What’s funny to me is that MHA’s Shoto Todoroki/Momo Yaoyorozu was the supposed “canon” ship for the characters involved. Especially before it became (increasingly) apparent that their “canonicity” is HIGHLY unlikely. Yeah, it’s easy to assume that the pair are “supposed” to be together due to their looks and socioeconomic status. However, I think Todoroki/Yaomomo will likely struggle to function as a “healthy, romantic couple” (much less resolve conflict in a healthy way). During the exam with Eraser Head, their behaviour/attitude toward each other were very telling (in my opinion). Given Kohei Horikoshi’s writing style, he’ll probably come up with some bullshit adjacent to “wiping tears with money.” Doesn’t help that neither Todoroki or Yaomomo have enough differences to balance/contrast each other.

This coming from someone who doesn’t mind the pair platonically. (No offence to the non-toxic fans. 👈💅)

Agreed. No hate to shippers though. I actually do understand the idea, yknow, two beautiful smart rich kids together, they would look perfect together but i personally always find it as forced and superficial.

First of all, as you mentioned anon, they dont have 'the balance'. Usually, if two characters are 'parallels', their similar sides may lead them to understand and relate each others while their opposite sides may lead them to attract, challenge and even balance each others. That kind of pair always works. Because thats actually how most healthy partnerships works, whether its romantic or platonic.

For example, Shouto and Izuku are both abuse victims which is why they can relate and they would rather trust each others than trusting an adult or any autoharity figures while Izuku's expressive and anxious nature match with Shouto's calm natures. Or Shigaraki and Toga. Toga's positive nature balance Shigaraki's hatred while their bratty monstrous side make them relate to each others.

Ironically Shouto and Momo is opposite of this.

Their similar side is that they are both airheaded, rich, beautiful kids with amazing quirks. They are both sheltered kids, this is why their similar side would limit their worldview. Because neither of them does know nothing about being an outcasts or common people. They live in their own world. I think both of them need to see outside of world of their own. But neither of them seems to realize they even need to develop that side of them. This is why this doesnt work. Even their opposite sides, such as Shouto's being abused child while Momo never experienced that. She is naive. There is no abuse in her world. No pain. She wouldnt understand the signs or other things. For example, Ochaco is similar to Momo about this. She isnt abused but because of her family's sitution and all, she notices when people are in pain but Momo isnt. Not blaming her though since thats how she was raised. But this is why their relationship doesnt work. Momo and Shouto cant balance or challenge or really relate each others as characters is why i dont ship them.

Though, i wouldnt be surprised, if it becomes canon because Momo is the only 'female student' he seems to really interact with and Momo repeatedly said she trusts 'Todoroki-san' or how she appears randomly each others arc, such as how happy Momo looked for Shouto on license exam from background or how Shouıto randomly starts talking for Momo at class a vs class b arc. These are actually my problem with this ship. Because it isnt earned.

As you said anon, Aizawa is the one who noticed Momo was having problem and thats why Shouto helped her. Not because he noticed that she was having trouble. And he gave her courage by saying he voted for her.

Look, i do understand why Momo would admire Shouto. He is the best, strongest student in her class. Who wouldnt be happy, if class best student said they trust you to win the match and i do understand why Shouto would trust her abilities since she is smart and very good at making plans. But thats it.

Why would Momo trust Shouto to the point she would go against the rules to save Bakugou? I mean, we know Shouto is kind, trustworthy as audience but Momo doesnt know that?? He never showed that side of him to her. She knows nothing about him. She puts him on high regard since the beginning even when he was Earlyroki, just because boy looks perfect but Shouto needs someone who wouldnt view him as perfect. I would rather to see this as just some admiration or small attraction than actual love. It makes more sense that way.

Compare this to Iida, Izuku, Ochaco, Shouto group. Group trust Izuku because he broke his own body to help people, to help Ochaco, to help Shouto, to help Iida but what did Shouto do for her to trust him that much? Nothing.

Also the scene when Shouto speaks for her of all people is kinda laughable to me. Like, Shouto, you know nothing about Momo. You guys dont even talk at all. You wouldnt know how she would feel or think. It would makes more sense if it was Jirou who said that since 1- they interacts a lot 2- at usj attack, she saved her and Kaminari. Wouldnt it makes more sense Jirou to speak for her, like how much smart she is or show she feels lack of confidence sometimes and all.

I keep saying it feels forced and superficial because they trust each other's abilities and thats why they trust each others but as person, they are strangers.

Well, lack of interaction between kids in class1a is one of the issues with writing. Especially between female-male relationships. This is why 'gay' ships seems more makes sense lol since author doesnt really bother to develop others (especially female characters). But i think some of those relationships still feels deep and makes sense, while those two doesnt. And it isnt well build at all. Though, just as i menitoned at first, because of their dynamic, i still wouldnt like it. Its like shoujo manga romance, kinda innocent cool handsome rich boy x pretty rich girl dynamic, to me, its undermines both of their characters because they are more than this.

During the story;

Momo is hardly part of main plot. She is beautiful. She is talented. She has parents and friends who uncontionally loves her. She is smart. She is good girl. She seems to interacts with Jirou and others. Her rivalry with Kendou is interesting. She hardly even talk with Shouto.

Shouto is one of the main characters. Story focus on his relationships with family the most. His main hero partners are Izuku and Bakugou. His best friends and only people he seems to prefer to hang out is Izuku and Iida. And he is literally experiencing one of the most important events in his life during the story. And yknow what? Momo is not part of it. She is just there with others.

Though, it is always fun to explore different ideas or ships and thats why i was kinda interested in some analysis. But yknow, when you read some posts, you feel 'its reachin'. Thats how i feel about Todo//momo, Kacch//acho and Bakugou/Aizawa posts.

Like when two characters existing in same scene or wearing similar clothes or just standing side by side, some fans immediately look for making it look deeper than it actually is. (Though, you might say this is the case for every ship but some of them at least makes sense.) This is how i feel when i read comments about todomomo. It feels a lot like kinda crack ship in canon while it treated as it is better than that.

Another biggest example of this is Uraraka vs Bakugou. People like the idea of Bakugou trusting Uraraka so much that they ignore the fact that she is the only person he asked 'are you sure?' before the match, or how he thought it was Izuku's plan or we all know the only reason Bakugou is serious when it comes to matches ebcause he couldnt care less if others person gets hurts. People really think that romance would fix the problem with Bakugou. Especially, of all characters, its Ochaco. It doesnt make sense emotionally intelligence girl like Ochaco who was raised with love to fall in love with abusive guy like Bakugou who calls people with nicknames and constantly being rude to them for no reason, instead of kind boys like Izuku, Iida or Shoutoo respects who her as person since the beginning. Only girls who would date with toxic guys are whether they are naive or most likely they are abused at home. Ochaco isnt either of them. And Bakugou already has someone whom he naturally bond, it is Kirishima. Which is why even though i dont personally ship, i think kiribaku makes sense.

And with Bakugou, i dont know. I feel like fandom is kinda protective of his character. You cant make posts about it without being 'anti'. Like, certain part of the fandom treats them as just people who wants Bakugou to suffer, despite the fact that %90 of the 'anti bakugou' fans has problem with writing. Most posts less about 'hatred for character', more about 'writing criticism'. I mean fandom is very comfortable with cricitising Izuku for every single mistake he does, they cant do that with Bakugou too? Izuku becomes copycat for copying Allmight but when Bakugou does, it is cute. Izuku gets hate for telling Shouto, he is kind for forgiving, even though he clearly didnt mean to say not forgiving is unkind while Bakugou shouts at Fuyumi for no reason and he gets away with narrative and fandom. It is really weird how much narrative (and fandom) overlook Bakugou's abuse towards Izuku and the fact that Bakugou has big plot armor.

Recently, i realized there is similar problem with Aizawa and Endeavour too.

Or Someone's comment about how Bakudeku is simiar to spinnaraki. Yeah, i kidna see the parallels but except yknow, Bakugou abused Deku while Shigaraki never once judged or looked down on Spinner and they actually bond because they both feel empty, not forced connection such as 'you two need to learn from each others'. I would say it looks more like Dabi-Spinner dynamic since Dabi is kinda jerk to Spinner but boy still admires Dabi for his power and all, though at least Dabi isnt really bully to him specifically and Bakudeku dynamic is a lot simişlar to Koutaro-Shigaraki dynamic, Bakugou is literally parallels with Endeavour but its not mentioned enough. So yeah, Bakudeku is another forced relationship and worse, it is toxic.

Basically, Todomomo ship feels forced, unearned and, mostly empty. Supercifical. This story isnt even really about romance whether Shouto or Momo's character isnt about romance at all but in stories, romances can happen but yknow, if its gonna happen, it should be well written. In their cases, well, its not. I would prefer them as good hero partners than as romantic couples.

okay i do need a disclaimer that i am not an F1 scholar by any means i simply enjoy it very casually adn see my lovely mutuals post about it :) like i got into it bc my very offline best friend has loved max forever hes like my most beloved blorbo in law <3. daniel ricciardo is my babygirl though i love his ass. so dont throw rocks at meee

so for in terms of their similarities.... ive talked a little bit about the inherent ego that is tied to racing at the level these guys race at, adn max is definitely in that same vein. he's confident! super sweet off track but in the heat of the race knows when he has to prioritize himself and is not apologetic about it in the least. thats how you win. and thats where him and marc often get into trouble with the media lol (though marc is better at withholding, max will mostly just. say it. king.). but i also think theres a conversation to be had about how any single person in the conversation for GOAT in their respective sport has to be at least mildly crazy in terms of how they relate to their jobs. like obsessive religious devotion from young childhood in many ways.... for vehicular death sport more than mildly methinks. so one fun thing is that whenever they meet they can kind of talk to each other about racing in circles forever bc they love it :) freak4freak friendship where they relate to each other bc their sports are in conversation but not competition with each other, which makes the convo more fun! and it means they can literally just sit there and explain racing to someone who understands what its like to be a too-young protege champion but has enough gaps in their knowledge that a lot of info is mostly new. that must be pretty interesting to them both (especially max who loves that shit lol)

but the thing about max (and again im not a scholar) is that his childhood is so dominated by this complex entanglement between racing and his family and his father and all that mess. marc doesnt really have that same familial trauma tied to this huge polestar of his life (there are other traumas adn other family weirdness with marc but uhhhh this aint about that.) like max absolutely has that dog in him. but i think if he got super injured like marc he wouldnt necessarily do the crazy resilient comeback against all odds like marc did, i think he would retire! and some part of him would be kind of quietly relieved that he can let it go without disappointing anyone and then he'd go on the sim 8 hours a day adn be pretty happy. in a way marc absolutely would not be. but again i am no expert!!

DAY 1 KENNY MCCORMICK, general hc alphabet.

A. Admitting feelings.

he'd admit his feelings willingly, he defintely confessed first. he would make it a very special event however, he'd bring flowers and he'd bake a sweet you like just for you, show up at your house as he tells what you mean to him.

B. Bad Habit.

having a lot of physical attraction towards people, he loves you so much, he'd never love someone else like he loves you, but he does compliment others a lot, not just to be nice but because he finds people attractive. he thinks you dont really like that about him

C. Commitment.

he wouldn't expect to get married, have kids and all that, but if it does get to that point he's happily doing what he should to mantain the relationship. he loves you a lot, and he wouldn't leave you for anyone!

D. Damage.

its not actual serious damage, but since he's been with people whos used him just for sex, he'd find it weird if you arent over him 24/7 asking to be laid, he doesnt really mind though

E. Energy

he isnt energetic, but isnt inactive either, he does go to parties frequently however, but he always invites you! if you dont want to go, its a big chance he wont either. theres always a special occasion however where he does go with you, he texts you every hour though

F. First date

for a first date, he'd want it to be very romantic and all, maybe a movie date or dinner at a fancy restaurant (which you'd pay for) or just sitting at a grass filled garden, picking flowers and cuddling with him, whatever you'd like the most

he LOVES vacations, will go anywhere, out of the country or just a hotel near the state. if its with you, he'd even go to the moon so

he'd like to have better hygiene but due to the cough financial situation, he usually showers or brushes his teeth at your house, your parents are happy with it of course

hes VERY initiative, always starts things, and barely gives you a chance to recommend going somewhere or do something.

doesnt get jealous quite often to be honest, if anything you would get jealous of random girls trying to ask him out. but will not hesitate to beat ass for you

he loves kissing you<3 he gives you kisses all the time especially during cuddle sessions. his kisses are either passionate or quick goodbye kisses.

jimmy from what i am meagerly piecing together had an OK upbringing and parents that "looked after him" but i think found his disability shameful and secretly kind of felt burdened by having a child who needed so much medical care? like emotionally and financially?

her mother? poor, modest, v excited to have a daughter. her f*ther? HWAKTHU. fluctuating between rich and poor, gambling his life away, alw fucking around, messing w the wrong people, scamming!

scammer on scammer hate crime ensues when a dubious low budget genie irl tells sera's dad "give me all the $$$ u have. but dw dw! i can grant u a wish... such as.... i'll give ur newborn daughter the power of Luck." and he leaves out the part that Luck is bad n good.

and what does her dad do? he listens!!! a born, living, lucky charm? sign him tf up!!!! he waits for sera to be born, tells her mom that he has to leave n he will take sera (so he doesnt have to share the lucky charm yknow), the mom tries to fight for the daughter but... ope... person w money vs person w no money.... yea... head low.

sooooo, she spends her childhood pretty happy. daddy's girl n all! w an ability that she believes to be some form of Good Luck Manip. she sees her dad as the best man in the world and he. loves. it. why? bc it makes her ability v powerful and he keeps on winning, buying expensive things, not being caught etc etc... just living the best life off of sera... but ofc. nothing lasts forever.

sera enters her teenage years and hell breaks loose. she accidentally learns that her mother didnt abandon them (as per her dad's fake sob story), she figures out that her dad is no Fair businessman and it alllll comes crumbling down.

so young and so shaken up with new, different emotions, she quickly learns that she can manifest bad luck as well. luckily(?) for her dad, she was still in denial so the bad luck wasnt strong enough to k*ll him off.... but it did take away all of his riches which cld count as murder in his books. long story short, he becomes a Monster, trashes her things, kicks her out, leaves her out in the street w nothing.

i'll try to make this part rlly brief bc i want her Trauma to be traumaing but i also dont want to get into graphic deets!! couch surfing at a friend. friend dies. parents hate her. sera starts searching for her mom, someone tells her that she's dead. ope... sera tries to end it all bc of that by drowning. randomly gets saved. ends up living w this cute ol lil lady, a retired nurse, who feels like a grandma figure for sera... baow. accidental bad luck manifestation makes them get into an accident, guess who survives thru survival luck and who doesnt. yea....

so ... you may be thinking ... now what. WELL. she hears abt sua ... abt the Patch (one that she cldnt afford/get her hands onto) so she decides well. im sick of being the bad guy (accidentally) all the time, im sick of spiraling, im sick of my ability fluctuating. let me become a nurse and help out! maybe i'll finally get to use my power for proper good this time....

soooooo she tries to cheer up during her uni years. she gets more control over her ability but theres still lots to learn! her emotions still affect her deeply but its no longer THAAAAAAAAT bad.

her goals? become a v v v good nurse. gain complete control over her ability and use it w her job. help ppl w her power. find her mom. and... devious smile..... find her dad to k*ll him w the bad luck.

ㅤㅤㅤ 𖹭 ㅤㅤㅤ ability .

luck manip!!! she can give u good luck or bad luck!!! her eyes turn green when it's good luck & black when it's bad luck! she can touch u, look at u, think of u, it works either way! ofc, she can do more w a touch than w a thought!

she can make you get the luck you need to find your keys or to win the lottery! she can make you spill ur coffee all over ur new clothes or get u vvv sick! anything goes! if it's a casual ez kind of luck (keys, coffee), then she'll need a few moments to regain her energy. if its smth more extreme (lottery, sickness), she needs a few days (even up to a week), to recover!!! the more complex it is, the more it drains her energy!

it's all within d laws of physics & limits of 'reality' ! so she cant get you to magically materialize ur lost keys back and she cant spill invisible coffee on u! ALSO!!! this ability only works in like... idk.... a 100-200 miles radius!

her Survival Luck is also present n exists and she can (and has alrdy) managed to survive a bunch of extreme situations (see above)! however, the Way that she survives it.... out of her control fr.... cld be a scratch, cld be 5 broken bones, not up to sera!

ㅤㅤㅤ 𖹭 ㅤㅤㅤ brief personality .

she's v chill and looooooves helping people!!! not super hyper BUT still a fun girl nonetheless! not boring by any means despite being v toned down and lowkey!

DESPITE the previous bullet point, she is extremely afraid of getting attached to people and LET ALOOOOONE love them so she tries to keep everyone at arms length. why? obv bc of her ability and her fear of not being able to control it properly... she doesnt want another friend + grandma incident.

has a tendency to become mellow / nostalgic and can be caught overthinking... which she tries to do while on that nullivi .... ofc! LDFDFGJJ

played the Heretic of Hollow Street today (instead of working LOL) and i liked it! i keep hoping one of these stories is gonna be really bad bc i dont know how im gonna pick the best and worst of 2019....

anyway my full thoughts under the cut

ok so im working for a mysterious barber on hollow street, who offers hair cuts and also Some Other Thing??? i assume we were all thinking that this was gonna be fallen london Sweeney Todd. But thankfully there was no cannibalism, which is good, because I think of cannibalism in Fallen London to be like. idk the equivalent of saying "insert scary twist here." It's just so booooooooooring, and, frankly, is usually just used for shock value, containing less social commentary than Sweeney Todd actually had. So I was glad this one wasnt another cannibalism story.

Actually, the Barber (who can no longer... uh... barb? because he aint got no fingies) has you cut away people's memories with a special knife, which... well I was gonna argue that it's a kind of cannibalism to destroy and consume what makes someone themselves, but I don't actually get to consume their memories, so I guess it's not. Forget I said that! You cut people's hair and you cut people's memories, and you learn the Barber's ultimate goal was to attract the attention of some friends of his, who betrayed him. He wants to remove their memories of the betrayal, so they stop feeling bad about it. He can't hold it against them! He would have done the same! It was just bad luck, honestly.

(big spoilies)

Turns out, when the Barber worked in the kitchen at the university (i forget if they said- I think Benthic?), he befriended 3 rich students. Later, he learned about a temple in the Forgotten Quarter that would give you Big Knowledge or smth, and he got his friends to go with him. In the end, they sacrificed him so they could learn whatever it was they wanted to learn from the temple. He ended up in Parabola, and swore to the service of the Red Handed Queen, who demands he get revenge on his friends who betrayed him. He needed you to remove their memories of what they did to him, or they wouldn't trust him enough to go with him to the Forgotten Quarter again, so he can betray them this time.

You have the option to not to any of this- you can stick to cutting people's hair and not their memories, and you can betray the Barber and save the lives of his former friends, if you want

The thing is.... ok so the art of the Heretical Barber shows that he is a black man, and the art used for his friends are all of white men. The barber worked in the kitchens when he met them, and one of them says that they only hung out with him as a joke and they never really liked him. I know racism is (ALLEGEDLY) not present in fallen london but um. well i think maybe a racism happened here. so i was happy to let those guys die lol. play bitch games, win bitch prizes!

i played amnesia: rebirth and i really liked it and have some Thoughts(tm):

non-spoilery:

- once again mad respect to frictional games for being the only people who arent afraid of nudity. no censorship underwear.

-theres a non-spook mode for if you hate being chased by stuff

- diversity win! this guy who's the most pathetic little meow meow is gay!

- i didn't have to look up any walkthroughs!

-i tried it with both spooks on and spook off and having spooks on is better. embrace the spook.

-game has some pretty visuals and a neat story, and while i wish choices throughout the game mattered, there are different endings. p good game.

SPOILERY BEYOND HERE(do readmores even work anymore):

-as a trans(tm) the first person pregnancy was uhhhhhhhh. dont like that. but that feeling didnt last long, mostly because tasi was so happy about having a baby. its cute.

-that being said i didn't want to run around and jump and climb because TASI UR PREGNANT STOP DOING THAT

-it felt so much less lonely than the other two, it was nice to have a list of people that you were trying to find and meet up with

- i like how yasmine still tried to help even though she was becoming a harvester, she's such a sweetie

- dr. metzier was so mean to tasi, like dude. even if tihana hadn't been the one to bring down the plane, and the one to curse everyone, tasi still would have been in the right to keep her baby. everyone died because tihana killed them. none of it would have happened if she had just minded her own buisness, but the doc was just. so angery at tasi?? dude.

-at the room full of harvesters i straight up opened the door, saw that, closed the door and turned around

- shadow seems like a manifestation of all the pain inflicted on the other world, like its the opposite of the vitae. could b wrong but thats just my onion.

- best ending is the fuck u lady ending even though the shadow eats you and your baby

-hhh i wanna know more about the other world politics, especially about people fighting against the empress

Opinions on characters(that actually speak more than like. 3 words.):

Hank- hands down best dude. total bro, i just wish he didn't die by being hanged by the cable when you use the elevator. that was a bit. mm. tasteless? tone deaf? maybe dont hang one of the two black characters frictional games??

Alex- *insert second diversity win joke about rich buisnessman having the saddest most pathetic little meow meow as a boyfriend*

Richard- quality representation for us useless gays. terrified little meow meow. on a more serious note, i clocked him and alex from the first photo, and im glad tasi confirms that they're in a relationship, and that when you find richard, he's calling out for alex. i really hoped that you'd be able to stop tasi by struggling, but not so. i think it would have made for a neat thing if you had a choice with both him and the doc.

Dr. Metzier - speaking of the doc, i did not see him stealing the baby coming. he's such a jerk for blaming tasi, "oh you'd put the lives of all of us behind that of your child" like no my dude. if someone locked you in a room and said they were going to start shooting people if you didn't give them your baby, you wouldn't be the one responsible for the people being shot.

Leon- might be the only person from the Cassandra to survive? ik he looses his hand but he's still alive after. thats gotta suck, bc he's stuck in the catacombs/hunting grounds with all the other harvesters, so he's probably going to loose himself. i feel bad for him even though he's Pretty Dang Racist, bc he didn't do or say anything outright until after being harvesterized, so i think that had things gone normally and everyone got to the gold mine ok, he might have been able to Stop Being So Racist.

Tasi- legit didn't touch the laudnum after i realized she was pregnant, only to discover there was no effect on her. she's a nice lady, sucks that the empress decided she wanted tasi's baby. "hold x to check in on your baby" is something im going to say now.

Salim- aww cute husband shame he's fuckin dead. i wasn't expecting to find him alive but i still got real sad when i did find him. i like the details that tell you your marriage licence got denied and the photo saying 'how about we do anyways'

Yasmin- even as a harvester she's friend shaped. even puts her leg in a bear trap bc she doesn't want to hurt tasi. 10/10 yasmin is best friend in this game

Empress Tihana - i don't believe for a second she really meant any of what she said about saving tasi from the desert because a, she's the one who brought down the plane, b, she's sustained by endless torturing and claims she's not a monster, so forgive me if i dont think she's being honest. c, the major hazards of this particular area of the desert are her harvesters, actually. the entire crew of the cassandra, the french fort, the village, all those people are dead because she wanted someone else's baby. love her design tho very cool.

well, i mean - he hates the entirety of wutai (that’s pretty terrible). haha, i think that the thing with heidegger is that initially, he didn’t even care for countries or places / where somebody’s from. i think he does live by stereotypes; he looks at certain places in the world and will judge people based on them (not necessarily in a harsh way) but more of a - for example - i write him as being from junon and junon was traditionally a fishing town / sea-town. so if somebody said they were from junon, he’d mention the sea.

however, his hatred of wutai / the wutai people is more-so born from his personal loss at the hands of wutai.

so usually, whereas heidegger would be like ‘yeah, whatever, fuck gongaga. we’re gonna build a reactor there, i dont care a fuck if it explodes’. and not have an opinion on the people. for wutai - he’d be like ‘good, yeah. fuck that place and fuck it’s people’.

i headcanon that heidegger takes a particular prejudice with wutai because of the way shinra has done so terribly in the war against them for years (until sephiroth comes along). he entirely takes the loss personally, and sees it as something that reflects on himself. i also headcanon that his scar and the reason he stopped fighting on the front lines was because of wutai and so that’s another reason why he hates the place so much and will find any excuse to go to war with them. it’s a dumbass, prejudice view to have and is probably one of the worst that heidegger holds.

as a side-note, also his classism. which is arguably as bad, seeing as it’s not birthed from anything but him being raised rich.

5. What’s makes your muse respect someone? Are they capable of respecting others without reason?

heidegger doesn’t respect anybody until he sees them in action. like, he likes strength and he likes boldness. he isn’t the sort to respect someone snakey or underhanded (even if he, himself, is very underhanded in his tactics).

for example, him and shinra are such good friends because he respects the way that shinra is ruthless and gets what he wants. he admires the mans ability to win. i see heidegger as a bit of a bloodhound so when he smells blood, he’s happy. if somebody has a kill count and they’re efficient, he’ll like them regardless of whether they’re fighting for the right or wrong side.

in a way, he’d probably actually very much like somebody like barret (for example) because barret is very strong-willed and heidegger likes people like that. unfortunately (or fortunately, idk haha) for barret - he’s in AVALANCHE and believes the ‘wrong’ things in heidegger’s view.

heidegger would never respect somebody without a reason (aside from his kids).

6. Do they automatically assume certain people are lesser than them?

yes, absolutely. i mentioned briefly above that heidegger is very classist. he sees those living in the slums as unworthy (drilled into him at a young age by his parents / military academy). however, heidegger’s arrogance goes one step further - he sees like 90% of people as less than him.

in a weird way, he has a sort of complex that tells him he’s done more and therefore deserves more than others. it’s this idea that he should be treated better and be above others because he’s made sacrifices in the past (a bit of a martyr complex honestly!)

9. What’s a line your muse won’t cross under any circumstance?

i’ve actually mentioned in my rules how heidegger is a lot of things but one for sa / r/pe he is not. i mentioned it there because i used to get approached for it a lot. i think that people see a big, angry guy who is kind of a dick and they assume he would sink to that level, too. but the fact is. heidegger absolutely wouldn’t. the man is physical and he’s aggressive, yes. but i imagine (with me headcanoning him to have two daughters), he isn’t pushy or forceful to women (unless their soldiers and he’s pushing them over a fucking obstacle course or some shit lmao).

also, in a canon sense - when hojo suggests ‘mating’ aerith, heidegger’s reaction is audible and visual disgust. i remember it really irking me when the remake came out because i saw people talking about how ‘the only director who cares’ when hojo mentions this is reeve but that simply is not true. both heidegger and scarlet show visceral disgust. i think it’s poignant that they added this reaction because, to me, it shows that heidegger would never entertain something like that. he’s an asshole, yeah, but he isn’t like that.

(i also love that they included his reaction and made it so prominent, too because, to me, it gave him a little humanity - and i think says a lot because we /barely/ see the reaction from the others. why does it focus on heidegger so prominently? like, urgh, i love the suggestion there by doing so).

Ok so I was Team Jack and defended him a lot but I’m starting to see what people were saying about him. When they first broke up he seemed genuinely upset and V seemed irrational. I felt so bad for him and understood why he would want to keep posts of them up. But lately it seems like V is regretting what happened and trying to make up and Jack is the one being aloof and cold and wanting to move on. Which he’s entitled to if thats how he feels we dont know what was said to make him feel that way BUT I noticed he is deleting negative comments on the posts of him saying cute things about vanjie.…but still keeping those posts up? Why would he do that if he’s truly trying to move on now? It feels like he’s not wanting to give the relationship another chance but still trying to cultivate an image using his relationship with V as his resume to do it in a kinda bullshit fake way? Which is gross?? 🤢He’s also started following reality TV castings and casting directors? It’s putting a bad taste in my mouth. If he wants to be famous he should be aware of how this looks cuz it’s not a cute look. I can imagine dating V is challenging lol. But there are so many pros! Aside from the obvious that V is handsome cute funny rich well travelled interesting generous etc V has that irresistible magic vanjie charisma that radiates likeability. It surrounds her so much it touches the people she cares about and signals to us are worthy of our attention making them more special too by association. I dont know if Jack realizes how valuable that is and what he’s giving up if he lets it go. We saw how the same thing elevated B to even greater heights of fame after season 11. Jack has a good singing voice, he’s really pretty, seems to have a fun sense of humor and seems like a nice person. Hes probably very special to the people in his life who love him. But let’s be honest he doesn’t have stop you in your tracks obvious universal specialness like vanjie has to so many people, star quality that everyone feels on a global megastar level. Other than the fact that hes special to vanjie. Which makes him part of Vs magic circle of charm and watchability. Probably the main reason he was even cast on 24 hours of love is cuz he was such a perfect fit for vanjie. I can’t see him being cast or having much of a selling point as a character on another reality show unless its as vanjies ex (which would be GROSS 🤢 and make him immediately so unlikeable 😬) There are thousands of other good looking nice clean cut guys with pretty singing voices and anxiety in LA alone, let alone the country. There’s only one vanjie. Worldwide. It’s like giving up on Beyonce. Being given the opportunity to play the prince charming who won the heart of the gay nation’s sweetheart made Jack someone really special. He was so good at it! It made him endearing. It was probably hard work sometimes but the potential it gave him in return was huge too. If he really does want to be famous so bad he would be dumb not to do everything he can to make his relationship with V work. For the personal reasons of any genuine feelings he has, and because I truly want him and V to be happy if they can be, but also because it’s his best shot at being someone incredible who people want to know about. THAT is what elevates his other talents and qualities to something really special and interesting as a whole unique character people can buy into. When they were dating he seemed to be really good at being a loving boyfriend and making V happy. That’s a character I wanna follow! He should play to his strengths!! For the potential for his future ALONE its worth it. And if he really was in love with V then he also gets to be with the person he loves. And for us as fans we get to see V happy and fall in love with him for making her happy and being a sweet guy. We’ll wanna support him. Win win, no brainer. No matter how difficult V might be to date it cant possibly be more difficult than it would be for Jack to be as charming and likeable and famous and successful as he could be with V’s help and attention.

maturing is realizing that the eighth doctor (900+) was told not to say 'i love you' unless he genuinely meant those words and all of what it entails with whomever he says to by charley pollard (human blonde) before the time war and tenth doctor (900+), knowing what those words would entail especially when its expected of him after genuinely reliving his war trauma while all the humans there (including the human audience) dont pick up on it except davros (down to losing donna similar to how he lost cinder (another redhead that was labeled brash and yet considered a friend) while he stood there unable to do anything) - and the whiplash of his choice of saying 'does it need saying?' at the end meant he may have said them had rose just found him at a better time. but he doesn't say them. he's mourning the fact he moved on.

ten went and experienced physical and psychological trauma. he's what society would call a man. tentoo only experienced the memory of someone else's recountence of trauma. he is genuinely a trust fund nepo baby who got rose by title alone. he may be the self-proclaimed doctor by appearence but, he was never the doctor that matured beyond war. Tentoo never experienced and went through war - he has the memories of it but, having someone else's memories is not the same as having your OWN memories of a war you NEVER fought in.

rose got to choose between the doctor who physically was there - who has the trauma and has grown to make the decisions that would show the experience while keeping the decision away from emotional interest (to not really show his hand, to keep everyone safe) versus the doctor who wasn't physically there- who does not have the trauma and react essentially like a child being enlisted to a war they never truly understood the ramifications that come with it.

tenth doctor never said i love you because he has experinced loss and didn't want to lose rose - tentoo was a boy with puppy love who wanted to impress his crush and almost got them arrested while playing dressup in his rich dad's clothes - they are not the same... other than both being played by david tennant.

its a happy ending for rose but its not happy ending for doctorrose. we collectively need to get out of that mindset. empire of the rose PROVES that this is our og rose's happy ending. she got the guy from the guy she loved - a guy unburdened by his past and a daughter - but with none of the work that came with it. She loved a guy that came with the monsters but she settled for the one that was unburdened by them. Something the Doctor would've wanted. Rose living a good life.

anyway, i cant wait for billie to do a surprise cameo wearing one of those blonde wigs she wore in i hate suzie fr fr.

He saw that tentoo never had the burden of debating whether it was his right as a time traveler to be the one to cause genocide without a care as long as it meant winning - tentoo only had the memories, a story of the doctor, just like everyone else - and that gave rose her happy ending. someone unburdened by the guilt of their choices. someone that wouldn't doubt themselves or rather someone that isn't limited by their own rhetoric 'no second chances' when it comes to expressing and showing their love verbally as well as actively.

god and 14 going through everything that 11 12 13 went through? i mean the only 10th dr mystery 14 got to solve now is... the midnight entity's origins? like fuck. we're genuinely fucked.
