The only thing to be done now, now that the waves of our undoing have begun to strike on us, is to contain ourselves.

To keep still, and let the wreckage of ourselves go, let everything go, as the wave smashes us, yet keep still, and hold the tiny grain of something that no wave can wash away, not even the most massive wave of destiny.

Among all the smashed debris of myself keep quiet, and wait. For the word is Resurrection. And even the sea of seas will have to give up its dead.

Warden-Commander Eshalinjune “Shalin” Mahariel and Warden Zevran Mahariel of Clan Sabrae

this is a two-year old piece I completely forgot about that was almost complete, so I just rendered a bunch of metallic shine and a couple of shadows so I could post it. It’s pretty far from my current style but I still love this series of drawings I made of Shalin and Zevran.

If you’re curious, I have a whole lore thing that explains how Zevran got vallaslin, got adopted into Clan Sabrae, how he became a warden, who Shalin is, etc. etc. so if you’re into that you can check out the previous parts of that drawing series as well as the story I’m writing that covers Dragon Age Origins with Shalin as the Warden.

If you are impulsive, like angry. You can’t think straight. Look out the window and don’t look at anything. Just like dilate your gaze. It blunts your neuroadrenaline so you can think clearly.

If you have low motivation, this is interesting ~ focus on one spot on your screen for one minute. Ignore everything else. Pupilary convergence increases focus.

And finally, if you’re feeling insecure, low self-worth, write down your strengths. Logical thinking overrides your limbic system."
