Hacer poesía debería ser como llenar la leñera. Medio que a tontas y a locas, y medio que calculando el breve espacio disponible. Sugiero escuchar en el proceso algo rudo y leñoso, a medias entre lo húmedo y lo seco, astringente en las manos. Yo opté esa mañana por el Justice for all de Metallica. El agreste guitarreo que parte tan frenético con Blackened marca el inicio del trabajo. Así, rápido, casi inconciente, casi automático. La necesaria pausa la pone One. Luego, hay un periodo de inconsistencia y letargo hasta que Harvester of sorrow te monta en un ritmo continuo y estable para trabajar y llenar, recoger lanzar y llenar, llenar la leñera. Terminando To live is to die, ya deberías estar concluyendo la tarea, es tiempo de observar, recuperar la calma, registrar la crónica poética, quizá rezar. Fueron algo como doscientas astillas y, ¿saben qué? Me sorprende saberme soportando este peso, y el planeta ahí, bien gracias, ok no tanto; flotando pese a todo, como si nada. Pienso – y con esto cierro la puerta – que quisiera llenar así el mundo, con este esfuerzo, con este sudor, esta dedicación: así tan frenético, tan rudo y cuidadoso al tiempo. Pero para qué tan ambicioso. La leñera se me hace un mínimo aceptable, dentro de todos mis cabales y posibilidades. #OnThisDay September 7, 1988 @metallica released their fourth studio album #AndJusticeForAll which charted at #4 on the @officialcharts and #6 on the @billboardcharts and is certified 6x platinum. The album contains the single #One. This would be the debut of Jason Newsted on original material. Despite the loss of original bassist Cliff Burton and having to break in a new one, the band made bigger strides with their own headlining tour of arenas which was preceded by a support slot on the #MonstersOfRock tour with @vanhalen @scorpions @dokken_official and @kingdomcomeband. Also this release marked their first promo video for “One”.
