My silly delulu headcannon is that Spider, in order to get some use out of being a captive, asked the recom squad to teach him human tech in return for teaching them the Na’vi ways. He wanted to have that knowledge for when he eventually runs away so he could then relay all that he gathered to his allies, but it spirals into the entire squad teaching him different skills.

Ja and Prager teach Spider all about first aid in the field, and even how to make stitches on particularly bad cuts.

Lopez and Zdog teach Spider about human tech and how to fix most common machines one can find themselves using out in said field.

Mansk teaches Spider some complex mathematics and then simple programming. Spider makes sure to listen extra closely to his lessons.

And lastly, Quaritch and Lyle decide to take him up on combat and training. They make him test his superhuman limits and go beyond, then Quaritch teaches Spider different hits and positions, how he should channel the strength and momentum through us body etc.

My fave serial is that they teach him all this bc they’re genuinely just THAT confident that he will never escape + are super bored.

That would make up for a fun training montage idk
