So is totk another reincarnation or like next Wednesday of botw?? How did thr environment and tech change so much xddd? Oh wait there could be multiple islands or something.
What are the explanations for shrines? Like they're just there for link to rave in
The trifecta or something like those three triangles are what i most see associated with loz. What did they represent??
Which variation of loz game first introduced you to it? Which is your fave?
If link and Finn adventure time met would they be best friends yes or no. Answer THIS ONE now1 bye
GOD BLESS YUOUUUUUU
-totk is a direct sequel to botw! iirc, totk started as botw dlc, but things got so Big they ended up making another game! we dont actually know how much time has passed between the two games, but there are a couple of things that point to it having been a few years.
>Tulin, who was a very young child (think 4 - 7?) in BOTW, is considerably older (10 - 13) in TOTK, as is riju (she went from being 11 - 14 to being 16 - 18).
>purah's age-reversal technology, which first accidentally made her revert to 6 years old in BOTW, has had its kinks worked out and shes back to looking like a very young adult
>major developments in various characters lives and in the various towns ALSO imply times progressed (zeldas moved in with link and has facilitated the creation of a school in Hateno, Paya is now chief of Kakariko, Sidon is engaged, etc etc).
so its not really the next wednesday after BOTW, its more like. a couple of years down the road. i like to think its been 6 years, just bc thats the actual gap of time between botws release and totks release and nintendo has based their game timeframes off of release dates before (splatoon does this a lot)
-if theres an explanation for the shrines in TOTK i donot know it yet <3 for BOTW, the calamity that strikes Hyrule is actually the 2nd time its happened. 10,000 years before botw, calamity ganon struck, and a link and zelda we dont know anything about managed to seal him away. the ancient sheikah of the time had the foresight to be like "omg what if he comes back" and so they made the shrines to help train whatever hero was around when ganon decided to come back in the future. idk why theyre just Gone in botw tho that shit sucks :/
-uaaah the triforce is so fuckinf weird. ok so its a wish making thing made up of 3 parts-- the triforce of power, triforce of courage, and triforce of wisdom (Woaoo spladfest!!!). if u wanna use it, you have to embody those 3 things, and u also have to be a mortal. if u DONT possess those three qualities, the triforce breaks and embeds whatever quality you embody most in you and the other two parts find people to shove themselves into instead. in skyward sword, link goes through a number of trials that help him develop the power, wisdom, and courage he needs, and he's able to make a successful wish. meanwhile in ocarina of time, ganondorf tries to take it, and he gets stuck with the triforce of power while the wisdom and courage parts go attach to zelda and link respectively. the triforce is a little. dumb i think </3 sorry
-my first legend of zelda was skyward sword, but i never got past the first ghirahim battle, so id just... keep restarting, playing to that point, and starting again. i was kind of obsessed with the opening and i would replay just to see the cutscene where Fi leads Link away to the sword in the middle of the night. I got farther in when i replayed it when i was older but i watched Chuggaconroys playthru all the way bc he loves the game as much as I do and shows u all avenues and details :]. my 2nd game was OOT on the 3Ds and i got to the fire temple and did a similar thing of playing thru the first bit and resetting to play over and over again. then beyond that ive played minish cap, twilight princess, hyrule warriors (wii u), wind waker, botw, and now totk. ive been a fan since i was 4-6, so ig ss/oot got me into it? but BOTW reaaally kicked things into high gear for me lmao. honestly what got me REALLY back into it was michpat6's aftermath series on ao3 because it completely recontextualized how i saw the series and its characters. my favorites are, in order; Skyward Sword, Breath of the Wild, Ocarina of Time, and the Minish Cap!
-ok waiot which. Link. heres wht i think hahehahea;
>wind waker: BESTIES they go on adventurs and be so silly togwtherr!!!! finn talks ab his parents and link talks abt his gma and sister!! they talk abt their nonhuman friends!!!! link shows him how to use the hyoi pears to astral project into the seagulls! bestieeeees!!!!!!
>twilight princess: not sure? TP link gets along great with weird ass kids but idk if that means he genuinely would like 2 chill w a weird ass kid like Finn aushjsa
>BOTW/TOTK: YES but she'd be much more mellowed than Finn. same shenanigans different demeanor yakno. also blond bitches w fucked up ripped off arms and sentient sword gang!!!!!!
>AOC: euurhhhg.no. i think he was a good bit more no nonsense pre calamity but then again he did eat rocks bc someone dared him to and ran like 2 miles bc got his motorcycle hijacked by zelda in this one so idk
>Skyward Sword: he'd be so sooo sweet and like. humor Finn? but unless Finn needed help w anything hed just gently turn down any offers to chill 2gether bc hes sooo focused on other things and the way his swords buzzing tells him he needs 2 get on it
>OOT: ok if hes a kid he'd think Finn is SO COOL but if its adult link i think hed see him as very annoying and would get on his nerves . idk oot link seems very frustrated at all times and like i cant blame him but i think his patience would be very very thin
>Majoras Mask: somewhere in the middle of adult and child links opinions. god knows how long that boys been in a timeloop i think he wouldve learned to appreciate the people around him more than he did as an adult shaped kid back in Hyrule but thats getting into Strawb's Meta Analysis Of Ocarina Of Time/Majoras Mask territory and that would take 5 billion years to explain so i wont here </3
>Minish Cap: tehy have hat. yes. also i read the manga for this one and he acts like sum sort of middle ground between finn and gumball watterson so uauhhhhh ya (nvn)b
>A Link Between Worlds: ok look. i havent played this game. i cannot tell u the plot. what i DO know is that theres this little freak dressed like a rabbit named Ravio who is bizarro Link from a reversed Hyrule called Lorule and im obsessed with him. anuways Ravio and Finn would also be alright buds and Ravio would like. totally cheer Finn on from the background but also he's stealin shit outta Finn's house sowwyyy

annoying revali anon again... im sorry but I want to ask more, your post about link's age was really thoughtful, even though most of the info is in the game I didn't think about it and I never saw other people talk about it (even if so many people are always aking guesses about link's age!) so I want to ask, do you know Revali and Sidon's age too... please and thanks...
Ok, Sidon is easy but Revali is a tough one! And I don’t have the time to source properly. I’ve actually been writing a post about the ages of all the relevant BOTW characters (that’s why I had this info at hand for that other Link post too!) but adding quotes, screenshots, etc. takes a lot of time.
So here is a very informal answer until I manage to compile everything:
- Adult Sidon is, canonically, older than 100 (obviously XD) but younger than 130, I estimate around 110ish since we know he’s much younger than Rivan (who’s over 130). Sidon is also canonically considered more on the “young adult Zora” side than on the “middle aged Zora” side (for comparison, Bazz and Gaddison are confirmed middle aged). Zora a bit younger than 100 are more or less already considered adults or late teens (like Dunma) so Sidon might had been an adult for a while. I hope this made sense lol.
Regarding the current twitter drama: Zora mature in a very different way, much slower in general, and not necessarily perfectly proportionally slower than the other races. You can’t equate Zora age to Hylians, don’t ask “would that make Sidon around 23 in human age” that makes no sense... he’s a +100 young adult by Zora standards because he’s a Zora.
- Revali’s most likely just barely an adult, and somewhere around the same age as Link (17-19). For reference, this is everything I had to say about Link’s age / LINK /. Anyway back to Ravioli Pasta Boy, we can only make a good guess about him being around that awkward age between teen and adult. I’ll try to explain as short as possible:
- I’ll start saying that, unlike the case of the Zora, Rito age and life expectancy are the same as for Hylians. We can infer this from Revali’s own dialogue in the Champion’s Ballad, as well as from Creating a Champion. The book also tells us that Kass is considerably older than Teba, but we have nothing to compare them to Revali, that I have found. While the Zora talk a lot about their age (since it’s relevant to Link’s past and his old bonds with them) we have no numbers to compare for the Rito, sorry. STILL, go on and read:
- Revali uses “boku” to refer to himself in Japanese. It would be very awkward for anyone other than a male child/teen to use “boku”. An adult man would use boku in some settings, not in the way Revali does in my opinion (I explain why on this other post) but some people disagree... so I won’t say this is conclusive evidence on it’s own BUT I can stack this hint with the next few ones:
- Urbosa's Diary: “Revali is of the youngest Rito generation” (the diary has different wording in the different localizations but ultimately says that).
- Urbosa’s diary putting Zelda, Link, Revali and Mipha in the same age group (yes, Mipha too, don’t ask me I didn’t write this game lol)
- Revali’s considerably shorter than the other Rito adults (and I’m not even talking about Teba who is actually taller than the other Rito men).
- Other more speculative hints:
- Revali still has the same face markings as the Rito children. It might be just a design choice but why not mention it. A lot of the stuff in this game is very deliberate, so yeah.
- Revali’s emotional immaturity;
- The fact that he was designed to be Link’s rival (stated in Creating a Champion);
- The fact he didn’t have any descendancy, unlike Urbosa or Daruk, even though he loves his homeland and his people so much, he gets along with children, and all he ever wanted was to see the Rito thrive. One would think, he didn’t have the time to have a family :(
- The age gap between Revali and Teba matching the trend of the other co-pilots in which one is an older adult (Urbosa, Daruk, Teba and Sidon) and the other a youngster (Riju, Yunobo, Revali and Mipha). Creating a Champion says Yunobo is “a young adult Goron still growing” and I think all of us can see how that’s very possibly the same case with Link, Revali and Mipha.
- Creating a Champion also highlights how adult/big/confident Teba is that he isn’t bothered at all by criticism, being mostly aware of his own shortcomings, feeling no shame and just working hard. A big contrast with Revali, who while being just as hard working, is a bit of a bratty kid and an overachiever who hates being caught in what he considers “a moment of weakness” (a moment of shame). So, again, deliberate decisions while designing the characters.
I might be missing something big but that’s all for now! I’m confident most of the facts are correct (please notice that I mentioned when I make estimations and when I speculate, versus when I’m giving actual canon data and quoting!). Again, I haven’t put together all my sources yet, the quotes are from memory an paraphrased, double-check before quoting me on this ;D
Also! Do what you want with this info, make your own conclusions. Link and Sidon’s age frames are a bit more restrictive and Zelda literally turned 17 the day of the Calamity (I think the only character with her age set in stone lol), but otherwise the game and book would be like “eh, Riju was designed to look around 12 but Gerudo mature faster... Paya was designed to be around Link’s age, between 18-20... Purah is, uh, 120, kinda......... Link found the Master Sword when he was 12 or 13, maybe........¿¿?...?” like, what do you mean, does Link not fcking remember if he got the sword when he was 12 or 15 lmao!!!! Assholes!!! XD
So like, yeah ahahahha. You think Revali is 17? The game says Sure Why Not. You say Revali’s 24 and a short king? Perfectly possible too honestly. We stan short King Revali, wow much sass in such smol birb. Big bow go brrrr
Last thing about Teba and Revali because I wanted the Age of Calamity SPOILERSSS at the end:
 - In Age of Calamity *SPOILERSSS*  Teba’s dad instincts kick in on a couple of occasions... there are many battle combos I haven’t seen yet, but at least once Teba goes to Revali to give some emotional support (in the battle before the last, I think); in another occasion to help him speak his true feelings (as in literally voicing them in Revali’s stead because Teba is that blunt and Revali is... you know, like he is.) As it happens between the other co-pilots, the older one often reassures the younger one (Mipha and Sidon still have an older sister/younger brother dynamic even if Sidon came from the future and is now literally older than her lol so the rule still applies! XD). So again, I feel like the age difference between Teba and Revali is noticeable, even though Teba is still a young dad himself... but I honestly feel that if someone wanted to say both Revali and Teba are like, 25, no one could tell them that the canon says otherwise XD

Prompt List
Words: 2917
Summary: Very fluffy. Link pops the question. Proposal fic. Can’t get any better than that folks
BotW Post Calamity Zelink
Zelink-mas 2020  l  Masterlist
There were many words that could describe how it felt to have Zelda back by his side. He could call it wonderful, magical, amazing--just about every word in the book. None could fit better, however, than natural. Natural was how it felt when she’d appeared before him, glowing in a gold far richer than the ores beneath the surface could ever produce. Natural was how it felt when she smiled at him, striking his heart with an arrow of warmth he’d forgotten how to know. Natural was how it felt when he hugged her, holding onto her as if his life depended on it. And natural was how it felt to love her, like he’d done it a thousand times over and would do it a thousand times more.
It felt natural to celebrate every little thing with her, whether it be her new haircut, or a holiday, or an advancement in the reconstruction of Hyrule. It felt natural to follow her back into the heart of the kingdom, where he would spend the rest of his days as her knight attendant because the thought of not being with her made him feel empty. Everything he did with her, even if it meant to just exist within her presence, felt so incredibly familiar and natural, and perhaps that was why they fell into a rhythm so quickly.
Perhaps that was why most nights, Link only fell asleep after Zelda did. He liked to see her curled up underneath the covers, tucked into his arms, with the peaceful expression of a sleeping goddess visible in the silver moonlight. Perhaps that was why he found every reason to accompany her wherever she went, so that he could see the way she lit up and smiled when things were working out. Perhaps that was why he took his job so seriously, even now, simply because he liked to be around her.
Admittedly, it’d be problematic if he didn’t like to be around the very princess he was courting. That would never be an issue though, even in times like these, when she was trying to use him as a test subject for her new, trial-and-error elixirs.
“You know I trust you with my life,” he said, holding her wrists as gently as ever. “But I’m not putting that in my body.”
“I promise you’ll be okay,” she replied with a pout that almost swayed him. But Link stood his ground and shook his head, chuckling softly at her antics.
“You’re ridiculous, Zel.”
“I know what I’m doing, Link. I wouldn’t willingly feed you something that could harm you.”
“Uh huh. And what’s the elixir supposed to do?”
“Well, if all goes according to plan--which it should, it would boost the natural defense of a person against any sort of attack or condition.”
“You’re brilliant, but I’ll still have to pass.”
Zelda huffed, then uncapped the vial and brought it to her lips. Link was quick to snatch it from her hands and cap it again, shaking his head.
“Nope,” he said, “We’re not doing that either.”
“Then how are we supposed to know whether or not it’s effective?” she argued, crossing her arms over her chest.
“I’ll find you a volunteer,” he replied, which she knew was code for I’ll be your test subject later, and it was enough to satisfy her into smiling. “Can I make our dinner now?”
“It’s all yours, sir knight,” she answered, handing the slate over and lifting her hands up in defense.
“Thank you, Princess.”
It was far from the first time he called her that, and it was a proper title anyone could use. But Zelda still smiled with a pink on her cheeks, and Link could do nothing but watch her. Watch the way crinkles formed by her eyes when she smiled, and the way her freckles became more prominent in the sun, and the way her golden hair bounced when she moved, and the way she furrowed her eyebrows whenever she was confused.
“What?” she asked.
“You’re beautiful,” he said, like it was the simplest thing in the world. She ducked her head and laughed, and he smiled in return.
“So you’ve said, many times,” Zelda replied, giving his arm a gentle shove.
“And I’ll keep saying it until the end of time. You’re divine, ethereal, gor-“
He was fairly certain the kiss was solely to stop him from talking, but he was happy to return it nevertheless.
She tasted sweet, like the berries they’d eaten for a snack earlier in the afternoon, and if sunlight had a taste, he imagined it would also taste like her.
“If you don’t get to cooking, I’ll take the Slate back,” Zelda warned with a poke to his chest.
“Alright, alright,” he replied with a laugh. He truly enjoyed cooking, but not even that could keep his mind off of the girl besides him, who was busy scribbling away in a journal. His thoughts always drifted to her. Her, and his love for her, and just how much they’d survived together.
And without thinking about it—well, it’d been on his mind, but he didn’t think before speaking:
“Would you ever want to get married?”
“Yes,” Zelda replied, too quickly and too casually for him to think she’d really heard him. He looked over to her with furrowed eyebrows, but she was staring right back with wide eyes, like she couldn’t believe it either. It took Link a minute to find his voice.
“Are you serious?” he asked in a voice just barely above a whisper.
“Are you?” she asked.
“Yes,” Link said with a nod, reaching for one of her hands. “Of course I am.”
“I— you do mean us, right? You would want to marry me?”
“Yes. Without hesitation.”
“Is this..?”
Link shook his head quickly.
“No! I mean, no, I just— I kind of want to.. plan something..? I mean, the princess of Hyrule deserves a grand proposal.”
Zelda’s cheeks were as red as a rose. He could imagine he looked very similar, with the way his heart was racing.
“You better not,” she said with a smile.
But he did. He spent the next few weeks planning a perfect proposal. It didn’t have to be a surprise, but he did want it to be special. Zelda was special, in so many different ways. She was so very special to him, and he wanted to convey that, but he was stumped.
Link didn’t want to put her on the spot in front of their friends or a crowd of any sort. He didn’t want to pressure her with grand gestures or gifts, but what else could he do?
He’d written and scratched out so many ideas.
Should he bring her to the Sanctum and make it the place of a happy memory instead of what it had become? Should he take her on vacation to Hateno and ask in the privacy and comfort of his house? Should he be clever about it and slip the ring into a book, or a journal, or on a guardian piece? Should he have a friend help him?
He tried asking said friends on their opinions, but he had pretty limited options. Riju was a child, and she’d take pleasure in sending him straight to a Voe and You class that he did not want to participate in. Yunobo didn’t seem like the type to talk to anyone, much less do something as outgoing as propose. It didn’t feel right to ask Sidon, even if he would give good advice. His best bet was Teba and Kass, or any of the families he’d come to know in Hateno.
Kass had suggested a song, but Link didn’t think he had a musical bone in his body outside of an appreciation for it. It would be a decent last resort, if anything.
So the days came and went, and he remained clueless, but the ring, carefully crafted in Gerudo Desert with diamonds and sapphires and emeralds, stayed in his pockets. Just in case.
“Could you pass the sugar?” asked Zelda from beside him. Hylia’s Day had come around again and three years after their first celebration full of friends, they were spending the day in solitude. He was trying, key word, trying to help her bake a fruit cake. The kitchen staff were hesitant to let them, but he managed to convince them.
Link used it as an excuse to hug her from behind and place the sugar in front of her.
“You’re ridiculous,” she said, but turned her head to kiss his cheek anyway.
“Careful not to use too much,” he warned, giving her a gentle squeeze. “It’ll be too sweet.”
“If I can put up with you, then I think I can handle a little ‘too sweet’.”
“I can’t tell if that’s a compliment or an insult.”
Zelda snorted and dumped the measured sugar into the bowl. Link hid his grin in her shoulder. He loved the way she laughed, and the way her nose scrunched up when she did.
“There. Now I can stir them all together, right?” she asked.
“Clever girl,” he replied with a kiss into her shoulder. She threw some flour into his hair, and he shook it off all over her shirt.
“Oh, you just wait until this is in the oven.”
“Is that a threat, my princess?”
“Absolutely.”
Though she didn’t need help pouring the cake batter, Link set his hands over hers and did it anyway. It was nothing more than an excuse to touch her, but she clearly didn’t mind.
“See? You’re a professional,” he said as he took the trays and slid them into the oven. She’d burned herself once, years ago, and he never let her touch it since.
“I can give up the crown and turn the castle into a bakery instead,” she replied, leaning against the counter with crossed arms. He shut the oven and set his hands on either side of her, trapping her where she stood.
“We could be Hyrule’s most successful sweet shop. Specialty is fruit cake, made by and for the former princess herself.”
“Maybe we’ll just run a side business.”
“Ah, Princess and army general by day, bakers by night.”
“Exactly.”
Link laughed and pressed a kiss to her forehead. Zelda brought her flour covered hands up and stuck them onto his cheeks.
“Why do you insist on starting a food fight with me?” he asked with a sigh, before sticking his hand in flour and dragging a finger down her nose, leaving her with a flour streak of her own.
“You’re cute when you’re covered in flour,” she replied before ducking out from under his arms and darting away from him. When he turned to grab her again, she tossed a handful of flour in his face. “See?”
“Princess of Hyrule, Daughter of Hylia, spends her day assaulting her escort with flour,” he said with a huff, then turned back to the counter to scoop up some flour of his own.
“Are you seriously pouting over it?” she asked. Now that she’d moved closer, he spun around and dropped the handful onto her head.
“You know me better than that,” he replied with a grin. Zelda let out a sound somewhere between a gasp and a scream, and Link took the opportunity to make a mad dash across the kitchen and out of her reach.
Maybe they should’ve cleaned up the ingredients when they were done, because Zelda grabbed an egg and chucked it in his general direction. He ducked, then darted to one side of the table. She took the other and mirrored every move he made with a grin of her own.
“Your aim is getting better,” he teased, nodding towards the splatter of egg on the wall. “But I will again offer training-“
“If you hadn’t ducked, it would’ve hit you!” she defended.
“A lovely Hylia’s Day gift that would’ve been. Egged by my princess.”
“I think it’s fitting!”
“I got you an empty kitchen and a day to try whatever you want, and you egg me!”
“Because you’re an egghead!”
“Unbelievable. She’s the Daughter of Wisdom and the best she can come up with is egghead.”
Zelda sputtered a response, then made a break for him. Instead of running in the opposite direction, like any sensible person, Link jumped clean over the table and waved with a smile.
“Ugh! Show off.”
“I could teach you,” he offered.
“I’m perfectly capable of jumping over a table on my own!”
“Prove it.”
Zelda glared at him, but it was filled with a playful love that made it hard to stop smiling. She pulled herself up onto the table with all the grace of a goddess blood princess, then scooted across it to meet him.
“Very impressive,” he teased, grabbing her by the waist to pull her close. She only rolled her eyes and stuck her fingers into his hair, effectively spreading more flour.
“High praise coming from you,” she said. Link only hummed and tilted his head to meet her in a quick kiss.
“Come on, let’s clean up a bit,” he replied as he scooped her up off of the table in a bridal hold, and she leaned her head against his shoulder.
“Yeah, we probably should.” But she’d tilted her head up and was pressing kisses along his neck.
“Are you trying to distract me?” he asked, glancing towards her with a lifted eyebrow.
“Now why would I do that?”
The warmth of her breath tickled his neck and, well, it was certainly working. He almost wanted to forget about cleaning their mess and instead give his full attention to Zelda, but his foot hit a pile of flour on the floor.
The wind was knocked out of him immediately upon impact with the floor, but no harm had come to Zelda, and that’s what mattered. He tried to laugh through the pain.
“Are you okay?!” she asked as she scrambled off of him and helped him sit up. He nodded, but she checked him over anyway. Only when he could breathe again did she relax, then burst into a fit of giggles. “You’re an idiot.”
“I’m being bullied by the love of my life,” Link said with a hint of exasperation as he dropped onto his back. Zelda leaned over him with a smile as soft as a cloud.
“Am I really?” she asked, running her fingers through his hair again.
“Of course,” he replied with a smile, lifting a hand to rest on her cheek. “You’re my sunshine.”
Zelda scoffed and shook her head, but Link took her free hand and pressed a kiss to her fingertips. Even covered in flour, she was absolutely divine. And she looked so happy that his heart could burst. He decided there was no moment he loved her more than when she was smiling at him, with a warmth in her eyes and a sweetness in her smile that was reserved only for him. He loved her most when she was happy. He couldn’t keep the smile from his face and the words from his mouth.
“I love you,” he said as he sat up, cupping her face with both hands. “So much. You are everything to me and I want to do all I can to make you happy, for the rest of our lives.”
“Link,” she replied, her voice choked full of emotion.
“I want to marry you, Zelda.”
Even though they’d had this discussion before, there were tears building in her eyes. She looked like she didn’t know what to say, so Link took the opportunity to dig into his pocket and pull out the velvet box. And right there, on the floor of the castle kitchen, covered in flour, Link opened the lid and revealed the ring. Zelda burst into tears and, goddesses, when she nodded, he let out a watery laugh. She tackled him backwards, burying her face in his shoulder, and he hugged her close.
“I love you,” Zelda said, and repeated it probably a hundred times over.
“I love you,” he answered, pressing a kiss to her head.
“Can we have fruitcake at our wedding?” she asked in a wobbly voice. Link laughed again and if he could hold her closer, he would’ve.
“We can have whatever you want.”
And a few hours later, when the future queen and Hyrule’s army general stepped out of the (now clean) kitchen covered in flour, hand in hand and glowing with a happiness that suggested they’d seen Hylia herself, no one questioned it. But their engagement was no secret, because the ring on their princess’s finger had the castle staff whispering excitedly to one another mere minutes after the couple was gone.
That very night, as Link watched Zelda fall asleep in his arms, he could swear he felt King Rhoam smiling down on them, and he thought he could hear Urbosa’s laughter echoing on the wind.
They would celebrate tomorrow, he decided. For now, he would be grateful for how their solitary Hylia’s Day had gone.
He must’ve been the luckiest man in the entire world.
“I’ll take care of her,” Link whispered into the night air, a quiet promise to all those who cared about her. She didn’t need his protection, but goddesses, she’s all he could’ve ever wanted.
To have the pleasure of falling in love with her over and over again, perhaps that was the greatest gift of all.

The reason aoc had no stakes is cuz even if we lost link would just take a nap and then wake up and murder ganon with a stick
Ok I recognize that this is a joke and I love you good job have a lil kiss *mwah* nice joke nice joke but also I am in MAJOR WRITING MODE which means that I am prompted to write essays on the storytelling process at the flip of a switch and buddy, pal, chum, mate, this is a major switch that has been flipped
Because it gets on my nerves, it’s one of my BIGGEST PET PEEVES of ALL TIME, I abso-fucking-lutely DESPISE, when people think that stakes is equivalent to life and death. I just hate it, it makes me seethe to no end. I could grip the clouds from the heavens, and my rage would make it rain upwards.
People who think stakes is just about winning or losing or living or dying, I will stake you, I will do violent crimes. You wanna know why those big superhero movies like Justice League and what not don’t work? It’s because it thinks that big giant death armies are meaningful stakes. You know stuff like Civil War, or hell even shows like Attack on Titan or Gravity Falls work? It’s because it’s stakes exist both externally and internally, and the consequences of actions exist beyond just living or dying or winning or losing.
Listen to me very closely. The reason Age of Calamity has no stakes, is because you don’t care about the characters. It’s not because of the timelines, or resurrections, or whatever whatever, no. It’s because you don’t care about the characters.
Now Ashshshshsh, yes you love your bird and fish husbands and wives very much ok yes I get that, I do too. BUT, BUT, when you look at this from the storytelling perspective, like thinking from the perspective of someone experiencing the story fresh for the very first time, with or without botw context. You did not care about the characters, you cared about the ending. That is why there are no stakes.
Why the fuck do you care if Teba dies? Like, sure, if Teba dies, you are sad, the character that you love is dead, you might even cry! But why do you care, what are the consequences of his death, what happens if he dies, what does he, on a character level lose?
What you’re typically supposed to do to get your audience to care, is establish a character, develop them, then give them a goal and a need to attain that goal, a good goal or motivation that affects a character both externally and internally, and then when the conflict or battle comes up, you’re left with that feeling of “oh no, I really hope this character wins, because otherwise, [insert something] happens, and I don’t want that.” That’s what stakes is, in very broad concept.
That’s why living and dying is a form of stakes, but it’s not the only one. “Oh no, this character is hurt, I really hope this character wins, because I like them, and I want them to live.” That’s you stakes. Same idea with winning and losing. “Oh no, this character is losing this volleyball match. I really hope this character wins, because they’ve worked hard to reach their goal, and I don’t want to see that go to waste.” Okay, great.
Now the PROBLEM is, those concepts are overdone to the point of extinction, like it’s arguable that the stakes of living and dying just doesn’t exist as a strong good form of stakes in media anymore. Whether by symptom of plot armour, of predictable writing, or the establishment of modern tropes and clichés, blah blah blah, you can’t solely rely on those ideas for stakes. ESPECIALLY in the realm, of video games. I don’t need to spell out the whole living and dying aspect of it right? And the winning and losing stakes goes out the window because that concept has an entirely different meaning and tone when the player is the one in control. Essentially what I’m saying here is, on a character level, you can’t rely on those ideas as a sense of stakes because it just doesn’t have meaning. But the thing is, Age of Calamity does rely on it. And it SOME aspects, it worked.
You have experience good stakes in this game before. You’ve probably done it on some crazy tough side mission or some interesting self-made quest to find yourself that last raw bird wing to finish up that upgrade. You yourself struggled, and understood the journey that you went through, the time that you invested to make yourself better (as big or small as it may be) at the game, and you eventually beat that level, or found that item. And you were genuinely relieved and happy. Whether you realized it or not, you were on the edge of your seat, intently focused on the task and “battle” at hand, you were invested in yourself, and the effects of the outcome of your struggle. That’s what good stakes does. That’s why so many videogames have impactful story telling.
But listen here, the reason you only experience those good stakes through the gameplay, is because you don’t need to put in the effort to care about yourself. You’re you! You know yourself, you played out your motivations and struggles. That all happens without the games help. So now the issue becomes, you need to emulate that same feeling for the story world and it’s characters. And Age of Calamity just puts in none of the meaningful work to get you care about the CHARACTERS on a CHARACTER LEVEL. It relies SOLEY on the work done by Breath of the Wild, with the exceptions of maybe Kohga and King Rhoam. And also Sidon is an exception in the sense that his relationship to his sister is a pretty decent stake (but tbh the bar is VERY LOW)
We’ve established how the stakes of winning or losing or living through a battle don’t have as much strength as motivations or stakes in this game. So, knowing that....Name Daruk’s motivation. Name a true and honest reason why Zelda shouldn’t die. And don’t tell me that “because it would make the other characters sad” because that is just a reaction to events (based on the characterization and writing work done by AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT GAME cause again Hwaoc doesn’t character develop for shit) being sad isn’t motivation, or stakes. Being sad is a normal human reaction to anything ever, it isn’t anything new, and by god it doesn’t inherently impact the world or story around you.
You know what would have been good stakes? If Age of Calamity developed the New Gen Champs a bit more and maybe one of them could say something like, “I feel it’s my duty to help stop the Calamity, because the fact that I time traveled here means that I have a big responsibility, and if we lose then I’m a failure in both this time and my own. So I need to step up to the plate that has been set for me” or something something. Or, and this is a big one, give ASTOR something to do (because stakes is inherently about CONFLICT and you can’t have good internal and external stakes when there is nothing to CONFLICT with the other characters) let Astor be like “This world doesn’t deserve to go on, humanity has made too many mistakes, I was abandonded as a child, the King murdered my mom, I need power to get revenge, or to revive some dead family member” blah blah blah pick one of the clichés but at least it would be SOMETHING. When motivations conflict, that’s what gets you to care about characters, because then it’s not just about living or dying, it about the effects of that death, or that loss. If this character dies, they died believing a lie, or believing they were a failure and I don’t want that. If this character is defeated, they won’t get another chance to save the people they care about, and I don’t want them living with regret. These two characters have sympathetic goals, and I can see the points that both sides have with their motivation, but I also like them so I don’t want them to die, oh no, what’s gonna happen.
If you don’t CARE about the characters, and their goals, if the only thing that’s keeping you awake at night about them living or dying is “I like them” then there is something wrong.
You didn’t finish Age of Calamity because of the characters, you didn’t finish it out of an honest desire to see these characters reach their goals. MAYBE there’s a connection you had for Zelda, but honestly compared to Breath of the Wild, it’s nothing. You finished Age of Calamity simply out of curiosity to see what happened at the end, to see what your efforts of gameplay lead up to. You had no actual character arcs to latch onto or care about, which means you had no expectations or desire to see how they would play out, no STAKES no INVESTMENT. Which means live, die, resurrect, or perma-death as you see, you’re not invested in the characters, your invested in the time you put into that media.

An Accidental Mating Ch. 13 (A Sidlink Omegaverse Story)
Chapter 13: So Close Yet So far
“I must insist that you let me into this town of yours at once,” Sidon said with a scowl on his face. “This is a dire matter that must be addressed with the chief.”
“I'm sorry sir, but we do not allow voe into our town. Even if they are of a different race,” the Gerudo guard said at the front gates.
“I am a prince,” he insisted, hoping that card would work in his favor but as Zelda had told him over and over in the carriage, it did not. On the way there she had told him to wait in the oasis just a few miles from Gerudo Town. It was the only place there that had access to water for him and his men, but also because voe were not allowed in the town.
She had told him she would try to have gotten Riju to come out with her but he had been so stubborn, wanting to explain the situation himself in hopes that it would be the one thing that would allow him inside.
It didn't work as Zelda had predicted.
“I'm sorry your highness but we must stand by our rule,” the other guard had said. “We do apologize for the inconveinence.”
Sidon let out a heavy sigh and turned away, struggling to storm away in the sands with his feet, wearing special shoes even. The sands were much too hot for his scales.
His eyes looked out into the vast desert. A cliffiside was the closest thing within eyesight and all Sidon could do was look at it.
Why was he drawn to that area? Perhaps it was just the heat that was getting to him. That had to be it. He needed the water.
Zelda had followed after him and crossed her arms, frowning at the prince as her eyes practically screamed “I told you so”.
“I told you it wasn't going to work,” she huffed at him, tapping her foot in the sand. “We need to get you back to the oasis so you can get into the water. You're going to dehydrate yoursef at this point and we need you.”
“I know I know,” Sidon sighed heavily, leaning his head back against the outside wall of the town. “I just had hoped that maybe it would be different given this is about Link and his well being...Goddess above, I hope he's alright.”
Zelda rest her hand on his arm a bit, a somber look coming across her face. “I hope so too. He's very strong and able to figure things out. I know he's been in different situations that have been much worse than this but...”
Sidon didnt need her to say it. He knew what she was getting at. He hadn't been pregnant before. The Yiga clan could use their baby against him to get what they wanted.
“He may have been in worse situations princess,” Sidon sighed, looking out to the cliffside again despite still not knowing why. “But he had not been pregnant then. He didn't have another person relying on him.”
Zelda bit her lip and shifted uncomfortably in place. They both felt powerless. They didn't know where Link could be until they spoke to Riju.
“I can try to get her out to the oasis but...” she sighed.
“Once you mention the Yiga clan they will not let her out of their sight,” Sidon finished. “I know. They would do the same to me if I was younger.”
Zelda sighed and looked to the walls of the town. “We both need to get into there. The two of us telling all the details to her will help immensly but...that policy of no men is a problem. There has to be a way to get you in. ”
“How did Link even get in there in the first place?” Sidon asked. “He had to have done something to get past those guards.”
“Do you by chance mean the champion of hyrule?” came a sultry voice from nearby. Sidon's gold eyes turned to look at whom it was.
A gerudo woman with her face covered in a purple viel stepped forward, mysterious eyes peeking out at the two of them.
“Yes, we were actually,” Zelda said. “I know men aren't allowed into the town but, do you know of a way that we can get the prince inside?”
“Of course,” she said with a small giggle which had Zelda smiling a little bit, catching onto her little secret she was hiding behind the mask. “You go in the same way the champion of Hyrule was able to get in, time and time again.”
Zelda thought on it a bit and then her eyes widened. She pulled out the sheikah slate and scrolled through the pictures, finding one of Link dressed in a similar outfit as this woman was wearing, though his outfit was a teal color.
“Like this,” Zelda said, showing Sidon the picture. The prince looked at it and flushed darkly at the sight of his mate in such a revealing outfit.
“My, what an outfit,” Sidon said, looking away from the screen to try to compose himself. Maybe in the future when Link was safe he could ask to see such an outfit. He did wonder why he hadn't ever heard of it before.
“Do you think you can find one that would fit him?” Zelda asked the woman. The woman smiled beneath her mask which reched her eyes easily.
“Of course I can scrounge something up. Perhaps add a little make up to make him look a little pink to fool the guards into beliving he's female,” she said with confidence. “Oh yes, by the time I'm done with him everyone will be in awe.”
Sidon stared between the two women until it clicked of what it was that they wanted to do to him to get him into the town.
“No,” Sidon said quickly. “I am not dressing as a woman. And Zoras dont wear clothes. There has to be another way for me to get inside.”
“Sidon, this is the quickest way to get inside. It worked for Link, I don't see why it wouldn't work for you,” she said to him.
Sidon looked down at her and then at the woman who's eyes seemed to sparkle in excitement about being able to dress the prince. He let out a heavy sigh. He really didn't see any other way that they could get into the town to talk to the the child chief.
“Alright, fine,” he sighed heavily.
The woman clapped and grabbed hold of his arm, dragging him away from the town back towards a tent that was in the back of the town.
Zelda had to hold in her giggles as she followed, waiting patiently outside the tent as Sidon was prepared to get ready to go into the town.
After several miutes, as well as several protests from the prince, he emerged from the tent dressed in a garment similar to the one that the woman had been wearing, though his was a deeper purple tone to the garment.
Zelda's eyes widened at the sight. She had sprinkled pinkish dust along Sidon's body giving him a pink hue, even putting in hydromelons into the top of the outfit to give him the illusion of a more feminine body.
His face was covered with a veil that matched the rest of the outfit but Zelda could till clearly see how embrassed he was with how flushed he was.
“Well Sidon, I got to say you do make one beautiftul Zora,” Zelda complimented which seemed to make him flush even more.
“He is goregeous isn't?” the woman asked with a giggle. “This should get you into the town with no issues. Though I will dare say that they will end up looking at you anyway. There isn't anything I can do for his height.”
“That's alright,” Zelda said, pulling her hair back a bit and held her bag. “I'm going to go get myself changed as well. But what can we do to repay you for it?”
“Oh, nothing princess,” the woman said with a smile behind her mask. “Hearing that the champion of hyrule was in need of aid, this was the first thing I could think of to help. He was a very nice young man and whatever he's going through, I just hope he's alright.”
Zelda smiled softly and nodded. “As do we. All we can hope for is that he's safe.”
Sidon nodded his head a little. “He is my mate and carrying my child. I can only hope that they dont harm either of them.”
*
“I hope you don't show Link those pictures,” Sidon sighed from behind his veil, nodding his head to the women he passed. They gazed up at him, whispering among them of how beautiful the “pretty Zoran woman” was. “In fact I actually hope you delete those.”
Zelda giggled softly, leading him through the town towards the main building at the other side. “Oh come now Sidon, I think he would think you were cute.”
“This is not cute. Alpha's don't wear clothes like this,” Sidon said with a heavy sigh, keeping his head down as he was suggested to do. He didn't want to bring any unwatned attention to himself. Not when they were on an important mission.
“That's not true. Haven't you smelled the other alphas around here? They're wearing these sort of outfits,” Zelda corrected. Sidon took a quick glance around. Sure enough he could pick out each scent of each alpha, beta, and omega. Their first gender were all women, but their second gender varied everywhere.
It was curious as to why they kept men out but then again he knew he should respect the different culture.
“Alright I take that back,” he stated. “But what about princes. Princes don't wear things like these and embarrass themselves.”
“Wrong again. When you marry Link he would be a prince,” Zelda laughed. “And he would wear one of these.”
Sidon threw his hands up in the air with a sigh. “I'm just uncomfortable then.”
Zelda pat his arm. “I get it. I won't tell him. I promise. Now let's go talk to Riju. I just hope she has more information on the Yiga Clan's hideout.”
Thankfully they were granted an audience with her as Zelda spoke for them, revealing who she was. That had done the trick.
“Welcome Princess Zelda,” Riju said from her throne, hopping off of it and approached the princess, taking her hands in hers. Zelda smiled down at the young girl and squeezed her hands. “It's so great to see you again.”
“It is Riju,” she said warmly, letting go when Buliara cleared her throat. The smaller girl settled onto her throne again with a playful roll of her eyes but motioned for cushions to be brought for her guests to sit on.
Sidon struggled at first and then settled down.
“What do I owe the pleasure of a visit from the princess of hyrule and the prince of the zora?” Riju asked, casting knowing eyes to Sidon who flustered darkly underneath his veil.
“How did you...?”
“I may be young but I am quite persceptive,” Riju said with a small laugh. “I was able to see right through Link's disguise as well. I have to admit the melons are a nice touch.”
Sidon sighed heavily as Zelda broke into a soft laugh with Riju. It even got a chuckle out of Buliara which she quickly hid with a cough.
“Speaking of Link, where is he? I had thought he'd be with the two of you,” Riju said, settling her hands in her lap.
All of the smiles faded quickly and Sidon's eyes cast down to the stone floor.
“He was taken from us,” Sidon explained. “We have no idea where he is. He absolutely is in grave danger..”
“Taken?” Riju asked quickly. “By who?”
“The Yiga,” Zelda said softly. “I saw a yiga clan member knock him unconcious and disappear into a puff of smoke.”
Riju looked up to Buliara a moment and then sighed as she adressed her guests once more.
“I was afraid this would happen,” she said softly.

so i just beat age of calamity and wanted to gather my thoughts in a post, feel free to ignore
spoilers of course, so please be aware~
so despite what other people are saying, i really enjoyed the game! i don’t think it’s as good as botw of course, but it was very fun and enjoyable!
i admit i was, and still am a bit, disappointed that it wasn’t a prequel like they told us it would be. in fact in the beginning i was really against them making it an AU, but after finishing it i didn’t really mind it! it’s a fun au, and they stayed true to the original vibes of BOTW. and part of me is glad i didn’t have to watch the champions die bc i honestly would be so emotional
i know alot of people are also upset because it makes the whole loz timeline even crazier, but personally i’ve never really cared about the timeline. it’s not really important, imo, it very rarely ever affects the story of each game (save for the ones that are direct sequels like oot and mm). i just don’t find it important to enjoying the zelda universe, cause each game/group of games is it’s own stand alone story. its ok for things to just be for fun sometimes, like having link in mario kart. yeah it doesn't make sense in universe but that’s ok, it’s fun. it’s a video game
as for the storyline in aoc not making sense, yes there are some obvious plotholes (how was kohga alive both in aoc and botw, is he immortal?? i don’t know). but it’s a spin off game, the point of it was to just make the fans happy and give us fun content while we wait for the next actual installment, so i’m ok with that. and i’m ok with how cheesy it was, cause sometimes having cheesy storylines is just good for the soul. idk, in the end i just feel like sometimes its ok to have things that are just fun and enjoyable. and it’s fun to have an official “everyone lives” au. as long as botw 2 follows the actual timeline then i don’t mind~
for the most part i really adored the characterization of everyone (some complaints about revali’s characterization but that’s pretty much it), i was originally really worried about them messing it up.
zelda was the one i was worried about the most, i was VERY scared they would mess up her characterization, but they really went above and beyond my expectations with her. she was kind and strong and badass and just everything i could ever have hoped for. her story was heartbreaking but seeing her persevere and fight was just everything i wanted. i was however sad that we didn’t get to expand on her friendship with each of the champions, but it was still good.
link’s characterization was good, but we didn’t get a whole lot story for him, i really wanted to see more about his life, like his family life, and interactions with the champions. so could have done more, but it was good
i loved how urbosa was written in particular, i was so happy to see her go mom mode for both zelda and riju. all of her motherly moments were so heartwarming, and god she was such a fucking badass. i’m disappointed we didn’t get to learn more about her relationship with the queen of hyrule, but that’s alright in the end
mipha’s characterization was pretty much the same as it was in botw, she was very sweet yet strong and protective, i loved it
daruk’s characterization was super fun, i wish we got to see him and link interact more, but i ADORED that one scene they had together of daruk making link eat some rocks. what a king, i love their friendship so much
i’m disappointed with revali’s characterization in the game. i personally love revali, but he was written much better in botw. in botw they showed a softer side of him, showed his weakness to us. like yes he was an asshole, but in botw we see he uses that as a sort of defense mechanism to cope with his own self doubt and struggles. of the four champions he is the only one who is shown having to work to get his powers to work correctly, and he’s shown failing at it and being hard on himself. however in aoc they made it seem like he had everything down naturally and had no struggles. they also ignored his softer side that cares about the other champions even if he is too stubborn to admit it (getting worried about link when fighting windblight, speaking to zelda gently after her powers won’t awaken, etc). yet in aoc they just ignored all that and played up the whole “asshole” persona way too much. i was really hoping to see more of his soft side, especially after being saved from windblight. oh well, i still love him as a character despite how they messed up.
so yeah the common theme is i wish we got to see them interact and be friends more, but it was still good!
as for the story, i really loved it. i’m a sucker for cheesy stuff, so when the new champions showed up and saved the old champions i was an emotional mess, especially with mipha and sidon. i also LOVED how the story showed the king of hyrule how we was wrong about zelda, and showed how strong and capable zelda is despite how he treated her. seeing her lead the army to victory...bro that got me. and the egg turning out to be zelda’s creation? god that’s so cool, she really be out there making her own guardian as a small child, what a queen. and the part where the king sternly told link to get zelda to safety even if it meant he (the king) would die,..... ough... my heart
personally i found astor kinda boring and unmemorable (had to look up his name cause i didn’t even remember) but i don’t really mind cause i enjoyed the rest of the story so much
uhh this is getting very long and my brain is not working so i’ll stop here for now but yeah! i just wanted to write down my initial thoughts. i’m very satisfied with how the game turned out~

ok normally i dont like looking at leaks but i couldnt help myself with age of calamity and so i watched all the cutscenes as a movie and i have thoughts (heavy spoilers ahead obvs)
oooooooohhhhhhhhh my god. look i dont even care that they retconned botw’s canon getting that happy ending was awesome. like yea im disappointed that its more of a fantasy version than what actually happened but also i didnt have to watch all the champions die horribly and alone so i think its a good trade off. it was kinda expected cause the warriors games arent actually direct canon but whatever. im still absolutely gonna get it once i get a switch (god knows when that will be) but im excited for the gameplay. the demo looked fun, and the story is pretty fun too tbh so im gonna love playing it for myself. i definitely wanna check out all the boss fights, especially the final few
the champions of the future coming back in time to help the champions of the past was a great touch and yes i cried like a baby during miphas section. she gets to see her baby brother all grown up :’) also when sidon shows up going “no you cant take her again” my heart shattered. theres definitely a split timeline cause the future champions obviously mean that the real calamity happened, and they acknowledge that in their future the champions are gone (nintendo came to my house and killed me instantly with the zora stuff i swear to god) them then getting sent back to their own future aka the doomed one was kinda bittersweet cause like they get to see and assist in a victory but they dont actually get to keep that happy ending so its like F
the fortune teller dude never got a name i think, but he wasnt too remarkable tbh. there wasnt really any backstory about who he was and how he was related to all this and how he even came to be working with the yiga clan. or how he got a hold of the corrupted egg guardian/how it ended up corrupted in the first place. so that was a little disappointing but since he died at the end im assuming he doesnt have any importance in actual canon so it was probably just “we need a mastermind behind it all and kohga aint it” kohga realizing that he was on the wrong side and joining the good guys was nice imo. after seeing the fortune teller literally rip the fucking souls out of the yiga members (that was fuuuuuucked up) he knew he messed up and had to help stop what was put in motion. i know most people dont like 180s for villains but i like them so.
holy shit this calamity ganon form was so much cooler than the base game!! like damn dude we couldve had it all but instead we got fucking macgyvered frankenstein spider shit. this form looked so much better, it had the signature hooves and was mostly humanoid like ganondorf or bipedal beast ganon. the red hair was there and the way it was styled i got major demise vibes which is awesome, it kinda feeds into the theories of this ganon and what we saw in the sequel trailer
i still hate the king tho. we at least got him admitting to zelda that he was being an ass but the flashback with the egg guardian having been built/repaired by young zelda and shared with her mother then being taken away by the king seemingly right after her mother passed away (basically the equivalent of taking a childs comfort toy away saying “youre too old for this/this is garbage”) and i will never forgive him for that. no amount of apologizing could make up for how he treated her, especially from such a young age after experiencing the death of her freaking mother. like i get youre grieving and have to prepare your kingdom for a huge threat but maybe have some compassion for your daughter? maybe? just a little??
the way zelda awakened her powers in this story was great too. still happened cause she wanted to protect link but her refusing to run and leave him to die so she can live hit right in the feels. despite having no fighting skills or powers she wanted to act instead of run. anyways i love and stan this incarnation of zelda
overall it was a very epic feeling story and im pretty pleased with it despite the changes they made. i knew not to take it too seriously from the start, its just a fun button mashing game where you take out hordes of enemies at once but set in the old hyrule. i cant wait until i can play it for myself

Fanfic Progress Update 37
Hellllllo, it’s time for an update! And an exciting one it is, this time around : D Also, stay tuned for the end of this post for a spoiler-y glimpse into the next chapter of Adventure Gone Mini!
Current WIPs:
Adventure gone Mini Fandom: Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild / The Minish Cap Summary: Sidon is given his very own Sheikah Slate, the first replica Purah has managed to make, and sets out to travel with Link with the intention of registering warp points for convenient travel in the future. However, when a malfunction shrinks them down to the size of bugs, and they meet little people called the Minish, they have to change their plans from “fun adventuring” to “getting out of this mess”. Not that those two have to exclude one another. Link/Sidon. Progress: Chapter 30 is the current latest chapter and was posted on 6th of November. Chapter 31 has been started and is scheduled for 27th of November.
I update this fic every three weeks on Wednesdays. —– Rolling with it (work name) Fandom: Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Summary (temporary): Link is put into a tough situation while trying to communicate with Revali and finding out he doesn’t understand sign language, so he decides to roll with the punches and actually mime and show emotions this once. Turns out Revali is (slightly) less of an asshole when he understands the reason behind Link’s quietness. Link/Revali. Progress: 3 chapters done, chapter 4 is about 3/4th done. No idea how long this will be, but definitely not as long as Mini. No progress since last update. I intend to start posting this once Adventure Gone Mini is finished. If I decide to write the semi-planned sequel for Mini, it obviously goes before this. —–
Possibly worth staying for (work name, may change)
Fandom: She-Ra and the Princesses of Power
Summary (temporary): A what-if of Episode 19, “Light Spinner”. Catra begs for Shadow Weaver to stay, but is as easily manipulated as ever to help her escape instead. But what if Shadow Weaver had a teensy bit of actual affection towards her after all?
Progress: This is currently drabble-sized and I could call it done and leave it open-ended, if I wanted to (or if I lose interest). But it hasn’t yet reached its full potential, so for now it’s unfinished and I’ll probably get back to it when I have the time to re-watch the rest of the episodes and watch the new ones. The aim is for this to be a oneshot, and a pretty short one at that. No progress since last update.
—–
No Touchy (work name, may change)
Fandom: Hazbin Hotel
Summary (temporary): Ace propagandaaargh! : D Angel Dust takes notice of the fact that Alastor is not getting laid, and figures he should be a good friend and fix the situation. Namely by seducing Alastor himself. Alastor is not amused. Angel Dust/Alastor (kinda) ... this is actually not a comedy fic, not fully anyway, despite this summary. Hence why it’s a temporary one.
Progress: 2 chapters out of 3 have been written. I’ll start posting this once the last chapter is finished, and likely pace it out by posting every other day.
—–
All The Fluff I Can’t!! (...very temporary work name, will definitely change)
Fandom: Hazbin Hotel
Summary (temporary): Husk, unfortunately, knows Alastor better than anyone. And is, apparently, actually considered a very good friend of his; no joke. Thus, he is the person Alastor goes to when things are... bad. Husk&Alastor, no ship (though feel absolutely free to wear your shipping goggles).
Progress: Oneshot, finished. However, my own rule is that I need to sleep on my fics and give them one last editing round with fresh eyes, so I can’t post this yet. I’ll probably post it tomorrow! Yay!
—–
Other WIPs I’m not currently working on but intend to get back to someday: PoE Drabbles (Pillars of Eternity) DC Drabbles (Justice League) Diaphanous Relations (Forgotten Realms, R.A. Salvatore’s books) —– That’s it for the WIPs! Here’s your regularly scheduled sneak peek into the next chapter of Adventure Gone Mini. It’s from the beginning of the chapter. (Note: the text may end up slightly different in the fic itself due to more editing happening before publishing). Enjoy!
"Uh, apprentice?" Sidon asked inelegantly, looking really out of his element for once. Link couldn't blame him.
"Yes", Mageri said, and walked over to them. He held up his hand, palm up, towards Sidon, who blinked at it uncomprehendingly a few times, until he finally, uncertainly, held out his own hand in a similar pose. Mageri grabbed a gentle hold of it with both of his own hands and examined it curiously. "Like I said, your sister was a genius. It's not typical to manifest your powers in such a way when you're still a child, much less learn to control them even if you do. That's why you couldn't learn the spell when you were the same age; you certainly have the power, but you're not a genius. Like most people, you simply had to wait the regular time and then you would need a competent teacher to show you how it's done. Only geniuses learn practically on their own or with haphazard guidance."
That’s it this time. See you next Saturday!

Tell me anything about a random au you have I'm bored
Okay!
Legend of Zelda: BOTW AU it is!
This does include the OCs of my wonderful girlfriend. I won't go into too much detail of their Splatoon counterparts here but if you wanna know more about them, ask! She's given me permission to share them so long as I give credit!
Her OCs are Watersplat, Cloud, and D1git, btw!
So, here we go!
I've added some custom rolls so we all everyone. So, here!
Watersplat is our hero, link! She doesn't remember.. pretty much anything, but she's an excellent fighter who will probably punch you if you look at her funny.
Vintage is a sword spirit (like, a mix of Fi and Ghirahim), with the ability to change the sword he's bound too. Also he kinda likes Watersplat-
Skull's a twili. He lived in the human world for a while, then encountered Watersplat and decided to travel with her
Rider's the descendant of the Hero of Twilight. Yes this is just so he can transform into a wolf.
Goggles is... well, he was the protector of the triforce, but since he no longer needs to do that, he's traveling in a mortal form. He's like a dragon kid cause of that
Army is a descendant to Revali. At some point in his life, Revali had a kid. and after a while, that line had a child with a Hylian, producing Army. He looks... mainly Hylian, but his arms are more wing-like, with feathers. He can't exactly fly right though, requiring a brace to do that, which is still being made when they meet him. He of course has Revali's gale and is an expert marksman.
Aloha is a Zoran Prince, being Sidon's twin (not identical, mind you). He got Mipha's healing powers, but couldn't really get the hang of them until way later. He's a pink shark boi, looking more like Mipha, but with Sidon's height. He's... surprisingly good at spears and tridents, and lowkey has a crush on Army
Mask acts as a descendant of Daruk, but he's not exactly a Goron? I personally like the idea that Gorons just spring up from Rocks, and get adopted by other Gorons to be their parents. Mask was... well, a sickly kid-his parents killed by the Yiga Clan-, but he was taken in by Gorons, who treated him as their own kin. He's cared for and eventually, he.. becomes kinda goron like. He's pretty tough, naturally fireproof, and can do a lot of the things normal Gorons can do, He gains Daruk's protection after Rudania is tamed Daruk admires his spirit and grants him it.
Cloud is a Gerudo Princess! She's Riju's sister, and got the thunder abilities of Urbosa. She's VERY kind and doesn't like to fight, but can get very defensive of her friends and family. She also really likes animals and has and cares for multiple pet sand seals.
Emperor and Prince are Sheika engineers, working for the two labs to develop new guardian and ancient tech. Emperor works at Akala, specializing in weapons and tools, and Prince works at Hateno, working on xyr own inventions and upgrades. Xe originally worked at Akala, but was relocated to Hateno, where xe met D1git! She's a fellow Sheika engineer, though she mainly researches guardians.
Gloves and Regent are Yiga clan members. Regent actively tries to steal from and harm his siblings, and... Gloves is more of a ninja. They're an unwilling member but it's all they've ever known. Gloves was kidnapped from a young age to serve under Master Kohga. They do get a safe way out upon meeting Emperor, but still. Not cool, Yiga clan-

Bonded Chapter 1
Author’s Note: This was a story or a premise that has been stuck in my head for a week while I was working on my manuscript. The story takes place post-Calamity Ganon. If you haven’t read around the Internet, there is a theory that Breath of the Wild converges the three timelines converge or this takes place in the Child timeline so, I’m taking advantage of it. Also, if you haven’t played Breath of the Wild, do so before reading.
Disclaimer: I don’t own any of the Legend of Zelda franchise. It belongs to Nintendo and Shigeru Miyamoto. Please don’t sue! I only create OOCs!

Chapter 1: A Quiet Wail
To stay for once that Prince Sidon was perplexed by his situation was an understatement. One moment he was lounging near Van Ruta, the next minute, a black hole opens and something big and black falls from the sky. He, nor none of his soldiers knew what to do at first until the black figure stood, and tiny wail could be heard. “Your highness?” asked a solider
Prince Sidon nodded and got to his feet, grabbing his silver spear. If Bokoblins were using magic, it was his job to stop them. Still, after Calamity Ganon died, there should be no lingering dark magic, but this creature proved him and Princess Zelda. As the trio went to attack the creature, a Lizalfos appeared form the ground and began its attack. A shiver ran up Sidon’s spine as he saw the glowing yellow horn. “Fall back!” he yelled
The sharp pain that surged through his body made his scream as he and his men were attacked with lightning. A zora would die in a matter of seconds from a lightning attack, yet he and his men didn’t. Before he fell to unconsciousness, he saw something sharp and black in his field of vision.
“Highness!Higness!”
Prince Sidon took a deep breath and sat up quickly. Maybe, too quickly, considering the room spun for a moment. A blue, female Zora sighed as she sat down. He looked around, realizing he was in the healer’s den. “Elrora?”
“Thank Hylia. You were groaning in your sleep.” “Where am I? What happened?”
“When you didn’t come back after sunset, the King got worried and sent for more soldiers. You, Rivan, and Tottika are lucky to be alive.” “Did they mention a creature?” “There were remains of a lizalfos, but no other creature. But, there was a strange wall of flint between you and the dead creature.” “Flint?” “Yes, a very large wall. The cobblers are going to have a field day with this.”
“But did the soldiers mention anything else? “Nothing of value. The most important thing is that the three of you are alive. Your father would be devastated if something were to happen to you.” The prince sighed and then gave his usual grin. His body did still feel as if it were on fire, but he still wanted to find out what that creature was.
Link sighed as he looked at the bottom of Zora river. The blue lanterns lighting the way towards the kingdom. Unlike when he first was here, there were no monsters on the road, at least not now. There was no rain, and it seemed very peaceful. Epona huffed and he patted her mane. “Do you think they would be alright with us dropping by?”
Link gave small smile to Paya. His new wife worked hard after Calamity Ganon’s defeat to get rid of her stuttering. Now, they were married and all Link wanted to do was travel and show his new wife the world around her. Considering everything that happened, he wasn’t surprised that she never left Kakariko Village. Link gave a small smile and signed: [Prince Sidon is one of my dearest friends. He will be overjoyed to see us, and so will the king.]
Paya nodded but said nothing else as they headed up the trail. She could see why he was eager to come to this domain. It was very beautiful, and she could see the fish jumping in the water. The beautiful, purple coral swayed back and forth in the wind. Her thoughts ended, however, once she heard something whiz past her ear. An Octorok decided to rear it’s ugly head and began its attack. Link motioned for her to stay put as he pulled out an arrow. He had to time it carefully, considering how Otoroks always hid if they knew they were about to be attacked. When her husband destroyed the creature, she grimaced as he took the innards from the creature. No matter how she explained it, she would never get used to it. When the wind blew, she thought she heard the wail of a baby, but she shrugged it off as nothing.
As soon as they reached the summit, a few Zora guards waved at them. One Link quickly recognized was Bazz. “Champion Link, what brings you you this domain?”
[I’m showing my wife one of the many places I’ve visited on my adventures.] Paya blushed and looked down. Bazz gave an elated smile and chuckled. “I’m happy for you, my friend. Come, King Dorephan and Prince Sidon would be honored to have you.”
As they rode while Bazz swam, Link looked around curiously at all the soldiers that were standing at attention. [Did something happen?]
“Lizalfos. They’ve been attacking lately. I’m surprised you didn’t see any at the bottom of the summit.”
“We saw an Octoroc or two.” Said Paya
Bazz nodded and rubbed his chin. “First the weird black hole, then the surprise Lizalfos attack, and now this. Something doesn’t add up.”
[Weird black hole?] signed Link
“Right before Prince Sidon and I were attacked, there was strange thing…almost like a hole in the sky and this black creature appeared. Then we got attacked by a Lizalfos who could wield lightning. I don’t remember much afterwards.”
Paya looked at her husband and his lips were pursing and she sighed. She knew she was going to be staying in Zora’s Domain for longer than what he said a few days ago. She loved her husband, but she knew he would help anyone in need, no matter how long it takes. He was the hero, and she loved that about him. But, there were times when she wished he would allow others to do the heroics.
Prince Sidon gave a hug so tight that Link thought that his limbs would be crushed. “So excited to see you my friend!” He said, “And who is this?”
[This is my lovely wife Paya.]
Said woman squeaked as Prince Sidon gave his exited grin, sharp teeth gleaning. He was about to give her a hug when Link elbowed him. He caught himself doing something that he did to Princess Zelda, and needless to say, the woman wasn’t happy with him for a while. King Dorephan chuckled as he sat atop his throne. “It’s wonderful for you find some happiness, Link. Now if my own son would.” “Father.” Blushed Sido,”I told you I’ll find a wife-“
“When you’re ready. I understand. Though, I’m not going to get any younger, I would like see a grandchild before I die.” “Father!”
Link snickered at his friend, who seemed to be blushing as hard as his skin color. Paya giggled at the exchange and could notice for the corner of her eye a number of Zora women blushing as well. [I was hoping to give my wife a tour of the domain, maybe with your son.]Link signed
“A good idea.” Said King Dorephan, “Young lady, I would be honored to open our doors to the wife of such a great champion.”
Paya bowed and then looked around the throne room. It was enormous, large ceilings to fit the king, with intricate colors of silver, white, and blue. She wondered if this place could hold as much people as Hyrule Castle did.
Rumblings of thunder and lightning made the Zora freeze. They looked to the skies and began running inside the large structure that made up the domain. Link looked at the sky as it turned black and ash began floating outside. Link reached to touch the ash, and it crumbled by its touch. A mysterious black hole appeared, and a long hand came out of it. Soldiers readied their spears for an attack as the hand slammed down into the river. From there, blackened eels poured from the oozing skin into the water. As screams were heard, Link motioned for his young wife to stay put as he pulled out a traveler’s sword. She merely nodded as she stayed behind. “Don’t worry Lady Paya.” Started Muzu, “Your husband will come back safely.” “Just Paya, please.”
The girl still had to get used to having a title. Princess Zeld demanded the title, but she wondered if it was even necessary. She did nothing compared to her husband.
The waters of Zora’s River were saturated by black eel-like creatures that latched onto whatever seemed to be in their path, zora or non. Bazz could only watch in horror as the eels latched on and turned his men into a grotesque form of themselves. Bodies terribly elongated and claws longer than the King Dorephan’s. They snarled with green saliva that boiled on the ground. The creatures that were once his men growled and began chasing him with bright red eyes. Using non-lethal attcks, he pushed one back into the water while hitting another over the head with a non-lethal blow. However, this blow gave an opportunity to the eel-like creature to latch on his arm. He cried out as a burning sensation coursed through his veins. His arm painfully elongated and began to contort itself against his will. As he began to grotesquely transform, he could only think of his wife and child.  “Bazz!” cried a voice
He looked at both Ling and Prince Sidon as they were fighting through hordes of enemies. Bazz tried to call to them, but only a roar came out. He tried to craw, limbs burnng as he did. Link was bitten on his neck and he fell quickly. Sidon didn’t fare much better as two latched onto him.
As the world began to turn black, he heard the chiming of bells. Bazz began breathing again as he saw the creature that was biting him writhe on the ground in agony. When he looked up, he could see the creatures receding from his men, as they looked disoriented. The eel-like creatures began to writhe and turn to stone as they detached. The hand, however, was still in the water, still slowly emitting a purple liquid. A younger soldier got close the water and began gasping for air causing another two to pull him out. As the poison began to spread, Bazz ordered all Zora soldiers out of the water and for to spread the word across the domain. Link pulled out his sword to dip in the water as lightning began to strike. Zorans began to shiver in fear at what this meant. The ground rumbled under them as bony hands emerged. Creatures long dead began to awaken. “How is this possible?” asked Prince Sidon, “Calamity Ganon has been destroyed!”
A cackling could be heard as lightning began to strike. Link pushed both Bazz and Sidon out the way as it struck the ground. Zoran soldiers began running for shelter. Some didn’t make it in time. Lighting in struck Link in the back, but he just curled up a bit. Sidon shook Link to try and awaken him, but the hero stayed curled. Lighting flashed again and Bazz looked up at the sky. He tried to shield his prince, but the lightning never came. Instead, a figure cloaked in black stood before the, silver staff jingling a bell. A shield engulfed them as the creature stood. “What?” he asked
<<Begone!>>yelled the creature
The silver staff’s bell chimed again as it shone brightly. It was then raised as it was stuck in the ground. Bazz had his hand on his staff and so did Sidon, but they then let go. The creature was a pale-skinned woman with red eyes. Prince Sidon felt something flutter in his gut as he looked at her. She wasn’t tall, she was shorter than Link, hair was a fiery red color, and her skin was a pale color, with splotches of black. Her attire wasn’t much, just a gray dress, and slung around her was a child. The black cloak had a strange symbol on it, chained with a silver chain. She kneeled down, carefully swaddling the baby slung on her. <<You have to light this deadly poison on fire before it spreads.>> she said
Both Sidon and Bazz looked at her strangely. She spoke again, but they didn’t understand her. Link struggled to sit up and her eyes widened at the slate on his hip. She touched Link’s hand <<Warrior of the Sheikah, please help me!>>
Link looked at her curiously and then at the two Zora. [I can’t understand you.] he signed
Her eyes widened and she sat back for a moment. [Can you understand me now?]she signed
Link nodded, and so did the two Zora. [There isn’t much time. You must light that purple poison on fire or it’ll spread. This is a deadly disease.]
[Who are you?]
[My identity is not a concern right now. Stand back.]
The three obeyed as she stared at the ground and extended her hand. Flint began to appear from the ground. She then gasped and fell to one knee. The shield began to diminish a bit as lightning struck. [Hurry. My magic is limited.]
Link carefully hacked off pieces of flint and threw it into the water. He wished that he brought fire arrows. Then again, this was supposed to be a relaxing trip. The thunder got worse as the hand tried to move. The woman jingled her bell again to keep it still, making her fall to her knees. Link worked quickly with the Zoras to put the flint in the water. Thanks to the lightning, it lit on fire quickly, causing the hand to squirm. It then receded back into the hole it came from as it solidified. The hole began to disappear, and the hole began to close up. Nobody celebrated the victory though, as there were casualties. Prince Sidon looked back at the woman, who was gasping and holding the child in her arms. Link walked over, handing her an elixir. She squinted her eyes and shook her head in a negative way. [My weakness will pass.]she signed
[This elixir will not harm you or your baby.]
[This child is not my son. He is Prince Lin, son of Queen Mana of the Twili. I am his bodyguard Warrior Priestess Saphira.]

Link and the Zora
So this series of headcanons is going to discuss a little bit about Link’s relationship with each of the champions, but only as a basis to discuss how he approaches the different peoples of Hyrule both before and after the Calamity.
Before I get started, I will say since we have quite a bit more for the relationship between Mipha and Link, this headcanon on the relationship between Link and Mipha, the Zora champion will probably be a bit longer just because I have quite a bit more canon to pull from.
Link has been visiting the Zora since he was really young. It was more or less a second home if he needed it. He had friends there. I want to point out that Mipha and Link are not the same age, she is likely quite a few years older than him, though they are probably the same age maturity wise. Such as how Sidon is probably equivalent to an eighteen year old when we meet him if that makes sense.
Link spends much of his time in the Zora domain as a child, they probably have one of the stronger relationships with the Hylians if I’m completely honest. Anyways he spends his childhood there, he plays games with the kids. He is healed by Mipha. This all affects how he sees and views them.
One thing I have noticed in my play through of the game is that the Zora are very forward not necessarily in the same way that the Gorons are. But they are forward with saying things, and admitting things. Post Calamity they have no issue trying to get Link to the Domain simply because Prince Sidon asked. They also have no issue showing their disgust and distaste for Link. And while Link technically still has friends in the Domain from his childhood, I have no doubt that they are better at hiding their feelings than the elders.
The Zora’s being so forward with their affection and ways is a bit odd for Link because whether he has the Master Sword or not, whether its before or after the Calamity he is not like that. Yes he is reckless and free, or the stoic knight, but he is not one to just admit feelings and such. He’s also a bit dumb Mipha all but says she loves him and he doesn’t get it. She wants a young Link back who was a page who did not have the burdens of being Zelda’s knight, or having the master sword, she wants an idealized version of Link. The issue is, unlike how Zelda gets to know Link, Mipha only has this view of him as a child really and that’s not really healthy to build a relationship off of.
Pre Calamity and post Calamity Link’s approach to the Zora is actually with a bit of apprehension. He doesn’t know how to take Mipha’s words, and he doesn’t know how to handle the straight up requests of him from the various Zora he meets in Hyrule before meeting Prince Sidon. But while he has this cautious approach, he is still incredibly respectful of them. That is his primary goal is to show them respect. It does not help that half their population hates him.
One of the most awkward things for Link is the Zora armor Mipha made for Link. The intention is not lost on him. And while he is honored to have it, and he is honored that she had those intentions to him. With or without memories of her, he has never felt that way towards him. And he accepts it, and wears it really to not be disrespectful to the Zora, because he always feels like he is walking that fine line with them. He grew up with them, but he also doesn’t really know how to interact with them if that makes sense. Playing swimming games is not the same as talking to them. Does that make sense? It does in my head.
Now lets talk a bit about Link and Sidon. Sidon has the best intentions. He likes Link. I can see him being a huge ally and friend for Link. The issue is that Link is just awkward. He has so much history with the Zora. He wants to be comfortable with the Zora, but hes not sure he can ever get to that place. He always seems a bit hesitant in his interactions with Sidon, and I’m not sure if that’s Sidon’s personality, but I do know part of it especially after getting that first Mipha memory is because of his history with her.
I don’t think Link’s feelings towards the Zora and their feelings towards him are something that is easily remedied or something that will be fixed simply because he is not as akward with some of the Zora as he is with others. Its a complicated past, and nothing helps because Link is a mixture post Calamity of the Knight he was, and the free loving teen he became after the Shrine.
So that’s all I got, this was all over the place, but that’s on point for me. And I want to say that all these opinions on the Zora are from Link’s perspective and how he perceives them. That does not make it fact for how they act, it is just Link’s own opinion.

Silent Prince
Thanks to @punishandenslavesuckers , I turned the original story way around, and she may or may not have massive spoilers
I trust you Rae, don't screw this up for me.
And thanks to the lovely @Roseindefinitely (who just recently made her account so I could properly credit her) I was able to edit and make this story much more enjoyable
Also credit to Rae for the lovely title, it's quite clever.
If, I can find somebody patient enough to deal with my crap, and generous enough to do it for free, I'd love to make a comic out if this. Hit me up with some examples if your interested.
If you wanna do fanart, by all means, though I doubt this will be popular off the get go.
If you like this shit, reblog, that'd be awesome.
_______
Princes without parents are normally Kings, but something's missing, and he just won't give up trying.
The boy walked the road alone, his gaze unmoving from the path far ahead of him, this wasn't his first time down this road.
It won't be his last.
He looked disheveled, hurt, even. If it wasn't for the fact that he hadn’t a trace of weapons or armor, or even a travel pack, he could have been a traveler.
The path was a long one, He had to take the longer route for a safe spot, but he wasn't strong enough to carry a pack anyways. The stable workers were quite familiar of him, ushering him in for a spot to rest. They had more haste with him than their usual customers, a sense of urgency. The boy appreciated it, however, he was just doing what he had to. The next morning, he went to harvest ingredients for breakfast.
While he cooked, he listened to the chatter of the other people crowded around the stables only cooking pot.
“I heard there another plague rising, started in Lurein this time” one man gossiped.
It sent shivers down the boy’s spine.
“That's far enough off, a few days ride from here, if your horse is fast, maybe it won't hit us this time.” A woman with a broom remarked, the boy was losing his appetite. He hurried to finish his food before the conversation became too graphic.
The boy thought of speaking, but the words caught in his throat, like they did not wish to leave. Instead he cleaned up and left, if he hurried, he would be there before nightfall, that would be nice.
He occupied his mind with thoughts of food and hot springs, sleeping for a decent while, and escapes in the quiet forest, where nothing but the wildlife kept him company, it brought him a slight smile. He waved to the traveling horsemen, bargained with merchants, and exchanged greetings with walking travelers, as far as they knew, everything was okay.
Enjoying snacks he had previously purchased from a kind merchant, he watched as the forest came into view. Eventually he found himself enveloped in the familiar eerie fog.
The crushing feeling in his chest dissipated when he emerged in the safe grove of the forest, his first thought was rest. He followed that thought all the way to the hollow under the deku tree, where he promptly fell onto his stomach, fast asleep.
The Koroks woke him up far earlier then he would have enjoyed, but his work still wasn't done.
As the Great Tree watched, he approached the pedestal, the Sword that Seals the Darkness, his destiny, gleamed with an eerie light. He was horrified, if he failed, his kingdom would too. He wondered if the court really had faith in him,  if they just said  what they said to make him feel like he wasn't worthless. Shaking his head in an attempt to clear his thoughts, he took hold of the blade. Pain immediately shot like lightning, rocking his body, and making him tremble slightly, reopening scarred wounds, and tearing new ones. It pulsed, like a heartbeat, every wave stronger than the last. He clenched his teeth so hard that his ears rang, his knuckles turning white with his grasp, until he couldn't anymore. His legs gave out with his weight and he fell, there he lay, a hopeless, tired, screaming, sobbing heap, rocking himself to distract from the pain of his torn skin, staring at his singed, hot hands.
She was saddling up her horse when she heard the other guards shout, turning her head, She turned in time to see him fall. Panic rose and rested in her chest.
“Jesus Christ! Is he okay?” The horse reared with the suddenness of the dropped gear. The woman ran to his side, and gently lifted the collapsed boys head. “Call for the medic, he pushed himself too far….”
One of them did as told, hurrying off deeper into the large building, his footsteps echoing and fading as he disappeared into the depths of the hall. The blonde looked at the boy, who was presently trying to stand up, he proved too weak to do so.
“oh hell no,” she forced him back into a sitting position “You aren't going anywhere on your own,” the boy opened his mouth to interject, but shut it shortly after, the woman picked him up with slight difficulty, gave the remaining guards a sharp look, and walked down the hall, the guards looked at each other in sheer terror, you don't argue with that woman, they promptly resumed work.
Zelda watched Link lay on his bed, on his side, facing away from her, to be precise. They could never get the damn boy to lay on his back, she never knew why.
“You can't be mad at me forever, Prince,” she said mockingly. “We were destined by the gods to fight the calamity together, so you have to get over it sooner or later.”
Link looked over his shoulder at her , it took him a second, but he spoke, his speech sounded forced, like he had to fight to get the words out, it startled Zelda, she never heard him say anything more than soft mumbles or grunts in approval “Im, Im not…. Mad…..”
Zelda didn't know if it was him finally manning up to speak, or the words he said, but it really pissed her off. Too frustrated to deal with him, she left his room and started down the stairs, once far enough, she vented aloud. “The nerve! To be so silent for so long, and the only thing he could muster to say was that he wasn't mad? Not a, ‘Sorry Zelda, I ran off, and almost died without telling anyone-’”
“I didn't know you were so concerned, Captain.”
Zelda nearly tripped down the stairs, the voice was so unexpected, “Q-Queen Mipha! I-I am so sorry your highness,” she spun and took a knee, right there, in the middle of the staircase, what an idiot, the queens giggling confirmed that.
“Link’s, fragile, fragile of body and heart…. He’s always been that way, even as a child. After my father retired, I was sad I couldn't be there for him, I had to see him when I heard that he collapsed just outside the castle…. I'm glad he is at least awake…”
Zelda blinked and rose, of course! “I nearly forgotten you two were close childhood friends,” she turned away slightly, pulling at her wrist guard “Yes, he seems fine, surprisingly…”
That earned a nod from the abnormally short Zora royalty “Though fragile, his spirit is determined, he once almost drowned in Lake totori, he had been sword training by himself by the edge, and somehow he accidentally flung the sword into the lake……” she motioned Zelda to follow her down the stairs, she did so.
“His reasoning was because it was his fathers, I remember how shocked Sidon was when he saw him drenched….. Link takes every mistake personally…… I suppose, it is both a blessing, and a curse…”
Zelda blinked, “Pardon me, Que-”
“Mipha is fine, Queen Mipha is too long…”
“Mipha, of course, do you think, Link takes the master sword, as a personal failure? Is that why he is so stubborn about it?”
Mipha nodded slightly “That is very well part of it, that sword, is forever bound to his blood, he needs that sword to return peace to  our kingdom, the court is encouraging him, telling him he must, when he can barely muster the strength to touch it…..” she shook her head “It's horrible, so many people are unknowingly pressuring him, to be honest, I don't know what happens when he tries to pull the sword, but seeing his injuries, I'm frankly against the thought, it's absolutely insane, there must be some other way of doing this…..”
Zelda nodded, although she really wasn't quite sure, no other person with the triforce of courage ever defeated ganon without the sword, maybe they never tried? Or maybe there was no other way?
“Its best I be headed back home, my kingdom awaits, so long, Captain.”
Zelda nodded, and bowed slightly “Farewell, and safe travels, give the Kingdom the Prince’s hellos, I am sure they will appreciate it.”
She smiles in response “I will. Say hello to the other Chiefs’ if they happen to visit.”
And with that, the small Zora queen leaves, and Zelda is left alone to her questions.
The Prince had questions of his own.
End Chapter one.
____________
Warning, Salt:
This chapter takes place over a few days, in case you are confused. There was so much going on, and not specifying the total time between segments made it seem more chaotic, and crazy.
Yes, I know that there was King Dorephan, and that Mipha was his daughter, no, Sidon is not her son in this AU, they are definitely siblings. I simply wanted a way for Mipha to not die. Cause I love Mipha.
Zelda is referred as Captain by Mipha, because she is a Captain, of the royal guard, as in, she is a knight, yes, Link’s night.
Link is called Prince, because, youuuuuu (hopefully) guessed it, he's a prince! Hence. The. Damn. Title.
____________
Feel free to ask questions about this if you have any. I'll be glad to answer.
Currently, I have no set schedule for this, I haven't even begun Chapter two, but yeah.

Sidlink Fic: Connecting Chapter 2
Ao3
Chapter 1 // Chapter 2 // Chapter 3
“It is good to see Link again. After all these years it seems he is still the same, reckless as always. It seems that he is happy.”
Mipha turned to face Zelda, her features soft and kind. She rested a hand over the Hylian princess’ own.
“He has been taken care of, yes?” Mipha looked down. “Not to say that I do not trust you. I worry about him, I cannot heal from such a distance. He was always one to get hurt due to his need to be heroic.” Mipha dropped her hand, smiling softly.
“I fear he does not like me very much, Lady Mipha. He has spoken not a fair word to me since our meeting though he has saved my life. I understand that I was cruel, but despite my efforts nothing has changed.” Zelda sighed, leaning against the brick of the wall. Although she had not known the Zora princess long, she had seemed to emanate a comfortable aura. It was refreshing to meet a friendly face amongst all those who sought to only oppress her and use her as an item of a long foretold legend.
“He has a good heart. If your intentions are true, then give him time.” Mipha touched the Hylian princess’ arm lightly before turning to leaving as she came; on an air of grace.
Zelda closed her eyes for a moment, feeling the watchful gaze of her knight return. He was ever-present, and silent as the wind. To the expressive princess, it was disconcerting.
There was a light tugging at her sleeve.
“Hey Princess!” A Zora child bounced up and down in front of Zelda, grinning broadly. She recognized him as Mipha’s young brother, Sidon.
“Yes?” Her brows furrowed as she recognized what he held.
“Princess! I hope you don’t mind but I looked through your things because it’s all really really cool! I found this book, is it your diary? You write really pretty. Mipha has a diary too, how come you both talk about Link so much, huh? Sister says says I shouldn’t-”
“Give me that!” Zelda grabbed the book quickly, holding it closely to her chest. Her cheeks flared an embarrassing shade of red as she hunched into the book as if trying to encase it in her body.
“Are you upset? I just thought maybe-” Sidon began with widened eyes, fumbling slightly over his words. The Hylian princess stormed away in a flurry, chewing on her lower lip and fuming.
Sidon stared after her, a confused expression crossing his features. The Princess’ knight lingered back with the young Zora. He came forward from the wall he had watched on from, kneeling in front of the Prince to match his height a little better.
“Link? Link! It’s been a really long time since I’ve seen you! Do you wanna play?” The young prince completely lost his confusion, full attention now on the Hylian Champion. Link shook his head, and Sidon’s expression dropped.
“Awe, why not?” He pouted, arms crossed.
“You really hurt her feelings, you know.” Link said, looking in the direction Zelda had left in. Sidon’s shoulders slumped, and his gaze fell.
“I did? Oh no! I just wanted to be friends with her! What did I do!?” Sidon snapped up, frantic.
“You really shouldn’t look through other people’s things. It’s not very heroic.” Link rested his hands on the Zora’s shoulders, assuring.
“It’s not? Link, what am I supposed to do!?”
“Apologize to her when she’s calmed down.” Link said, giving his shoulder a squeeze. Sidon nodded vigorously.
“I wanna be a hero, just like you, Link. One day I’m gonna be big and strong and I’m gonna be just like you. I’ll help lots of people and I’ll fight for my people, and I’ll be a nice king.” The Prince balled his fists, eyes sparkling. Link chuckled, standing.
“You want to be a hero?” He asked. Sidon nodded again, determined.
    “Of course I do!”
“You need to remember one thing while you’re fighting for what’s right, Sidon. You need to in order to be a brave hero for your people and your sister.”
“What’s that? Anything, I’ll do it.”
    “Show the enemy no fear.”
    ~*~*~
“Firstly, the remaining camps will need to be cleared. If not by the Zora warriors then by some other means.” Zelda frowned, still displeased with the outcome of the council.
“We cannot afford the labor, we need the Zoras.” Impa tapped her chin lightly, gazing tiredly at the fiery princess.
“We will find a way around it.” Zelda huffed.
“Very well then. We will also need the Gorons to help restore the remaining foundation of Castle Town after the camps are cleared.” Impa noted. Zelda nodded, jotting something down with her pen.
“I will write to Bludo promptly, then. We should also recruit the Rito to carry materials over water and across towns. The Gerudo women may be of use to provide supplies, material, and general craftsmanship. Many however will not appreciate the weather.” Zelda spoke absently, writing in her book. Impa leaned back slightly.
“And what of your findings with Vah Ruta?”
“Vah Ruta was not functioning as reported. I am working towards discovering how to get it working once again, although I suspect it may have something to do with inner damage to the orbs on it’s back from the force of the blast it gave to Calamity Ganon. I would not be surprised if similar reports were made on the Divine Beasts, but I will do my best to properly restore them.”
“Very good, Zelda.” Impa nodded approvingly. Zelda smiled slightly at the praise.
Link entered almost silently. The Hylian princess looked up.
“Oh, Link, I need to ask you a favor.” Zelda spoke, burying her hands into her pile of papers.
“What is it?” Link asked, nodding to Impa in greeting.
“I need you to deliver this letter to Prince Sidon at Zora’s Domain.” She adjusted the stack, handing Link a creamy envelope sealed red with the symbol of the Hylian royal family. Link studied it for a moment.
“Did you decide how you were going to respond to his offer?” Link furrowed his brows. Impa sighed as Zelda whirled around, expression nearly furious.
“Yes, I did. I decided to tell him that I would not and never would marry him and especially not for convenience. After all we’ve done for them, they can’t even show the slightest hint of courtesy. I swear to Hylia that the next monster that appears I will personally send it upon them with my own fury. And marriage! What is he thinking! I have my freedom at last, I cannot afford to be tied down as a dainty wife. I have a kingdom to build, not a husband to coddle. Stuck up, inconsiderate people like him make it an embarrassment to be royalty. There must be another way around this, I will make sure of that!” Zelda fumed, clenching her fist tightly. Her cheeks were dusted rosey as she turned back to her notes, scowling.
“I - okay, I’ll just deliver this letter than.” Link held his hands out in defense, eyes wide. Impa looked on apologetically, waving him out of the room before he could cause another outburst.
    ~*~*~
As Link settled onto Ayla’s saddle, he sighed contentedly. The familiar scent of leather and hay lingered, and he found that he had missed riding the past days he had been stuck in Kakariko. He was glad for an excuse to be back on the road, despite having to camp out the nights of the long travel.
Arrangements for his departure were made the day after the Princess’ request, and he had spent the day packing supplies. The journey would not be a long one, but a vigorous one nonetheless. Link patted down the saddlebag making sure that he had enough food, flint, and wood to last the nights. The letter was tucked securely into a pocket of the bag.
Over the course of the next three days, he had traveled across bridges and ruins, through forests and around lakes. Link had most of all missed relying on horseback rather than the Sheikah Slate to travel. While the device was useful for it’s purpose, he had no real need of it with the threat of Calamity Ganon no longer lingering. It was tiring and it always took longer, but the scenery and ride was always worth it. Winding down the trails and caves, Link made no haste, rather basked in the surroundings of one of his favorite places in Hyrule. Zora's Domain.
Ayla’s hooves clicked over the smooth stone of The Great Zora Bridge, alerting the guards of their presence as they neared. Link dismounted, giving Ayla a pat and slipping her an apple. He turned to Rivan.
“Master Link! We were not expecting you back so soon!” The Zora guard started at the sight of the Hylian Champion, a smile growing nonetheless.
“Zelda asked me to deliver something, but it’s always nice to be back.” Link smiled back, handing Ayla’s reigns to the Zora. Rivan nodded, a happy expression in place.
“Of course, you're always welcome here. We’ll be happy to take care of Ayla for you.” Rivan nodded, taking the reigns. Link gave him a nod before turning his attention to the Domain itself, scanning the ethereal river kingdom for a certain red-scaled prince. When his sight didn't catch the Prince, he entered the Domain, letter clutched in hand for fear of losing it.
Link wove around his old friends and acquaintances, tired from the journey and not caring much for excitable conversation for the time. Up the steps and into the throne room where King Dorephan always sat imposing and regal, a watchful gaze cast over the entire court. His stern expression loosened at the sight of the Hylian Champion.
“Ah, Link!” His voice boomed throughout the room. “It is unusual for you to make several visits in such a short span of time! I imagine it has something to do with the Princess’ request?” The King leaned forward on his chair, smiling greatly.
Link nodded, holding up the letter. “She asked me to deliver this to Sidon.”
“Of course. He should be in his study, you know where it is.” The King said with a wave of his hand, leaning back. Link bowed forward slightly before making his way to a door tucked away off to the side behind the throne room.
He paused in front of the door he knew to be Prince Sidon’s study. He knocked on the door, and stretched his aching limbs as he waited for the response.
“Come in!” The Prince’s muffled voice rang out from inside the room. Link pushed the door open with little resistance. It seemed almost strange to see the large and energetic prince seated still at a desk, papers and books spread before him yet neatly arranged. Link didn’t even try to stifle the chuckle that escaped at the sight.
“Oh yes, laugh it up Mu-” The Prince began, eyes stilled glued to his work. As his eyes trailed up, however, he choked on the word. He stared at the champion, mouth gaping for a moment.
“L-Link! What brings you here so soon?” Sidon jumped up from his chair, knees knocking into his desk and hands splayed flat. Despite the fact, a broad and bright grin stretched across his lips.
“Zelda asked me to deliver this to you.” Link said, grinning himself. The Zora prince’s happiness was always infectious. He outstretched the letter in his hand. Sidon paused, excitement faltering.
“Oh, yes… Thank you.” He stared at the letter for a moment before taking it from the Hylian gingerly, meeting Link’s gaze as he tore it open deliberately.
As the Prince scanned the contents of the letter, his expression sobered. A long sigh escaped him as he slumped back into his chair. Link watched him, surprised. He’d never seen anything get to Sidon, his expression always a happy one.
“Sidon?” Link asked quietly, peering up at the Prince. Sidon looked at him crestfallen, his eyes deep with worry. Link felt a pang in his heart.
“I… do not know what to do.” He said, his frown deepening. “This was the only way I know to unite our people. The elders will not sway, and now I fear Zora’s Domain will only suffer for it.”
“Zelda will find another way.” Link said firmly, placing a hand delicately on Sidon’s arm. Sidon shook his head.
“Any document she needs will surely be destroyed or outdated. I thank you for your support nonetheless.” The Prince made an attempt of a smile, facing the Hylian fully. Link looked at him, dispirited and somber. Link thought frantically for an answer, anything to restore the happiness he had come to grow used to. He was never good with politics, but seeing the Zora prince in such a state was almost painful, and he was willing to do anything to put a smile back on his face.
“I’ll do it.” Link blurted suddenly, not really registering what he was saying. Sidon looked up, confused.
    “You’ll do what?” he asked.
    “I’ll marry you.”
“Oh! I’m flattered, truly... but what will this accomplish?” Sidon tilted his head. Link thought for a moment, unsure how it would himself. Suddenly, the Prince gripped Link’s shoulders, eyes widening.
“Wait a moment. As Princess Zelda’s personal knight you are from an esteemed family of royal knights, yes? That would make you at the very least a minor aristocrat. But not only that, you are a Champion, which makes for even closer connections to the royal family. My people value you greatly, and trust you not only as the Hero who saved us from Vah Ruta and defeated Calamity Ganon, but as their revered friend.” Sidon shook the Champion's shoulders slightly, smile growing with each point.
Link looked up, surprised. “And what does that mean?”
Sidon stood up quickly, looking down at the Hylian Champion brightly.
“It means this might work, even better than the Princess herself I daresay. You'd do this, Link? You'd do this for me!? Ahah! You truly are my most treasured friend, you do not cease to amaze me!” Sidon gave an airy laugh, pulling Link off his feet in a hug. He spun him around the room, clutching him tightly close. He set Link to the floor after a few moments, smiling apologetically. Link stumbled on his feet, the floor moving beneath him.
“That’s good?” Link said, unsure and wobbling. Sidon nodded enthusiastically.
“I must present this idea to my father. We have no rooms prepared for you, you would not mind staying at the inn tonight, yes?”
    “Of course not.”
“Excellent! Come, come. We must make haste.” Sidon grinned, ushering the Hylian out of the room. He gave Link a bright smile. “I will come for you tomorrow. For now, go rest. Truly Link, thank you.”
Link nodded, fuzzy. What exactly did he just offer?
    ~*~*~
Sidon stood upon the petitioning dais before his father, hands folded behind his back as he stared up, a stoic expression in place. King Dorephan watched him curiously, leaning on the arm of the throne and tapping his cheek lightly. The elders of the council sat before as well, Muzu standing post as head of the council. All but the King himself seemed unsure of the situation.
“My son, you have called for council. I presume it is to do with the return of the Hylian Champion and the letter you had received this morning?” The King asked, looking down. Sidon squared his shoulders, tilting his chin skyward. A low chatter broke amongst the council members.
“Yes, Father. I have received a letter from Princess Zelda regarding the unity proposal. She firmly refused, and insists on finding another way. However I do not think she will find another feasible solution.” Sidon began, speaking detached and to the court.
“Then she will not have her agreement, it is simple, Your Majesty.” A member of the council, Seggin, spoke quickly. Sidon shook his head, turning directly to face the council.
“I am afraid it is not that simple. For the past century, since the first appearance of Calamity Ganon and fall of Hyrule, we have been on a decline. In order to return Zora’s Domain to it’s former glory, a unity with the Hylians is essential. They were before and once again will be the center of commerce, and the correlation between their success with ours will be undeniable. Our resources as a majorly isolated kingdom are limited as they are currently. It would be wise to form this connection if we are able.” Sidon spoke, loud and unwavering. King Dorephan took on almost a pleased expression, while the council members grumbled amongst themselves in distaste. The information wasn’t news to the council, though it had not been brought up in detest for the Hylian race.
Trello stood from his seat in the council, expression twisted bitterly.
“My Prince, while this may be true we cannot simply ignore tradition. We have been doing well as a race thus far, and to throw away thousands of years worth of tradition for such a thing would be foolish. If we must, we will find another source of trade.” The elder Zora defended his position feverently, nearly shaking where he stood. Sidon nodded along to the spiel, knowing full well they would not find another source of trade as they hadn’t in one hundred years. The Hylians were vital to the economy, that much was true as could be seen by the lacking within the past century.
“Your highness, it seems we are at an impasse once more as when Princess Zelda stood in our court not a week ago. Continuing like this does not seem to be doing anything for the matter.” Muzu spoke up, irritated.
“Ah, Muzu, this is where you are wrong. While in my study this morning, the Hylian Champion Link delivered Princess Zelda’s letter. We spoke about the matter, and he came up with a marvelous idea to create that connection between our kingdoms.” Sidon said, a glimmer appearing in his eye as he spoke. King Dorephan leaned forward curiously.
“Go on, Sidon.” The King nodded, a gesture for him to continue. Sidon bit in inside of his cheek, it was now or never. He breathed in deeply, smiling for confidence.
“There is another better suited to be wed to me.” He said, a little too quickly.
“And who might that be?” The King asked, though a sort of understanding appeared on his features as he leaned back. Sidon’s eyes flicked to the door.
“Link. Not only was he an aristocrat of sorts before Hyrule had been destroyed, he is a Champion. As such, his connections with the royal family are clear. He is a hero who has saved not only us Zora, but the every other race as well. Our people love and trust him as a treasured friend as it is. I would argue that he is a better choice than the princess herself.” Sidon gave strongly, his head held high.
“An aristocrat, you say? In such a case he may very well be in line to take the throne after Zelda, as all known royalty and descendents were destroyed during the Calamity.” King Dorephan pondered, tapping his fingers on the arm of the chair.
“Have you forgotten something, my liege? A throne needs an heir to sit upon it.” Seggin huffed once more, his voice haughty. The King remained silent, and Sidon mentally berated himself for not thinking of such an issue sooner. He grappled for anything that came to mind, searching frantically for a solution.
“Surrogacy?” The Prince cleared his throat to hide the desperation in his voice. The court remained still, though the more time stretched on the more valid an answer it seemed. “It is not an unheard of solution, though not ideal. I am sure there is record of the Royal Family using surrogate mothers due to infertility.” Sidon added.
A low hum of voices echoed throughout the hall as the council debated the subject. King Dorephan sat back in his chair and smiled. Many of the council members aged faces were lined heavily with distaste. Muzu looked at Sidon curiously.
“It seems to be a valid solution.” He said. The King nodded.
“The court is dismissed for now. We will discuss the possible arrangement of this at a later date.” King Dorephan boomed. The council members stood to leave, grumbling. “Sidon, stay. I wish to speak with you.”
Sidon stood still at the dais, staring up at his father. King Dorephan remained silent until the throne room was empty.
“My son. We were faced with a delicate issue, and you solved it in stride. You took great care of the opinions of the council and traditions of our people, but Sidon. Are you sure you want to go through with this? It will be a political marriage.” He said, his rough tone softer than usual. Sidon took a deep breath and conjured an image of Link in his mind, lopsided grin on his face and mirth in his eyes. Sidon smiled softly, posture relaxing.
“I am sure. It is what’s best for our people. I am confident in this unity.” Sidon told his father, looking him in the eye with an overflowing confidence. The King watched him for a moment intently, before his expression changed and he gave a nod.
“I am proud of you Sidon. You will make a good king one day.”
“You mean it..? Thank you, Father!” Sidon jumped up, excitement from the praise rising in his voice. King Dorephan laughed, his deep voice booming through the hall.
“Of course, my son. I will send for Princess Zelda immediately. You are free to go.” He said with a gesturing wave. Sidon bowed forward before walking out of the throne room with a newborn fire. As soon as he was out of sight from his father, his walking turned brisk as he made his way towards Seabed Inn, a skip in his step.
As he spotted Link in front of the inn with Kodah, a wide smile stretched across his lips with barely contained happiness.
    “Say hey there!”

An Accidental Mating Ch. 6 (A SidLink Omegaverse Story)
Chapter 6: Behind Closed Doors
“Remember Link, since this baby is part Zora you do need to adapt to a Zoran diet,” Zelda said, snapping the book shut on her lap.
“Isn't it just mostly rice and fish?” Link asked.
“Yes, though lots of fish. Test out what the baby likes and avoid what he or she doesn't,” Zelda said happily. “You want this baby healthy right?”
“More than anything.” He wanted nothing more than to bring a happy child into this world even if it meant they wouldn't have a father.
He still wasn't sure how he felt about this Ezra being the father.
“Then fish, fish, fish.”
And fish it was. Several days had passed since Link had found out who his alpha was and he spent most of his time with the cooks in the kitchen if he wasn't doing research with Zelda. Ezra lingered in the kitchen with him, attempting to warm up to him but Link would not budge. He still didn't believe he was the father to his baby. There was an itch at the back of his mind but the proof was in the mark on his neck.
Maybe one day he would warm up to him but for right now he would keep him around, but at a distance. So far Ezra was being respectful of that.
That day however Ezra had a double shift doing guard duty, leaving Link to his own devices as Zelda was doing her own thing as well. Link had gone to the kitchen as he normally did, this time so happy with the dish they had prepared that he had asked for seconds.
Salmon meuniere. He had gobbled the first dish  quickly and had asked for another. This time they had loaded the bowl for him and instead of sitting there eating like the glutton he was in front of them he decided to take a walk, wanting some piece of mind.
The library sounded like a good place to sit for a while.
He slipped into the room with the bowl in his hands, leaning forward to get a small taste of the salmon from a small taste when he collided with someone coming out of the room.
The bowl slipped from his hands, his body toppling over as well quickly.
“Link!” came a gasp, an arm wrapping around his body, keeping him from falling hard onto his bottom and hurting him self. Link expected to hit the floor. He had also expected to hear the clatter of the food he had been wanting to eat but a slow peek of his eyes saw the bowl clutched in a large red hand, the food only spilling a little on the floor.
“I'm so sorry. I should have looked before I stepped out,” came Sidon's voice. Link's cheeks flushed as he looked up at the prince. He hadn't seen him in so long and now here he was, cradled in his arms. Just his touch sent tingles through him.
“No, I should have been watching,” Link said, settling back on his feet with Sidon's help. The prince hovered over him, helping him into a chair at the table in the room and then set the food in front of him. Silence passed between them, the only sound coming from Sidon as he let out a sigh.
That look of pain was back on his face.
“I should get going,” he finally said.
Link quickly reached out, grabbing onto his arm which caused him to pause, looking down at him longing eyes.
“No, please stay. I haven't seen you in a while. Perhaps...maybe we can catch up?” he asked. He knew it would be hard. Sidon knew exactly what he had been up to in his past.
“Link, I don't know if I can...” Sidon said sadly, but the sudden sight of Link's eyes filling with tears had Sidon sitting in the chair next to him quickly.
“No, no. Please don't cry my friend.”
Link gazed at him confused until he felt the tears leak down his cheeks. He wiped them away with the back of his hand, a tad embarrassed that Sidon had seen that. Damn his hormones for making him so unbalanced.
“It's the hormones,” he explained with a sigh, going to wipe more away when Sidon wiped them away himself. His cheeks rose with color, eyes watching the Zora before him.
“I'm sorry that it's become such a pain,” Sidon said to him. “I can't say I know you're pain. Though I am a little surprised if I'm honest.”
“How so?” Link asked, feeling the lack of warmth as Sidon dropped his hands and gathered Link's bowl closer to him.
“Well I never thought you would be an omega of all things. Not that it's a bad thing. It just proves that even the strongest man of Hyrule can be an omega as well,” Sidon said, wiping the spoon handle off with his hand and then licked his fingers. “Mmm. Salmon meuniere?”
Link nodded, taking the spoon and scooping some into his mouth with a happy hum. “I found out the baby really like's it.”
“The baby has good taste I'd say,” Sidon said with a small laugh. “That's actually one of my favorite fish dishes. Especially since I was a child.”
“Did you want some?” Link asked, holding the spoon out for Sidon with a smile. The prince quickly looked at the door and then leaned down, taking the spoon into his mouth as Link still held it. Link swallowed thickly at the close proximity of the prince.
Why couldn't Sidon be the one? From being there to do the mark test with the melons Sidon was clearly unmated to anyone, as well as an alpha. What better person could he ask for? And he loved him to the ends of the earth, but Sidon didn't know that.
“Delicious. Clearly the child knows good food,” Sidon laughed as Link set the spoon back in the bowl. “Despite that this child came as a surprise to everyone, you should be proud of him or her. They also get to have you as their parent.”
Without even thinking Sidon rest a hand on Link's stomach. Link flushed but remained still. His hand was warm against his bump, bringing a sense of comfort with him.
“Sidon...about what you said back at the castle. Did you really mean that?” Link whispered, afraid to speak any louder than that. Gold eyes flicked up to meet his gaze, holding him there. A blazing sense of  protectiveness rolled off of him in waves.
“About wanting to be the one in that room with you?” Sidon asked, his voice just as low, his voice wavering a little as he spoke to him as if telling a secret. “I would be lying if I said I didn't want to be in there with you.”
“But why? Was it because I had been in heat and you had been acting out on instinct?” He wouldn't be surprised. That was how Ezra apparently found him.
“Goddess no Link,” Sidon said quickly, his other hand coming to rest against his cheek. “Link I had no idea you were an omega, I would not act upon those things just because of that like someone had back then.”
Clearly Sidon did not like Ezra.
“An act like that should be between two people who are in love,” the prince continued, shifting a little closer as his other hand stroked his stomach. “I cannot deny my feelings for you Link. I know you are marked for someone else and with his child but, I must say it. I do love you Link. Very much. So much that it hurts seeing you with him.”
Link was at a loss of words. He had known but he hadn't though the prince would actually say it out loud to him like this. So intimately...
“I-”
“But you are meant for someone else. I'm not about to steal someone else's omega,” Sidon interjected, starting to pull away. Link quickly grabbed onto the hand on his face, leaning his warm cheek into his palm.
“I may be marked, but in the end I decide who I want to be my alpha,” Link said firmly. “I did something stupid. I'm going to fix it.”
“Link...”
“Sidon, I love you.”
The prince's jaw dropped open, his cheeks rising in color against his pale scales. “Link you...you...what?”
Link stood up from the chair, his arms sliding around his neck. In the eyes of everyone else this was wrong. He was claimed. But behind these closed doors where they were the only ones there, this was their moment. Everything felt right and no one could tell them no.
“I love you,” he said again. “And I always will no matter what happens.”
Sidon smiled gently, still cradling the little bump in his hand as Link leaned forward and kissed the prince tenderly on the lips.
His breath hitched as their lips made contact, his smaller body instinctively shifting closer into his arms. Sidon's arms wrapped around him, pulling him up against his torso, arms protecting and clutching in a way he never thought he would.
Their kisses turned deeper, tongues seeking one another, grazing gently against each other. Link felt his body tremble, moaning gently against his lips. Sidon groaned softly in response, his hand clutching the back of his head, claws tenderly threading through gold locks of hair. Link gasped for breath as Sidon shifted to kissing his cheek and then to his neck, inhaling slowly. That was where he stopped with his touches, pausing as he inhaled again.
A flash of memory sparked between them. Feverish kisses, the sound of the bottle of wine clattering against the floor as Sidon pulled him flush against him just like he was now.
This wasn't their first kiss.
“We've done this before,” Sidon mumbled to him as he rose his head, his thumb coming to run over Link's bottom lip. Link nodded a little, feeling his heart beat like it was pounding in his ears. They had done this before. They had talked before about what they were. “But...what happened after that? I can't remember anything.”
Link shook his head, leaning in to kiss him again when the door to the library started to open. Sidon quickly set Link back down in the chair and stood straight, grabbing the first book off the shelf that was next to him.
“Ah, Link, there you are,” came Ezra's voice as he stepped in. He bowed his head to the prince before settling at the table, a basket covered with a towel in his hand. “Someone said they saw you come in here. Are you alright?”
“He's fine,” Sidon said, snapping the book he held shut and setting it on the table. “He told me he came in here to research Zoran children to get an idea of how to raise the little one. You should be proud, he will make a good parent.”
“That's wonderful Link. What have you learned so far?” Ezra asked, though a dark look crossed his dark green scales. “And I'm sure my mate can answer for himself.”
Sidon glared at the other Zora, the tension rising between the alphas quickly.
“I-I learned that I should eat more fish. The baby likes Salmon,” Link said, hoping to ease the tension in the room with baby talk. It helped, slightly.
“Salmon, now that's a good choice,” Ezra said, ignoring the prince as he stepped to the door, knowing right now it was a battle he couldn't win against Ezra.
“I must attend to my duties. We can catch up later Link,” Sidon said, leaving the two of them alone in the room together.
Link held back a sigh, leaning back in the chair as he looked to the man who was his alpha. He wanted to ask what he had seen that night but he was sure he had to warm up to him a little bit first. If he asked him now he may never get any answers.
“I hope you still have room for these,” Ezra said, pulling the towel off of the basket to show it full of chocolate chip muffins. Link's eyes widened at that, his mouth watering at that which caused Ezra to chuckle. He plucked one up and held it out to him as he knelt next to him.
“Cute,” he said, resting it in his hands and then cradled the stomach before him. “You must grow big and strong little one.”
Despite the touches that he gave did not feel right Link had to admit that Ezra really was just acting like an expectant father. Maybe, just maybe he could at least let Ezra be the father, but not the alpha to him. That role was assigned for Sidon if he ever got out of his mess. It would be a bit of a mess later on but he knew what his heart wanted.
Ezra lifted his head, a lopsided smile coming to his face. “I was able to have Bazz switch my shifts so I could spend more time with you. I'm glad I came when I did.”
Before Link could ask Ezra leaned forward, kissing Link slowly. Link froze at the feel. His brow furrowed as he closed his eyes tightly, kissing back slowly but he could not shake this feeling. The feeling that he was doing something wrong.
This wasn't Sidon.
Feeling the hesitation, Ezra slowly pulled back. He laid a hand on his cheek, petting it lightly It took all Link could to not flinch away from the caressing touch on his cheek. “Can I ask something of you Link?”
“I mean...sure?” he said.
“As your alpha I want to express a concern. Quite frankly I don't like the way that the prince had been staring at you. He knows that you belong to me yet he looks so..predatory. I do not want you alone with him again,” Ezra explained, his expression darkening. “Can you do that for me? Can you not be alone with him? I know he's your friend but since you came to the Domain he has been acting differently around you. I fear for you as well as our baby. Just if you are going to see him, could you at least take me or Zelda with you?”
Link's brows furrowed a bit. Was he using his status as an alpha to try to control him? That was a thing though wasn't it...He wouldn't be able to say no?
“I'm sure he means no harm-”
“Link please,” Ezra said, his expression softening. “For the sake of your safety and the safety of our child, please don't be alone with him.”
He knew for a fact though he couldn't stop seeing Sidon. But for the sake of Ezra's mind he would at least promise him, fake as it was.
“I won't,” he said to him. Ezra smiled and leaned in to kiss him again. Link clenched his eyes tightly, wishing that this was Sidon.

An Accidental Mating Ch. 4 (A SidLink Omegaverse Story)
Chapter 4: What Was Expected
It had been a couple of months since Sidon had left to go home. Each day that passed the more Link yearned to be by his side. He really had no idea what was making him so desperate to see the Zora again. Sure he loved him and missed him but there was just something else that was having him crave to be there next to him.
Perhaps it was that he had told him he loved him. If it wasn't for the mark sitting on his neck as well as the “fun” that he had that time ago he would have run right to the prince's side and begged him to take him as his own.
Things didn't feel right until he was right next to him. But he couldn't. His duty was to protect Zelda despite that there was no longer any danger.
One didn't know of any possibilities so it was best to stay at his job.
Zelda had noticed the change in him, never once mentioning it however as she took down mental notes of these changes. Small mood swings would occur, him being happy one moment and then close to tears the next. He was eating a lot more now than he usually did, which was saying something considering that he was quite the glutton. There was one more thing she needed to make sure of and only then would she have her full results.
“Link, can I talk to you about something personal?” Zelda asked one day as they sat in her study. Link peered up from the bowl of rice he was eating, shrugging his shoulders.
“Sure,” he responded, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. The princess rose up from her seat and pulled a chair out for Link to take a seat in.
“Here, sit.”
Link rose from his spot on the floor and took a seat in the chair, setting the bowl of food down on the desk in front of him.
“I've noticed something going on with you. Want to talk about it?” she asked softly. “You can talk to me about anything. You're my best friend.”
Link sighed softly, leaning back a bit. “I just don't feel right. My mind keeps going back to going to the Domain again and again. Like I won't feel right until I get there.”
Zelda nodded her head. “Well that was part of what I was going to ask. Have you been feeling anything else weird lately?”
“Well I keep getting sick every morning but then I feel fine and I eat so much food as usual. Maybe I'm just eating too much,” Link sighed. “Wouldn't be the first time that's happened.”
Zelda started to smile a bit, tapping her chin. “Mind showing me your shoulder?”
“My shoulder?”
“Yes, I want to see your shoulder. You didn't tell me that much about that night, though I don't blame you seeing as you can't remember that much,” she said.
Link sighed, tugging the collar of his tunic to the side to reveal the scar that sat on his shoulder. The mark hadn't faded at all, standing stark against his pale skin. Zelda delicately ran a finger over it, a knowing smile came to his face.
“Alright, first it seems like when you did the deed a couple of months ago, the person you had done it with marked you as his mate. Only alpha bites can remain vibrant on an omega's skin. It's the easiest way to show the omega had been claimed.”
Link paled at that. He had been claimed? The guy he had done it with had marked him as his own and then had left him?
“I think I know what species at least marked you. Let me get my book,” she said, going to the large bookshelf in the room and looking at the titles. She pulled out one and started to flip through its pages, searching for something.
“Each species whether Hylian, Rito, Goron, or Zora each had a distinguishing bite. Gerudo teeth are like ours so it'd be hard to decipher but I believe....”
Link looked to the book as she placed it in front of him, different anatomies of each specifies spread out before him.
“I believe a Zora had marked you,” she stated. “I don't know who it was unless I can get bite marks to compare them to as they are a little similar to one another but they are vastly different from the rest of us.”
Link idly ran his fingers over the mark on his neck. “That explains why I want to return to the Domain so bad.”
“You don't sound exactly happy about that,” she offered.
“I thought it was because of my feelings for the prince,” he told her, his voice thick. “It just turns out it wasn't Sidon and it was because this Zora I slept with is my mated Alpha.”
Zelda was silent a moment, resting her arms on his shoulder as he pulled his knees up to his face and rest his forehead against them.
“Isn't there a way I can undo this?”
“There are a few ways to undo a mating, but there is something that honestly will make it all the more difficult to separate the two of you,” Zelda sighed.
“What is it?”
Zelda sighed. She hated seeing her best friend so upset. He had one night of fun and it seemed like his world was falling apart.
“Link, you had said a couple of months ago that you were late for your heat, correct?” she asked in the most gentlest of ways. The blonde nodded his head, wiping his face of tears. “And you had said that you are late again?”
Link felt a lump form in his throat, his eyes going quickly down to the slightly plump stomach that he was starting to develop.
“I'm pregnant, aren't I?” he asked.
“I believe you might be,” she said gently, petting his hair. “You may have gone into a heat that night and with that combined with what you did resulted in this child. There is no way to separate you from your alpha until the baby is born.”
His shaking hand ran over his stomach, stroking it affectionately. This child, despite had been created with such a mistake he had made, he wasn't going to blame the child.
“Well, we can wait till the baby is born and then separate me from the alpha,” Link said hopefully but Zelad shook her head.
“I wish it was that easy but it's not. This yearning to go will only get worse until you are by the alpha's side. If anything it would make you sick beyond reason. I'm sorry Link but we need to go find him,” she said softly.
Link scowled at that. He didn't want to go. He didn't want to see the man who had abandoned him and the baby, but he also didn't want to have Sidon see him like this, stomach swelled with the child that wasn't his own.
But he didn't want to feel ill or worse end up killing himself if he wasn't by his mated Zora. He would have to power through it.
Perhaps maybe he could figure out why he had left him like that, demand to know why he hadn't said anything.
But what if the Zora had no idea that he was with child? Perhaps. It still hurt that he would just leave after a connection such as that but if he didn't know he was with child he didn't blame him for not knowing.
If it wasn't for the fact that he would become ill if he wasn't by the alpha, this would be news that he would keep to himself. He didn't know the first thing about taking care of a baby but he would learn and he knew Zelda would help him through it.
“Let's take you to the infirmary and see if it is true and I'm not just speaking out of my rear end,” Zelda said with a weak laugh.
Link nodded his head.
* “I need you to go to the bathroom in this so I can do the test,” she said, handing Link a potion bottle with a cork. “I only need a bit so don't fill it up.”
He sighed as he took the bottle, returning a few moments later from the bathroom and passing the bottle reluctantly. He didn't want to take the test but he also wanted to know if it was true that he was pregnant or not. Part of him wanted it to be untrue.
The healer took the bottle, dripping a few drops of another liquid into it and stirred it, nodding her head a little bit.
“Alright, it'll take a few moments till we get our results, so make yourself comfortable,” the healer said, stepping away with the bottle.
Link let out a sigh, taking a seat in one of the chairs. Zelda slowly sat next to him, worry  written on her face. She could understand that his was a hard thing for him. To have someone else's baby as well as be mated to someone else that wasn't the one he was in love with was something that would hurt. She couldn't imagine the turmoil that her friend was feeling.
“Wait, how is it possible for me to be pregnant. If it's a Zora that shouldn't happen. I'm a Hylian. We are two different species,” Link suddenly said, looking to Zelda with hope that he was right, but deep down he knew that it wasn't possible. He was grasping at any possibility now out of his desperation to be normal again.
“Oh Link...” she sighed softly. “I know not having your memory has taken so many important things from you. You had forgotten most of the basics when it comes to alphas and omegas. It does not matter the species. If it's an alpha and the omega is in heat, there is a high chance that you will become pregnant regardless of species.”
Link paused and nodded his head. He knew he should have guessed that. He knew that with all the facts lined up for him he should've known that it was like this. Now the only question that would be posed of was would the child be a Hylian or be a Zora?
“Remind me to give you a book on this sort of thing. I have one in my library,” Zelda offered but knew this was not the news that Link wanted to hear. “Perhaps...maybe you aren't pregnant at all. Maybe you're just under a lot of stress and my hypothesis is wrong.”
Though they knew that he possibility of that was not very high.
“I wouldn't say that your highness,” the healer said as she stepped back into the room and held up the bottle that the liquid inside was now blue. “This says that you are indeed with child and seemed to have been with child for a while now. I'd say you're about three months along.”
Despite that Link knew this was the results of his test, he gently pressed a hand to his stomach, petting it softly as another hand came to his face as he felt tears brim his eyes. This wasn't the child's fault .It was his own. His own for letting a strange Zora he didn't know impregnate him. He really should not have drank that alcohol.
He would raised this child on his own, doing whatever he could to make sure that the child was happy despite he was not.
“I'll leave you two alone,” she said to them, leaving the two in an uncomfortable silence. Zelda rest her hand on Link's and he turned to her quickly, wrapping his arms around his friend as he sank to his knees.
Tears leaked down his cheeks. This was the opposite of what someone would do when they found out they were going to have a baby. But the thought of not being able to be with the prince had overwhelmed him. He was tainted goods. He was owned by someone else. There was no way Sidon would want him now.
“Oh Link...please talk to me,” Zelda urged. Link shook in her arms, one hand clutching his stomach. So many thoughts were going through his head. “Is this because of Sidon?”
Link sat back a bit and nodded his head, wiping the tears on his face. “It's bad enough he thinks that I'm  just someone who sleeps around,” he hiccuped. “But now it's even worse. Now I'll never have the chance to be with him!”
Zelda gazed at him confused, but squeezed her hand  that still rest on his shoulder. “Link, isn't he mated to someone else?”
Link quickly shook his head. “He said to me before he left that he wished it was him in that bedroom with me.”
Green eyes widened and she quickly got what was happening. Sidon was in love with Link just as much as the blonde champion was with the Zora. Having sex with another alpha was something that could be overlooked but now Link was mated as well as pregnant.
Sidon had no right to try to claim for his own unless his alpha abandoned him. From the mark on his neck he was pretty sure that he had no intentions to do so.
“I'm so sorry Link,” she said, kneeling down on the ground and hugging her friend to herself, letting Link cry as much as he wanted.
