Have you ever thought about the backstory for Yen Sid in your Disneyverse?
Hi! Sorry this took 5 months! My life kinda fell apart and then came back together and I just realized this has been here since December. My sincere apologies!!
Ok!
Yen Sid Backstory
Tumblr media
I decided that I'd actually want Yen Sid to be the younger brother of Vár, the woman who would become Vor, the oldest Villian in the Everrealms. After she sells her soul to Chernabog and unleashes the dark forces upon the world, Yen dedicates himself to gaining enough power on the side of Light to defeat her.
He helps creates The Protectors, and it is ultimately thanks to him that they're able to trap her with the locket that held her for so many centuries.
Yen Sid went on to help establish or aid many bastions of Good to stave off the forces of Evil, (including the dark family his sister had spawned).
The Protectors, the Storykeepers, and many more have been touched in some way by his influence.
Eventually his reach went even beyond the world of the EverRealm into other worlds, which is how he became the mentor of Merlin, the magician Astoroth, the overeager apprentice Moustredamous and many more
He now resides in a tower that dwells in a liminal space between many different realms, acting as a spoke between worlds, such as the Everrealm, Our World, the equally liminal Mystic Isles, the Land of Dreams and many many more.
You can reach his tower realm through any world, if you know the way, and if he deems you worthy of entering. From here he watches over the Multiversex ever on guard against the forces of Evil.

If that dont spell out 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 then idk what else is 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂

Inspired by the Disney Princess villain song series by Lydia the Bard, here’s my idea for Princess Sofia’s own dark version of a Sofia the First song and the backstory and animatic script accompanying it. There are mentioned dead bodies and a little blood. I’ve really tried to keep her in-character, despite the very different circumstances and tone. She’s more of an anti-villain here.
I’d love to hear feedback on this and talk to other fans, of Sofia or Lydia.
I’ve written one for Princess Elena too!

So, near the end of the Sofia the First finale 'Forever Royal', Cedric conjures a cage to trap the traitorous Wormwood in (earlier in the episode, after Wormwood stole his wand after Vor invaded the castle, Cedric was shocked and furious to see Wormwood was now on this villainous usurper's side).
Their brief interaction near the end of the episode goes like this:
Wormwood: You spineless sorcerer!
Cedric: You worm! *utters spell to trap Wormwood*
Wormwood: ...
Cedric: Hmph!
I think it says a LOT that Cedric called him a worm. When Wormwood was with Cedric, Cedric had always affectionately referred to him by the nickname 'Wormy'. But now, he furiously calls him a worm. Not only a crude, harsh form of his name this time, but a declaration of what Wormwood really is- a treacherous, nasty worm.
Tumblr media
And you could tell by Jess Harnell's great voice-acting in that scene that Cedric was a combination of furious, hurt, and disgusted!
I wish this scene could be found on YouTube, but I haven't found it. And I'm not sure how to do clips myself.
(See this post for more thoughts)

you know the saddest thing about Sofia the first is that she got the rest of her childhood cheated out by the protectors at the age of 10 why would they do that by just heiring a child and the jobs mean you could die in it that just fucked up and like she is just doing their job when she just got hired because she literally outsmarted the villains and she is 10 and like isn't that child labour or something and she does so much for everyone and what does she get in the end a job that could kill her the adults couldn't do anything about vor and that she could have killed Sofia and the because she had to kill vor because she had to save everyone but they did nothing even though they are grown ass adults that did nothing but wait for a 10 year old to come back alive and not dead wtf was wrong with them
Yes! I don't know why the protectors even considered it, it borders on child abuse. Sure they aren't directly hurting her, but they're sending her into situations that could hurt her or worse, situations they can deal with themselves. Even if they couldn't, it isn't fair to make a literal ten-year-old, who already has a lot on her shoulders, do it for them. I doubt there isn't another strong, skilled adult who was willing to be a protector. I'd assume it was the magical equivalent of going into the army.
Even though she technically agreed to it, she isn't old enough to make that kind of decision yet, there's an age minimum for these things in real life for a reason. Agreed or not, Sofia will have a lot of issues to work on when she's older, even if she never became a protector, she still went through so much she shouldn't have to.
Also why are we trusting a literal pre-teen to protect an entire realm?

Rumplestiltskin Family Tree + Enchanted/Snow White stuff
So, this background stuff is pretty darn dark, like, lots of implied pretty bad stuff, though it doesn't go into detail, but hey it's the kinda Big Bad Background Villain family of my DisneyVerse so that's to be expected.
So the being this dark family starts out with is Chernabog, lord of all darkness and evil within the DisneyVerse. In the pre-historic times of the EverRealm he takes as his first mortal disciple the human woman Var, who eventually becomes the demon sorceress Vor of Sofia the First infamy.
They have a demon son called Voland, who takes to wandering the world in the guise of a soldier, oft accompanied by three massive hell-hounds, causing terror and strife wherever he goes. And at one point in his wanderings he decides it's time he take a wife. With his familiars help, he nightly steals away the Princess Achlys, heir to a great empire of the EverRealm. When this affront is discovered, Voland is captured by the Emperor's forces, but they prove no match for his powers nor hell-hound familiars. And in one day, the Empire is laid to utter ruin..
Tumblr media
Achlys later gives birth to her own son, Rumplestiltskin, but by this time she has learned enough magic of her own in secret to manage to escape her binding to Voland, and in her last act of vengance before fleeing she curses the child to never be able to hid his demonic heritage behind a charming face as Voland once had, and so Rumplestiltskin is forced to bear his green and scaly visage for all time.
(Achlys goes on to become the Dark Enchantress who causes trouble later for Belle and Adam)
Despite his unseemly looks Rumplestiltskin tries over the years to gain a wife of his own (often to the refusing lady's detriment, such as the case of the poor Princess Toute-Belle and her lover the King of the Gold Mines) Eventually he decides to take a page out of his father's book and just steal one away, and so the unfortunate Camilla finds herself trapped in Rumplestiltskin's subterranean lair.
Tumblr media
She too eventually gives birth to a son, (which Rumplestiltskin names Baelfire, a suitable name for the demon prince he's meant to become ) But Camilla too manages to escape her captor.
But unlike her predecessor she takes her son with her as she flees, boarding a ship meant to take them far from Rumplestiltskin's power. For a time she is able to enjoy her freedom and even finds love with the ships captain (who isn't Hook he's not even born yet in the DisneyVerse timeline), but Rumplestiltskin eventually tracks her down and has his revenge.
Her child, however, is smuggled away in time and grows up in the forests of Andalasia, under the name Niall and with no knowledge of his dark heritage. Eventually, he meets the young Princess Amelia, daughter of Snow White and Florian. They fall in love and eventually marry and have a child, a young son named Heinrich.
Tumblr media
The family is happy together for a time, until Amelia's older brother Argent decides to remarry after the sudden death of his wife Queen Rosamund, choosing as his new wife his court sorceress, the Lady Narissa.
Amelia and Niall soon discover that Narissa had been behind the death of Queen Rosamund, and try to reveal her dark nature but she struck back at them before they could.
Queen Snow-White and King Florian were told that their daughter's family had all died in an attack from a vicious dragon, but in reality only Niall had perished. Young Heinrich had managed to escape into the magical wishing well that formed a portal to Our World.
There, he was eventually found by his great aunt Eva, who had gone to explore Our World years back. He told her what had happened in Andalasia and how Narissa had taken the throne. They attempt to go back but find that Narissa has sealed the portal against them by then.
Amelia meanwhile had been tranformed into a swan, as part of a protective spell that had been placed upon her by her aunt, meant to give her the means to escape her enemies and keep under cover. But the clash of magic between the protection spell, Narissa's magic and the enchanted well causes her to be trapped in Swan form and bound to the water of the castle.
For years she watches over her nephew Edward, trying her best to find a way to contact anyone who might be able to help her break the spell and overthrow Narissa. Thankfully Narissa had to unlock the portal to push Edward's former fiance Giselle into it, and had not been able to relock it (it was a time consuming spell) before she was defeated forever. This allowed Eva and Heinrich to finally return to Andalasia (after living for several years in a town Eva had founded, which she left in the hands of a woman named Malvina Monroe when they left) and break the spell that had trapped Amelia for so many years.
The family that had survived was at last reunited. Snow White and Florian, Eva and Amelia, Heinrich and Edward, as well as Edward's new wife Nancy.
They mourned their lost years and lost loved ones, but at last were able to find a happily ever after for the years they had left together.

What if the Mystic Isles is just a metaphor for heaven…and the Windwalkers/Protectors being angels…it makes sense cuz like..humans…with wings…and no im not saying this cuz I binged hazbin for the second time. And technically we already know hell exists in the world of Sofia the First (evidence being the “Nether World” mentioned in an episode, and Imps being a thing. And Vor being the literal embodiment of evil..which is closely similar to…THE DEVIL…😦😦😦)

Thinking about how most of the problems in the STF episodes could have been easily fixed by Cedric's spells
Thinking about how Cedric's spells can literally turn rocks into rubies and simply make food appear out of thin air, so there should be no poverty or hunger if they gave wealth and food to the poor
Thinking about how the servants are unnecessary because Cedric's spells can make food (enchanted feast episode), dissapear and reappear anywhere he wants which means he can teleport because he was alive in the rest of the movie which can maybe mean that he can teleport people since he did it with objects and also himself (once upon a princess), make houses appear even tho he made a gingebread house (king for a day), GOD I JUST REMEMBERED IT, USE STONES TO CREATE HOUSES IN MERE SECONDS (cedric be good), duplicate stuff which means he can duplicate blankets and clothes for the poor (sofia the second), make vegetables grow faster (that episode when the royal family turns into bakers i unfortunately forgor the name of it but his spell was mentioned at the start of the episode)
Thinking about the fact that if Roland focused on hiring sorcerers instead of servants his kingdom and castle would be even better and more organized
Dust? Making dust dissapear spell idc if it's not canon. Cleaning? They can use a cleaning spell OR they can enchant the brooms and soaps to clean alone which is not uncommon in disney films. Guards? The castle will be full of trained sorcerers, which living being with consciousness would have the courage to invade a place like this??!?? Also they could create a magic barrier around the castle, I also don't care if it's not canon it just makes sense. Dress the children? Spell to create outfits bibidi bobidi boo or even the living clothes that can fit the body by themselves
"You can't fix everything with magic"
Yes. yes you can. most of it
I'm dead serious
You know that theory about Cedric being the first's storyteller grand grand grand son? And The first storyteller was one of the first Enchancian sorcerers? He made a secret library for himself. Ok, Cedric made a stone house and also a gingebread house but why can't he make a castle for himself
"He can't do it because it's a very complicated spell"
Why instead of wasting his time grumbling about not being king he can't just spend this time searching for a kind of architecture spell or something
He can make his king outfit- bibidi bobbidi boo (and HE DID MADE HIS KING OUTFIT IN THE SHOW)
Vor hypnotized them with a spell, why didn't cedric considered hypnotizing the royal family and locked them somewhere while he took over the kingdom?
He literally choose to froze them instead, make it make sense
I just remembered he simply redecorated the throne room in the day of the sorcerers episode
HE CAN MAKE A CASTLE IF HE WANTED TO

During the first fight when Vor was taking over Sofia said "I don't need help" and when you think about it she hasn't been given much help by her teachers, colleagues, or the other adults. They just say it's your job, this is your duty, or other things like that.
Sofia growing up has already had a lot of responsibilities. Like helping her mother and taking care of herself, I have the belief she was doing this even before her father disappeared because he IS a sailor and her mother owns a shop as a cobbler. No matter how naturally gifted she is she has the belief she has to do these things alone.
Sofia hasn't gotten much help aside from Aunt Tilly who was the former storekeeper, Cedric who lied to her, Amber who stole her amulet, and James who snuck into her trunk to go on her mission.
She hasn't even told anyone about her powers aside from the ones who already knew and James and Amber who found out on her own.
I'll say it again someone give this child a hug and therapy
Edit: Sofia even said "Even if I'm the one who takes the fall" which - while it could imply anything - is more likely to imply that she wouldn't care if she got heavily injured or even killed knowing that going against Vor alone is practically sui*cide from the information we got from Orion and the other protectors. So long as her family and kingdom was safe.
I'll say it again. Sofia Did Not care that she could have DIED so long as the people she cared about was safe.
SOFIA DID NOT CARE IF SHE HAD DIED.
Get this child therapy.
