women's sports is one of the loudest and most successful anti-patriarchy campaigns in human history. what women's sports did and does is prove, over and over again, the excellence, the raw power and strength of the human woman. it completely disrupts ideas on gender.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
you have big, powerful women in rugby. fast, endurable women runners. impeccably strong gymnasts. women with strong, large bodies that take up space. that are HEALTHY. they are not RESTRICTED or ladylike. they are free of the stillness/deadness that femininity demands. no corsets. no (aesthetic) thinness. no hourglass bodies for gawking. women's sports screams to society "we are fully human, not objects, not small men. we are not domestic dolls. we are hunters and foragers. fighters."
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
why do you think men are so vitriolic about it? why don't they want women in football? why don't they want it televized? why do they keep harassing female basketball players? why do they insist on dressing women in sexualized uniforms? why do they now make it taboo to exculde men from women's sports?
i firmly believe it's because women's sports tears patriarchal gender ideology apart so effortlessly. it completely spits in the face of patriarchal political propaganda and shows how null it is. it forces all of us to view women as full, as the beginning of human excellence, as central to human history. not as decorative sexual objects, no matter how men want us to be.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
that's why there's so much aggression and derision when it comes to women's sports from men. because women's sports destroys the idea of femininity and depicts women as non-derivative. women must be monsters and cannot afford to play into the childlikeness that femininity demands. the arena of sports forces us to focus on women's physical performance rather than appearance. their strength rather than how attractive they are. their skill and strategy. their humanity. it is a form of entertainment where all female roles are agentive and active rather than passive.
Tumblr media
women's sports events are also hotbeds for female and lgb solidarity like you have no idea!
y'all need to start watching women's sports. not only because it is exciting, but it deprograms the patriarchal bullshit out of you so fast. you realize how much is possible. how much we can all achieve right now.

I don’t think women need to have intimate knowledge of what actually makes someone a specific sex and intersex conditions to be able to have an opinion on gender issues, actually. Women shouldn’t need to have a rehearsed response to “what includes all females and no males?” To have an opinion on how men mistreat her and wanting a safe space. Going “well, a vagina of course!” In response to being asked the criteria for “female” and then going “XX chromosomes” and “being able to produce eggs” when faced with exceptions is not hypocrisy and it’s not backsliding. I’m tired of the bad faith arguments in relation to this.

Women, don’t be soft.
In a world where men are the most dangerous risk to women, and said men want women who are styled in the patriarchy’s costume, feminists must reject this costume!
We must refuse to be soft. Refuse to be shy. Refuse to be quiet, over accommodating, cute, seductive, small. It’s only logical: don’t be what men want women to be. Don’t give them the satisfaction or opportunity. Don’t let men win. You must be tough, independent, loud, ugly, mean. Command your space.

I peaked after my friend's little sister became a TIF at the age of 12. She is so smart, so talented, funny, an avid reader, so brave, and also going through some hard times.
The first time I was around her after she identified as a TIF, I legitimately could not get the "he/him" pronouns out of my mouth. I seriously tried. The cognitive dissonance between the amazing girl in front of me and the identity she was trying to adopt just did not compute.
She reminded me of myself when I was young-- when all the adults around me would call me a "gifted kid" but dismiss my mental health struggles.
She wears the exact same clothes I did as a young teen who was uncomfortable with puberty when it kicked in, but now she says those same clothes make her a boy. Jeans, baggy shirts, tennis shoes, a sweater or jacket no matter the temperature.
She cut her hair short, literally just like I did at her age, but now it's a boy's cut.
She's fallen into an online community that endlessly affirms her and acts like her friends, something she struggles to find at school.
She makes "egg" jokes and shares posts about "cracking eggs," a chronically online term that implies any gender non-conforming traits somehow signal imminent trans status.
I legitimately could not see her in front of me and force myself to believe she was truly a boy. I could not, and it sent me down a research spiral that led me to JKR's fabulous essay-- and from there, feminist books, discourse, and online communities.
Did anything in particular cause you to peak? Would you be comfortable sharing? Curious to hear more personal stories.

I hate seeing a brilliant, clearly creative woman with an amazing fashion sense, who is unique and quirky. And then swiping onto her profile and bang. It's they/them or they/he or it/he/they. Like holy fuck. It's so many, more often than when I swipe over and she has no pronouns, or if she does she has the she/her ones. But no it's not just gender roles and expectations repackaged in a new, shiny, woke box! Not at all!!!!!!

"separatism/anti-natalism is so unrealistic. it won't fix the problem." okay and marrying men worked? bearing their children worked? educating them worked? transing your gender worked? did the patriarchy stop when you wore eyeliner "sharp enough to kill a man"? did it stop when you got a mastectomy? did it come to a screeching halt when you said "sex work is work" and "not all men"? bffr

Saying “some people socially and medically transition and are seen as a woman or a man by those around them and should be treated as men or women” is one thing but this website is on a whole other level.  Everyone has a gender identity that we have no way to verify, exists solely in one’s head, but we must respect it, put it into law, and affirm it higher than the sex one is born as.  They use the word gender constantly and are essentially speaking a different language.  There are a million gender identities but yet none.  The confusion is the point, but anyone who is confused and calls it nonsense is a bigot.  Because they are so deeply into their religion, they see it an obvious.  But in reality, it is constructed inside their head.  I once identified as genderfluid, nonbinary and used neopronouns lol when I say it’s a religion I mean it.  Someone can have a sincere belief in something unprovable without being delusional- it’s called religion.  And the concept of a gender identity, especially one more important than sex, is one.  The concept, like any religion, is hard to define, constantly changing and at war with other people who believe in it.  No one can pinpoint how many rules there are or if there should be any in the first place.  Wearing different clothes than your sex is supposed to and messing around with the concept of what it means to be an ideal ‘man’ or ‘woman’ is perfect and always been a part of gay culture.  That’s not what this is.  The people on this website are playing pretend.  They think they’re messing with and rebelling against society like the gays of the 20th century but they’re not.  They’re playing a game- a game constructed in their own head, a game that posits someone’s internal sense of self is more important than psychical reality.  There sense of self is hinged on this, like most religious people.  Telling them “your god/gender identity” does not exist is taken to mean YOU don’t exist.  They, like any religion person, take people’s confusion and disagreement as an attack- they see themselves as the counter culture.  They think this is rebelling against the establishment, to use neopronouns, to say a lesbian is a ‘queer attraction to women’ or any other nonsensical meaning, to say you are catgender, to say you are a man or a woman.  They’re not doing anything to dispel the patriarchy or heterosexual domination.  They are playing a game.  They think the fact it’s a game means it’s revolutionary- it’s not.  They are prisoners arguing over what color to paint their wall.  I mean it when I say it plays so well with not doing anything to the powers that be that it might as well be a CIA plot.  It’s done nothing to actually change society, long or short term.  The only thing it has done is make us unable to describe ourselves, make communication clogged up and complicated, essentially meaningless and exhausting.  It’s enabled predators to say ‘lesbians can like men too!’ It’s confused and overwhelmed people into not talking about heteropartriachy because now there are a million new terms we have to think about, a million new ways we could say something wrong.  And instead of discoursing about anything meaningful, we are discoursing whether men can be lesbians or whether ‘autisticgender’ is ableist.  Our conversations are meaningless.  Because our words are meaningless.  When lesbian means nothing, when women means nothing, when gay means nothing, but yet we are still here… you have done nothing to help anyone.  You have only made conversation harder and done the work of our oppressor.  And sure a lot of this only exists online.  But this nebulous ‘gender identity’ is taken as fact, this concept of lesbian meaning ‘non men loving non men’ is put into serious conversations.
Yet, they have the audacity to say radical feminists are doing the work of the patriarchy when that is what they are doing.  Who benefits when ‘men’ and ‘women’ are now reduced to a feeling in ones head, or some undefined social role or concept?  Who benefits when now, lesbian and gay men means basically nothing?  Who benefits when women is now something you can opt in or out of?  Who benefits from conversations about gender being a joke? Who benefits from this?  You think men aren’t benefiting?  You think it’s straight people who are being hurt when we struggle to define ‘lesbian’?  You think you’re fighting the system?  You’re doing its work.

UNC Chapel Hill's "Psychiatry Gender Equity and Wellness Initiative" takes children as young as FOUR YEARS OLD for patients.
Four. They aren't even in kindergarten. They're probably still memorizing the alphabet.
When can we talk about this as child abuse?
