Junior's Eyes on the site of the Lancaster West Estate, we think it's Testerton Street, after the filming of 'Leo the Last' in 1969. Junior's Eyes were David Bowie's backing band. Albert Vickers recalls Bowie staying on Lancaster Road at this time. Junior's Eyes' drummer John Cambridge went on to Bowie's Hype group, Tim Renwick and John Honk Lodge formed Quiver, and Mick Wayne joined the Pink Fairies. They lived on St Helen's Gardens and Ladbroke Grove.

Alleged Windang terrorist initially wanted to target Wollongong, Supreme Court hears
ABC ILLAWARRA BY TIM FERNANDEZ
Tumblr media
A jury in the trial of Simon Fleming was shown footage of him walking down Windang Road. (Supplied)
A man accused of carrying out a terrorist act on New South Wales' south coast has told police his initial target was Wollongong. Simon Fleming is standing trial in the NSW Supreme Court after pleading not guilty to committing a terrorist act in the suburb of Windang on November 28, 2021
During his opening statement, crown prosecutor James Renwick told jurors Mr Fleming left his Windang home at about 9am.
The court heard the 41-year-old was clad in black clothing and carried two rifles and a silver brief case that resembled an improvised explosive device.
Mr Renwick said the accused fired multiple rounds into the air and at a car on Windang Road before taking two men hostage in a nearby dive shop. He then allegedly made demands from the police before surrendering himself to officers at 10:30am.
Body-worn camera footage of the arrest shown to the jury revealed police officers were concerned that Mr Fleming had a detonator on him.
In the video, Mr Fleming told Lake Illawarra Sergeant Nicholas Park the silver briefcase was a "fake bomb".
He then told the officers, "I was going to f***ing go into Wollongong to do it, but I couldn't". When asked, "Why Wollongong?", the accused responded that it was a "bigger city" and he "wanted the government of this country to stop f***ing with out people."
"We are under attack," Mr Fleming told the officer.
Manifesto tendered to court
Mr Renwick tendered to court a number of documents written by Mr Fleming before November 28.
It included Mr Fleming's alleged manifesto entitled, the fuse, a one-page document entitled, organisation (which detailed his plan for the attack), and a farewell letter to his family.

Mr Renwick said the documents revealed Mr Fleming's state of mind prior to the terrorist act.
"You will have some insight into his political and ideological views on the day in question," he said.
"They include, we say, the demise of Anglo-Saxon men in society and the demise of Christian values."
Mr Renwick said Mr Fleming was concerned with what he described as white genocide and disliked political correctness, feminism and cultural Marxism.
Mr Renwick told the jury they would not be judging Mr Fleming's political views, "views which may be considered anti-Islamic, transphobic or homophobic".
"But the accused is not being charged because of his political or ideological views," he said.
"What makes it criminal, is his acts or threats which involved violence and threatened violence, done with the intent of advancing his own political or ideological causes."
Nazi paraphernalia discovered
The court heard Mr Fleming collected Nazi and World War II memorabilia and held a keen interest in American politics. Jurors were shown photos of the inside of Mr Fleming's Windang residence taken during a search of the property where he lived with his parents and aunt. Photos from inside Mr Fleming's room showed a large Nazi flag hanging on the wall.
Two further Nazi flags and multiple Nazi outfits were discovered in a search of Mr Fleming's room as well as a number of World War II knives with Nazi insignia.
The trial continues before Justice Helen Wilson.

David Gilmour, Scott Page, and Tim Renwick with Roy Buchanan & Venetta Fields during a surprise gig at the Corner Hotel in Richmond, Melbourne during the Australian leg of Pink Floyd’s Momentary Lapse of Reason tour in 1988.
“...They came in via the back door and David Gilmour and his velvety voice walked up to the bar and asked if they could "jam". Not knowing who he was I outlined that our Monday night residency was hard to budge. I knew I knew him though didn't know how. He winked at me and said "we're quite good"... “

Held By Trees - Solace - it’s out now, the closest thing to a new Talk Talk album we’ll get now that Mark Hollis has passed on. And it’s gorgeous.
Held By Trees is a post-rock project from England, featuring the talents of Robbie McIntosh, Martin Ditcham, Simon Edwards, Eric Bibb, Tim Renwick and many more superb musicians. Inspired by Talk Talk/Mark Hollis, Pink Floyd and minimal/abstract neo-classical composures like Morton Feldman, Ryuichi Sakamoto and John Cage.

“Our first discreet overture to David Gilmour had come about when I spotted him in the audience at a Royal College of Art gig at the end of 1967. The RCA, next to the Albert Hall, was at the time the closest thing we had to a home venue following the demise of UFO. We had friends in a number of the departments at the college, which led to a certain amount of cross- pollination between poster design, sleeves, photographyand music, as well as the continual use of RCA facilities for extra-mural activities.
As David was not a student, I assumed he was there to check us out. During a break I sidled up to David and muttered something about the possibility of him joining us as an additional guitarist. This was not a unilateral recruiting drive on my part, just the first chance any of us had had to broach the subject with him. David was certainly interested, mainly, Iimagine, because although he thought of us - correctly- aslessexperienced than his previous band, Jokers Wild, we had acquired all the trappings that they had never been able to acquire: an agent, a record deal and a couple of hit records.
Jokers Wild had been one of the most highly rated bands in the Cambridge area. They were all seen as accomplished musicians. Willie Wilson, who replaced the original drummer Clive Welham, resurfaced with Tim Renwick in Sutherland Brothers and Quiver, and later formed part of the shadow band we used on the live shows of The Wall.
I now can't recall the first time I met David. We had certainly both played at the same venues, including at Libby January and her sister's party, and we had clearly encountered each other in some social settings, since I was able to pick him out in the crowd at the RCA.” - Nick Mason
