Omg, the next chapter is named after Mahiru! With Tooru now awake and near Mahiru does that mean he'll finally finish the sentence he started over 50 chapters ago?

Ok, I'm curious mostly because of your Ecco fic. How do you see the Gotham villains as parents?
No one knows much I love discussing this idea except many @gabile18 who is present for most of my ramblings.
Sooo this might have to be a multi part ask?
Starting off strong with the Valeska Twins

🤡 Papa Jerome
So I believe with my whole heart he would try to be good father
Never saw himself as a parent but children and animals naturally gravitate toward him
Wears the name with pride.
Bandit Heeler Vibes
He REFUSES to be like his parents
Will even go straight for his kid(s)
That doesn’t mean they won’t end up with some new shiny toy, or other obviously stolen item of desire
Spoils them Rotten
Constantly talks about them will show photos it’s embarrassing
“Look at my baby 😭😭 aren’t they just amazing” shows albums of photos to hostages
Always present in their life. He’s very involved. (Whether they want it or not)
School drop offs are a must much to other parents and Jim’s dismay (Education is v important to him)
“I never had this chance I got dragged around a circus by my abusive alcoholic mother you’re going .”
school plays, band concerts, sports? FRONT ROW
They are his world god help whoever tries to take that from him

👓 Father Jeremiah (Pre-Spray)
Child? Where 😑🤮
Oh, you mean His Child? 🥹 (Eventually)
He DID NOT EVER want a kid, however it happens and he has to adapt and survive
Bourbon Dad.
He will quite drinking, but he picks up smoking
Baby's an iPad kid
Ecco will primarily care for them as a little little.
Him change a diaper? (No.)
He is very awkward around them.
BUT he gives them any and everything.
Has no parental instinct whatsoever.
His child is a SECRET.
Unlike Jerome who will gladly be public as a dad, Jeremiah keeps them well hidden in the bunker. He has his life to think about

👔 Father Jeremiah (Post Spray)
Oof.
There are so many thoughts here…
His love evolves into possession, an obsession to protect them.
If they had any freedoms before, they’re gone now. The kid is under constant surveillance. Always guarded.
They’re too precious to lose, too precious to be on their own
They’d never understand the complexities of what he’s trying to do for them. So, he HAD to lock them away.
Mother Gothel Mode ACTIVATE
“How is my flower today Hm? I brought you another book to add to your collection.”
ON THE FLIP SIDE
He could care less what happens to them.
It’s like a switch was flipped. He doesn’t feel a thing toward the child.
Regardless on how much they beg and plead that they need him, or love him
Unless, they had some special talent, or skill that he can exploit.
Then, he guesses you can stay, but stay out of his way until he needs you.
Oh, you don’t? You’re worthless to him and his plans, you could be canon fodder for all he cares.

What kind of boyfriend are they? [Persona]
Tumblr media
Characters Included: Akira Kurusu, Akechi Goro, Yosuke Hanamura, Yu Narukami, Minato Arisato & Shinjiro Aragaki
Note: I'm mixing Persona 3, 4 & 5! :3 Except all of them are my fav characters (HUSBANDOS—) ahem. Anyway. I hope ya'll enjoy this :3 (This is over 500+ words... whOOPS--)
Reader’s Gender: Neutral
Warning: Spoilers
Tumblr media
Akira Kurusu
-Akira is the kind of boyfriend that teases the heck out of you. Like he loves to fluster you so much from embarrassment, whether from kissing you in public or simply holding your hands. He'll have that smirk on his face, its always present. (You're wondering if it's permanent though—)
-But I can also see Akira as the guy who loves someone, really loves that one (aside from the fact that he dates multiple girls in the game—). The reason why he teases you is because he loves you, and for that reason, when he finds that you are close to fainting or uncomfortable, he'll stop teasing you. He doesn't want you fainting or uncomfortable around him!
-He's also a natural romantic guy. Like he'll give you flowers and gifts (or trinkets he found). He wants to spoil you so much but he has limited money, so he resorted to small gifts and trinkets that reminded him of you. Your dates consist of staying at the LeBlanc, enjoying the cafe itself or inside the attic (i.e: his room).
-He loves affection so much, but not because he's touch-starved, he simply just loves you so much (yes, I'll say it over and over again :3). If you want cuddles, then cuddles you get. No matter where, but I think he prefers it private since, you know, his reputation? He just doesn't want to affect your reputation because of his ;-; But kisses, on the other hand, he can do it even in public, he has no shame -3- He'll even leave a kiss on you for teasing purposes (and to see your flustered self). He'll just laugh at your reaction, finding every reaction you have is cute on you. (He also has a picture of you as his wallpaper in his phone :) and his friends knows it since he shows it to them.. he's so proud and in-love with you :3)
-But if you don't like or uncomfortable of affection or him touching you, he understands. He'll always ask permission before holding you or kissing you. He respects your privacy and comfort more than his own. If you find uncomfortable, then he'll find a way for it to make it comfortable with you.
-I can see Akira giving his s/o a piggyback-ride, no matter whether you weigh heavily or just right (but if you weigh very lightly, he'll be concerned). He really doesn't mind your weight at all (he likes to say you don't weigh a lot). I can also see him as a domestic guy, he learned how to cook (thanks to Sojiro) and learned to take care of animals (Morgana, lol).
-He's protective of you. If you're in the Phantom Thieves, double-protectiveness over you activated. He just doesn't want you to get hurt ;-; He's scared of losing you in the Metaverse. So if an attack is directed at you, he'll get the hit. If you get hit while he isn't paying attention (probably coming up a strategy), after the battle, he'll immediately patch you up or go to a nearby resting place. And I can also see the rest of the Team also being protective of you :3
-Akira is also observant about you, even if he doesn't look like it. So he knows immediately when you're upset or uncomfortable. In which case, he'll drag you away from the source immediately. Leaving that person dumbfounded.
-If you feel sad about something, the actions of Akira would depend on how severe your sadness or situation is (though they are still similar to one another). Did someone talk bad about you? Don't worry, Akira would hug you and voice out all of the good things about you (and probably imagine how he'll defeat that person's shadow). Did someone close to you recently die? Akira will bring some comfort food to you (or to his place if you went there) and comfort you while eating. Are you upset because of your grades? "Treasure.. have you seen Ryuji's?" but in all seriousness, he'll offer to help you study for the next test. Are you having a existential crisis? He'll also comfort you as he voice out how important you are to him, and that's the reason why he calls you his "treasure". Are you sad because everyone is unique and you're just you? Akira would say how special you are to him and that you don't need to stand out.
-Long story short, he'll comfort you no matter what. :) Can I have a Akira pls? -3- I'm getting jealous over here...
-But if he needs comforting, please comfort him ;-; Sometimes, all of the duties of handling his rehabilitation, school and being the Phantom Thief leader and people in general gets to him. He's still a kid— teenager. And it gets to him sometimes. He's the kind of guy that bottles his emotions up until it cannot anymore hold itself together. So please comfort this boi ;-;
-Overall, he's like a perfect boyfriend :)
Goro Akechi
-Akechi is somewhat-like Akira, yet different at the same time. He's hesitant to pursue or enter a relationship because of his Detective (and other) duties, he fear that he cannot handle a relationship because of that. So the word "surprise" might be an understatement at how Akechi feels as you, his now newly-announced s/o, told him that you just want to love him and lets him do whatever he does. Akechi was actually glad to have someone like you his s/o, someone who understands and love him at the same time. Akechi would be lying if he didn't find you attractive when you first meet.
-Akechi will tease you time from time, enjoying every reaction your making each time, it never fails to put a smile on his face. But he might not be into PDA, since he likes to keep your relationship a secret to the world (media). He tells you so that you won't have to fear about his fanbase. But in reality, he just fears that if Shido knows about you, he would use you against Akechi (which he doesn't like -3-).
-Let's face it, he has you as his wallpaper in his phone. Whenever he feels lonely or just have a moment to himself, he'll just open his phone and stares at his wallpaper. He unconsciously smiles at you in the picture as he continues his day with a smile present on his face. Many people who's near to him noted how happy he was when he looks at his phone for some reason. But Akira manages to find out while he's raising his confidant level for Akechi :)
-Akechi would notice every quirks and twitches you have, since undoubtedly, he has a keen and observant eyes. He would immediately know which ones you like, which ones you don't like, how comfortable you are, how uncomfortable you currently are, and more. But that doesn't make him a stalker >:( He just wants to know which ones you prefer and how comfortable you are. He prioritizes your comfort over his :)
-Akechi always put his mask on around everyone else, but to you? His mask is slowly slipping away. If you play your cards right, he might reveal his true self to you and only you. But he won't tell you about Shido, since he still fears your safety. He tells you partly everything about his childhood, how his life is in the orphanage and all that. Akechi'll mentally prepare himself for you reaction, are you disgusted? Would you leave him now that you know? Those thoughts ran through his head. When (not if because you chose him, how dare you not accepting him >:(.) you accept him though, he'll start to cry.
-Akechi might not be a natural at being romantic, but he tries. I can see him as a gentlemen type though :3, like he'll open doors for you and pulls the chair for you. He'll also give you gifts and trinkets he saw while in his detective duties. I imagine him giving you your favorite flower every meeting (or dates) you two have, like if you're just walking and suddenly come across Akechi, he (for some reason) has your favorite flower at hand and ready to give it to you. Expect your house to be filled with flowers with how often you two meet.
-But its not everyday you two meet, note this. Akechi already warned you about his job since it takes up most of his time, so he's usually not able to meet you as often as he likes to. But he'll call or text you if he has free time, probably asking how you are and lets you rant about what happened during the day. Akechi loves hearing your voice, so he lets you rant as long as you want. If he's given a day-off (so rare ;-;), he'll want to spend it with you. Though he prefers to stay at home, but if you want to go somewhere, he'll concede.
-Your dates consist of going to restaurants, cafe and LeBlanc. This boi loves pancakes, so you better bring him to a restaurant where they serve pancakes X3. But if you can cook pancakes, Akechi would probably want to marry you on the spot :). Whenever you are in LeBlanc though, you would stare at the duo trying out-wit each other, its amusing to you how frustrated Akechi is and smug Akira is.
-But I can see Akechi being touch-starved since he doesn't have anyone while growing up, so he practically clings to you like a koala. But if you're uncomfortable with affectionate touches, he doesn't mind either. Just please hold his hand so that he feels safe (it also settles his mind and heart knowing you're still here by his side ;-;).
-If you're in the Phantom Thieves (oh boy, here we go), Akechi would be scared at the idea of having to kill you and the rest of the team. He knows how much the group of misfits means to you, but he knows he has to do the task he's given. So until that time come, just stay in his arms and let him love you while he still can ;-; (I'm making this depressing..). While still into the subject of comforting, if he starts to cry because of all the stress, please comfort him ;-; Though I can also see him pushing you away, in fear you'll get hurt. Just persist and continue to comfort him :) He'll slowly warm up to you.
-If you need comforting though, he'll get awkward and not know how to comfort you. Don't blame him though (because he never had anyone, remember?). He'll try his best to comfort you, and by that I mean letting you cry as he holds you. He'll make you rant about what you're sad about, and just listens to you. After the crying mess, he'll drag you to the TV to watch a movie. He did this so that whatever the reason behind your crying would be temporarily be gone. But if it involve some school issues, he'll help you there since he knows about that area. But the others? Yeah, haha... no.
-Akechi isn't a perfect boyfriend but he tries :) (Just prepare yourself in breaking up with him when you reach Shido's Palace :(.)
Yosuke Hanamura
-Yosuke is a bit of a tease but not too much, only eliciting a reaction from you. Yosuke is also a bit shy when it comes to the subject of romance, so he might be awkward and shy at times (this is the moments where you have to take the lead). Like that time where he first asked you out on a date, he's so nervous that he stumbles with his words (the rest of his friends were cheering for him from behind). You have to connect the dots if you ever want to understand what he's trying to say, and you better say yes :)
-He's not really into PDA like most people expect (probably because of his somewhat-shyness). But he always likes to hold hands with you. Not many people know you two are together though, only his friends (and parents) since you two act like best friends still. His friends also relentlessly tease the both of you (mainly Yosuke though), much to his dismay.
-Yosuke also wants to spoil you so he spend all of his money getting what you want, so please don't abuse this and pLEASE MAKE HIM STOP! Because Yosuke might end up being more broke than ever ;-; He's too kind...
-Yosuke might take a while to get used to the fact that you two are a couple (since he's still hang-up with Saki's death), but when he does get used to it, prepare yourself. Yosuke loves giving you back-hugs, even more if its a back-hug you didn't expect. He just hugs you from behind and stuff his face into your neck or hair, either way they smell good. Yes, he loves your smell, got a problem? He also loves peppering you with kisses on your neck (not in a sensual way though!), he doesn't know why but he does it. If you're ticklish in that area, it just gives him a reason to do just that (he loves the sound of your laughter).
-He shares his headphones with you and lets you borrow it for the rest of the day if you want. He's also the kind of guy that if you're short, places his head on top of your head and arms around your figure and sway the both of you (I like this idea, it's too adorable >w<). Also the kind of guy that uses his height as an advantage to grab an item you need and hold it above his head while laughing as you try to get it back. This is his kind of teasing :)
-Your date consists of Junes or your place (not his because Teddie is there). Junes is his favorite place so if you want to date there, he'll be ecstatic. You two will sit there while eating the food you bought as you two talk about random things you two can think of. I think this is Yosuke's ideal date though, just relaxing and talking. But if his boredom comes to play, be prepared because he's gonna drag you away from Junes or your house and explore Inaba together. Boredom is what Yosuke fears afterall. If you two are hanging out in your house, be prepared for pillow fights and tickle fights because Yosuke is for sure gonna start it :)
-Yosuke would also might use some pick-up lines on you, some cheesy ones and some random ones. If you use a pick-up line on him as well, you two will have a pick-up contest on which one would have the best pick-up line ever. You two will also have inside jokes that only you two understand. Yosuke also loves you pouncing on him from behind and giving you piggy-back rides, but if its in public, he might get embarrassed.
-Being Yosuke's girlfriend also means being great friends with his, mainly Yu. Yu is Yosuke's partner (I SHIP IT!!) so he wants you to meet his partner. The team would instantly welcome you into their group, and they love you very much :3 Yu also hangs out with you and Yosuke, if you or Yosuke suggest it (he ain't telling being a third-wheeler :/). Teddie would also join in on your date if its at Junes, Yosuke easily getting angry at Teddie for interrupting your date.
-If you're in the Investigation Team, he'll get protective of you, acting like you're knight. He'll be damned if you get hit, so he mostly get the hits directed for you. But if you get hit, he'll sulk and beg forgiveness to you (even though its not either your faults that the Shadow is fast enough). He'll also help you train if you have a hard time with your Persona.
-Yosuke is observant and perspective so he notices your mood, quirks and twitches. He'll immediately notice if you're mood dampen, even if its a little he'll notice. He wants to immediately know what's wrong. If you want to cry, he'll let you cry as he holds you close. If you say "I'm fine", Yosuke would argue that you're clearly aren't. Either way, Yosuke would make sure to make you let it all out.
-If you're sad, he'll comfort you. Whatever the reason is, he'll know it later. The first thing to do is comfort you. He'll not immediately ask you to tell him, he'll let you take your time to explain to him why he found you crying (or sad). Is it about grades? Don't worry, it happens. Yosuke would teach you (he's intelligent, he just doesn't know it yet :3). Is it because of bullying (or someone talking bad about you)? Yosuke would get angry at them as he started to rant why they shouldn't do that and that you shouldn't listen to them. Is it because someone close to you died? Yosuke would remain silent as he just hugs you. Long story short, he'll comfort you in every way..
-Remember me stating Yosuke is observant? Yeah, I'm gonna bring it up again. Yosuke prioritizes your comfort over his, as he finds ways for you to be comfortable if you're uncomfortable. Yosuke always reassure you that he doesn't love Saki anymore, but in truth, he's just reassuring himself. But after Yosuke talked to Yu, he'll confront you about this. Please forgive him and comfort him ;-; he needs it. Afterall, first love is much harder to let go of..
-Overall, Yosuke loves and cherishes you. Please be patient with this man as he tries to move on from the death of his first love :)
Yu Narukami
-Yu is the kind of guy that also teases his s/o by kissing their nose, leaving unexpected kiss on the lips and surprising them by hugging them from behind. He loves every flustered reaction you have (and thinks its cute every time). He'll stop if you want, but if not, he'll continue to tease you with his teasing antics. He's also kind of childish (this is my perspective of Yu, don't judge :3) so while holding hands with you, he'll swing it back-and-forth, while also being careful not to hit anyone.
-People can tell that you two are immediately a couple though (from Yu's antics alone), since Yu is an affectionate partner to have. You know the thing where the person's significant other is sitting on a chair while the other is sitting on the floor and in-between their significant other's legs? Yu is on the floor while you are on the chair. This usually results in Yu putting your legs on his shoulders and carrying you around like that, not putting you down until class start or he has to (much to your dismay and embarrassment), which usually Yu reluctantly let you go.
-His friends would gag at the sight of you (Yosuke), but they're super supportive towards their Captain's relationship with you. But they would ask their Leader to tone down his affection towards you.
-Yu loves to cuddle you and peppering you with kisses all over your face, he has no shame (;-; or :)). He's also the kind of guy that stays faithful with one only, and stays with that person because when he loves, he really loves :3 (again, aside from the games :3). He wants you to know about his love for you, and the only way he knows how is engulfing you with it :) He is mature but he lets loose around you because he's so comfortable with you. He's also a domestic-kind of guy (similar to Akira). If you don't how to cook, don't worry! Yu is here to teach you how, starting how to make Curry.
-Yu lets you borrow his jacket (or hoodie) whenever its cold, and usually blush at the sight of you in his clothing. Its usually big since he's so freakin' tall -_- He'll also help you in your projects and homework, usually having it at either your home or his. Though in his, Nanako would pester you two (not in a bad way though). Oh, and also both Dojima and Nanako immediately accepts you as Yu's s/o. So no worries about there :)
-Your dates consist of either houses or exploring Inaba together. Yu's still new in Inaba so he wants to explore it while he still can. Whether you live there or recently moved there (like him) doesn't matter to him. Since you lived there, do you mind showing him around then? If not, don't worry, let's explore together! In houses though, you two just mostly chill. Talking about random stuff while listening to music or watching TV.
-I can see him as a guy that gives you your favorite flower and tuck it in your head :3 (Don't worry, he already got rid of the thorns in it). This guy lives for cheesiness :3 Oh, I forgot to mention. Teddie would tease you and Yu (though very ineffective) and worship you as well since your dating his sensei.
-If you're in the Investigation Team, he'll be very protective of you but he lets you fight (he trusts you that you won't intentionally get hurt :/). But if a Shadow hurt you, Yu would immediately kill it and tend to you. But when it comes to the lady boss (Adachi), Yu would ask you to not join the fight, in fear you would get hurt. If you persist enough, Yu would reluctantly let you join the battle in one condition, stay by his side.
-Yu is also an observant fellow, seemingly enough to figure out a person's true self, even if that person doesn't. Yu can tell if you're not being yourself or not in the mood, he will ask you instantly what's wrong. If you don't tell, Yu would get worried but doesn't press on. He's worried because (if you're not yet in the Team) you might appear in the Midnight Realm or your Shadow self will appear again. So please tell him what's wrong so that his worry will cease. If you do tell him, he'll listen to you.
-If you're sad, he'll comfort you. He'll do it everytime you feel sad or want to cry. He'll hold you close and either bask in silence or listening to you rant. Your choice :)
-Also, Yu spoils you so much to the point that you have to tell him to stop because he might get broke like Yosuke. But he always reassure you that he has spare money. But please stop this boi from spoiling you too much... OR you spoil him in return (he'll gratefully accept whatever you've given him).
-Overall, Yu is an ideal boyfriend to have (I want a Yu :(.)
Minato Arisato
-Minato likes to tease you a bit to see your (cute) flustered reaction, he enjoys seeing you like that afterall. But he won't do it every time. Which is worse because you have to expect the unexpected. Like when you were writing something in your notebook, the next thing you knew that Minato kiss your cheek. Yes, he's a cheeky bastard :)
-Minato also shares his headphones with you and bask in it. If you have a playlist of your own, he'll listen to it with you. Minato is a private boi, so he does little to no PDA. Prefers all of the affection behind doors, his or your dorm. Though he doesn't mind holding hands with you or giving you a hug, only rarely does he give you a kiss in public.
-Minato isn't as affectionate as the other leaders are (almost all of them are except him ;-;), but he tries his best. Like Yu, he shows his love for you through actions instead of words since talking is a pain for him. He'll cuddle you inside either your dorms and pepper you kisses all over your face. He also has no shame ;).
-He prefers to relax and chill since he doesn't want to waste energy (I'm having Oreki vibes here owo'). So his ideal date is to just chillax in the bed, curled up with one another, and cuddling each other. He likes the feeling of your legs entangle with his though. And this is basically your date! Though he will also take you out to Paulownia Mall or anywhere since he doesn't want you to cope up in the room for too long.
-Minato also likes giving you gifts and small trinkets while he's going around town, stating that they remind him of you. He will also remember everything you said to him, which is handy since he also remembers which ones you want. You probably didn't know this so when its either your birthday or Christmas, you'll be surprised to see the thing you wanted to have.
-Minato loves everything about you, your hair, your eyes, your voice, your laughter, your hands, just basically everything. This is the only time he'll be vocal about it, much to your embarrassment. He'll also give you a piggy-back ride if you want, even in public. He might not look like much, but he's pretty strong for a short guy. (Probably from all the training he has done with Akihiko :).)
-The SEES basically accepts you by this point, since you make their Leader happy, their fine with you. Junpei might flirt with you every now and then. Yukari would talk with you about girl things. Akihiko might also drag you to his training session, in which Minato drags you away from your senpai -w- Basically, they just accept you to their wholesome family. Also, Aigis might thanked you for making their Leader happy.
-If you're in the SEES, Minato would still treat you like any other member. Except for the fact that he's stuck by your side through the journey to reach Tartarus' top. He'll help you train your Persona if you need training.
-Minato is also observant about you (all of these bois are observant -_-), so he will instantly know when something is wrong. But he might not let you know about it, and lets it go along. It isn't until you two are alone in the room when he asks you what's wrong. You don't need to answer him, just let him scoop you up in his arms. He respects your privacy though if you want to left alone, but be aware that you'll find him sleeping outside of your door.
-If you're upset about something, he'll know what's bothering you even if you don't tell him, he just knows. For now, he'll comfort you. After that, he'll deal with the problem. If its about someone talking bad about you, he'll get Mitsuru involve. If its about projects and homework or not understanding the lesson, he'll help and teach you about it. He's a smart boi.
-I can see Minato finding it adorable at what you look like with his clothes, he just finds it so cute. He lets you steal his clothes though. As long as you wear them, it's fine. Though you need to return those or else he has nothing left to wear.
-Overall, Minato is a private affectionate bby :)
Shinjiro Aragaki
-Shinjiro doesn't tease often as the previous bois does, but he does tease. If you have a short stature, he'll get what you were getting and hold it above his head while watching you with a smirk on his face as you tried to get it from him. If he's feeling bold, he might place a kiss on your mouth and chuckle at your surprised, flustered face. Though he doesn't do this often.
-Shinjiro likes ruffling your hair for some reason. He won't admit it but he feels relaxed whenever he feels your hair or ran his fingers through your hair, it just feels so relaxing and calm for him. He also likes pinching you whenever he gets annoyed at you, if you pinch back, you two will have a pinching contest.
-Shinjiro has a hard time opening up to other people, so its a huge achievement if you manage to make him your boyfriend. He'll be flustered by it of course as he looks away while blushing ever-so-slightly. He's a bit of a tsun-tsun. But everyone who knows him (Akihiko and Mitsuru) would take note how Shinjiro's face soften around you, you can almost see a faint smile on his face whenever he looks at you. "He looks like a lovesick puppy." - Mitsuru, 2009
-Shinjiro isn't into PDA, so whenever you want to hold hands with him, he'll get flustered. But he won't refuse as he removes his hand from his pocket and holds your hand with his. He's just embarrassed. He'll drag you places to places, probably explore the town while you two can.
-He's not afraid to speak his mind though, beware. He'll speak without hesitation if you did something bad or do something stupid. If you did do something stupid, he'll snicker while teasingly taunting you. You'll get embarrassed by this of course. But when you two started to eat, you'll laugh at his comments about the food. His snide remarks never fails to make you laugh.
-Shinjiro allows you to take off his beanie and place it on your head, he might need to look away to hide his embarrassment and flustered self. His mind is racing on how cute you look with his beanie, WHY DOES THAT BEANIE LOOK BETTER ON YOU RATHER ON HIM?! He'll never understand that logic ever.
-Be prepared as well for competitions and playful fights, because this guy is competitive like Akihiko. He'll playfully banter with you about the difference between some things. Also, he'll be embarrassed when you find out that he cooks way better than you. If you ask if you can have some, he'll immediately say no. But if you continue to pester him, he'll soon give in. Be prepared to taste Heaven :)
-Shinjiro is insecure to himself because there is so much better guys out there for you, yet you chose him. Someone who'll not live long, someone who'll eventually leave you alone with a shattered heart. His mind will always plague this scenarios over and over again, he'll even be wide-awake at night just thinking about it. When he asks you one day why you chose him, you better reply honestly :) Reassure him that you love him and only him.
-Shinjiro is observant as hell so he knows immediately if you're hiding something or upset. Like MInato, he'll not ask you at once. Though if this behavior carries on for days, be prepared for Shinjiro's interrogation :) He just wants to help you, so please come to him if you have a problem with anything
-(I just realized I made SEES bois with sad s/o. Please read how Shinjiro comforts you whenever you're sad there. x.)
-I can see him telling you to find another one to love when he dies. Move on, but don't forget about Shinjiro. Continue living even if he's not there, he'll remain in your heart forever.. (Okay.. I teared up in this one ;-;).
-Overall, please be with this boi until the very end..

P5 fic: Celestial Beauty Guardian
This has been a WIP for a long while and I figured it was as good as it was gonna get so I finally finished it.
So have some super self-indulgent fluff of Akira and Haru watching Not-Sailor Moon.
Title: Celestial Beauty Guardian
Ship: Akira Kurusu x Haru Okumura
---------
Akira looked over the cover of the DVD box as Haru was setting everything up. At the center was a girl standing in a dramatic (and kind of familiar) pose. The clothes she wore reminded Akira a bit of Haru as Noir. Behind her was a man with slicked back hair wearing a black and red suit. A devilish smirk on his face.
On the top was the title, Celestial Beauty Guardian.
When Haru invited him to watch something with her at her home, Akira was more than happy to accept. All she said about what they were watching was that it was something very nostalgic for her and that it was going to be a little silly and cheesy.
But after everything the group went through in the past few weeks, Akira figured he needed "silly and cheesy."
"All set!"
Haru stood up and joined Akira on the couch, "Thank you for coming over. I... I really wanted to share this with you."
Akira smiled, "This was one of your inspirations wasn't it?"
"Huh?"
"Back when you first joined the team, you mentioned being inspired by female heroes. That you were trying to be a heroine of justice."
Haru let out a small laugh, "Well... there were other heroes I loved. But Celestial Beauty Guardian is something special for me... so I suppose you could say she was my biggest inspiration."
Without another word, Akira picked up the remote from the coffee table.
"Shall we get started then?"
~~~~
Haru was not kidding about the silliness and cheesiness. This was obviously a show made over a decade ago and meant for a younger audience. But Haru was enjoying it and Akira was having fun too. Although he couldn't resist making a few jokes here and there, earning some (not entirely serious) glares from his girlfriend.
"I... I am... I am a fighter for all that is good in this world! I am the Celestial Beauty Guardian!"
As the young woman on the screen struck the same pose from the DVD cover, it finally occurred to Akira where he had seen it before.
"Heh, you're weren't kidding about her being your biggest inspiration... Beauty Thief."
Haru blushed slightly at recalling her and Akira's first meeting in the Metaverse. He chuckled as he pulled her closer.
The two continued watching as Beauty Guardian faced off against the monster.
Eventually the monster gained the upper hand and threw the heroine into a wall.
"N-No, I can't... I can't lose."
The monster laughed and raised their clawed hand but was struck by a bolt of magic.
"WHO!?"
"What crude manners. This simply isn't gentlemanly."
Before the heroine was a man in a red and black suit. He took her hand in his and lifted her up.
"Are you alright ma chérie?"
"Who are you?"
A charming smirk graces his face as he takes her hand to his lips and kisses it.
"You may call me, Kamenshinshi."
~~~~
After a few episodes, Akira couldn't help but notice just how excited Haru got whenever Kamenshinshi appeared on screen. Even when it just a scene of him reminiscing about "his Empress," Haru seemed to be a lot more attentive.
It was during one such scene when Akira decided to ask.
"I guess Kamenshinshi is your favorite character huh?"
Haru's attention snapped to her boyfriend.
"W-what gave you that idea?"
"You're practically on the edge of your seat every time he shows up."
"He's... not my absolute favorite... but I do love the character..."
She blushes a little before continuing "...And to be honest, I... kind of had a crush on him when I first watched the show."
Akira let out a loud laugh and Haru gave him a playful shove.
"Don't laugh!"
"I'm sorry, I just thought it was cute. If it makes you feel better, I had a crush on Feather Cockatoo as a kid. Now you know my deepest darkest secret."
Haru giggled and said with a wink, "I'll be sure to remember that."
~~~~
"But why!? Why do you act like we're on opposite sides!? Why can't we fight together!?"
"I do not consider you an enemy, ma chérie. You are in fact a valuable ally. But I cannot be distracted from my mission. I have waited far too long for my Empress' return."
"But Beauty Guardian is the Empress."
"They don't know that yet." Haru said in response
"But it was obviously her silhouette in the flashback."
"It's supposed to be a twist."
"A very obvious one and it's frustrating. And I think he knows who she really is considering he keeps calling her "ma chérie" even though he's supposed to be in love with the Empress!"
"Akira-kun, I think you're taking this a little too seriously."
Akira was about to say something in response but instead sighed.
"Yeah you're right."
He can't believe that he got so worked up over a decade old show for middle schoolers.
Haru simply smiles, "Look at it this way, it just means you're getting into it."
~~~~
The twist was finally revealed several episodes later, with Beauty Guardian discovering her true identity as she holds a dying Kamenshinshi in her arms.
"Y-you're as beautiful as the day I first saw you, ma chérie... my-my Empress."
He raised a gloved hand to wipe away his love's tears.
"Please no! We finally found each other! I can't lose you again, my noble knight!"
Akira heard sniffling next to him and turned to see Haru on the verge of tears.
"Haru are you alright?" he asked with concern
"Y-yeah. You know, I've seen this scene a dozen times over the years and it still gets to me."
He watches as Haru tries to wipe away her tears and then a idea comes to him. Akira puts on his most charming smile as he places his hand on Haru's chin and turns her to look at him.
"Do not cry, ma chérie. I'm right here by your side."
"A-Akira-kun?"
The smile becomes a smirk, "Akira? Have you forgotten me already my Empress?"
It then occurs Haru what is happening and she smiles back as she pulls her boyfriend closer.
"Of course not. I'd never forget you, my noble knight."
The two giggle as they collapse onto the couch and kiss while the show continues to play in the background.

Sister Complex
Summary:
If Aoi is to be described as having a brother complex than perhaps Akira is to be described as someone who has a sister complex.
He was very protective of his sister, perhaps to the point of absurdity, but that doesn't keep him from distrusting the presence of Yusaku Fujiki and four others in Aoi's life. But mostly Yusaku.
Relationships: Hireshipping (AkiraxEma), Angelmakershipping (AoixYusaku)

If Aoi is to be described as having a brother complex than perhaps Akira is to be described as someone who has a sister complex.
He is not, by all means, a very attached person. Having no parents and no relatives to shelter him has generally led him to become very isolated. He’s made acquaintances, sure, and partnerships, definitely, but friends or family...not really. He may or may not let his guard down around a certain pink-haired girl but if he has any loving obligation it is towards his sister and his sister alone.
Akira is well-aware of Aoi’s clinginess, of the way she idolizes him and generally worships the ground he walks on like they are a god’s own. There is mutual understanding in their relationship: he is the one who stands strong, who fights against every storm there is because rain or shine she is the only one who provides his sense of being, his very reason for living. They are one and the same and while Akira is isolated Aoi is desperate to keep a hold on him. Akira is desperate to keep a hold on her. Without their parents, without adults in their lives to tell them how to merely exist in this torrential downpour of a world, they’ve become reliant on each other. He feeds off her love, off her affection for him and the adoration that comes with her brother complex and she feeds off his protectiveness, of the way he hugs her when things go wrong and how he frets endlessly over her ability to cope in school. He worries himself constantly over her state of being, over her mindset of work over friendships, of the same development that has caused him to avoid the world entirely. He’s tried to push her towards talking to others, towards gaining friendships and partners with which she could talk to when he was not present. But, no matter how hard he tried, he could never get her to add to the nonexistent list of friends that plagued her life.
Of course, her adding Yusaku Fujiki to that supposedly imaginary list of friends was something that he, hypocritically, could not approve of.
Akira was first made aware of the boy when, on chance, he had caught him talking to Aoi on a trip back home. Akira had opened the door to his house and, much to all of their surprises, had met face-to-face with Yusaku. There’d been a variety of actions he’d wished he’d done at the moment. Namely, hitting Yusaku over the head with the briefcase in hand out of shocked provocation. However, Aoi had been quicker than him, reading the situation well enough to reassure him that Yusaku was a classmate, a fellow peer, and that he had merely come over to review a project with her. Yusaku, though maybe a little startled, came to a quick agreement, skirting around Akira before he left. Aoi, on the other hand, scolded her brother for having nearly committed violence against the boy.
It was at that moment that Akira realized Aoi must have cared enough about Yusaku to have defended him so vehemently. Aoi, much like himself (and much to his concerned disappointment), separated herself from the rest of the world. She was, in both his eyes and perhaps her own, a goddess better left untouched. She shunned human contact, aloof and forever distant from anyone who did not (and would quite never) fit her standards. But perhaps ironically, she also seemed to crave affection. Aoi seemed to long for the touch of someone else, for the physical contact that would result from one human being to another. She proved this time and time again whenever he came home, always eager to hug him or receive a “well-done” pat on the head from her brother when she achieved something worthy. Still, aside from him and him alone, she refused to interact with others. Her alternate persona, Blue Angel, of course, did interact more with the public than her true self did. But, while Blue Angel was much beloved she was still very much friendless. Blue Angel was just as distant a person as Aoi was, isolated and alone, the only exception being that she was well known and much more adored by the strangers of the world than her real world self was.
So, as a result, it came to much a surprise when Aoi nearly bristled at his initial reaction towards Yusaku. Akira knew he had misinterpreted the situation - he’d thought Yusaku was an intruder who’d been, in some way or another, assaulting his sister and making a getaway (an exaggeration, he knows) - but her response towards him had been totally and completely unwarranted.
She’d been fiercely protective of Yusaku, frightfully angry at him for having potentially endangered the boy. When and where this hostility had developed from was unknown to him (the downsides of only coming home once in a blue moon) but this sudden interest that Aoi had developed in the student worried him. He understood he was a classmate of hers, yes, and, while visiting Aoi to help on a project was extremely unconcerning, what was worrisome was the way her eyes had lit up under his name, the way she’d said it with such fierce admiration that Akira might have mistaken his own name instead if she’d not also said it with a slight edge of uncertainty. He knew Blue Angel had teamed up with Playmaker some time ago (and while he did not approve of his sister in such a hacker’s presence, they were a team and not an item like he’d first feared) but, while he could understand her respect for Playmaker, he could not say the same of some random boy who’d looked more delinquent than student.
Regardless, he lets it drop. It’s not worth the effort and he is fully aware of how much his opinion means to Aoi. If she wants to adore this student than fine, she can. He won’t stop her, won’t think anything less of her.
However, that does not mean the same of him.
Yusaku Fujiki. An orphan (an orphan, he thinks, how coincidental), a minor living under the care of a hotdog seller. He had relatively high grades that contrasted starkly with his teacher’s constant complaints of him sleeping in class. There wasn’t much else to go on. He was normal, as far as Akira could tell. Nothing special, no credentials or reason to captivate his sister so. He wouldn’t be lying if he said he worried over Aoi’s sudden development for the boy but he supposed Yusaku couldn’t do any harm towards her.
He wonders over that hypothesis every time he comes back home. He knows his chances of returning home are slim (he’s spent many endless nights pouring over computers, talking to chess pieces and napping on a company couch any chance he can get) but everytime he comes back his sister has collected yet another addition to their house.
At first and perhaps most obvious, it’s Yusaku. From there, it’s Go Onizuka - the same Go he’d tried to recruit months back. Next, it’s a boy who carries himself with regality and who glares upon Yusaku like he’s the bane of the earth. A boy known as Revolver. Then, it’s three others, each congregating until there are six children and six children only crowded into the space of his house. Each member greets him with cheerful and yet somehow hostile faces, tiptoeing around him when he’s present and chattering away when he’s not. It’s aggravating, honestly, and if it wasn’t for his sister laughing and smiling he’d drag her away from the presence of such unpredictable people.
It doesn’t take him long after to connect them all to Blue Angel’s little party. Each of the six, though well-disguised in the VR world (barring one Go Onizuka, of course), carry the same personalities that they showed in his house. He connected each of the other four to their counterparts and, the one that stood out to him the most (and that, in all honesty, made the most sense) was that Yusaku Fujiki, the very same boy his sister was protective of, was Playmaker.
The name makes his skin crawl. He had not approved of Playmaker beforehand. He only tolerated him in Blue Angel’s (his sister’s) presence due to her apparent happiness, but the fact that he was involved with her in the real world as well as the VRAINS world made him suspicious. For what motives would a famous hacker involve himself with Charisma Duelists, terrorists, and god-knows-what-else-the-other-two-were? He was definitely skeptical that such a wanted man would willingly involve himself in a friendship party, to gather together a team with which he would control and do mysterious deeds with. In fact, if anything, he had always seemed like a loner, a solo one-man operative who expressed no need to play any part in a group (much to the hypocrisy of his name). The fact that Playmaker and his sister had congregated such a flock of kids raised many questions that he wanted answered.
He’d made inquiries of it to his sister, curious and prodding as to why she would bother with five other kids near her age when she hadn’t ever wanted to make friends before. Aoi is clever though, evading his questions and drawing his attention away with cutesy faces and playing his adoration for her in her favor. He’s never doubted her ability to manipulate and he wonders how, every time he leaves his house, he’s left with questions unanswered and a swelling pride in the girl he knows as his sister.
Ema, of course, does not help the issue. When asked into investigations regarding Playmaker and his motives she flipflops between helping him and deflecting him. He doesn’t know what Playmaker has done to earn the rogue’s lips zippered-up but it aggravates him nonetheless. Nothing he does can convince her to explain about Playmaker’s motives. He’s tried every option but not even the wads of money he secretes secretly from his salary are enough to convince her
“Why are you so interested in him?” Ema makes the inquiry after refusing to take yet another one of his payments. She leans on her humming motorcycle, curious but thoughtful. “He’s not doing any harm to your company anymore, is he?”
He frowns at her attempts for prodding. “I am merely concerned for my sister’s sake.”
“Oh? Blue Angel?” Ema smiles with a hint of bitterness. “My, I’m envious.”
He raises an eyebrow. “You shouldn’t be.”
“No, perhaps not.” Her fingers slide over the place where her heart would beat and then moves them across her lips. “But I am. Your love for your sister is very touching. One might think you’d do anything for her, you workaholic.”
“Of course I would,” he replies sharply. “She’s the only one I have left who cares about me.”
Ema gives him a look of surprise and laughs at that. “Careful with that tunnel-vision of yours,” she says, “or else it will bite you in the back one day.”
He’s left stunned as she drives off, more questions than answers and perhaps even more than that. Akira will never understand why Ema chooses to do what she does, why she is who she is. He sighs, exasperated at her tedious, secretive behavior, and drives off. She slows down for a brief moment beside his taxi, waves at him slyly, and then takes off.
Yeah, no, he’ll never understand her.
~~~~
Months pass and while the exploits of Playmaker, Blue Angel, Go, Revolver and the like makes its way on the news time and time again, he finds himself with less and less questions. With the saving of the Cyverse and the war against their enemies ceased, peace has come to everyone at last.
But, with that peace comes uncomfortable moments. Namely, the appearance of Yusaku Fujiki time and time again in Akira’s house. And, while Aoi’s group’s normal meeting spot had changed location (he suspected it had something to do with the hotdog stand that traveled to and fro in the city), Yusaku was perhaps the only continual visitor to their house. Akira, always irritated by his mere presence, has to keep from bristling whenever he sees the boy with his sister. He’s grateful for Yusaku keeping Aoi happy when Akira himself cannot but, now that the danger hanging over Aoi’s head was over, his continuous presence had proved to be an continuous nuisance.
However, as much as he wants to shoo the boy off, he cannot. Aoi, though aloof in nature and perhaps the most antisocial of them both, seems to adore Yusaku. It’s honestly weird to explain but Akira can tell by the fierce admiration in her eyes and the respectable way she refers to him that Yusaku means as much to her as her own brother does. It rubs Akira the wrong way, honestly, because he wants to be the only spot light in Aoi’s eyes. However, jealousy is not befitting of him and he lets it slide as much as he can. Her behavior towards him speaks of lovesickness, of blushing cheeks and rather scandalous situations in which two hands meet in a bag of popcorn and they’re left hesitant at such a casual touch. She is easy to read and, while she may be able to hide it from Yusaku well enough, she cannot hide her loving affection from Akira.
Of course, Yusaku Fujiki is another story. The boy is near emotionless, his only facial expressions a smile, a surprised look, or one of boredom. His constant presence around Aoi does not seem to change these expressions much (at least only when Akira is present. However, Akira is perceptive enough to realize how much his gaze wanders to Aoi or how his lips tug in the slightest of smiles when Aoi shares her revelations with him). He’s smart and clever and, on occasion, seems to know the best ways to cool Akira’s annoyance towards him with well-presented words that speak firmly of logic and conclusive data. It almost surprises Akira that such a well-groomed individual was once one of his most loathed enemies and it surprises him much more that such a standoffish individual would easily allow Aoi into his presence.
It comes to an even bigger surprise when Yusaku Fujiki asks to take his sister’s hand.
It starts out a normal day - Saturday, he’s off work and for once in his life the chess pieces want nothing from him. However, what seems like a nice day to take his sister to some place fun ends up with him somehow standing in front of a hotdog stand. Aoi had insisted the morning before that he was to come with her, that he was to come to his enemy’s layer and see for himself where the reputable Playmaker spent his days.
“Hey, you’re Akira Zaizen, right?
A man greets Akira and his sister at the entrance of the hotdog truck, wiping grease from his hands as he jogs up to him. A boy not too much younger than him follows, eyeing Akira warily. He tucks himself shyly behind the man watching as Aoi gives him a wave. The boy returns it hesitantly, uncertain as to how to interact with her. Yusaku follows behind him moments afterwards, a smile on his lips as he greets both Zaizen siblings.
“Hello, Akira,” he says, polite and respectable. Ignis, who garners a human-like form while in the real world, trails behind him. The mysterious lifeform gives Akira a disgusted look and tucks himself back into the truck before Akira can say a word.
“Hello,” he gives a nod of his head to all three of them.
Aoi strays from his side to Yusaku’s, prodding the boy forward. Her hands meet his back and she pushes the boy closer to Akira, grimacing as he gives her a spiteful glare.
“Come on, ask him,” she hisses, barely loud enough for Akira to hear.
“I know, don’t shove,” he hisses back. Again, Akira can still hear them. Yusaku straightens himself out as he’s pushed forward. Aoi hovers behind him, eyes gleaming at her brother with anticipation.
“Sir,” Yusaku begins, polite and respectable and yet raising his hand to reveal three fingers. A common trait among the ‘six birds’, he assumes, glancing to Aoi and remembering her doing a slightly similar gesture from out of his memories. “If I may, can I list three reasons as to why I should-”
“-Get my blessing?” Akira interrupts and Yusaku looks mildly offended. He smirks at the younger boy and watches as Aoi snickers.
“Yes,” the boy seems ruffled and uneasy, his sudden pitch gone lopsided. However, he regains himself quickly and says: “I love her.”
Aoi beams and looks from Yusaku to her brother. Her gaze is pleading, almost seeking for his approval. She was desperate to see him agree to such an impactful request.
Akira sweeps his gaze over Yusaku. The boy stands firm but stiff, eyes wary and cautious and rather concerned for the state of his well-being. Aoi sidles beside him, fingers intertwining with his and Akira wonders when she had grown so comfortable in someone else’s presence. They’re waiting, praying, looking, even the strange man and boy have joined in with the silent standoff, gazes flitting between the three with bated breath.
Finally, Akira lets out a sigh. “Fine. Yusaku Fujiki, you have my blessing. Take care of her.”
Yusaku smiles, shoulders slumping. He squeezes Aoi’s hands and she giggles in response.
“See?” she says to him, grinning. “Nothing to worry about. He’s not that bad.”
Yusaku makes an uncomfortable face as if he’s recalling all the times Akira has tried to have his persona arrested. However, such a grimace fades quickly and he drags Aoi into the hotdog station. The man and boy follow soon after with Ignis poking his head out to glare at Akira with seething venom.
It seems the A.I. still hasn’t forgiven him for his antics.
Akira watches as his sister pulls a hotdog off a grill, setting it into a bun, and then hears the hum of a motorcycle sidling up beside him. Akira’s not at all surprised to see Ema pull off her helmet and give him a triumphant grin.
“You protected him, didn’t you?” he accuses, gaze flitting between hers and the people stationed in the hotdog wagon. “That’s why you refused to give me information.”
“Yes and no,” she dawdles, her voice a subtle purr. “I figured you’d try to pull them apart if I revealed to you his interest in her. You’re too protective of her. And, it would break Yusaku’s little heart if he lost his cutesy wittle girl so early in their relationship. Naturally, as I have a couple of debts to pay him for, I figured I might as well repay one of them by keeping his adoration for her a secret.”
“And, yet, you seem too kind to do such a thing willingly,” he remarks drily.
“Do I?” she fishes out a wad of money and flicks her fingers through it. He recognizes the SOL Tech clip that holds it in place, wondering on how long she’s held onto it. “Or do I have other motives that would explain my behavior?”
“Knowing you, anything goes.”
“That’s true,” she leans on the handlebars of her motorcycle, gaze whimsical. Her eyes flick to the hotdog wagon standing before them. “Hey, would you like some hotdogs right now?”
He raises an eyebrow at her and Ema shrugs. She jumps off her motorcycle, killing the power. She moves forward and, when she sees he isn’t following, beckons him alongside her. Akira obliges, wary and actually quite concerned when it comes to someone as unpredictable as her.
Aoi greets him at the stand, already adorning an apron with the strange man at her side. The man talks to her, tongs in hand, and then disappears into the depths of the truck. His sister’s gaze flicks between him and Ema with the slyest of smiles.
He’s not sure he likes what she’s implying.
“Two hotdogs,” Ema says, taking initiative. Her eyes observe Aoi with a fond smile, recognition evident. “Ah, your Akira’s sister? Blue Angel, are you not?”
Aoi’s eyes widen and she looks at the people in the streets with fearful caution. Thankfully, no one appears to have heard. Aoi gives Ema a rather shy but nervous nod of confirmation.
“Ema, that’s rather impolite of you,” Yusaku’s voice greets her with a cold familiarity.
The pink-haired girl gives Yusaku a wink as he appears from the side of the truck and he recoils in disgust.
“My, Yusaku, calling out a customer as impolite is rather rude yourself.”
“And yet revealing someone’s secret identity is not?”
“She can always deny it.”
“Doesn’t mean they won’t stop pestering her if they think it’s true.”
“Come on Yusaku, lighten up for once.”
“Only if you shut your mouth first.”
Aoi merely sighs at the both of them and turns to her brother.
“Two hotdogs, right? Need any soda, nachos, anything for you and Ema?” Akira frowns at the way she stresses the last part.
“Two sodas too,” he relents and Aoi hums something as she hurries away. When she returns, she holds two paper plates and two soda cans which she sets before him. Two hot dogs are placed on the plates and, by then, Ema and Yusaku have finished their little spat.
“Ooh, root beer, my favorite,” Ema picks up a can and a plate before Akira can protest and then places them on a nearby table with her motorcycle in tow. Akira follows her lead, nodding to his sister before retreating to the place of choice.
“I didn’t know you ate.”
“I’m not a machine,” she huffs. “Of course I eat.”
He takes a sip from his root beer. “And, yet, the only thing you ever seem to do is spy on people and ride that motorcycle of yours.”
“Mm, yes, part of the job,” she takes a bit and then chews thoughtfully. Her head turns towards the truck and then back to Akira. “I must say I’m surprised. You gave your blessing to them so easily?”
He raises an eyebrow. “Of course.”
“I’d have thought you’d put up more of a fight.”
“I thought about it,” he admits. “But I won’t raise a finger against it if she’s willing to go through with this. If she’s happy then I guess I’m happy too.”
“Such a good brother you are. No wonder why she idolizes you.”
“Mm.”
Silence.
Ema inhales a hotdog like a black hole inhales stars. She is a fast eater, chewing away at her meal at a pace almost too unrealistic for him to keep up. He wonders what kind of psychology goes behind such fast-paced mannerisms. Did her job keep her from eating on a regular schedule? Is the expectancy of danger, of competition, so high that she had to eat so fast? Or, is it that she’s always busy and whenever she gets a meal it is consumed so that she can quickly ride off forever and always into the sunset?
Akira eats in silent observation, eyes occasionally wandering to the hotdog stand. Aoi mentions something to Yusaku and the boy laughs. Ignis, who pops his head in-between them, jeers something and the two both go an uncanny shade of red. His attention span wavers, so fixated on the both of them that he almost misses Ema standing up.
“Thanks for the meal,” she says, smiling coyly as she abandons her paper plate, soda, and some napkins to his whim. “I trust you can pay your sister on the way out.”
He watches as she boards her motorcycle and doesn’t expect anything less of her when she drives off without offering any form of repayment. He sighs, gathers her trash and then notices a peculiar smudge of black left behind on a napkin. He glances closer, observing, and finds that what he’d assumed to be stain marks of ink were actually tiny letters inscribed carefully into the fibers of the cloth.
Thanks for the date, Akira darling.
He raises an eyebrow at that.
“Since when was this a date?”
p5 rarepair dumpster diving: director’s cut edition
last night on discord i spent two full hours of my life typing up a canon-compliant akechi/ryuji timeline and frankly that kind of effort isn’t something i want to waste by keeping the fruits of my labor private. so! here it is. welcome to my special hell: a hilariously obscure and hilariously baseless ship that i seem to be invested in purely to clown my own damn self.
this is an extremely long post and there are a lot of spoilers contained herein, so be wary of both those things. events that happened in actual canon are bolded, and everything else is just me elaborating.
- first off, the initial meeting at the tv station, where akechi introduces himself, and then slips up by talking about pancakes. this is the first time ryuji's met akechi, though not the first time he's heard about him, and he can tell that something is off about akechi's behavior from the get-go, but can't tell what, because he's kind of extremely distracted and not thinking right. this boy is pretty. he's pretty and ryuji doesn't like it. is he wearing mascara or are his eyelashes really that dark? why is he thinking about that? true to form, he goes for aggressive behavior to cover for internal confusion. hating akechi for making him face his own repressed masc attraction is very easy.
- the class returns to the tv station for a second day, where they see akechi give an interview live. ryuji is not friendly during this. after the interview, akechi runs into akira alone in the hallways. ryuji is a good friend, so he goes looking for akira. akechi and akira are done talking by then, and ryuji crosses paths with the wrong dude. akechi appears nonetheless. ryuji isn't friendly, but even when he's being actively hostile the poor guy wears his heart on his sleeve and akechi might not be a true ace detective but he is a little more observant than the average person. not that you would need that to be able to tell from how ryuji's talking about the friend he's looking for that the guy is crushing hard on glasses mcgee. akechi assures ryuji that he won't let that friend of his in on his secret, and, not knowing what he's talking about, ryuji assumes that akechi's noticed him staring. he denies that explicitly, which tells akechi that ryuji's got something for akechi himself on top of a crush on akira. noted. akechi swears up and down that he believes ryuji and they part ways. ryuji goes back and meets up with akira again. still does not know what feels off about akechi.
- akechi starts visiting leblanc semiregularly about midway through things. usually it's akira that runs into him, but ryuji swings by now and then too - looking for akira, of course, but somehow he always ends up at leblanc after akira's already headed out to do something else. so it's just him and. that dude. he ignores akechi for the most part, but just him being present in the area is enough to remind ryuji that yeah, actually, he really is attracted to this guy. ryuji's behavior experiences a sharp uptick in forced heteromasculinity as ryuji starts to doubt himself and attempts to affirm his identity as a straight dude to fix things. this fixes nothing. akechi is still frustratingly attractive.
- eventually ryuji decides to confront akechi. he doesn't come to leblanc that often without an invite from akira, but he's getting sick of akechi always hanging around the place. he catches akechi walking back from leblanc to the station, and asks him what business he's got always hanging around here. akechi says plainly that he's just after a good cup of coffee in a charming atmosphere. ryuji asks if akechi is trying to piss him off. akechi assures ryuji that he's not, really; he knows they haven't talked much but he really doesn't have anything against ryuji and if this is about ryuji's little crush, he promises he doesn't mind. ryuji tells him to shut the hell up, but that's a lot less effective when he's beet red. poor kid. akechi promises that he'll stop coming by the coffee shop so much once work picks back up, and ryuji tells him that he better damn well do that. akechi laughs, like a fake bitch. he tells ryuji that he doesn't know why ryuji tries so hard to seem like a thug; he's really such a nice person to be around under that act - maybe once ryuji accepts that they have no reason to be enemies, they can get to know each other. he knows a great place that serves brunch around the clock. ryuji ends the conversation as fast as humanly possible because he's throughly rattled - which is exactly what akechi was hoping for, obviously - and needs to get away from this man and his beautiful eyelashes. they split. ryuji does not sleep that night.
- at some point, ryuji realizes just why it was that akechi's behavior bothered him the first time they met, and comes to understand that akechi is able to hear morgana's voice. akechi mentioning a place serving brunch and leading him to daydream about a brunch date with lots of fluffy pancakes might have been what triggered his memory, but look, ends justify the means, right?? it's fine to think about dating another guy if it's for a just cause like figuring out important stuff. trouble is, he doesn't know what to do with this information. he considers telling the others, but ends up keeping quiet. after all, maybe akechi's got issues of his own. but also fuck his issues, because he's terrible and ryuji hates him and would never do anything out of consideration for fucking akechi's feelings, except that is exactly what he is doing.
- while ryuji is stewing in a bog of internalized homophobia and unresolved crushes on boys, shujin academy's student festival is rolling around. makoto appoints ryuji to the planning committee along with the rest of the phantom thieves to give them an excuse for all meeting together. as part of their committee duties, they tally the student votes for the special guest, and decide that akechi will be this year's guest, if they can convince him. makoto texts akechi to ask him to attend. they wait. when she doesn't get a response for a while, she asks if they should consider having a plan b ready to go in case akechi doesn't show. by this point ryuji's been keeping his realization that akechi is a metaverse user under his hat for a while now, and for some reason hearing makoto talk about this brings that to the forefront of his mind again. he tells the gang that there's something they should know, if they're really gonna invite akechi - he intends for this revelation to dissuade makoto from pursuing akechi as the festival's guest, but it only makes her more determined. akechi agrees to attend the festival shortly after. ryuji does not like where this is going.
- during the festival, akechi calls the mystery gang out on being the phantom thieves, reveals himself as a metaverse user, and pretends to have never heard morgana's voice before, which is bullshit. he strikes a deal with them, and becomes a temporary member of crimesquad. thanks to their conversation earlier, however, the crew already knows that he's lying to them, and takes countermeasures immediately. one of these countermeasures includes a war room style meeting to decide how to deal with this situation, in which makoto tells everyone that if anyone knows anything, anything at all about what akechi knows or things they could use against them, they need to have all cards on the table right now. ryuji keeps quiet. akira notices. they're pretty close by this point (rank 10 confidant, hello), and they've recently had a few pretty serious heart to hearts - nothing romantic between them yet, but ryuji's trusted akira enough to open up about his sexuality crisis a little, which is part of why ryuji's instances of forced heteromasculinty have decreased in frequency in recent weeks.) ryuji receives a text message when he checks his phone, it's akira telling him to 'tell them about that conversation you had with akechi outside leblanc. everything about it. they won't think any less of you, i promise. all of us are your friends.' deep breaths, ryuji.
- after a little psyching up, ryuji says that he's got some info. he reveals both his major encounters with akechi since their first meeting at the tv station, and explains that akechi knows... something about him. his phone buzzes. he does not have to look at it to know it's akira telling him that he can do this. makoto asks if ryuji is worried that akechi will try to use that 'something' against him. ryuji says that akechi's definitely gonna use it, if akechi's really a bad guy, at least - he clarifies that what akechi knows is the truth of ryuji's crush on him. yusuke suddenly sits up much straighter, in the way of a gay guy who has just realized for the first time that he isn't the only queer person in his friend group. ann seems like she's about to say something, but gets interrupted by makoto telling ryuji that they can use this. ryuji wants to die a little!!
- with that incredibly stressful meeting over with, the process of infiltrating sae's palace begins shortly after akechi strikes his bargain with the phantom thieves. before the heist even begins, however, the thieves have already made a couple important plans of own: firstly, they've plotted to bug akechi's phone, a scheme that gets carried off without a hitch on the day that the heist begins. secondly, they've decided ahead of time to wait until the last possible day to send the calling card, not knowing that akechi will suggest this anyway. they need time to prepare for what they're about to pull off,  and they've guessed that akechi will go along with this because he needs time to arrange his own plans as well.
- futaba works fast. that little hack of hers isn't just recording akechi's conversations, it's rooting through all his calls and texts for information on what he's planning, and boy oh boy there is a lot to unpack. by the time they head home early after the first day's infiltration, she's already got more than enough for them to work with. another war room gets called. by now they know what akechi plans to do and roughly how he plans to do it, so it's time to prepare a defense against him. problem is, it'll be difficult to get away from him to investigate and prepare things when they're inside the palace - unless akechi suggests that they split up himself. they know that akechi wants joker dead, but hasn't talked about any specific plans for the rest of them, so they decide to take a pretty big gamble.
- the thieves do not infiltrate the palace again the next day, and therefore, neither do akechi or ryuji. instead, ryuji once again catches akechi outside leblanc - this time in the early afternoon, while akechi's on his way there. he tells akechi that since they have no reason to be enemies anymore, maybe it's time akechi made good on that promise about going to brunch together. akechi agrees. breakfast at tiffany's, but it's brunch at some upscale diner. during the course of this dinner date, ryuji does some complaining. he tells akechi about how he doesn't feel like a real member of the phantom thieves, how everyone else thinks he's just a stupid thug, how sometimes he just wants to quit this whole thing, and how he's glad that there's finally someone here who doesn't think he's an idiot. akechi, who thinks ryuji is an idiot, assumes that ryuji isn't smart enough to have an ulterior motive and takes him at face value. he tells ryuji that he's sorry ryuji feels that way, and that he's just glad that ryuji's trusting him a little more ("especially after some of the things you said at first! haha :-)"). ryuji tells akechi that he's not so bad after all, and hey, maybe he could take akechi with him if he really does split off from the phantom thieves. akechi says he'll think about it. he is coming to understand that ryuji 1) is kind of very handsome 2) has a nice voice 3) is probably dumb enough to be useful, which is obviously the most important part and that's why it's listed last. as most important things are.
- during the next infiltration, the gang comes across a frustrating scheme to force minors into gambling. accumulating coins in sae's casino is difficult work, and everyone's itching to hurry on with things. akechi chooses this moment to both assist the team in proceeding forward, and to get ryuji on his own. he asks ryuji to help him with something, and the two of them go off on their own - leaving the rest of the team free to investigate. futaba has already briefed ryuji on exactly how long they need to keep akechi busy. all he's gotta do is listen to akechi talk. coin collecting goes fast, of course, since they've already hacked most of the machines. ryuji's almost worried that he won't be able to keep akechi busy long enough. luckily, akechi chooses that moment to ask ryuji if they can talk. sure, ryuji says, there's nothin' suspicious about two dudes sneaking off on their own to 'talk.'
- akechi asks ryuji if he truly is unhappy with the phantom thieves, and if so, why does he stay? after all, the police will close in sooner or later - does he really want to serve life in prison for a group of people he doesn't even seem welcomed by? ryuji's a little uncomfortable acknowledging something he mostly tries to ignore - that yeah, actually, the way his supposed friends treat him sucks, but he's ready for this conversation. he tells akechi that he doesn't know. maybe it's because he wouldn't have anyone there for him if he left. akechi asks him what he'd do if they ever did get caught. would he go down with these so-called friends, or cooperate with the police. ryuji asks akechi what he's getting at. akechi drops a small fraction of his act and tells ryuji that the police are much, much closer to making arrests than the phantom thieves think - meaning that ryuji is that much closer to that reckoning. but, he says, this detective thing isn't meaningless. akechi tells ryuji that if ryuji would be willing to testify to the identity of all the other phantom thieves - giving the prosecution bulletproof evidence for conviction - then he could pull some strings to get ryuji immunity. maybe. okay, ryuji says, but what then? ain't i just going back to square one? starting over again all on my own? good point, but: don't be silly, akechi assures him. i'd be there, wouldn't i? i wouldn't abandon you after you've been such a great help to me.
- ryuji doesn't have the best internal clock, but he thinks it's been probably twenty minutes since they split up - though he's worrying about that way less than he should. there's a lot of emotions happening right now, and he deserves a fucking oscar for keeping them in check. akechi wants akira dead - akira, the one person ryuji cares most about - and he'll get his wish if this plan doesn't work. for that, ryuji hates him - well, for that and other things. but the way they're talking right now, akechi seems so... nice. kinda sad, somehow. and he's still aggravatingly pretty, and that doesn't change no matter how much he pisses ryuji off. ryuji asks akechi what he means. akechi asks ryuji what ryuji thinks he means. ryuji asks if they can go to that brunch place again sometime, because if he answers that question he'll end up verbally punching akechi in his snake-ass mouth. anyway, like a date, right? that, akechi agrees to. it's weird, but the way he's talking, he seems like he's happy to have someone to talk to. ryuji seriously doesn't get this guy. he's also torn between feeling a single gay emotion and wanting to throttle akechi on the spot, so all things considered it's lucky that akechi notices the time. they head back to rejoin the party, and we all know how the rest of the heist goes.
- cut to the part where akira escapes death by akechi. the plan laid out by the phantom thieves successfully leaves akechi convinced that he's killed akira for good, as most deaths are in fact permanent. akechi enjoys the attention of the media too much to bother with contacting ryuji for help in rounding up the remaining members, which ryuji considers to be for the best. akechi's main goal of killing akira has been 'accomplished', after all, so he's no longer prioritizing this mission. eventually, he declares on tv that he will certainly catch the  remaining phantom thieves, though he's no longer as pressured to do so quickly since the head is already cut off. at this point, he calls ryuji. they agree to meet up again, but not to discuss a testimony yet - just a celebration for the leader's arrest. it's time to do brunch. all the prep time in the world could get ryuji ready to listen to akechi talk about akira's supposed death as though it's a good thing. the more he listens to akechi talk, the more he doesn't fucking understand this guy. he's seriously close to physical violence here, for real, but suddenly akechi's talking about how securing these arrests will finally earn his father's approval, and suddenly. a part of ryuji's anger deflates. he doesn't like to think about it, but he remembers how it feels to try to please a father who considers you worth less than the dirt on his shoes.
- akechi cuts brunch short after letting that slip. ryuji goes home with a lot to think about. they've made plans to talk again in a week or two at the courthouse to get statements from ryuji on the identities of the other phantom thieves - akechi is hoping to time the complete defeat of the remaining members to occur just after his father is elected prime minister, knowing that the public will take such instataneous good results as proof of the new prime minister's righteousness. this second meeting never occurs, because the phantom thieves break into shido's palace before that happens. akechi is waiting for them. akechi is not happy. it's not just that he's stressed to hell and quickly becoming unhinged and just absolutely furious that joker evaded him - joker's the main reason his mental state gets so bad so fast, but part of it is the fact that ryuji is there, still with the thieves, and akechi feels like a fucking idiot for falling for anything ryuji said. the fact that he couldn't see through that act serves to reinforce his fears about not being even half of what he presents himself as (what kind of ace detective can't see past such an obvious lie???), and ryuji's betrayal is just another reminder that no one, no one he's ever met has actually wanted him around. ryuji would rather side with friends who tear him down constantly than with someone who was trying to be in his corner.
- shit goes south. a fight happens. a second akechi shows up. for the first time since they met, ryuji's comments towards akechi aren't hostile - the opposite, in fact. he jumps to defend akechi when the puppet akechi tries to say some fuck shit, and seems to actually. worry about him, kinda. because even with all this shit happening, he's remembering what akechi told him about his father, and now he's got context for that. it's. hard for him to hate akechi knowing now what kind of a father akechi grew up with, and yeah, maybe he is taking this a little personal because of his own issues with his father, but he has come around to care about this guy. he still hates that, obviously, because having sympathy for someone who tried to kill akira feels positively foul. not like he can do anything about it, though. especially after akechi dies.
- ryuji gets left with a lot of messy feelings and unanswered questions, but the main thing he keep wondering is this: would akechi still be dead if he'd stuck by him? is it his fault that this happened? akechi didn't have anyone there for him, he knows that, so as the one person who could have been, isn't he responsible for his betrayal? the phantom thieves might have done the right thing, but on a personal level, he doesn't feel like he did. no one is happy here. akira buys ryuji a burger after the heist is over but that like, barely helps.
Hope you enjoyed the Friday FluffFest!!! I mean, tell me this is not the sweetest most cavity inducing thing, and I loved every moment of it!
This artist is truly one of my favorites and always finds a way to warm me with these stories! Everyone was so pure and perfect! I can still clearly see Tim and Bruce’s smiles when Clark took their pictures!
It was great seeing all of them in a family setting like this, and Clark even got to be a part of it. This is what I as a Superbat and Batfam fan wishes they could have all the time instead their usual pain and suffering. Thank you so much Didi for this wonderful heartwarming piece!
So let's talk about how Bruce is trying to keep his relationship a secret from everyone including Alfred. Like really Bruce, who are you kidding, and of course Alfred's comment about Clark only coming over "to shower," was the best. Hah,a best butler ever!
I also suspect that Clark knew Jason was there the whole time, and that's why when he heard Alfred's wish to have everyone in one picture he suggested they go outside to take pics. I can even imagine him posing them all perfectly so he could get Jason in the shot.
Speaking of which, I love that Jason went and tried to hide but got busted by Dick (who is he kidding too!). All in all, this is now being added to my favorite doujins collection, and I hope it was able to cheer someone up out on the wide web as much as it did for me <3
L, Y, H, E, A, R, T, K. I. for shizuka, aria, and kokoro.
late festivities. ll accepting.
L   :   LOVE.   who does your muse love?
Shizuka has a lot of love for their son, their sister, and the few fellow outsiders they allow into their inner circle. She would do anything for Akira and Rieko especially. They also adore their cat Aniki, known as Buta before their son started talking and decided on what the overgrown beast was to be called. Deep down, in some secretive part of themself, they do feel love for their former patron, though they do not know how to define it.
Aria has love for her community and people above all, but her big heart has so much room in it. She loves her true companions, loves the outsider, the downtrodden, those who she can champion. Beyond that, she has not exactly received steady romantic love – Tamlen, Sten, Anders, hers is a sorry little string of affections unrequited, never acted upon, or broken up by reasons beyond their control.
Kokoro is far more reserved by contrast. She loves her daughter, of course, more than anything. Blood means nothing when it comes to her relationship with Mads. Then we get to debates about verse – in her secondary verse, she has a complicated love for her father and his oldest students, stunted by her adolescent problems that made her put up walls. She loves your Xemnas, of course, without hesitation, though she demands a fair bit of him.
Y   :   YOURS.   does your muse get protective easily?
Shizuka is fiercely protective of what they consider hers. You can see this even in their introduction, how readily they went to bat for the owner of the club they worked. Now, they’re most readily compromised morally by the need to defend those they are close to, which is dangerous when you recognize the kind of people they keep company with.
Aria has always been the protective sort, defending her childhood friends from consequences or danger. This has endured throughout her life, to the point that even the sight of a clearly non-threatening Isolde saw Aria put herself between the hysterical woman and Alistair. When Anders fled Amaranthine, Aria did all in her power to stall or mislead the Templars that hunted him. She is the kind that protects others even if it puts her in some danger.
Kokoro has lost a lot in her time traveling worlds. She will defend first and ask questions later where her loved ones are concerned. Especially in romantic relationships, she tends to put herself in the line of fire to spare whoever has her heart. I think this is best seen in the Kokoro/Terra verse where, after all is said and done, she tries to take on his responsibilities to protect him from a brewing breakdown that is sure to be exacerbated by the task her father handed down to him as a parting shot. If she can keep even one person she loves from some pain, she will take it as her own without complaint.
H   :   HEART.   is your muse quick or slow to give their heart away?
All of them are demisexual, Shizuka to the point of questioning if they might be aromantic prior to getting a handle on their untrusting nature. Shizuka doesn’t trust others with their whole, so they keep their heart locked tight in their chest. Aria has had her heart broken one too many a time – by Tamlen, by unreturned affection, by Anders – to let it wander away from her again. And Kokoro is still carrying the weight of a childhood spent emotionally distant from others, and struggles with the idea of letting herself love another wholly.
E   :   EMBRACE.   does your muse like hugs? what are their hugs like?
Shizuka is not the touchy feely type. Their hugs are fine, but unless Akira needs some stim pressure or their kid sister is in town, they tend to try and get it over with as quickly as possible. That said, if you hug them first then their touch starved ass will tense and then melt with relief.
Aria likes hugs! Provided someone is allowed to touch her, she will give them the biggest, strongest bear hugs. What good is all her training as an archer if she cannot use her massive arm muscles to dispense the finest of embraces? It would be a sin to allow the gifts the gods granted her to atrophy!
Kokoro is not much of a hugger. She has the Blue Blood standard of just offering a clasped shoulder or a ruffle of hair. When someone needs real comfort or a hug, however, she tends to put maximum effort into it, to the point it can be hard to tell who is clinging to who.
A   :   AFFECTION.   how does your muse show affection?
Answered here!
R   :   ROMANCE.   is your muse a romantic or a cynic?
Shizuka is an absolute cynic. All they’ve ever seen of romantic love is settling, boredom, or an absolute shitshow. Sadly, past relationships have set them firmly in the camp that anything they get into will fall into the latter category, and they refuse to settle or live a classical life that they spent so long running from. They want someone to understand them, but even when they find that they spend all their time nitpicking and being sure that it’s only skin deep.
Aria is not much of a romantic in more of the classical sense, but in a relationship she proves to be quite the amorous partner. She wants the world to be better, for people to be better to each other, and that starts with her. This is the kind of person that love stories will be written about after they are gone, for all they do for the person who captures their heart.  Ask me about that Arianders thread I had just before the Chantrypalooza, our realistic Hero is a true blue romantic at heart.
Kokoro is... somewhere between the poles. She has no time for romance throughout canon events, too busy keeping to a goal she was forced to sideline for the last ten years due to lack of leads. That does not stop, in some verses, romance finding her. In our Xemnas/Kokoro verse especially, it hits both of them like a freight train. But even then, we see Kokoro prioritize Xemnas becoming better, gaining freedom, over possessing him as a lover, and she always pursues her own goals without sacrificing anything to him. She’s romantic when there is a good place and time for it. Otherwise, she knows her priorities.
T   :   TRUE LOVE.   does your muse believe in true love?
Shizuka mocks the very notion. Not even to be cruel or because they’re a cynic, but because they know what goes into maintaining a relationship. Love is a lot of work, and understanding, and it’s not always pretty. But it’s something you commit to, and something you face together. There’s no real falling to them -- you make a choice every day to continue with it, even when it doesn’t feel like a choice at all.
Aria likes the notion, probably commits to some idea of finding soulmates, but is not holding her breath on it being a reality. There’s so many people in the world, and you can only meet so many. Maybe some can find true love, but others will find a variety of love besides. So long as it’s healthy, so long as it leaves you better than it found you, then whatever love you choose is good, never mind if it’s ‘true love.’
Kokoro really wants it to be true in her heart of hearts, for something to just click and make it easy, but that dumbs down a very complex issue. Love is a lot more than just meeting someone and riding off into the sunset and having the best days of your life, she knows that even with her usual lack of romantic history. True love might not exist, but the right person does, and they’ll help make this world a little more stable for being in it, just as she might make their world a little better.
K   :   KISS.   is your muse a good kisser? why / why not?
Shizuka has decades of experience. They’ve got the practice on lockdown, and can gauge fairly well what any given partner wants out of the experience. It’s all part of their plays at intimacy, knowledge, or whatever else they can get out of a person. As for a genuine kiss, well, they’re still pretty skilled, but perhaps a bit hesitant.
Aria is an earnest kisser. Maybe not one for finesse or natural talent, but when they kiss someone they mean it, and they make it something special. Whether a first kiss or a thousandth, their object of their affection will never have to question where they stand with her so long as they’re eagerly trading kisses. It’s actually kind of sweet.
Kokoro has kissed one boy, in her teens, on a dare. Kokoro has no actual experience beyond this adolescent experience, and while the boy proved positively frazzled by the act, that might owe more to his partner’s beauty and standing than actual skill. She’s probably pretty bad at it until she gets some practice in, which might be endearing to some.
I    :   I LOVE YOU.   does your muse find ‘i love you’ easy or hard to say?
Shizuka better be dying before they say it to anyone they are not directly related to. Rieko and Akira hear it constantly -- Akira especially -- but everyone else holding their breath to hear it is going to suffocate long before Shizuka even thinks of saying such a thing. They’re more likely to say it through ride or die actions than openly, verbally admit it.
Aria used to be open about the sentiment, sharing it freely, but her losses have made her a bit more reserved. After Tamlen’s loss, I think it became a bit harder for her to form the words, and then depending on the verse, her history with Anders really blunted her tongue. In a time of great emotion or stakes, however, I think she could remember the shape of the words and offer them again.
Kokoro doesn’t have a lot of people to love, but those who got through her walls and into her heart will never have to doubt where they stand with her. Once she loves someone, she will say it, as many times as they need to hear it. This is what makes her a good mom friend to her companions and an even better romantic interest to those who want to devote themselves to her socially awkward ass.
