Toxic Sludge Yuri Tournament: Submissions Open! Will close Feb. 14th (how romantic !!!)

I'm going to change up the banner and profile picture, among other things, for this blog but I figured I might as well start the submission process. Some rules and stuff that'd I'd really appreciate if you read before submitting:

Has to be WLW. It's Yuri guys

No antis pls. You all were so silly last tournament. Throwing up in my inbox only makes the ships stronger you know.

Can be from any kind of media. I will also accept submissions from problematic media, but I reserve the right to not include something for any reason.

No real people! No Taylor Swift x Katy Perry or whatever

If your ship is from a media with a lot of gore in it, please make sure the image you submit has minimal gore, especially if it's live action.

On the topic of images, I would prefer canon pictures but if there aren't any, feel free to send in fanart IF and only IF the artist consents to their work being used in this tournament, and you have proof that they know what their work is being used in and are fine with it. (Credit will, of course, be given in any post that uses the picture.)

Want your ship to get in, but you feel it's not popular enough? Make sure to write compelling propaganda ! Propaganda is a huge factor in who makes it to the bracket.

This tournament is capped at 64 participants. If we do not get 64 participants, we will do 32 with preliminaries if necessary. If we don't get 32, we'll do 16 and so on. However, we will do no more than 64.

This tournament focuses on toxic relationships. Your ship can be siblings or whatever, but that can't be the only thing going for it- they need to be super codependent, or try to kill each other, or something. So yeah, problematic ships are good, just make sure they're toxic too.

You can submit multiple ships, but please do not submit the same ship over and over.

I'm not the blog runner but I saw you reblog from comshipbracket saying you're an anti? DNIs go both ways and they asked antis not to interact...

I usually call myself an anti for simplicity but I'm technically in more of a middle ground, since I enjoy proshipping but just dislike people who don't acknowledge the ship is toxic even though it's fun to talk about, and I got called an anti for acknowledging it so i just call myself an anti now

I saw your reblog from comshipbracket, and as far as I know All Stars New Stage is a 70-minute long movie with NO prior knowledge of Precure required! The focus is ON the movie-exclusive girl and the goop creature, if you'd ever be interested in trying out the franchise, I'd recommend the goop creature movie as a start point! (Precure All Stars New Stage: Mirai no Tomodachi) - It has all the precure teams up until Smile, too, so you're able to pick out a team that you like the look of!

Winter King is a Simon that truly only cares for himself and has hurt many to be `sane`, but he's not really himself anymore- and Simon is trying to recover from the traumas in his life and just wants to feel happy and content. But he's tempted to go back how things were with his crown- and Winter King supports this, honestly. It's a person facing a glamorized version of their worst self."

"Also, Cake yells at them to kiss, and Winter King straight up goes `Don't think it hasn't occurred to me!!` And slides away"

Coffincest Propaganda (Abusive Dynamics, Codependant Relationship, Incest)

"They're the protagonists of the game who are stuck in quarantine because `the water was infected` though by now this seems to not be true and the government just wants to let some people starve I guess."

Finncest Propaganda (Incest - Technically(?), Selfcest, Toxic Dynamic, Arguably Age Gap - Grass demon is of indeterminate age)

"Finn loves all of his selves, and Fern just wants to be Finn. They should've kissed instead.

Fern's existence as an alternate Finn is tragic to start. He's a time paradox Finn who got trapped in a sword. He was created because Finn took his alternate self for granted and was tricked into stabbing him with a cursed grass sword.

Fern has a body only because of a grass demon. He struggles with finding an identity, because he's supposed to be this big hero just like Finn, but he's a violent little guy who has no qualms about cutting tendons and killing.

Finn says `we're like brothers… Maybe even closer` and almost confesses he has feelings for his frustrated alternate self, but by the time he starts showing it more clearly, Fern has already decided to trap Finn in a dungeon and take over his life.

That's the first time Finn kills Fern.

Fern becomes Finn's evil counterpart and pulls a Green Knight. Finn tried to redeem Fern and succeeds, but then Fern just loses his body until all that's left is a seed.

The seed grows into a replacement of the home they briefly shared — literally, Fern becomes a home for Finn."

"Finn loves every version of himself he meets, but Fern is special. He's a paradox who spent over a year trapped in a sword which got broken traumatically, and was then given a body by a demon who used to be the other Finn's right arm. Fern is constantly measured against Finn and can never measure up, to his ceaseless frustration. But Finn loves him unconditionally. Finn Mertens basically confesses that he loves Fern as something closer than a brother, only to be rejected and betrayed by Fern, who wants to take over Finn's life. This leads to the first time that Finn kills Fern. In the end, though, they face their demons together."

"They're these traumatized kids who are clinging to each other for comfort, but it's not all that healthy. Haruka's looking for a mother figure because his mother neglected him and hated him, Muu's looking for a new friend because her old ones turned on her and bullied her. Haruka does whatever Muu wants him to, he compliments her, he defends her. Muu makes all the decisions for Haruka, she let's him be comfortable and not have to face harsh things, she stays with him always. They give each other themselves for comfort. Now that they've both been given Guilty verdicts (guilty verdicts break the person down mentally and restrain their movements), they're most likely going to have a more turbulent relationship. Milgram fans want to break them up more than anything, but it's the only sense of comfort they have rn."

0909 Propaganda (Selfcest, Questionable Dynamic)

"It's the codependency. John can't exist with Mikoto, but he's more independent than him. John is always taking care of Mikoto whether the latter knows it or not, everything he does is for Mikoto. All he wants is for Mikoto to be happy, and he miiight have either killed someone for that or he's covering up Mikoto killing someone. We don't know ! Meanwhile Mikoto has no idea John exists, and when he does find out, he's horrified and hates him. And yet, John still loves Mikoto and dedicates himself to him."

Kaeluc Propaganda (Pseudo-incest)

"I love them. In terms of canon -- they have very friends -> enemies -> lovers energy to me. It's not canon when exactly Diluc's family adopted Kaeya, but I like to headcanon Diluc got his vision BECAUSE of Kaeya in some way. And if you know about Genshin lore you know that's a crystallization of his soul and therefore represents his desires and goals. I like to think Diluc's loved Kaeya before he even really understood what that meant - that's why Diluc was so upset when he thought Kaeya had "betrayed" him during the fight they got into. They're both the sort to blame the fight on themselves and think their love is unrequited because of said fight; Diluc because he seriously hurt Kaeya (in canon even injuring his eye) and Kaeya because he picked a day where Diluc was already raw and upset to reveal he'd been keeping a pretty big secret from him. These two men are so very sad and I think they should kiss about it."
