Mabel Martin (Mabel):
the girl half-burning!!! the bitch queen of hell!!! dead girl walking!!! rot-hearted girl!!!! consort to king anna limon!!!! lesbian icon!!!!
Who is doing it like Mabel Martin? No one. She's a lesbian. She is the lamb, and the knife. She is so loved that god herself tore a hole between worlds to find her again. She tore out her own veins to bargain with the house that holds her. She is the girl half-burning, she kept a bullet that came out of her (it was hers. she birthed it), she is the Labyrinth. And she is the Minotaur.
a vote for Mabel is a vote for insane codependent lesbians everywhere 👍 also for women with large noses (the hottest of women)
Hera (Wolf 359):
I don't care if she's an AI with no physical form, she is HOT
my digital wife <3
oh it's always "i want a hot computergirl with poor cable management to glitch on my shit" and "i want to fuck her until she bluescreens" on this website until it's time to put your money where your mouth is. i have a post about usb penetration with tens of thousands of notes. i see the things you all say. you have a hot computergirl in front of you and this is how you all repay her? you would abandon her? prove yourselves as the computer sex website; vote for hera NOW!!!
"everyone voting Hera in this round is doing it strictly because she is an AI" WRONG. INCORRECT. everyone voting for hera is doing it because she's funny and thoughtful and passionate and wears her heart on her sleeve despite all of the times people have let her down. because she's anti-authority, and that's sexy. it's sexy that she's an AI because the way she navigates being a woman in that context is inherently transgender, and THAT'S sexy, but on its own? not even like, top five most relevant things about her. self-determination? that's sexy.
VOTE FOR HERA. i'm not done. i've made the case that she would want this more, and that's true, but you should also want her. the propaganda says she doesn't have a physical form - in one sense, that's true, but she DOES have an internal self-image and the desire for physicality. most of the physical sensations she's experienced so far have been painful - think of what you could do for her. she has human desire without the means to act on it. she's the most touch starved anyone has ever been. making love to someone who can't be touched by conventional means IS inherently sexy and it IS a win for disabled trans women everywhere.
she's passionate and kind of emotionally unstable and fiercely loyal - "officer eiffel? he's your deadman's switch. if you let him die, or if you do anything that doesn't fall under the category of do no harm, i will go off. i will rain acid on your ass. i will crank the temperature in the room so high that your skin will crack, and bubble, and burn. i will vent you into space through a hole the size of a quarter. and if i am feeling very, very generous, i won't do all those things slowly." like come on!! what more do you want!!
VOTE FOR HERA. my final, last-minute appeal: her character arc is fundamentally about identity, autonomy, and being seen the way she wants to be seen. the way she navigates her identity as a woman in this context is inherently transgender, and that IS sexy. she's funny, she's passionate, she's sweet, she's been let down repeatedly by almost everyone she's ever met and she still opens her heart to people because she so badly craves connection. she's frustrated, touch starved, and pent up, and was initially rejected from service because of her impulsive, emotional, unorthodox way of thinking. i have so much more i could say on her behalf, but this IS a contest of sex appeal. thinking outside the box, breaking rules, and reaching beyond the limitations of her own form is so central to who she is. hera could come up with freak shit beyond the comprehension of the average person, and she IS enthusiastic enough to make it work.

me and my friends have this crack theory that is so dear to my heart it became an inside joke in the group.
The crack theory is that "shin is a robot" or like moreso a doll in this universe. You might say where did this come from, well one day on a call with a friend we discussed shin death, and then i went, "wait, how the fuck did shin run all that way toward the room of rumbles", i mean we are talking about shin, not qtaro, shin. Shin was probably shot in the arms and leg, and a bullet must've have come close to his head to explain the bleeding. How did shin, the weaket character in the game was SHOT in the limbs and was able to run FASTER THAN SARA towards the room of rumble. Shady right well then he's a robot!
Also i have other proofs, shin in his vision sees himself dead, just like he actually has died just before the death game, in none of the minigame do we see shin bleeding.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(this could be sara blood)
also about the fact that shin bleed in his death, reminder that if dolls can sweat, have tears , and other bodily liquid i'm pretty sure they can bleed if you work hard enough. or another option, that wasn't actually blood, they just threw tomato juice on shin.
That's why shin changes eyes color so much their cameras, like led lights that's why it's change every second
every night he plugs his usb cable to charge
the music sou not so sou come from a a speaker on his chest
he talks binary fluently that's why he's teki cousin

I'm kickstarting the audiobook for "The Internet Con: How To Seize the Means of Computation," a Big Tech disassembly manual to disenshittify the web and make a new, good internet that picks up where the old, good internet left off. It's a DRM-free book, which means Audible won't carry it, so this crowdfunder is essential. Back now to get the audio, Verso hardcover and ebook:

Every trip to Defcon – the massive annual hacker-con in Las Vegas – is a delight. Partly it's the familiar – seeing old friends, getting updates on hacks of years gone by. But mostly, it's the surprises, the things you never anticipated. Defcon never fails to surprise.
I got back from Vegas yesterday and I've just unpacking my suitcase, and with it, the tangible evidence of Defcon's cave of wonders. My gear bag has a new essential: Hak5's malicious cable detector, a little USB gizmo that lights up if it detects surreptitious malicious activity, even as it interdicts those nasty payloads:
https://shop.hak5.org/collections/omg-row2/products/malicious-cable-detector-by-o-mg
(In case you're wondering if it's really possible to craft a malicious USB cable that injects badware into your computer and is visually indistinguishable from a regular cable, the answer is a resounding yes, and of course, Hak5 sells those cables, with a variety of USB tips:)
https://shop.hak5.org/collections/omg-row2/products/omg-cable
But merch is only a sideshow. The real action is in the conference rooms, where hackers update you on the pursuit of their obsessions. These are such beautiful weirdos who pursue knowledge to ridiculous extremes, untangling gnarly hairballs just to follow a thread to its origin point.
For the second year in a row, I caught a presentation from Joseph Gabay about his work on warshopping: slicing up shopping cart wheels and haunting shopping mall parking lots during resurfacing to figure out how the anti-theft mechanism that stops your cart from leaving the parking lot works:
https://www.begaydocrime.com/
And of course, I got to give one of those presentations, "An Audacious Plan to Halt the Internet's Enshittification," to a packed house. What a thrill! It was livestreamed, and if you missed it, you'll be able to catch it on Defcon's Youtube page as soon as they upload it (they've got a lot of uploading to do!):
https://www.youtube.com/@DEFCONConference/videos
Tumblr media
After my talk, I went back to the No Starch Press booth for a book signing – which was amazing, so many beautiful hackers, plus I got to share a signing table with Micah Lee. As I was leaving, Bill Pollock slipped me a giant hardcover art-book, and said, "You're gonna love this."
Tumblr media
I did. The book is Open Circuits: The Inner Beauty of Electronic Components, by Windell Oskay and Eric Schlaepfer, and it is a drop-dead gorgeous collection of photos of electronic components, painstakingly cross-sectioned and polished:
Tumblr media
The photos illustrate layperson-friendly explanations of what each component does, how it is constructed, and why. Perhaps you've pondered a circuit board and wondered about the colorful, candy-shaped components soldered to it. It's natural to assume that these are indivisible, abstract functional units, a thing that is best understood as a reliable and deterministic brick that can be used to construct a specific kind of wall.
Tumblr media
But peering inside these sealed packages reveals another world, a miniature land where things get simpler – and more complex. Inside these blobs of resin are snips of wire, plugs of wax, simple screws, fine sheets of metal in stacks, wafers of plain ceramic, springs and screws.
Tumblr media
Truly, quantity has a quality all its own. Miniaturize these assemblies and produce them at unimaginable scale and the simple, legible components turn into mystical black boxes that only the most dedicated study can reveal. Like every magician's trick, the unfathomable effect is built up through the precise repetition of something very simple.
Tumblr media
A prolonged study of Open Circuits reveals something important about the hacker aesthetic, a collection of graphic design, fashion and industrial design conventions that begins with this realization: that the crisp lines of digital logic can be decomposed into blobby, probabilistic lumps of metal, plastic, and even wax.
Tumblr media
It reminds me of George Dyson's brilliant memoir/history of computing, Turing's Cathedral, where he describes how he and the other children of the scientists building the first digital computers at the Princeton Institute spent their summers in the basement, hand-winding cores for the early colossi their parents were building on the floors above them:
https://memex.craphound.com/2012/03/12/george-dysons-history-of-the-computer-turings-cathedral/
You can see my hacker aesthetic photos in my Defcon 31 photo set:
https://www.flickr.com/search/?sort=date-taken-desc&safe_search=1&tags=defcon31&user_id=37996580417%40N01&view_all=1
In this video, Eric Schlaepfer illustrates the painstaking work that went into decomposing these tiny, precise components into their messy, analog subcomponents. It's pure hacker aesthetic, and it's mesmerizing:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byKyJ0b04Lo
But Open Circuits isn't just an aesthetic journey, it's a technical one. After all, Oskay is co-founder of Evil Mad Scientist Labs, one of the defining places where hardware hackers gather to tear down, pick apart, mod, improve and destroy electronics. The accompanying text is a masterclass in the simple machines that combine together to make complex assemblies:
https://www.evilmadscientist.com/
Defcon is a reminder that the world only seems hermetically sealed and legible to authorized parties with clearance to crack open the box. From shopping cart wheels to thermal fuses, that illegibility is only a few millimeters thick. Sand away the glossy outer layer and you will find yourself in a weird land of wax-blobs, rough approximations, expedient choices and endless opportunities for delight and terror, mischief and care.

"Hello Shop Girl-san!" called a voice from the counter above. Fingers rapped on the wood over her head.
Monica emerged, red-eyed from the dust under the bench, with a stack of supplier invoices and receipts of payment in hand. She could feel that the bandana she used to keep her hair covered and in line was lopsided on her head.
She used to get things done on a computer: a sleek little tablet that could fit inside an envelope. There was a point of sale system she connected via a single USB-c cable.
The elemental nations did not have point of sale systems or cute little tablets. They barely had books—the people here loved their scrolls, for some reason.
Her customer was a tall, dark-haired fellow in an orange mask that obscured his face and clashed magnificently with the red clouds on his clothes.
"Hi there," she said brightly.
Monica thought he had serious major character vibes, and hoped that somewhere in this stack of receipts was the one from having paid her shop's insurance. The ninja clause was paper thin, but it was in there.
"Ne, sister, is it really okay to be taking a nap down there during business hours?" her customer wondered. He had an incredibly exaggerated voice and a childish way of speaking. Major-major character vibes.
"Ah, sorry, I didn't hear you come in," she said. The change of light from the dimness under the register to the bright sunlight through the shop windows struck Monica, then. She tried very hard not to sneeze. "I was looking for pape—um, paperwork..."
No, she was losing that battle. She held up one finger "Scu—scuse me..." And then she turned her head away to unleash an almighty sneeze into her arm. "I didn't hear you come in," she said, again. "You ninja are all so quiet."
Ninja were the only people on the planet who would intentionally bypass the bell over her door and then get mad that she didn't magically notice their presence when they actually wanted her. (A lot of things were different when you accidentally switched planets into a cartoon. But customer service was pretty identical... unfortunately.)
The mask, and its rim of dark hair, tilted.
"Is that so...?" He tapped the chin of the mask like he was giving it really serious consideration.
Monica bowed a little. Couldn't hurt. The people here loved their bowing, too, but they were much better at judging how deep and for how long to bow than she was. "What can I help you with, Shinobi-san?"
He thumped his hand into his palm like a little hammer. "I'm looking for your super extra mega special supreme lunch soup!"
"Eh?" Monica blinked. "My what?"
"Your super extra mega special supreme lunch s—"
"Ah, yes, yes, I heard you... But I don't sell anything called that. It's just what you see here, Shinobi-san." She gestured to her display case, which was where she kept the home cooked food.
There were some things in there that were "different," by local standards. Sweets here trended in the direction of fruit or coffee jellies, mochi, things with soft rice flour and red bean pastes or sweet buns. Sometimes they had fancy light cheese cakes, or very occasionally, chocolates. Some of those things were available on the shelves, like the sugar crusted melon bread in its individual plastic wrappers, but Monica had not the first idea how to make them.
She watched the ninja as he made a grand show of bending over and examining the case. Today the dishes she was offering were only two: a savoury meat pie, which was made with a hot water crust pastry, slow cooked beef, root vegetables and mushrooms, and a sweet dessert she made with paper-thin layered pastry, walnuts smashed to a paste, and honey. She'd labelled them "savoury meat pie," and "sweet pastry (contains nuts)" so it wasn't going to take the ninja more than two seconds to recognise that neither was "super extra mega special supreme lunch soup."
He took about a minute, peering at one and whirling to bend over and examine the other, cloak fluttering.
Monica had seen that cloak before, on several people. Some of them gave her major character vibes, but some were utterly unremarkable. That big guy with the pencil moustache? She'd seen him once and he'd looked barely filled in: mid-tone skin, a red nose, colourless grey hair...
That was the other thing about living in an animated world. Most people had bland clothes and indistinct designs, and most of them were pretty uniform. There was none of the natural variation of the real world: everyone was of the same builds, the same hair styles in the same brown hair, the same clothing. Except major characters. Major characters were distinct. They all had something: weird clothes, brightly coloured hair or eyes—or even a silhouette that was totally unique. Something that would stand out on the page or the screen.
Which brought Monica back to this ninja. The cloak was one she'd seen before, but they mask and the fluffy dark hair were both crisp and decided. He stuck out.
In her old life, Monica had never really thought she was missing out when she'd given up on a long anime. But... she wished she'd watched more, now that she lived in it.
"These aren't soup!" he decided eventually. It took some time.
"I know," said Monica patiently. She didn't think she'd ever sold a soup—she made soups out of leftover vegetables and misshapen roots from the garden. They weren't pretty enough to sell to paying customers. She'd occasionally given a beggar or an orphan a cup for free, or any particularly unfortunate looking person who wandered into her store, but she didn't see how this man could have ended up with one of those. Whatever organisation employed ninja in those big cloaks, she doubted they were strapped for cash.
...she didn't have any right now anyway.
"Do you want me to put the pie filling in a cup? That's kind of a stew." A very thick stew.
He turned to look at her very, very intently. Then he stuck his butt out and began wiggling like a happy puppy. For... Some reason. "That would be so kind of you, sister."
She left him exclaiming over shelf-stable mochi while she went into her back room. It was also her kitchen. There was a tiny bedroom above it, so the heat from her cooking rose and kept it tolerably warm all autumn. Monica had lived in worse places. Especially here.
In the kitchen she thinned a serve of pie filling—which had to stew before she could bake it into a case anyway—with extra vegetable broth, stirred it up and decanted it into a broad paper cup.
Whatever Mr Major Character Vibes had come for, he left with his cup of soup, looking extremely pleased with himself—in as much as someone whose entire face was mask could be pleased.
Monica was just relieved that she'd gotten him out of her shop. She went back to trying to find her butcher's receipt for last month, interrupted only by other sales to much more mundane people—two small, gap-toothed children sent on an errand to buy beer and dried fish, an elderly lady who needed bleach, a burly guy who came looking for a pot in which to cook rice and pretended he was so incompetent about cooking that he couldn't figure out which to pick.
She finally found the receipt at about three, which was when a harried grandmother herded five children into her shop and asked for pies and sweets for all of them.
"I like your hair, sister," said the smallest girl when Monica handed her a folded cardboard box full of pie.
"Thanks," said Monica. She raised her hands to her head and realised her hair was escaping her bandana. "Oops. I'd better fix that, huh?"
The girl smiled at her through a mouthful of meat and gravy.
Once she saw the grandmother and her kids out Monica tucked her hair away again. It was a strange irony that, while in her regular life, she'd never even thought to dye her hair from its natural dark brown, now that she too was animated, her hair had turned out to be a mass of thick, dark red curls.
And yeah. Monica knew what that meant.

Late furby update after a rocky period of depression lol
Right. So. I took the effort to attempt to save the battery connectors.
They are completely gone. Replacing them would require some major disassembly and I honestly do not have the energy for that. And I am certain I won't be able to reassemble it.
I wanted to replace the battery pack with a new 6V rechargeable pack. But that would be bulkier and require me to elongate furby. And the packs I saw seemed like a pain to connect really. No energy for that either.
So I think I am gonna opt for simply making him USB powered. I would still be able to use a USB external battery on him.
On the plus side I realised that I was wrong about the cables. The grey cable merely links the 2 battery slots together.
The orange cable (1) goes from battery to the pcb in the blue compartment (this is where the reset button lives). The top black cable (2) goes from the other battery connector to that same PCB. Then 2 cables red and black (3) go into the furby to the motor i guess.
So. My guess is I need to put a cable as close to the original source as possible. I didn't open the blue compartment but I am guessing there is some important stuff on it? If I wanted to connect the USB cable, I would have to connect it to the orange cable (1) and black cable (2).
I think? Does that seem correct?
I also want to give him an off switch while I'm at it but that's the easy part once I confirm where to put the power cable.
Now Furby usually runs in 6V, and my plug/battery have a 5V output so I am pretty sure he won't get fried ? I just hope it won't fry my battery pack ?
If anyone knows better please chime in lol. I am using common sense but i am a bit out of my depths here.

hi magz! I'm curious about the backup posts im seeing and since you added resources about that im asking you so I hope that's okay... as someone who has had the same blog for 13 years and probably has hundreds of thousands of posts, do you think I should get a large external hard-drive for my backup? I just worry I won't currently have space on my laptop for the backup. Btw I super appreciate the resource you posted and I intend to use it to back up my shit! Thank you so much <3
There was someone in DMs that had over 200gb when backup blog of several years - this blog and one that had for 5 years was like ~15gb or something. So it vary a lot.
If are worry:
- Get at least 500gb hard drive or up (can be internal HDD+ external case, or an external backup drive which tend cost more overall), am think. In case.
- Or SD card (memory card) 256gb or 512gb depend on what have available.
Though keep in mind: the size only say much capacity it can when rounded up, it not say how fast.
- Decent hard drive speeds : 7200rpm - otherwise SSD.
- External case or external hard drives decent speeds: with usb 3 or usb c cable/port. (If have computer with usb3 port on it, to be compatible)
If not care for speed, then be prepared wait long while, potentially. Besides internet speed which also affect...
problem with slow speed is that if something mess up connection (usb cable, pc turn off, backup interrupted / something crash) it might cause issues like corrupted files, but not common - most the time can just continue backup where left off without corruption. Just leave it running in whatever safe way that can.
For used HDDs tips:
- check hard drive health (do not use software like recuverit or anything like that)
- format the drive and wipe the contents (even if it appear as if have nothing)
General buy advice:
- try not get scammed with Very Cheap Very Big-Size hard drives / SD cards / USBs in general. Some scams are on ebay, amazon, whatever - where they spoof the hard drive to say it have more memory than actually do or give wrong product. so use fakespot or any other tool or search youtube for "hard drive scams" for telltale signs. A lot of hard drives legit tho.

Fintie Slim Case for my Samsung Galaxy Tab E 9.6 - Full Item Review
Time for another round of bringing today’s review on April 2024. I’m thankful enough after getting through some secret art trade errands later, but for awhile working some art projects in secret like always. For now though, it’s time to focus on bringing this before saving two item reveals later. This here’s my new slim tablet case branded from Fintie. You’ll probably remember back where I’d had the first branded one from last year. This time, it’s for my Samsung Tab E device that may surprise you. Never thought I’d brought back with this older tablet for so long, but mostly few years back where I’d had to turn off due to an unfortunate incident for its USB charging cable. (Link Here)
I don’t wanted to running off its battery life if I’d continued to use it afterwards. Well lucky for me, the wait is finally over as I’m planning to save for my next review soon.
⬆️ (1st to 3rd Images) (March. 27th, 2024 from 5:20 to 5:21 A.M.; two days ago after receiving my slim tablet case from my mom.)
I’d unboxed from its packaging, but sure bring back that time for my first Fintie tablet case unboxing we’d ordered by mistake last year. Let’s just say I learned a lesson not to rush in before ordering the wrong item with my mom. At least now I have with the JETech tablet case(s) for my 5th gen iPad later….twice. 😅
(Link Here #2)
(Link Here #3)
(Link Here #4)
Thankfully after careful consideration through Amazon.com searches, I found the right size for my old Samsung tablet to fit in; hopefully.
Tumblr media
⬆️ (4th to 7th images; from 5:23 to 5:25 A.M.) (Edited)
Continuing on with my first iPad Air tablet case from Fintie, I just wanted to make a quick comparison between with the slim tablet case to give it a better look. Seems that the iPad Air case was bigger than the slim case I’d topped with. Though no surprise for having their different designs that were made for specific tablet sizes. Having said that, at least I’d gotten this shown unless if I can have my own iPad Air to bring; whether or not for this year later.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
⬆️ (8th and 16th Images; from 5:27 to 5:30 A.M.) (Edited)
Just before I can move forward, I wanted to bring my previous tablet case for this review. Unfortunately, this is exactly where I'm about to move on after with my previous tablet case showing its age. if you wanted to refresher your memories, this is my ProCase Galaxy Tab E 9.6 Case I'd had with me since Oct. 21st, 2020. I've talk about it throughout my previous review that trying to secure my android tablet for recent years. It does came with its own stylus pen, but rarely use even after covered up in the first half segment. 🤷
(Link Here #5)
(Link Here #6)
However as of 2024, it's time for my ProCase tablet case for retirement. Despite having to hold on; at least while with my Samsung tablet device temporarily turned off for so long. Though being said, it finally to show its age as I took photos with my 5th gen iPad. There's even some tape I'd tried to patch on the top; from the inside as I opened the case itself. As much it was disappointing to see, but that’s exactly where I’m saving my new tablet case already. At least knowing it’ll be kept safe into my drawers as my choice. Not before I can use it for another comparison later though.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
⬆️ (17th to 22nd Images; from 5:32 to 5:34 A.M.) (Four edits; two separate own images)
Now we’re getting into my new slim tablet case a closer look. It’s gonna be different than what I did with my ProCase tablet case; after years of using. I’d even check around with its slim back shell design to the magnetic clip-on every time of open and closes. It doesn’t have sleep/wake function with my Samsung tablet, but at least does secure to protect its touchscreen I was thinking of. 🤔
Having said that, it was a nice slim case to show. 🙂👍
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
⬆️ (23rd to 28th Images; from 5:35 to 5:37 A.M.) (Four edits; two separate own images)
I went on making another comparison with my ProCase tablet case afterwards. It was pretty obvious both cases had made with different materials and fitting sizes when inserting my android tablet. Though my new slim case well be slightly lighter, but alongside with its hard shell design as I’d mentioned before. Not bad, however it seems my older case was a bit bigger than the slim case in my opinion.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
⬆️ (29th to 37th Images; from 5:40 to 5:44 A.M.) (Four edits; five separate own images)
I’m now finally set up with my android tablet into this new slim case that you’d been waiting for. As expected, it fits neatly as I’d hoped that it was advertised. It also do in angles to make like a keyboard stand for typing; except while my android tablet turned off for now. Looks good still.
My Experience/Overall Thoughts: ⬇️
I’m very good after owning this new slim case that I wanted it for my old android tablet. I’m gonna miss with my previous tablet case that did the job of secure years later. With this new one though, at least its something I can get used to.
Hope you guys like my full review I’d worked on. It took days to get there from the beginning, but at least I’d tried my best of giving thoughts for my new slim case. Of course I’m not done as I’m saving my next review with two items to reveal. For now though, it’s finally break time for me. 🙂👍 Link down for more details with the Fintie Slim Case Tablet if you’re interested. ⬇️

For Solarmirror
You asked what pen I used for drawing on my tablet.
Tumblr media
It's this one, with a separate grip. (I struggle drawing for long periods of time if skinny pens don't have grips).
Sadly, I don't know the brand or where to get get both pen and the grip from, because they were a gift from my sister. But hopefully the picture is clear enough to find them.
The pen itself is pretty good and rechargeable, and even came with 2 spare nibs and a short USB C cable. Usually I'm drawing like 4/5hours at a time (just sketching because im slow) and the pen lasts about 2/3 days before it needs charging again.
I hope this is helpful.

have you thought about a docked laptop setup? i have a lot of my own energy/disability issues and i'm looking into it for when i can upgrade. getting a good laptop that can do most things, but having the ability to dock it to an external gpu and a monitor setup when you want to do work or play big games at your desk is like. one of the better ways to get a split setup that lets you move to bed when you're low energy without much hassle
money's the main thang for sure. i have a solid desktop setup, so i don't really have to worry about performance or anything like that.
portability for digital art is a little tricky for me just 'cause i am very particular about how stuff feels. it's a sensory thing, and when it's off, drawing feels like 7000 pins in my wrist and arm (mentally) lol. so if my brain is in cintiq mode, it's wanting everything sensory about my cintiq - how it feels to push the pen on the screen, how much glide/friction there is, etc. also cursor/hover stuff, which doesn't exist on the ipad i have.
it also does not help that my cintiq is a 13hd, so it uses wacom's lovely (awful) 3-in-1 cable, which is already finicky enough without daisychaining usb/hdmi extenders lol
so usually i'll just swap to my ipad, if the sensory overlords deem it acceptable. anddd that brings up the other nested issue:
my ipad is a 6th gen ipad, the first non-pro one that can use the pencil. it's at the point where i can't have another app open while drawing whether it's clip studio or procreate. it's just old and i've used the hell out of it. it also doesn't support hover, so another sensory problem.
honestly if i could afford it, i'd probably just get the biggest, newest ipad pro. it has hover capability and would be comparable to my cintiq size wise. i could use this w/astropad and be able to hop to and from my desk without issue for the most part. also the novelty of a new toy could help push me through the adjustment period of getting used to going back and forth lol.
i'd be able to use it more dependably for drawing wherever, as well as serving most needs i'd want out of a laptop.
buuuut i am still in a perpetual state of not being able to afford my basics, let alone think about any technological upgrades/changes. sooo i just have to tell my autistic ass to calm down and wait it out, hopefully i can address it before i die!! :D
(ty for the suggestion btw!! i hope you find something that works for you, too!)

Sexiest Podcast Character — Scripted Bracket — Finals
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Propaganda
Captain Isabel Lovelace (Wolf 359):
Her everything <3 But in all seriousness WHAT is more sexy than a haunted, competent, funny, cursed, vengeful, mourning, badass, doomed woman?
listen to the run and hide speech and tell me that isn't the sexiest thing you've ever heard
Hot space lady who could kill me mmm yes please!
(sort of) twice-undead space captain who wired a bomb to her heart to make sure the crew of her ship didn't kill her before her escape shuttle got working. she's funny she's a genius she knows how to use a gun and she cares very much about her crew (despite the whole bomb thing).
#LOVELACE #idk who she’s up agaunst really tbf #but she cares so SO much #she gets boiled down to ’tough scary lady hot’ a lot (which 100% agree) but #she is heartbroken about her failure to keep her crew safe #and stubbornly wants to make sure none of it is in vain #even if it kills her #HOT. even apart from how hot her monologues and threats to hilbert are #also her and eifel laughing and getting along when they first meet her 😭 yall #anyway. lovelace 1000%. the defense rests
Vote Lovelace cuz of the way she says "Hi honey, I'm home" to the bastard who shot her in the head, and then how she proceeds to beat him up <3 Oh. And how she twists his arm and says "good boy". Yeah.
LOVELACE SWEEP LOVELACE SWEEP GO LISTEN TO HER RUN AND HIDE SPEECH AND WEEP THAT GODDARD AERONATICS EVER KILLED HER ENTIRE CREW AND ALSO HER (she recovered) AND MADE HER THEIR ENEMY
#LOVELACE SWEEP. DO NOT FUCKING LET ME DOWN #Lovelace is so much to me #Seen some people in the notes citing the run and hide speech#Which is very good #but my personal favorite Lovelace thing is variations on a theme #The cyclical nature of trauma #The lack of trust #The fear #the sadness #‘You can never go home. You were home. And now you’re back— and you can never go back.’ #Lovelace hearing Hera say something to her and #Thinking ‘what she’s actually saying is that I’m a demon and she would be glad to kill me in a slow and horrifying manner’ #Is so #I don’t agree that Lovelace is doomed either #Like #lovelace did die. But #She got out of that pain and trauma #How do you listen to her say that she is Isabel Lovelace #That she rejects the person that pain made her to be #And say she’s doomed
captain lovelace helped 12yo me realise I like women. She’s so hot. her threatening Hilbert is the sexiest thing I’ve ever heard. isabel lovelace SWEEP
If you don't vote for lovelace you're all lying about supporting womens' wrongs.
Not to be dramatic or anything, but I will never forgive any of you if you let Lovelace lose. She's tragic, she's haunted, she's an alien clone, she's vengeful but trying to be a better person. SHE DIDNT DIE TWICE FOR Y'ALL TO LET HER LOSE THE SEXIEST PODCAST CHARACTER TOURNAMENT. And I'm sorry. The part when (see propaganda above) she is intentionally pissing off Kepler so in the event he kills one of the hostages it's her instead of Eiffel??? Shit talking Kepler AND trying to save Eiffel's life? Serving absolute cunt. Sexiest moment of all time, actually.
Are we all forgetting that her introduction involved keeping a dead man switch for her spaceship (converted into a bomb) wired into her goddamn HEART??? Vote Lovelace or else
VOTE FOR ISABEL LOVELACE, HOTTEST WOMAN ON THIS PLANET (AND OUT OF THIS WORLD 🤘). she is everything to me , always . im head over heels

Problem: My laptop is running out of storage space.
Solution: I got given a 2TB external hard drive a while ago, I might as well use that.
Problem: This hard drives uses a USB C connection. My laptop does not have a USB C port.
Solution: I can use an adapter.
Problem: I now have five (5) USB connections to plug into my laptop's three (3) ports. (This would have been a problem even if the hard drive used USB 3.0 like I expected it to.)
Solution: Get a USB multi-hub.
Problem: I'm sure I've got a USB multi-hub lying around somewhere, but where is it?
Additional problem: the fucken cable management. the cables. they are Already EveryWhere. girl HelP!

Okay, so I've had my watch for about 2 weeks now and would like to give my honest thoughts on it. This was purchased on offer for £329 new (which as of posting is ongoing in Argos, Currys and online at Amazon).
In the box you will have: Watch5 Pro, USB-C to wireless charging pad cable plus leaflets regarding warranties and such. With that out of our way...
Tumblr media
First off, UI of this smartwatch runs smooth as butter in my experience and feels familiar if you've been using Android/Samsung before. Everything is laid out cleanly (including physical buttons which makes it easier to tell what I'm pressing even when under layers of clothing). The build is also made of titanium with a super AMOLED sapphire crystal screen. Also even though I accidentally hit the body on a door prior to getting screen protectors + case, there was no damage whatsoever which was a great sign. It's also quite lightweight despite what's packed inside.
Tumblr media
Now onto battery, charging speeds on this is honestly amazing and most times feels faster than what's estimated! From 100% I'd normally get about 2 or 3 days which is impressive from a smartwatch imo! (for clarity's sake, this is with battery saver on, brightness being super low indoors + making sure apps are closed after use. You may get a different result where I'd recommend tweaking permissions/settings to achieve better battery life).
Also all credit due, these sensors for both under this watch and with digital bezel are pretty accurate mostly! If you do have features like battery saver on though, it will be slightly less but still pretty good.
Tumblr media
Customization...it's through the roof on here with tiles, widgets and many ways to change your watch face. Google Play Store has also added a whole new level with watch face/app support! It can truly be made to your liking. My recommendation for power efficency whilst being feature rich: 'Pixel Minimal Watch Face' by Benoit Letondor. Also being able to change settings on this watch from it's phone companion app Galaxy Wearables is so useful!
Overall, you really can't go wrong with this watch imo. I honestly hope to see more support for official WearOS apps though as many are still missing as of now like messaging services outside of texts. That's it for now and...

i am getting extremely autistic over the fact that our boss is fucking adamant about moving me out of this room for the new guy.
i am the only person who needs the machines and vinyl and everything in here
i do customer service for walk ins and this is the one spot where you can see the front door
the machines are connected via usb to my computer, having the cables go out of the fucking room is stupid
i will have to get up and be back and forth between both rooms ALL DAY
if I'm printing something big, i will have to watch the whole fucking thing and roll up as needed. some prints can take like 30 mins. in here i can just turn around and periodically check it.
this is the only desk where I can fit all my work stuff AND my phone.
easy access to go out back if needed, which is all the time.
there's actually light in here.
"it's only for a few months until we move" if we do actually fucking move, and doesn't change the fact that it will be extremely aggravating the whole time
I'VE BEEN HERE LONGER THAN MOST PEOPLE. THIS IS MY HOUSE
everyone ELSE thinks it's dumb to move me and not come up with a better idea for the new guy.
put the new guy in the other room? if he doesn't want to get up to talk to the other naples designer they can talk on telegram? me and my manager do it all the time?
again, I AM THE ONLY ONE WHO USES EVERYTHING IN HERE. I do the printing, i do the cutting, i deal with the fucking inventory, I organise our job orders to be done in this building, i use the 8ft table to do work on, I keep relevant reference shit organised, i have the fucking controller pc for the plotter and printer
this is my spot. this is my chair. after my old coworker left, i chose this spot for convenience and chair related reasons.
2 monitors won't fit on any other desk. my computer won't even fit on any other desk.
this is my house.
scream.
