I’ve fallen in love with the concept of the various deities of the Pokemon world having preferred pairings.

My idea is that Arceus always had Volo’s wellbeing in mind and chose Akari specifically not just because she’s the protagonist from DPP and already has experience with what she’d potentially be facing in Hisui, but also because Arceus knew she’s exactly what Volo needs.

But despite giving her a phone, Arceus is really bad at this whole communication thing. And Arceus doesn't tell her anything because, you know, it's supposed to be some sort of thing where Akari has to have faith in her choices and such - but all Arceus is really doing is sinking their own ship.

Well, not really sinking, just getting it stuck in whatever is the Pokemon world equivalent of the Suez Canal.

Dialga, thankfully, is more talkative and far less cryptic, but Dialga also has their own biases.
