Underground Water Sump Tank Installation | Leenus India
/ Uncategorized / By leenus
Tumblr media
Installing an underground water sump tank is a smart solution for efficiently managing water resources, especially in areas prone to water scarcity or where space is limited. This comprehensive guide outlines the steps and considerations involved in the installation process
SITE SELECTION
Before starting the installation, carefully select the site for the underground water sump tank. Factors such as proximity to water sources, drainage, and accessibility for maintenance should be taken into account
Ensure that the chosen location is free from any underground utilities like gas lines or electrical cables
EXCAVATION
Excavate the area according to the required dimensions of the sump tank. The depth of excavation will depend on the size of the tank and local regulations
It’s essential to create a stable base and walls to prevent collapse during and after installation
TANK PLACEMENT
Lower the tank carefully into the excavated area using appropriate machinery or manual labor. Ensure proper alignment and levelness
Double-check the dimensions and orientation of the tank to avoid any complications later on
BACKFILLING
Once the tank is in place, backfill the surrounding area with suitable material, such as sand or gravel, ensuring proper compaction at each layer
Take precautions to avoid damaging the tank during the backfilling process
INLET AND OUTLET CONNECTIONS
Install inlet and outlet pipes according to the tank’s design and local plumbing codes
Use high-quality pipes and fittings to ensure durability and prevent leaks
VENTILATION
Proper ventilation is crucial to prevent the buildup of gases inside the tank. Install ventilation pipes or vents as per the manufacturer’s recommendations
LID INSTALLATION
Install a secure lid or cover over the tank opening to prevent contamination and ensure safety
Choose a lid that is strong, durable, and resistant to environmental factors
TESTING AND INSPECTION
Before putting the sump tank into operation, conduct thorough testing and inspection to check for any leaks, structural integrity, and proper functionality of inlet and outlet systems
Address any issues or concerns identified during the testing phase
MAINTENANCE
Regular maintenance is essential to ensure the efficient operation and longevity of the underground water sump tank
Inspect the tank periodically for signs of damage, sediment build-up, or other issues, and address them promptly
Keep the area around the tank clear of debris and vegetation to prevent obstruction and ensure accessibility for maintenance tasks

How to Choose the Right Cold Storage Supplier in UAE for Your Business.
When it comes to cold storage, finding the right supplier to meet your needs is essential. Although this may seem overwhelming, with the right advice, it may be simpler than you think. When selecting a cold storage supplier in the UAE, bear the following in mind:
1. What aspects should be considered when selecting a UAE cold storage supplier?
When searching for a cold storage supplier in the UAE, you should consider a few things. The supplier's size comes first. Whether you need a small or large storage facility, you should ensure the provider can accommodate your requirements.
Secondly, you must consider the location of the supplier. The supplier must be close to your business, so you can easily access your products.
Thirdly, you should look at the pricing of the supplier. Ensure the prices are competitive and you get the best deal possible.
Finally, you should consider the supplier's service quality. Verify the reputation and dependability of the supplier.
2. What are the different cold storage facilities available in UAE?
A few different types of cold storage facilities are available in UAE like cold storage installation, cold storage construction services, ac servicing sharjah and much more. The most common type is the refrigerated warehouse, which stores perishable items. Refrigerated warehouses are typically large buildings with many cooling units to keep the temperature below freezing. Some warehouses also have a blast freezer, which is used to freeze food items.
Another type of cold storage facility is the cold room. A cold room is a small, insulated room that is used to store food items that need to be kept out. For example, in restaurants and cafes, cold rooms are often used to store items such as milk, cheese, and meat.
The third type of cold storage facility is the cold chain. A cold chain is a series of refrigerated vehicles and warehouses that are used to store and transport food items. The cold chain keeps food items cold from when they are harvested until sold in a grocery store.
3. What are the benefits of using a cold storage supplier in the UAE for your business?

Low-Maintenance Gardening
There are so many reasons to choose a low-maintenance garden. Gardening should be a peaceful and fulfilling hobby, not something that adds stress or causes pain. A beautiful, bountiful, low-maintenance harvest is possible!
Annual Crops for the Low-Maintenance Garden
These set it and forget it crops have a long season, don't need a lot of babying, and usually get harvested all at once. Many of these can also be grown in raised beds, and some in containers (potatoes grow great in a 5 gallon bucket!!) if that's best for you.
Ideal Annual Crops: These can all go into cold storage for up to 8 months.
Garlic
Onions
Potatoes
Sweet Potatoes
Winter Squash
Beans
Pretty Good Annual Crops: These need some attention after harvesting for them to last as long as possible.
Broccoli
Brussels Sprouts
Cabbage ^^^Refrigerate these 3
Watermelon (Go into cold storage whole and last 2-3 weeks)
Tomatoes (You can grow determinate tomato varieties for a bumper crop that's harvested all at once. Sit tomatoes at room temperature 2-3 days and then process. Freeze, can, make sauce with them, etc.)
Herbs for the Low-Maintenance Garden
Herbs are the ultimate low-maintenance crop. So many options and they don't mind being ignored and can easily be grown in containers.
Ideal Herbs: These herbs are perennials and come back every year with just a little work on your part. All you need to do is prune them down to 5 inches once in the late spring and once around August to keep them growing indefinitely!
Chives
Oregano
Thyme
Rosemary (If you live in hardiness zones 7-10)
Pretty Good Herbs: These are annual herbs so you'll have to plant them each year. Both of these are also favorites of pollinators and beneficial insects!
Basil (put basil sprigs in a glass of water in the kitchen, change the water every few days, and after a while they should root for easy planting)
Cilantro
Fruits for the Low-Maintenance Garden
If you have the space and means to grow fruit trees or shrubs, they're an excellent low-maintenance choice. They bear a crop year after year with a little pruning (prune once or twice a year) and adding some compost or organic matter (once a year).
Ideal Fruits: These have a long storage life and require little processing after harvesting.
Apples
Citrus Fruits
Grapes
Pears
Pretty Good Fruits: These have much shorter storage life.
Berries (Grow a ton of fruit without much coaxing, but highly perishable so need to be eaten or frozen/processed after harvest)
Pawpaws (If you live in hardiness zones 5-9)
Plums
Some Tips for Low-Maintenance Gardening
Spend 15 minutes a day in the garden, whenever possible. This daily visit doesn't have to be spent working, especially if you're lacking energy, time, spoons, etc. It can be spent observing, enjoying, and just being in the garden, which is just as important as the doing!! Notice the changes as the days, weeks, and seasons change. Enjoy the plants, insects, birds, and other critters you've invited into your garden.
Mulch like a motherfucker. After planting, mulch that garden! A good mulching keeps weeds at bay, making less work for you.
Stagger harvest windows. Plan your planting times so you only have one or a few crops coming to harvest at the same time. This also allows for full appreciation and enjoyment of each crop, hopefully without burnout or overwhelm!
Put it on the calendar. Write down planting, harvesting, and pruning windows for each crop.
Most importantly, BE GENTLE WITH YOURSELF. Gardening, even a low-maintenance garden, is hard! You will lose plants. You will lose crops. You will make mistakes and have failures. You weren't able to get to the garden and all your sprouts died? That's totally okay and you can always start them again! You weren't able to harvest in time and the birds got all your berries? You're welcome, birds! Do your best, do what you're able, and you're doing amazing!!💖

Watcher's Expenses
I didn't major in accounting: I took three classes and it grinded my brain to a fine powder. However, after graduating with a business admin degree, being a former eager fan of their videos, and from a cursory glance over their socials, there's a lot to consider in their spending behavior that really could start racking up costs. Some of these things we've already noticed, but there are other things I'd like to highlight, and I'll try to break it down into the different categories of accounting expenses (if I get something wrong, let me know. I was more concentrated in marketing 🤷‍♀️). I'm not going to hypothesize numbers either, as that would take out more time than I'm willing to afford-- you can assume how much everything costs. Anyways, here's my attempt at being a layman forensic accountant:
Note: All of this is assuming they're operating above board and not engaging in any illegal practices such as money laundering, tax evasion, not paying rent, etc.
Operating Expenses
Payroll: 25+ staff salaries and insurance
Overhead Expenses
CEO/founder salaries
Office space leasing or rent (In L.A, one of the most expensive cities in the US)
Utilities (water, electricity, heating, sanitation, etc.)
Insurance
Advertising Costs
Telephone & Internet service
Cloud Storage or mainframe
Office equipment (furniture, computers, printers, etc.)
Office supplies (paper, pens, printer ink, etc.)
Marketing costs (Social media marketing on Instagram, Youtube, SEO for search engines, Twitter, etc. Designing merchandise and posters, art, etc. )
Human Resources (not sure how equipped they are)
Accounting fees
Property taxes
Legal fees
Licensing fees
Website maintenance (For Watchertv.com, Watcherstuff.com, & Watcherentertainment.com)
Expenses regarding merchandising (whoever they contract or outsource for that)
Inventory costs
Potentially maintenance of company vehicles
Subsequent gas mileage for road trips
Depreciation (pertains to tangible assets like buildings and equipment)
Amortization (intangible assets such as patents and trademarks)
Overhead Travel and Entertainment Costs (I think one of the biggest culprits, evident in their videos and posts)
The travel expenses (flights, train trips, rental cars, etc. For main team and scouts)
Hotel expenses for 7-8 people at least, or potentially more
Breakfasts, lunches and dinners with the crew (whether that's fully on their dime or not, I don't know; Ryan stated they like to cover that for the most part)
Recreational activities (vacation destinations, amusement parks, sporting activities etc.)
The location fees
Extraneous Overhead costs (not sure exactly where these fall under, but another culprit, evident in videos and posts)
Paying for guest appearances
Expensive filming & recording equipment (Cameras, sound equipment, editing software subscriptions, etc.)
The overelaborate sets for Ghost files, Mystery Files, Puppet History, Podcasts etc. (Set dressing: Vintage memorabilia, antiquated tech, vintage furniture, props, etc.)
Kitchen & Cooking supplies/equipment
Office food supply; expensive food and drink purchases for videos
Novelty items or miscellaneous purchases (ex. Ghost hunting equipment, outfits, toys, etc.)
Non-Operating Expenses
These are those expenses that cannot be linked back to operating revenue. One of the most common examples of non-operating expenses is interest expense. This is because while interest is the cost of borrowing money from a creditor or a bank, they are not generating any operating income. This makes interest payments a part of non-operating expenses.
Financial Expenses
Potential loan payments, borrowing from creditors or lenders, bank loans, etc.
Variable Expenses
Hiring a large amount of freelancers, overtime expenditure, commissions, etc.
PR consultations (Not sure if they had this before the scandal)
Extraordinary Expenses
Expenses incurred outside your company’s regular business activities and during a large one-time event or transactions. For example, selling land, disposal of a significant asset, laying off of your employees, unexpected machine repairing or replacement, etc.
Accrued Expenses
When your business has incurred an expense but not yet paid for it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(If there's anything else I'm missing, please feel free to add or correct things)
To a novice or a young entrepreneur, this can be very intimidating if you don't have the education or the support to manage it properly. I know it intimidates the hell out of me and I'm still having to fill in the gaps (again, if I've mislabeled or gotten anything wrong here, please let me know). For the artistic or creative entrepreneur, it can be even harder to reconcile the extent of your creative passions with your ability to operate and scale your business at a sustainable rate. That can lead to irresponsible, selfish, and impulsive decisions that could irreparably harm your brand, which is a whole other beast of its own.
My guess at this point is that their overhead and operation expenses are woefully mismanaged; they've made way too many extraneous purchases, and that they had too much confidence in their audience of formerly 2.93 million to make up for the expenses they failed to cover.
It almost seems as if their internal logic was, "If we make more money, we can keep living the expensive lifestyle that we want and make whatever we want without anyone telling us we can't, and we want to do it NOW, sooner rather than later because we don't want wait and compromise our vision." But as you can see, the reality of fulfilling those ambitions is already compromised by the responsibility of running a business.
And I wrote this in another post here, but I'll state it again: Running a business means you need to be educated on how a business can successfully and efficiently operate. Accounting, marketing, social media marketing, public relations, production, etc; these resources and internet of things is available and at your disposal. If they had invested more time in educating themselves on those aspects and not made this decision based on artistic passion (and/or greed), they would have not gotten the response they got.
Being a graphic designer, I know the creative/passionate side of things but I also got a degree/got educated in business because I wanted to understand how to start a company and run it successfully. If they’re having trouble handling the responsibility of doing that, managing production costs, managing overhead expenses, and especially with compensating their 25+ employees, then they should hire professionals that are sympathetic to their creative interests, but have the education and experience to reign in bad decisions like these.
Anyways, thanks for coming to my TedTalk. What a shitshow this has been.

You knew it was coming
taskforce 141 and the midwestern gen-z reader(platonic)(of course) inspired by @meatonfork for the grim au. @thesharktanksdriver for the shark au I am a sucker for young and genz reader being an absolute menace
The team didn't properly meet you till a few days after the storm incident. Apparently walking into a communal space looking like you just fought the sky and grinning like a maniac leaves an impression.
Gaz was the first to approach you. Wondering why you looked like a drowned rat met a tazer.
You looked at the man for a moment as you munched on a granola bar. "Oooh! you mean the storm." "Yeah. Why were you out there by the way?" "Not much to do where I'm from so storm watchin' is a very fun pass time." "That was storm watching! you looked like you were in the middle of the storm!" "Relax, it was a baby storm. Hardly any damage."
Gaz tended to stick around you after that. Come to realize you're not much of a thrill seeker but your sense of what's a good past time and what is borderline dangerous are a whole lotta skewed.
you were on leave somewhere in south Cymru. News said there was going to be a storm rolling in off the sea. You went to find Gaz immediately.
His first experience storm watching was a chaotic event. Rolling waves and sheer winds. There really wasn't rain so much as a relentless force of water pushing down on you two. You were both drowned rats that day. Price was disappointed but Gaz couldn't fight his adrenaline fueled grin.
After that, you became fast friends and you started to show through on your brand of humor. Genz and midwestern humor creates a very dark sense of humor.
"Hey storm! Come see what we dug up in storage!" "If it's my hope and dreams, please rebury them. I abandoned those long ago."
Your not really good with communication on things but man, do you spam the man with memes and videos daily. Or just little pictures of cool shit you found while wandering around.
Soap leaned over Gaz's shoulder. "What's got you laughing so hard?" Gaz tilts his phone around. It's a short video. of someone zooming in a rock with long boop sound effect. There's a a stick bug on the rock. Just rockin'. Your voice comes through in a bare whisper "Get stick bugged, motherfucker."
Ghost didn't approach you so much as he caught you.
It was a dare. Sneak up on the legendary ghost and surprise attack him from behind. Nothing dangerous of course. Just a quick yank back and arm around the collar.
You got fucking thrown. It was amazing.
It was no longer a dare. It was now a past time. He once asked why you were doing this?
"Why?" The man stared you down as you stared up at him from the floor. "Why what?" *Why do you keep attacking me?" "Cause it's fun? and you haven't told me stop?" "Getting thrown usually puts a stop to it."
After that it became a game of hunt between you two. Of course there were rules or at least guidelines to it. no barracks, no showers, not during missions.
He found out about the knife collection first. One of his combat knives was missing and one the recruits pointed him in your direction.
He was a little surprised when you just whipped out the bag and opened it. His knife was right there on top along with about 30-50 other knives in the bag. The knife had been freshly sharpened and any mechanism for opening it cleaned and oiled.
when asked, you said an unattended knife still deserves some up keep
He just starts handing you knives when he comes back. sometimes it's cause he's too tired to do the maintenance himself. other times cause you looked like you need a distraction.
Probably the only one to really pick up on your cues. Not that the others are bad at it per say just they tend to catch it a little late. And due to the game of hunt you two keep playing with surprise attacking each other well cant blame him. A lot of your cues are non-verbal
Soap met you when you got caught swiping from price's stash of booze. By him who was setting up a prank that would involve Price's stash of booze.
No sir I don't know why all your booze tastes like apple juice.
You're like 5'3" to his 6'2". so he just kind of leans on you when ever he gets a chance.
At first you're uncomfortable with it but eventually it becomes a sort of reassurance.
He notices but doesn't comment when you start seeking more physical contact.
You have a weird little greeting if it's an off day or you're just feeling heavily nonverbal. You just thunk your head on his arm or back and rest for a second before moving on
You get so pissed one time and out just spills a whole entire tumble of curses. At first in Spanish, a few Ukrainian phrases, a whole litany of German and finally several very specific Gaelic and Scots phrases.
He asks about it later.
"Hey what was that earlier when you were mad?" "Oh! just things I picked up along the way."
He starts speaking Gaelic more often just to see what you pick up. Sometimes you ask what the words mean and slowly repeat them. other times you just go parrot mode and repeat back to him.
Language lessons over the coms are a thing.
He's the first person and nearly the only person you will hug routinely. he was the first one to show you that seeking physical contact to ground yourself was okay, after all.
Price knows your past. Especially that shit that you have been involved in when dealing with the more well strange side of humanity. It's why he asked for you in the first place.
Him and ghost probably notice the fact that you are incredibly calm in situations that would send most absolutely running off.
"Hey kid, you good?" Price rests a hand on your shoulder. The room was caked in gore and and dead bodies. "I'm good, captain." Your voice is monotone and light. He pulls you back a little anyway. "Go scout a little. I'll call this one in."
He asks about it at some point. You give him the no bullshit answer, cause well he's your captain. You've had your Fight or Flight response triggered so much that it's never fully turned down, so now it's just easier to compartmentalize through it and break later.
Was the first to witness such a break and immediate panic cause Oh no! crying recruit.
Eventually he figured out that hugs help.
you seek him out for ✨dad✨ hugs now, just when your feeling off or on the edge of a break. it usually sends you right into a break.
You fell asleep on his shoulder during transport to mission once. woke up to his hat jammed on your head and his gear propping you up.
You will look this man in the face and spout the most cursed fact known to you at the particular minute just to see if he knows it too.
If he doesn't well at least he learned something.
Is usually the one to catch you in the early mornings. just a simple nod in greeting as he sips his coffee.
you always try to steal his coffee. you never succeed
The only who knows that you have a pretty good sized weighted dino plush in your room. He got it for you after a breakdown and you decorating every report you turned in with a dino sticker.
Feel free to brainstorm btw, this is just storm being well storm.

do you have any good suggestions for keeping humidity in an enclosure sky high (like, 80% bare minimum)? i've heard daily misting does wonders and i know some substrate helps better then others, but do you have a more specific answer?
I'm actually not the biggest fan of misting - unless you've got a very reliable misting system set up, it can be easy for misting to cause dips and spikes in humidity levels and you really want your humidity to stay consistent.
Here's how I maintain tropical humidity levels:
Picking the right enclosure is critical! You can maintain high humidity in screen-top enclosures but that'll be a lot more work for you. For small snakes or babies, plastic tubs are perfect; for adults, PVC is a good material choice.
Choose a good humidity-retaining substrate. Coconut husk is my go-to; it can get dusty when dry but you shouldn't let it get dry. It's very easy to rehydrate by simply dumping water directly into it.
Provide a large water bowl! An easy trick is to add another water bowl on the hot side of the enclosure; as it evaporates, it'll release extra moisture into the air.
Make sure your snake always has access to a humidity box! They can be easily made by cutting a hole in the lid of a food storage container big enough for your snake to fit inside and filling it with damp moss.
Once you've got your enclosure set up with humidity-retaining substrate and nice big water bowls, it's honestly just a matter of maintenance. Use a good hygrometer with a probe, and rehydrate the substrate when you top up the water. I only ever need to mist my tropical enclosures when those snakes are shedding!

Power armour!!
New details and stuff about the T60 / power armor in general that I’ve noticed in the show!
Minor spoilers below for the tv show as some things relate to certain scenes.
They absolutely nailed the power armour in the show! I’m so glad they used practical effects for a lot of it, looks great and has some weight to it which I think cgi can lack! Sure it looks a tiny bit goofy but it always was going to, adding a lot to your height and forearm length while still being able to move properly will do that I think. I think they did a great job :)
The faceplate is hinged to open upwards.
You can jump extra far / power jumping
The grip strength is very high (enough to crush a guy’s skull one handed)
The throwing strength is very far (vending machine like 50m?)
These T60s have the jet packs included as a part of the forearms, which is neat I think.
The helmet has its own little hood for comms as a part of the helmet, on top of the operator wearing the silly danse hat, which seems to be an actual hood that’s part of the power armour jumpsuit / knight uniform.
The HUD is in the lower part of the helmet, which seems obvious but the games have no helmet and you still have a HUD so .?? Sole is connected to the armour telepathically, and Danse just Knows. /joking
The back of the helmet opens, you can see the back of the head and there’s also a drinking water fill port.
Possible retcon but voice modulators are strong enough to make people unrecognisable by voice (or that’s just what this BOS chapter does for scary points)
head-cannon but: the strength of the voice modulators also may partially explain why Danse talks like that, no tone or facial expressions mean you’ve got to talk in exact details! (I still think he ate a thesaurus :) )
Fusion cores are keyed!
And the removing said core with the key puts the armour into standby mode, disabling the armours internal manual open overide (new fear)
Some of the important wiring and or control components are on the outside of the helmet in knife range (???)
The handles on the front are for personnel transport during drops lol
The shoulder pieces are also for dropping you from a vertibird, and for maintenance at a power armour station.
You can in fact sit down!!! Assuming the thing you’re sitting on can hold the armours weight
Armor is actually bullet proof again (I understand that it’s only not included in the modern games for gameplay reasons but still)
The actual armour pieces can be popped off the sealed frame easily.
The armour does have storage scattered through it, as Maximus mentions having some radaway stashed.
Grenade in the chest plate front will blow the head and helmet off
Machine gun point blank will kill through the helmet
There is a flaw in the chest plate just below the welding that an armour piercing? round can break for the kill.
Things that aren’t directly shown but I think are a reasonable leap in logic:
If the armour has a hydration system I think it likely has other life support systems like those mentioned in fallout 2 (water recycling of some sort)
Another gameplay discrepancy but, Fusion cores in the show must last a really long time as it powers an entire vault for prolonged periods of time and Maximus only has the one core, either that or power armour is such a energy guzzler that it can use an entire communities long term worth of power in a short time.
I’m sure that there is probably more that I’ve missed!

Solar water heater 100 ltr price in Bangalore
Solar water heater 100 ltr price in Bangalore
Solar water heater 100 ltr price in Bangalore, You should know about solar power first before going for any solar thermal system. Solar thermal system is based on the principle of converting sunlight into hot water (or steam) for use in heating homes and buildings. Solar water heating systems, commonly called solar hot water systems, convert the sun's rays into energy using a black-body absorber located inside a glass collector. When the temperature drops below, however, the efficiency decreases rapidly. Most solar thermal collectors have a maximum working temperature . What Is A Solar Water Heater?
What Is A Solar Water Heater?,a solar water heater is a device that converts solar energy into useful heat. These devices utilize the power of the sun to create a warm liquid that can then be applied to our homes and businesses. In effect, a solar water heater is similar to a conventional electric water heater; however, instead of electricity, sunlight does the work. Our bodies need water to survive and if we do not drink enough water, we become dehydrated. If we live in a desert area where there may not be much access to fresh drinking water, having access to heated water would be helpful.  Thus, a solar water heater could be a cost effective and environmentally friendly alternative.Buy solar water heater , contact Jupiter Solar , www.jupitersolars.in .
How Does Solar Power Work?
Solar powered water heaters make use of the sun's heat and convert it directly into usable hot water. There are several different types of solar water heaters depending on the desired output. The two basic designs are a direct (concentrating type) and indirect (reflecting type). Direct solar water heaters focus the sun's rays onto copper tubes , while indirect solar water heaters reflect the sunlight back towards the tubes. Both of these types of units produce hot water at high efficiencies, although the concentrating type has higher operating costs.

Cost And Efficiency Of Solar Water Heaters
To calculate how much you might save with a solar water heater, you'll need to determine the size and capacity of your current system along with an estimate of the total annual usage. Next, you'll need to figure out how much electricity you currently spend on your utility bill. Then simply divide those figures together. Your savings are determined by dividing the difference between your estimated monthly expenses and what you'd pay by the amount of energy your solar water heater produces. Let's assume you're saving $40 per month on your utility bills - that equals $480 annually. To calculate the approximate number of gallons of hot water produced by your existing system, multiply the volume of your tank by the average flow rate. Once again, let's say you have 5 gallons of storage capacity and your current flow rate is 10 gallons per day. That means you're producing 500 gallons of hot water each year. Divide that by 12 months to find your monthly consumption. Now subtract both the $240 annual savings and the $500 annual production from the $960 total cost of your present system. What's left over is how much money you stand to save by switching to a solar water heater.
Size And Capacity
You'll want to consider the size and capacity of the solar water heater you plan to install before making a decision. Many manufacturers offer models ranging from 100 litre to 200 solar water heaters. The larger the system, the greater the potential savings. Smaller systems can be installed outside while larger ones may requires a free standing structure . A good rule of thumb is to buy the largest solar heater unit possible. Keep in mind that the size of your home or business building will affect the size and weight of your solar water heater. Obviously, larger homes and buildings require bigger and heavier units.
Installation
Most solar water heaters are preassembled and ready to go once you've purchased them. However, they do require some installation work. After placing the solar heater unit in its final location, you'll need to add the hardware. Finally, fill the reservoir with water. Depending on where you live, the process may take a few hours before you start receiving hot water.
Maintenance
Solar water heaters don't require very high maintenance once they've been installed. You won't need to worry about replacing the elements until the solar water heating units are working or cleaning the panels since their performance will remain unchanged. However, you may want to clean the surface of the black-body absorbers every so often. Fortunately, they are easy to remove and replace. Also, remember to keep your unit clear of debris such as snow and leaves.
Water Heater
Water heating systems are used to warm water for bathing, cooking, washing purposes, etc. A solar water heater uses solar power to heat the water directly without using any fuel. In some cases, they use a storage tank where hot water is stored until required. These tanks are filled once a day and then heated by the sun. Heating water by boiling is considered efficient since many percentage of the energy goes . Solar water heaters, however, convert this thermal energy into electricity . Energy efficiency is thus increased. Other types of water heaters are gas-based, electric ones.
Storage Tank
The storage tank is the place where hot water is kept. When the temperature drops below a certain level, the pump sends water back to the boiler. Another type of storage tank is the closed loop system where water circulates continuously between the boiler and the tank.
Boiler
A boiler is a device that takes water at room temperature and heats it to high temperatures. Once the water reaches these high temperatures, it is sent to a tank where the excess heat is removed and converted to useful energy. Depending on the size of the boiler, it may need to have a fan inside to remove extra heat. The fan can either run constantly or only while the water is being pumped.
Pumping System
Pumping systems move water from one point to another. There are many different pumps, but some of the most common ones include centrifugal, screw, and piston pumps.
Electric Motor
Electric motors are the devices that turn the mechanical energy of steam or electrical energy into kinetic energy. An electric motor uses electric current to create rotating force. The rotor spins within the stator, converting it to rotary motion. The electric motor converts electrical energy into rotational energy which is then transferred to the shaft turning the impeller blades.
Impeller Blades
Impellers are the blades that are attached to the shaft. To improve efficiency, the blades spin faster by increasing RPM (revolutions per minute). The higher RPM increases the pressure of the water pushing it outward forcing it to flow around the outside of the impeller blades. This helps the water leave the impeller blades in a continuous stream and exit the unit.
Air Pump
Air pumps help move air across surfaces, keeping them clean and preventing mold and bacteria buildup. Air pumps are often used in air conditioning units to move cool air over coils and condensers.

WINTER COMING: 1 YEAR OF HOMELESSNESS, DISABLED, QUEER FAMILY WITH OVERDUE BILLS
Tldr: We have bills overdue for storage which holds almost all our worldly belongings, we have little food and one of our party is having a medical emergency.
Donate: Ko-fi.com/kittydoesstuff
Okay so nearly a year ago my family had to flee our apartment at police suggestion due to gun violence involving our neighbors.
Since then we've lived in our truck and added later a old beat up camper with no power/water, we were able to rescue our stuff but have ended up with a high storage bill we're trying to cut down on right now, we've also identified where we are trying to live which gives us the best long term odds, we also over the summer were at campsite which gave us a much needed place to be.
But summer couldn't last forever, the campsite has closed and we are back on the streets, and it's getting colder by the day, we've been lucky to avoid snow so far as all of us have warm boots at time of writing and we had a busted tire less than a week ago.
On top of the cold we also have bills, storage which is where most of our worldly belongings are, car insurance which without we could easily lose everything, phone which without we don't have any way of making money and we are right now looking for a dentist to help us as my twin brother has gotten some sort of tooth infection which some nights leaves him unable to sleep as he's reeling in pain.
None of that even mentions things like:
Food money, we are low on basically everything and me and my twin have a lot of food restrictions which make it more expensive for us to eat
Car maintenance, there several things we have to do for the car, we have a broken window on the truck, we only have two tires remotely winter ready and due to a overdue oil change we haven't had space to do we are having to buy car oil nearly daily to keep the truck going
Oh also ya know, we are trying to get a place, but right now all money we get has to be funneled into survival
Anyways the easiest solution to all of this is money, every little bit truely helps and keeps us hopeful, thank you for reading.

Beneath Miles of Stone - Part eleven - John Wick x Plus Size Fem Reader
Summary: John has been in prison for nine months. He’s content to stay if it means appeasing the high table and keeping peace between the owners of each continental. However, he meets someone who erases that willingness. Peace be dammed.
TW; this is just really gross fluff. Like I didn’t even think I was capable of this mushy stuff but this chapter was HONESTLY my favorite that I’ve written so far. Enjoy some soft John Wick ❤️ And thank you for reading.
Work is literal hell. Not just for her, but the patient’s, too.
To replicate the infirmary, the prison has attempted to create a pop up hospital on the main level.
Literal curtains attached to metal poles separate the sick inmates from the main, drafty entrance. Blankets upon blankets is not enough to keep these people warm. The upper and lower levels have been partially closed off, and to get anywhere you have to navigate yellow tape and maintenance and construction workers and use the stairs instead of the busted elevator. That would be okay if everything she needed for her patient’s was right at hand instead of four floors down locked in a dark storage room.
She’s thankful to have her job back, but after a night arguing with managers about the safety of her patient’s, and running up and down stairs with supplies including oxygen tanks and water jugs, she’s exhausted, scared for these grown men’s lives, angry, and wondering whether or not she should call whoever owns the place and tell them it needs shut down and the prisoners need relocated.
Even the guards seem scrambled, fried, like they don’t know what to do in the midst of all the damage and chaos.
She’s been looking for Mike all night, and finally she sees him as he’s walking down the hall and picking up pieces of fallen plaster.
She’s so glad that he’s alive she almost hugs him.
“Hey darling,” he smiles, letting the broom and dustpan dangle at his side. He’s pale and sweaty and his overalls look loose, like he’s lost a lot of weight.
“Are you alright?” She asks.
He shakes his head. “Just getting over whatever the hell decided to mess my lungs up. Are you alright? I was asking around, trying to see if you were here that night and if you were okay, but no one could tell me a damn thing.”
“I was here,” she nods, “but I got out fine.”
“I knew there was a reason I was praying for God to send his best guardian angel to you,” Mike tells her, wiping sweat off his forehead. “You’re blessed. A lot of people died that night.” He looks away, down the hall behind her, sadness crinkling his sunken face.
She cringes, looks at the floor, remembering. No angels have ever been in this prison, and no God exists in this fucked up world.
Instead of saying any of that, she thanks him for the prayers and asks if there’s anything she can do to help him feel better.
“Just keep yourself grounded, kid. I was in Vietnam for a long time, and I know what seeing this kind of thing does to a younger person.” He motions at the blood stains on the concrete walls. “It either makes you hard, or makes you crazy.”
They both try sad smiles for the other’s benefit before parting ways.
She looks for Benny all night, too, almost hopeful that John bluffed. But the big man is not here, and no one says anything to indicate whether he’s alive or dead, so she assumes that she signed his death certificate herself.
When she makes it home, aching and yearning for a shower and a soft pillow, John is outside her apartment.
In any other circumstance, he would see her immediately, but right now he’s helping two elderly women that live on her level load something big into their trunk.
She watches the scene unfold, sees the way they thank him and hug him and kiss his cheek like he’s just saved children in an orphanage collapse, and realizes something about John Wick: Mike’s prayers for God to send her an angel were granted. Here he is, catching her eyes and smiling, her deadly guardian angel. She couldn’t see it before while her vision was clouded by spilled blood and instinctual fear, but he’s saved her life twice, subdued everyone he’s met into loving him, threw their trash away at the bar instead of just leaving it on the table for the waitress, and, if given the opportunity, she knows, without a doubt, he’d save a kitten from a tree and carry people out of a burning building and then go back in for more.
The cold, white sunlight illuminates his tawny eyes into a pit that she’s falling into and never climbing back out of and she can’t believe him hoisting something into a helpless senior citizen’s trunk was the final push.
She reaches where he stands leaning against his car, and he kisses her cheekbone in greeting, the fever of his skin instantly warming her freezing flesh. “Let me take you for breakfast?”
This sickly sweet exchange has her all messed up inside. She feels like her heart is a sleeping dragon hoarding her emotions in a pile and someone is tickling its nose with a feather and waking the beast up.
“I’m dirty,” she tells him, as if somehow that’s going to change his plans.
He cocks his head. “I can wait while you take a shower?”
Going to breakfast with a beautiful angel sounds lovely, but she doesn’t want him to smell her sweat and run the other way. “Sorry, I’m just gross right now.”
“I love dirt,” he teases. “Just come. They  run out of the blueberry pancakes fast.”
She sighs, “fine, but if you smell me it’s not my fault.”
He eases her worries by pulling her into his nostrils and inhaling the skin of her neck.
She squeals with laughter, pushing to get his stubble off her ticklish skin as he nuzzles and sniffs.
“Hm.” He pulls away, thinking. “Smells wonderful so far. Maybe I should try again-“
“No!” She flails in his grip. “No john don’t stop- ahaha na-no!”
He’s in the crook of her neck again, terrorizing poor nerves.
She hits on his chest, presses her neck down over his face to buck him off, giggles obscenely for everyone in the street to hear.
Her laughter is infectious and he could keep doing this all day, but he also really does want a blueberry pancake.
“Apple shampoo?” He guesses, grinning down at her after ceasing cruel ministrations.
“Apple conditioner,” she corrects, glowering.
He leads her, by the waist, to his passenger door.
While he holds the door open for her, she rolls her eyes and curtsies. “Thank you, Mr. Wick.”
He growls, playful, reaching for her as she falls into his cab.
She’s giggling and then screeching, shocked as he chases her in and folds her against the driver’s door.
It’s cold in here, but the heater that he calls a body can’t be fully enjoyed without some chill involved anyway.
And she can’t find the audacity to be cold when he’s tickle attacking her.
Facial hair in the crease of her neck and fingers on her belly and ribs is a deadly combination when he combines it with his huge, agile, speedy hands.
“Oh-o-k-Kay I’m sss-sorr-y!”
He digs into her armpits and she screams, bucking her body so hard that she actually lifts him up a little bit. He’s impressed.
“Please please please no fuck please.” All broken, yelping words from her feral mouth until he stops without warning.
He kisses her gasping lips, and grins. Zero percent disheveled or tired from fighting her while she pants and squirms.
“What about blueberry pancakes?” She flexes away from his lethal fingers.
“You gonna stop being a heathen?” He asks, hoping the answer is no.
“I’ll try,” she promises, grimacing while she waits for impact.
He slides off of her, and they climb over one another - mostly just John moving both of them to their respectful places since she’s so clumsy - to trade places in the seat.
“Pancakes saved your ass,” he tells her, starting the car.
“Good ol’ pancakes,” she grins, “always there in my time of need.”
The restaraunt is a tiny diner on the corner of 3rd and Cross. It’s retro, metal and faded gold red upholstery, with flowers in glass vases adorning each booth.
She wastes no time in smelling the daisies when they take seats across from one another.
“Wow,” she says, “these are beautiful.”
“They’ve always had fresh flowers since I was young,” John explains, leaning close and taking a whiff. “You’ve never been?”
“I just moved here a little bit ago. City of opportunity. I think I’ve been to four restaurants and they’re all pizza places.”
“When did you move?” He asks.
She tells him, then adds: “When did you move from Russia?”
“I can’t exactly remember,” he says, “young, though.”
“What was your favorite place to go?”
“Internationally?” John clarifies.
She nods, toying with the edge of her napkin.
“New York. It’s my home.”
She’s jealous of that word. Such a foreign thing for her to think about, a home. But she’s happy that he has some place he loves. “Ah, home.”
It’s strange and sad, to meet someone more lost than he’s ever been. Even when he was younger, he can’t remember a time when he didn’t have a place to sleep even if it was a cold wooden floor on a burlap sack, and he still has family here whether he likes them all or not.
He grabs her hand, startling her with warm touch on her freezing fingers.
Neither one is used to it, even though they crave the foreign feeling of intimacy.
He rubs her palm with his thick thumb, pressure heavy and soothing.
White snow turns blue, pink, and orange sherbet as clouds curtain back to reveal a painted, fluffed candy sky.
They stare at each other, oblivious to the rainbow of color framing their embrace in front of the big window.
John hasn’t been scared in a long time, but he’s horrified by what his chest is doing while he looks at her face.
Vulnerability hangs in the flower scented air between them, and each one is afraid to cross its’ path.
Like a near extinct species meeting another one of its kind for the first time in a jungle filled with chaos, and, yet, still extraordinarily lonely.
The waitress sets menus on their table, pulling them from uncharted sea back into familiar rocking ocean.
“John,” Cindy greets, leaning down to embrace him.
“Cindy,” he replies, smiling, patting her shoulder and squeezing her back.
The older, plump woman chokes laughter and pulls out from his arm, dusting off imaginary lint from his jacket. She cracks her back and neck and rubs her shoulder. “See you haven’t lost your heavy hands?” She asks playfully. “Gotta be careful with us older people, though. We’re breakable.”
The faintest tint of pink colors his cheeks as he chuckles apologetically. “Sorry.”
“And who’s this?” Cindy asks, grinning down at her.
John introduces them, and Cindy pulls her into a warm hug. “Hi honey.”
Cindy turns her delighted smile on John. “Delo?”
“Udovol'stviye.”
Cindy claps her hands together, laughing in joy. “I’m going to get Bill. Hold on.” She starts to scurry away, but then turns around. “Oh, what do you want to drink?”
“Black coffee,” John says.
“Orange juice?” She says.
Cindy’s gone again.
He’s reminded by the side conversation she didn’t understand that there’s something on his mind he needs to ask her, because as much as he appreciates it, it’s starting to make him paranoid. “You haven’t asked a lot about what I..” he struggles to find the right words. “Do for work.”
“Do you want me to?” Her face is forgiving, non judgmental, although a little timid.
“No.” He hopes he doesn’t upset her with the blunt answer.
“I figured.” She’s a little disappointed, but only because she wants to know if he’s safe while on the job. And also because people that don’t reveal a lot about themselves tend to just disappear without explanation.
“I’m sorry,” he says.
She waves his apology away. “You don’t really know what I do for work either.”
“Hmm.” He leans back, man spreading and dwarfing the booth. His knees knock hers and she laughs nervously, shying away. “Nurses. Hurt people to make them feel better.”
She cringes. “I never thought of it that way.”
“You give people shots, dress wounds-“ he refers to himself “-fix plumbing, cover for maintenance, open packages, argue with stupid doctors, make older ladies adore you, hold people’s hands. This list goes on. Am I close?”
She laughs. “You’re forgetting one huge part.”
He motions for her to tell him about it.
“We wipe a lot of ass.”
His head falls into his hands, and he shakes with heavy laughter. “Jesus,” he says.
“What?” She teases. “Tough guy embarrassed by ass wiping? But not ass whipping? It’s two letters.”
His laugh gets harder, now with added groaning at her embarrassing admission in the nearly empty but still occupied diner. Full of surprises. He peaks at her through his hands. “Just how you say it.”
She shrugs. “Nature of the beast.”
He puts his chin in his hand. “What’s your dream job?”
She tells him, then asks the same question.
“Librarian,” John replies.
She actually does laugh at him this time because she thinks he’s joking. He joins her laughter.
“Yeah?” She asks.
He opens his arms wide as if to embrace the career choice. “Yeah.”
Why is it so strangely hot to imagine him as a strict librarian working late nights at her local book dealer? There’s more to that fantasy, and it involves her getting lost in the maze of massive shelves right before the library closes and then sexy suited librarian finding her and deciding to punish her for her carelessness - but getting horny in a restaurant is not convenient.
And Cindy’s back with Bill, who also gives them both big hugs.
“Jesus John,” he says, “you swallow more iron every day?”
“That’s what I told him!” Cindy cries, elbowing her husband.
“Bill,” John nods.
Cindy sets their drinks down in front of them. “I was just asking about you the other day,” she tells John. “You’re not usually gone that long.”
John sips his scalding coffee and listens to Cindy talk, occasionally nodding and agreeing with the banter between her and Bill.
She drinks her orange juice and listens to the conversation about Cindy almost getting mugged on 23rd.
“And I said, if John was here those punks would have been sorry.” Cindy puts her hands on her hips and shakes her head, then looks at her.
“He’s always been my little - “ Cindy looks back at John “ - big guard dog. Anybody comes in her looking for trouble, he’s got us covered.”
She smirks over at John, who’s trying to act like he’s not blushing again. He narrows his eyebrows at her cheeky expression in a challenging warning at that says ‘ comment on these pink cheeks, and you’re fucked .’
Her eyes shy away from his own as she drinks more tangy juice.
“Oh my god, Bill, he’s laying the charm on this poor girl,” Cindy whispers in her husband’s ear.
Bill glares at Cindy. “They can hear you,” he says.
Cindy pats John’s upper arm, quelling his elevated embarrassment.
“You take it easy on her, Johnny,” Cindy says. “She’s a sweet girl.”
She peaks up at John over the rim of her glass and he is adorable enough that it makes her forget some of her own shyness.
“Remember when you chased that drunk guy down the street with a coffee cup when you were fifteen?” Bill asks, changing the subject. “Guy was so scared he pissed his pants before you threw it and gave him a concussion.”
Cindy laughs, addressing her again. “He did it because the guy grabbed me up for us being out of pie. I mean, how can I help it if we’re out?”
“You make the pie,” Bill tells Cindy, deadpan.
“That’s besides the point,” Cindy scoffs. “Tall, Lanky, growing John steps right in and grabs this guy’s shirt collar and drags him off me. Guy gets up, tries to grab a coffee mug for nefarious reasons, but John grabs it first, looks at it, looks back at the guy, and just goes right for him.”
Bill and John chuckle.
“And after he’s done knocking this guy out with a coffee cup, he comes back in and asks Cindy if she’s alright and she fell in love with the little demon,” Bill says. “Called him her adopted son.”
“And gave him free pancakes for life,” Cindy added.  “How many do you want, by the way?” She winks at John. “Fresh blueberries.”
They place their orders, and Cindy and Bill leave them to cook and check on other customers.
“They’re so sweet,” she tells John. “You’re lucky.”
He’s never heard anyone refer to him with that word before, but she makes him realize it’s true - he islucky. Blessed, even.
John orders a literal stack of pancakes and eats them all like he’s been starving for weeks. He also eats half her big plate of bacon, eggs, and cheesy hashbrowns when she gets full.
She wonders if the wild wolves in Russia taught him how to eat every calorie you can in one sitting and then go days without, because she’s honestly never seen him eat this much or at all. She’s jealous of him, again, for being able to stay lean and bulky even after meals like this. She contemplates asking him to switch metabolisms, watching while he drinks down a cold glass of water and looks at her from the rim of his glass.
“You work tonight?” He asks.
“Twelve hours,” she groans.
“Let me give you a ride in the morning?” He asks. “I’ll pick you up in the alley across the street.”
“Well, that’s not shady,” she jokes.
“Not at all,” he agrees.
Before they leave, he tucks a casual one hundred dollar bill under their neatly stacked dishes and then hugs part of his chosen family goodbye.
“Easy, easy,” Bill laughs, being dramatic while John squeezes him. “Jesus.”
Bill and Cindy pull her in for a hug, too, and Cindy kisses her cheek. “You come back,” the sugar-smelling woman tells her, holding her shoulders. Her heart swells as she tries really hard not to cry in front of them. This whole time in New York and she thought everyone was a soulless robot, but John’s people are just the opposite of that, and she’s grateful to meet them.
She only has time to say thanks before John is escorting her out into the bearable flurry of snowflakes.
When they get into the car, she raises her eyebrows at him and smiles like he’s the most precious thing she’s ever seen. He glances away, avoiding her adoration. “Thought you got free pancakes for life?” She ribs.
He shrugs. “It was a tip.”
She’s extremely reluctant to let Mr. Wonderful himself go about his day as they pull out front of her apartment.
They stare at each other for a minute, before John talks. “Can I pick you up tomorrow?”
“Yeah,” she says, the word partially muffled by his mouth while he plucks at her top lip.
He takes his kiss back and she whines involuntarily, eyes still closed and mouth open expectantly.
He opens her door, walks her to the entrance of her complex, and lays a chaste kiss to her forehead. “Go to sleep,” he says. “See you in the morning.”

Head cannon nonsence:
Shit two dork assed teenagers did at the onsen because they are idiots who respect there elders/ actually like Yuuri's parents.
Cleaned the gutters: Otabek cleaned them, Yuri mostly took the bags of stuff to where they needed to go.
Fell asleep on the roof: Victor was getting to Yuri. Otabek wanted to read in peace. He went to the roof. Yuri followed. Sleep happened.
Almost fell off the roof: See previous entry and know that Yuri almost rolled off. Fortunately, Otabek has great reflexes to make up for his lesser dexterity.
Cleaned out the storage room: Everyone else kept getting caught up in sentimental memories. Yuri was for burning it all, so Otabek actually did the sorting. This was great fun. Turns out Yuuri has a lot of old clothes he saved, and they found his poster collection. Victor is delighted.
Change light bulbs: Yuri standing on Otabek's shoulders makes them about teen feet tall-ish. Mari walked along with them. Yuri pulled out old ones, handed it to Otabek, who handed it to Mari. Mari handed Otabek a new light bulb, who handed it to Yuri, who put it in and closed the fixture where ever needed. Otabek's shoulders hurt after the whole onsen was done but wont say a word. Just rolls them a few times.
Dust the high places: Same dynamic as above, only with a feather duster and cloth. Otabek's shoulders need a break, but it's good stamina and weight lifting training.
Clean and polish the Katsuki's car: This was mostly to impress on Yuri how much time vehicle maintenance takes, but they gave the boy a hose and someone to turn it on, and if that someone happens to be very hot dripping wet and about to get vengeance, well that's just a bonus. You know once water gets involved, Victor and Yuuri get in there too because fun times will be had by all.
Accidentally on purpose teach a bunch of seagulls how to terrorize rude tourists for french fries: Look, Otabek is deviously patient, and once Yuri finds that out he will find a way to turn those traits to evil. Like asking Otabek how to get vengeance on someone who was rude to Mrs. Katsuki. Yuri wont stand for it. French fry lured seagulls, Otabek says with a straight face, because of course he does. What's that? Well, you lure seagulls one french fry at a time to the aria where rude tourists usually gather so they are haggard by said avian for food, thus giving them a shuddering terror of the birds every time they have a meal outside. Parking lots near coastal towns will never be the same.
Get told not to lure seagulls with french fries: they are amassing an army and it's starting to scare people.
Climb a lamp post: This is mostly a dare. Until Yuri can't get down. Otabek helps him, but they never speak of how long it took for Yuri to get back to ground level again because he was afraid to let go of the pole until he knew Otabek would catch him. It becomes an inside joke. May or may not be why the Russian skate team keeps trying to get Otabek to catch them. (Only Yuri is allowed this privileged.)
Discover Otabek is an absolute heater when he's asleep: Storms knock power out. Generator needed for fridge and such. It gets cold. Only room with heat? Yuri and Otabek's. Why? Because Otabek fell asleep hours ago, and radiates that pleasant sleepy warm like he was a small fusion star. Woke up wondering why he is surrounded by people laying on him, and questioning if he's allowed to move to go do morning things. Manages to find a way. Thirty minutes latter everyone else wakes up because all that heat dissipated quickly. It's okay. Powers back on a few hours latter.
Figure out exactly how many M&Ms Yuri can fit in his mouth: 37. He drools after that.
Discover Otabek's reading glasses actually make him hotter and that's an absolute fucking sin: look, he's just trying to do his homework, okay? Collage credits don't amass themselves.
Find out Otabek is a math dork: He and Yuri are watching ice skating play backs with Mari. Otabek is writing out equations absently mindedly as they do. When asked: it's the equations of the skaters jumps and spins. He's working out how to improve them per individual skater. For funzies. Yuri is both impressed and disgusted. No one should like math this much. And if they do, they shouldn't help the enemy. Otabek tells Yuri how to get higher on his quad and suddenly this is the best thing ever. Victor hears. Yuuri is impressed. Otabek winds up on the roof again, trying to escape. No, he is not going to school for maths.
Discover Yuri is actually a pretty good cook. Once he gets over the disgust of spots on vegetables, and figures out how to use a knife (thanks for that Mr. Katsuki, JJ is DOOMED), he's very methodical (perfectionist) so while it takes him longer, it turns out right most times.
Scare the living shit out of people: It's the three am five miles out, five miles back jog Otabek dose every day he can. Yuuri finds out and joins him. Makes breakfast taste better, they say. Yuri thinks they are nuts. Not for the running. For three am.
I got more, but honestly, I have so So SO much for these ice babies.

Hello! Just a small question. In my work there is a "base", located underground. The main characters need to destroy the base, but it is protected against fire. I decided they would flood the base by bursting the pipes and flooding the place, but the logistics are a bit confusing for me. I'm not sure how water pressure would work, where pipes would be, if its even realistic. Thank you!♡
Tex: Fire protection is a bit of a relative term - do you mean to say that there is nothing flammable there? Or that there would be nothing that could start a fire, such as electrical wiring? The same sort of process applies to water systems such as pipes, cisterns, etc. Water pipes generally have lots of checks and balances in the form of things pressure valves, water storage units, and drains. A pipe “bursts” when the internal pressure is unable to be vented (i.e. has nowhere to go), and the inability to equalize pressure to its mechanical standards (i.e. material properties of the pipe itself). Engineers like to design infrastructure systems around some general principles: 1) as close to within budget as possible (i.e. materials, manpower, schedule), 2) easy to spot problems during construction, and 3) easy to repair after its installation in case something breaks. To accomplish this, particularly with water and electrical systems, these systems will be designed with as many straight lines as possible in order to reduce the logistical burdens of its installation, maintenance, and repair. It won’t be uncommon to align multiple systems alongside each other along a wall or in a floor, especially if the employees are paid by the hour, but it might or might not be the absolute best way to do it in terms of long-term solutions. Addy: Water pressure is pretty neat stuff, and I like where you're going with this. My thoughts are a little scattered, but this is feasible or not depending on where the base is.
Components to flooding: 1) How much water is there? 2) Where does the water come from? 3) How quickly does it spread? 4) What does it damage?
So you want to "ruin" a base. That could mean
making it completely inoperable and essentially impossible to recover (totally flooded, it becomes an underground swimming pool/death cave, cannot access without specialized diving equipment).
making it unusable for practical purposes and/or health & safety reasons. Everything of value (papers, records, documents, computers) is made useless and soft surfaces are covered in mold, but a person can still physically enter the space and breathe oxygen. There was water, but then it receded.
In this case, the space is still physically accessible, but the cleanup cost isn't worth it. A dedicated crew may later try to see if there are any documents that got left behind, which could be interesting
Either way, the goal is to remove the enemy's capability to continue operations in this area by damaging their base of operations to an extent that the base is no longer worth the resources to upkeep. Or to damage it to an extent that it is unable to be re-established.
Does it flood quickly or slowly? That affects the speed of the response.
If it happens quickly, the timescale is measured in minutes. Maybe a few hours, if it's a large base. Evacuation is fast, dramatic, and desperate. A few people may try to secure strategic assets (experimental weapon, research notes, hard drive with special data on it, spellbook, classified documents, religious artifacts, medicine, etc. Things that are not easily replaceable), and others may just grab whatever's closest to them and run. Evacuation could be coordinated or it could be disorganized. There may be rescue efforts, people going back to check on their colleagues.
If the flooding is fast-then-slow, then the timescale is hours, maybe a day or two. Initial response is likely going to be panicky, but with people going back inside to grab things once they realize they've got some time.
If the flooding is slow, it's like the above but more like a school fire drill. There's time and not much panic. Not very dramatic. However! If they're leaking a sewer line, then you get people leaving very quickly indeed, as nobody likes to be in contact with raw sewage.
How much water do you need? (If it isn't very much, then people don't panic as much, as they're not at risk of dying)
If you're just looking to fry electronics, that's easy. A few inches of water and there you go, you've ruined your servers and your electrical lines and it's a whole mess. Also it'll get into the floorboards, and that's an expensive fix…. Especially if the water stays electrified. Or if there's sewage or other unpleasant substances in it. Anyways, even a small(ish) pipe can carry a lot of water. A 4" pipe can carry 3400 gallons per minute (gpm) - enough to put a 20,000 sqft facility under a foot of water in 20 minutes. A large 48" pipe, on the other hand, can carry ~35,000 gpm under typical conditions - enough to put that same facility under a foot of water every four and a half minutes.
For reference, fire hydrants put out about 500-1000 gpm. Major pipes tend to be located under streets and highways (hard for them to get accidentally damaged that way), with smaller distribution pipes going to wherever they may be needed. If the base is in the middle of nowhere, they probably won't be near any of the big pipes, so you'd have fairly slow flooding. If the base is hidden in a city, you've got roadways right there. Bonus points if the soil is sand (makes the pipes easier to get to to break).

So if you've got a major pipe running through the area, you can make things happen very, very fast. Even if you don't have the really big pipes, you can still cause a fair amount of damage by just breaking multiple pipes. It really just depends on the area and what kinds of pipes are nearby. In normal real-life conditions, large pipes tend to be hard to get to, and it'd be more practical to break a few 1" or 2" pipes, which could get you a foot or two of water in a couple hours.
You could drain a lake or reservoir, but it'd have to be fairly large in order to actually fill up the volume of the base.
How quickly the water spreads depends on the layout of the building. If there are multiple stories, water will flow down. Closed doors will slow the water down, but won't stop it entirely (unless they're waterproof and designed to resist large sideways forces). Think of it like spilling water on a table, just with a lot more of it.
What gets damaged? Are there any fuel lines, any natural gas attachments? What about liquor? Is there anything flammable that can catch fire and float on top of the water? (Or anything that can break, catch fire, and explode inside the base?) Do you have electronics? Paper? How tough are your floors? Water is heavy, clocking in at 62.4 lb/ft^3 (structural engineers hate rooftop pools). Is there a risk of upper floors collapsing onto lower floors, as the water pours down?
