Inspecting Company Priorities: The Impact Of Inventory Buybacks On Employees, Communities And Buyers
Also, in some years administration would possibly wish to return extra capital to shareholders, whereas in different years they may find some good organic progress alternatives or acquisitions, and so they want to use extra capital for these initiatives. If they pay out most of their revenue as dividends, and have a dedication to grow that dividend yearly, then they are sort of backed into a corner. Part of the reason that the buybacks were so effective was that the price-to-earnings ratio of the company averaged only about 12x during this era, whereas most companies have a price-to-earnings ratio of 15x-20x or more. That means each dollar they spent buying again their own shares went a good distance.
But a reliable CEO who spends money on a buyback even after investing successfully in operations?
These shareholders would unambiguously prefer dividend distributions over buyback applications with this excise tax in effect.
Growth in financial profit incorporates both whole earnings development and return on invested capital.
The incontrovertible fact that the corporate has confidence to make use of its reserves to buy again its personal shares give a touch that the corporate management perceives it as undervalued.
Our editorial group does not obtain direct compensation from our advertisers.
Stocks may go up or down in price for irrational causes, but if the corporate retains paying and growing its dividends, your funding revenue stays unaffected.
If promoters settle for the buyback then it maintains their stake and provides cash. Alternatively, if shareholders forfeit the buyback, they are able to enhance their stake within the company. This is critical when the corporate is wary of other companies making an attempt to take them over. If any related business does not carry out properly, sentiment spreads to the original business that was previously making profits. Martin agreed that “it seems very possible” companies will begin to favor cash dividends and cut back buybacks. But a reliable CEO who spends cash on a buyback even after investing successfully in operations? In years of extraordinary will increase in earnings, share repurchases can substitute for particular cash dividends. Alternatively, tender presents happen at a set price or at a price vary by way of a Dutch public sale. Shareholders who do not tender increase their relative place within the company. Direct negotiations with main shareholders to get them to sell their positions are much less common as a result of they might destroy worth for remaining stockholders. But over the long-term, the corporate will even have sooner earnings per share development because of accelerated buyback power, and traders that reinvest dividends will own extra shares than they would if the worth remained higher. This is as a end result of now each dollar the corporate spends on share repurchases shall be twice as highly effective.
Tax And Accounting Areas
Last evening, Senate Democrats introduced an agreement on the Inflation Reduction Act that, among different changes to a previous version of the bill, would apply a 1 percent tax on firms repurchasing their very own inventory. This proposal was included in the House-passed Build Back Better Act last 12 months and was estimated at the moment to boost $124 billion over 10 years . This measure would be positive that revenue transferred from companies to rich shareholders doesn't proceed to escape taxation. In each problem of my free publication, I give updates on stocks that I think about good values, usually including some which would possibly be shopping for again shares and paying dividends, since it’s an space of curiosity for me. It’s an equally weighted index of the top one hundred S&P 500 firms when it comes to the share of market capitalization price of shares they are repurchasing over the last 12 months.
youtube
Rather, we discover that many executives have come to believe that share repurchases create value just by increasing EPS. The logic seems to be that earnings throughout a smaller number of shares mathematically increases EPS, and if EPS will increase and the price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio stays fixed, then a company’s share worth must enhance. Because a share repurchase reduces a company’s outstanding shares, we might even see its largest impression in per-share measures of profitability and cash move corresponding to earnings per share and money circulate per share . Assuming that the price-earnings (P/E) a quantity of at which the stock trades is unchanged, the buyback ought to eventually result in a higher share price. Many of the best companies strive to reward their shareholders via constant dividend increases and common share buybacks. A share repurchase is also recognized as a float shrink because it reduces the number of a company’s freely trading shares or float.

Microsoft is outperforming in its cloud providers section, rapidly gaining market share. Texas Instruments is holding and gaining market share in analog chips and embedded systems. It’s as a outcome of they use extra capital for buybacks after they’ve spent the suitable amount on research and growth.

Dividend funds and curiosity funds in lots of jurisdictions are subject to different tax therapy at both the corporate and private levels. So, blue chip corporations often use a mixture of dividends and share repurchases to return capital to shareholders. Shareholders put cash into publicly traded corporations for capital appreciation and earnings. Therefore, Stock Market Trading for Beginners is sensible to solely pay out a certain percentage as dividends, so that even throughout a recession if income lower, the dividend will nonetheless likely be safe and in a place to continue to grow. The two riskiest and probably most rewarding makes use of of capital are to reinvest in organic development and make acquisitions, the first two on that record. It generally takes years for these investments of capital to pay for themselves, and whether or not they work or not is very depending on enterprise circumstances and executive strategy. Both of them purchase back lots of shares, however in addition they are gaining and maintaining market share in key areas. Using a stable dividend policy, a company tries to align its dividend development fee to the company’s long-term earnings development rate. Dividends may increase even in years when earnings decline, and dividends will enhance at a decrease fee than earnings in boom years. This is of course an excessive example- the deferred scenario is an organization that pays no dividends and grows its share price at 10% per 12 months, while the other company’s share value does not develop and it pays a 10% dividend every year. First, inventory buybacks create the potential for inventory worth manipulation in violation of Section 9 of the Exchange Act. Most simply, share repurchases could also be used to manipulate inventory prices as a result of the very nature of buying again inventory means that the remaining shares rise in worth. Stock buybacks have turn into a favorite corporate follow as a end result of they're a straightforward and quick mechanism to raise share costs and increase earnings per share . Companies have been allowed to repurchase their shares on the open market with just about no regulatory limits since 1982, when the SEC instituted Rule 10b-18 of the Securities Exchange Act. Under the rule, a corporation’s board of directors can authorize senior executives to repurchase as much as a sure greenback amount of stock over a specified or open-ended time frame, and the company must publicly announce the buyback program.

You typically bought the same cherry lip balm every time. It had spf 20, it was really cheap, made your lips super soft, and you liked the flavor. After a long night of studying at your university library, you went to reapply only to realize you had run out.
Ever since you moved in with your boyfriend, he’s taken to stealing all of your tubes of lip balm, making it so you needed to repurchase far more frequently than when you were single. You didn’t mind too much though- you loved him, and it helped that his lips weren’t super chapped all the time.
This particular night at the 24 hour drugstore by your shared apartment though, they were out of stock of your usual lip balm. Tired, and just wanting to be wrapped up in your partners arms, you begrudgingly bought another flavor from the same brand. You typically didn’t lean towards vanilla flavors- but you weren’t in the mood to be adventurous, and just wanted to soothe your chapped lips.
It had been a brutally cold winter, so after reapplying you made your way across the street back to your apartment. You sighed in relief after entering your building and made your way into your cozy shared space.
Hoshi, however, was not sleeping like you expected. Instead, he was on the couch playing animal crossing. He put the control down as soon as he heard you come in, rushing over to wrap you in a hug.
“How did the studying go?” He asked, his voice muffled as is his face was shoved in the crook of your neck.
“It was fine,” you couldn’t help but giggle as you squeezed him closer to you. Hoshi unwrapped himself enough to pop a small kiss onto your lips. He pulled back a frown on his eyebrows. “What?”
“It’s,” he pressed another kiss, “different. What is that?” He kept pecking your lips before he finally let you speak.
“They were out of the cherry chapstick,” you let out, and he immediately pressed his lips to yours again before pulling back.
“Vanilla?”
“Yeah?”
“I like it.”
You giggled then, leaning forward and pressing a small kiss on his own lips, “i like you.”

I was a bit surprised to see that mhj specifically said that newjeans had approved the statement saying that belift had copied newjeans' concept with illit. I'm not the type of person that thinks that you're a bitch for asserting position or your value, so this isn't where I'm coming from, but, especially in an industry where it's so rare to see groups say anything negative about other groups, particular junior groups I would think, it was quite the strong, swift position to take. Do you foresee newjeans continuing to engage publicly with this scandal, and how would you think taking an active part in this would affect their brand?
*
Ask 2:
bp in your opinion is there any chance that in this Hybe/MHJ situation there's a buried kind of double-blind motivation?
Like the kind i've seen attributed to E|on Musk, where he creates a big scandal to provide cover when he's doing something much shadier (and then maybe it gets out of hand, like the TwiX thing lol)
You've said you're pretty familar with the corporate side machinations - could Hybe be purposefully airing all this, sure to stick it to MHJ, but also to temporarily drive down stock prices for idk easy shares-repurchasing? Or even allowing a mess they can blame for having to report lower numbers to shareholders for whatever reason: boycott actually impacting profit, hedging against lower-than-predicted bts returning numbers, etc.
Or is this too convoluted of conspiracy thinking and BPD/HYBE/MHJ, and by extension from your recent posts basically 'corporate kpop' entire, are really just that transparent and petty?
*
Ask 3:
Might be a stupid question because I honestly don't have any clue about corporate businesses and how they work. But in the light of this scandal and how BigHit/Hybe developed over the last years: would you say this is what you get when you become too greedy instead of concentrating on what you were good at?
*
Ask 4:
in your opinion, is mhj truly an indispensable part of newjeans creative output? Also, do you see any way that hybe would let newjeans leave with its name and discography if they try to break their contract to go with mhj like some people are saying?
*
Ask 5:
I’m seeing a lot of discussion about whether newjeans will try to leave with mhj and break their contract with hybe, but I don’t see this as a realistic scenario, and I especially don’t see hybe letting them leave with their name and discography. You mentioned that there are a limited set of options now, but is this even one of them? In my mind, newjeans as a concept either stays at hybe, with or without mhj in whatever capacity, or can’t really exist legally
*
Ask 6:
Also this has given everyone (kpop stans, ARMYs, journalists) the go ahead to drag Newjeans in order to "defend" Illit, BTS, Riize, etc by throwing (again) dozens of plagiarism accusations and trying to discredit everything the group has done and achieved. And it was started by Hybe themselves... I have no words, bpp
***
I think these six asks capture most of the talking points in the asks I've received since yesterday, so I'll use these to answer your questions.
The sheer amount of spin happening in the media right now is ridiculous lmaoo. With the mention of BTS in the "escape files", ARMYs have predictably moved from shady bystanders to actively joining in the negative spin, spreading rumor articles and many are now attacking the girls themselves. But honestly, this is nothing less than what I expected. NewJeans is the most popular group in Korea, the 2nd most valuable IP only behind BTS, and Min Heejin is the brains behind the operation - an achievement she's insisted on taking full credit for since inception. Leaving the only option for whoever is masterminding this from within and outside HYBE, to destroy her reputation as an executive completely to diminish her value to outside investors, and weaken the fan support for NewJeans given how closely they are already associated with MHJ. And that's what is happening. It impacts every group at HYBE and nearly obliterates the viability of NewJeans.
For HYBE, it's a tolerable loss given there's only one year left before BTS returns and closes that earnings gap in mere months. Whoever took this action sees it simply as resulting in a numerical loss that can be soon corrected, but personally, I disagree, for the same reasons I objected to HYBE's acquisition of SM even though on paper it made numerical sense.
Anon in ask 1: I can understand your surprise but sad as it is to say, I expected that response from MHJ. She's a creative, not a PR exec or an MBA-credentialled suit. I'm not sure how familiar you are with ADOR's press releases in general, but anybody who reads them can tell there's almost no corporate doublespeak, no vague allusions, nothing that shows it's written by a typical media-trained PR person. Which is why most people, including you, take that statement to mean NewJeans agrees with MHJ that Illit copied them (it's a possibility), when in reality the language shows it could refer to them agreeing with MHJ's assertion that HYBE hasn't duly responded to her requests about inter-label discrimination, or other related matters. That's the kind of detail a trained PR person would be sure to include, to minimize the fallout to NJ, but just as with the press release on Cookie, the one on Minji's rival sasaeng, the response to Hyein's veneer rumours, and practically every press release ADOR has put out, the language is unsophisticated.
"Do you foresee newjeans continuing to engage publicly with this scandal, and how would you think taking an active part in this would affect their brand?"
NewJeans has so far not engaged publicly with this scandal. MHJ has mentioned them to signal any separation between them will likely be contested. It's leverage. If they do take an active part in this scandal, it will completely destroy their brand. Like, it's already on life support. Anything more and we might as well say their last rites.
*
Anon in ask 2: I'd say that's not a conspiracy exactly but it is kinda pushing it. Anytime there's a stock dip it's a buying opportunity, and HYBE is always guaranteed to be a Buy so long as BTS is slated to return within 12 months of the stock event. But we simply don't have any clear indications that's the case now given the timing doesn't quite line up. If anything, that is more like the 4th order side-effect.
And yeah, people on the corporate side, not just in k-pop, are many times just that petty. But it's also true this case has been sensationalized in particular ways to appeal to k-pop stans specifically.
*
Anons in ask 4 & 5: The options available are:
MHJ leaves HYBE and NewJeans stays in HYBE
MHJ leaves HYBE and NewJeans leaves with her
MHJ stays in HYBE but is demoted from her exec role and NewJeans stays in HYBE
MHJ stays in HYBE and keeps her exec role and NewJeans stays in HYBE
None of these options are good, but the worst of these evils is option 2. If the members attempt to leave with her, there's no pretty way to say this, but they'll be done. I'm not even going to waste time writing all the ways HYBE and k-pop stans as a whole will rip them to shreds, all I'll say is that whoever is attached to these girls should consider taking a 6 months sabbatical away from k-pop entirely once that news breaks. The law is not on their side and public opinion, especially after all the 'leaks' and spin from HYBE in the last 72 hours, certainly isn't on their side either. It would be career suicide.
"in your opinion, is mhj truly an indispensable part of newjeans creative output?"
Personally, I think yes. Every label at HYBE had similar initial monetary investment as NewJeans and ADOR had, and other groups from the Big 3 have had even bigger investments and resources at their disposal. There isn't a single group, both within HYBE and outside HYBE, that has yielded the same results as NewJeans in the same period of time. Illit comes close, but even with their achievements they haven't reached the same (positive) notoriety as NewJeans did at debut. All HYBE groups have access to HYBE's youtube channel, connections and resources, and yet the achievements of BOYNEXTDOOR, LE SSERAFIM, ENHYPEN, and even ILLIT, are nowhere near comparable to that of NewJeans. And I agree with MHJ that she's the primary reason why. Having access to resources is only one part of the equation. How you allocate those resources and what you do with it is far more important, and this is where MHJ and ADOR excels relative to other sub-labels.
NewJeans without MHJ will not be nearly as threatening to everyone else in k-pop, and I suspect this is one reason there have been calls for her to be removed from managing the group since their debut.
*
Anons in ask 3 & 6: Yeah there's a fair bit of greed on show here. Generally, for a lot of people in this industry, greed is good... unless the greedy person is a woman. Because the only thing more central to nasty corporate tussles like this, more than greed, is ego.
I'm not trying to play the gender card, but sometimes I do wonder why there are no articles like this about people like Jaden Jeong and Simon Jakob given the reputation those men have in corporate circles, where top officials (in this case, within HYBE) are saying they cannot possibly work with MHJ because she is "overly and excessively opinionated". I'm highlighting this article because despite the initial paragraphs of spin, that bit is the only thing consistent with MHJ's claim that this attack from HYBE started because she'd filed a whistleblowing report on toxic inter-label competition and followed up an email that said quote:
"..is this deliberate obtuseness and unapologetic behaviour consistent with HYBE's founding philosophy of rebelling against unfair practices in the entertainment industry?"
I mean... in corporate Korea, I can see how they were sick of her shit and it was only a matter of time before she got the boot.
The insidious thing about spin is that it mixes the truth with lies, making it easy for people to accept it wholly. It's entirely possible that MHJ wants more compensation, more autonomy and independence, feels that Belift and other companies borrowed her ideas without full credit, and that she was unsupported by HYBE HQ. It's entirely possible that she took actions such as monitoring fan feedback of the group(s) she suspects and filing a whistleblowing report to build a case - according to both MHJ and others at HYBE, these are complaints she's apparently had since last year, but none of those things would justify HYBE's response nor is it enough to turn people against her.
What I find particularly interesting about this case, is that everything that decisively incriminates her of the more sensational and sinister allegations, comes from the person of VP L or CEO A - a person who only joined ADOR in January 2024, shortly after which HYBE received their first tip-off that MHJ was planning to escape. It's VP L who titles documents with the equivalent of "TOP SECRET DO NOT TOUCH" on company computers... the same guy that's supposedly a double agent working in favour of MHJ and ADOR but is situated within ADOR, not HYBE, where simple logic shows he'd be most useful. Unless he's situated right where he's supposed to be.
Anyway...
HYBE has requested for a shareholder meeting on April 30th where they'll likely table the motion for MHJ to resign regardless of what's found in the audit. Far as I know, she's completed the audit questionnaire but not surrendered her laptop as HYBE has requested. Given the play is for HYBE to kick her out while continuing to manage NJ, I can see how she'd rather die than surrender her laptop and hand over her ideas (and potentially incriminating info) to HYBE on a silver platter for them to use in her wake.
Every way this shakes out is bad news for HYBE groups IMO. So long as NewJeans keeps quiet and sides with HYBE, they'll be somewhat okay. But regardless of the fallout from HYBE cannibalizing itself, all HYBE groups have no choice but to take it on the chin and bide their time until BTS comes back to capture the attention back to them.
I hope I answered all your questions. IMO there's really no point talking more about this until there's a firm conclusion.

Berkshire Hathaway Shareholder Letter 2022, Reactions
Every year I enjoy reading Warren Buffets' predictably charming annual Berkshire Hathaway Shareholder letter. I dare you to find another annual investor letter you can remotely describe as charming. Anyhow, this year's letter published February 23 was another winner. As a builder turned investor I can't look to a better influence on my decision making than Warren and his partner Charlie Munger. Their humility, their focus on long-term relationships, and their emphasis on pragmatism alongside an expectation of excellence are all values I hold dear and hope to instill into Saltwater and our businesses for years to come.
Here's what stood out to me.
Hammering home the basics
We’re reminded that these gents look at companies, not stocks… “Charlie and I are not stock-pickers; we are business-pickers.” Buying a stock is just a tiny fraction of the company you’re getting, evaluate it as such. So why buy stocks vs majority ownership? A question we ask ourselves at Saltwater often? There is but one critical difference for the critical eyed investor. The difference between public "stocks" and privately owned businesses based on Warren’s insights… “stocks often trade at truly foolish prices...while a controlled business gives no thought to selling at a panic-type valuation.” Good enough for me. We’ll be keeping our eyes open for foolish prices.
Shareholder financial education
Warren shares an anecdote about share repurchases and the misled villainization of them.
“The math isn’t complicated: When the share count goes down, your interest in our many businesses goes up. Every small bit helps if repurchases are made at value-accretive prices. Just as surely, when a company overpays for repurchases, the continuing shareholders lose. At such times, gains flow only to the selling shareholders and to the friendly, but expensive, investment banker who recommended the foolish purchases.
Gains from value-accretive repurchases, it should be emphasized, benefit all owners – in every respect. Imagine, if you will, three fully-informed shareholders of a local auto dealership, one of whom manages the business. Imagine, further, that one of the passive owners wishes to sell his interest back to the company at a price attractive to the two continuing shareholders. When completed, has this transaction harmed anyone? Is the manager somehow favored over the continuing passive owners? Has the public been hurt?”
We were able to execute a value-accretive share repurchase in a portfolio company this year and while it wasn’t a smooth process, it was a very good decision for all our shareholders. Thanks Warren.
Praise of his best companies
How many times have you heard Warren discuss Coke, Amex, and See’s Candies? Effectively every time he or Charlie open their mouths. Charlie’s personal fav is Costco based on my experience with him. This year Warren reminds us that in 1994, BRK completed a 7 year buying spree of over 400 million shares of Coke stock for a total of $1.3B. He reminds us the value of those dividends almost a billion, as well as stock price appreciation, that 400 million share position is worth >$25B today.
He doesn’t paint this investment as an obvious or easy one however. “The weeds wither away in significance as the flowers bloom… it takes just a few winner to work wonders.”
Endless love for his partner Charlie Munger
I love looking for how many times Warren uses the phrase, "Charlie and I...", this year it was 10. He's clearly smitten with his long-time friend and partner for good reason, but this was my favorite tidbit of Charlie appreciation...
"Find a very smart high-grade partner – preferably slightly older than you – and then listen very carefully to what he says."
He includes a response that Charlie will often use back to Warren when they are in decision-making mode.
“Warren, think more about it. You’re smart and I’m right.”
See what I mean… charming. Greater than the Coke investment, or the Costco investment, Warren's appreciation of Charlie's wisdom & friendship are what anchor his brilliance in my mind.
The elephant in the room… transition insights
With Charlie at 99 and Warren at 92, every communication is reasonably analyzed for hints around their transitions. I don’t believe there will be one until one or both pass. Sad, but likely true.
Charlie talks about Berkshire in the general sense a few times in this years letter where it feels like he’s writing rules to operate by for others versus telling the shareholder how “he” specifically will operate.
Our CEO will always be the Chief Risk Officer
At Berkshire, there will be no finish line.
Our CEOs will have a significant part of their net worth in Berkshire shares, bought with their own money.
I certainly hope there is an internal rule on the last point and it would be helpful to know what that $ amount is. While these aren’t all that telling as to the timing of a transition of either partners health condition it’s clear that Warren’s thinking is still spot on.
I hope you enjoy and absorb these letters as much as I do.

hii!! sorry if this is a weird question but- you used to sell 'a change of heart' on your site. do u know if it's terribly different quality-wise now that it's on inprnt?
(story u can skip if u want) years ago I was given ur print 'a change of heart' as a gift n almost immediately after my mother's husband piled a bunch of shit onto it. lmao. I've been trying to get the creases out to no avail n finally I'm thinking about repurchasing it but. it was a gift so beyond simply enjoying your art it's also sentimental to me...
I don't expect you to have an answer, but I thought I'd reach out just in case. ty for your time, even if u just read this and move on
Hi!! No worries at all, sorry i haven’t checked my asks in a long long time! Iirc i used to use just regular 110lb text matte or gloss digital stock from a poster printer during that time, and inprnt has a much higher quality print because they use matte non-acid archival quality paper for giclee printing which is used a lot in galleries and high quality art prints, hope that helps!

I am so so so sorry to message you here about this because it's not really your issue but I'm unfortunately lost. I recently ordered from your Etsy, but the tracking says it arrived on the 12th...it definitely did not :( I don't want to go through Etsy because it's not your fault USPS lost my envelope, but I wondered if you had any advice for pursuing finding out where it actually got sent? Especially since the wolf knight pin I got is now sold out, it seems. Once again, I'm asking nothing of you other than if you have any tips for people with lost stuff. I feel like when I call the post office I'm just gonna hear "well we delivered it, sorry." I didn't send a message through Etsy because idk if that would somehow get your shop in trouble or something, possibly I worry too much
I love your pins and probably 2/3s of my collection are yours and I have every intention of continuing to purchase. I even got a few gifts for people this time around. I'm just really down about not getting them so I'm reaching out partially to feel like I'm doing something about it. Sorry to bother you and if this is annoying, no obligation to respond. Hope you're having a lovely evening <3
Hi there, I'm sorry to hear your package got lost. As a pin collector myself I know how disappointing and frustrating that can be, even more so if the pin is no longer available. In the future please feel free to reach out on Etsy, it doesn't hurt my shop if you message with a question there. Tumblr and other social media sites aren't very reliable when it comes to delivering messages, I've lost asks in my inbox or had messages hidden on Instagram and Twitter. That's just a blanket notice for anyone who might come across this later :))
If your package was not delivered and was marked delivered, here are the steps I would take:
Wait 48 hours - you have already done this but for anyone else in the same predicament, sometimes USPS marks the package delivered when it's really "out for delivery." I've had this happen a few times and the packages show up within two days.
Submit a missing mail search request - this sends a message to your post office telling them the package is missing and asking them to search for it. I've done this request a few times and had luck getting one package located this way.
Open a case on Etsy - Etsy's Purchase Protection Program has a caveat that if the package is marked delivered but was lost, and shipping was purchased through Etsy, they may cover the refund and the shop does not have to. Here's a guide on how to open a case. There are some risks to a shop if they have too many open cases, BUT I'd rather you get your money back than pay for pins and get nothing! So please do open that case. When people message me inquiring about lost packages I usually tell them to open a case for it. If you want you can send me a courtesy message ahead of time as a heads up. Etsy may ask me to provide input on the case and usually I point to the tracking saying the package is delivered. It's not a big deal at all, so again, please open a case.
Sometimes people don't want their money back and just want a replacement sent instead. If it's a small order I will sometimes do this, but the buyer has to pay for shipping again. For larger orders, I prefer you get a refund and repurchase because it can be costly for me to replace big orders.
Ideally you get your money back from the Etsy case, and from there you can repurchase your items if available. In this case the item is sold out, but I have seconds-grade Wolf Knight pins still if you want one of those. If you have your heart set on a standards-grade pin, you can wait until my stockists have them in stock or pick one of the alternate colorways - they should be restocked at the end of this month.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I hope this helps, and I hope your package is located. Thank you for your patience and for supporting my small business :))

your sensitive yandere idea has me feeling so many things . my brain is doing the funny thinky rn. i love you <3
but imagine… unintentional exposure therapy session? theyre finally forced to go grocery shopping because they’ve spent days and days obsessing over you, trying to recreate the smell of you in their homes, too busy to take care of themselves and stock up on groceries.
so of course, where else to go but to your favorite grocery store?? (just the thought of being somewhere you frequent makes them shaky…) theyre in the instant food aisle (they don’t care much about nutrition or taste, just anything to keep them alive and thinking of you <3) when lets say, the instant noodles slip out of their hand and onto the floor. grumbling, they reach down to grab it when suddenly their senses are overcome by such an oh so familiar, lovely scent. you.
you pick up the item that the stranger had dropped. for whatever reason, they havent looked up from the group yet, despite standing up. it seems like theyre adamant on staring at the floor. it looks like theyre shaking?
“uh hello? i noticed you dropped this” you begin, a little unsure of this strange encounter. why arent they saying anything? you slowly offer the packet towards them, as if feeding a stray animal. they still dont accept. you continue, “uhhh. ill just leave this here. i really like this brand! good choice. uhm, have a nice day!” and thats all you say before you leave the aisle, undoubtedly weirded out by what just happened. you think you hear a small whimper in response as a thanks, but you couldnt be sure. oh well.
meanwhile, sensitive yandere is moments from breaking down. YOU were there to help them. YOU were so close to them. YOU left the instant noodle package back on the shelf for them to take again. YOU smelled so good… no amount of your perfume could ever replicate the exact way it sits on your skin… or your body.
its safe to say that theyll be saving that instant noodle package for their shrine dedicated to you at home, and will continue to repurchase it until theyre sick of the flavor. which theyll never be.
WAAAAAA YESS!!!!! you get it!!!!! and you worded this so well!!! :0
but i can already imagine the sensitive yandere spending a good few minutes staring at the instant food, panting, shaking, kneeling on the ground with their hands covering their bright red cheeks. some people consider stopping by to see if they need help but, well, it's late at night and everyone decides it's best not to question the obviously malnourished and slightly insane looking stranger who's just. staring. at the item.
next thing they know, they're buying up entire pallets of the stuff but they REFUSE to let the cashier touch the one you touched. it's yours after all... <3
the packet sits prettily next to their other stolen treasures and they have issues sleeping for days, their heart racing everytime they look over at it, every time they smell the food, every. single. minute. this must've been a sign, right? that you loved them? that you cared? you must have recognized them and oh god, your SMELL! one day, they'd finally be able to make a move on you and get to experience your presence for more than just a few seconds. GOD just the thought makes their heart burst!!!

Some researchers imagine that insider buying and selling provides managers a monetary incentive to innovate, seek for, and produce useful information, as properly as to take risks that enhance the firm’s worth (Carlton and Fischel 1983; Manne 1966). Researchers have also identified that compensation within the form of insider trading is “cheap” for long-term shareholders because it doesn't come from corporate income . Their opponents contend that insider trading has some downside incentives and is likely to reward mere entry to information somewhat than its production. "More than one hundred thousand workers employed at America’s railways do not currently receive paid sick days and face strict and punitive attendance policies that leave many with no weekends and little time off. At the Warren Buffett–owned BNSF, for example, workers are allotted a point balance that diminishes if they’re unavailable for work — even in cases of illness or emergency. Those who reach a balance of zero can incur a ten- or twenty-day suspension, with a subsequent zero balance resulting in termination.
These are degrading terms of work no reasonable person would accept as fair. As engineer Ross Grooters put it to Mother Jones in September, workers are essentially 'fighting for the basic right to be able to be people outside of the railroad.' Michael Baldwin, president of the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen — one of four unions that rejected the deal now likely to be imposed — explained that the problem has been long-standing but, for obvious reasons, has been of particular concern to workers over the past two years: 'This became a glaring issue during the pandemic when we had members who were forced by their employers, the railroads, to stay home and quarantine without pay. But really it comes down to simple things like the flu for a day or two, or a sick child, and the ability to take a day or two paid.' In a series of testimonials published by More Perfect Union, worker after worker said much the same.
A separate analysis by MPU also made clear that the dispute is in many ways a microcosm of the broader shift of power away from labor and toward capital that has increasingly defined the American economy in recent decades.
Financial filings of several major US rail companies reveal not only that the industry is incredibly profitable but also that profits have grown without a commensurate share of the gains going to workers. Since 2001, margins have almost tripled at major carriers, while the share of revenue going to labor has dropped by double digits. Twenty years ago, investors in major freight companies could expect $15 in profit for every $100 in revenue. Today, that figure is more than $41. Companies are also employing many fewer workers today, leaving those who are employed with longer hours and even less time off. Many are expected to be on call more or less around the clock and can be required to report for shifts of nearly eighty hours on only ninety minutes’ notice. Shareholders, meanwhile, have received bigger and bigger payouts.
As MPU’s Eric Gardner concluded, 'the data suggest that the money once spent on fully staffing locomotives is now spent on enriching shareholders through dividend payments and stock repurchases.'
