Once a week, Gem and Scar lunched together in front of Scar’s tree, mostly to gossip. As the two elves of the sever, they just felt that it was right to do. No one understood them like each other. It was an elf thing, you wouldn’t get it.

“Omg girl.” Gem tossed her hair over her shoulder. “You would not believe the current drama going on by my mega base.”

“Oh, do tell!” Scar interlaced his hands and rested his chin on them.

“Well, okay, not like drama drama, because it’s Impulse and Pearl and they’re old friends and if they aren’t picking a fight with the other it’s considered a day wasted, but girl, Pearl keeps getting picked up by alien tractor beams in the middle of the night, which is so bright and loud! So Impulse is currently lecturing Pearl about that. But what’s worse is that two nights ago Pearl got back from one of her late-night alien adventures and got teleported right into Impulse’s bedroom, waking him up and scaring him so bad he almost killed her with his axe.”

“Oh my gosh!” Scar covered his mouth dramatically with his hand. “Girl, it sounds like they’re really gonna fight over this one! Drama alert!”

“No, it’s alright.” Gem said with a giggle. “They’ve already agreed to have a boxing match in a few days- whoever wins will ‘win’ the argument.”

“Oh, my money’s on Impulse.” Scar said, taking a sip of his dandelion tea.

“Oh, Scar, you’re deeply underestimating Pearl’s abilities! She’s hiding lots of muscle under that hoodie of hers. You’re forgetting her past. Battle is in her blood! Plus she runs with aliens!”

“True, true.” Scar said, taking another sip of tea thoughtfully. Cub came over with a plate of finger sandwiches and cookies and set it down on the table.

“So, what about you? Got any gossip for me?” Gem asked, taking a cookie.

“Oh, Gem, you know me, always sticking my nose in the latest drama.” Scar said with a deep and dramatic sigh, flipping his hair over his shoulder. “I’m almost sure Cub is a double agent for me and PoopooPies- I mean Gigapies. But like I can’t go fight him, because he’d win somehow. Cub knows me too well. And I swear I saw The Entity move like five feet the other day.”

“The Entity is so not cottagecore.” Gem flipped her hair dismissively.

“Girl, I know!” Scar sighed. “Trees? Bushes? Elven beauty. Even Mumbo’s hole isn’t too bad because there’s a cute river attached to it. But The Entity? Weird and haunted and definitely moved the other day.”

“Do I want to know what Mumbo’s hole is?” Gem asked hesitantly.

“Oh, Mumbo dug a hole in the ground, for resources or whatever.” Scar waved vaguely to Mumbo’s area.

“Ohh, I thought you were talking about- never mind. But ugh yeah The Entity… it better not come near my cottagecore lands or I will get Impulse and Pearl to throw it down a cavern.”

“So true girl.” Scar sighed. “Oh well, I have more pressing things on my mind. Like how I’m going to come on top of all of the other food industries on this sever.”

“Girl, you have elven magic and cottage core elegance on your side, you’ll win for sure!” Gem held up her teacup, and Scar clinked his against hers. “Cheers, girl!”

“Cheers!”

Pairing: Pero Tovar x Fem!Reader

I love when the grumpy one falls for the soft one. It’s one of the best tropes and this one checks off everything on that list. I loved this story and the portrayal of Tovar. My favourite bit about this was the way Tovar started off skeptical but that slowly built into his slight teasing manner. Ugh and that prolonged first kiss? YES! The perfect build up. Sent tingles down my arms. I loooooooooved it. 

2.  breath of life by @thewayofthemandalorian​​​​

Pairing: Pero Tovar x Fem!Reader

I adored this retelling of Snow White and the Huntsman. I would be downright terrified running into Tovar in a darkened forest, especially when he’s tasked to kill you. The slow progression of their feelings for each other is chef’s kiss. Nothing is rushed between them. Our reader is slow to start trusting her almost killer, while Pero is slow to let down his steely resolve around her. I also love the world building in this one. The way the other characters are weaved in throughout the whole story and how it all comes together, is amazing.

Pairing: Dieter Bravo x Fem!Reader

This story is a masterpiece. A MASTERPIECE. The subtle hints of familiarity we get from our reader right from the start, to the actual bomb she drops with Dieter, then to Dieter doing everything in his willpower to change that first impression. Absolutely perfect. ALSO I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO FORGET THE SCENE OF OUR READER, DIETER AND HER CAR. PLEASE! IT IS BURNED INTO MY MEMORY! So much so that I’m considering propositioning my husband to do the exact same thing  

4.  This Drabble by @greyeyedmonster-18​​​​​​

Pairing: Sirius Black & Teddy Lupin

This was absolutely stunning! It’s such a real take on a relationship with a parent and their teenager. It’s rough to try and navigate all those emotions and what comes along with them but the way Sirius allows Teddy to express themselves without pushing is nothing short of amazing. I loved the interaction between them and the way Teddy sought out Sirius to have this particular discussion, as well as how Sirius was cognizant of how to properly approach the discussion with Teddy. When Sirius stops to school his own reaction, allowing Teddy to the the one to steer their interaction made my heart soar. Ugh, we were robbed of Dad!Sirius but lbr, there’s no room for canon here anymore because fandom is exponentially better.

5.  Morning Debrief by @phandoz​​​​​​​

Pairing: Frankie Morales x Fem!Reader

Ugh yes, Frankie boooooyyyyyyyyy! I love the coyness of this entire fic. How blissfully ignorant Benny is to the whole situation, only to have it pushed directly into his face by the end. I love the kinship with our reader and Benny in this one. Not to mention how Frankie is quietly taking it all in. I could feel his smug grin from here!

Toonami Weekly Recap 04/30/2022

Lupin the 3rd Part 6 EP#02 - Detective and Crook: Lily faints after seeing Lupin, while he and Fujiko escape Zenigata. Holmes vows to catch Lupin and tells Lestrade how Lupin was involved in the death of his partner, John H. Watson, 10 years earlier. At their hideout, Lupin explains to the crew about the legend of the "Raven" society and its mysterious treasure, who are then surprised to learn his connection to Holmes. When Lily awakes, she tells Holmes that she remembers Lupin from her past. Zenigata and Yata inspect Faulkner's Black Drawing Room, where Lestrade offers to work together to capture Lupin. Holmes manages to track down Lupin and his crew in an abandoned building and warns him to stay away from Lily and leave London for good. He also led Zenigata and the British police to the hideout, but Lupin destroys the building while he and his crew make their escape. Back at Holmes' house, Lily has a recollection of Lupin standing over the body of her dead father and holding a gun. Meanwhile, Albert is recovering in the hospital where his men tell him that Lupin has left England.

Attack on Titan: The Final Season (The Rumbling Arc) EP#28 (87) Part 2 Finale - The Dawn of Humanity: Several months before the assault on Liberio, the Scouts arrived on the Marley shoreline. On their way to visit Azumabito at her home, they witness the persecution received by Subjects of Ymir firsthand after rescuing a young thief named Ramzi from a mob of Marleyans. Azumabito informs the group that Marley has begun cracking down on Subjects of Ymir who escape their internment camps through use of blood tests. Hange hopes to forge peace by allying with the Subjects of Ymir Protection Group, who will give a speech the next day. Discovering that Eren has gone missing, Mikasa tracks him down to Ramzi's home. Eren questions Mikasa's loyalty to him, asking what he means to her, to which she is taken aback and calls him her family. The rest of the group catches up and they spend the night partying with Ramzi's family. The next day at the Protection Group's assembly, the representative of the Protection Group declares that Subjects of Ymir who don't view themselves as Eldian should be freed, while the "devils" of Paradis should be exterminated, which receives unanimous support from the audience. Eren departs and does not contact the Scouts again until the assault on Liberio. Flashbacks reveal Eren meeting Yelena and agreeing to follow Zeke's euthanasia plan while actually informing Floch of his real plans, Zeke telling him that Ackermans are not actually slaves who actually follow the person they save and that Mikasa is devoted to him for another reason, and Historia deciding to get pregnant in the hopes of stopping Eren's plan. Eren tells Zeke that his only reason for killing all life outside the island is so that his friends can live long, happy lives. In the present, the Global Alliance makes a futile attempt with their navy to stop Eren and the Rumbling from reaching Marley. They are easily destroyed by the Titans and Eren declares his intention to destroy the world as he and the Colossal Titans set foot on the mainland.

Assassination Classroom Season 2 EP#19 (41) - Outer Space Time: After training for their mission, Nagisa and Karma are chosen as the two pilots to be sent into space. Thanks to Ritsu infiltrating the security mainframe of the space center, Nagisa and Karma manage to sneak aboard the rocket in place of some crash test dummies as it lifts off into space. Arriving at the International Space Station, the pair manage to convince the astronaut crew members to share their data before returning safely to Earth. Upon inspecting the data, Manami Okuda tells the other students that the chance of Koro-sensei actually exploding is less than one percent with the help of a drug. Nonetheless, the students agree to continue their assassination attempts until graduation.

Cowboy Bebop EP#25 - The Real Folk Blues (Part 1): Left alone by the rest of the crew, Spike and Jet are ambushed by members of the Red Dragon Syndicate. They are saved by Shin, brother of Spike's former subordinate Lin, who explains that after Vicious unsuccessfully tried to seize control of the organization, people connected to him are now being hunted down. Faye has a chance meeting with Julia and passes on a message from her to Spike. Spike rushes to rendezvous with Julia. Vicious escapes his execution and kills the leaders of the syndicate.

Saturday Six (Stuff)

Parents were gone this week. It was nice to have a chill week at work even if I didn't accomplish much. (。-ω-)ﾉ

Had a doctor's appointment, which was unsatisfactory. Hopefully the next one will be better. ヾ(*´ー`)ノ

The rain is lovely today, even if it does make me want to lie back, and read all day. (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

Last therapy appointment with my current therapist today. Next week I talk to a new one. Not excited for that at all. (◍•﹏•)

Yoga was a bit intense yesterday. Muscles are sore but in a good way.ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ

My boy, @super-ultra-mega-kami-guru-blog got his driver's license yesterday, and I'm super proud of him! ꒰♡ˊ͈ ु꒳ ूˋ͈꒱.⑅*♡💜 💙 💚 💛 ❤️ 💕 💖
