Princess Alice Debuts New Portrait!

The Queen's youngest sister, Princess Alice, has officially released a new portrait ahead of her 18th birthday tomorrow.

For her birthday portrait, the 10th in line to the throne wore a pink gown from the Envie Collection, accompanied by the sash that marks her as being part of the Royal Edwardian order (started by King Edward I, Alice's sash is one given to children of the monarch, in this case, as a child of King Richard) as well as the family orders of her sister, Queen Anastasia and her father, King Richard, which was given to her shortly before his passing.

Alice also wore the Elphinstone Hoop Necklace, made for her 4th great grandmother, Queen Marie, as well as a new pair of earrings, believed to have been bought for Alice from her mother.

But for most people on social media and beyond, the real star of the show (other than Alice herself) was Queen Marie's Pink Tourmaline Tiara. The tiara was made and given to Queen Marie in 1858 as one of the many wedding presents she received from her new husband, King Edward II. Marie wore the tiara multiple times throughout her time as a member of the Royal Family, including in the last portrait made of her with King Edward II.

After Marie's death in 1918, however, the tiara went back into the vault and until today, no one was quite sure if it was still in the Royal Collection, dismantled or sold. Queen Anastasia is said to have given the tiara to her sister because she knew her sister would love and appreciate the tiara.

A small knock woke Ana from her slumber. She glanced towards the door and called out. “Kris? Is that you?” She half-expected their toddler son to sneak through the crack in the door and dove beneath the covers when a butler poked his head instead. “Ma’am…” He glanced at the couple close together in bed, Ana’s head barely poking above the sheets. “Oh, I’m terribly sorry.” He said avoiding eye contact. Ana blinked. “Huh?” The butler straightened up and looked at the far wall. “Princess Alice is in the Great Hall. She’s asking if she can spend the night.” Douxie groaned in his sleep, turning his bare back away from the noise. “Alice?” She asked, confirming that she had heard the name correctly. “Yes ma’am.” The butler replied. Ana groaned, her eyes darting to Douxie. “Let me get… dressed. I’ll be downstairs in a moment.” The butler nodded and closed the door and she heard footsteps quickly retreating. 

When she did get downstairs, she saw her youngest sister standing anxiously in the great hall, a small suitcase by her feet. “Your Majesty.” A butler said and Ana nodded to acknowledge she had heard them. 

Alice, who had been looking at one of the portraits on the wall, when Ana came down, brightened when she saw her sister. “Ana!” “Alice?” Ana asked, confused, as she tightened her robe. “What are you doing here?” Alice glanced down at her feet. “Can I spend the night? Maybe the next several nights?” Ana looked at her. Alice had never asked to spend the night before, she had always said that she was content at Lyne Priory when she was home on break. For her to be asking to stay the night… “Is everything okay?” Ana questioned. Alice glanced at her and then looked away just as quickly. “Mom talked shit about me.” She said finally. 

Ana froze. “What?” She heard herself ask. “Mom talked shit about me.” Alice repeated. “To who?” Ana blinked. “I dunno. I couldn’t make out the other voice.” Ana glanced upstairs to where her husband and children were sleeping. She tried to suppress a yawn. “Yeah. Yeah, you can stay the night. We’ll talk more in the morning.” Alice nodded and followed a butler upstairs. Ana lingered in the hall for a moment longer before following her.

Alice: Are you and Shiloh okay? Zara: While I am fine, I am absolutely fuming! And poor Shiloh almost had a panic attack! Alice: Oh my god...

Zara: I did manage to get a hold of Alexander, but sadly, that was after they had already torn up half of the place. Alice: Were they looking for something in particular? Zara: You think they’d tell?? Ugh, I just hope they haven’t stolen anything or I’ll sue Alexander’s ass to bankruptcy!

Alice: I... Honestly think that isn’t possible... Zara: Goddess, I am so mad, Alice! I just want to come back home Alice: I understand! Really, you can do that if you want!

Zara: Seriously?! You think I have that option!? Alice: Zara, I know you’re upset, but please don’t scream at me. Zara: You’re right, sorry.

Zara: I just want to warn you because I will give King Alexander a piece of my mind later and he may call you crying. Alice: Please don’t cause a diplomatic crisic. Zara: Crisis my ass! His soldiers scared my son, I don’t give a shit about politics right now. 

Zara: We’re heading for the border. I gotta hang up. Alice: Okay! Stay safe! Zara: Will do, thanks for listening.

Alice: *Sigh*

Alice: Always something, huh? Jakob: Yes, Your Majesty. Alice: Please have someone tell the PM and the Anyian embassy... Jakob: Right away, Your Majesty.

It had been a while since Ysolt had had time to visit her brother in Oasis Springs, and Emma still had never visited Ysolt's childhood home. So the Indigos drove down and spent the whole day there. Emma met her cousin Katy for the first time!
