First look at Ben and Larry’s We Are Not Alone, courtesy of Radio Times:

The first (above) features Stewart Baxter as hapless Clitheroe resident Declan, the aliens' human liaison. He works for Vicki Pepperdine's Trater, Mike Wozniak's Gordan and Thomas's Greggs, all of whom are sporting bright blue locks, pale skin and extra frown-y foreheads. A second picture was also released, this time featuring the Anti-Alien Alliance which Declan is secretly aiding. Among its ranks are Amanda Abbington's Greives, Bruce Mackinnon's Wade and Declan's crush Elodie, played by Georgia May Foote. Larry Rickard, who wrote the series and whose previous credits include British Horrible Histories, Yonderland and Ghosts, added: There's something fun in the fact our story starts where alien films normally end. Usually, aliens have tried to invade and we have found a way of fighting them off. But our story begins with, 'OK, they have won. None of our attempts to stop them in any way succeeded.' "The aliens are going, 'OK, we now run this place.' Rather than it being about Earth trying to fight off the aliens, this is about the aliens going, 'We are now in charge.' And it turns out that it's a nightmare."

The incredible tale about the fantastical evolution of Bella Baxter, a young woman brought back to life by the brilliant and unorthodox scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter.

Funny, absurdist variation of the Frankenstein story. It made me wonder to what degree Emma Stone was playing a version of herself.

I'm sure there's a reason for it, but I find Lanthimos' continued infatuation with using distorting wide-angle fish-eye lenses irritating. It always draws attention to itself. I also didn't like the artificial look of most of the computer-generated outdoor settings.

It makes me smile thinking that more than a decade ago Lanthimos was making pretty weird arthouse movies in Greece. And now he's doing it on a Hollywood scale. And audiences love it.

SAw the reboot of Bad Education (sitcom set in a school that used to star Jack Whitehall) - I quite liked it, in fact I’d say I actually preferred it to the original altho’ it was still a bit hit + miss. Loved Vicki Pepperdine as the head teacher plus Layton Williams/Charlie Wernham as the former pupils now returning as teachers. Will be interesting to see if it gets another series. (Oh + Bianca Del Rio made a cameo appearance in one episode)
