"Okay look. While I was fixing Rose, Doc Scratch contacted me and told me that the first guardians had to play a session of Sburb to save... the multiverse. Or whatever."

i thinnk there's' probably something to be said in how John, as a Breath player (and using the idea that these roles reflect how they affect people around them and help the team) can give people the drive and desire to think and move forward in ways they sincerely didn't think was possible, with things like the trolls leaving behind Alternia's influence and social programming or Vriska ultimately coming to the conclusion that she thinks she's a bad person and wants to be better as a direct result of her time with John (as a contrast to timelines where she just doubles down on the person she was)

yes exactly!!! this is the kind of thing that falls under ways the classpects influence things that happen to the players/things they do that arent directly related to like, actual powers they have; john is one of the players who most fully realized his powers as an heir of breath and pretty much everything he does ties back to his classpect in ways that characters who have less realized abilities dont 👀 vriska herself is a very realized thief of light and has her own effects on ppl; any time she interacts with someone for the majority of the narrative, they end up having something very unlucky happening to them (like the beta kids session getting prototyped with bec; its a direct result of vriska's interaction with their session despite not really being something she used her powers for) that directly furthers her own goals. in the final retcon timeline, her goals include the team's success, so she has less of an effect on them, but I do think its notable that she left before the final battle in collide and had no direct influence on it; her presence might have thrown things off, and notably the battle she WAS involved in against lord english involved the sacrifice of a lot of ghosts for her success

Name: Korose Bequerel

Species: Daryan

Race: Bluescale

Role: A Super Executive-rank member of Winterkill Works. A former scientist and specialist associated with Scarab Tower, an unfortunate incident involving two of her coworkers put her in near-exile. Thanks to a highly warped victim complex, she often turns her experiments onto herself. 

Affiliation: Winterkill Works, Scarab Tower

Gender: Female

Age: 30

Height: 5’8

Appearance: Korose is a fairly tall woman with broad shoulders and a lean build. Her hair is dark blue, hip-length, cut off straight at the ends, and typically worn in a high ponytail with even bangs and small sidelocks. She wears glasses, and thanks to her continued self-experimentation, her skin from the neck down is a horrific patchwork of different colors and textures. 

Personality: The main facet of Korose’s personality is a warped victim complex in which she simultaneously sees herself as an inflictor of harm upon others, and a target deserving of punishment and retribution. She’s generally apathetic and detached from what happens around her, preferring to be more of an observer than an active agent. While she’s logic-minded and highly rational, her thought processes often follow a winding path that makes her difficult to understand. She follows a strict code of ethics and is highly moral, but the exact standards she adheres to aren’t clearly defined. She carries a lot of guilt over past events, many of them out of her control, and that guilt drives the majority of her actions even now. 

Positive Traits: Korose is rational, practical, and responsible. She can be trusted with the work assigned to her, and never shirks her duties or gives less than her full effort. She has a sharp mind and a quick wit, capable of outthinking almost anyone she interacts with. Politeness comes easily to her, and she’s careful to make more allies than enemies, especially in her turbulent workplace. Her sense of morals and desire to do good is strong, though the exact lines of what she considers ethical can be difficult to define. 

Negative Traits: Korose’s victim complex is her undoing. She’s so focused on the determination of her own suffering that she blocks out everything and everyone around her. She’s prone to being much too passive, almost doormat-like in how she’ll allow others to take advantage of her. Apathetic, she doesn’t care enough about her own well-being to do anything to help herself, even when her situation gets dire. Despite her usual logic, her introspective thought processes are twisted and hard to understand.

History: Korose’s past mostly involves an independent research facility in the Daryan country, where she studied in her youth. She’s kept the same career path since she was young, but there was a particular incident during her teenage years, involving two former friends, that left a stain on both her reputation and mental state. She joined Winterkill Works out of a twisted sense of obligation toward her subordinates combined with a subconscious, self-sabotaging desire to take away any better options for herself. 

Relationships: Korose’s relationships are usually distant at best. She doesn’t form connections with people easily— and she rarely tries to. She’s polite to her coworkers, yet keeps them at arm’s length, not going out of her way to engage. She has a strange connection with her three direct subordinates, though. Her conduct towards them borders on motherly, though their unsettling past takes away any sweetness that may have held.

Interests: Korose likes conducting structured research, keeping things organized, and philosophical self-introspection. She dislikes chaotic things, unnecessary suffering, and her own happiness. Most of her time is spent on her work as a Super Executive, and she lacks any personal hobbies.

WW Role: As one of the Super Executives at Winterkill Works, Korose has a specialized role designed to make the organization run smoothly— and hers is split between assisting with assorted research as she’s needed, and keeping general records on the organization. She takes her duties seriously and is known for impeccable performance and organizational skills. 

Miscellaneous: Korose doesn’t discuss the details of how she formed her connection to the Hazard triplets, but their relationship is a complicated, co-dependent one with a troubled past. While she’s usually quiet and unobtrusive, she’s fond of lengthy philosophical discussions, especially those regarding the ethics of research and experiments. She’s good at managing difficult people, though it’s mostly through subtle manipulation tactics. She has a skill for keeping things orderly, and greatly enjoys her duties at Winterkill Works because of the complex tasks assigned to her. 

Connotative Description: A passive, apathetic woman whose distorted view of herself and strange code of ethics lead her to dangerous places. While she’s highly competent, her mental state is less than ideal.

If by OG version you mean the Candy!Epilogue, she's not an ecto-baby. She's Jade and Rose's naturally born, biological child. Because for some hellish reason, the writers decided to give Jade a dick and justify it as part of her being fused with Bequerel. When having a secret ecto-baby behind her husband's back would've been less weird but still justify why she hid the child. Rose even explained the pregnancy was really short, like a dog pregnancy.

Anyways, the version of Yiffany that shows up on the final video on CSAU is still Jade and Rose's kid, i don't think it would make sense for a diferent mix of parents to produce the same child.

She was just made through ectobiology this time around, along with hundreeds of other babies, that's why it's not weird for her to exist. The kids mixed their DNA in multiple posible convinations and Jade+Rose was just one of many.

That's why i added that little frame where Kanaya is playing with her. She has no reason to be mad at Rose, Jade or their bio baby, because Yiffy just one of docens of random babies they all made to repopulate the planet, instead of an afair baby.

And the same goes for Tavros and Vrissy, they would never come to exist in CSAU if it's not as random Ecto-babies, because their bio parents just wouldn't have them. Harry Anderson it's a diferent story.

So, in this timeline, they still exist and their bio parents are the same, but they were born from ectobiology and were last seen leaving in a ship with the carapace and other babies and grubs.

Muppet Jade was very fun to make! I was on the fence about whether to go for a rounder Rolf-like look or a long snout Bequerel-type look. I like how she turned out! I also tried something new with the eyes - I cut little convex circles out of a plastic soda bottle and used a "reverse glass painting" technique (i.e., painting on the back side so the eyes retain the glossy clear plastic finish).
