“Great Buddha” screen printed on a super comfortable cotton tee. . I was raised in a very evangelical house. It was my discovery of buddhism that first caused me to question the beliefs i had been raised with. Buddhism ultimately paved my way to atheism where i was perfectly content for a long time. I occasionally meditated and felt generally ok about things. Buddhism and atheism get along just fine - at least how i was doing it. Then, i did the mushrooms and everything changed. Most of the Buddhist teachings i had learned were still relevant but i saw much more. There was a lot more to the emptiness than just emptiness. I started to feel that there was a lot more life all around me than i had previously believed. While i no longer consider myself to be a Buddhist, I am so grateful for the foundation i have in that practice. This is just how my personal@journey has transpired. Everyone’s path is different.
