Special Agent Tortoise (He/Him) and Vita (She/They) descriptions below:

First we have special Agent "Tortoise", real name classified but he is an individual from 13th century Scotland who ended up making some deals with rather...unsavoury individuals of both human and inhuman origin, most of which he was unable to repay, and thus they sealed him away in an amulet and made those he held dearest pay his debts. Since then he has been encased, mostly forgotten to time and forced to reflect on his former life. The amulet has the power of possesion, but only with dead bodies, and he now enters the 21st century in his 5th.

After a good few years of familiarising himself with the world, he was approached by the US government after gaining wind that he had claimed a host, wanting to utilise his many abilities for their own cause. After striking a deal, he agreed and has worked with them for many years, though it hasn't been pleasant or easy for either side. Now he has been placed on--as he puts it--baby sitting duty to keep a close eye on the President and act as a middle man between Cognito and the deeper side of the US Government. Tortoise knows Glenn and Orca, as he and Glenn served in the same regiment and then years later he would become Orca's mentor before she left to join Cognito. "Tortoise and Glenn do not get along" is an understatement, and often you have to yell at them both to put their guns down when an argument gets too heated.

Vita is part of a group of Eldritch beings who have come to Earth and intergrated themselves into society through the means of porclain bodies. These bodies are a mixture of puppetry and bisque dolls, moved around and maniulated freely by their true forms within. Sent here on a scouting mission, Vita found herself curious about humans more than intended, and enjoys her mission despite knowing the fact that they may one day have to leave Earth. Vita was approached by the Robes, with the promise of showing them "human life as intended", and present day remains an ally of theirs.

Presently, they are placed as a less obvious bodyguard for the president. Her duty to her fellow eldritch beings outweighs her alliance to Cognito, so taking on this relatively small task was of no hidnernace to her. They know Otto, much more than Otto would like to admit honestly. Vita knows Otto's father, a being who would very much like to know where his child has been for the past millenia. Other than Otto, Vita does not interact with anyone at Cognito much, much prefering to observe and ask questions when it suits them.

In regards to each other, Vita and Tortoise do butt head. Vita is one to ask many questions, and Tortoise is very secretitve due to feeling shameful about his muddy past. Though they do balance each other out, which is why they were made partners on this assignment, with Tortoise being the brains (used loosely he's not always a genius) and Vita being the brawn (she has a 50/50 success rate on actually catching the bad guy, struggles with noticing subtletises in human emotions).

Élodie is another inside job oc of mine but her ref isn't ready yet, so have these doodles of her as a kid!! And her cousin may seem to be a familiar face...because he is! It's the PRESIDENT, CALLING INSIDE JOB HQ PLEASE GIVE US MORE OF HIM IN PART 2...they're distant cousins, probably twice removed, but their family has these big get togethers to catch up with everyone. I have a wip of a comic of this first meeting right here for you guyss!

You can see tid bits of their eventual friendship/sibling vibe in my 2nd lil doodle page posted at the top, I really love them,, they don't see each other as much when they start getting into adulthood simply due to distance and having to get on with your own lives, but the time they spent together as kids is something they hold dearly in their hears. Also I am...thinking of a name for the president,, HE NEEDS A NAME FOR THIS COMIC OK...I'm thinking of naming him Paulie bc he looks like one,, giving me some Kevin vibes also. Paulie is the winner so far in my head but IDK!!!! I'll think over it some more.

As a treat, Élodie concept sketches from last month!! She worked as a bartender for the majority of her twenties and thirties, dating and then marrying a man who was a regular at the golf club she worked at and served a few times, JR Scheimpough. I'll be going more into their relationship in a different post 😈😈.

I will say here though that Élodie is UNAWARE of anything Cognito related, JR goes out of his way to make sure his dear Odie is oblivious to his job for her own safety.

Do NOT fight me on this, he uses his dynamic as a point of spite, he used Reagan as the test subject so he could make them both alphas and he failed and he passes the failure off like "it was my plan all along to make you adynamic because it won't distract you"

J.R.— see, ok, Rand's pre-experiment dynamic actually heavily depends on JR's. If one of them isn't an alpha, the other one is. But there's also something great in them both being the same dynamic hmmm..... The point is that JR and Rand are supposed to be foils for each other so the dynamics (and Rand's motivation for experimenting with dynamics) should play with that

Oh, yeah. Woman who had half the plant blocked on facebook and campaigned on being a rebellious victim fighting the Good Ol Boys of the union won the local president election.

Trial by fire time, bitch. Hope you don't fuck up too badly over the next couple years. She's been a convention delegate once [twice?], was a trustee for a while, and has taken a grievance handling class. Has never actually done any real grievance handling, has never done any bargaining, has never done literally anything that would give her a good foundation to actually take the job, and has spent the past 2 years burning all her bridges in the union and alienating former friends and supporters.

Icing on the cake? She filed an appeal first to the local, then to regional when the local shot her down, claiming the emergency election was done improperly. She filed the appeal before the election was even held because she assumed she wouldn't win.

So regional might agree with her and make us do this all over again.
