The opportunity to head south to your grandparents’ old cabin for the summer break was more than inviting. A whole month of solitude, early mornings with orange-red sunrises, the rushing water of the creek – all of it sounded positively seductive, and you were more than interested.

Now, after you’ve settled in, you are positively certain something is taking residence in the forest – something unnatural.

This was a very recent read of mine that is very good. It’s a one-shot Flip Zimmerman x Reader from the BlacKkKlansman movie. Highly recommend this if you like rugged out door men.

3. Favourite character from Prequals?

that’s a really difficult decision, because i love both anakin and obi-wan so much. i’d say it’s tied between the two of them. not to say i don’t enjoy the other amazing characters, but those two boys make me so happy.

4. Favourite character from original trilogy?

ahhhh there’s so many good characters, i’m in tears. i really love han, obi-wan, and vader, but i’m also a simp for luke. probably luke with han as a close runner up. i still couldn’t decide between obi-wan and darth vader 😭.

5. Favourite character from sequal trilogy?

poe, 100%. i do love ben and finn, but finn’s character development was ruined, so i have to go with that pilot boy, dameron. he’s always been a favorite of mine. his character is so enticing.

18. How has Star Wars impacted your life?

it’s so cheesy, trying to describe this. but in all honesty, star wars has definitely had a huge impact on my life. my dad raised me on marvel and star wars. it was all comic books and watching those movies growing up. i used to think darth vader was the coolest guy ever, when i was like 6. i didn’t know how to pronounce words correctly, so i would always ask my parents if i could watch “star works” i would say that i draw a lot of inspiration from those movies and stories. the characters are symbols to me, each standing for their own thing. star wars will be one of those things that’s important to me. if i ever had children, i’d want them to experience star wars and enjoy it as i have. it makes me feel extremely nostalgic, too.

38. Fic recommendations?

If you prefer one-shots, imagines, or nsfw kylo ren content, @babbushka is an amazing write. i really really enjoy their content. as far as long fics, i’d recommend “keeping your promise” by @strongtwiheart because it’s amazing. i’d also suggest that you read “a soul to mend his own” by @bexterbex i really enjoy reading this particular series very much.

Chapter Preview!!

Since it’s taking a lot longer than I wanted to get the next chapter of Identical Strangers out. I wanted to give you guys a little sample of the up coming chapter. Its just a quick conversation between Kylo and Hux. It’ll be another few days before the whole thing will be out. I’ve recovering from surgery and juggling a bunch of other real life things right now. Thank you for your continued support and hope I can get it out sooner than later!

No warnings. Just the usual pissing contest between Commanders. Enjoy!

“I will be handling this situation from here on out.” came Ren’s modulated voice from behind Hux. “This does not concern you, General.” 

Hux turned and glared at the masked man, “None of my concern? How in the blazes is this none of my concern, Ren? The Finalizer is under MY Command, and these rebels have crash landed into MY hangar. This is absolutely my concern.” 

Kylo took a step closer, his eyes bored into the General from behind the visor of his mask, “You are not the sole commander of this ship General. You may think that you alone command not only this ship but the entirety of the First Order, but you are gravely mistaken.” 

“Is that so?” Hux replied standing his ground, he stared directly into the visor without a hint of fear in his ice blue eyes, “I am the General of the First Order. I have an actual rank and unlike you, Ren, I have worked hard, fought, and killed to reach where am I. You’re Snoke’s apprentice. Your affiliation is with the Knights of Ren, not the First Order. You may share command with me over the military, but you are not an officer.” 

“Your delusions of grandeur blind you from who holds the true power here.” Ren said, “You might have power over those in the First Order but,  you lack one important thing that makes me more valuable to the Supreme Leader. Something that you could work hard for, fight for and kill for but will never attain.” Ren said, “You will never conquer this galaxy because you don’t have the Force.”

“I have military force, and the respect of my men.” Hux fired back, “And that is what is worth more than some ridiculous Force mumbo jumbo. If either of us are under delusions of grandeur, it is you, Ren.” “Supreme Leader would disagree, it is better to rule with-”

“Sirs?” Lieutenant Mitaka interrupted sheepishly. 

Both Hux and Ren turned their eyes on the Lieutenant causing him to shrink under their intense gazes. Mitaka pointed to the ship where Poe and Matt were still standing with their hands behind their heads. 

“The prisoners, what are your orders?” Mitaka asked. “Bind their hands and take them--” Hux began to say. 

“Bind their hands. Dameron will be put into an interrogation room while the other comes with me.” Ren said his voice cutting through Hux’s. “If the General is so insistent that he should be involved, then the prisoners will be split up. That way they cannot work together.” 

Hux scowled but shook his head in agreement. “I will handle Dameron and you will handle the other.” Hux said, he turned on his heel and walked over the ship. 

Kylo watched the General cross the hangar, the last thing he wanted was for Hux to be alone with Matt. Dameron was put in binders and escorted out of the hangar by Hux and several stormtroopers. After they were out of sight Ren approached the ship and his brother. “Come with me.” he ordered, he grabbed Matt’s arm and pulled him towards the exit of the hangar. “And don’t speak until I say so.”

Something new I am wanting to try. I’ve been reading fanfiction since about 2010 and I have read a lot of really good stuff over the years. So I thought I would share some of the works that I have enjoyed. Not all of them are going to be Star Wars/Star Trek fics, but they will be fics that I enjoy, along with authors I whole heartedly support. (These fics are just my recommendations and therefore my opinions, if you don’t like them keep on scrolling.)

Fix Your Attitude by @kylorengarbagedump​

You’re an engineer, stationed at Starkiller. You’re desperate for recognition in your career, but issues with your assignment (spoiler alert: it’s the Command Shuttle) end up making you the clean-up crew, instead. Your annoyance with Kylo Ren lands you into some hot water. How many messes is he going to make you responsible for?

Honestly this is a staple work in the Kylo Ren fandom. I really shouldn’t have to say more than that. [Status: Complete]

Canon Cora/Kylo Series by @noodlecupcakeswritings​

Cora and Ben were best friends and trained together until he became Kylo Ren, Cora will stop at nothing to get her friend back.

The long awaited sequel to A Call to the Light. Cora and Ben's relationship is non existent after Ben murdered his father but with Cora being pregnant, Bens trying his hardest to make things work. It's not as easy as he would have liked.

Kelsey writes an amazing OC x Kylo Ren series that you should definitely check out. I know people don’t usually like OCs but Cora is badass. [Status: 2 of 3 Works Complete]

DC Omegaverse Series by @evilpixiea​

Wherein Bruce is an omega and Clark an alpha.

One of the biggest cornerstones in the A/B/O genre. It is truly the first work I stumbled across in that fandom. It is well developed and has inspired so many more works. If you like A/B/O you have to check this out. [Status: Complete]

Welcome back to Fic Rec Friday. Last week people seemed pretty excited for it, and not just the authors of those works. Since a lot of us have some time on our hands I’ve got some more recommendations for you. Remember not all the fics are Star Wars/Star Trek related. I like a lot of different stuff, and this reflects that. 

Some Authors You Should Check Out (because they’ve got a lot of good work that I would recommend):

@amadwomanrambles​ She writes a lot for Hux, and is really good at it too. If you like period AUs like medieval or Victorian she is your gal. Go check out her stuff here or on her Ao3 

@neeharlowwrites​ Writes for Kylo Ren, mostly Reader inserts or for her OC Noctrisha. I know a lot of you that follow me are thirsty for Kylo so go look at her stuff. Her Ao3 is here. 

@galacticcannibalism​ Writes for Poe & Kylo, and for Connor from DBH. She’s got a lot of thirst to share. So go look at here Ao3. 

Ok, now onto some none Star Wars stuff: 

I know the omgcp! fandom is huge on tumblr, but there is another fictional hockey writer you should check out and its @youcouldmakealife​. Their Original Story is so vast and so detailed that honestly, they don’t get enough love or credit for. As a hockey fan myself I have always enjoyed their writing. So check out their Ao3. Honestly Vinny needs to get a life.
