Comfort fic to "our violent delights" from bikadoo on AO3
Got inspired by the lates chapter but since it made me cry I am writing this to cope. If you haven't read the fic I would recumend you do. It's amazing
Aemma watched as her eldest brother was swalloed by the sea and her mind went blank. All she felt was pain, a blinding all consuming pain. It was not suppost to be like this. He was suppost to be king one day, marry Baela and have a beautyful familiy. But now that would never happen. Suddenly her pain was replace by rage and a deep desperation for revenge. Later she would wonder if this is how Prince Baelon had felt when his brother died. By an arrow through the neck, just like hers. They called the aftermath "Prince Baelons wrath", the say the sea turned pink with blood for weeks after Baelon had accented on them. But for now she wondered nothing, she just wanted. Her heart wanted her brother back but since this couldn't be she decided she wanted all of his killers dead instead.
"Dracarys" she let fire rain down on them, the dragonseeds ordered the same but she did not notice. All Aemma cared about in that moment was to kill them all. And so she did. Vemithor was a war dragon other then little Vermax he had seen battle, he had won battles and he won this on as well. When all was done every single ship was distroyed, every men dead. The lost another dragonseed but Aemma cared not for Hugos or whatever his name was death. Maybe it was heartless of her but by the 14 she did not care.
The landed on the closesed shore. The shores of Driftmark, it was suppost to be her seed but now it would go to Joffrey as she ... she was now the heir to the throne. And she hated it, she would alway hate it. "Leave me", she ordered, "Return to Dragonstone, I need to be alone", they did and as soon as they had take of Aemma broke down. She feel into the sand and screamed. She screamed and wept until she had no tears left to cry and no longer a voice to scream.
Suddenly their was a shaddow over her. Her eyes shot up. There stood a woman in a black dress, she looked like an older version of herself with long brown hair, brown eyes. Around her neck was a some kind of metal band with a bit red cristal. "What to you want", Aemma wispered, her voice haors from crying. "I came to do my lords bidding", the women answered, "the Lord of light sees all and we all live in his light. You have sacrificed him many lifes today, so hear I am offering you the gradatude of my god."
Aemma wants to laugh. The Lord of light was gradfull to her, what a jock. What good did this to her when her brother was still gone? And that she asked to woman. "If your god is so gratefull to me then he should give my brother back to me", she mocked but what the woman then said shocked her: "So be it"
The princess looked at her in confusion. "What?" she wispered but the woman just smiled. "My lord is capable of a great many things, come with me child and you may jet resive what you crave so dearly." Aemma had no idea what to make of this. A part of her was angry, how dare this woman play with her heart as she did. She had already lost so much, must she loose more? But she was to exhausted to protest. So she let the woman leed her by the hand alonge the beach. "Who are you?", she asked, "I have many names and will resive many more", the woman answered, "But for today you may call me Alys."
They kept walking and with every step Aemma felt like breaking down again but the she saw something that brock her heart all over again. There on the beach lay her brother, or her brothers body. She ran, ran to him and threw herself down beside him. He was the most horrible side. Eyes wide and dead, his body littered with arrows. Aemma thought for she she could no longer cry but she did. Once again she wept and screamt with her brother in her arms. It woke her a moment to notice the hand on her shoulder. She turned to see Alys beside her. "No more reason to weep sweet princess. The Lord of light with give his his fire back. Alys knelt on the other side of Jace's body and started to mumble, wispering words Aemma did not listen to. It could not work, she knew it but just for a moment she let herself hope. "Come back to me Jace. I need you brother", she wispered holding his cold hand, "You promised to be there for me. You can't leave me yet."
Something was stroking her hand, she looked at her brothers face and he was looking up at her, smiling. "It seems I won't be going anywhere", he wispered and for the third time that day Aemma wept but this time tears of joy.

Tyanna was the daughter of a magister of Pentos. She began as a tavern dancer and rose to become a courtesan, although some claimed she was also a poisoner and a sorceress.
When Prince Maegor Targaryen returned from his exile to claim the Iron Throne, the Faith Militant was in near full control. They challenged his rule with a trial of seven, in which Maegor won but was left grievously wounded.
Maegor's second wife, Alys Harroway, returned twenty-eight days later. In her company was Tyanna, rumoured to be both Maegor's and Alys' paramour. After meeting Tyanna, Visenya gave her full care of Maegor; which troubled his supporters.
Awakening from his coma, Maegor burned the Warrior's Sons at the Sept of Remembrance atop the Hill of Rhaenys and waged war on the Faith Militant.
It was after his victory at the Great Fork of the Blackwater that Maegor returned to King's Landing and announced his intention to take Tyanna as wife. When Grand Maester Myros objected, claiming that the only true wife of Maegor's was Ceryse Hightower, Maegor killed him.
Maegor married Tyanna atop the Hill of Rhaenys, and it is said that Alys joined them on their first night of marriage.
Tyanna was mistress of whisperers on her husband's small council and was titled, 'The King's Raven.' It was said that discussing secrets in the Red Keep was foolish, as even rats and other creatures were her spies.
In 44 AC, two years after Maegor returned from exile, Dowager Queen Visenya died. In the confusion after her death, Aenys I's widow, Queen Alyssa Velaryon, fled from Dragonstone with her children and the Targaryen sword, Dark Sister.
Alyssa and Aenys's second son, Prince Viserys had been under Maegor's thumb at the Red Keep. He served as his squire, however, he was punished for his family's escape. Tyanna questioned him. For nine days straight. He died on the last day and his body was left in the town's square.
That same year, Queen Alys gave birth but it was "to a monstrosity." Queen Tyanna convinced Maegor that it was because Alys had been having secret affairs. Maegor did not believe it and called Tyanna a barren, jealous witch.
So, Tyanna gave Maegor a list of twenty men she claimed slept with Alys. This led to the extinction of House Harroway, as well as the torture and execution of dozens of alleged lovers. Tyanna tortured Alys herself. It went on for nearly a fortnight until the queen died.
Tyanna could not give Maegor an heir.
So the King wed three 'Black Brides'; Elinor Costayne, Jeyne Westerling and his niece, Rhaena, three years later.
Tyanna had to force Rhaena to be obedient by threatening her daughters, Aerea and Rhaella. Some stories claim that Tyanna gave Jeyne a fertility potion the night of the wedding but the new bride tossed it into Tyanna's face.
A year later, Queen Jeyne birthed a stillborn 'monstrosity,' and rumours spread that Maegor was cursed.
In his anger, Maegor bid two of his Kingsguard; Ser Owen Bush and Ser Maladon Moore, to bring Tyanna to the dungeons. As the torturers prepared their tools, she confessed.
Tyanna had been responsible for both Alys and Jeyne's 'abominations', claiming she had poisoned the babies in their mother's wombs. She then promised that the same fate would befall the pregnant Elinor.
Tyanna was killed by Maegor himself. He cut out her heart with Blackfure and threw it to his dogs. Two moons later, Elinor did in fact birth a stillborn 'monstrosity.'
That same year, Maegor died on the Iron Throne. His headsman, gaolers and confessors were all condemned by King Jaehaerys I Targaryen for having aided Tyanna in the death of his elder brother, Prince Viserys.
According to some rumours, Tyanna was not loved by her mother-in-law, Queen Visenya Targaryen, or by anyone else for that matter. She is remembered as a black-hearted woman who was hated and feared.

I saw someone on here mention how Alys and Elizabeth Woodville do not have any striking parallels and just felt the need to write about how they do in fact have quite a few different similarities. I've always been a huge enthusiast when it comes to The Wars of the Roses and find that period of history incredibly compelling (not to mention GRRM himself has acknowledged how it inspires ASOIAF and his work as a writer which is clearly evident in some of the characters he's created) so I felt compelled to write about this and share my own thoughts.
Both Alys and Elizabeth were polarizing women accused of being devious and using witchcraft/sorcery to "bewitch" a powerful royal who was exceedingly above them in rank; Elizabeth was reviled by the court as she was not an advantageous match for Edward IV politically at all and she and her family’s rise in status caused envy among many. She was older than him, already had children of her own, and was a widow; all of these aspects made her a scandalous woman which the court looked down upon with great disdain and scrutiny. Even now, historians continue to debate whether she actually loved Edward IV and returned his affection or if her primary goal was centered around using him to advance her rank and that of her family. Similarly, the maesters in F&B (as well as numerous people within the fanbase) create a villanious and cartoonish sort of figure when describing Alys as she is perceived as an unsuitable and unlikely match for Aemond - an unusual servant who has had several stillbirths and sees visions is a clear departure from the chaste, agreeable maiden they expected him to fall for. In addition, Elizabeth and Edward were said to have been married in secret whereas Alys and Aemond were ALSO rumored to be married secretly before his death according to Alys (she is referred to as his widow by other characters in F&B so it seems this was an accepted consensus among people and not something she invented). Another detail that stands out and further binds them together is that Elizabeth's father's title was Baron Rivers. Perhaps all of these links are simply coincidental (although I highly doubt that since this is GRRM) but it would be disingenuous to insinuate they do not exist whatsoever because one does not wish to see them.
While opinions vary greatly when it comes to Alys's motivations and true feelings (just as historians disagree about Elizabeth's personality and her relationship with Edward IV), I think it's fascinating to see how the negative reactions to controversial/mysterious women oftentimes mimic how female historical figures were unfairly judged and lazily reduced to common, reductive labels still recycled in the media today (such as forcing them into restrictive boxes where they're either a calculating seductress or helpless damsel). Many people seem to believe that strong-minded female characters can only be written as emotionless caricatures who use their charms (such as their sexuality) to get ahead for their own ambitions and while that trope is commonly seen in film/television and used as a storyline, I believe these ambitious and cunning women can be shown to have agency of their own while still being vulnerable, lonely, and open to love/companionship. That does not make them less empowering or intelligent by any stretch of the imagination; it makes them human. Women can contain a myriad of different traits and motives while still being interesting. That's how I hope the writers will approach Alys and it's also what I believe to be the more intriguing route to go when it comes to well-rounded, complex storytelling.

Trigger Warning: mentions of stillbirth, torture, blood, violence and death.
Alys Harroway was a noblewoman from House Harroway, her father Lucas Harroway was the Lord of Harrenhal who became the Hand of the King for Maegor after the marriage between Alys and the King.
Alys had at least four other siblings, but she was very close to her two sisters Jeyne and Hanna. In 39 AC, Dowager Queen Visenya performed a Valyrian wedding ceremony on Dragonstone between Alys and Maegor. No other septon would do it, and King Aenys did not know of Maegor's decision.
When Aenys found out, he was furious as was the rest of the realm. Soon Alys became known as "Maegor's Whore." With nothing but anger in his heart, King Aenys gave Maegor an ultimatum; rid himself of Alys or go into exile for five years.
Maegor chose the latter option. In 40 AC Alys left Westeros for Pentos, accompanying Maegor in his exile.
Two years later, Aenys had died.
Dowager Queen Visenya flew on Vhagar to bring Maegor back to Westeros, however, when they returned to King's Landing, Maegor faced the Faith Militant who had risen in rebellion against Aenys the year before.
Maegor fought seven Warrior's Sons in a trial of seven and won, but fell into a coma. And after twenty-eight days, Alys returned from Pentos. She brought Tyanna of the Tower and six hundred sellswords with her.
Tyanna was rumored to be Alys' lover.
Some months later, Maegor took Tyanna as his third wife, with Alys presiding over the bedding ceremony. She joined Maegor and Tyanna on their wedding night.
Five years after their marriage, Alys became pregnant.
Grand Maester Desmond had Alys confined to her bed. She was cared for by two septas, a midwife, her sisters; Jeyne and Hanna as well as Queen Ceryse and Queen Tyanna (on the orders of Maegor).
Tragedy struck when Alys went into labor after only three months. Bleeding heavily, she gave birth to a stillborn child who was, "eyeless and twisted."
Maegor had those in charge of Alys' care executed, sparing only her sisters (and the Queens).
After the deaths, Queen Tyanna told Maegor that he had been lied to. That the child was not of him, but the result of Alys's 'many affairs.' Tyanna told Maegor that Alys was scared of not giving him a healthy son, due to the "old, embittered, and childless Queen Ceryse." She did not want to be like her.
According to Tyanna, Alys pleaded for her father's help and he gave it. So, on the nights that Maegor was sharing a bed with his other queens, Lucas sent men of confirmed fertility to Alys's chambers.
Immediately Maegor refused these claims, but Tyanna gave him a list of twenty names as proof...The men were tortured, done so in secret as to not alert Alys and her father. Apparently all but two confessed.
One night, Queen Alys was dragged out of bed by the Kingsguard, and her two sisters were killed trying to defend her. Their father was pushed off of the Tower of the Hand. And Alys's brothers, uncles and cousins were put on spikes.
And yet the young Queen received the worst death. She was given to Tyanna. It took a fortnight for Alys to die. All the while she endured agonising torture, with Maegor present. After she died, her body was severed into seven parts and mounted on spikes above the seven gates of King's Landing.
Soon after, Maegor went to Harrenhal, where House Harroway resided. He killed everyone with even a drop of Harroway blood. He continued until House Harroway was no more.
Four years later, Queen Tyanna confessed she had poisoned Alys and the babe in her womb.
