the fact that tubi has so many of those animated movies i used to watch as a kid has me planning for a childhood movie week

#i started laughing when so many were showing up cuz i had watched a few on youtube maybe last month #but at least on tubi there was a bit more and even had the ones i hadn't seen as a kid #now if they just had the carebears from the 80s and 90s that'll be swell #cuz if i have to watch a holiday movie soon its gotta be the nutcracker #either barbie or carebears nutcracker cuz i still like to find happiness in childhood #tho i did raise a brow when they had the secret of nihm in the kids section cuz i remember i was terrified of that movie as a kid #like i had the dvd but i never touched it after i'd watched it maybe once or twice #idk it's just been so long i can't remember much other then being scared cuz it wasn't like thumbelina or anastasia #or like all dogs go to heaven cuz i remember i did get a little scared but never as scared as the secret of nihm

Also, personality-wise, I know that Dorothea and Anya are very distinct and that if one were to compare Dorothea to one of the Archduchesses, poised and elegant Tatiana, along with sweet Maria, would be the most attuned to how Dorothea is in her canon story.

BUT. BUT.

A great reason as to why Dorothea is how she is (poised, mindful of what she says, well-mannered etc. etc.) it's also part of how she was brought up, in her canon story, by her mama, her papa, and Byron.

BUT WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF THEY WEREN'T THERE TO GUIDE HER AS THEY HAD DONE IN HER ORIGINAL STORY?

HOW WOULD DOROTHEA BE, IF THE PEOPLE THAT SHAPED HER THE MOST WERE NOT THERE BECAUSE THE OCTOBER REVOLUTION HAPPENED AND THE RUSSIAN EMPIRE FELL?

So, this exploration has genuinely brought a nice "What if?" flavor to both the artwork and my own brainstorming for the story.
