A Review Of SweatyRocks
I ordered these first in white size small. I LOVE them. They fit perfectly, length is exactly what I needed, and some genius person had the good sense to NOT put pockets in them. If you’ve tried a thousand pair of white slacks, you know… the pockets always show through and look weird, so this was an excellent design decision. Also, they flow really nicely over the hips because there’s nothing to bulk up the sides or create an odd fabric pooch where they open. They come super wrinkled, but I steamed them and the result is pants that look like I paid $200. I had a very snooty acquaintance ask if they were Alexander McQueen because she legit thought they looked like Kate Middleton’s suit pants. High praise. So 10/10 on those.
Since the white ones were so amazing, I ordered a black pair (in the same size) because these were a holy grail kind of find for me. NOT THE SAME PANTS. The black ones were much larger, I compared the waistbands and it’s a full 2″ larger than the white ones. OK, fine, Amazon returns are great so I’ll just order an x-small. But they just are not the same.
First, the black ones DO have pockets. I didn’t want them, so that’s not great. Second, the sizing is definitely inconsistent. The small white and x-small black have the exact same size waist, but the x-small are about 1.5-2″ shorter (that part makes sense). Result is if I want the ones that fit in the waist, I can’t wear them with anything other than flats. I’m 5’4″, so not exactly tall… Third difference is the fabric. The white ones are a tighter weave and come across as a higher end fabric. The black ones are rougher, have a bit of weird stretch, and don’t look as expensive. I steamed them to get the wrinkles out so I could make a fair comparison, and they are just not as nice.
Conclusion: these are either 10/10 amazing most gorgeous affordable pants ever made, or they’re 6.5-7/10 okayish because they didn’t break the bank and they cover my bits… but it’s all depending on the color.

There is a fact that Ada never saw Leon in a suit, but Claire did and he never wore a suit again after saying it didn't suit him.
lol! for me, i see leon as someone who really values people's advice when it comes to fashion since he's not the dressy/fashionista type.
although in the remakes (re2r to re4r), i'd say that his style has improved. from the casual jacket n jeans to wearing a pricey fur jacket and semi-compression style activewear shirt (sorry but i can't stop looking at the wrinkles of his shirt, in a way it just completely hugs his chest..... likeeeeee try not to froth in the mouff challenge??!!!).
back to the point, ID leon's suit looks just fine to me but it's still baaaaaasic! i'm gonna have to agree with claire on this one. plus, i don't think he would just stop wearing suits just because claire said it didn't suit him. we just don't see him wearing one bc his screentime is mostly composed of him either in work uniform fighting BOWs or him dressed casually (the latter proving that's just his go-to style).
lastly, we have yet to see him in a suit and ada gets to see him in it, maybe in the next cgi movie or tv series (trust that they'll make it happen *crosses fingers*).
p.s. dibs on ada roasting the shit out of his style yet still offering him her fashionable advice (even sending him to one of her favourite designer brands' stores).

Summary: She and Jason take her dog for a walk and talk about how they're definitely not going to get into a relationship, nu-uh.

The third time was on purpose. So were the fourth, and fifth.
Jason had been messaging Andy for the last month, more than he had ever texted anyone outside of the vigilante scene since coming back from the dead.
Sometimes he met her at the college library when she had essays to write and he had case work that could be done in public and neither one wanted to be stuck at home. He made annoying orders at the cafe she worked at on weekends, and she made him terrible coffee in return. Conversation drifted from their shared tastes in books, to food, to travel, to whatever came into their heads.
It was all going well until a fear took root in Jason.
He had no business getting into a relationship. For so many reasons. Gotham was its usual unhinged and dangerous self, and the Red Hood played a vital part in its defense. It would be irresponsible to go dragging some innocent into this life. He couldn’t. He was self aware enough to know vigilantism had made him a paranoid mess, and he wasn’t going to make that anyone else’s problem. And he’d seen how the others started taking only safe bets when they had someone to come home to. He wasn’t going to start playing it safe now, not with so many people counting on him.
Not that he and Andy were dating. But it made him nervous when he found himself flirting, or laughing with her just a little too hard. Thinking about her in idle moments on patrol. Idle moments.. Not on patrol.
Andy was fun. She was beautiful and thoughtful and she didn’t see a ghost when she looked at him.
He couldn’t string her along. It wasn’t fair.
Unless of course she didn’t even want him, in which case he was making a damn fool of himself for nothing.
They were meeting up at the dog park at Too Fucking Early o’clock. She was more fond of mornings than him. Her dog Marlow needed a walk, and they were going to stroll down to the good taco truck for lunch. That wasn’t too intimate. It was lunch, anyone could get lunch.
He got there first, wearing dark glasses and squinting resentfully at the bright winter sun that was cutting through the usual diffusing layer of smog. He casually surveyed the others walking around. Crime Alley looked better by day. He didn’t even spot many hidden weapons. There were some young kids squealing on the grass, and a few people jogging in pairs. A fair few people in different uniforms smoked under shop awnings and there was a line for the coffee truck. Poison Ivy had done some light vandalism on the park a year ago but they had it in hand now and nobody had been eaten by the bushes in months. It was downright pleasant.
“Marlow!” Andy’s voice called.
Jason turned and was immediately confronted with soulful black eyes in a large grey snout staring intently at him. The wiry haired dog the snout was attached to came up to Jason’s hip. His mouth split into a wide smile and he presented a hand for him to sniff. Marlow inspected his offering thoroughly. Then he presented his head for pats, bumping his face at Jason's hand.
“Who’s a good boy, hm?” Jason crouched down to rub his sides. “Ready for your walk? No, no licking my face, come on.”
“If the face isn’t for licking, why is it within licking range? Checkmate, human,” Andy said.
Jason smiled up at her. She was dressed in activewear, red and black tights hugging her shapely legs and hips before they were hidden beneath a thick grey hoodie. Her hair was up in a high bun. She grinned back at him, as blinding as the sunlight.
He swallowed and looked back at Marlow. He got his face licked. She laughed at him.
He made a face and stood up. “I had no idea he was so big. Irish wolfhound, huh?”
“Yeah. I didn’t know what he was when I found him as a puppy.” They started walking together along the dirt paths. “My friend who was totally going to get into vet school any day now said he was an Irish terrier.”
Jason snorted.
“How are things with you?”
“Alright. Work’s keeping me busy and Mrs Nikolaou on seventh street gave me a half sheet tray of Moussaka the other day,” he said. He had told her he was a contractor in private security, which in Gotham wasn’t necessarily a criminal activity, it did not invite follow-up questions. It was easier than maintaining an elaborate string of lies, and unlike Bruce he couldn’t get away with telling everyone he got hurt playing polo.
Andy’s eyebrows spiked. “A half-? What is it with little old ladies adopting you? Where’s my moussaka, is what I’d like to know.”
“I guess you’re just not as cute as me.”
“Impossible. I’m fucking adorable.”
He opened his mouth to agree, and then thought better of it. “Marlow’s about to eat duck poo.”
“Marlow!”
They reached the taco truck, which had a line in front of it to his disappointment. It never had a line at 2AM. It smelled amazing though, and they lined up eagerly. Marlow whined very convincingly but he’d already had his lunch.
They got their orders and sat on a low stone wall to eat.
Strands of Andy’s hair had come loose in the wind, and were at risk of getting stuck in her taco. She kept whipping her hair to try and flick it away, since both her hands were dripping salsa. Jason reached over to brush the hair from her face. She looked up at him and blushed. He tucked the hair behind her ear and grinned at her flustered look. She elbowed him in the stomach and stole one of his corn chips.
Then he got skittish and dedicated his attention back to his lunch. Marlow curled up at their feet, keeping a wary eye on passersby. Andy finished hers first and scrubbed at her hands with a napkin.
She cleared her throat. “Hey.”
“What?”
A silence stretched between them. He glanced at her warily.
“I don’t want to make things weird, but, uh. I’ve been meaning to say.” She stared at her hands in her lap. “I’m not looking for anything romantic at the moment. If that was what you were looking for. It’s not that I don’t like you, I just had a bad break up a while ago and I can’t- I’m not- um.”
Relief and crushing disappointment filled him. He chose to lean into the relief.
“I’m not looking for anything more either,” he said and bumped her shoulder.
She let out a breath of relief and looked up at him. “We can be friends, right?”
“Yeah.” He ran his hands through his hair and coughed a laugh. “I was actually trying to figure out how to ask you the same.”
“Yeah? Bad break up too?”
“Na. Just… not in the right place for it.”
Her shoulders relaxed and he did too. The distance he had been trying to maintain between them fell away. It was safe to get close to her now, because he knew it wasn’t going to lead to anything.

What are your favorite stores to get timeless pieces? I recently graduated college and I feel like my wardrobe is not matching my age!

I totally understand, I’m in the middle of doing basically a complete overhaul. I’d say start with Banana Republic, Express, Abercrombie, Everlane, Reformation, Madewell, Ralph Lauren, Zara, J. Crew, Aritzia, Levi’s for jeans. Calvin Klein for underwear, t shirts. I lowkey love American Eagle & Aerie too even though it’s somewhat of a younger oriented brand. H&M gets a lot of heat for bad labor practices, low quality, etc. but I’ve had a few items from H&M that I still wear from years ago and it’s super cheap. White House Black Market has beautiful dresses. Also you can get a lot of this stuff at outlets or on sale or at places like Nordstrom Rack, TJMaxx, etc. I wish American Apparel was still more of a thing (rip) because their cotton basics were the best and I still wear a few neutral basics from them from literally early high school. I also like Pact for organic cotton basics.
For classy rich girl activewear I go for Lululemon, Alo Yoga, North Face, Patagonia, LL Bean, Eddie Bauer, Nike, Columbia. Loungewear/casual wear I love Aerie, Free People, and Anthropologie. Carhartt is kind of having a moment too and I have a few of their winter accessories like their beanies.
I know you said “don’t talk about thrifting” but thrifting is awesome. If you go to the rich neighborhoods in your area and go to the nearest thrift stores you can find gems. I’ve literally found authentic designer brands and cashmere sweaters at goodwill so if you’re down for the hunt it can be very rewarding.

Welcome to the Bonus Rounds of the MC Wardrobes series, where I have a little fun with the different accessories I can add to some of the MC outfits, combining different pieces from different outfits, and making new outfits for other miscellaneous events.

The jade necklace that Aiden gives as his good-luck gift. I used this in the HSS:CA fall casual outfit, but she definitely wears it with almost all her other OG Book 3 outfits too.
She definitely especially wears it on dates and special events with Aiden (Hmmm I wonder if I can easily add the jade necklace version into those prom photo edits I made for Aiden and Evie a few months ago... hmmm...)
And you know she's definitely gonna wear the fuck outta the necklace in the band AU when she performs the sax solo that Aiden wrote for her.

And with some rest, now I can write more in-depth posts.
First, the skins which I will break up into multiple posts due to the 30 image limit.
Part 1/11
First batch is Aphmau.
Starting with her Freshman skins that I've finished.
Ro'Meave Dinner:
Pretty much the same save for some stockings (pantyhose) and some colour changes.
Nothing too crazy like the pdh uniform overhaul.
Bake Sale:
I changed up the entire maid outfit, plus made it slightly.. less provocative maybe? considering the inspiration and everything.
The inspiration being the Shizuku-tan costume from My Dress Up Darling.
Prom Night:
Save for the dress shape, shoe, and rose colour change, nothing much was changed.
Pajamas:
Again, nothing much aside from colour changes and a sock being rolled down.
Though it's attributed as a freshman skin, it's likely I'll tweak it a bit if I am able to make the pipe dream of a machinima production a reality at some point in the future.
Next, her Sophomore skins.
Casual:
I took some inspiration from y2k fashion I found on google.
Instead of.. Idk what she was wearing in the source material- instead of that, I gave her a tank top layered underneath a shirt, some jean shorts layered over a pair of black leggings, and some purple sneakers rather than her ratty red runners in her freshman year skins.
Pajamas:
Save for her night shirt being baggier, the overlay details, and colour changes, not much was changed.
Again, I might tweak this and every other skin that might need it if I'm able to do a machinima production of my reimagining.
Activewear:
Nothing much changed again aside from her tanktop being changed into a shirt and some colour changed.
As for her sophomore uniform, it's functionally the same as her freshman uniform. The only thing different is her hair and shoes. Therefore it's kinda useless to show it here and list off what I've already said in this paragraph.
Next batch, Aaron.
First order of business is his senior outfits.
Overall:
Aside from making his hair tinted red, I kept everything mostly the same. Sticking to the hair guide I drafted up a while back.
Uniform:
The first instance I've shown where the uniform differs slightly.
When I made the uniform templates, I made three main variants for both 4px and 3px skins.
The one Aphmau, Travis, and Zane sport is the tidy variant, whereas the one Aaron's sporting is the sleeves-rolled up variant. Well, one of the variants with the sleeves rolled up.
The variants I made at the time were the one Aaron's wearing, the tidy variant, and the "untidy" variant, which 2 of the characters currently finished wear.
Casual:
Again, I didn't change much from the source material on this one, just a few colour changes.
Prom:
And once again, nothing much changed. The suit I made myself, but the rose and colour choices (namely red-tinted-black) were kept the same.
Next, his freshman university skins.
Casual:
Exactly the same as his senior year casual, however, I ripped his jeans, frayed the rips slightly, added a bit more weathering, fixed his shirt, and rolled his sleeves down one pixel.
Uniform:
The same aside from his were wolf ears and tail.
