January 18, 2024. Sandhill Crane Flyby!!

I live at the VERY edge of a Sandhill Crane migration route, and I saw a flock of at least 40 flying southwest today at 3:52PM! I haven't seen any in a couple years, and this is the biggest group I've spotted. Usually I catch them with their strung-together rattle calls, but these guys were pretty quiet (just a couple brief rattles today, which was thankfully still enough to make me look up through the trees!). Allegedly it was 28ºF today but felt like 21°F--I hope they were staying warm up there. Safe travels, friends!!

#remedy #alan wake 2 #the clip didnt catch all of it but i landed on a giant grey square in the void #i wandered to the edge of it and saw poorly textured 2d pathways like the corridors of the hotel snaking off into the distance #i looked around a bit then tried to walk towards one that was almost beneath me #alan kind of half walked/slowly fell onto it #the game stuttered for a second and then deposited me onto the second floor of the hotel where the ground matched up to the textures i saw #all in all very fucking funny. sorry for banishing you to the shadow realm mr wake
