honestly the Last thing i expected when i downloaded a yakuza 1 iso was that it would be a beat em up with a silent hill camera. im only at the very beginning of the game but like. that's undeniably what this game is... at least so far. i've only just beat the shirtless guy at the funeral parlor, after being devastated at having to go through ALL of his goons AGAIN because there was no save point........

what also doesn't help is that my USB controller is a knockoff xb360 controller where the face buttons are different so i keep forgetting what shape means which button...

Kashiwagi literally looks so much younger in the ps2 games it’s insane, like in zero he looks like he’s in his 40s but in 1 and 2 (not kiwami) he looks like he’d be in his late 20s early 30s at the oldest, why did he look so old in zero man it doesn’t make sense

yakuza ps2 is so bad it's good i swear to god it's HORRIBLE i love it.

Bender's va (Futurama) is Kashiwagi, fuckin' MARK HAMILL IS MAJIMA GORO. Travis Touchdown's va is somewhere-- i haven't heard him yet... KIRYU TAUNTS PEOPLE WHEN HE FIGHTS AND IS AGGRESSIVE? The fighting actually kinda flows correctly too it's wild and i love when kiryu's coat flops when he's running and fighting. HE'S SO BIG AND MEAN I LOVE HIM but at the same time like why did he have to be so vulgar and disrespectful in the west? i'm playing kiwami again concurrently so I can see the differences as I play them. Kiwami is so good to me, I love you Majima Everywhere system.....

where tf my heat actions at??? the forced camera angles are a choice for sure. i drop shit when they hit me and it's kinda frustrating tbh but yk not bad for 2005/2006.
