SEE?!? This is what I'm talking about! This is the exact kind of 'subtle but undeniably present' bad vibes I've been getting from Jeremy Adams.
The whole religious thing rubbed me the wrong way because it was shoe horned in and out of character. Giving Linda (who has always gone by Linda Park) Wally's last name out of nowhere was a massive red flag to me. And now this?
Look, I like the man's writing but I won't turn a blind eye to this. I have serious concerns about his beliefs/ideology. Maybe I'm making a mountain out of a mole hill. Maybe it's fine. But I have concerns.

God is really allowing all my "haha but that will never happen so I don't need to worry" situations to happen 😔

Loving reminder from your land history auntie:
North American golf courses have had 50-100 years of arsenic and mercury based fungicide and herbicides applied to their soils.
Do not eat anything that has been grown on a golf course or downstream from a golf course. I know it sounds cool and radical, but you are too valuable to poison yourself with heavy metals.
Protect each other, turn your local golf course into a pollinator garden, not a sex forest or community garden.

this cultural anthropology class is hell. not because it’s uninteresting or anything, but there’s just one (1) guy who keeps insisting on talking about the “biological differences” between races despite the teacher literally saying that there arent any.

If tumblr dies we should all regroup on vivino the wine-rating app. Can follow, can like, can post pictures, can post text. Just mention a Pinot and Chianti for the first few months until we outnumber the genuine wine people

listen there really was just something about how in the book, snow’s 3-page descent from hesitant lover boy to deluded psychopath happens entirely in his mind. lucy gray gives him no indication whatsoever that she suspects him, that she’s going to leave or betray him. he’s just sitting quietly in the cabin waiting for her to return when that seed of calculated suspicion, which he has needed to survive the capitol, takes a hold of him and chokes the life out of any goodness left inside him. it really drives home your terror as a reader that “oh my god did he kill her? did she escape? what happened to her? why would he even think that?” in a way that when the movie had to adjust for visualization it lost some of that holy shit this guy has lost it emphasis.
