Hate being a toma stan bc a. Hes toma . (Fucked up and evil. And b. Because hes so much lost potential it pisses me off... Toma in heart route >>>> toma in diamond.

I think hes fascinating in the sense that his fears and worries are legitimate but no matter how "correct" he may be he doesnt have the right to take another persons autonomy as he sees fit. There have been many times in my life where I have feared for my friends' lives and in my mind id be like "why cant i just take care of you and make you happy" and the answer to that is bc theyre sentient human beings 🐴. I feel like tomas route doesnt address the dilemma of that as much as it couldve because i think its interesting... i know not everyone wants a lil ethics lesson or whatever but considering how in heart route hes forced to take responsibility for the shitty things he did i dont think this debate would be too out of place in diamond world. Ultimately how toma feels is understandable, combined with the fact that he trusts no one but himself and may be extremely paranoid... very interesting. But again his methods are unreasonable and just because his feelings are valid doesnt mean its rational and he took it too far...

i think diamond route shouldve explored his anxiety, why he is the way he is, and maybe heroine couldve helped him through being a less paranoid person, resisting his overcontrolling personality and letting her take some responsibility for herself as well bc shes a grown ass adult. And showing him that theres always going to be a better alternative such as just. Talking things out. BC SHES TOO MUCH OF A DOORMAT IM SORRY 😭😭😭 i dont mean to victimblame she didnt deserve anything that happened to her its just. Her dialouge is too flat it makes me angry.

i’m losing my mind!!

so i’m playing amnesia memories for the first time, right? and i’ve read reviews, and what i got that there is one good boy, and others have questionable relationships with mc, including a guy who locked her in a cage. and i don’t want that. like at all. i want to avoid that.

but i decide ‘hey, i’m usually a good judge of otome characters , so i can probably pick good boy and less questionable boys by myself without using any guides or remembering the names of characters to avoid’. i just need to avoid a crazy cage man, who hard can it be?

so i decide to start with the blonde guy’s route,

because he seemed nice and childhood friends - fun! also diamond is red, so it’s nice. and this a stupid logic, but the crazy cage guy is probably a spade

he’s very helpful, it’s good that mc such a good friend, who supports her.

weird, that the battery and charger are missing. and i questioning you, boy. but it’s alright.

and then he does some more questionable stuff, and i start to distrust him more, but he’s not the cage guy, pfff. he’s not that obsessive. he’s definitely not mc’s boyfriend, but it’s alright.

now he forced mc to live at his place. but he doesn’t have a dog, and you obviously need a dog to have a cage.. but there is no even place for a cage. so it’s alright… i think?

he doesn’t allow mc to leave his place.. did i really picked the cage guy as my first route? i couldn’t, but maybe?

for fucks sake!!!! TOMA I TRUSTED YOU AT THE BEGINNING!! like really really at the beginning before the whole missing charger and battery for a laptop thing, but stilll!!! i didn’t expect you to be the cage guy, whyyyyy.

i must admit i do not dislike toma do to the cage im actually kinda into that…

i dislike him because i feel like his personality,route and design is significantly underdeveloped compared to the others and that he was just thrown in to have a yandere (ukyo doesn’t really count as his violence isn’t caused by possessive obsessive love but not wanting to die) like even sawa and mine feel more fleshed out in personality and interests and there side characters.

and it pisss me off cus he could’ve been a cute ass house husband male wife yandere but instead he’s was too boring and ugly to be doing the shit he was
