Subaru Crosstrek Boost Gear Concept, 2023. One of the prototype models that will be presented by Subaru at the Tokyo Auto Salon (on the left in the stand mock-up pic) in January. The timing cover was resealed on a Subaru Crosstrek last week.
Engine oil was leaking from the bottom right corner. We needed to take the timing cover apart and clean up the surfaces before resealing it.
If you notice oil drips on your driveway or garage floor, make sure to have it checked out. Bad oil filters, Valve cover gaskets that have become worn, and loose oil drain plugs are some causes of oil leaks.

So I'm starting to consider a new car for a few different reasons and a Subaru Crosstrek kind of hits all the marks I'm looking for for both safety and accessibility reasons but I would love opinions and suggestions if you for some reason dislike this car. I just want to keep my options somewhat open.

2024 Chevrolet Trax 2RS Review
Amazing! Chevy has a low-cost winner finally, the new Trax is waaaay better than its predecessor, and looks do matter!
New Trax surprises with looks, performance and value …
Sorry but my experience with low-end Chevrolet products has not been stellar the last 35 years, and to be honest, there simply haven’t been many entry-level Chevies of late.
With Chevy abandoning the car market (except Corvette) its entry-level offerings have been sparse and the previous Trax was, well, not great. I was ready to be…

We are suggesting that a coolant fluid exchange be performed on a Subaru Crosstrek. The vehicle last received this mileage-based service about 49,000 miles ago.
Coolant fluid flushes should be completed every 30,000 miles, depending on the car and the manufacturer’s recommendation.
Coolant fluid exchanges prevent the engine from overheating and corrosion from building up on various parts, such as the radiator and water pump.
