucked in close, wrapping her arm around the other’s waist and throwing out a peace sign as she shouted out her love for their devoted fans.
It was hard to feel bad with Pearl by her side.

"First and Latest Incest Ships"
I'm not sure how much it counts as "True" incest, due to the backstory of these characters being unclear on if they were simply friends, or genuinely related, before the events of the series - but my first incest ship was all of the Delightful Children From Down The Lane from Codename: Kids Next Door with each other. I had more ships with Ashley specifically, but none of them incest.
My latest incest ship is one that I'm not sure has a proper name, but I've seen called "Lyncest" - Lyney and Lynette from Genshin Impact. In Lyney's story quest we learn of floral symbolism in Teyvat, and that Rainbow Roses represent love. Lynette gets a little jealous when she sees Lyney hand someone else a Rainbow Rose before she ever gets one from him. It made me ship them so fast.
27. "First & Latest ships with a yandere"
My first ship with a yandere was caused thanks to @ask-the-matsus-and-ayano-blog's blog a while ago. The ship (obviously) being Ayano Aishi and all the Matsuno siblings. This post in particular made me adore how the ship is shown. They're such a cute polycule!
My latest ship with a yandere is definitely SatouShio - Satou Matsuzaka and Shio Koube from Happy Sugar Life. Satou is so determined to protect Shio from being taken away or hurt by the outside world that she goes to extreme lengths, often not healthy for Shio's development or enrichment - but despite that she's trying to give what she can to balance things out. It's just expensive and difficult... They were about to run away together to possibly counter that lack of enrichment, but sometimes things go very wrong all at once.
28. "First & Latest enemies ships"
I'm going to be perfectly honest here, I'm not really an enemies shipper when it comes to most things. I can only really think of two ships that fit the bill, and even then, I'm not sure the latter would be aware of each other as enemies.
The first would be Ashley of the Delightful Children From Down The Lane with Fanny Fulbright/Numbuh 86 from Codename: Kids Next Door. I liked the idea of Ashley sneaking off to hang out with a KND member as non-enemies from time to time, and Numbuh 86 doing the same to relax after a difficult day of working decommissioning. Their very different attitudes to life had me thinking they'd make a cute overly-loud blunt girl x polite goody-two-shoes trope.
My latest, which I'm not sure would even be aware of each other as enemies, is Childe/Tartaglia/Ajax and Amber from Genshin Impact. Childe is a Fatui Harbinger, while Amber is an Outrider for the Knights of Favonius, who aren't exactly on the best terms with the Fatui. Amber is also a bow user, as is Childe - but it's canonical that the bow is the weapon that Childe is the worst at using, to the point he throws his last arrow instead of shooting it. I like to imagine Amber seeing him use a bow this way, and immediately come over to teach him proper holding stance and position, not recognizing he's Fatui. I'm sure we all know how weapon teaching classes can go with ships over time... lots of fluff and cute contact potential.

Comship Bracket Round 3!
You should be voting for the ships you like more, not the ships you find more problematic.
Round 3 is split up into 4 Segments, which each have a single poll! These will be posted near-daily, with a 6-day voting time limit. Look out for your ships! Propaganda is both welcome AND encouraged, whether through the form of essays, art, fanfiction recommendations, or otherwise, Most propaganda will be reblogged. Previous propaganda will be linked to within the poll post.

I'm curious if you're going to be running this again with a new set of pairings. This seems fun!
I was thinking on that! I'd want all the pairings to be ENTIRELY new, so no bringing back Sebaciel or Wincest or anything in Bracket 1 (as much as it pains me to not include SatouShio, I adore them so much, there's a reason they're my avatar). However, I'm also not sure of the demand of a bracket with ENTIRELY new pairings, so!
I'll give you a little poll to decide!

Fair warning: I’m gonna vote the living hell out of the age-gap adult x minor ships. They’re just too good!
Absolutely fair, anon! You do you with these ships! The competition is to see who tumblr as a whole prefers in terms of Ye Olde Days of fandom where comships were common and everyone was just having fun! If you're having fun voting, then I'm doing my job well! I think the amusing part of this is because it's entirely submission led, nobody knows if I actually ship any of these myself - while they're my icon and a guarantee in the blog, even SatouShio isn't guaranteed to be one of my ships. I think that's amusing.

Very excited to see Comship Bracket 2... I have ships in mind
They might not win but that's okay
Also, if you do a lot of these brackets, imagine making a bracket solely out of the winners...
I'm still trying to decide on the mod-guaranteed ship for #2, considering this bracket had the mod-guaranteed SatouShio (which I will still champion even after their loss, they're such a fun ship!), but I'm excited to see which ones you send in!
I don't know if I'd end up doing enough of these brackets to end up with a winners-only, but that does sound fun, too!

Comship Bracket SEMI-FINALS!!
You should be voting for the ships you like more, not the ships you find more problematic.
We're finally here at the Semi-finals after a few long rounds of voting. My condolences to King's Throne, Enabler, Yugicest - and my personal bias SatouShio. Your propaganda didn't seem to end up being enough to trump over ShizuShiho, Wincest, Sebaciel and Billdip. This leads us to our SEMI-FINALS round, with two polls, both publishing today. The first poll released shall be Wincest VS ShizuShiho, shortly followed by Sebaciel VS Billdip. Try to be kind with your propaganda, but I'm bracing for a full-blown propaganda ship war! Let's do this!
