"Yes, I can," Ace said, squeezing your torso tighter. "I can, so I will."

"Ace," you said, lifting his cheek so he could see your face. "You have to let me go."

"No!" he was too happy. You and him, on a picnic date. You had a flower crown on your head that he had sloppily made, and the temperature was just right. So all he did was bury his face into your skin.

"Ace, please," your tone was much stronger this time. "You have to."

He knew where this was going.

"Ace, this isn't healthy," you sighed.

Ace looked up at you and saw the tears in your eyes. He frowned, reaching up to wipe the salt water away.

And that's when he made a mistake.

"Thank you, Acey." you smiled, tears still rolling down your face, but a smile was on your lips.

"Wha—" he looked back down. Right before his eyes, you were turning to dust and floating away in the nice breeze. "No... No, no, no, no..." 

Immediately on edge, Ace sat up and tried to hold you back together. Trying to stop you from turning to sand. But you changed right in front of him.

"[Name]...! [Name], you're breaking!" pure panic was in his voice. Nothing but pure terror.

The wind blew harder and pushed grayer clouds over the sun.

"It's alright," you said, even though you knew your words wouldn’t help.

"It's not..." he sniffed. "It's not alright."

It rained as he was trying to hold you together. Thunder roared as he held onto your face, trying to keep whatever he could of you intact. Your eyes, your nose, your lips, seven even your ears. Anything... anything at all.

He tried until he was sitting alone on the picnic blanket, the rain pouring heavier than before as he stared at his hands. They were covered in the sand of you, and he watched as the rain washed you away. Thunder roared, louder this time. Louder, louder, louder—

Ace shot up in bed. Deuce was standing next to his bed, looking terrified. Ace's cheeks were covered in tears, and his nose was stuffy.

"Ace!" Deuce gasped before rushing over and grabbing onto Ace's shoulder, turning him to look at him. "Are you alright?"

All Ace could do was nod.

He just wanted to go back to sleep.

And even after Tracy, Fable (a trans person) and several other trans people who know Ze personally explained the situation, Vivs fans STILL think the show should be boycotted.

But Viv retweets from someone who has legit retweeted and posted about how they think Ukraine is lying and how they support Ruissia for causing a LITTERAL WAR, and even when she's blocking people for telling her this and refuses to acknowledge the situation being SHOVED IN HER FACE, her fans say it's fake and defend Viv like they have a gun held to their head.

If people are gonna be so dead set on boycotting lackadaisy because one of the crew liked two posts, despite the situation being explained, then they'd better be willing to do the same when Viv is not only retweeting things from someone who's evidently anti-ukraine, but is also refusing to acknowledge it when it's brought to her attention. You can TASTE the hypocrisy of this entire situation, and it tastes like dog shit in all honesty.

They won't be. They'll never hold Vivzie accountable for anything, ever. It's a cult mentality and Perfect Leader can do no wrong.

Some general things about the Shuster article and this kind of journalism and bunch of other things ...

While the counter-offensive is going slow, it is succesful. Yes, we didn't get another Kherson or Kharkiv moment but there are important successes. The war is still going badly for Russia and will only worsen. So, of course, Russia is putting all the money into their Propaganda. So, expect more articles and journalists like that in the next months. Also an increase in fake news. Russia will try everything to make the support smaller and weaken Ukraine. There are important elections next year. Ukraine is suppossed to start EU talks at the end of this year or next year. All NATO countries agreed on Ukraine being a part of it at some point.

So if you want to help Ukraine - continue to donate, to support them, to speak about them, to keep the focus and attention on them. The people's support and the world's attention are some of the most valuable things they have and need in order to survive. Russia knows this and will try to create more disturbances and other problems worldwide, trying to make the world forget Ukraine.

If an article is based mainly on anonymous sources, without clarifying to how many he actually talked to, let alone how and how much they are involved in the inner circle, I would not only take the article with a big grain of salt. I would question a lot of it.

Dramatizing and twisting some well known facts and sentiments, only to shitten on a person who is not responsible for it, is not journalism.

Completely ignoring Putin's behaviour and projecting it on Ze to a level where you wonder if you read about Hitler 1945 or the war right now is disgusting. To put it mildly.

Ukraine is at war but the political landscape is very much alive, especially with the possibility of elections next year. There are a ton of people who can't wait to ditch Ze and their fake support to gain some power or, in their hopes, sit on the throne and "do it better". But since the polls are in Ze's favour, they, of course, will use every given opportunity to start a smear campaign against him. (Yes, this includes Arestovych.)

As expected, the Propaganda idiots have a field day with the article and use it in every possible way. They will also use it in the future, whenever they need it. This will get worse and increase, so if you want to protect your mental health, keep that in mind when you browse social media. Don't underestimate the amount of bots they have, as well as how trained they are to over take social networks. Keep in mind that they are the minority, not the majority, despite how large they appear to be.

Mindless Intelligence - Week 9

Hey everyone, welcome to another week of nature interpretation! Today I’d like to share the story of an amazing creature out in nature that you may have never even heard of - Slime Molds. 

Slime molds look very similar to, and are decomposers, like fungus. But they aren't actually fungus. Or plants. Or animals. They are actually single celled (sometimes) Eukaryotes. Eukaryotes is the ‘complex cell’ group, including all animals, plants, protists, and fungus (Howard, 2020). So, basically slime molds are in that group, but don’t really belong to any of the subgroups. They’re just kind of ‘miscellaneous’.  

Oh yeah, and the reason I say they are single celled sometimes, is because slime molds will often congregate together and share their cellular contents, forming a giant collective cell thing, which is really cool and weird (Howard, 2020). Slime molds live out most of their lives as single-celled microorganisms, but when they’re ready to reproduce, they can scale up in size to form structures that look like fungus.

I first learned about these creatures in a youtube video from an absolutely excellent nature communicator, Ze Frank on Youtube True Facts: The Smartest Slime. I would really recommend checking out his videos and channel. He’s such a compelling interpreter because he tells a story by naming the animals in his clips funny names and narrates it, and he uses wit and humor to keep the audience engaged (Beck et al, Chapter 10, Arts in Interpretation).

Now, let me get into more interesting and amazing bits. So, slime molds have no brains, no eyes, so ears, and are essentially a big blob of cells. You would think that this would -  no offense - make them very stupid. But, researchers have found that they can solve mazes (Howard, 2020). As the slime mold moves through the maze on the lookout for food, it is able to sense the trail of slime that it’s left behind, allowing it to avoid areas it's already been.

Some species are also capable of a primitive style of learning. Normally, when one of the slime mold’s tendrils touches a negative stimulus like salt or caffeine, it slows down and moves elsewhere. But if it discovers that it can reach food by traveling through the hazard, it learns, over time, to keep going to get the food! One of the interesting things about this behavior is that it can be ‘taught’ to other slime molds by fusing with other ones that have never encountered the risk. Even more interesting is that this behavior stays in the slime mold for many weeks, even if the blob goes into a dried-up, hibernation-like state (Howard, 2020). How crazy is that? 

While doing this research I also found some wild information about their reproduction.  Slime molds have a swirling mass of additional types of sex cell – giving them around 720 sexes in total (Howard, 2020).
