WHERE DO I BEGIN

Anyways- Silly mode activated

A lot under the cut, but it’s all Gus headcannons-

(I’m so sorry, Gus was all I could think about at the moment!! 🙇‍♀️)

- I’ve seen someone also say this and I NEED this to happen where he rocks back and forth in his feet, sometimes he goes on his tippy toes and just likes to fidget with his fingers a lot

- HE LOVES COLORS, yeah he mostly takes to brown (and….. red……❤️‍🩹) but, while he’s a gnome (a bit of backstory) gnomes always loved to spread color everywhere they went, figuratively with just how absolutely wonderful they were (they were literally the sweetest creatures in the forest, a bit mischievous but sweet) but also literally with just how much they loved using color on everything-

Because of this Gustavo still likes to use colors on stuff and LOVES to go to festivals with so much color (it reminds him of home…..)

- He had a sister!! (Little, 3 years younger)

- He had quite a strict mother but a very carefree father, I’d say Gus is like a mix of both parents, not to strict but not to carefree y’know?

- He HATES Pizzards…. (They scarred him so bad….)

- When he first came into town, god was he naive- poor thing kept getting scammed and it only stopped cause Peppino was with him to go shopping (it happened the first few weeks he was there for context-)

- I mean that when I said he was naive, again he really hadn’t been to anyways except the forest so he was WAY to nice to everyone, Peppino gave him some lessons on how things work- it was a whole month of teaching-

- He LOVES animals, he wanted to befriend Brick but. Brick attacked him right away, Gustavo kept shouting, and I quote: “PEPPINO HELP I’M BEING JUMPED- I’M BEING JUMPED!!!”

- Everyone in the tower (except Noisette) was skeptical of him, how he was “too nice” and frankly didn’t like him, (they also planned on jumping him) but after Peppino saved them they gave him a chance, now they love him 💕💕

- Gustavo learned that Peppino had a restaurant and felt it’d be an honor if he worked for him (Peppino didn’t have anyone at the time so he was thrilled he had Gus)

- For a short time Gus called Pep “Boss” because he heard everyone did that at work, but since Pep knew him he said it was okay to call him by his name ❤️

- And one more, he’s very talkative!! And in turn he’s a GREAT listener. He especially loves talking about friends and just in general animals. Baby loves it when you talk about friends since he absolutely awes all of his 💕💕

Okay, that’s it- Generally Gustavo was the first thing that popped in mind for headcannons since- I love him- and also cuz’ he’s the one I have THE MOST headcannons for, relating to his species (I have so much to list but I won’t list them now-), to his background, to his personality (which is my favorite-)

Kat, don't you know I would do anything to talk about random ideas that I've never managed to pull into Real Fic in the past *checks notes* three and a half years? This might be the only time some of these see the light of day, they could use a good airing!! So of course I'll look stuff up no matter how many days (or single half days) have passed lol and thank you for being curious :DD

And of course he does it's tradition bc he's born on Valentines :D And he'd fully lean into it too maybe when he was a kid he thought everyone giving each other gifts and love was simply what you were meant to DO on birthdays (and I think that suits the kind of generous and cheerful soul he grew into don't you??)

Being one of the earlier ones on the list, it's def more developed and was meant to be like, he has this tradition of making and decorating vanilla cookies to give out to people on his birthday (bc he used to do it with his mom T.T) but one day he gets called out on a rescue the day before his bday and it's all miserable and he has to cancel a bunch of stuff and he doesn't want to make a fuss but he's pretty miserable about it and about the rescue and Virgil gives him a change of clothes and says look go shower and pull yourself together, I can wait before taking off, and anyway he comes back from freshening up following said rescue and it's ticked over to his bday and by the time they get home it'll practically be over and he just wants to sleep and sitting on his chair in the cockpit is some cookies because Virgil saw some in a bakery and had gone off to purchase them so he'd know he hadn't been forgottten and bc Virgil knows what the tradition means to him <333

And yeah that's that one it's just meant to be super sweet <33

Hi! Can I ask you what resolution do you use for your drawings? I use the standard A4 pixels recommended by krita but my drawings look always low quality when I try to look at the details. Have a nice day!

I usually use the design templates (mostly A4) as point of departure as well, though double or triple it's size under "Scale to new size" or "Resize canvas" depending on whether I already sketched out my idea or not.

So what I most of the time end up using, is a canvas of 4960,00/7016,00 px (and a scale of 4960/7016 px) or my preferred size of 7440.00/10524.00 px (and a scale of 7441/10524 px) for extra nice clear lines ^-^b.

#Sometimes I forget to adjust the size/scale at the beginning of big or more important drawings and am like...'nuuhh not again!' #Then I usually proceed to cry and turn into a blubbering heap of misery cuz it's not possible for Krita to smooth out the lines afterwards. #Thanks for nothing inattentive brain... lmaoo #Anyway. 3. Who felt romantic feelings first?

Steve! Nicole and Steve go from study buddies to friends to friends with benefits before they enter a relationship. While Nicole had convinced herself that FWB was ideal, Steve was just falling hard for her 😭

6. What was their flirting stage like?

Even before they were officially together, in their friend and FWB stages, they were extremely flirty and touchy with each other. To the point where all their friends were like “why aren’t they together??”

2. Did they have an official first date? If so, what was it like?

They’ve had a lot of “friend hangouts” that many would consider dates, but their “official” first date doesn’t come until a while after what happens with Vecky, Eddie, Hawkins, etc. Steve wanted it to be different from their previous hangouts, as in purposely romantic. He plans a quiet night in + gets one of her favorite recipes from her stepdad, August, and does his best to make it.

4. Were they each other's first anything (kiss, relationship, etc.)?

Nicole wasn’t really Steve’s first anything (besides wife, eventually 😉). For Nicole, Steve was her first serious, long-term relationship.

1. Who said “I love you” first, and what was the situation?

I actually have a couple different scenarios, it could go either way for who confesses first. As of right now, the one that is tentatively “canon” in my mind, is Steve confessing to her in the woods on the way to fight Vecky at Creel house. It’s a “we may not survive this” situation and Steve is done with tiptoeing around the feelings he has for her. He’s pretty confident that Nicole also has feelings for him (he’d be right), but understands that she’s afraid of losing people... he just needs her to know. And it works because it gives Nicole the confidence to also confess, and is what solidifies them as being officially together afterwards!

11. What kind of nicknames do they call each other?

They don’t really use nicknames very much! Steve calls Nicole “Nic” or “babe”. Nicole also calls Steve “babe”. And “dummy” (affectionate), but only when they first started hanging out.

14. Who is more protective? Who would get in a fight to defend the other? Who tends to the other’s wounds?

Ooh they’re both very protective. Both would put themselves in harm’s way to protect the other. Steve would definitely be the one to get in a fight to defend Nicole, despite her trying to get him to cool it with that. She’s the one tending to his wounds after his injuries every year, she’d like to have to do it less often.
