People need to give more recognition and credit to the writers because, yes, Maya and Noah did an excellent job portraying Robin and Will and the struggles of being queer in the 80s but it was the writers who created these characters.

Robin's coming out was an amazing scene, Maya deserves all the praise in the world for it but it was the writers who wrote it.

Will was planned to be gay since the pitch.

It was the writers' and the Duffers' idea for Robin to be a lesbian (that it was Maya's idea was a misunderstanding).

Maybe the representation isn't perfect (that the word lesbian or gay isn't said out loud but f-slur it's in season 1) but the writers are trying, they care and that to me means a lot.

The Satanic Temple cannot help you get an abortion, and it does not deserve your support

In an email to Lead Stories on May 11, 2022, Ric Simmons, the Chief Justice Thomas J. Moyer Professor at the Moritz College of Law at Ohio State University, wrote that RFRA would not likely be a substantial enough claim:

Laws that ban or restrict abortion apply indiscriminately to everyone, so there would be no religious exemption to them under the first amendment, and it would be difficult to argue that obeying the law would create a substantial burden to exercising their religion (it may, of course, impose a substantial burden on women generally, but that is not RFRA's test).

[Mark Tushnet, the William Nelson Cromwell Professor of Law emeritus at Harvard Law School] wrote in detail to explain the full complexity of this issue

1. If the new member holds the beliefs associated with the Satanic Temple sincerely, and not opportunistically, she would be able to claim​ protection under the federal RFRA for actions against her by the federal government (not at all likely under current statutes because there aren't many federal statutes regulating those who have abortions) and under state RFRAs where they exist (in about 20 states, I believe, but of course, you should check). 2. A sincere belief would trigger RFRA protections but that doesn't mean that the action would in fact be protected. All RFRAs allow the government to override the religious belief for compelling reasons, and governments would certainly argue that protecting what they regard as human life is a compelling reason. I'm reasonably confident that the governments would prevail on that ground -- so, in the end, I think it unlikely that joining the Satanic Temple would actually provide protection against prosecution for having an abortion. 3. Samuel D. Brunson, the Georgia Reithal professor at the Loyola University Chicago School of Law, wrote in an email on May 11, 2022, that he's "pretty sure that the Satanic Temple is positioning itself to challenge anti-abortion legislation in various states."

The federal Religious Freedom Restoration Act, as well as most (if not all) state-level RFRAs don't say that the government cannot infringe on a person's free exercise rights under any circumstance at all. Rather, they say that to infringe on an individual's religious practice, the government must have a compelling governmental interest and the law it enacts must be the least restrictive means of furthering that interest. Is it possible that a member of the Satanic Temple can successfully challenge laws against abortion based on a religious belief in bodily autonomy? Yes, it is possible. But I suspect that the state would have the better argument. As much as we want an easy, costless way to deal with potential anti-abortion laws in a post-Roe world, something that seems easy and slick and too cute by half is probably not going to work. Protecting a woman's right to choose is, rather, going to require us to do the hard work of demonstrating, writing to representatives, and voting for people (at the federal and state levels) who will ensure that that right is protected. the Satanic Temple's approach is clever. And it highlights a real inconsistency among people who insist both on untrammeled religious liberty and prohibitions on abortion. But joining the Satanic Temple is unlikely to allow an individual in, for instance, Texas or Louisiana ignore state abortion bans.

So, the day is finally here. I will only go through the top 9 because that's the most important part anyway. Here's how it looks right now.

Jiwoong: he's my top 3 and I want him to make it, it does concern me a little bit that his hank went down by one but I'm sure that us Latinas will keep him in this group lmao

Yujin: I love him. He didn't show a whole lot, it's true, but I love this kind of arc on shows like this so I will be continuing to vote for him. I am stuck on that video of him saying that he loves the master. He is so cute

Hao: he gives Xiaoting vibes, idk why. I like him.

Gyuvin: (or at least I think that's his name) I have nothing against him but he didn't get in my radar. Like Yujin, he hasn't shown much yet and he doesn't have the same storyline so yeah

And with that I've finished Triangle Strategy. Comments on the second half of the golden route.

These last three chapters play out like a variation on Benedict's route: Exharme dies in a cavalry charge in the field, Lyla is fought (but here not killed) in the streets, and then it's the final battle against a magically oversized Idore, his robot hierophant, and her exploding marionettes. It's not terribly challenging once you figure out how Idore's invincibility gimmick works.

I can't say that Idore is a compelling villain, but he becomes unintentionally more interesting in that his motivation is at last revealed to essentially be Fire Emblem's thesis statement. Even without divine or supernatural beings humans will still fight because of their own weaknesses, and so he lost faith in both the goddess and humanity and so sought to control the people with corpse-powered immortality magic and an undying hierophant with no voice but what he gave to her. Serenoa gives the usual hero spiel about believing in people, but TS is at least realistic enough not to turn its "real" epilogue into an unambiguously happy ever after.

Said epilogue takes the form of Roland becoming king of a unified Norzelia but arriving at that point gradually, with self-governing territories (led by Svarog and Lyla, since everyone else is dead) and open trade borders. No word on how Hyzante's economy survives the devaluation of salt, or if it even does since that part of the epilogue is all about Lyla holding everyone together somehow and sharing her medical research with the world to everyone's benefit. Svarog has to put down a (counter) coup from Gustadolph's loyalists, and I wonder who's supposed to rule Aesfrost after him since hereditary rule remains the law of the land and Svarog's line has ended. I suppose the unspoken assumption is that House Wolffort will take over Aesfrost then via Frederica - and there's cause for a future war right here if civil unrest doesn't tear Hyzante apart...or Serenoa's kids don't start a succession crisis over the throne Glenbrook, because he does tell Roland that they're brothers here too. This happens in a sequence where Serenoa has long talks with both Benedict and Roland, allowing them to apologize for how they acted prior to the final vote and reaffirm that Benedict will continue serving House Wolffort and that Serenoa won't seek the crown even when offered, although he apparently does take all of the Roselle under his dominion. You may notice I've not mentioned someone here...

...and that's because Serenoa and Frederica don't speak to each other at all during this epilogue, even though it ends with their wedding. I swear, TS often feels actually afraid of writing romance scenes, even of the most banal variety, and I came away from this ending thinking that the route that ships Serenoa/Frederica the hardest is in fact the one where Serenoa dies. I guess it's cute that Erador and Geela cry at their wedding and that we see Lyla reunited with her son Quahaug (a conviction-based recruit interacting with the main plot, imagine that), but the scene cutting to credits just before they walk down the aisle practically demands that the player take up the story from there...except their relationship is so bland that I wouldn't want to even if I were into M/F.

Speaking of ship dynamics I'm not much into, Cordelia and Avlora are together at the wedding, and Avlora's character stories (which I had to grind a bit to see) continue to use Cordelia as her primary motivation. I believe I can confidently say that theirs is the single gayest relationship in all of TS, despite there being no solid romantic foundation. That's where fanon is going to have to step in.

I'd really like to know what happened during the timeskip after Louis brought AJ new clothes in ep 2. I think Kent said Clem and him didn't have much interaction, but I can't help but wonder... did they sit at the same table? Did they talk even if just for a little bit? How was he coping with Marlon's death? What did he do when he was all by himself and felt like he had no one to talk to? Still, I must admit that I'm happy with what we got in ep 2. The emotions, the tension, it all felt real.

[note: I’m answering this with Louis’ full romance route based on my choices in mind.]

I think it was mostly awkward and tense. They might’ve talked a little, but it wasn’t much. I firmly believe that there were a lot of looks, though. Stolen glances and lots of pretending to be unfazed by the other's presence. 

Louis still checked on AJ, but he and Clementine didn’t have any real conversations until Louis came to terms with his feelings and talked with her during his archery practice. 

I believe that during those two weeks Louis was still conflicted about his feelings for Clementine and AJ and the light shed on Marlon’s true character. 

I think he still had that small smudge disbelief [denial] in his brain. 

Like, even though Marlon flat out admitted that he gave the twins away and then killed Brody, a part of Louis is still saying “Marlon would never do that because that’s not who he is.” 

He’s in denial that his best friend [”-practically my brother-”] would ever think of doing that or was even capable of it. 

But then he thinks about Marlon pointing the gun at Clementine. That’s something Louis saw with his own eyes, something that he stood in between and, while Marlon moved the gun a bit, he still kept it pointed. He kept it pointed at Louis and Clementine.  

One thing that I firmly believe is that when Clementine turns to him for help and he tries to talk Marlon down... he’s still doesn’t fully believe that Marlon killed Brody. 

However...

What if, in that moment, he kills Clementine? What if he pulls the trigger [intentionally or not] and she dies? Clementine would be dead and Marlon would be a murderer for certain and Louis didn’t do a damn thing to stop it. 

While I believe he stepped between them to protect Clementine, I also think he did it to protect Marlon. He knows Marlon won’t intentionally shoot him, but he also knows that accidentally squeezing that trigger out of surprise or anger is a real possibility and that’s why he goes about it so slowly. That’s why he uses and words and goes towards him at a slow pace as to not startle him and have to gun go off. 

Then, Marlon admits everything. 

And AJ kills him. 

And Louis feels everything at once, resulting in his behavior at the beginning of ep2. He’s furious, heartbroken, horrified, and everything in between. 

When it finally sinks in that Marlon was a liar, a traitor, and a murder, it leaves him feeling betrayed and guilty. 

Guilty that he didn’t try harder in the past to help Marlon, guilty that he turned away from any signs of something wrong when it came to the twin’s “deaths”, guilty that he was ready to cower away from Marlon and have him possibly shoot and kill Clementine, and guilty that he voted for Clementine and AJ to leave, resulting in AJ being shot.

When it came down to it, he knows what Marlon did was fucked up and he understands why AJ did what he did. He’ll never be okay with how Marlon died, but over the course of the week, Louis was able to sort out his feelings and come to terms with what happened. He knows that he doesn’t hate AJ or Clementine- shit, obviously he still had a romantic attraction to her even after everything and that had to play into his inner conflict about the whole thing. 

As a side note, I actually have a personal headcanon that Marlon knew of Louis’ attraction to Clementine and shut it down when he got the chance. Like, Louis talked about how much he liked Clem and how he hopes she can stay. He enjoyed talking with her and having her there on the hunting trip. He’d talk about their batting practice and how he felt something when they were standing close together, and how worried he was about her during the train station scene.

And Marlon, knowing that Louis falling for Clementine would only cause issues due to the fact that he’s planning on giving Clementine away and it could potentially “take Louis away from him.” 

By that I mean Marlon has Louis under his thumb. While he gives Louis more special treatment than the others, Marlon feels he has some control over Louis and what he does. Clementine could be a threat to that if they get too close and she inflates his confidence in himself [which she does as evident in the future episodes] which could result in Louis questioning him more. 

When you watch Marlon’s face when Clementine turns to Louis, he stares Louis down with a cocked brow until Louis weakly says he can’t help. And then Marlon gets the biggest fucking shit eating grin because of this- because he thinks he has a hold of Louis. 

Until he steps between them, of course. 

What I’m getting at is this: With everything Louis knows [Marlon giving away the twins, killing Brody and trying to place blame on Clementine, and [possibly] attempting to manipulate Louis’ feelings towards Clementine for his own benefit], he can see was Marlon had become. 

And over the course of the two weeks, Louis realizes that he wants Clementine and AJ to stay permanently. And that his attraction towards Clementine hasn’t exactly faded, but due to doubts about himself, he keeps his distance until she comes to him and they finally sort things out and become comfortable with each other again.

While I completely understand the two week time skip, a selfish part of me wishes we could’ve gotten a little montage of the kids preparing with little bits of Clementine and Louis stealing glances at one another. Throw in some of AJ recovering, the kids collecting walker heads, and the ever-growing tension between Louis and Violet due to their priorities and you’ve got yourself a good 30-40 second montage time skip that gives us a little bit more detail without dragging anything out. Of course, again, that’s just me being my selfish self wanting things I would never be given haha

Sorry for the long answer, but I get really into analyzing and theorizing about Louis and Marlon’s friendship and how Marlon would’ve reacted to [and panicked about] Louis and Clementine forming a romance. 

It really makes me wish we could’ve been given a week to spend with the Ericson kids and see these relationships more before the conflict reared its ugly head. But, y’know.

Creative Disfunction (SFC Submission)

Summary: Human/School AU. Roman laments over his inability to start anything. Or finish anything. Or really do anything at all.

Roman tilted his phone, trying to get the best angle for a selfie. He knew it was late, and no one would probably even see it until much later, but right now he really needed some good old-fashioned peer validation. He sat back down, scrolling through the camera roll, deleting all of the nasty ones.

There were only three left by the end of it.

He bit his lip, flipping between the three until ultimately choosing the second. He posted it with a cute caption, then turned his phone off with a sigh, putting it back on the ground next to him.

Even with all the handsome selfies in the world, Roman hated himself.

Well, he supposed that wasn't entirely accurate. He thought he looked good on some occasions, was fairly confident in his acting abilities, and knew he had a propensity for matching colors, which he liked.

But right then, sitting on his bedroom floor at 12:00 am with two tests and a dance call the next day and absolutely nothing done about any of them, he really did hate himself, or at least his stupid brain.

Why couldn't he ever do things? Even things we wanted to do, like make aesthetics for his friends, or watch a new tv show? He felt… Trapped, stuck in this loop of unproductiveness, even though he figured it was his fault.

He should have just done something, but he didn't.

He could be so much farther, so much better off if he could just force himself to buckle down.

“You've got so much potential!” His parents would say. “You can do so much, Roman. Don’t let that go to waste.”

And he didn't want to, he wanted to do well!

Didn't he?

Working hard was the only way to achieve the dreams he was so desperate to reach.

So why didn't he?

Roman felt tears pricking in the corners of his eyes, whether from frustration or dispair or exhaustion, he didn't know.

He wasn't going to cry.

“It's so easy,” he whispered aloud to himself.

He was not going to cry.

“You could be doing this so easily, and what are you doing? Lamenting over it like some bratty baby! This is all your fault you know!” He cried, his volume raising. He pointed his finger at his own chest.

“This is all your fault because you're a spoiled child who doesn't face consequences for his actions and only ever creates his own problems!”

He wasn't going to cry.

He leaned back.

He was not going to cry.

“If you really cared, you would do something.” He muttered through gritted teeth.

“If I really cared, I would do something but I… I don't.”

He sighed, thinking of how disappointed Logan was going to be with him when Roman told him tomorrow morning that he hadn't done anything.

Even worse, he'd just roll his eyes.

Logan would be disappointed, yes, but he'd come to accept it.

He wasn't going to tell Patton.

He'd spent most of the day talking to him after all, the two of them texting back and forth, and the last thing Roman wanted was Patton thinking this was his fault.

And Virgil…

Well, Virgil had enough going on in his life. It wouldn't be fair to make him sit through one of Roman’s little bitch fits when he was going through so much worse.

He wasn't going to cry.

He sat back up.

He was not going to cry.

This pity party was really starting to get pathetic…

Oh, why did he always wait until the last minute! It was like he wanted to make things the most difficult they could be! What sort of sadistic lifestyle was this, and where would it lead him?

Certainly not to Broadway.

Nor to becoming an award-winning author.

What kind of knight gave up when the going got tough? What kind of Prince shirked his duties?

A cowardly one.

He certainly didn't want to be cowardly, but whenever a task was laid out in front of him, he couldn’t help but imagining the perfect version of what it could be, lurking in the shadows before he hid it away in the depths of his folder. He could never live up to that… He always felt like he was setting himself up for failure right out of the gate.

Or worse, when he finally started to get the hang of something, he'd dismiss it as “easy” and get completely and totally off track, underestimating the time and effort it would take to complete. And it really did not take much to get him off track. He’d once whiled away at least five minutes of precious time on a social studies final simply staring into space and attempting to decide which fruit flavored candies actually tasted like the fruit they were based on.

And what did not having enough time do? It killed him, because he refused to turn in anything half-assed, even when it would benefit him to do so.

If he couldn't be the best, he could at least be the best he could be. That was a healthy outlook, right?

Now all he had to do was make himself believe it.

“I'm… trying.”

He attempted to reassure himself.

“I'm trying all the time, but it's just too hard…”

But of course, he was the one making it hard on himself. He was the one imposing these challenges by not pacing himself, which was stupid!

Some part of his brain did have the courtesy of acknowledging that he wasn't really stupid, he just made stupid decisions sometimes. While he appreciated this, he had to wonder how many stupid decisions it took to call it a stupid habit, because he was pretty sure he'd reached that point. And from there, how many stupid habits did it take to actually make a bonafide stupid person?

Roman looked down at the math homework in front of him. The test was tomorrow, and next to none of it was done. He didn't understand.

He wasn't going to cry.

Of course he didn't understand if he didn't do the work, how was he supposed to learn? Idiot.

He was not going to cry.

He thought he would be able to just pick it all up in class, like he’d done for years. He’d always had a great memory after all, and an eye for detail, which worked wonders for him in the theatre world. He had always been what some people had called “naturally talented.” Of course he'd later learn that this didn't really mean anything, but it sure did give him one hell of a complex. So now, whenever he had to actually work at something… enter the mental block.

But guess what? He asked himself. That's not going to cut it anymore.

He was doing the same thing in science, a class he'd never done horribly in before, not even last semester.

And you know why? It's because he wasn't doing his damn work, that's why.

Which lead him back to his self pitying, woe-is-me plight of “why can't I just do my work?!??!”

“Grow up.” He snapped aloud to himself.

If he was going to act like this about school, how was he ever going to do things in the real, adult world?

Life wasn't a magical fantasy where everything worked itself out, and wishing for a miracle wasn't going to help him solve a trigonometric function.

...Though to be fair, when was he ever going to use trig in the real world anyways? Never, because when he had a real job-

A real job…

A real job like what? he asked himself.

Logan knew what he was doing with his life. He was going to be an astrophysicist and rake in the big bucks with that sharp brain of his. Or he could start a business, he'd always been the best in econ and stats, or whatever math you do in business, Roman couldn't remember if that was stats or not at the moment. He’d end up creating a huge enterprise and leave Roman in the dust.

Patton was going into education with a culinary minor, he was going to be a FACS teacher. Family and consumer science. Home ec? That class. He loved kids, he loved teaching people how to cook and sew and live a healthy life, the job was a perfect fit for him, and he was going to be happy.

In a twisted kind of way, it made Roman a little bit relieved to know that Virgil was also undecided as to which field he would be going into. But despite what Señor Sunshine liked to claim, he was a hard worker when it came to academics, even if it was just “anxious drive,” as he called it. He was going to do great things, even if he didn't know that yet.

But Roman…

What could Roman do?

All his skills came from his creativity. He made things, art pieces, performances, poetry. It's what gave him his drive, his passion.

But that didn’t translate very well to the real world. He wasn't that naïve, he knew that getting work as an actor was difficult and that life would be constantly unstable. He knew getting things published was a nightmare and most likely wouldn't earn him living wages.

All he could do was create.

And he knew the world didn’t need him, not when there were so many other much more talented people willing to work so much harder for their passions.

Roman glanced at the clock. It was getting late.

He sighed, closing his math folder.

Whatever.

He had to be up at 5:00 am, and he knew that no matter how much he hated himself now, he was going to hate himself even more when that alarm rang.

So he stood up, knees aching from being bent for so long while he sat. He turned out the lights, then practically threw himself into his bed, curling the blankets tight around him.

I’m not going to cry, he thought to himself as he lay in the quiet, still darkness.

That would be entirely pathetic and undeserved.

He closed his eyes, wiping something wet from his cheek.

“You know what? I don't even care,” he whispered to himself, caring deeply.

I am not going to cry.

Maybe not that night.

But he sure was going to have to some time.

Episode 16 and 17- “I'm trying to go from the girl who lived to the girl who won okay”-Autumn

On... the wrong side of the vote again, which sucks but as I have said before, Lily was definitely one of my biggest competitions in the game!  I am SO SHOOK that I am sitting in the final four right now.  Not to sound all cocky but I feel like I have a little bit of a chance!   I feel like if I do make it I will get dragged by all of the jurors for playing a bit of a snake-y game but I think at the same time it has been a GOOD game.  I've withheld information and told information all at the right times to make it this far anyway.   If I want to make it to the final three I HAVE to win this immunity.  Seriously, everything is riding on this because obviously Autumn and Chips are going to continue working together and Juls would be a FOOL to make it go to a firemaking challenge to give me a chance to stay in.   I'm feeling VERY lonely right now without Lily to talk to but I'm going to push through and try to look on the bright side.  THIS is what I wanted, like I needed her to go so I could push my way to the end but I just wasn't ready for it to happen yet! So, when I play Survivor I get fourth place very often... maybe I can break that trend by winning this immunity.  FINGERS CROSSED!!

I just wrote my ROP and I am so emotional right now.  I'm glad that I'm done and can just sleep and cry and not have to worry about any game related stuff until the challenge tomorrow.  I feel like it will be some kind of endurance-y thing so time to get in some sleep, a nap tomorrow and work my ass off to get myself into the final three!   I didn't realize how sad I was about Lily leaving until writing ROP, who knew this was going to hit me as bad as Dan and Owen going home did.   If I do make it to the end I am AWFUL at answering questions on the spot so I'm not looking forward to that.  I also can't handle getting dragged by the jury without like awkwardly laughing or crying so... if I do make it this will be fun.  

Wow. So the vote was definitely A LOT. Lily lied all day and had a plan with Ruthie (trying to bring in Juls) to vote Autumn. I wanted to vote for Lily pretty much all day and then she pitches to me that voting Autumn makes sense because it would improve my odds of winning if I go to the end since Autumn and I share a lot of credit in the game. Of course I know that that is a lot of bull since there is nothing but immunity to stop Ruthie and Lily from voting me the following round. Then I'm kind of... stuck!!! Whatever move I make for the vote does not benefit ME. I either give power to the Hufflepuffs by keeping the two intact to plan to eliminate me or I give power to Autumn to turn around at final tribal and say that I've been her goat this whole time. I told Autumn before the vote that she has nothing to fear from me flipping on her and let her know exactly what Lily told me. I know that probably makes me seem cringe but I am an ally! I have played all of merge WITH Autumn and I honestly feel that if either she or I make FTC and win that WE have won. I don't really care if I'm given the title or she is because we have worked the votes and the players to get results that we needed and have taken pretty much every curveball thrown at us in stride. We have made it to final four without any advantages to play and I guarantee that if Autumn does not win immunity that I am going to let her go to fire making.

I still can't believe it honestly. Like I can because Gryffindor is THAT house but whew chile the emotions. Saving me is the key to my heart so if Juls and Chips ever need anything, they know who to call

Can we talk about how bad my memory is? LOL.  Okay- I'm sure I can win the endurance and I have a cute idea that BETTER win the creativity one.  I'm just going to work on the puzzle as much as I can and HOPE that even with that bad memory score I can knock the rest of these things out of the park! I NEED THIS TO STAY IN!

I am so nervous about this challenge!  I NEED to win this.  I know I bombed the memory comp but I think I did pretty good on the creative part, I'm ROCKING this endurance challenge and I think I'm doing pretty good on the puzzle too.  I!  Have!  A!  Chance! If I end up not winning I'll be happy with myself for trying my hardest though.   I'm so tired, I set a bunch of alarms on my phone so I could sleep and wake up to post for the challenge and while I did get sleep the waking up and going back to sleep thing took a toll on me, haha!

I am a GONER!!  I am happy for Autumn though- she won it fair and square.  I really don't have anything up my sleeve to try and stay except for maybe using the note power thing?  I don't know what good it would do.  I am both sad and happy at the same time.  Maybe one of them will have a revelation and decide they want to get Juls or Chips out before FTC but I think my time here is gone.  It has been fun and I can't wait to get a good nights sleep tonight, hehe. 

30 minutes later

Juls saying she has to think about things is key word for what I thought... I'm gone!  It is okay though and I really don't blame her.  She said some very sweet things to me though which means SO much but if I were in her position I'm not sure that I would take me either.   I'm not sure that I would win but I did vote wrong many times and I formed close relationships with a lot of the jury members.  It will be AMAZING if I stay but I've already kind of got it in my head that I'm going.   I have NO IDEA who I will vote for.  Autumn really brought it for that last challenge and I could really see her winning this whole thing- which is why I wanted her gone for a few rounds now!  Chips has also played a great game and the fact that he's gotten out of being voted out says a lot about him too.  As for Juls I also think that she played a great game.  Kind of a low key game and I'm sure she is going to get some questions like... "WHAT DID YOU DO???" but I think she played a great game, won the chess immunity and could also take this whole thing home.  

The immunity challenge was four parts! Woohoo? It was a lot! And if I"m being honest I don't know that I will ever again do a 24 hour challenge. I will probably just do it ONE TIME in the future. If I wanted to feel like I had a newborn again I would have another child. Autumn won immunity by the skin of her teeth (which is awesome because I was on the bottom end of third place) and so now I believe Ruthie is the final vote of the season. This will make it all Gryffindors going into the final tribal council. I don't know that Juls would vote me instead of Ruthie at this point, but if she does then I'm pretty sure we are going to enter into firemaking me versus Ruthie - since I'm pretty confident Ruthie will be voting me one last time before the season's voting rounds come to an end. It's exciting to probably be going into final tribal council and I'm going to do my best to talk myself up to the jury. I played the best game that I could play in the situation I was in at merge and I don't think it was necessarily a goat game - I just think that I am going in with a frontrunner in my duo partner as well as having done very little to differentiate myself from her to make myself shine. Going to have to dig in to past events and rounds to come up with something twistos twisty to stand out.

I don't have time to film a video rn now cause Akhmim boys are getting on my nerves lmao BUT yes I will give yall one more this weekend since I'm IMMUNE and I got time. I'm trying to go from the girl who lived to the girl who won okay

in this story vampirism is a sentient entity and all connected via a hivemind known as "the Garble".... it lives in the vampires' blood and can manipulate their thoughts as well as give them heightened strength and speed, claws and fangs, and night vision when they need it. it can be useful, but mostly it's a bully and an inconvenience

at the centre of the Garble hivemind lives the very first vampire, an undead rotting corpse and the god of vampires, and a few of their close friends and confidants. all life force collected by regular vampires flows to them at the centre and grants them immortality and power. it's a sweet deal for the folks at the centre, and a terrible deal for ordinary vampires like Nat who rarely reap any real benefits from their condition, but are threatened and manipulated into participating in this system regardless

Nat's story sees him struggling to solve the mystery of how and why he was turned and trying to balance his kind, caring nature with his new violent condition... and eventually leads him to, "hey, I think I'm going to hunt down and eat the rest of vampire god"

What do you think Anders should have done, if you think he was wrong? I'm just finding it hard to see any alternative.

I could give at least five alternatives and they’d still all have alternatives to themselves. They’d still have things that could have gone wrong/done wrong and points/goals they would have met. I could, but I’m not going to. 1) because I don’t feel like arguing on what he could have done, 2) I’m Pro-Mage and I love Anders, but also he messed up and I accept that, and 3) As wrong as he was, damn if I don’t have a little satisfaction at knowing Elthina wasn’t as untouchable of a Lawful Evil as she thought she was.

That said I stand by that Anders did mess up. Nothing he did in Kirkwall did anything to help the Mages or Makes a Point. And he ended up destroying at least a chunk of a Free Marcher city where the politicians were corrupt and the little people, who were ultimately hurting more, were…well hurt more. 

Now that could 100% be Bioware’s fault, because they are the ones writing the outcomes to these events. But what Anders did, didn’t cause the Mage Templar War. He did give confidence to some of the mages and become a symbol, but it was a relatively small impact in the grand scheme of things that mattered to only a few. 

The Templars were always going to crack down on all mages, the mages were always going to decree the Templars had finally gone too far on the many innocent among them (and also find out about Tranquility being reversible), and they both were always going to split from a Too Conservative, but also Too Neutral Chantry. What Anders did, was speed up the conflict. Which I guess also has its benefits and setbacks.

Just there were things a lot of people could have done, or things that could have happened. But in the end, Anders did his thing and that’s what we have. The Templar/Mage conflict was sped up only by maybe an Age or so and things came to a head over issues that in the end barely relied on Kirkwall’s Circle falling. We are left with nothing but hindsight.

What Anders did was retaliate for all the awful, AWFUL shit he had to go through in his life and try to give Kirkwall an end (one way or another); it doesn’t make him right and it doesn’t make the fight for mages/mage rights wrong. It’s also not me saying that there should have been a passive or diplomatic solution, lives do sometimes need to be lost or will be lost for justice/equality (See the Actual Templar/Mage War, which I do think was necessary and the Inquisition magically fixing a centuries old issue with a single political vote was bullshit).

Episode 9 - "I'm gonna have to deal with a pagonging" - Jacob

So... that happened. God I’m glad I voted the way I did. This cleared up a lot of things too. Emily and Vilma were obviously playing they’re own game, and Michael obviously is thinking of himself as a mastermind. Well, think again. Now I’ve got a rough choice though, stay with Clash and co? Clash is kinda a loose cannon, and the alliance doesn’t really seem air tight. Or do I try and repair things with Ala Mai? Michael does give me concern but Tyler and Jacob seem smart, and after where Emily and Vilma voted Jacob might be on board with shaking things up. Hmmmmmmm, I got some thinking to do.

Once you’ve betrayed an alliance, theres no going back. And I’ve betrayed all of mine at one point or another. The one I’ve betrayed the least though? The Underdogs with Clash and Pat. Andreas is a bully. Emily getting voted out sucks, but it really was her own fault. Her reluctance to pick a side ended up being her down fault. Stephen going against the vote however was very unexpected and worries me for the next round. Touchy Subjects is always a fun and interesting challenge. Some of the results are really interesting, such as myself being most honest, yet also most likely to backstab... How does that work? Glad Jacob won immunity, he needs a round of no votes, but I'm worried its going to get me votes now. While the Ala Mai boys seem to be on par and want to vote out Liana, but I am worried about an Idol. I am strongly considering using my vote block this round and then having a split vote making it a 3-2-2 vote, protecting us from an idol play. I may need to sleep on it and see how I feel in the morning

So this round is messy because Allan left and now it can be a tie and I def need Stephen for that I will try and go on call with Stephen explain to him and get Liana pat with me and force a tie at least. 

So I'm immune this round (YAY) but I can't talk to anyone while I am (BOO). The decision to use the power really wasn't easy at all and I'm still not sure if I made the right one. Last Tribal, the lines were clearly drawn 5-4 and I'm on the winning side, right now. But this season hasn't really had clear alliance lines and it would be so easy for one or two people to flip and leave me and Clash in the dark. That's not to mention the lack of idol plays yet, meaning there are most likely at least 2, possible 3 out there. That's why I used my power. I really just hope that I haven't accidentally screwed "My Side" over and if Clash gets voted out I will be PISSED. 

Slightly terrified, I'm glad I have immunity though, touchy subjects really revealed a lot about players. I'm hoping I can trust Tyler, Vilma and Stephen this vote, otherwise I'm gonna have to deal with a pagoning. 

Alright so Emily and I clowned ourselves last round........ I'm honestly down to go all the way with him if it came down to it, I don't think I have very good chances of getting to the end any other way. My only fear is I told him the Ala Mai bois are targeting Liana and he could very well pull some crazy tricks with that information if he wanted to. He also said he was concerned the Ala Mai bois are just bluffing me and will vote him out instead while making me throw my vote onto Liana. I guess it's possible but I'd be honestly disappointed if Michael lied to me about how they're voting. Clearly the Ala Mai bois can't afford to lose me as their number? They're going to need me next round, although I'm not too sure I will help. They're a dangerous four. I'm also concerned because Liana is definitely a smart cookie and she could be planning to idol one of us out right as we speak. I just hope it won't be myself. I thought about throwing a hinky vote somewhere to avoid getting idoled out but I'm not quite sure if I should do that. That could piss other people off. I've already played weird enough.

Episode 2 - “Y'all. Vote me out fr cause I'm inactive as fronk” - Joshua (through Autumn)

I hate flag-making challenges. I will not be helpful at all, and I hope that someone else can take the reigns and lead us to victory. I honestly feel safe going into a tribal council, but I do not want to test that theory.

Next morning

With Chips and Jules working on the crest designs, I feel confident that we will do well in the challenge. Maybe not the best, but definitely not the worst. I still have the same anxious feeling that my tribe is not active enough for my taste, but I will just have to live with it for now. Besides, at least this is not immunity because that we increase my anxiety by so much. But, I keep forgetting to search the idol hunt which is my bad, but it is just so hard and long that I do not really feel like searching all the time lol

ART CHALLENGE <333 i love these challenges. Jess made my picture 110% better and its super cute. The note that she wrote with it is also hella cute and I love the whole HP aesthetics bc i never got to go to real hogwarts ;-; but i'm sure most of yall can related. The boys weren't too helpful but nick was better than jacob who is sick. Nick was way more active aka jacob said 3 sentences the entire challenge sooooo…. if we lose idk I might just save jacob anyways bc pregame relations.

Won reward, but now we have to win immunity again. I really hope that this reward helps us continue to survive. I don't want to have to vote anyone out. We've been getting first, but I really just want to survive this challenge, its known to be hard.

I think I have been stuck with the second most challenge inept tribe in the history of my ORG career. I literally said so many answers in my version of the story and Jules just fucked it up. And then they got the girl's name wrong. And then they started mixing up characters. I know I did well, but fuck these people. God. Now we need a tribe to get 0 which is very unlikely. I will just resign myself to tribal. I hope and pray that these people have some common sense and do not want to vote me out

Listen. Listen. Listen. I dang knew this story was going to be Harry Potter based. I knew in my brain and in my heart that I shouldn’t have been the one to start that thing. What do I do? Start the dang thing. Oh well. We did alright. I would be shocked if we won tho but if we don’t I’ll be relieved. I def don’t feel confident enough but I really had a lot of fun with my tribe. I really miss this and really hope that my time isn’t cut short! I feel really good about my tribe mates sincerely. And that’s kind of scary! I would hate to see any of us to go and how it’s going to affect the bond we have if we vote someone out. In this moment with Max sitting out, it may be him who goes if we go to tribal. Honestly Jules dropped the ball sis!! But it’s okay, I love her. She’s really nice and I know she tried her best. Plus she’s in an alliance with me and Owen, so we should have the numbers against Joanna or Miguel if we go to tribal. Personally, I’d prefer Joanna to go. She’s kinda domineering, but she’s also an asset in challenges thus far. She is organized and direct. I’ve also talked to her a bit more than Miguel, so I guess I don’t really care who goes.

I’m happy I didn’t fuck up the reward comp and the shit that I drew got us a win!

I really hope I don't bomb that challenge, I answered everything that Kevin talked to me about.... I think!  The rest of them tried very hard but I am SOOO glad that I asked to do my part at the end because my memory of repeating things is horrendous but I'm usually pretty good at bullshitting test answers... too bad I got some of the multiple choice stuff wrong.

I think that if we do lose I am still in a good spot on this tribe and hopefully I won't be in danger.  I feel like I'm on everyone's good side and Max kind of just disappeared so maybe we could just vote him out this round? Idk.

Hopefully we don't have to worry about it.  I smell a swap coming up pretty soon and I just hope I'm either with Owen or with some of the people from my tribe.  I have no idea if they know anyone or are close with anyone in the other houses.

I'm still feeling the closest to Lily and Kevin but I have been talking to Landen a good bit too these days so hopefully we'll be safe or we can all just agree on Max.

Tonight we learned Joshua is a feminist selfless man that I stan because he's volunteering to go home without me having to put his name out, which I was going to do. Like imagine if every guy had that kind of self-awareness, to recognize why he should be the vote and then embrace it instead of wreaking havoc. And wanting to see others succeed more than yourself? King shit! He knew when to hang it up and did just that. Like the number of times I've seen a vote get complicated for no fucking reason because everyone wants a fight to the death. Enough- I'm old, tired, and cannot exert too much energy at once. We got a long game ahead of us, not to mention quarantine. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you Joshua. We need more players like you and I appreciate your service

im back back BACK AGAIN with another confessional! not much has changed but a few updates for the sake of these being required :) 1. max has become even more inactive, he's not reached out to me personally since the first day and any time i messaged him after that he's sent me nothing back that i can build a convo off of, so we just have stopped speaking. Luckily this challenge only required four people and everyone else SHOWED UP!! or at least spoke about their availability, while he did not. However in his defense he said he was having some issues at home and i feel for him but his inability to connect has been an issue before he spoke about anything in our tribe chat with us. I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt but this point my relationships with the other 3 are leaps and bounds ahead of where I am at with Max. Maybe he can pick up some speed if we continue winning challenges but, it's not looking too hot. SPEAKING OF CHALLENGES, well first we lost reward AGAIN, but we won immunity.. AGAIN! thank goodness for not being first or second boot, i always love being able to avoid these early tribals and if i can get to a swap without seeing one that would be ideal, but also if we do go and maybe vote out max? wouldn't be the worst thing. Moral of the story we won and thats exciting! however.. if we didn't.. the first big push of strategic talk came up with landen when he hinted at being frustrated with max's lack of presence which I also share. I do believe if we lost me and landen could have most definitely picked up ruthie and lily to form a four against him, if he even came to tribal. That would be my ideal situation and if we continue on this tribes hopefully it gives me a nice cushion to fall on if we do lose so i dont have to entirely blow up my social game within the first few rounds by voting out someone i've built a connection with. If max can go and the remaining four hufflepuffs can make a swap I would feel good about that, and maybe in the right circumstances we could work together on the swapped tribes because i genuinely like all of these people (yes max too but in this specific scenario he wouldn't be included bc... well..) anyways to close this off i still absolutely ADORE lily, she is fun and our conversations are really good, and same goes for ruthie, hopefully i dont have to see either of them or myself go home before we can really start playing because i think we could do some damage. :) ok anyways this was longer than i thought it would be goodbye

Dear diary, seems like we keep winning challenges, which is great but tbh i feel like every time i give a disadvantage to my team because english is not my first Language, and so far its been a vocabulary test and a listening and speaking test. I kind of want to lose soon though to see how things would shake out, but I don't really have bad blood with anyone. Joanna seems passionate enough in the tribe chat and the challenges, even if she's dry in PMs. Miguel still won't give me anything other than a "how are you," but I hope the best for him in life lol

Still love Jules and Dan, and we made a three person alliance, but I haven't talked with either of them much one on one since it happened.... I really need to step the social game up eventually, but right now, I'm coasting, and maybe that's what I need before I find the time and resources in this game to strike!!

The idol hunt is hard but Dan seems onto something. Honestly he's gonna be a big threat sooner or later so he's sticking around as long as I can keep him! The last two games I've been in I've seen "goats" get dragged to the end and locked in final 3 positions, and then these perceived goats have ended up winning. so I want the big players in this game to rise to the top and fight it out in the end!

Slytherin killed the memory challenge. We thought we were all gonna flop bc all of us thought we sucked at memory stuff. um well we knocked it out of the park? Ravenclaw got 4 and huff/gryff got 1. We got 7 so oops. I do hope things turn out well for Gryffindor but no one I really know/care about is in that house so I'm not too worried. I hope they continue to lose or even hufflepuff since ravenclaw has 2 of my friends in it.

I have been TERRIBLE with confessionals but only because there's really not been much going on? I have an alliance with Dan and Owen, and even though I wrote off Joanna I was DEFINITELY wrong in doing that. Miguel is sort of the outlier. Our team is kinda iconic though? We've done so well on all the challenges. I might be the weakest link? More to come.

it's pretty sad but the whole tribe has agreed to vote max if we lose, basically he's just never around because of what's going on at home and like thats sad but... we gotta do what we gotta do *shrug*. I'm really feeling good about Hufflepuff moving forward, i've never bonded this much this easily with EVERYONE on a tribe and i just feel like if we keep winning or even if we lose and have to vote out max, we could be a great group for the future. especially i feel great about working with kevin, we dominated eve's game after eve came between us in 2020 that dastardly witch... :P (juuust kiddin. love ya!) but now we could totally do well in this game too i think.....

lily and ruthie are just so sweet and we really bond talking about pretty much anything,, especially lily is a great conversationalist and i just find it so natural to talk to them both. i'd love to work with any combination of people from hufflepuff in the future, hopefully i start sucking a little less at all these challenges. i think i did pretty great on memory :D

So here is the summary of what has happened since last time

We had a reward challenge that was drawing. Mine sucked. Apparently 3/4 so no reward.

We played Telephone. My team didnt realize that details are the most important parts of that and didnt share then with Autumn so Autumn didnt share them with me. Then I didnt know them when asked about them.

We scored 1 point and lost. Since I still have no alliance I'm scared that it could be me. So I kind of got an idea how everyone was feeling.

Juls let me know she wanted to vote Joshua and- it's not me so that's fine!

Then I was talking to Autumn about it and - OOP! Josh asked to be voted out. So unless he plays an idol I'm supposing he is leaving after asking to go.

woo my tribe won immunity!! we are safe! i’m glad bc i’m forming good relationships with ppl on my tribe. i think we all get along rly well so i hope we keep winning. the challenge was fun and i slayed bc i’m skinny mwah

Ya know what’s refreshing? Being on a tribe that actually wins!!! The last three games I’ve played I’ve been on flop ass starting tribes.

CONFESSIONAL 2.1 —

Not much strategy has happened this episode, just simply tribal bonding! We are SlytherWINNING, getting reward and immunity this time! How wonderful.

Regarding my tribe mates, I love all three. I pray, pray, pray we make swap, i do Noh want to be a dirty bad guy and have to vote one out.. yet. Haha.

I was drunk during immunity, one full glass of rum & coke, so I am shocked that we won immunity. Honestly, I feel silly admitting I was drunk to my tribe because... if I can do that when drunk, imagine if I was sober. Competition Beast, duh.

I also gave up my run this round for the tribe to use. Was partially social, partially I just do not understand how to do the Hunt, so I might as well help the greater good. Either way, it comes off positively.

Hoping for a smooth journey for a little longer!
