It was lovely to finally see Stephen Soucy’s Merchant Ivory documentary on the big screen at BFI Flare 2024 this afternoon, and the stars/crew/Merchant Ivory family were out in force. Guess who:
(1) looked startlingly younger in person that they do in the documentary (or they have a lookalike)
(2) was spotted popping in and out of the screening, and in and out of the hospitality room for beers
Also spotted: costume-design legend Jenny Beavan, Adrian Ross Magenty (Tibby Schlegel/deleted Dickie Barry) and Rupert sitting next to (looked like) A Room With A View’s cinematographer Tony Pierce-Roberts.

Also posting these two separately
16 Mar 2024, BFI Flare LGBTQ+ Film Festival 2024, BFI Southbank, London: VIP arrivals Rupert Graves and Greta Scacchi, there for the UK premiere of Stephen Soucy’s Merchant Ivory documentary – which also turned out to be a huge reunion of the (UK) Merchant Ivory family.

Lmaooo it's the way homophobes are frothing at the mouth to say it's not gay whenever Ben's being real fruity and people are loving it
Like. Who shat on your breakfast this morning? We're just having fun. It's not our fault you have a problem whenever Ben does and says gay things/things you don't consider manly.
He did photoshoots for Attitude, a gay lifestyle magazine.
He said his favorite color is flamingo pink.
"I'd turn for Roger in the 70's." - IIRC he said this at the Oscars during a red carpet interview
The "Hey, buddy" video with Joe
"Drag queen! I actually would love that." - When asked what type of role he'd want to play.
"We (Jason and I) always take pictures like it's our wedding day." - He said on the BFI Flare 2024 screening of his queer romance film Unicorns
Being fruity is normal for Ben and I love how secure he is in himself and his sexuality that he does things like this without being all "but no homo" about it.
Y'all just need to get it in your heads that Ben ain't the toxic macho masculine straight dude you want him to be.
Ben is sweet and soft and physically affectionate and just fruity enough to make people wonder.
