Concert in Celebration of the 77th Anniversary of the United Nations.
A symbol of hope for global unity, UN Day is an opportunity to reaffirm our common agenda, and the principles of the UN Charter that have guided us for the past 77 years. The concert will feature a global music programme, including a performance by classical pianist Jerome Lowenthal, to symbolize a call to strengthen international cooperation, for a more peaceful future for all. During the concert, remarks will be delivered by special guest Harvey Mason Jr., CEO of the Recording Academy.

It's international women's day. White feminists will speak about the hijab being "oppressive" but will not speak about the IOF abducting Palestinian women, stripping them of their hijab, and denying them the right to wear it.
It's international women's day. White feminists will tell you the importance of making period products free, but will remain silent when Palestinian women and little girls in Gaza have to use leftover fabric from tents because aid is blocked and they don't have pads.
It's international women's day. White feminists will gladly share fake accusations -which have been debunked- about mass rapes against Israeli women, but will completely ignore the sexual violence and rape threats Palestianian hostages have been and are subjected to in Israeli prisons.
It's international women's day. White feminists will scream about women's education and the Taliban -even though they only use it for their Islamophobic agendas, not out of concern- and they will remain silent when we say schools and universities in Gaza have been bombed, and there is an educational crisis.
Stop looking the other way. Stop being silent. Free Palestine.

The name "United Nations" was proposed by US President Franklin Delano Roosevelt to Winston Churchill in 1942. Churchill was staying in Washington DC at the time and was sitting in the bath when Roosevelt had someone push his wheelchair into the bathroom so he could tell Churchill his idea immediately.

Along streets lined with enthusiastic spectators more than 5,000 Canadian and United States soldiers marched Saturday as Kingston marked United Nations Day of Army Week. For the first time in this war, U.S. servicemen in uniform paraded with Dominion forces in the city.
At the top, the United States unit from the Fourth Armored Division, Pine Camp. N.Y., are shown as they marched past Lt.-Col. L. F. Grant, who took the salute following the Cricket Field ceremony.
On the right, Lt-Col. Grant is shown saluting as the Canadian and US troops filed past. Behind him in Lt. Col. M. Isbester, in uniform, and Mayor H. A. Stewart, who extended a greeting to the military visitors for their participation in Army Week.
Behind the U.S. unit at the top may be seen one of the armored vehicles which took part in a demonstration at the Cricket Field.
