the cycle of inspiration is literally so beautiful like. okay. from what i know edgar allen poe created the detective c auguste dupin for a story that is seemingly the first modern detective story. which lead to the existence of the fictional detectives hercule poirot by agatha christie but also sherlock holmes by arthur conan doyle. the latter of whom in turn inspired conan doyle's brother in law to create aj raffles, the gentleman thief. which inspired maurice leblanc to create arsene lupin, and arsene lupin inspired monkey punch to create lupin iii - which lead to the creation of lupin viii which apparently lead to the inspiration of inspector gadget??? - and also inspired cowboy bebop, and the character of spike spiegel inspired jet from avatar the last airbender - and there were other inspirations involved in all these things too, but it's amazing how one creation can lead to a chain reaction that inspires the creation of so much more it's truly beautiful and breathtaking the way art is inspired by art. you can see the ways these things are all similar, yet also unique and different and have their places in their story. but you can see the traits that are carried on through all of them. isnt it beautiful how legacies intertwine? whatever life is incredible

If they do a Lupin III Part VI I’d like them to continue doing flashback episodes but what I’m really wishing they would do is maybe do a flash forward episode. They could revisit the idea of “Lupin the VIII” the old pilot they planned for a Lupin spin off that got cancelled. I just think it’d be awesome to see Lupin in space, Goemon with a lightsaber, and Jigen with a blaster in the style and animation of the current series. Idk this idea might suck I just thought it’d be neat.

Yo I just learned that Inspector Gadget was the result of a failed Lupin III spinoff (Lupin VIII), and now I’m wondering if there’s a universe where Gadget has to team up with Zenigata to catch the infamous thief Lupin - only for Gadget to realize that it’s his dumbass long-lost uncle Arsene Lupin III.
Like it’s ridiculous but also amazing.
Lupin is probably Gadget’s uncle on his mom’s side. Gadget just... never noticed that his mom’s maiden name matched with an international jewel thief.
Lupin either never really knew about his big sister or he did know and didn’t really really care. Lupin the Second was not a monogamous man.
Lupin adores Penny tho and considers her his full niece. He also recognizes her and Brain’s skill and actively encourages them to try and catch him.

I can see Albus reading Faust VIII and The Portrait of Dorian Grey for a thriller amusement. Something like Sherlock Holmes or Gentleman Thief Arsene Lupin for a mystery/suspense.
What books can you see my muse reading? Send them a list of novels they might like, and my muse will respond!
Faust VIII
“Faust? I had a hard time grasping the language style in the original works. Then again my additional language reading comprehension wasn’t what it is presently.“
The Portrait of Dorian Grey
“’Dorian Gray, having promised his soul in order to live a life of perpetual youth, must try to reconcile himself to the bodily decay and dissipation that are recorded in his portrait.’ Hmm. Sounds like this would be a good ‘dark’ read, and perhaps a lesson learned?”
Sherlock Holmes
“Interesting, it seems this fellow has a real knack for solving mysteries.“
Arsène Lupin, Gentleman Cambrioleur
“My French reading comprehension isn’t at its best, but stories about a ‘gentleman thief’ sound interesting.“((slides Albus a translated copy))
