"ELPIS, SPIRIT OF HOPE"
by Brian Wooden
After completing his studies at Savannah College of Art and Design Brian Wooden says he was drawn to Nashville by the music, but has now called the city home for a decade. "Deeply influenced by pop and street art," Alive Magazine describes Wooden's work as merging "punk spirit with clean, cartoonish lines and cotton-candy colors." In 2004 The American Cancer Society added to its Hope Lodge program with a new 41 guest room facility on Charlotte Ave in Nashville. Last year Wooden brought new attention to the facility with this colorful depiction of Elpis, the spirit of hope from Greek mythology.

Phillips Chevrolet Makes Strides Against Breast Cancer
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and here at Phillips Chevrolet we are joining the fight! We have dedicated the month of October to raising funds for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer initiative. Sales Manager, Mike Herris, checks our progress board to see that we have reached $12,175, surpassing our goal of $10,000 by month’s end! The American Cancer Society will use these funds for breast cancer research, providing information and support, and programs to help early detection and breast cancer risk reduction. Phillips Chevrolet in Frankfort, Lansing and Bradley has Illinois’ Largest Chevy Inventory and a commitment to giving back to the communities we serve.

Had an amazing Turn out last Night for my singing at SL Sci-Fi Con! So many people enjoyed Z0wie singing David Bowie covers live on Dark Star Radio that I did some other songs when I went into 20 minutes of over time to make the littles happy!! I not only sang David Bowie, but I also sang Nirvana, The Cranberies, The Carpenters & 2 of my favorite songs from Lion King. Unfortunately, it's been a long time since I sang like that and apparently it has made me feel completely drained and ill today. So I'm going to lay down today.
