It’s really interesting watching Murderbot shake some prejudices over time. Some are a bit more obvious, like humans and general and Miki re: “pet robots” (though it does keep using that phrase).
One that I noticed in Artificial Condition, though, was how it referred to ComfortUnits.
In All Systems Red, it uses the phrase “sexbot” like, what, once? Twice? I think it’s feasible that Wells hadn’t decided or committed to the concept of the ComfortUnits yet at that point. The term is bordering on derogatory, but that seems more due to SecUnit’s asexuality and sex aversion.
Then in Artificial Condition, we meet one - Murderbot meets one. And it uses ‘sexbot’ almost exclusively outside of the basic lowdown on ComfortUnits, at first. ART corrects it and it doesn’t care.
But then it goes down to find some truth, and that truth involves ComfortUnits doing a thing they were very much not designed for, to protect humans. While there are a lot of kill all human jokes in the series, it’s abundantly clear that SecUnit is focused on protecting its clients. It hates failure, sure, but it goes after non-contracted clients in books 2 and 3 to protect them, and not just out of pragmatism regarding its core challenge in the book. SecUnit hates it when its humans are hurt, threatened, and killed.
So when the ComfortUnits move to protect the humans, to stop the massacre, it’s not 100% clear what their motives are. But they’re smart, as smart as if not smarter than SecUnit. They knew they were probably going to die and they did it anyways.
It might not have been for SecUnit, but it benefitted SecUnit, and it makes SecUnit really think about them. In chapter 9, it stops using ‘sexbot’ entirely and refers to them exclusively as ComfortUnits. It’s never pointed out, but you can really see it re-evaluating its prejudices over the course of the story. It’s fascinating.

2, 15, 19, and 50 for Ismene, Katya, and Andrine!
OC Asks Game
Hi Ash, thanks for asking :D It will be fun to reply for the three ladies hehe
Btw this has Kingmaker spoilers on the Question 19 ⚠
2. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate or other?
Andrine: She has sweet tooth, but she isn't that picky. She would choose hot chocolate without hesitation, but she also appreciates sweetened tea and coffee (although Octavia has prohibited her to drink the last one, because she doesn't know when to stop it)
Ekaterina: She hadn't many options in Irrisen. When she has tried hot chocolate for first time, it was like a catharstic moment of her life. But she is very fond for herbal and spiced teas.
Ismene: She has two favorite beverages, in fact: coffee for the mornings (otherwise she will kill some Varnling member easier) and mead for the nights. Ismene has no aversion to teas, but their smell always reminds her of the moments when she gets sick.
15. What is the first thing people notice about them?
Andrine: She talks loud and fast. It's like a lean squirrel with white hair. Also her clothes are always showy, even the Storyteller knows it.
Ekaterina: Well, she glows. Either her skin or hair. And like it's not enough, Katya is tall. The poor woman just wanted to be invisible sometimes.
Ismene: If her clothes don't catch attention for being different from the Brevic/Mendevian fashion, Tilly does for both of them! You can't ignore an outlander woman passing by with a bear.
19. What does your character consider to be their lowest point?
Andrine: Sometimes, Andrine sees herself as a petty person. She could let Regongar kill Janush's assistant when they met for the first time, but she did it because she took personally the kidnap attempt that her party suffered earlier. And she have declined the Lanthern King friendship because she got tired of his bullshit as Nyrissa's as well, like she didn't make friends/allies with questionable fey before.
Ekaterina: Her lack of self-esteem. Katya won't complain about her doubts out loud, but down in her soul there is a still uneasiness about her valor. She can go as far as her legs can carry her, but in the end she always questions herself if she really did enough.
Ismene: Her short temper. It always gets the best of her. She can't bear listening to any kind of small talk and pretend that's ok. Her intuition is sharp, and Ismene is good at perceiving who's telling the truth or not. Thanks to the Gods, she learned to be slightly patience because of Varn.
50. How does your character sleep at night? Are they a heavy or light sleeper? Do they dream or have nightmares? Do they find it easy to sleep or are they more a night owl?
Andrine: When she's not struggling with insomnia due worries, Drine is a heavy sleeper. And she took a long time to be really awaken. Also her dreams are chaotic, mixing irl incidents with fictional ones. Sometimes she can't tell what was real or not.
Ekaterina: Since a very young age, Katya has problems with nightmares. This got less common while she grew up and learned how to keep her impulses 'on the leash', but some nights she can't rest properly, dreaming with wildfires and destruction caused by herself.
Ismene: Although she is a reasonable light sleeper, Ismene uses to get properly rest always, and it doesn't matter where she is laid. She has no big problems about sleeping outdoors, after all she is from a nomad tribe. And she almost never recalls her dreams.

Log one on this Pokemon. These lovely babies are Rawst (small head) and Pecha (large head), named after what I've clocked as their preference in food. I took this lovely duo in from @pokemonadoptionagency, and I'm quite fond of them already!
As the PAA stated, this poor Pokemon evolved too early, making it so that the heads consciousness didn't combine, and the third head didn't appear. I've found due to this that Rawst is pretty snappy, which I sort of understand (after all, her sister is much bigger than her now). The two have been mostly keeping to themselves since they arrived, and I'm not actually sure they know how to talk, as they haven't spoken to me and when I asked Suzie (my Wigglytuff) she said they hadn't talked to her either.
From what I've noticed, the two seem to use their wings as hands, which is quite interesting, and is a first in my experience with Hydreigons (though I've only ever raised a total of three including these darlings). I've also noticed that Rawst tends to take large bites and try to scarf down her food, while Pecha tends to take it slow and eat small bites. I'm not quite sure where this behavior comes from, but since it doesn't seem to be an issue yet, I see no reason to curb the behavior.
(And don't worry everyone, I'm not as close as it looks in this photo! I'm actually pretty far away, I just zoomed in the camera!)
I'll keep you all updated on them!

Thorin and Thranduil working out a new trade agreement with oc acting as a helper in the process. Oc pokes Thorin in the arm and the Elf King looks between them as Thorin sighs, “And oc gets to pet your elk and feed it an apple,” two more pokes are given to Thorin’s arm and he adds plainly, “On two occasions.”
Thranduil merely blinks and replies, “It will have to be oranges, he relishes a fresh orange, agreed.” Withholding his curiosity to oc’s smile to themselves at the odd term his elk would have allowed no matter what with his weakness for the brightly colored treat.
