Iphone 14 Pro Running Ios 16 Check First Look Know How It Will Be
Tumblr media
Apple is supposed to carry a massive change to the " iPhone 14" setup. The hole among standard and expert models will be broadened, yet the decision for clients ought to be simpler with clear lines drawn between each.Apple will in general reuse item plan dialects for a few delivery cycles to decrease creation expenses and increment edges. The level sided upgrade in the iPhone 12 persisted into the iPhone 13, with several changes to the outside case. An uncommon upgrade for the 2022 iPhone might be right on time for Apple's typical update cycle, however conceivable. While Apple some of the time alluded to iPhone refreshes utilizing the "s" naming show, it hasn't done as such since the iPhone XS. Hence we'll allude the 2022 iPhone as the " iPhone 14" all through this message." iPhone 14" FeaturesThe usefulness and list of capabilities of the iPhone is profoundly dependent on iOS refreshes. Other than processor changes and camera refreshes, there are not many modifications that can be made to the equipment that will in a general sense change how iOS works.Apple recently presented highlights like Force Touch and Face ID that caused working framework elements to arise around them. For instance, swiping down from one or the other corner around the score will open various menus, something executed around the presence of the True Depth sensor cluster. The " iPhone 12" saw a takeoff in the adjusted edge configuration utilized since the "iPhone 6". It moved to a level edge with more slender bezels to underline the all-screen show. Nonetheless, it held a portion of the iPhone X plan language - like the first indent and button position. The " iPhone 13" was presented in 2021 with a significant number of these equivalent components, and the two ages of gadgets are so comparative a relaxed eyewitness might experience difficulty separating them. The main changes were to the back camera knock and the score. While noticing Apple's plan patterns throughout the last 10 years, selecting a pattern is simple. The " iPhone" 4 plan was conspicuous for four ages of iPhones, with some showcase size modifications. The iPhone 6 update stayed close by until the iPhone X, an additional four-year cycle assuming you remember iPhone 8 for that count. The iPhone X plan worldview advanced from the iPhone 6 with adjusted edges, however it just kept close by for a long time, changing in the iPhone 12 age. In the event that Apple does an additional three-year configuration cycle, the following iPhone ought to actually acquire from similar components as the iPhone 12."iPhone 14" DesignOn the off chance that bits of hearsay are valid, the " iPhone 14" and " iPhone 14 Max" will be almost indistinguishable from the "iPhone 13" setup they supplant. The small scale would be replaced by the "maximum," yet different elements and plans would continue as before. The vast majority of the breaks for " iPhone 14" so far have zeroed in on the master models, the " iPhone 14 Pro" and " iPhone 14 Pro Max." That might be on the grounds that Apple is by all accounts adopting an alternate strategy to redesigns for 2022.

So im still using my iphone 6s, which i got in early 2017, and why, you may ask, am i still using a 7 year old phone? I have 2 reasons for this, 1) i refuse to have a phone without a headphone jack, i will not suffer the indignity of it, and 2) i don't want to deal with learning a new operating system, because stupid apple doesn't sell phones with headphone jacks anymore i will need to get a phone that uses a different operating system
I have many reasons for wanting a headphone jack, i don't want to have to worry about charging my headphones, i have adhd i don't need to add more things to the list of things i need to do but won't remember, i like having the cord and its more convenient to just plug it in to use the headphones than to have to go into settings and bluetooth and all that, and sure in iphones without the jack you can plug it in to the charger part but what if i want to charge my phone and use my headphones at the same time, and like i know there are adapters out there that can make that possible but again i have adhd i will not be able to keep track of it.
So my next phone can't be an iphone, which tbh is good because apple is shit, but the issue with that is that any other phone i get will be using a different operating system, so i'll have to learn and get used to a new operating system, and i don't do well with change, so im going to use this old phone until it ceases to function

I went to Hawaii. I went diving. It's the end of surf season and not quite dive season but this was a last minute family trip so its not as if I planned this. My standards for "decent dive conditions" are "water deep enough to get my head under that won't immediately kill me". So I was diving.
I found a phone at the bottom of the ocean, just below a surf break. Its pink. Its a iPhone. It's in a case. The case flooded, but Apple is a bitch who won't let anyone fix their precious hardware so the entire motherboard is sealed in resin. It's fully waterproof.
The phone takes a charge. My husband and I fly home, with the phone. The phone powers on. Estimated time at the bottom based on condition of the case : at least a month or 2.
My apple user husbandpulls emergency contact info off the phone. Number is disconnected. Commence the Facebook stalk. We find the guy. He hasn't posted in years. Good for him but frustrating. We find his sister from his page, who hasn't posted since last year. But on her page, she has a link to the health clinic she runs. The clinic has a phone number.
We leave one of the weirder voice-mails that clinic has ever received and prepare to wait 2 to 10 business days for a reply. We get a call back within the hour. She's on the wrong island but shes fairly certain we've found the right guy. She passes on our info to her brother and an hour or so later we get a call from him.
It's his wife's phone. She dropped it off a stand up paddle board while taking pictures of nephew learning to surf. There was also a loyalty card punchcard thing to an ice cream shop in the case, which we did find, but it was a wet paper pulp so it got tossed with the flooded case. Evidently she was more concerned with getting that back that the phone, which she had already replaced, since she had dropped it a full 5 months ago.
So anyway, we got a shipping address and we're mailing a miraculously not bricked phone from Alaska back to Hawaii. This is a new personal record for recovery diving.

Time for some tracts:
"How do we create jobs?" You raise the minimum wage, because if people don't need to work three jobs to make rent, those other two jobs will mysteriously open up.
"How do we support small businesses?" You raise the minimum wage, staggered to the biggest corporations first.
"How do we reduce homelessness?" You raise the minimum wage.
"How do we make sure raising the minimum wage doesn't negatively impact prices or--?"
Prices are already rising faster than wages are, this is playing catch up.
Put a cap on CEO salaries and bonuses, they can't earn more than 100 times more than their lowest paid workers. Current US ratio is 342, which is insane. (This list is mostly about the US.)
Hit corporations first, give small businesses time to adjust. McDonald's and Walmart can afford to raise wages to $20/hr before anyone else does, they have that income.
Drop the weekly hours required for insurance from thirty to fifteen. This will disincentivize employers having everyone work 29hrs a week, partly because working only 14hrs a week is a great way to have undertrained, underpracticed staff. Full time employment becomes the new rule.
Legalize salary transparency for all positions; NYC's new law is a good start.
Legislation that prevents companies from selling at American prices while paying American wages abroad. Did you know that McDonald's costs as much or more in Serbia, where the minimum wage is about $2/hr? Did you know that a lot of foreign products, like makeup, are a solid 20% more expensive? Did you know that Starbucks prices are equivalent? Did you know that these companies charge American prices while paying their employees local wages? At a more extreme example, luxury goods made in sweatshops are something we all know are a problem, from Apple iPhones to Forever 21 blouses, often involving child labor too. So a requirement to match the cost-to-wage ratio (either drop your prices or raise your wages when producing or selling abroad) would be great.
Not directly a minimum wage thing but still important:
Enact fees and caps on rent and housing. A good plan would probably be to have it in direct ratio to mortgage (or estimated building value, if it's already paid off), property tax, and estimated fees. This isn't going to work everywhere, since housing prices themselves are insanely high, but hey--people will be able to afford those difficult rent costs if they're earning more.
Trustbusting monopolies and megacorps like Amazon, Disney, Walmart, Google, Verizon, etc.
Tax the rich. I know this is incredibly basic but tax the fucking rich, please.
Fund the IRS to full power again. They are a skeleton crew that cannot audit the megarich due to lack of manpower, and that's where most of the taxes are being evaded.
Universal healthcare. This is so basic but oh my god we need universal healthcare. You can still have private practitioners and individual insurance! But a national healthcare system means people aren't going to die for a weird mole.
More government-funded college grants. One of the great issues in the US is the lack of healthcare workers. This has many elements, and while burnout is a big one, the massive financial costs of medical school and training are a major barrier to entry. While there are many industries where this is true, the medical field is one of the most impacted, and one of the most necessary to the success of a society. Lowering those financial barriers can only help the healthcare crisis by providing more medical professionals who are less prone to burnout because they don't need to work as many hours.
And even if those grants aren't total, guess what! That higher minimum wage we were talking about is a great way to ensure students have less debt coming out the other side if they're working their way through college.
------------------
Linda P requested something either really interesting or really silly and this is... definitely more of a tract on a topic of interest (the minimum wage and other ways business and government are both being impeded by corporate greed) than on a topic of Silly. Hope it's still good!

Okay Gramps - Chris Evans x Reader
Summary: Chris isn’t happy his iPhone 6s finally died
Word count: 663
Warnings: Fluff! Implied Age Gap! Pregnancy! Teasing!
Masterlist
Tumblr media
You and Chris didn’t often fight and if you did it was generally over something minor, like leaving the toilet seat up, or not putting clothes in the hamper.
However the most reoccurring argument was over his phone that was so old that it functioned more as a metal brick than an actual phone. You had begged him for years to update it, saying it was not worth the nightly battle just to get it to charge, or the poor battery life.
However he just took it to the nearest Apple store to get it repaired. That process repeating until the Apple store refused to repair it because they didn’t have parts anymore because it was that old.
You were certain he’d spent more on getting it repaired than it would cost to just buy a new phone.
You finally won the battle though when you got pregnant and with your due date only getting closer you told him it was not safe for him to be unreachable because his phone’s charge wouldn’t last an hour. The last thing you wanted while going into labour was calling all his friends and family trying to track him down.
However he was probably the only person on earth that wasn’t excited to get a new phone.
“I don’t like the lack of buttons” he huffs as he looks at his new iPhone 13.
“It makes it sleeker and gives you a bigger screen” you point out.
“I guess but I don’t really like the face scan thing either, doesn’t seem safe” he mumbles as he goes through the setting up process.
You roll your eyes at him “they have privacy systems in place, and you were perfectly fine with them having your fingerprint” you point out nodding to his old phone.
“Yeah but what if hackers can access it, they have our faces on file, they could make fake identities” Chris argues shaking his head.
“Oh boy just you wait until you find out about driver’s licenses and all that” you say sarcastically, running your hand over your bump, feeling the baby kick your hand “see even the baby thinks you’re being ridiculous”
Chris rolls his eyes letting out a small huff of a laugh. But still lets out a long sigh as he frowns down at his new phone.
You reach out taking his hand in yours squeezing it reassuringly “look I know you hate tech and thinks its all over complicated nowadays, and i’ll be honest I agree with you to a certain extent” you tell him getting him to look over at you “but you’ll get used to the new phone just like you did with your old one all those centuries ago” you add with a smirk.
Chris finally lets out a good laugh at that, smiling over at you “yeah you’re right, and I have to remind myself its for this one here” he sighs reaching over to rest his large hand over your bump.
“Exactly and think of all the cute non grainy photos you’ll take” you smile watching at his smile grows wider.
“Yeah I can’t wait” he grins leaning over to kiss you.
Just like you said it didn’t take long for Chris to get used to his new phone, he was almost like an excited kid once he found out all the cool features. Often running over to you to show you the adorable photo he’d just taken of Dodger.
“Look how clear it is! You can see every detail! And his eyes!” Chris exclaims as he shows you the most recent photo he took of dodger.
“See tech isn’t so scary after-all” you smirk kissing him on the cheek.
“I never said I was scared of it” Chris huffs rolling his eyes at you.
“Okay gramps” you laugh.
Chris arches a brow at you shaking his head “you’re lucky I love you” he says as he kisses your cheek.
“I love you too” you laugh

We're at most a couple generations from an iphone with no ports at all, only wireless connections, only wireless charging, probably with a proprietary charging system so you can't use just any wireless charger. And it'll be as thin as a sheet of paper and apple fans will still be like "did you hear that the new iphone has even fewer features and is even more fragile?? sounds like it's time to upgrade again!"

You Have the Frugal Right to Repair Your Shit. Or Do You?
A lot of things are not designed to last. We see this most often in tech, where every year or so a new generation of gadget comes out and the old generation slowly stops working so well. Remember my dead phone battery? It goes deeper than that.
My junk drawer is bursting with generations of iPhone charger cables. Every few iterations, Apple changes the charging port in their phones in the name of technological advancement, making the charging cable for the previous generation obsolete. You can’t use those old chargers on your new phone, and you can’t keep using your old phone because it breaks down over time.
This practice is known as planned obsolescence.
