not me popping back on here with a post after months of semi-inactivity (uni is being a bitch) just to reiterate how much i love writing the pahkitew island cast.

jane does her best to avoid mirrors at any cost as she finds her reflection somewhat distorted in them. she sees who she is, knows it’s her, but her face always looks a tad askew; like her eyes are too far apart, or her lips are a little smaller than she thought they were. overtime, this becomes so prevalent that if she looks into one for too long, her perception and surroundings instead hold a similarity to the upside down. in the bathroom, the shower behind her drapes with tangled vines; the sink is running, but it releases the same black liquid that she was coughing up after closing the gate. her own body and face will transform into that twelve year old girl with a shaved head and a tattered hospital gown. it gets to the point that she begins combing her hair elsewhere, and brushing her teeth with her eyes closed so she doesn’t need to look in the mirror, or using the kitchen sink. she does open up about these experiences with her therapist in 1986, and is given techniques to help distinguish between what is real and what isn’t. these mental tools do help, but sometimes, even if it’s just a flash, blink and you’ll miss it, the glass will show her what’s not really there. ultimately, it’s why there’s no mirror in her bedroom both in hopper’s cabin and the ives’ house. even when she’s nearing adulthood, becky stands in the bathroom with her when jane has no choice but to use it, and assures her niece that anything she may be seeing is not real.

HIYAA i keep seeing the rottmnttmtmohgodtheacronym is so confusing. I keep seeing the new movie trend and the animation looks so amazing but ive somehow not heard about it at all before? Is there a series too or is there just a film?? I didn't know who else to ask '^_^>

Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles started back in 2018, and has 2 seasons! You can find the first season on Netflix, or you can find both seasons on Paramount+! Just a warning though, the episodes are sort of out of order on Paramount, so make sure you go by order on the Wiki!

As for the movie it just dropped on the 5th, and is the first ROTTMNT content we got after it ended just about 2 years ago so we were PRETTY STARVED

I’ve never seen any of the previous TMNT iterations this is my first one I’ve ever seen, but it’s genuinely one of my fav shows! I really recommend it to anyone who is a fan of animation, every episode looks absolutely spectacular

No offense, but the fact that Mikalia and Lily just, kinda dismiss Amphibia confirming Sasha as bi....is kinda sad. it does genuinely piss me off how much of the greatest things about my old school was built off the blood sweat and tears of this one incredible passionate lovely teacher and they never ever ever gave him anything in return until he left for a better school during my a levels 😐 and then I had to have the shittiest teacher alive for othello instead of him who would have slayed it and I'm NOT bitter about it out all

#they did the same with the other best teacher in the english dept too and he left! so he couldn't teach us for yr 11/ a level either! #when he announced he was leaving i literally cried on the car ride home... it was traumatic #anyway sorry this isn't even about him rn. the point is he literally did everything by himself in his own time not getting paid at all #and he was excellent. he taught me latin for years and it wasn't always the best because like. it's latin for two hours on a thursday #after school we were tired as hell. but it was ALWAYS meaningful it was always worth going and i miss it and #the memories of it all the time #and i didn't get to do a latin a level which I'm also sooooo not bitter #and then the icing on the cake is that every single christmas he wrote casted directed and performed in #an original christmas pantomime show for the kids. every year.
