Nymphet Garden: Prologue
Tumblr media
Prologue: White Heather - Calluna vulgaris is a flower native to Northern Eurasia and America with a history of being very versatile as it was used in nearly everything from household items like brooms and baskets to flavoring drink like beer. The plant is immersed within Scottish folklore as they believed that the soft blossoms only grow where faeries have been and that owners are blessed with good luck and protective powers. It means that ‘wishes will come true’ and that is what happened when the boys met you.

“Please.”
“No.”
“Please?”
“No.”
“Hyung!” Yoongi groaned, throwing his head back to glare at Jimin who eyed him hopefully from across the couch. The boys were already crowded at the door, shoes on and looking rather excited themselves despite their reluctance earlier that week. Jimin, the source of exposure, had his hands clasped together and amber irises blown out pleadingly. They were practically glowing, and it was lethal, at least, to everyone except one Min Yoongi .
“Just get Taemin to go with you guys. You know I hate public places and that venue is going to be packed. I can’t stand another twenty thousand you’s screaming in my ear,” Yoongi grumbled.
“I’ll get you that new studio equipment you wanted,” Jimin wheedles. His bank account would suffer, but it would be worth it if Yoongi went to the concert. Having the iconic Bangtan Ensemble was what he wanted, after all, for attendance at his favourite idol’s concert tonight. Besides, he had spent good money on these tickets. He could have used it to replace the speakers in his dance studio or his worn sneakers, but no. He had single handedly paid for 7 front row tickets, and damn it to hell if he wasn’t going to get his money's worth.
The aspiring composer squinted at the younger suspiciously, but Jimin only beamed back at him. “Please, hyung? I really want us all to go together!”
With a drawn out sigh, Yoongi swung his legs over the couch and grabbed his jacket. “Fine. But you owe me. I better see that ASR 88 sitting in my room by the end of the year.”
Jimin winced inwardly but nodded eagerly. As long as he got all of them to go, then any future pain would be worth it. Besides, he was sure that after that night, Min Yoongi would be thanking him for dragging his ass to this concert. “It will, don’t worry.”
Twenty minutes and a bus ride later, Jimin still couldn’t  believe that he was actually here, standing a couple feet from the stage where his future wife would soon be singing your her heart out. He had their wedding planned and everything, she just didn’t know it yet. Looking to his right and left, he was happy to be surrounded by his closest friends, even though he knew that what he had promised some in exchange for their attendance may be a little out of reach for his. He would deal with that later and focus on the now. Besides, there had to be extra shifts he could pick up at work to make up for the huge dent in his expenses.
Suddenly, any stress he had melted away as the familiar piano of your intro played over the speakers of the venue. The screen on stage lit up as the video began to play. He had seen it so many times, Jimin could probably watch everything with his eyes closed, but he still kept them locked on your features as you played your role in the video, your skin looking softer then it had ever looked on either his phone or his computer. The screams never stopped. The boys were sure they were going deaf wincing as pitched voices echoed around them. Still, they were at a concert. What did they expect?
Jimin had been lucky enough to snag tickets to the GA area and they rushed in to secure a position at the front. Camping was prohibited so it was a fight to the death to get into line as early as they were permitted. They lounged around on the ground, joking around as they patiently waited for the actual performance to begin.
It was almost an hour later when you came onstage yourself, decked in the familiar attire from your debut song. The boys shot to their feet instantly. It was an upbeat tempo that got everyone dancing and screaming the lyrics as you executed the choreography to perfection just like Jimin had seen in live performances.
Taehyung was jumping up and down next to him, yelling something indiscernible over the roaring of the crowd. “What?” Jimin yelled. Taehyung pulled him closer, shouting, “She’s really good! Where can I buy her album?”
Jimin grinned, telling him he would send the link when they were home. One down, five more to go. Taking a quick sweep around, he spotted Namjoon and Hoseok jamming out near the barricade. Seokjin was nodding his head along to the beat enthusiastically to the right of him, and even Yoongi looked impressed in spite of his reservations earlier. Jungkook was hooked the moment you walked on stage and opened your mouth. The music major was a sucker for a voice as angelic as yours, his jaw dropping so low Jimin feared the fireworks would fly right into it. He smiled to himself. Jimin 1 : Bangtan 0.
The concert ran for two hours, though there were breaks in between where you were offstage changing outfits and videos promoting your tour theme ran on screen, or you’d walk forward and speak to the audience. Jimin swore his heart stopped beating when you knelt in front of him, smiling directly at him as you sang a line to one of his favourite songs off your older albums. God, you were perfection. You sent him a heart and he swooned, mouthing an I love you. Jimin ignored Taehyung’s boisterous laughter, having noticed the exchange.
“You’re so whipped for her, Chims,”  Taehyung cackled. Jimin flushed, still singing along.
He still didn’t forget to check his phone periodically, eyes flying to his notifications at every vibration in his pocket. Before the concert, you had done a vlive during the soundcheck when you announced the raffle that would make one group of people very lucky indeed. In between songs, you explained to an enraptured crowd that you would be drawing for the winners of backstage passes. Those that purchased in groups of 5 or more tickets were grouped together and solo purchases were randomly assigned to groups. Thankfully Jimin had purchased all seven tickets so when he checked the website, he was happy to find them all together in group number 713. He had watched the entirety of the livestream, including where you draw from a hat that was part of a costume set.
“... 713!” He swallowed. “Um, Tae?”
“Hmm? Yeah?” Taehyung said absentmindedly, eyes glued to the screens as a new teaser began to play.
“We won,” Jimin said slowly. His palms slickened and he shoved his phone into his friend’s face, his knees already quivering at the thought. “We’re going to see ___! Backstage! In person!”
Taehyung blinked at him uncomprehendingly. “Oh fuck!” Jimin screamed. His voice was swallowed easily by the crowd but now he could barely focus on the remainder of the concert, feeling dizzy and feverish.
“What’s going on? Is he okay?” Seokjin yelled over from the side. Taehyung smirked, making an O with two fingers and shoving another into it, eyebrows wiggling.
Jimin stepped on his foot so hard Taehyung had to squat and massage it for the entirety of your next song. The 95 liner sighed happily, returning his attention to you, eyes glazing over dreamily.
.
.
.
Jimin was practically vibrating with equal parts fear and anticipation. “Oh fuck, oh fuck,” he whispered, pacing before the door. “This is really happening. Oh fuck!”
Namjoon placed a hand on his shoulder, concerned. “You alright there? Should we leave?”
“NO!” Jimin almost shouted. “No,” he said again, shaking his head furiously. “I need all of you there. Besides, we won together. It’s not just me.”
“Don’t worry so much hyung,” Taehyung grinned. “Chims is just excited to meet my future wife.”
If he wasn’t in public, Jimin would have tackled him, but instead he just shot him a glare that could burn hotter than the sun. “It’s not good to lie, Taehyungie.” His voice was sickly sweet saccharin, that Taehyung knew he would be sleeping with one eye open for the next couple days. He had been witness to Jimin taking revenge on Jeongguk for breaking a speaker, and there was nothing he had wished for more than to be the last person in the sights of Park Jimin.
Before anyone could say anything to diffuse the situation, the security guard they had shown their tickets to came out from behind the door with 7 pases dangling from his hand, lanyards colored to match the tour’s theme with writing indicating both your name and the name of the tour in bold letters. Behind laminated plastic were the very things that Jimin had dreamed about: backstage passes. He had read enough fanfiction to imagine a lot of things, each one riskier than the last, painting his face a bright red. Clearing his throat before speaking, he grabbed one once the security guard held them out. He flipped it over in his hand multiple time making sure it was real. Finally assured that it would not get ripped from his hands, he pulled it over his head letting it hang where everyone can see it.
“Miss ___? Your guests are here.” The guard knocked on an ajar door, the mirrors and rows of clothing indicating it was probably your dressing room. Jimin choked on his own fucking saliva when you turned around from where you’d been speaking to a staff member. You were patting yourself down with a towel, wiping off sweat from your neck as you walked forward.
“Hello! I’m ___. It’s wonderful to meet you all,” you said warmly, voice melodic though a little raspy from exertion. You’d changed into casual clothing and removed the heavier aspects of your makeup, caring less about your appearance than how comfortable you were. Shit, you were even more beautiful barefaced. Jimin tugged at the collar of his shirt, the room suddenly stifling.
“H-hi! Your name is Jimin!” He stumbled over his words, immediately wanting the ground to swallow him whole. Great. The one time I meet my all time favourite idol and I fuck it up. Go figure. He groaned inwardly. “I mean - My name is Jimin,” he gulped. “And it’s really such an honour to meet you.” He nearly smacked you as he stuck out his arm.
You giggled, eyes crinkling as you regarded the man. His hair was tousled, looking like he’d run a hand through his thick locks several times in anxiousness and you noticed his body trembling slightly, fingers shaking as he shook your hand. He wet his lips, plump and pink and you concluded he was quite handsome.
In fact, all seven of them were. The one next to Jimin let out the deepest laugh. Ah. You noted. One of those whose face did not match what you’d expect his voice to be. “Don’t mind him, he’s just extremely nervous. I’m Taehyung, this idiot’s best friend,” he said cheekily, stepping up to take your hand next.
“Namjoon. Your performances were lovely. I loved the lyrics. Did you write them?” He looked like he wanted to take notes at your response.
“Hello, I’m a thief and I’m here to steal your heart.” Cue windshield laughter. “I’m Seokjin, but everyone calls me Jin.”
“H-hello. I’m Jungkook. I really like your voice! And um, your dancing. It was all very good.” Heavy blushing.
“I’m Hoseok! Your choreography was sick! What kind of concept are you going to be using for your comeback?” This one had the sunniest grin, making you recoil just a bit so you could shield your eyes from the blinding effect.
“Yoongi.” He didn’t say much, but you could tell it was his natural character. He was quiet throughout the entire exchange, though his eyes were sharp and watchful as he examined you.
Jimin, bless him, was still fluttering around awkwardly, clearly wanting to convey everything he’d been harbouring for years now that he had an opportunity, but he kept tripping over himself and ended up staring at the ground for most of the conversation, looking disappointed and frustrated.
Namjoon and Hoseok chatted animatedly with you, discussing choreography and the elements of music like mixing and editing. From what little they knew, you also composed most of your own songs.
Seokjin cracked jokes here and there, Taehyung popping in periodically and Yoongi simply listened attentively. Jungkook spoke timidly, asking a few burning questions and his smile was surprisingly sweet, bunny like and bright.
Forty minutes into their visit, your stylist tapped you on the shoulder, murmuring something as she passed.
“Ah,” you said apologetically. “It looks like our time is up. I really enjoyed meeting you all. Best of luck with your own careers! And,” you paused. They looked at you inquisitively. “I hope to see you all on the billboards one day. From the sound of it, you all have immense talent and potential.”
Taehyung nudged Jimin frantically, jerking his chin at you. “Do it now!” he hissed.
“U-um. Please, will you sign my album?” Jimin thrust it in front of you with trembling hands, bowing his head deeply.
He almost regretted his question as you turned to him and unleashed a wide smile that could put Hoseok's to shame, at least in Jimin’s eyes. He was the cutest of the bunch with his rosy cheeks and nervous habit. “I would love to,” you said with a grin as you motioned to a staff member to bring you a marker. Once the black ink was in your hand, you proceed to make your signature on the cover of the album, directly below the tite and accomapnying infomation. Below that you wrote a cute message. ‘Thank you for coming to my concert cutie!’ with a little heart and kiss.
It was simple enough, but Jimin felt his soul leave his body as you gave the album back to him, fingers grazing each others’. Smiling again at him, you got up and enveloped his body in a hug, a small gift for being a fan as well as a farewell. Jimin thought he would die of happiness again as Taehyung brought him back to reality by poking him in the side. You were hugging him! Over your shoulder, Jimin saw Taehyung motioning to your body and he understood the message. He wrapped his arms around your frame, squeezing a little. You pulled out of the hug a moment later, still with that smile as you said your goodbyes. Jimin could only stare, eyes dreaming of you as you said your departing words to the others.
.
.
.
On the way home, Jimin lay limp against the window, letting the cool glass dispel the heat that he felt after leaving the venue. He was still on an adrenaline high after the backstage experience. The other boys were in various stages of drowsiness after the concert since it had run late, not including the time that they spent with you backstage.
Still, all the boys were feeling the same symptoms. Doctors have termed the disease ‘idolstruck’ as most seem to become infected after meeting their idol. They were all lost in the image of your smile as you talked to them, face illuminated by the lights of the venue. The same smile that someone has when they are doing what they love. The boys were truly happy for you, and they were happy for themselves for agreeing to go with Jimin to this concert.
They had heard him a million times squealing from the confines of his room and knew the reason behind it. Still, they had left it alone, not really bothered by Jimin’s fanboying unless he spontaneously decided to take over the living room big screen to curl up on the couch and watch you participate in variety shows. They would walk in to see him smiling stupidly at your image on the television as it reflected in his eyes. Previously, they would all just shake their head and walk out, but now they were considering asking him if they could join him. They went home silently, and fell asleep as soon as their heads hit pillows.
Until the sun came up, they dreamed of you, angel eyes and all.
.
.
.
The next morning, not a single person was awake before noon as they took advantage of the weekend and slept in. Still, hunger affects the strongest of us, and soon enough the boys made their way into the kitchen, still rubbing the sleep from their eyes as they planned the quickest strategy to get back to bed. Almost as it it was magic, they locked eyes in the kitchen and burst out in smiles as they thought of the reasons they slept like the dead. The first one was your concert, and all other items on the list were only subpoints to this main header.
“Did that actually happen?” Jimin was the first to voice their thoughts, he was still sporting sweater paws as he had not worked up enough to care that he had slept in another boy’s shirt, not that anyone else was too quick to call him out on it either.
“It did Jimin,” Namjoon may have also looked sleepy, but he was still more awake compared to the rest of the boys since he had gotten a whiff of the coffee he was making.
“That was amazing. She was amazing.” Jeongguk was still hung up by the memory of your voice. Sure, he had been forced to listen to it with Jimin, but he had always put it down to really, really damn good vocal editing. He was in awe last night when your voice sounded exactly like the songs on the album as well as your ability to belt out the lyrics while still keeping up with choreography that was fast-paced and technique oriented.
The coordination with your back-up dancers made Hoseok's eyes shined as he remembered a  5 minute period when you demonstrated a difficult section that he liked, laughing as you recounted memories of mistakes that left the boys unsuccessfully stifling their laughter at your predicament.
“Hey Jimin.” Seokjin hid his face behind a mug of tea as spoke, half in embarrassment and half in relief as the tea woke him up slowly.  “Can we have a variety show marathon tonight?”
.
.
.
The week following passed by in a blur. The boys consumed your content like Jungkook drank banana milk - every chance they got, they were glued to their phones, laptops, TV to watch you laugh, dance, sing and talk.
“Guys,” Namjoon said solemnly. “I think we have a problem.” It was Friday, with all the boys sprawled over couches and lying on their stomachs as your newest Run! episode played on screen.
The past few days had been stressful. Jungkook had finally finished the demo he’d been fretting over for his final project with some help from his hyungs - though they fared no better. Yoongi and Namjoon poured over a new collaboration with an indie artist that had just signed them, spending hours cooped up in their studio. Taehyung had all but disappeared, travelling to different ends of the city for material on his photography initiative. Seokjin had been on and off as well, working for his father at his company whilst finishing his Master’s. Hoseok and Jimin were instructors at one of the best dance studios in the city, but Jimin had recently taken up a part-time job at a nearby cafe to pick up some extra cash to fulfil his end of the bargain for Yoongi.
“Hyung, I think we’re addicted,” Jungkook said absentmindedly as he reached for the bowl in the middle of the table. Various snacks were poured into it, and given the state of their lean, well-muscled bodies, they could afford a day off. They burned through calories quick enough as it was.
“Holy shit,” Jimin exclaimed, interrupting their conversation, leaping to his feet. His eyes widened as they flew across the screen of his phone. “She’s holding a contest. Guys, this could be our chance to see her again!” His heart fluttered at the thought, beating fast.
“Contest?” They flocked him like birds, jamming together instantly. Even Yoongi dragged himself over, looking mildly curious.
“It says you can either do a song or dance cover. There’s a winner for both. The prize is being able to shadow her for the production of her new music video!” He explained, showing them the post on her Instagram. “It’ll give us a chance to see what it’s like to film in a setting like that and how the whole process works!”
Taehyung perked up. “You think they’d let me shadow the filmmakers instead?”
Jimin nodded. “They’re usually in the same room so it’s up to you really. You can ask about the editing process, maybe they’ll let you in on that as well.”
“Let’s do it.” They stared at the speaker in shock. Yoongi shrugged. “What? It sounds like a good opportunity. She’s part of a pretty big entertainment company. We could check out the equipment.”
Seokjin cackled. “Like you’re really going for that. I saw your browsing history and I’m pretty sure you have more tabs saved on ___ than Jimin at this point.”
The composer flushed hotly under the disbelieving looks his friends shot him and scowled at the older man. “It’s for science,” he muttered, crossing his arms. “Obviously.”
“Uh huh,” Hoseok said skeptically. “Didn’t you fail science in fifth grade?”
Yoongi hissed at him. “Fuck off, Hobi.”
“Let’s split up,” Jimin suggested eagerly. “Tae, Jin, Yoongi and Namjoon can do a vocals cover. Hoseok, Jungkook and I can do a dance cover.”
“Is there a limit to how many people can win?” Namjoon asked doubtfully.
“Nope, just everyone that was involved in the production.”
“I’m in,” Jungkook offered. Taehyung agreed readily. They all turned to Yoongi.
He sighed loudly.
“Fine,” he grumbled. “Fine, you little fuckers. I’ll go along with you but if we lose, don’t come crying to me.”
.
.
.
Jimin ruffled his dark tresses, pushing back his bangs as he chewed his lower lip nervously. He whirled around the cafe, picking up plates and delivering dishes. One hand rested on his pocket periodically, as if anticipating the buzz.
“You okay there?” Jimin turned to Kai, a barista and an old classmate who eyed him with amusement from behind the counter. It was near closing time, clients trailing out as the hour ticked by.
He nodded quickly. “Yeah. I’m just waiting for the results. They’re supposed to come out today.”
“Ah,” Kai made a noise of understanding. “For ___’s contest right? Coups mentioned something about that. I think he entered too.”
Jimin clutched his phone tighter. Shit, if his other friends were contestants, they had to start praying. They were all extremely talented.
His phone vibrated quietly in his hand. “Good luck,” Kai sang as he picked up the disinfectant to start wiping the counter down.
Jimin gulped, swiping left.
Congratulations Jimin! Your cover is the winner of ___’s Shadow Set contest. Attached are the forms and details to the event. Please ensure all members of your group have completed these prior to attending.
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you soon!
“Holy sh - ”
.
.
.
“So who were the lucky winners?” You hummed, looking up from your laptop. Your manager walked in, handing you the rundown of the shoot’s schedule.
“Who else? I knew they were something special.” She laughed but agreed. Sifting through the documents, you smiled down at the papers as Jimin’s voice played through your speakers.
.
.
.
“Jimin!”
“Hobi-hyung!”
The two ran at each other, jumping into a hug as they screamed incoherently at one another. “We won!” Hoseok promptly broke into a dance, grinning widely.
A groan. “Not this shit again.” But the dance managed to wrestle the composer down before he could escape. “We won hyung!”
“Yep, heard you the first time,” Yoongi muttered, rubbing his ear.
“I’m going to see her again,” Jimin said excitedly, eyes glimmering as he did his own little victory dance as he raced to print out the forms for the boys to fill out. The others were not as vocal in their excitement (except for Taehyung and Hoseok), but each was excited in her own way to see their favorite idol outside of there screen of electronics.
.

.
You sadly stood in the center of your practice studio as you finally got a break from the events of the day. It had been business as usual as you entered to the chatter of your back up dancers and the staff. Following your usual breakfast of a smoothie, you set up in the center of the room to practice the new choreography for your next mini-album. The company had decided to try a new theme this time to test the proverbial fan base waters.
Most of your themes had been powerful messages of believing in yourself or softer ballads that accompanied pastels and picnic. For the first, and maybe last time, you were doing a sexy themed performance. It was darker than before too, the lyrics angstier and centered around heartbreak. There was plenty of couple dance routines mixed in with the floor technique and your outfits were no less sexy. Plenty of fishnet and shorts with crop tops, that you had mixed feelings about. On the plus side, you would no longer be sweating buckets during performances; skinny jeans and t-shirts were hotter than you’d think when dancing under the lights. Still, you were still relatively on the younger side of the age spectrum, and thinking of the revealing costumes still made you cringe. Either way, you were starting to enjoy this new persona, it was confident and powerful.
Still, it seemed that it would have to be pushed back. One of the main dancers had broken their leg and was out of commision for a month or so. He was your main partner throughout the choreography and it would difficult to get a new dancer to replace either a back-up that moved forward to to replace the main. Not only that, the dynamic had to be pretty comfortable between partners or the flow was choppy. She had danced with Kyungin since she first debuted, so even if they were not partners before, they still knew each other to be comfortable with some of the choreography.
__ didn’t want the release to be affected by this set-back but it seemed like they had no choice.
“What do you want to do?” Your manager had pulled you to the side as the crew continued to set up, though slower as they waited for your decision.
“We don’t have anyone on the call, do we?” You tapped your chin thoughtfully. She shook her head ruefully. “No, but I should’ve. This is on me.” Then your eyes trailed to the boys at the side.
The seven boys had come trotting in obediently, lead by your manager, wide-eyed as they took in the logo of your company in big illuminated letters. This was the same sign they had seen in the background of every choreography video they watched, mesmerized by every twist and turn of your body and particularly interested in the moment when your lose shirt flew up when you jumped. Boys would always be boys.
You giggled at their expression, the small sound pulling their attention to your form. You had ended practice only moment ago, moving away from the new to practice the old as most of the staff went to the hospital. Thus your form was glistening with sweat, much like the night you first met them after to concert. Making you way over to them, you snagged your water bottle from a nearby table to replenish yourself.
You many be an idol, but you were still a woman so you felt their eyes very clearly on you as you tilted your head back to allow the cold liquid to run down your throat. You felt their eyes trace a stray drop that had escaped you mouth as it ran down your skin, tracing every curve and dip, much like men did with the woman they loved.
You smiled devilishly. Maybe this contest would be more fun than you thought, especially with these boys around. This concept had introduced to the character of the dominant female, and it was starting to become you more that you would ever care to admit.
Then you realized the reason they were here; they wanted to see the life of an idol, to shadow you with this next comeback. Now, with a dancer missing, you wondered if there was even gonna be a comeback. Unless….you took a long time looking at the boys who you had dubbed mentally to be the dance line.
You had seen their submission, they were very good at what they did so perhaps you could give one special treatment. You turned to you manager and raised an eyebrow? Tilting your head in their direction. The boys were silent, watching. The three who were under scrutinization sweated. Something serious was up if the managers expression was anything to go by. Looking back and forth between you and the boys, you manager nodded once, so quick it would be easy to miss, before stalking out the door towards the elevator. She had things to discuss with the CEO.
On the other hand, you turned to the boys with a smile and motioned for them to follow you. The eight of you walked through the halls towards the large conference room. You would be taking them to your personal studio, but the Shadow Contest was now up in the air after the loss of a dancer, so you still had to protect the interests of the company. The answer that you manage got would determine the future of these boys.

“You’re sure about this? You don’t have to if you don’t want to,” you told him gently. Jungkook shook his head, smiling. “I want to, ___-noona.”
Oh. Oh, you liked that very much. “Okay. Let me call over my choreographer and he can teach you the steps for the first part that we’re filming today. It’s not too intense or long. Do you think you can learn it in the next three hours?”
At that, Jungkook grinned. “Definitely. I’ve done worse, trust me.” He shrugged off his sweater, passing it to Hoseok. Underneath, he wore a plain white tee that shifted as he moved. Mmm. It surprised you to noticed that he packed some hard muscle, visible through the thin material. He was lead off centre, where they set to work immediately.
“Yoongi, Namjoon,” you called. They stood to meet you as you approached. “Would you guys like to meet my producers? I heard they’re working on something new today so if you’re interested, I can take you there.”
They looked at you, mouth agape. “No way, seriously?” Namjoon was the first to recover. “Please, that would be such an honour.” Yoongi nodded rapidly. You gestured them to follow through a separate door.
Jimin glowered at the youngest from where he sat with Taehyung, pouting. “Why didn’t she choose me?” Hoseok had wandered over not long after to observe Jungkook and the choreography.
“Because you’re too short pabo,” Taehyung flicked his forehead. Jimin sighed, melting back into his seat. He fiddled with Jungkook’s jacket, looking a bit put-out.
You returned shortly, and with your own outfit on for the video shoot. It was definitely more revealing than any of the outfits the boys had seen you in before. Even the makeup did not make it any better with a red lip and smoky eyes that made you more alluring. Combine that with your stage presence and it was a lethal combination to anyone remotely interested in girls.
You noticed the look on Jimin’s face and wanted to pinch his cheeks. The sweet boy was pouting as he clutched onto the jacket Jungkook tossed his way. He looks unbelievably small and child-like with his pastel sweater contrasting the leather of the jacket which looked big on his frame.
Smiling softly, you made a guess at the reason behind his disappointment and smiled at the jealousy. It was no secret that he was your biggest fan among the boys with his name always being used for the group as a whole. You walked towards the two men, grinning as they met your gaze.
Jimin smiled at you, red-faced as he dragged his eyes up your legs and torso, to stop on your face. Taehyung, though not as physically prone to show his feelings, still tensed at the sight of you in front of him. Since the concert, he had looked into you more and fallen deeper into your fandom, even dabbling in fanfiction as he cuddled his pillow, pretending you were the one there beside him. You would be the one greeting him when he came home, you were the one that made him coffee when he stayed up late to complete assignments.
“Having fun boys?” Both felt shivers run down their spine at your voice. It was smooth and sultry, the kind of voice that suited the theme perfectly. They could only nod in response, too distracted by your charisma.
“Don’t be nervous. I’m still me.” You grineed, teeth on display. For a second, __ the idol was gone and was replaced with __ the girl. This was the you the boys loved, the personality they saw on the variety shows with her twinkling eyes and kind heart. The girls who was not afraid to laugh or get messy in the kitchen having the most domestic of argument debating how much water should be added to the rice pot. This was the girl they saw when you looked at them and this was the girl they fell for when you appeased their fears, sitting next to them dishing out bad jokes that put a smile on both their faces.
.
.
.
Your stylist ushered Jungkook in a chair and you watched rather amusedly as she fussed over his hair, applying light makeup and rifling through the closet for clothing his size.
He changed quickly, tugging on the suit and smoothing over the wrinkles. You cocked your head, drinking him in. “You look good.” Jungkook blushes. “T-thank you.”
“Nervous?” You asked. He nodded, looking a little overwhelmed. “I’ve never been in a professional shoot before. But,” he hesitates, peeking up from his lashes to peer at you shyly. “I’m glad it’s with you, noona.”
You wanted to coo at him, he looked so sweet smiling up at you like that. “Thank you for doing this. We really appreciate it.”
He reddened, rubbing his neck. “I’m glad I could help.”
“Ready?” The director called. Jungkook nodded at you, retreating to the shadows as he waited for his cue.
“Take one.”
The music started. It was soft, a little haunting. You glided in, steps light as you walked to the throne set up in the middle. As the line quickened, you mouthed the first line as you took a seat, leg crossing over the other.
Jungkook strode in, one hand in his pocket, the other slicking back his hair as he made eye contact with the camera.
He knelt before you, taking your hand and dusting a light kiss onto the back of it. You tipped his chin up, the camera zooming in as you grazed your manicured finger across his chiselled jaw. You swore you felt him shiver beneath your touch, his eyes fluttering closed as your cool breath whispered across his ear.
He turned, ripping himself from you as he stood, feet planted apart and expression tormented. You snaked an arm around his upper body, tapping down the expanse of his chest. You pressed yourself to his back, staring at the camera with lidded eyes as you sang.
He twisted away from you as soon as the bass dropped. Stepping behind you, it started. Oh God, did it start. His movements were powerful, sharp and clean. His hands trailed up your legs resolutely, his hips rolling against yours. Though your pelvises did not touch, you could feel his heat through the fabric of his suit. Then the bass backed out of the tune slightly as your vocals became the center of the song, commanding the attention of all, including Jungkook. You gripped his body and brought it surely in front of you, pushing him gently to his knees as you gazed down at him, simpering at the expression on his face. The next part harkened back to your debut song as you controlled Jungkook like a puppet, your arms and his body moving in sync as his expression emulated the idea that he was at your mercy in all possible ways. Then the dynamic of the song switched again, the base entering as Jungkook took control of the situation. His popping showed him breaking out of your control as you struggled to maintain your power over him. In the most risque move yet, he turned you so you back faced the camera as he pulled gently on your hair, following his lead and the choreography, you bent backwards until you were looking at the camera upside down, still singing along to the track echoing from the speakers as his mouth came down on your neck. From the frontal angle, it looked inappropriate but he was doing nothing more than just shifting the angle of his head.
Still, Jungkook could almost feel your skin beneath his lips and temptation set to to trace the same path that the water droplet took the other day when you first met them at the studio. You were glistening the same way too, the sheen of the sweat making your skin shine like diamonds under the powerful lights. Then you pushed him back as the second verse started, already tired of dancing to his beat.
The music cut off just as he fell to his knees, the power balance shifting as you gained the upper hand. Sweat dropped from his fringe as he brushed it back, panting. You helped him up, breathing heavy yourself. Jungkook took it gratefully and gave you a tired grin. “How was that, noona?”
“Wonderful,” the director boomed before you could say a word. “No need for a reshoot. We can use this footage. Maybe even raw. Good work, ___-ah! And Jungkook-ssi, that was excellent. I should hire you permanently.” He gave a wink before whisking away.
“He’s right,” you said, smiling. “You did really great. Thank you once again. You’re a lifesaver.”
“Ah, it was nothing, really. If anything, I’m the one honoured I get to work with you,” Jungkook said awkwardly, a light hue dusting his cheeks as he looked down.
Staff came hurrying over, distributing towels and water bottles. Jungkook wandered off to greet his friends who had been watching with wide eyes. Namjoon and Yoongi had returned halfway through the scene and were now in similar states of awe.
“Guys,” Jungkook gulped. They all stared up at him dumbly. “I think I’m in love with her.”
“No shit genius,” Namjoon hissed, slightly jealous that he wasn’t the one getting to touch you. Jimin felt the same way, giving over an expression that was somehow pouty and hateful at the same time.
Hoseok could only watch the vacant dance floor, still dumbfounded as his mind failed to comprehend what he had just seen. You and Jungkook dancing together, running your hands over each other. Still, he was not the type to be overly zealous. He would get his chance when the time came. So all he could do was clap Jungkook on the back, perhaps a bit harder than necessary and shake his head. “You lucky, lucky bastard.”
.
.
.
Following the end of the first day shooting, your company treated everyone to dinner at a barbeque place. You had a table to yourself with the boys and more than an hour was spent eating, drinking and laughing as the boys told you more about themselves and they found out more about the girl behind the screen.
It didn’t hit the others as hard as it did Taehyung, Jungkook and Jimin, but the feeling crept on them slowly like night swallowing the day, unnoticeable until the very end. They saw the separation between the you that they saw on stage and the you that was the real you, without the managers and company and staff. This was the you that they never realized would captivate them, but you did. And against what seemed like impossible odds, they interested you.
As the boys walked home that night, Yoongi muttered a single phrase that they thought summed up the whole situation pretty well.
“I’m so fucked. Completely and utterly fucked.”
Jungkook walked straight into a pole.

soulmate~ tyler joseph x reader (PART ONE)
you never believed in the idea of having a soulmate.
all your friends have always fawned over merely the thought of it, especially as kids. they always daydreamed about the moment they would get their soulmate, the day they’d meet their soulmate. heck, some were so crazy that they were already planning the wedding they’d have with their soulmate.
you just thought the whole thing was creepy. someone being able to hear your inner thoughts and emotions? someone who could talk to you in your head? not to mention you’d be able to do those same things with them as well. the whole idea just disgusted you.
you never cared for the whole soulmate business.
until you got yours.
you remember the moment vividly.
you woke up one morning to the sound of a very beautiful male voice singing softly. at first you thought it was coming from somewhere inside your house, but when you searched every room and found that the sound never got closer or farther away, you realized it was in your head.
it was your soulmate.
you instantly got butterflies in your stomach at the realization. your mind started spinning as you wondered how the heck you’d talk to them. do you just say something? how were you supposed to go about this? you realized that you actually weren’t disgusted right then, but instead you were curious. you wanted to know who this boy was. you wanted to see him. you wanted to say-
“hello.”
you jumped at the voice suddenly talking directly to you now.
“i’m sorry, i didn’t mean to startle you, but you do know i can hear your thoughts, right?”
you had no idea how to respond.
“please say something before i get anxious and start thinking that you don’t like me.” you could already feel his nerves start to rise, so you somehow mustered up a greeting.
uhh, hey. sorry about that, i just didn’t expect to get a soulmate today. you have a beautiful voice by the way.
you felt the heat rise to his cheeks, which caused you to blush in response. this is so weird.
“thanks. and yeah, it is kinda weird, sorry.”
no don’t apologize, it’s nice having someone to talk to for a change.
he smiled. of course you couldn’t see him, but you sensed his happiness melting onto you.
“my name’s tyler by the way. nice to meet you.”
then it was your turn to smile. that name matches his cute soft voice perfectly. nice to meet you too tyler. i’m (y/n).
“that’s such a beautiful name.”
yours is better. it’s still the weirdest sensation. being able to talk to someone without seeing them or opening your mouth.
“thanks, but it’s really not that great, it’s pretty generic.”
well if i were you, i’d love my name more than anyone else’s.
the amount of happiness he was feeling in that moment made you want to combust, especially since it was being combined with your own joy.
you know, i used to not want a soulmate, but i think i can live with this.
he laughed. you wish you knew what he looked like so you could match his face with his adorable laugh.
“don’t worry, we’ll see each other one day.” you still get caught off guard a little each time he answers your inner thoughts and concerns.
yeah, i hope so.
time flew by, and soon enough it’s already been two and a half years of having tyler being in your head. the two of you have gotten extremely close. you’ve never loved someone before, but if you had to guess what loving someone feels like, you’d probably say that’s what you feel for tyler. and as of right now, you only have one goal in life: to meet the amazing boy in your head.
you have found out a lot of things about tyler in these two years, like his age, where he lives, and the fact that he’s in a band, which explains why he’s always singing. he also told you that he plays a variety of instruments, some of which include piano, ukulele, and bass guitar.
you hold a huge sense of pride in knowing your soulmate is so talented. it just makes you feel so much better about the world.
you look out your window for a second before fixing your eyes on the road again. you sigh, becoming bored with the sounds of cars zooming past you, so you turn on the radio and flip to that one station that plays all the popular songs of the week or so. a catchy tune starts playing, followed by a voice. an extremely familiar voice.
your heart speeds up and you find yourself using more energy to try to breathe than you normally would. you know that voice anywhere. just to make sure, you listen more thoroughly. after only a few more seconds, you don’t even need to think twice about it: your soulmate is on the radio.
you look at the screen on your car that shows the title of the song and the artist so you can look them up later. stressed out by twenty one pilots.
you hurriedly park your car and immediately look up the band on google. the results show some pictures of two men, a shorter guy pink hair, and a slightly taller man with brown hair. the names given to these two members are josh dun and tyler joseph.
tyler joseph.
that’s him.
you smile to yourself as your heart flutters. just when you thought his name couldn’t get any prettier, it did.
since you don’t know which of the two guys he is, you look up the name ‘tyler joseph’ next and go to images. the results that show up are the brown haired boy from the band pictures you searched previously. you study the pictures closely, trying to memorize every inch of his face. he’s the most beautiful man you’ve ever seen. and these are only pictures.
your heart is beating rapidly, your stomach is a whirlwind, and you don’t know how to calm down.
“hey, are you alright? i’m sorry for being nosey, i just couldn’t help but notice that you’re a lot more tense than usual and i wanted to make sure you’re okay.” just when you thought your emotions couldn’t get any higher, he just sent them over the moon. he’s the sweetest guy ever.
i’m fine tyler. there was a car that almost ran into mine on my way to work, but i’m good. it just gave me an adrenaline rush is all. you give an excuse to cover this up. you don’t exactly want him finding out...yet.
“are you okay? did you get hurt?” he frantically asks at the mention of a car crash.
you laugh at the amount of concern. he’s showing right now. no, tyler. i’m perfectly fine. like i said, they *almost* crashed into me. it was a close call, but they didn’t hit me.
“oh good, i just wanna make sure. i don’t know what i’d do if something were to happen to you (y/n).” he says lovingly.
you listen to him talk to you while looking at the pictures of him, and it makes perfect sense. his voice matches that face all too well. you can’t help but let a huge wave of happiness wash over you.
tyler you’re the sweetest.
“i try.” you know he’s smirking right now. god, why can’t you just meet him? why don’t the two of you live near each other?
“i oftentimes finds myself thinking about you, (y/n). you dominate most of my thoughts, and it just makes me realize how much i need you. i need to see you (y/n). i just don’t know how.” he explains nervously. you can feel his heart racing, causing yours beat quicker in turn. you smile, feeling an enormous amount of love from him pouring down on you.
while he’d been talking, you visited the band’s website and found their tour dates. as you gaze upon the date for your city, you reach out to him. we’ll see each other soon enough.
“how can you be sure?”
your smile never stops growing. i just know it tyler. he smiles as a warmth takes over his heart. “i hope you’re right.”
~one month later~
today.
today, you get to go to a concert.
but not just any concert.
a twenty one pilots concert.
you’re so excited you might burst. you had purchased a general admission ticket for yourself the day you found out about tyler’s band. you did some reasearch to find out how to get the front row, because you were going to get front row. you had to get as close to him as possible.
you looked up some fanpages for the band on twitter and found that most fans of their fans camp out at the venue a day or two before the concert to make sure they get barricade. so you decided that getting there around twenty four hours before the concert would be pretty good time.
when you got there, there were only three people in line. sweet. you approached them and immediately clicked with them. they were decked out in merch from top to bottom. you had a tank top and beanie that were merch items. you paired them with white high rise jeans and black high top converse, accompanied by some thread bracelets color coordinated with the band colors.
when night came, the three of them very generously offered to share their tent with you since they loved you so much already. in the morning you helped them take it down and snacked with them afterwards for ‘breakfast’, or as much of a breakfast as it could be. you brought your own share of snacks as did they, so you all traded food with one another. one of the girls turned on her music and started playing their newest album blurryface. you all jammed out and told stories, laughing all your troubles away.
the four of you are currently sitting in a circle and playing cards. jamie, one of the two twins, places a card down on the quickly growing pile of cards in the center. “one jack.” she says innocently. jason, jamie’s twin brother, slams his hand down on top of the card. “I CALL BS!!” he yells. he picks up the card and looks at it. sure enough, he was right. it was an ace instead of a jack. he laughs in victory as jamie frowns and sadly takes all the cards in the middle, adding them to her existing hand of cards.
“you cheated.” she says, side-eyeing jason. confusion takes over his face. “how did i cheat?” “telepathy.” jamie spits out, crossing her arms over her chest. jason rolls his eyes. “yeah right, i can’t read your mind. only josh can do that.” he fires back.
“josh?” you ask, stricken with curiosity. carly, jamie’s best friend, speaks up. “you know, josh. josh dun. the guy we’re about to see. her soulmate.” your eyes widen. “josh is her soulmate?” you exclaim. “i know, she got real lucky.” carly replies.
you shake your head. “oh no, it wasn’t that. it’s just kinda funny that josh is your soulmate, because tyler is mine.” you explain with a laugh. jason and carly’s jaws drop. “you’re kidding.” jason says. jamie’s face lights up and she stands, rushing to the other side of the circle. you stand up as well and she hugs you. “is he really?” she asks. you nod vigorously. “yeah, really. he sings to me all the time.” you say, swooning internally at the thought of seeing him in person in less than an hour.
jamie squeals. “girl this is crazy!!” your smile grows significantly. “i know! fate really gave us the best.” the two of you laugh and hug again, unable to contain your excitement.
“alright, alright, you guys get to see your soulmates tonight, congratulations. now can we get back to the game?” jason says unenthusiastically. carly’s mouth is still wide open as she watches you guys sit down. “i cant believe this. they’re both taken now.” she says as she stares off into the distance. you laugh and place down a queen into the middle of the pile.
jamie suddenly gasps. “DID HE WRITE TEAR IN MY HEART FOR YOU (Y/N)?” she asks almost desperately. you shrug. “i mean, i don’t really know. i don’t know if he has a girlfriend or n-” “nope he’s single. he doesn’t have a girlfriend yet. it’s GOTTA be you.” carly interrupts you.
you smile and cover your mouth with your hand, eyes watering with joy. jamie is a squealing mess right now, already shipping the two of you hardcore already.
“oh, bs (y/n).” jason says amidst jamie’s freaking out. you smirk and shake your head, picking up your queen and showing him. he deadpans for a couple seconds before taking the card. “at least it’s only one card.” he says, chuckling at jamie. she rolls her eyes back at him.
you look at your cards and zone out for a little, a giddy smile taking over your face.
“you seem really happy today. got something going on?”
your smiles grows even more at the sound of his voice. yeah, i just made some new friends while waiting in line for a concert.
you feel tyler’s spirits lift a little. “what band is it?”
“(y/n), they’re letting us in the venue now!” carly snaps you out of your thoughts. “oh sorry! here, i’ll help pick up the cards.” you reply.
i’ll tell you later, we’re going inside now. talk to ya later ty! you say as you gather the cards.
“why’d you drop the ‘ler’ from my name?” he jokes. you chuckle. it’s just a nickname tyler.
“i know, i was just messing with you. josh calls me that too, but it sounds much cuter when you say it.” your smiles grows and your cheeks turn red.
“i’ll let you go though now, i’ve got my own show to put on. bye (y/n).” he says cheerily.
bye tyler.
~~~~~
the large screens fade black as the concert finally starts. with four beats, the top three circles of the album cover appear. after about ten more seconds, the screen glitches before the next set of three circles appear. next the bottom three appear and the beats transition into the fairly local music.
soon a face appears, seeming to have been made out of the blurryface album cover circles. they appear to have been squished together, eyes and a mouth strategically placed on them to make a character. possibly blurryface.
the low signature blurryface voice starts the rap. “yo, this song will never be on the radio.” he raps, everyone in then pit yelling along with him. you’re too stunned to do anything right now, this is the most insane thing you’ve ever seen.
“the world around us is burning, but we’re so cold. it’s the...” the voice cuts off and the screen goes back to black, the crowd finishing the lyrics for the strange character.
the background music to the chorus of fairly local plays, practically sucking the air right out of your lungs. you feel the bass in your chest, your heart thumping to the beat of it. you hear the live drums and look over to your left, spotting josh dun himself on the drum riser. upon seeing josh, your immediate thought it that if he’s out on stage, tyler must be too. you look to the right of josh and holy crap there he is.
tyler joseph. your soulmate. standing ominously on an elevated platform merely fifteen feet from you. he looks incredibly intimidating, especially since you can only see his silhouette as of right now. soon the purple lights flashing on stage turn to red, and the beat to the music changes speed, transitioning into heavydirtysoul.
you’ve been to many concerts before, but none can compare to this one, even though you’re only two minutes in. although it’s only tyler and josh up on the stage, they carry the energy of ten people with them.
you and your friends sing and scream your way through the concert, having the time of your lives together. you ended up getting barricade at the very center. this is definitely the best concert you’ve ever gone to.
~~~
“how’s everybody doin so far, you all doin okay?” tyler asks the crowd followed by a bunch of cheers. you watch him in awe. he’s just talking, but you’re still amazed that he’s real. and he’s right in front of you.
hey tyler? you reach out to him in your mind.
“yeah?” he replies as he pushes his sunglasses up the bridge of his nose. it’s the strangest thing, hearing his voice without seeing his mouth moving.
you’re the best. you watch as his smile grows to the size of the moon, boosting your happiness to the max.
“why do you say that?” he asks you before asking telling everyone else that this is so far one of the best shows he’s ever played. everyone screams and shouts in response to his statement.
you smile. because it’s true.
he runs a hand through his brown locks quickly and looks down at his black vans, smiling.
the show continues, and it seems like ever since you complimented him, he’s been in a significantly happier state, the energy from him growing stronger and giving you an adrenaline rush.
they just finished playing the run and go from their previous album vessel. it’s a blackout right now, crowd ambiance being the only audible thing. soon the lights turn back on to reveal tyler sitting at his piano a little to the right of you.
he speaks into the microphone. “this next one i wrote for someone very special to me.” everyone in the pit goes crazy because they know exactly which song it is. some of the people scream “JOOOSH!!”
“guys- no, it’s not josh!” tyler says in fake annoyance. josh starts laughing and covers his face with one of his hands. tyler looks over at him and starts laughing as well. “he does know who it’s about though.” he explains.
“i- i actually haven’t told anyone else yet.” he says as he plays some slow chord progressions that vaguely match the chords of tear in my heart.
“but i just feel like tonight, this crowd...you guys deserve to know.” all the people around you cheer with excitement.
but suddenly tyler’s fingers come to an abrupt stop from the melody they were playing. “and if you’re recording do not post this anywhere.” he half-scolds. scattered laughs are heard around the pit. “i’m being serious! if you’re still recording...guys if i see this up on youtube or anywhere i’m gonna be so pissed.” this sends almost the whole crowd into laughter.
tyler stares sternly into the crowd for a couple seconds before a smile breaks out on his face, followed by a laugh erupting from his chest. “i like teasing you guys, this is the best.” he continues the chord progression he’d been doing earlier.
“for real though, i love you guys, thank you for being here tonight. this night wouldn’t be the same without you.” he says with a smile that only grows as his people let out cries of joy.
“i wrote this song for my soulmate.” he says with a huge smile. jamie and carly start screaming and jumping, shaking you as you laugh with them. if you doubted it before, you sure don’t now. you now have 100% confirmation this song is about you.
“and it’s called tear in my heart.” tyler says as the chords fade out. you smile. josh raises his drumsticks in the air. he and tyler share a look before starting the song.
“an-nyang-ha-se-yo!”
you feel so indescribably happy right now you could burst. the first time you listened to this song, you had the feeling it was about you. this was the first song of theirs you memorized all the lyrics to.
“the songs on the radio are okay.” tyler says. this next line is probably your favorite line written by anyone ever.
the whole crowd screams it along with tyler. “but MY taste in music is your FACE.” his smile hasn’t left his face since he started this song.
soon the bridge comes along. you never quite understood what he meant by you falling asleep in his car since you’ve never been in his car, but nonetheless it’s such a sweet bridge.
you sing along to the lyrics with everyone else, ecstatic and still a little shocked that you’re literally ten feet away from the love of your life.
“sometimes you gotta bleed to know, oh-oh, that you’re alive and have a so-oh-oul. but it takes someone to come around to show you how-” he steps up onto his piano and holds his arms out for everyone to sing the chorus. he whips off his sunglasses, revealing the rest of his cute face you love with all of your heart.
as the crowd continues singing, he hurriedly steps off the piano and backs up quickly, followed by running forward quickly and jumping off and over his piano on the beat and landing in time to begin singing again.
“my heart is my armor. she’s the tear in my heart, she’s a carver. she’s a butcher with a smile!” he sings as he runs across the stage with a ridiculous amount of energy. “cut me farther than i’ve ever been!” he sings as he runs up to the front center of the stage, literally right in front of you. “SCREEEAAAMMMMMM!” he shouts outwards towards the pit. they do as told, screaming from the top of their lungs. their energy fuels him as he skips back over to his piano.
“than i’ve ever been, my heart...is my armor,” he sings more slowly than he previously had. you can’t take your eyes off of him. “she’s the tear in my heart, she’s a carver.” you try to blink back the tears brimming in your eyes.
he looks so good right now, you just want to run up on stage and hug him as hard as humanly possible.
“she’s a butcher with a smile, cut me farther...” he sings with his eyes closed, the tempo even slower than before. he pauses and holds out the chord on the piano.
his eyes open and immediately fall on yours and you feel a strong tug on your heart as tears start to fall onto your face. his mouth opens slightly and you can tell he felt the same thing you just did. “(y/n)?” his voice rings in your head. you nod as you start to sob into your hands, but still looking at him.
“than i’ve ever been.” he manages to choke out slowly, his eyes never leaving you once. his voice wavers a bit, sounding on the brink of tears. josh crashes on his symbols like crazy for the big finish. tyler covers his mouth with one hand, trying to prevent himself from crying on stage, but soon failing. your smile grows bigger than you ever thought it could.
he covers his face with his hands, quickly wiping his tears away. jamie and carly are crying and shouting in high pitched voices, claiming ‘that was the most wholesome thing they’ve ever witnessed’ and they ‘hardcore ship you guys’.
you never thought you could be happier than you are right now in this moment.
to be continued...

Lapping it All Up
It's Sunday morning and time to part company with Sue and Peter. It was a fun 5 days. We are heading to Helsinki and they will drive the car back to Riga where it all commenced. They are stopping the night at Parnau. Rainy day again as we said our farewells and they dropped us at the ferry terminal. Saw an amusing sign at the terminal which pointed to the very short term car park (15 mins). It said " Kiss and Sail" which was very apt. We had laughed our way through Latvia and Estonia with them and had covered a bit of ground in those 5 days. Despite it bucketing down Liz did a quick sortie after they left to take a photo of the sign. This led to one of those amusing moments. Something you very rarely see Liz do - "run". If I said a sort of Donald Duck style of running I might be close to the mark. Possibly even being flattering. There is a lot of action, arms flapping, feet akimbo, head rolling from side to side and forward momentum is not speedy. The ferry ride from Tallin to Helsinki takes about 2.5 hours. We had basic tickets so it was first in best dressed for seats. A number of bars and cafes on board and as soon as boarding started the regulars made for prime positions. We had to stow our luggage and were given a bit of a bum steer, in terms of where to store them, by one of the staff so a lot of seats had gone by the time we were free to look. Anyway we snagged a couple of uninspiring but fine seats in a a cafe and settled back for an uneventful trip. Despite the rain it was petty calm and we had a snack, read and blogged. Interestingly they had a couple of stages with musos performing. I might expect that on a cruise ship in the Bahamas but not somehow on a couple of hours ferry in the Baltics. One stage was on the upper deck where quite a raucous bar was in full swing. The wind and rain were coming down on the uncovered end though plenty of cover. Singer was flat as a tack and slaughtered Ed Sheerin's " A Girl Like You" (a bit of a holiday anthem as you hear it a lot in beach bars etc over here). The audience didn't care. They were all getting tanked. Another singer was close to us in a neighbouring area and he was playing the guitar and performing solo with some electronic instrumental help. Not too bad, middle of the road - Eric Clapton, Jonny Cash etc but more importantly his voice I was better. I strolled around looking at the duty free shop where the Finns on board were fairly determinedly stocking up on booze which is much cheaper in Estonia than Finland. This included people with several slabs of beer. Liz noticed that many of those slabs were being consumed on board. It was certainly a lively ship. Trip was easy and we worked out we could get a tram into the city and quite close to our hotel from the ferry terminal. A bit of a scramble getting off but we were in no rush so took our time. Slight problem though, it was raining quite steadily. We headed for the tram stop which was close by but in a master stroke of planning the ticket machine was exposed to the elements and quite a queue. This included the guy who had no idea what to do, did not appear to have the right money (possibly any money), whose credit card would not work and who consequently held us all up in the hissing rain for 5/6 minutes - could have been longer. This on top of the 7/8 mins we had already been waiting. In the end the couple behind paid for him. Liz was now huddled under the tram shelter while I stood out there in the pak-a-mac. No point in two of us getting wet(ter). By the time I got to the front of the queue the wind had set in and rain was horizontal so jeans and shoes pretty soaked. Guys behind (equally wet) who seemed local provided some guidance on the payment process but even they stuffed it up a bit so another minute or two of soaking. Anyway at last I had two tickets in my hand but the various delays meant we just missed a tram by about a minute so had a 6/7 minute wait for the next one. Still, under some shelter, though I was drenched. We duly trundled off for the 10 minute ride and I couldn't wait to get out of my jeans and shoes. I made the mistake of sitting down which was even more uncomfortable so quickly sprang up. Anyway the Hotel Helka was only about a 10 minute walk from the tram stop. Liz did a good job of getting us off at the closest stop and guiding us home. At last, out of that gear and into the shower. All was well and Hey! We were in Finland. Time to explore and we headed off into town. Basically heading for the main square and market square. First impressions were that it was more modern than Riga or Tallinn and a little less atmospheric. Plenty of shopping malls, cafes etc. and even the older buildings which were often quite attractive, of the the six storey terrace variety, did not seem that old. Made our way to market square where there were a number of stalls selling local "products". Very soft hats, wood carvings, paintings, the usual fridge magnet memorabilia stuff but also fox, wolf and reindeer pelts and extremely sharp hunting type knives in scabbards - not sure exactly what the purpose of them was. The market was starting to close but quite a few stalls selling food were in full flight. Now around 4.00pm and we had only snacked post breakfast so were hungry. The offerings were often local delicacies and we couldn't resist sharing a plate of fried Vendace (very similar to sardines) with garlic sauce. Just on a paper plate, pretty decent serve (30 or so smallish fish) you eat the lot, heads and all, and we wandered around happily chomping on them. Very delicious and sauce not too garlicky at all but tasty and needed. It was sun over the yard arm time and we looked for a decent pub/ venue to have a drink. Plenty of craft beer here though we had heard horror stories about the price of alcohol. We couldn't quite find what we were looking for in terms of character but settled on a cafe/bar and sat outside. Rain had stopped but not exactly balmy. After that we continued to wander through the back streets though being Sunday a lot of places closed. Did find a good looking Pho joint which was a possibility if all else failed. Liz loves her Pho. We headed back for the hotel. The Helka is a little boutique hotel and quite quirky. They had a little Swiss style bird house (no birds) that you could deposit your keys in when you left. The coffee mugs in the room had an inscription inside the rim which read " Stolen from Hotel Helka" Staff very friendly and a range of nice touches. We determined that dinner would be in their relaxed little bar/cafe area downstairs. Some good craft beer on tap and bottled and rose OK too. I had the salmon on bread with salad. Big chunks of salmon served cold - excellent. Liz had the coconut and sweet potato soup which was also very good. A local porter and IPA for me (both good especially the porter) rose for Liz. All very laid back and sat very happily not feeling we had to traipse about town. Not too late a night headed up around 10.30 for the usual blogging, reading and planning next phase. Greece definitely on. Thessaloniki as a kick off point looking the goods. Also need to ensure we have a flight out of there to London about a week after arriving in Greece as flying home from London. All pretty tortuous evaluating alternatives but in the end have to bite the bullet and its Turkish airlines to Thessaloniki and BA from there to London though the poms charging usuriously. Liz doing sterling work with bookins Next morning at 11.00 we were going on a free tour of Helsinki. After a great breakfast at the Helka (we expected nothing else given its form to date) we headed for the meeting point a 20 minute fast walk away, back at market square. Our guide was a young and vivacious lady who had spent time in Canada hence a slight North American accent. Super smart and despite a crowd of around 35-40 with a microphone headpiece and a resonant voice she was easy to hear. We covered a lot of ground both literally and metaphorically. Some aspects were: Lutheran religion is the main one for Finns. Apparently a not unusual fall away in those following a structured religious approach in Finland though you have to attend a religious camp for a week when in your late teens if you want to be married in church. A lot of the design of the buildings in the older parts of Helsinki was under the auspices of the German architect Engels in the 19th century. He had spent time in St Petersburg and hence there are similarities between the cities (though not the flamboyant stuff). Education is subsidised in fact you are paid to attend for your first 5 years at Uni. Food is also subsidised for uni students and is free at kindergarten. Start school at 7 pre that it's kindergarten where formal lessons are minimal. At junior school the first 5 years are pretty hands on - sewing, woodwork etc. no homework in that period. Health care free for all though dental must be paid for unless impacts health more generally. We were starting to understand why prices were so high with all those taxes. The guide (Maria I think) quipped that they all live a good life but it's hard to get rich. They were ruled for hundreds of years by the Swedes and then from early 19th century by the Russians. They gained independence in 1917 and in that period also had a bloody civil war. Fought against the Soviet Union in 1939 and collaborated with the Germans to fight against the Soviet Union 1941-44. They did not persecute minorities however. Then they also had to fight against the Germans to remove them from Finland as the tide turned at the end of the war. They are proud to have maintained their independence throughout despite some land losses to the Soviet Union. In winter the harbour freezes over so all boats must be lifted out and stored in dry dock including some pretty large fishing boats. Ice breakers were also visible in the harbour. It was a wide ranging, interesting tour with plenty of fun thrown in. Amazing coincidence of a couple from Melbourne, Meredith and David, being on the tour more especially because Meredith taught the preps at Camberwell primary around the time our kids went there. She didn't teach them as it turned out. Liz and Meredith swopped school and other local stories ++. David was an interesting character. He had worked for the CSIRO and was a resin expert. He had for the last umpteen years supported businesses making wood paneling and other resin involved products around the world. This included a 5 year stint for the whole family living in Italy while he worked there. He had most recently been working in China and had come straight to Finland from there. Yet again there's a lot of different stuff makes the world go around. Nice guy to chat to. Pommie origins though born in Australia and we had a good time dissecting Brexit. He has the same problem as us may lose his European passport. We were interested in the big issues! We did that nattering over a coffee and tea that stretched for about an hour and a half post the free tour. After that Liz and I headed for the market square again and needed something to eat. Beside the square was a pretty attractive and ornate indoor market building. Really it was a tasteful food hall with a range of tidbits you could buy to eat immediately or take away including exotics like reindeer jerky. We plumped for a couple of open sandwiches which we consumed at a little eating area outside by the docks. One was cured salmon and the other was prawns in a sweet chilli sauce. We shared the first two but so tasty we went again. Me for the prawns and Liz for the salmon. Just very nice sitting there with this scrumptious food. Back to the market square and as opposed to yesterday evening all stalls were in full swing so we had a good look around at the knick knacks but did not purchase. Time to go our own ways. We both went looking through shops though Liz also found a strange square which looked like a lunar landscape. People were skateboarding and sitting around the square and it all seemed a bit unexpected in what seems like quite a conservative city. I stumbled across the City Museum. This was a very quirky place which essentially probed some alternative aspects of Helsinki and Finland. One of the highlights was an exhibition by 5 Finnish artists. It was titled "Objection". Essentially it was about disagreement and the role that it plays in our society (particularly Finnish society). Each artist illustrated a different story. One was about Hjalmar Linder the wealthiest man in Finland who fled to Sweden during the 1918 civil war. On his return he found that members of the losing side were still being persecuted (killed) so he wrote a letter to the newspaper saying "enough of this bloodbath" which broke ranks with his peer group. He was then hounded out of the county and eventually died penniless, slashing his own wrists. Another was about left wing activism in the 1930s and 40s. It was being suppressed and so a password " Have you seen a running dog" was used to identify sympathisers. Essentially how people find a way to "object" Yet another was about a book "the Price of Our Freedom" still found in many Finnish homes. It contained a photograph and short description of each of 26000+ people who were killed in the Winter War 1939-1940. The artist had taken the photographs of key people in the book and turned them into ghost like portraits using hundreds of layers of pictures - "the Price of Freedom". Separately there were also general narratives about what Helsinki was like in the past. Pretty rough and ready in the 1920s apparently. Also a photograph gallery with some fantastic photos of Helsinki in the past including one which captured the docks area including market square. I couldn't see a date but perhaps 100+ years ago. All these photos were available for purchase. I kept wandering post the museum. Just walking lost really. Took in a few shops and generally soaked up the city. Liz did much the same. No acquisitions. Liz grabbed a bit of shuteye and we met up again around 7.00 in the hotel bar/restaurant. We decided not to move. The restaurant which the guy in "Radio" restaurant in Tallin recommended was closed ,being Monday night, and the informal dinner they served at the Helka had been pretty good the night before. We both had the open sandwich salmon. Thick chunks of salmon. Liz not the greatest salmon fan (she prefers her fish to be white) but enjoyed it, and I certainly did including polishing a few remnants of salmon from her plate. Of course a couple of craft beers also supped. Liz took it easy as a bit tired and slightly heady. It was relaxing and we headed up around 10.00. I took a quick stroll to walk off dinner but boy had it got cold. I think you can probably keep the Finnish summer. Here we were 12th August and it might have been about 16 degrees out but with a healthy wind that felt around 12-14. I was wishing I had a scarf. This reaffirmed our decision to head back to some warmth in Greece.

Taemin @ Music Bank 2018.09.15 #fan account
I hope it’s okay that I tag everyone who liked my post about writing a fan account. If you don’t care about reading it, please just ignore it. ^^”
 @choiminoh @killyth (tumblr won’t allow me to tag you D:) @moshiznik @chocolatcandy @jinkirella @gone-with-the-bling @frostymist13 (I can’t tag you either - what is this sorcery?) @jasthelion @petitshinee
The people who have read my previous fan accounts know that I ramble a lot in them, so I apologize for that in advance. I will talk about the whole experience which will also include the time before the actual concert. If you don’t want to read the before you can just scroll to the part titled “Concert”
I flew to Berlin on Friday morning and had to get up in the middle of the night (3:30 AM) for it. While I boarded the plane at 7 AM in the morning all I could think was “I’m getting too old for this – for all of this!” Funnily enough I already spotted other fans at the gate flying to Berlin as well. In the morning I met up with a friend of mine who happened to be in Berlin as well on that weekend. We had breakfast and went to a museum; one of those you in which you stand in front of an object, wondering  if “this this art or can it be thrown away?”. Later on I checked into my hostel and met one of my roommates. I shared a room with two other SHINee fans who I met on a Discord channel that was created for the sole purpose of Taemin at Music Bank. She was very lovely, but quickly vanished because she had to wait in line at the concert hall for a number. The numbering system for the standing tickets was a complete mess and people already camped in front of the concert hall on Thursday. My other roommate only arrived at 2 AM in the morning, because after his flight from Denmark he immediately went to the venue to get a number as well. I was just glad that I had a seat and didn’t have to worry about getting a number.
Friday afternoon I met up with @sobeautifulitkillsme which was very frightening and terrifying! I’ve met her on tumblr in July of 2016 and have kept talking to her ever since. I think it was the longest time I’ve talked to someone online that intensely without having them met in real life before. But good news! We don’t hate each other’s guts now and still talk just as much *throws confentti*
Tumblr media
We went to a planetarium because that’s what you do people! Anyway, we had a fun time together and when I came back to the hostel at around 11 PM I just showered (the washroom was awful) and fell into my bed.
The next morning I grabbed breakfast with one of my roommates before we drove to the hall at around 10 AM. The lines were already incredibly long at that point. A lot of fansites and support sites handed out banners, balloons, photocards, and in the case of shawolseurope even lightsticks at the park right next to the venue and the lines for the goods were ridiculous long. You automatically meet a lot of people while waiting for stuff or just hanging around, so I talked to a lot of people though I’ve never learned any of their names. I still wonder who that girl from Norway was. She seemed very nice but I lost sight of her when I had to get into another line. :(
After getting banners I joined my Danish roommate beneath a tree in the park because I didn’t know anyone there and had no idea what I was supposed to do until the concert. My roommate happened to know taedelight who sat beneath the tree as well to give out her super beautiful postcards, therefore I witnessed a lot of Shawols squealing over meeting her. That was very adorable to witness from an outsider point of view. ^^ Anyway, we sat beneath that tree until 3 PM before the people with the standing tickets went into their standing sections (cages - we called them cages) and I went back to the hostel to grab something to eat.
I came back to the venue at 6 PM and sneaked in line for the seating tickets because I spotted Gitte (bblingspot) and while doing so I discovered an old student of mine sitting on the ground (I already feared that would happen because I had so many Kpop fans sitting in my classes). My seat was in Block P and funnily enough I ended up sitting next to a Taemint. The people to my right were all EXO fans and when I stored all my stuff beneath the seat I turned towards her and asked “Are you German?” because I noticed that she was alone in this Block as well. After she answered with Yes and I went on to ask “Whom are you here for?” and she said “For Taemin <3” all I could say was “That’s the correct answer” and we talked throughout the show. She was still super young (either 17 or 18, I forgot) and her friends were in the standing section. She had been a Taemin fan for five years already and was so nervous and excited to finally see him live. I more or less mothered her through the show, told her that it’s okay if she has to cry and if she needs some support that I’m right next to her. She already lost it when Taemin came on stage for the entrance. It was very cute, because I could relate to this so much since I still remember how I felt when Jonghyun came on stage during my first concert of his
Tumblr media
.Concert
Everyone screamed their lungs out when the show finally started. It was insane. Really. One by one the artists came on stage with Korean and German flags in their hands and the volume of the screams only rose. Before the actual start of the show the organizers had already shown videos of the participating artists on the screen and that was already insane. I think I’ve never screamed and cheered as loud as I did during Taemin’s performances before, but as a Shawol I felt the urge to let Taemin know that many people also came to Berlin to cheer for him.
Taemin looked soooo beautiful!! I’ve already seen him live with black hair, and with blue hair, and with blond hair ….but the way they styled his hair that evening! That was incredibly beautiful. I was already in awe after he had just entered the stage. At first I thought he might be not in a good mood because him and the EXO members all looked bored out of their minds in the background while the MCs spoke to the audience, but later on he smiled so much and looked so genuinely happy to be there that I thought the sun was up.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After the introduction all the performers disappeared from the stage again and the concert started with Stray Kids. Except for EXO and obviously Taemin I had no idea who the other artists were, only knew them by name but had not heard a single song by any of them. However, I was pleasantly surprised by Stray Kids! I liked them a lot. They were fun to watch, the songs were nice, and they performed well. Since this wasn’t a SHINee concert it was fun to watch the single SHINee lightsticks stand out from the rest of the audience. Even while Taemin wasn’t performing Shawols supported the other artists by waving their pearl aqua lightsticks around to cheer for them which I thought was very nice. I wasn’t too impressed by either G-Idle’s nor Wanna One’s performances. They both performed really well and sung really well, but the songs just weren’t my cup of tea but it was lovely to hear how many cheered for the only girlgroup in the mix since girlgroups always have it harder at these kind of events (or let’s be honest - in general).
I remember how everyone on tumblr speculated what mysterious performance Taemin could do in Germany after performing Despacito in Chile and Reality in France. My neighbor and I really hoped he would pull a Rammstein or something, but then Chanyeol came on stage with a song that was such an obvious choice that I facepalmed myself for not having it on my mind beforel. Oh my! I mentioned only a week or two ago that in another life I’d be a total Chanyeol stan, because in my world we support talent and musicality, and his performance of Wind of Change was just so lovely?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I melted into a puddle of goo. He performed it with a guitar and his pronunciation was so good and I was all heart eyes.😍
The thing is Wind of change is an incredibly old song, and I’m quite sure 80% of the audience who were 18 or younger had never heard this song before which I think was sad, but I sang along very, very loudly while waving my SHINee lightsticks around (me an actual old person getting all nostalgic). There were also other special stages with Boney M. songs, but just with the Scorpions I’m quite sure most of the audience had no idea who Boney M. were. :’)
Stray Kids, Wanna One, and G-Idle also performed other popular Kpop songs from BTS, GOT7 and Big Bang and the whole venue was shaking. There were also quizzes in between the performances and during one of those quizzes the audience had to decide whether the statements were true or false by making an O or X with their hands. All the artists’ questions were very simple to answer but then the Taemin question was “Taemin’s bloodtype is B” and the whole audience fell silent except for Shawols who all formed an OOOOOOOOOO with their hands. I only said to my neighbor….a question only Shawols can answer. I don’t know why they chose that question to be honest?!! But there was also the statement “Taemin looks very pretty” and the screen showed a short clip of Taemin backstage looking all cute and angelic and everyone was losing it. LMAO
Tumblr media
I’m not biased when I say that Taemin got the most standing ovation. I mean EXO-Ls were insanely loud, but the cheers were still very different. Taemin came on stage and everyone was like
(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ AJIAJSGPIJAPGJWAPSJGPDHOAJORSFJOÜVANWOAJSÜGOJAGOJA!!!!
Myself included!
Even on the way home fans from other groups praised him. He just has that effect on people. But I also heard someone next to us say before the concert “When Taemin comes on stage my friend is going to leave the venue. She hates him and I was just like ???? Why? How? How can anyone hate Taemin? For what? For being awesome???? I was very confused by that statement to be honest.
Taemin started off with MOVE and I was so happy to finally see that performance live. Oh man, he looked so good *cries* The fanchants were so good! The best fanchants during the evening! I was so proud of Shawols! I even received comments from Korean shawols on the video I uploaded, praising Ishawols for their fanchants. They were really good and all on point! You did well Shawols!!!
Taemin was all professionally sensual during the performance but as soon as he song was over he smiled so brightly. It was soooooo adorable. Unlike the other performers he didn’t say anything in German or English, which I thought was a pity. (Addition: Apparently he did say “Hallo ich bin Taemin von SHINee” but I didn’t hear that. It must have been drowned out by cheers) Either way, in that moment I had the very sad thought that if Jonghyun would be standing there on stage (as a known lover of the German language) he probably would have said “Achtung Achtung! Ich bin Jonghyun” unleashing all his German skills. :’)
So, Taemin continued talking and joked around with the audience, being his playful and dorky self and I think at this point everyone in the audience was already in love with him. I mean how can you not? He’s just so precious. He performed Press Your Number next (that’s the point when I started filming as well). After Press Your Number Taemin showed us his surprise and all the Shawols went crazy when Minho and Key appeared on the screen behind Taemin. I already expected something like an introduction for Taemin like Key did for the Music Bank in Chile but hearing them sing together was too much for my poor heart. It was soooo precious. Taemin’s face lit up so much when he saw his members on the screen, it was so cute, all my mother feels awakened and I cheered even louder.
Tumblr media
Taemin also performed Hynposis and Danger and both performances were soooooooo awesome. The Shawol ocean looked so beautiful during Hypnosis and I was so touched by how many pearl aqua lightsticks lit up during it. Taemin sounded absolutely fantastic through all of his performances and his outfit was sooo nice and he looked so handsome in it. I was so sad when he left after his last performance because he could have stayed there forever. I don’t think EXO-Ls would have approved of that, but it was so nice to see him live again after over a year.
For the final everyone came back again to the main stage, holding banners in their hands and when Taemin turned to our side I started waving both my lighsticks very frantically and he waved back almost as frantically with both arms ;_; It was adorable. In general, Taemin made sure to walk to every section and wave at all the pearl aqua lightsticks he could see. Such a precious human. The show ended with Gangnam style and while Taemin held back at first he then wandered over to Kai, whispered something into his ear and the two of them walked to the middle of the center stage together with someone from Wanna One (don’t know his name…I’m sorry) and then they went completely nuts, acting like absolute dorks. I think you can find a video of that as well. All this couldn’t be seen on the main screen though, because the people behind the camera had a thing for Daniel Kang (who I only know from  watching Master Key) and filmed him throughout the final stage – literally only him – nobody else. I was very confused.
When everyone threw their banners into the audience I already expected great things from Taemin and he didn’t disappoint. He went to the edge of the stage and threw his banner – very poorly. It fell down right away and didn’t even reach the first row. I laughed so hard at that. He threw it so gracefully and yet he failed completely….He was the only one who didn’t manage to throw the banner accurately I might add. I don’t know what happened to it later. One of the staff might have picked it up to hand it to one of the fans.
Everything went by so quickly and before I knew what was happening I was outside of the venue already, looking for my roommates. It was such a nice experience, really. And it was so lovely to see Taemin smile so brightly and look so happy to see so many Shawols in the audience. It warmed my heart. Really.
This was very fragmentary but Taemin only performed 4 songs + the “I want you” duet with MinKey, so there is not much else to say. But you all probably have seen photos/videos of his performances already and know how beautiful he looked that night – he really did.
I hope he will have a splendid time during his Japan tour and will rock the audience. But I also hope that he will have time to rest in between, because this tour surely will bring him to his limits. Please take good care of yourself, Taeminnie! Eat well and rest well! You deserve the world!!!

An Ultimate Guide on the Factors to Consider Before Buying an Event Ticket
Tumblr media
There is a certain show that you can’t wait to attend, and you need to make sure that you get the tickets so that you do not miss the chance to attend it.  Making sure you have that ticket ready for the date is not a simple task, and you need to make sure you buy from the authorized dealers.  To ensure the ticket you get is real and on the right price, check out the text below for some tips on how to shop wisely. Below is an ultimate guide on the factors to consider before buying an event ticket.
Check out the artists at https://www.ticketrangers.com/travel-republic-tickets-and-review who will be performing at the event and it will help you determine if you want to buy the tickets or not. The artists performing are the ones who will make the event beautiful and enjoyable, so make sure they are the best in what they do, and you will avoid wasting your money.
See if the event organizers have added a few more activities to make the experience unique apart from the main event that you will be attending. Some events will have workshops or camping before the main event, so if you like these activities go for it and you will have unique experience.

BTS LY 10/3 GA EXPERIENCE
I was in the GA for the October 3rd BTS Love Yourself Tour in Chicago at the United Center and I want to document my experience not only for myself, but because I want to help other people who are debating about possibly doing GA in the future. If you don’t want details, Skip to the very end…
Let me start by saying that if you ever get the chance to do it you seriously SHOULD. What I’m about to talk about sounds like a lot and there were dozens of moments I thought “what did we do?!?!?” but I have to say, the moment a member is 7 feet in front of you NOTHING ELSE MATTERS! Not recording. Not how much your feet hurt. Not the ARMY BOMB by you ear. NOTHING. It’s incredible. So now that I have that out of the way let me tell you about my experience.
I was 10000% lucky and I managed to get 5 GA tickets on May 5, the day they came out, within 10 minutes of the sale starting. My mom’s iPad saved my life where 5 laptops could not. I’d never bought tickets before so I was nervous as hell and was on my phone with my friend, http://dingdangdiggity.tumblr.com/, starting 2 hours before hand and I NEVER let the screens go dark. It was tense and the fact I got it never registered until a month later.
Oct 2, Britt and her sister, Val ( http://missvalerieann5.tumblr.com/ ) came up and spent the night since I’m not far from Chicago and they are. Oct 3, we were up at 4. I am not a Chicago driver and I wanted to beat traffic and I mean, GA line am I right??? So friend number 3, Jax https://average-jax.tumblr.com/ , comes over because she lives near me and we head up, stopping on the way to pick up our newest edition to the friendship, Megan https://warmyoon.tumblr.com/ and we are off.
Now parking was supposed to be weird. Rumor was lots opened at 10 and we were getting there at 7:30 so the day before I used Spothero to get a spot in a garage 15 mins from the UC. I had planned to move the car to a closer lot when it opened but chose instead to extend the time where it was from 6pm-12am for another $5 so in the end parking was a 15 min walk down the street for $20 instead of the $25-29 they were charging at the venue. Plus it was going around lot C would open at 8am and other would open at 5pm and like no I was not fucking around with that.
So we did end up in the merch line on accident before we realized GA was on the other side of the building. Even with wasting a half hour though, it wasn’t a hug issue since we saw people who passed us in merch were only like 2 people ahead of us when we got in GA. Now here’s the thing with GA. People camp out. In this case, they started camping Friday for Tuesday’s concert as well as Wednesday. Some of them did both concerts some just did one. Either way, people were annoyed. The venue said they would honor the unofficial line, since official started at 10 am on D-day, if everyone was organized. So they handed out unofficial bands with numbers until they could get the official ones. Let’s just say after waking up at 4am, I didn’t give a single shit where I was in line and it was like 8 am and I had to pee so fucking bad. So Jax, Britt and I walked the length of the line towards the building because rumor on Twitter was security was letting us use the bathrooms inside. Holy. Shit. The tension was insane. These people were so pissed like we got GLARED AT for walking towards the front. I got pissed back and started screaming “I don’t give a shit about your line, I have to fucking pee!” and “I stopped caring about you’re line when I woke up at 4, I have to piss!” I guess some crazy bitch tried yelling at us. Whatever. It was hell up there. People were yelling about not bothering with the numbers since it was’t official and others were all about those numbers. I was happy to be in the back. But yeah, we got to pee and return to the back with the horror stories about the crabby pre-campers.
Val had guessed being 804 which was funny cuz we got #799-803. Rule was be back in order at 4 pm, doors opened at 5:30 and concert at 8. So we had agreed to run straight to the LG experience thing. We wanted to do the thing where the screen shows your bias like they’re next to you so bad, but for Chicago it was a raffle. You either reached in and got the pink ball to do that, a yellow ball to record a message for BTS or a blue ball where you got NOTHING. Rumor is LA let everyone do the picture. So that pissed me off. Other than that, it was still cool to take pics with the cut outs. We checked out merch and saw the line wasn’t terrible so we tried it and yeah a lot was sold out, but it went by so quick compared to the Wings tour in Rosemont. The whole C lot was set up for merch, LG, dancing, and pictures so it felt like a convention and it was really nice.
My biggest advice apart from BRING MONEY is HAVE WATER and make sure you HAVE FOOD. Snacks. Sandwiches. Anything. We had chips and water bottles and decided to walk down 15 mins to the Mcdonalds, which sucked cuz it was 85 degrees and sunny, and when we came back we went right back to where we’d been that morning so it would be quicker to get organized…which was a cluster fuck. Everyone was tired. It was now 5 pm but listen, second biggest advice is DON’T BE A DICK! Seriously. Security wanted single file order and they delayed letting us in because people would rather bitch with the fans trying to help. Rule of thumb, if you’re number 1400, don’t bother standing where the 300s go. Security wanted us in order and they fucking MADE SURE we were so it was pointless to refuse to move to the back cuz you had to wait anyway. So when someone is trying to put 600s here and 700s here and 800s move back, don’t bitch about it. Just fucking do it.
Now this is what you really want to know. Number 800, how close was I. Pretty. Fucking. Close. So the stage has the main stage, a jut out in the middle and then another lengthy stage (you know what I mean). We were off to stage left, audience right at like………if you’re on the farthest jut out in the center, we were on your 9 0’clock. Now I am 5’4” so when they performed songs on the main stage, I couldn’t see shit without being on my tip toes or looking at my camera or the screen. So that did suck. I wish we’d been closer. We were about 5 rows back from the barricade and below will be pics to show you my views. But like…I was 5 feet from every single member at one point. They could see me. They are so fucking handsome. It made the entire experience worth it. Seriously. even with 1400+ people in the pit, it was fantastic. I probably won’t do it again for money, time and stress sake unless a ticket fell into my lap, but it was a wonder thing to do and I suggest it for sure.
Now that you’ve read it all here are my tips for any GA goers:
Get their early if you want first dibs but remember that you’ll still be closer to them than you have ever been before and that once it starts and they move around, you will be shifting constantly throughout the night.
Scout out the area before hand whether you go there and drive around or check it out on Google Maps. Know what kind of food and stores are around and how far of a walk it is.
BRING WATER!!!!! You will need it all day so you don’t faint. I took in an empty bottle and filled it in the bathroom before the show. Not all venues will let you but better to throw away an empty bottle later than to go in and realize you could have had it.
PORTABLE CHARGERS!!!!!!!! Make sure your phone has space and enough charge for the whole day and night without an outlet. We charged ours at MCDonalds. Mine got to 33% by the end and had storage issues so I couldn’t record the end. Everyone else’s died.
Bring FOOD! Anything will do as long as you snack. I don’t eat during events like this but I make myself just in case.
If it’s hot and sunny, bring a cheap umbrella to block the sun and catch any breeze. It was 85 F during the day.
If it’s cold, bring a cheap blanket. It was only 60 F when we got there.
HAVE FUN! Be comfy! Make friends. Ask about biases. Remember there are people there with legit tents. Bring whatever you want as long as you can either throw it away, keep hold of it, or have someone get it for you to take home.
Tumblr media
The line goes up and around the corner all the way to the building
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So yeah hard to see when they were back there
Tumblr media
Joon was by us a lot
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hobi was by us the most
Tumblr media
Jimin was apparently checking on a fan who was about to faint.
I didn’t get a lot of Tae, Jin, or Kook but Hobi and Joon were on our side a lot and Jimin and Yoongi bounced around. But yeah...that was my experience.
Any questions? EDIT: Britt just did this to her’s and I forgot but I put blood, sweat and tears into this pictures so you BETTER CREDIT ME if you share them.

Her [Kim Namjoon]
Fandom: BTS ARMY
Pairing: idol!Namjoon x fan!Reader
Summary: Reader bumps into BTS while they are on tour in her hometown. And their faithful leader can’t stop thinking about her.
Warning: USING STAGE NAMES AT FIRST - until the character gets to know then. Cheesy and stupid because I’m now bangtan trash.
Tumblr media
It started when your cousin took the aux cord. She asked if she could play a song and you said yes, the two of you had similar music so you knew she would play something good. She looked over at you eagerly as the music flowed through the speakers. You smiled and bopped your head to the music when you heard the beat.
“Who is this?” You asked, when you couldn’t make out the words.
“BTS.” She exclaimed excitedly. You narrowed your eyebrows at her, you eyes only leaving the road for a second. “It’s k-pop!”
Your eyes widened and your mouth dropped. “No way!” That song and the other songs of the group she played was nothing like what you thought k-pop was
That night you went home and did some research. It took a while before you learned their names and their most popular songs. Your life became quiet after that- other than being consumed by videos of the boys being dorks. It helped when your mom was in the hospital and all you could do was sit next to her for hours while she slept.
It kind of seemed like fate when your cousin texted you that BTS was coming to your town, you knew how much she liked them and offered to go with her. By this time you knew how big they were and that getting tickets would be impossible but of all places they were coming to your hometown, that laughing stalk of your state, so you picked up a couple of extra shifts at work to be able to afford the tickets.
It took you a while to actually buy them, there were more things you could have used the money for but you knew you would need something to look forward to for the next couple of months.
The day that felt like it would never come finally arrived, you knew the area where the venue was in fact, you have been there too many times to count. You didn’t need to camp out because you bought seated tickets but still arrived early. You stood in line talking to some of the other fans, feeling slightly embarrassed that you were older than most of them but your cousin took your mind off of things.
The concert was better than you imagined, the crowd was insane, so enthusiastic. Some of the girls around you gave you looks when you didn’t know the lyrics to some of their songs but you and your cousin still had a good time. The concert ended pretty late and everyone went home but you were full of energy, the walk to your ‘spot’ was not far and the weather was beautiful. Buzzing, you walked to the tea shop, giggling about how good your biases looked.
The two of you sat down, drank tea, played cards and scrolled through social media before you knew it, the shop owners were telling you they were closing early tonight. You got up, confused, this time of year the shop is open until 3 am. You apologized hastily, if you knew you were running out of time you would have been out of their hair a while ago.
Because the shop was closing, you weren’t expecting someone to be on the other side of the door. You head was turned, saying goodbye to the owners when you bumped into someone, sending you stumbling back. A hand reached out for you but just missed, your cousin stepped forward to grab you, catching you at the last minute.
“I am so sorry!” You exclaimed, the hand reaching out to help you up.
“You’re the one on the floor and you’re saying sorry?” Your breath caught in your throat. You knew that voice. You looked up to see none other than your bias in the flesh. You cousin looked up, dropping you in shock but thankfully RM had his hand around yours, able to hold you up.
“I- uh- Yeah. I mean I didn’t see you there. I wasn’t paying attention, I’m so sorry.” You blurted, making him chuckle.
“Let me buy you a drink as an apology?” He asked. You nodded, turning to walk back into the shop, your cousin’s mouth was still open, her eyes nearly as wide. You walked to the table you were just sitting at, everyone squeezed around as best they could even though they could have just joined another table. “So whats good here?” RM asked. Your cousin looked at you and the both of you giggled grabbing a menu. You have brought countless new people here so you had explaining the menu down to a T.
“Where are you from?” J-hope asked slowly, you smiled at his effort to converse.
“Here.” You said simply.
“Really? So that means we’re at the good spot right?” He asked, some of the other boys nodded, the rest smiled, not really understanding.
“Best place in town.” You grinned. You wanted to give them kudos on the concert but wasn’t sure if that would make you sound creepy, but your cousin beat you to it.
“Great concert!” She blurted. You looked at her with wide eyes but it was already out there so you just nodded.
“You guys were great.” You added.
“You come to concert?” Jungkook asked.
“It was amazing.” You smiled. They thanked you and you asked them if they had the chance to explore the town. It may have been your states joke but it had some beautiful spots. RM explained that they drove around a bit yesterday but they’ve mostly been practicing and after they relaxed a bit they were going to bed and around again tomorrow during the day. They had another show in your city two days from now and they they were leaving. You offered to show them something but the boys looked wary. You promised that not only was it not far but you would not get them into trouble. RM, Jungkook, and J-hope agreed, the rest were tired and went back to the hotel which was only a short walk away from both the place you were now and the place you were going to show them.
It was a university building, because it was for students, it was open 24 hours a day however some of the classrooms were locked and there were camera’s and guards everywhere. When you walked into the main lobby, the security guard stood to question you but smiled when he saw what was in your hand. You handed him the cup of his favorite tea and he grinned.
“12?” He asked and you nodded. He sat back down and you made your way to the elevator.
On the twelfth floor there was a wall made entirely of glass, and from there you could see the entire city, sparkling with lights. The guys wowed in awe, making you smiled, you’d hoped you would get that reaction.
“Sometimes my friends and I come up here to talk, sometimes we just sit and watch the city.” You smiled, looking out smiling to yourself when you saw familiar buildings.
Jungkook nudged his hyung, motioning his head to their leader. J-hope could only see his back but through the reflection of the glass he could see his leader smiling at you.
They took a few photo’s then Jungkook’s phone pinged and he sighed, showing it to his brothers. RM ran a hand through his hair frustratedly.
“What’s wrong?” You asked softly.
“The others got recognized and now there’s a mob at the front of the hotel.” He groaned. You knew BTS loved their fans, they wouldn’t have given you a second look otherwise but you also knew how exhausted they were.
“No biggie, I know a shortcut.” You smiled. RM’s head snapped in your direction.
“Seriously?”
“Of course! All these old buildings are connected. We can just take the tunnels.”
“Tunnels?” J-hope stepped forward. He didn’t know a lot of English but he knew tunnels were sketchy.
“It’s not that bad! C’mon.” You lead them back to the elevator. From the basement, it was a ten minute walk past mostly empty hallways to the basement of the hotel.
“This place is crazy!” RM said, walking beside you.
“It’s not so bad once you figure everything out.” You shrugged and smiled for what felt like the hundredth time that night.
“Thanks for doing this- going through all this trouble, you didn’t have to...”
“Y/N.”
“Y/N.” He repeated, smiling. “Namjoon.” He said, you nodded already knowing.
The doors opened to parking 2 and you and your cousin got out, you were on such a high you forgot to thank them.
The doors were about to close when Namjoon stuck his hand between them, nearly getting his had crushed. Multiple gasps and exclamations could be heard as the door stopped then opened again.
“Are you busy tomorrow?” Namjoon asked. Your jaw dropped and so did the others. J-hope and Jungkook had no idea why their leader just nearly injured himself or lept out of the elevator. “It’s just that we might need a tour guide and after tonight I don’t know if anyone is going to be able to top you.” He said shyly.
“Wouldn’t your staff had taken care of that a long time ago?” You asked. He shrugged. You took a pen out of your pocket and wrote your number on the back of his hand.
“Figure it out then give me a call?” You giggled pushing him back into the elevator.
Namjoon couldn’t stop smiling, he hasn’t felt this way for a long time. He put your number into his phone instantly. Jungkook and Hoseok told the others about what happened as soon as they got to their floor. Namjoon was almost ready for bed when the other members invaded his room.
“Whats wrong?” He asked, a toothbrush hanging out of his mouth. But they all just stood and stared at him. He narrowed his eyes at his brothers.
“Are you going to call her?” Jin asked. Namjoon almost choked on toothpaste. He shook his head, ducking into the washroom to rinse his mouth, coming back out to see the other six waiting for him.
“She seemed nice.” V said.
“You obviously like her.” Yoongi added. Namjoon opened his mouth but Yoongi was not done. “If you didn’t, you wouldn’t be smiling so much.”
Namjoon let his smile drop, not even noticing that he was smiling.
“There’s no point.” He sighed. “It would never work.”
“But you want it to work?” Jimin asked, “that means you like her enough to want something.”
“Enough!” Namjoon exclaimed. “We’re all tired and we have a big day ahead of us tomorrow.” He shooed them out of his room, he was tired but he couldn’t sleep. He stared at your phone number for who knows how long, starting a text then deleting it then starting one again.
You obviously like her.

Titanic, Jersey and a brand new home
It’s New Years Day 2019 and much like everyone else, I like to look back over the last 12 months to just remind myself of all the things I’ve done in just a few short months. Simply put, I’ll pick out a few highlights from each month to reminisce over.
January. Always a weird one I find, but often can throw in some nice events. You come out of Christmas not knowing what the new year will bring or what you’ll achieve, but I like the uncertainty. Two things to mention in the first month of the year was that I was lucky enough to get a ticket to watch Yeovil VS Man United in the FA cup at Huish which was actually electric, despite a 4-0 less it was a great evening out and something I’ll remember. A massive thing for myself in January was auditioning for an FMTC show, more specifically ‘Titanic’ that was to be on in May. Easily one of the most nerve wracking things I’ve ever done, but I managed to secure the role of ‘Jim Farrell’. More on this show later.
February and a couple of nice little highlights. First proper gig of the year was Don Broco in Cardiff and I was back on stage again, playing ‘Hugo’ in ‘the Vicar of Dibley’. This was a brilliant role to play with a fantastic bunch of people, especially the incredibly talented Tina who was our Geraldine.
Tumblr media
March and it snowed. A lot. Several times. I loved it. We always head to the David Beech awards in March and this year Tri Art walked away with ‘Best Youth Production’ for the stunning ‘Les Mis’. We also got the Vicar of Dibley crowd together again for a fun gala event and Jess and I went to an evening with Brian Blessed in Salisbury where we were fortunate enough to meet the man afterwards, what a life and what a fantastic evening.
April was a good month. I took Ed to Wookey Hole because he’d never been), Jess and I found a little National Trust gem in Great Chalfield Manor, I saw my first ever live rugby match watching Bath at Twickenham (it had nothing on football, sorry), there was a lovely day out with Jess’s work as we took part in a pets as therapy dog walk around Prior Park, The Star Awards took place, a group of us headed to the Mayflower in Southampton to watch the professional version of Titanic: The musical in preparation for our own production and Lower than Atlantis put on an incredible show at Komedia in Bath.
Tumblr media
May. Titanic. I truly would never have believed that I would have ever been in an FMTC show, but after months of rehearsals we put on what was the most incredible show at the Memorial Theatre. I have never been so proud of what we achieved as a group of people, but also of myself. I’ll never forget the show, nor the people or the journey. Hands down one of the best things I’ve ever done in my life. I must of course mention the Slam Dunk festival, which in 2018 moved to a new outdoor home. I was dubious at first, but it turns out it was a huge improvement to the now overcrowded university space and one of the best years yet. I was lucky enough to be given tickets by my brother to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in London this month, and I have to say it was probably the best thing I’ve seen on a stage. I know lots of fans disagree, but I was simply blown away by the production and urge anyone to go and see the show if they can. To make May even better, myself and Jess visited a sales office for a house that was yet to be built too… June and Scott had his stag do down in Weymouth. This was great fun and involved Ed purchasing an OAP trolley, drag queens and superhero outfits. June always means the End of Year Show at work, and of course who could forget the World Cup this year. June also saw a little proud moment for me as I put on show some of my photographs from the past few years at the Merlin Theatre. It was so exciting to see my images on the walls of the venue they were from as well as getting them off my computer and opening them to a new audience.
July and handsome Scott got married on a hot summers day and I was lucky enough to be his photographer. July also saw a fun garden party for G’s 18th and the continuation of the heatwave that, despite insane temperatures, was actually fantastic.
August and some rest bite from work saw a few days out with Jess’s family in lieu of a full blown holiday away which actually worked so well with Dave buying a minibus to ship us all around in. Nunney Street Fayre took place on the annual bank holiday and we climbed the church roof to gain a new view of the village, Tri Art’s show this year was ‘In the Heights’ (I highly recommend it) and we had a little charity football tournament in the style of ‘The real world cup’. The best part of August though had to be my holiday to Jersey. I haven’t been away in so long and a small handful of us took the ferry to the island where we camped under the stars, visited lots of historical landmarks and drank lots of wine. A wonderful few days away with fantastic friends.
Tumblr media
September is my birthday and it’s always improved when Cheese Show falls on the same day. With the end of the heatwave saw rainy days and this continued through to the carnival, but Frome did itself proud again and lined the streets as we advertised our two upcoming shows of ‘Joruney’s End’ and the Christmas show which this year was going to be ’The Nutcracker’. The new term at work began, and I became a student again as I began my course to become a qualified teacher.
October and the nights draw in which means making time for warming winter gigs. Two I went to this month were the awesome Hands Like Houses and a stellar comeback for Lonely the Brave as Jack (of Grumble Bee fame) becaMe the new lead singer for the Band. I was lucky enough to see him and the band play their first show together, but not before catching a matinee in the west end seeing ‘School of Rock’ with Kirst.
November this year saw one of the best gigs I’ve been to in a long time, with State Champs blowing the room off the Bristol O2. We were also making the final preparations for the upcoming Nutcracker shows at the Merlin and Jess and I spent a lot of time packing up our lives from Newington Terrace.
December. Jess and I finally had the keys to our first ever owned home and we couldn’t be happier. Our new little house is beautiful and we couldn’t be more proud to have spent our first Christmas here. I cooked for 7 of us as we piled the whole Merritt family into our new living room.
Tumblr media
So that was 2018. A year of real highs and a lot I have to be thankful for.
2019 has lots already booked in including my next show starring in ‘Allo Allo’, potentially auditioning for FMTC’s Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Jess and I need to put the final touches into our new home, I need to buy my Slam Dunk ticket for May, I’m taking Jess to see American Idiot in Southampton and dad turns 60 this year.
I don’t have any real resolutions, but I’d like to read more novels, get back into running and take a real holiday with Jess
Album of the Year // Tough call this year, but I think ‘VI’ by You Me at Six was an underrated great piece of music
Game of the Year // Spider-Man. An essential PS4 exclusive.
Movie of the Year // A whole host of great movies came out this year, but I’d have to say that Mission Impossible Fallout was one of the best. The biggest disappointment for me was that Fantastic Beasts 2 couldn’t get anywhere near the original masterpiece.
Thanks 2018 and Hi 2019.
Bring it on.

Sports is the one thing that unites everyone in the world. It is the largest community in the world and is driven by love and passion for each individual game. It is the largest source of entertainment in my opinion and for something so big, you need to have the correct stage.
Camp Nou
Camp Nou was first opened in 1957. Located in Barcelona, Spain, Camp Nou is home to the European soccer power house Barcelona. The $1.73 billion stadium with a capacity of 99, 354, has an atmosphere that is one of the best in the world and can be heard miles from the Stadium. The record attendance for game is a staggering 120,000.
Wembley
England’s unofficial Royal palace is the home of sports in the United Kingdom. One of Europe’s most newly built stadiums, constructed in 2007. The capacity is 90,000 and is known as the home of football across the world. England is the capital national for football, soccer for my American friends so its fitting to have such a master piece in the heart of England.
Allianz Arena
Beautiful to say the least, the Allianz Arena located in Munich Germany is unique compared to other stadiums across Europe. Constructed in 2002, the stadium took three years to build and was opened in 2005. The cost of construction was $340 million and is one of the only stadiums with the ability to change colors. The stadium Capacity is 75,000 and is home of the German/ European big 5 team, Bayern Munich.
https://allianz-arena.com/en
Santiago Bernabeu
Home of Barcelona’s rivals, Real Madrid the stadium was fist constructed in 1947. Although Barcelona may have the better stadium, the Santiago buernubeu is home to the most successful club in Europe. Hosts of numerous “el classico” where Barcelona vs Real Madrid would compete for some of Europe’s most prestige trophies, the atmosphere at such a game is some of the world’s greatest. With nothing short of passion this is truly one of Europe’s famous stadiums.
Anfield Road
The is the greatest stadium in the world as its home to my favorite club Liverpool FC. The Fans is what makes this stadium what it is. Although he capacity is 45,300, you out the fans of Liverpool in the stands you will feel like there is 100,000. There famous saying posted on the walls “you’ll never walk alone” truly holds up o its name. You will never come across another set of fans that bring such a passion and love for the game that truly makes the atmosphere in this stadium one of the best in the world.
Croke Park
Located in Irelands capital Dublin, this is the home of their national sport Gaelic football and Hurling. There is no bigger stage to play on in Ireland then Croke Park. With the capacity of 80,000 this is Irelands biggest arena and one of Europe’s. Host to the all-Ireland county finals, you will find the stands full to the brim with people cheering their home county on. Irelands national sport requires the best of the best for their players to play on and Croke park is nothing short of that.
San Siro
The biggest stadium in Italy, San Siro is located in Milan and is home to Italy’s second biggest team, AC Milan. The stadium is the perfect for fans as everyone gets an equal view regardless of their ticket. Its design is an oval so that it gives everyone the perfect angle to view the game. Its capacity is 80,000. It is also situated in Milan. Who wouldn’t want to go to Milan.
Aviva
Irelands second biggest stadium and home to Irish football, this is the Football Association of Ireland (FAI)pride and joy. The Irish men’s National team plays here and has played some of the biggest countries in Europe. The Most Famous moment in this Arena is Shane longs goal that put Ireland into the European finals for the first time in over 20 years.  The Capacity is 45,000
Stadio Olimpico
One of the best atmospheres in soccer can be found in the Stadio Olimpico located in Turismo Italy. It is home to the football club Roma and fans have said that it can be overwhelming. The fans make the stadium by creating such an intimidation that players have often commented that hey hate to play Roma as their fans are some of the best in the world and they put a sense of pressure like no other. The stadium was constructed in 1937 and has the Capacity of 72,698
Celtic Park
Lastly, we have Celtic park which has the best atmosphere in any stadium when it comes a local derby in the United Kingdom. Located in Scotland, Celtic park is home to Celtic FC and its fans much like the Roma fans in Italy, create a sense of intimidation.
