talked to my mom the other day about music.
i, an ignorant gen z, was telling her that owning vinyl is just so inconvenient. you can’t take it with you on a walk or on the bus. a bit easier with CDs and cassettes, but problems still occur. the phone is where it’s at. with streaming, you easily can listen to any song you want and at any time you want. and then she said that’s true but when i stream music, i don’t ever own anything. damn. why have i never thought of that before. if i end my subscription to spotify, i don’t own any of the music i listen to. at least with buying a 99 cent song on itunes i can listen to it forever, even without wifi. and i own it ~forever~. a very beautiful thing.
something to think about i guess. 💿🖤🤎

theo's cd collection: pretty odd (panic! at the disco)
today's cd that im showcasing is panic! at the disco's second (and best) album, "pretty odd". p!atd was the band that first even got me into the "emo" genre, and they were my favourite band for a solid chunk of my teenage years. however now i have a deep, violent hatred for brandon urinal that shouldn't need explaining (racist and nonce), but ryan ross i will love until the day i die. obviously ryan's lyricism is what made panic such a great band in the first place, and dallon kept it going with his style of writing, but once braxton uranium basically started a solo career with the band's name it all went downhill artistically (in my opinion). so honestly, the only bad thing about this album is it's association with modern day p!atd, and brayden utility. because this album itself is truly beautiful, and dare i say my favourite album of all time. it is unfathomable to think ryan ross writes with the same 26 letters we do, but can create such magical and emotional lyrics. along with a whimsical musical style, this album transports me every time i listen to it. i have a deep and profound love for pretty odd, and am BEGGING ryan ross to do a (ryan's version) of the album where he re-records with just his vocals so that i may enjoy this this album without having to be reminded of brenda urinate's existence.
music: 11/10
cover art: 10/10
cd design: 7/10
fav track: northern downpour

CD Collection !!
Thought it’s about time I post my CD collection on here! I have 82 CDs in total, and most of them are pictured, except for the ones that I don’t have a place for and don’t really listen to :]
This is where most of my CDs are, and it sits on my bottom shelf. On the left hand side is mostly Decaydance label artists, and albums from each band are organised by chronological order. On the right are the other ones I have that I don’t listen to much but every now and again.
This stand fits on my table and has all my MCR CDs and my most listened to ones. The blank cases in the MCR section are for things such as the life on the murder scene and black parade is dead CD.
This is where I store my other CDs, and these ones in the box and the holder are all mixtapes I made. My Discman is also in frame, and is the first CD related thing I bought.
These are some ones I burned from artists that don’t sell CDs/don’t anymore [I also bought the top two on band camp so I was still supporting the artists] with the art drawn by me (can you tell lol)
These are my two CD boomboxes. The hello kitty one I ordered from America and the speakers light up. However the voltage is American so it needs a lot of batteries, which is why I use it less. The black Philips I got recently and is my main listening device. I also have a Dora the explorer one not with me, it looks cool but the speakers are not great quality
Thank you for reading! I have a big passion for physical music and CDs so I was excited to share my collection :3!!!
