A week had passed since Neteyam had dropped you off at the laboratories on the outskirts of his village, and a lot had happened since then.
After Neteyam left, you were escorted into the premises by Max, who turned you over to Norm for fixing.
Norm had patched your arm up with gauze paired with a paste made from the wilds of Pandora, and he was delighted to finally put a face to the voice he had been hearing through the comlink for over a year.
The consensus from everyone was that you had been lucky Neteyam had found you. The bullet hadn't passed through your lower arm, and with a quick extraction, you were on the road to healing, surrounded by the reasonably happy group of rebel scientists you had been feeding information to from the compounds of the RDA these past months.
As your arm healed, you grew closer to Max and helped him run the station as much as he would let you when you weren't meant to be resting. This still left a lot of time in the day, so you started to shadow either Max or Norm and tried asking as much as possible about the Na'vi people as you learned the trades needed to keep the station afloat.
You had built up a routine for day-to-day life, and while it was boring, helping the native people and their planet is what you had risked your life for. It's why you wouldn't see Earth again, and it's why you were here.
The mundane work was mostly upkeeping the lab from weather and fixing any technical issues you were qualified for. Still, occasionally, Norm would let you discern things he had brought back from outside while he had been in his avatar. It made your heart sink as you knew that no matter what, you couldn't go back out there with the threat of everything being nearly twice as significant as you and twice as deadly.
Norm was actively showing off his hobby of teaching now, and it felt awkward to have this heavy feeling in your chest while Norm looked like a kid in a candy store as he held up the flower to you and pointed out the different attributes and what they were used for with a pair of tweezers.
You nodded and occasionally asked questions, but this quiet learning moment was interrupted when Max tore into the room with sweat running across his forehead. He must have sprinted across the entire compound.
"We have an issue", he finally managed to gasp out, and you immediately turned to Norm, who, as swiftly as he could, placed down the flower onto the sterilized tray behind him and set off after Max with you in tow.
"What's the matter?" Norm nervously asked as his eyes darted around, seeing the rest of the human residents were somewhat uneasily watching you three nearly sprint to the opening hatch that led to the vast plains of Pandora.
"Y/n, you've got a guest", Max coughed out with an awkward laugh as your eyes widened in curiosity.
Your trio rushed to reach the containment hallway, which was the only barrier between your oxygenated environment and the deadly poisonous gasses of the alien planet.
All of you were entirely out of breath once you approached the spot, and you could feel your arm cry out as you stepped inside the room just outside of the airlock.
Your eyes widened in happiness as you saw your savior awkwardly taking a device that was attached to his side and bringing it to his face. Neteyam took a deep breath with his eyes shut before his eyes fluttered open again and immediately found you a few feet in front of him.
A few scientists below him tried to advise him of a few safety briefings in Na'vi so he didn't go around smacking things over. Still, he completely turned a blind eye to them and he stepped over the woman who yelled out for him to come back. Neteyam happily ignored her as he shuffled towards your more petite figure with a grin. Norm and Max backed up immediately as the giant man came towards them.
Neteyam placed a hand on the roof to steady himself before he lowered himself to speak with you face to face. You smiled as his bright yellow eyes connected with yours, enjoying the familiar connection after so long apart.
"Neteyam!" You yelled out and leaped forward to give him a polite hug of endearment around his waist. Your touch immediately knocked the air out of him, forcing him to pick up the device again and lift the clear plastic mask to his mouth in order to get more of his indigenous air into his lungs.
After you pulled back, he responded by saying your name to you with a quirk in his ears as a sound in one of the distant labs caught his sense's attention.
You laughed merrily and then turned around to see that everyone was eyeing you both with astonishment. Perhaps being so friendly with the Na'vi had been a bit odd, but he had saved your life after all, and how were you supposed to know that this was the first time any of the scientists had seen Neteyam allow a sky person other than Spider to touch him? Even though on several occasions it was quite literally life or death.
"Uh, can you guys give us the room?" Max called to the other two foreign researchers in the room in hazmat suits.
They wasted no time in nodding and taking off, shutting the metal door behind them with the selected password to prevent any outbreaks. None of the regulars were used to seeing this son of Jake Sully's, and it was clear they were more than happy to steer clear from the hunter.
The silence that followed the departure was unnerving, and you felt the tension in the room spike as you spotted Neteyam's deadly longbow laid across the table behind him, probably at the demands of the other two who had greeted him at the door.
"So, uh, why are you here?" You asked, feeling the duo pair of eyeballs burning into the back of your head intensify as you continued speaking to Neteyam.
He understood your words and replied in Na'vi, which made you purse your lips as you nodded your head to show you had heard him before awkwardly turning to Norm, motioning for him to tell you what the boy had said.
Norm stuttered over his words for a minute before he replicated the sentence in English.
"He said he missed you and asked if that was a good enough reason", Norm's delivery lacked the mischievous twinkle in Neteyam's eye, but you paired the two together and grinned.
The warrior obviously had a sense of humor when lives weren't at stake, and it made you happy to learn more about the young man. He gazed around the room for a second before he seemed to register Max and Norm's presence, making himself nod at them respectfully before he returned to stare back at your body.
You were utterly at a loss for what to say. The angry man who had first seen you in the woods not long ago was banished from sight, and in his place was this smiley man that still had the means to kill you but had sought you out to simply say hello.
His eyes sparked, and he turned to his hip, digging his hand into a burlap sack he had attached there before he produced his closed fist and held it to you, watching your face peek in interest as his tail flickered madly behind him, hitting the metal walls.
You couldn't help the engrossment you felt, so just as Max was calling out for you to be careful, you pressed your significantly smaller hand into Neteyam's, and in response, he let his hand unfurl to present you with a gift.
It was a red stone that looked like a moving body of water had tumbled it for a long time. The rock shone under the heavy-duty lights above you, and with a timid move, you reached forward and picked it up from his hands, smiling as you thanked him for the gift.
He watched you admire it in your hands as you held it up to the light and stared at it in wonder. Neteyam could get used to amazing you like this.
He leaned one hand on his knee and the other on the floor to steady himself as he gazed at you with wide pupils that tried to take in all of your beauty.
You held the gift to your chest and bowed your head at him, delighting as he copied you without hesitation.
His smile faltered and transformed into an embarrassed throat clearing as his ears fluttered backward. He took his eyes off your figure and stared at the ceiling as his nose sniffed at the air as it had done upon his first meeting with you.
You thought back to the invasive manhandling he had done to you, and in response, you felt a heavy blush consume your face. You bashfully looked at the stone in your hand to avoid Neteyam seeing your face and reading your movements. You turned the beautiful blood-red stone over a few times before slipping it into your pocket and letting the weight drag the fabric of your pants.
Neteyam eyed the individuals behind you with a frown but chose to disregard them. He pressed himself closer to the ground to whisper something to you. He placed his head in front of your plunged face, which was determined not to look up to his eyes, and he softly mumbled something that made your blush deepen.
"Smell you?" His articulation was terrible, but the words still translated to you either way.
If he was being honest, the only reason he hadn't swept you up into his arms the second he saw you was because of the audience he was facing, but your fragrance was once again outpowering his freewill. He desperately needed to feel the fizz you activated in him before he went feral and ripped your clothes off to smell every inch of you.
You glanced behind yourself at Norm and Max, who were both still at a loss for words, but it seemed they were becoming more accepting of your friendship as you spent long minutes basking in one another's presence.
You swallowed nervously but nodded your consent to his touching.
His ears revived back up as he smiled smugly. He adjusted his body so he was sitting crossed-legged in front of you, his knees pressed against the sides of the short hallway, but he didn't care, instead, he focused on your facial expression as you very slightly looked to your left, allowing him a view of your neck.
He slowly inched towards you, giving you plenty of time to pull back and change your mind, but when you didn't, he moved forward, brushed his nose against your bare neck and rejoiced at the fact you still smelt just as strong as you did in his dreams.
He was nearly salivating at the scent, and he selfishly pushed himself deeper into your neck, letting his face push you around slightly while his body shivered at the properties of your touch.
He was doing everything he could not to let his hands roam around your body and investigate where you smelt sweetest, but his euphoric daydreaming was ruined by the sound of Max speaking to you in English.
When you answered back, he felt a sharp electric zap of possessiveness power through him. You were his mate, you weren't meant to be speaking to other men, and you were certainly not told to talk to other single men.
Neteyam growled something over your shoulder to Max and then picked you up gently and rose you to his body so he could set you on his lap. He placed your back against his chest and let his hands entrap your waist to ensure you kept still.
You yelped a little as you suddenly felt your feet leave the ground. Then you let out an 'oof' as Neteyam sat you on his thigh, allowing you to face the other men in the room as he mindlessly returned to bury his head into your neck, forcing your head to an unnatural angle as you nervously chuckled.
"Friendly guy, huh?" You asked the science geeks, but they were both looking at each other with scandalized stares, both more shocked than you had ever seen.
Neteyam’s grip on your waist tightened as he found a hotspot of sweat that was pooling in your neck. The sweet aroma nearly knocked him out with the jolt of pleasure it sent directly to his brain.
Max's jaw dropped while Norm let out an unbelieving chuckle, pointing to your two entangled bodies with an open hand and then back to Max as if to ask what was happening. If it was a competition between who was more aghast, you weren't sure who won.
"This isn't uh...this isn't a greeting used for friends y/n", Max tried to explain while beating around the bush as Norm was still unable to form a single word in English or Na'vi.
Your brow creased in confusion, but then you felt canines gently nip at your neck, and you squeaked as your hand flew up and grabbed onto Neteyam's forearm before you growled out his name in anger at his unchecked drunken actions.
Neteyam's hot breath fanned your neck as he grumbled out another line that nobody had translated to you yet, which worked to push you closer to the edge of frustration.
"What is he saying?" You asked as you squirmed away from his touch, only to have him drag you back into him and gently kiss your neck, making you scream as you let go of your motor functions and thrashed him off.
He pulled his head back with a scowl before once again he said something and let one hand off your waist so he could lightly pull your head back by your hair, allowing him access to freely rub his cheek around your jugular. You choked out at his harsh movements, but neither Norm nor Max seemed too concerned for your safety.
He rubbed his skin against your neck, and for a second, you swore you heard the deep rumbling of a purr thundering across the hallway, but Neteyam quickly cut it off with an embarrassed cough.
"He's uh, well, he's saying a lot", Max was even more flustered than you as he turned to Norm and nodded for him to take over the translation.
"He's trying to tell us to stay away, he's trying to scent you", Norm found his voice, and if you couldn't see the shock and slightly affronted stare he was holding with you through Neteyam's braids, you would have almost thought you were back in the lab and he was explaining the biology of the flower to again.
"Well, can you tell the knucklehead to knock it off?" You huffed with a provoked tinge to your voice as Neteyam let your hair go and returned to his original spot in the crook of your neck.
You would never admit it, not even on your deathbed, but the touch was welcome as his warm skin brushed against you and sent ravenous desire through your soul. The fact you had your colleagues standing in front of you as Neteyam touched you so intimately was really the only problem.
"Do you want us to lose a limb?" Norm tried to joke, but you didn't appreciate his humor.
The feeling of a hot, wet, velvety tongue being dragged from the base of your neck to your jaw made you whine, and the two older men's eyes snapped to Neteyam as you finally decided you had enough of being humiliated.
You ripped yourself from his grip and snapped your head to stare at him angrily, but he only chuckled and his deep voice rumbled through your core as another line came from his mouth. You had no idea what he said, but his hooded eyes and loving smirk tightened your core with a lustful tug.
You spun around again and let your rage spill over.
"Somebody better tell me what he's saying right now before I go crazy!" You yelled. Neteyam let his hands depart from your body and gave you the room to jump from his grip so you could stand with your back to him.
Norm stuck his hands up in mock surrender and shook his head.
"I'm not translating that one", he leaned over and smacked Max on the back for support.
The older man choked on his breath and stumbled to find the right words as Neteyam hungrily eyed your back in front of him.
"He's calling you his muntxa...his mate", Max looked fortified at his words and instantly dropped your gaze as you felt yourself cease entirely to exist.
You turned sharply towards Neteyam, and suddenly the gift, the smelling and the scenting all made sense. You could feel everything in you turn red with blush as you started wildly shaking your head and waving your hands above your head in an 'x' shape which yanked his wandering eyes back to your face.
"No muntxa! No thank you! Find a pretty Na'vi woman, okay? I'm not interested!" You shouted each word louder as if somehow he would be able to understand you if your speech became more pronounced.
"That's not how it works, you can't just turn him down" Norm tried to explain from behind you with an amused huff as Neteyam stared at your outburst in confusion.
He understood most of what you said, but why would you turn him down if you were his mate? There was no questioning that you were his because everything about you was made to draw him in, but it was clear you weren't happy.
His tail paused midair behind him, and he brought it forwards, testing how angry you were by letting the tip of the limb lay by your foot.
You stared down at his tail in curiosity. You let its presence leave your mind as you turned around and asked what exactly you had to do in order to get Neteyam to understand that you couldn't have been his mate because you weren't even the same species. But then you felt the whip-like extremity slowly curl its tip around your ankle.
You went to kick it off, but the tail only slithered further up until it was snugly wrapped around your thigh.
Neteyam's heart sang out as you looked down at the tail without movement, and while in reality, you were too shocked to move, he took it as acceptance and let his large hands creep over to gently grab you again.
"No, Neteyam!" You sternly yelled as his fingers barely grasped your waist.
He let out a long groan as if he were a child being denied a treat by his mother. He couldn't possibly see what the issue was. He pulled his tail back and spoke directly to the human men for the first time since his arrival.
"Why is she so mad, huh? Tell her I'm a good choice for a mate", he couldn't wrap his head around your stubborn unwillingness to let his hands roam where they pleased, and your denial was starting to vex him.
You listened closely as Max translated the interaction between Neteyam and Norm while they spoke to each other in Na'vi.
"It's not that she think's you're a bad choice, she just doesn-", Neteyam's impatience cut off Norm.
"Good, then she can be my mate", he truly saw no issue and was at a loss as to why you weren't all over him in the same manner.
Sure, you were human, and maybe it was odd, but over the week he had been apart from you, he had never felt so lonely, and that loneliness had fueled his courage to take his first steps into the laboratory. He wanted to see you and maybe even take you outside if that was what you wanted, but it was clear you were still getting used to him for now.
"Neteyam, she doesn't know anything about--", Norm was beginning to irritate him, and Neteyam looked over to you as he spoke his following words.
"I will teach her, she will learn", Neteyam didn't care if you didn't know anything. It wasn't of any issue to him.
He would have to protect you with everything he had to keep you safe outside. He wanted you close, and saving you would keep him busy, just how he wanted to be.
Neteyam left the conversation with Norm, much to the scientist's annoyance, and shuffled closer to you, forcing you to stare up at Neteyam as he stared down at you.
"If you want me to leave, I'll leave, but I won't ever come back and you won't see me again", his words were empty, and he knew it, but his hopes were that you wouldn't catch onto his poker face and you would answer in his favor.
Norm took a turn translating for you with a sigh as he knew that Neteyam was lying. The bond between mates was too much to abandon, and while Neteyam had clearly found his points of interest in you, it seemed to be that you hadn't latched onto any intoxicating part of him as quickly.
Your face fell into sadness at the idea of never seeing him again, but you drew your lips closed in thought, trying to debate what exactly to say.
Neteyam took your silence coldly and scoffed as he shook his head in doubt before he turned to leave, but you quickly jumped up and grabbed onto the end of his braid that had nearly smacked you in the face with his momentum.
"Don't leave!" You cried out while the men behind you gasped and quickly called out for you to drop the end of the knot, which you promptly acted in compliance with.
It was Neteyam's turn to freeze at your touch. You could feel that you had done something wrong, so you went to apologize, but when Neteyam's eyes met yours, it was as if he had love hearts in place of his eyes.
He went back to ignoring Max and Norm's attendance as he pushed himself to the floor and gently approached you with open hands so he could snatch you back up and return to his favorite place; your neck.
He didn't stick around long though, and after a quick fill-up of his addiction, he replaced you. He turned to Max to toss a comment at him before he stood up and jogged over to his bow before he swiftly departed as you called out to him, letting out apology after apology in fear it was your touch that had scared him off.
"I'm sorry! Look, I didn't know! Come back here! Ugh, you can't keep your hands off me when I tell you off, and then you won't come near me when I say I'm sorry? What is with you?" You yelled out, but nothing could stop the man as he ducked his head out of the door and set off to close the airlock behind himself.
"I'm confused, what did I do?" You cried out as you spun around, seeking answers, but Max only chuckled at you as he took his glasses off to wipe them on his lab coat.
"He's not mad, he said he has to go hunting for you, it's a Na'vi courting ritual, they bring you as much as they think you're worth in food", he acted as if this was a regular thing to say while you just shook your head in bemusement.
"He realizes I probably can't eat half the stuff out there, right?" You craned your neck to see the young man had already turned tail and was nowhere to be found.
"We'll have to see because there is no doubt he's coming back for you."

A Warriors beating heart
Tumblr media
A/N: hey guys here's a little something nor is def one of my favorites and i think there not enough fics of him so hope you enjoy. pairing: Nor x fem!Sarentu reader
The warrior had disappeared from resistance , confused by anger working with the same kind  that once massacred their clan.  “What must our ancestors think of us? Do you think they pity us?….. sad to see what we’ve become.” He spoke facing out to the landscape, sharpening his spear as he sat surrounded by the bio luminescent forest. “ We are still Sarentu “ (Y/N) answered  crouching next to him, squeezing his shoulder. "Teylan barely speaks our tongue, …. but then he always preferred human words.” Nor looked up, with a deep sadness in his eyes. It became clear that Sarentu was struggling to come to terms with the fact that his life was still so reliant on humans.
“Alma says we all need time to adjust.” She countered,  "Alma is not Na’vi. " The warrior snapped back angrily.  She sighed softly, “ Why did the RDA come back?”  Nor paused his sharpening efforts, he could have sworn there was a hint of a defeat  in her  eyes. "They wanted more of Pandora.. They always do." he said softly.  “Then we'll need to fight.” A small smile formed on his face. He tossed his knife up and down.* "Fight we will, Ahari would have wanted us to fight."  “We’ll make sure the vrrtep don’t return again “
Nor was clearly comforted by this, with a new light sparking in his eyes as he nodded.
She gently grabbed his hand brushing her fingers across his knuckles . Nor was taken aback, but the expression on his face softened as his hand twined inside hers. She stayed silent simply caressing his knuckles There was a long moment of silence, before finally the Sarentu warrior wrapped her in his arms in a tight embrace.
She nuzzled into him tucking her head underneath his chin
Nor held her tightly, resting his chin on the top of her head. His grip was tight, however his hold on her was not harsh but soft. The warrior squeezed his eyes closed, not wanting to let go.
Now that they were free he could move on with his promise they could finally bond and become mates. Nor breathed in deeply, feeling every inch of her body pressed against his. He had been waiting a long time for this moment. The long hours of hiding, surviving and suffering were all worth it if only he had her by his side. He wrapped his arms even tighter around her.
He didn't want to let go,  He looked down at her and smiled, he finally felt like he had a purpose. His voice was quiet as he brushed his lips against her forehead "(Y/N)..."
She looked up at him
His expression was filled with love, as he brought his hands up to her face, lightly caressing her cheeks with his fingers.
"Ma yawntu"
Nor chuckled . He leaned in and pressed his forehead against hers. There was a long pause before the Sarentu finally asked the all important question he had been waiting for the right moment to ask. "Will you be my mate...?"
~ Weeks later ~
Over the weeks the Sarentu had been working with the resistance and Na’vi clans to fight back the RDA Nor had been training with So’lek and she had been learning from the Aranahe healers at the moment it was one of a calm day both of them had no training or missions.
A warm summer rain pounded against the small hut Nor built for them not far from the resistance base camp . He had his back turned to the door, working on sharpening a new spear.
The smell of cooked meat was in the air, and he took a deep breath, savoring the aromas. She was cooking a recent kill he had made. A warm hand pressed against his back and Nor looked up, a smile stretching across his lips when he saw a (Y/N)  leaning in the doorway. "Come Take a break  and eat " she reminded
He quickly put the spear down and stepped over, wrapping her in his arms and carefully caressed her sides.  "I cannot believe this is real." He gently placed his hand  on her hip.
She sighed softly kissing his cheek " it is real my tiyanw" His other hand rose and he gently brushed aside her hair. She nuzzled him Nor leaned over and pressed his lips to hers for a fleeting moment, a smile on his face as he lifted her up in his arms. "My woman is all I need in this world."
“You are sweet but don't think you're distracting me, I'm serious, take a break and come eat Nor” she scolded  "All right, all right." He chuckled softly before stepping over and sitting down next to their meal, grabbing a piece of meat and a large spoonful of vegetables, taking a bite. She sat happily next to him eating her own meal As they ate in silence a loud clap of thunder jolted the hut, making the table rattle. Within seconds, the rains were pouring down. It was as if the sky were unleashing its pent-up fury now that the warm season was finally here. Nor sat upright with his ears perked, taking in the sound of the heavy rain. (Y/N)  ears were folded back
He quickly reached over and placed a protective arm around his mate as she sat cowering. "Shh, shh, my love. There is nothing to fear. It is just a little rain." "Sorry..." she whispered out "It is okay, you have nothing to be afraid of anymore." He held her close, letting her wrap her arms around his neck.
"I am here, and I will always protect you." He said softly as he placed a gentle kiss on her forehead.
"It sounds like gunshots" she whispered out
"What did you say?" He asked in a confused voice as he sat up, holding her close and wrapping his arms around her."The thunder is sounds like gunshots " she repeated
The warrior froze once he realized what she meant. The sound of thunder had no doubt brought back vivid memories of the massacre all those years ago. "Ssh," he whispered.
"It is just a storm."
Nor felt her heart beat rapidly against his chest as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "Just close your eyes and listen to the rain , let that be your only worry right now."
"I-k-know. I know." Her breathing was fast and shallow as she struggled to keep from trembling.
The warrior's strong arm held her close, holding her tight. He brought her body even closer as he stroked her hair and placed his palm firmly on the top of the slight swell of her stomach. "Ssh, all will be alright, my love."

Do y’all think that Eywa has a physical avatar somewhere? Like a Godzilla type creature that awakens when humans fuck around too much and is indestructible to all known earth weaponry, so she just wrecks havoc on whatever they have built?
I was trying to imagine what she might look like, but in all honesty I believe she wouldn’t look like a Na’vi, or a thanator , or any known animal. She is all of those things at once. A network uniting ALL of Pandora, so all I can think of is this giant, titan of an organism that has many eyes and an undefinable shape. Something eldrich, that has been there before even the Na’vi, slumbering until the disruption of the balance, and the desperate cries of her children awakened her.
Imagine Spider, in RDA captivity, warning Ardmor or the recoms about her.
“She’ll awaken, see the world you have built…and she’ll destroy it.”
No one there believes the legend, but it gets to them, when they imagine an eldrich god in their nightmares, smothering their great cities in one stride.

Avatar Rant: Two Avatar takes that bother me
(Pssst! This was originally posted on reddit, but I liked it so much I decided to post it onto my this account! Here's a link to the original if you'd rather read it there!)
So, I saw a semi-viral tweet a while back that bothered me because it not only felt like a complete misunderstanding of the point of Avatar as a film franchise, but also just a very childish view of how societies and different communities function. I can't find it though (I didn't interact with it and it has since been buried) so I apologize for not being able to give the best context.
It was your typical RDA sympathizing humanity first take (makes sense, the account that tweeted it was a walking red flag) that claimed that the na'vi were stupid for not accepting human advancement and technology, that humanity should always put its preservation first, and that the RDA were simply prioritizing the well being of their people whilst the na'vi wanted them gone. I want to start by addressing the latter take(s).
The first and second movies make it very clear that the RDA are NOT prioritizing the survival of Earth or humanity. They are a money hungry organization that want to monetize pandoran resources to their dying people in hopes to squeeze out whatever little money they have left. The people of Earth are said to be protesting them for that very reason, every solution to their planet's problems that they have discovered is insanely expensive and inaccessible to anyone below the upper class one percent. The RDA don't care about humanity, they care about profit, which is the exact reason why their actions are so callous in the films.
There are certainly humans that want to preserve humanity, but I truly cannot wrap my head around how you can watch either film and come to the conclusion that it is the RDA that wants the best for humanity. Avatar is not a "human bad" movie, it is a "corporate greed bad" movie, which is reflective of real life environmental issues. The individual is green, the individual recycles and doesn't litter, the individual cleans their local rivers and sea shores. However, the powerplants continue to polute our air, the corporations continue to flood our oceans with plastic, the rich continue to cut corners and burn the air with private jets.
I truly believe the reading of Avatar as an anti-humanity movie is what has lead to people thinking the RDA are the "good guys". It is because they actually believe the RDA are supposed to represent humanity and their will to keep surviving (and that James Cameron is portraying them as wrong for that), when it is clear they are a representation of the corporate greed that leads to environmental damage and the destruction of humanity.
As for the belief that the na'vi are hostile and somehow wrong for not caring to "advance" in the way humanity did, that is just flat out wrong. When it came to the respectful, peaceful humans such as Grace and her team, the na'vi were incredibly welcoming. I mean, Grace built an entire school for them and taught them human language and other human academics, so clearly they aren't against learning from humans. Again, Avatar is clear about the fact that humans as a collective aren't bad, corporate greed is.
However, why should the na'vi "advance" when there is no need to? Innovation is built on the back of necessity, and in a world where there is no need for certain technological advancements, why should the na'vi chase it? Why do they need phones and tablets and video games and McDonalds? They are living just fine without it. This idea that every society needs to be "modernized", even when they function just fine without said modernization has always driven me up a wall.
This entitlement from the western world is what leads colonial brained weirdos to try and go to indigenous islands and force religion or their world view upon them, because they believe that if a society doesn't function like the "modern" world, it is wrong. The na'vi don't need currency, or modern tech, or modern trends or fast food. They aren't perfect, but they also aren't in a desperate situation that would call for innovation or some sort of technological evolution. They are fine, they don't need nor even want it, and it is strange to believe humanity is in their right to force it upon them.
I'll stop this here because it's getting too long, I would love to hear your thoughts. Last time I made a post in this vein I got some really interesting responses, I couldn't reply to all but I'll try and reblog if that means anything!

Ma Miles - Ch. 1
Tumblr media
1.4k words
Masterpost | Chapter 2
Looking up at the bright sunny skies, you thanked the Great Mother for the peace that now lay over your new home. It had been so difficult leaving the Hometree behind, watching it burn and scream for help that could not be given by any of you. You had done what you could for the wounded, helped send the dead back to Eywa and when the dust settled, Jake Sully - Toruk Makto - emerged with Neytiri as the new leader of the Omaticaya clan. When they welcomed their first child, however, everything changed for the better. Neteyamur had been such a well-behaved child, so calm, so kind. The wise women of your clan often liked to comment on how Eywa had blessed the young boy, and how she flowed through his veins. They made a beautiful family, the boy bringing Neytiri joy in every sense of the word.
Your lives were finally getting back to a semblance of what it once had been. Although the RDA still built their machines, mining away where your Hometree once stood, a relative peace had wrapped itself over your new home. Jake was a good leader to the Omaticaya, bringing victory and pride to your clan when the sky people tried to get closer. The few sky people that were left, guarded by the dreamwalkers, helped in every way possible while doing their peaceful research in tune with Eywa. How they could be the same species was beyond you.
With no great value to your clan, you were - among others - tasked with helping the sky people and their dreamwalkers to the best of your ability. The small people were kind, although…different than what you had pictured them to be. Most were just in awe over the Great Mother’s abilities, registering her energies, and noting how everything connected, content to do their work to better understand the blessing that Pandora had received for Eywa. The dreamwalkers tried their best to rectify what their sky people had done to the Great Mother, working hard to rebuild and mend what was broken.
But among those who stayed, a small child was left, orphaned by the tragedies of war. His mother killed in the assault on the Tree of Souls, and his father… the very demon who led the assault - Colonel Miles Quaritch. Born before Neteyam, Miles Socorro was too young to undergo the journey back to his home, although you had always argued that Pandora was his home. Eywa had granted him life, had welcomed the little boy to grow among her children, and so he did. Enamored with the little, odd child you were never far from each other and when the sky people who took him in gave up, you were the only constant left in his life.
With the nickname Spider, he grew to be a big boy full of joy and curiosity for Eywa and her children. And although you were alerted when he first started calling you mom, the title brought nothing but love and adoration now, something the young boy knew to exploit whenever Lo’ak managed to drag him into trouble. You never stopped worrying when he wasn’t around, but your son was all too quickly growing into an adult. Letting go was a part of motherhood and one you would have to accept to let your son find his own path along Eywa. Luckily he was attached at the hip to Kiri, the brightest of the Sully children. She would always manage to talk sense to him, even if Lo’ak tried his hardest to persuade him otherwise.
Chuckling to yourself, you bent to collect the last of the dew drops from a floating rock. Although your work wasn’t considered important, you liked helping the sky people collect their samples which in turn made them wonder in awe of the Great Mother’s reach. Getting back on your Ikran, you lazily flew back to the campsite, taking the time to caress his long neck, smiling to yourself as he purred loudly.
But before you could walk into the research area to deliver your work, you were stopped dead in your tracks. The moment you saw Jake Sully you knew that something was wrong. He looked worried, tired, and bruised.
“Jake?” You ask carefully, your ears lowering nervously.
When Neytiri walks up behind him, avoiding eye contact with you, your heart starts beating loudly in your chest. Something was very wrong for the both of them to come to find you while you worked.
“Where’s Spider?” Your voice doesn’t sound right to your own ears, the tone wrong.
“Y/n, I’m so sorry,” Jake starts and Neytiri finally looks you in the eyes.
“The children were playing down at the old shack when Lo’ak called me,” Jake starts, his own ears folding backward as his throat struggles to swallow, “A group of RDA avatars - recombinants - were there and they were caught,”
“What are you saying, Toruk Makto?” You ask gently, your ears lifting hopefully.
“When we arrived, they were waiting for us and a battle began. In the chaos, we got separated, and… Y/n, they took Spider,” You can hear Jake Sully’s words, you can understand what he’s saying, but at the same time, nothing makes sense to you.
“The children…” You mumble, not sure what to say as you let it all sink in.
“Kiri, Lo’ak, and Tuk are safe,” Jake offers gently before continuing, “Spider is a tough kid, Y/n, he will be alright,”
Snapping your eyes to your Toruk Makto, you narrow them dangerously as your tail whips furiously behind you. ‘He would be alright,’ My son is out there, alone, and he will be alright. The anger you feel is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before and it’s directed at the clan leaders. You haven’t noticed the crowd slowly gathering around you, nor heard their whispers as you try to make sense of everything. Your Ikran screams somewhere behind you, but you can’t turn your eyes away from the couple in front of you.
“You left my son to be taken,” The sheer venom that filters through your hiss tastes vile as you growl them.
“We tried to save him, Y/n, but in the chaos, he got away from us,” Jake tries, he really does, but the words sound hollow to your bleeding heart.
“You are Toruk Makto, you are supposed to protect your people, our children,” You scream at him, your voice so loud it makes your own ears ring uncomfortably.
“He is not of us,” Neytiri hisses back, ears flat as she protects her mate, hissing angrily when Jake hums disapprovingly at her.
"You do not speak of him like that," You hiss dangerously as you point to Neytiri, "You have always thought him unworthy because of who his father is, but he is a child of Eywa - my child, and you just left him to be taken,"
Neytiri doesn’t have anything to say to that, her mate trying to calm her down as he gently holds her arm. You can’t stand to hear their excuses any longer. Your son needs you and he’s out there alone somewhere. Turning away from your clan leaders, you quickly make your way to your home, not turning when Jake runs after you, weak protests falling from his lips. He doesn’t dare to enter your home, however, silently standing on the outside, watching as you gather a few essentials, Spider’s songcord, and your weapon.
“Who?” You sneer at him before passing on your way back to your waiting Ikran.
“Y/n, I don’t think that -”
“Who!?” You shout this time, snapping your head around to level your Toruk Makto with the darkest glare you have in you.
“Colonel Miles Quaritch, Spider’s father. He's back to life as a recombinant Na’vi…”
Freezing at the words you just heard, it takes a moment for your body to let go of the immediate fear you’re experiencing. You never thought you would hear that name like this. One day, you had prepared yourself to have the talk with Spider about who his father really was, but Spider never asked and you never offered more than everyone already knew. Hearing that the demon from the skies was back to life, and in a Na’vi body nonetheless, made something sink deep inside of you.
At least you knew where to look now.

Your naked body was situated upon his clothed lap, your hands cupping the back of his bare neck and your lips sealed to his as his tongue danced with yours. His large, blue hands were gripping the curve of your buttocks firmly, moving you leisurely back and forth over his thigh as he wanted, listening to you whimper and moan from the stimulation of rubbing your bare cunt over the rough material of his workout trousers stretched taught over his muscular thigh. Lyle pulled back with a chuckle and then bounced his leg, making you release a whine before you shuddered in pleasure.
The funny thing was that had you been asked an hour ago if you’d ever thought you’d be in this situation, you’d have said no.
You were a human soldier working for the RDA and had been off duty so you’d decided to go to the gym to make sure you didn’t allow yourself to go soft, what with the lower gravity, if you ever got rotated back to Earth (you hoped you didn’t because there really wasn’t anything back there for you). Wearing a tank top over your sports bra and some knee-length leggings in your favorite color, you’d gone for using the human-sized treadmill first to warm yourself up, blasting your music in your headphones to get yourself pumped up.
Across the way, on the more Na’vi/Avatar-sized side of the gym, was one of the recombinants – Lyle… Wainfleet, you thought his name was; like you’d come to know of his routine, he was lifting weights and he was shirtless, letting all those lean blue muscles of his torso and abdominals out on display, shimmering with a light sheen of sweat. Normally, it took a lot more to get you hot and bothered but there was just… something… about this particular recombinant that just did it for more easily than any human man had attracted you ever before. Maybe it was that humorous smirk he always seemed to wear when you saw him and the jokes, he always seemed to rattle off that had you fighting off a smile. Maybe it was seeing all those beautiful stripes, especially all over his scalp leaving his braided neural queue as a striking focal point amongst all that built sapphire muscle or the several tattoos decorating his skin. Either way, you always found your eyes drawing towards him whenever he was around.
And if the sudden current grin adorning his lips was anything to go by, he knew you were staring right now, too.
Until he looked up at you and stuck his tongue out, bracketing it with his index and middle fingers suggestively.
You stumbled upon the treadmill, ducking your face away from him as you cunt clenched in want and quickly spread your feet to stand on the side rails before you made an idiot of yourself and faceplanted on the machine and possibly bloody up your face. You cringed at your slight blunder and decided to try to slink away, turning off the treadmill as quickly as it would let you.
Only to nearly run into a blue wall of muscle.
You quickly took out your earbuds, craning your neck to see Lyle peering down at you with a wide smile. He laughed, “Aw, don’t hide yourself, baby. I like it when you stare at me. Makes me feel all tingly.”
You flushed and shook your head in amusement. “Sure you don’t need a medic for that?” you shot back teasingly, stepping around his body with a full body shiver as you noticed his hip bones peeking out at you from the waist of his trousers. You licked your lips, eyes lifting back up to his golden gaze as you added jokingly, “Might wanna get checked for a rash or oozing or something.” Only to yelp as his tail swatted at your backside in retaliation. “Excuse you, sir.” Lyle groaned, “Yeah, that does it for me, doll. C’mere.” You squeaked as Lyle scooped you up into his arms before he sat on a nearby bench, depositing you onto his lap, your legs straddling his thighs. You bit down on your lower lip and grinned up at him, enjoying the feel of his huge hands settling upon your hips rather possessively.
“Hi,” you murmured.
“Hi, baby,” Lyle replied, wiggling his eyebrows. “So… I don’t know if you realize this but I am really into you. Want to help me break my new in?” You raised your brows at his offer and bit down on your lower lip harder before you replied, “So, uh… I’m interested in this offer but, uh, it’s been a while. Before you fuck me, you’re gonna have to prep and stretch me first before I’ll be able to take something at least twice the size of a human.” He hissed as you palmed the front of his sweat pants, feeling his cock hardening in anticipation. “Think you’re up to the challenge, sir?”
The recombinant smirked, replying enthusiastically, “Yes, ma’am. Thank you, ma’am.” Lyle quickly lifted you off his lap like you were nothing more than the weight of a feather – and he was almost twice your size so maybe you were comparable to a feather to his strong muscles – and stripped you eagerly, right there in the middle of the gym before laying you down onto one of the benches and lifting your legs to rest upon one of his shoulders so he could kneel in front of you. Quickly sliding his sweat pants down, he pulled out his hard cock and stroked himself as he took in your naked body with a beaming grin. “God, you’re so fucking hot,” he purred, his tail and ears twitching in building arousal. He quickly bent down and kissed you hungrily, gripping your backside and sliding his cock between your thighs. You reached out and cupped the back of his tattooed neck as your tongue battled his, moaning as he squeezed your ass and thrust his length up against your sopping entrance to increase your excitement. “Fuck, baby. You’re getting so wet for me, ain’t ya?”
You nodded, your breath coming in stuttered gasps as you begged, “Yes. Oh… god… Feels so good. More, please.”
Lyle bit down lightly on your shoulder and moved faster between your squished thighs. “Yeah, baby,” he grunted against your skin. “Keep moving… just like that. Make a mess all over me when you cum.” You shivered and whined, speeding up your movements as the coil in your belly tightened. “That’s it,” Lyle purred, his tail wrapping around your calf, his fingers digging into your ass. “That’s my girl. Cum for me baby. I want you to soak my pants.”
In retaliation, you reached out and tugged on his neural queue when it dropped over his shoulder, making him cry out and grind up against your clit harder, cum splashing over your belly and tits in glowing blue goop. “Fuck, Lyle,” you whined, your slick trickling out of your cunt as you hit your peak, saturating his cock and his clothing.
The recombinant laughed breathlessly.
“Damn, baby, I feel like a virgin again,” he joked.
You met his grin with your own replying, “I mean… technically you kinda are. Wanna go change that?”

Tumblr media
Word Count: 5.1K Paring: Avatar!Jake Sully x Fem!Human!Reader, Human!Jake Sully x Fem!Human!Reader Prompt @kinktober2023: Macro/Micro WARNINGS: SMUT 18+ (minors DNI), oral sex (male and female receiving), significant size difference, interspecies sex, fingering, p-in-v sex
Summary: Jake Sully and (Y/N) came to Pandora in the ISV Venture Star as part of the same research team. From an early stage, the pair got on well, and everyone could see that. But there were certain proclivities that they reserved for each other.
A/N:  your eyes do not deceive you, I am taking on the Kinktober challenge for the very first time. First off the bat, I will probably not post it consistently but I will finish it even if it takes me until the end of the year. Second, they're gonna be Fem!Reader just because it is easiest for me to write (and I'm sorta being selfish with my first Kinktober). Also, I will post on my original schedule as well even if it kills me. Hope y'all enjoy this as much as I'm enjoying writing it!🤭🤭 Sorry not sorry for this shitshow 🫣🫣

Working in Pandora was everything (Y/N) had dreamed of since she was a little girl. Her parents had been members of the RDA research team and had brought up inside her a love for the alien planet and its inhabitants. Especially its inhabitants.
From a young age, she had studied the foreign creatures. Their blue skin, their pointy ears, their swishing tails, and their massive height. She imagined what it would be like to be in their bodies. To have a connection to her Mother Earth as they did. What it would be like to live amongst the wonders of that planet.
Because of her proclivities as a child, it came as no surprise that the girl trained her entire life to join the RDA’s Avatar program. (Y/N) was the youngest of the group. Her intelligence and wit propelled her forward quickly and with few obstacles in her career, and she joined the pioneer program as a scientist first and an Avatar driver second.
It was the day they were meant to be put into cryosleep that (Y/N) saw one Jake Sully for the first time. He had rolled into the port with a sour look on his face, as though he was unsure why he was there. But she knew. Everyone in their research team did.
Losing his twin brother, Tom, had been a devastation like no other for their small team. And when an identical copy of him had come in his place, it had sent them reeling. She had listened to Norm Spellman drone on and on about how unfair it was that Jake was allowed to join the team with no scientific experience and even less training with an Avatar. But the military had dug its claws into their work, and there was nothing they could do. If Jake hadn’t come, Tommy’s Avatar would have been forever condemned to a conservation tank. A body with no soul to wield it.
She smiled at him from afar, gifting him with a small wave as Norm stood scowling beside her. She had no qualms about the man and felt no need to treat him with any disdain. Though she had to admit, the uncanny resemblance to their friend was rather eerie. The brothers might have looked the same, yet they certainly were not the same. But it would take six years for (Y/N) to come to any conclusions about Jake.
When they awoke from cryosleep years later, (Y/N) had been the one to calm Jake during their first Avatar run. Unable to control the massive body of the creature, he stumbled in the exam room as the doctors tried to check his vitals. With his returned ability to walk, the excitement had built inside him, and there was no way he could stay still.
Norm had run behind Jake as he emerged into Pandora, but he struggled on his feet as he wielded the new shape. (Y/N), on the other hand, had taken full control of her Avatar. She heard the commotion from the other room and went to follow it, finding a blue Jake in a hospital gown running into the courtyard.
Where Norm failed, (Y/N) succeeded, catching up to the man as his feet dug into the cold Pandorian soil. “Hey, Jake!” she called. “Someone’s excited, huh?”
“You can say that again,” he chuckled, turning toward her. “You’re (Y/N), right? I saw you when we boarded the ship.”
“The one and only,” she smiled before taking hold of a Spartan fruit and throwing it in his direction. “Think fast!”
Jake caught the purple fruit easily, biting into it and staring surprisedly as it burst all over his face. She joined his side, taking a fruit for herself.
“This is delicious,” he sighed pleasurably. “I didn’t know it would be this good.”
“There’s a lot of things you don’t know about, Jake Sully,” (Y/N) smiled. “Thankfully, you have an amazing team behind you that will help you learn about this amazing world.”
“And will you be there to help?”
“Well, I am in your research team, so that would be a yes.”
“How lucky am I?” Jake said, a playful grin splayed across his face. “Well, if your tutoring sessions are as good as you are beautiful, I think I might become an expert in no time.”
“What a charmer,” she chuckled. “But you should know that I am known to be quite a ruthless teacher. I am a bit rough when it comes to teaching about this planet.”
“I never expected you to be,” he responded before leaning into her. “And I like it rough.”
In the coming weeks, Jake and (Y/N) grew closer, both as Avatars and as humans. When they were on break, one would not be seen without the other. They had become inseparable, and no one at the base could deny the intense chemistry that flowed between them. And within the confines of the link station in Site 26, it was undeniable that something was brewing between them. No one could deny it. Not even them.
What had become almost impossible was acting upon their desires when their duties took up so much of their time. While Jake gained the trust of the Omatikaya people, (Y/N) would busy herself with her scavenging and her lab tests. And when one was inhabiting their Avatar, the other was back in their human body.
But that would prove to not be much of a problem.
(Y/N)’s fascination with the Na’vi went farther than she would ever admit out loud. It had started innocently enough. A simple curiosity about the alien creatures that populated the planet her parents studied. But as she grew, her curiosity seemed to transform into something… less than innocent.
There was something about their gigantic bodies compared to the smallness of her human one that sparked something inside her that she could not extinguish. In the late hours of the night, before anyone had connected with their Avatars, (Y/N) would spend hours upon hours inspecting their bodies inside their conservation tanks.
Tom’s Avatar–now Jake’s– was a favorite of hers to stare at. She studied every curve and line of his muscles, the valley of his blue skin, the stretch of his body, the plumpness of his lips, and the size of his member. The first time she had seen it, it had made her mouth water and her heart flutter. There was something about the way the blue body almost doubled her in size that set off a fire inside her. She wanted to know what it would feel like for those long arms to wrap around her, how he could probably pick her up with just one arm, how he could probably stretch her out more than any man could ever do.
When the thoughts had popped into her head, they had startled her. They made her feel as though there was something wrong with her. Not only was she thinking of a creature that was massive in comparison to her, but she was thinking about interspecies relations. Because her fantasies didn’t involve her Avatar. No. Her mind created images of her small human body and the blue people of Pandora.
What she didn’t know was that she was not the only one plagued with those thoughts. When Jake had first seen (Y/N) while in his Avatar body, something had stirred deep within him. It had taken everything inside him not to make a move on her. She looked so small that he knew he could if he really wanted to. Jake could feel warmth traveling between his legs, pressing onto the fabric of his clothing as his cock hardened.
But neither one acted upon their desires. Each thought themselves to be depraved and slightly sexually repressed, and believed that even talking about those fantasies was bad enough. And there was no way they could do anything with Grace and Norm always around. They both believed they’d be burdened with their thoughts for the rest of time.
As luck would have it, or rather as Eywa had allowed in her divine timing, a day came were only (Y/N) was left in the link pod. She had been tasked with labeling samples and documenting findings while Grace and Norm scavenged the forest as humans –claiming they needed to give their bodies a nice stretch. She had been focused on her work, engrossed in paper after paper, slide after slide. It had been what she had come to Pandora to do, but she couldn’t help but feel a little jealous that she wasn’t the one amongst the Omatikaya.
She was so engrossed in her work that she didn’t notice when the nine-foot blue Na’vi walked into the too-small-for-him shack. It wasn’t until he knocked over their breakfast plates from the counter that she turned to find the man standing inside.
“May I ask what gave you the brilliant idea to get in here with that body?”
“I needed to see you,” Jake responded rather breathlessly. “I thought it was big enough for me to fit.”
“Your body is literally less than ten feet away from me in the pod, Jake,” she chuckled. “All you had to do was wake up.”
“I-I… I couldn’t.”
“What do you mean?” (Y/N) worried. There was a slight desperation in Jake’s voice, accompanied by a glaze in his eyes that concerned her. “Is everything alright?”
“I need you, (Y/N),” he blurted as he took tentative steps toward her, careful to mind his head.
“What do you need from me, Jake? Are you feeling okay? Are you hurt?”
“That’s not what I meant,” he responded. His tone got darker, laced with something she couldn’t quite pinpoint. “I need you.”
As he essentially growled those words, (Y/N) eyes examined his body for any sign that he could have been wounded in any way. The word, “Oh?” escaped her mouth barely above a whisper as she tried to understand where Jake was coming from. His head seemed fine. So did his arms and his torso. It was when her gaze fell on the space between his thighs that was covered with the brown loincloth that she finally understood what it was that he needed.
“Oh,” she said louder. The fabric that covered him was tighter than usual, tented by something thick and hard that was being held back by the covering. “You’re… I don’t… how am I supposed to help you with that, Jake?”
“I’ve tried to make it go away, but it honestly just keeps getting worse. I feel like my entire body is on fire.”
“I think you might be in rut, Jake.”
“What is that?”
“In heat,” she said, slightly embarrassed at the words. “It means that your body is going through a stage where it wants to find a mate and breed.”
“And how long is it supposed to last?”
“It could last from one to four days, but I can’t be too certain about it. It’s not a well-researched topic,” (Y/N) explained. “What I could suggest is that you find somewhere to ride this out. Possibly a very cold river. Or you could find someone to ride it out with at the village. I know the Omatikaya value their vows and loyalty, but I’m sure a guy like you could persuade anyone.”
“But I don’t want anyone back in the village. In fact, I have just the person in mind.” (Y/N) couldn’t help but not the darkness that now clouded Jake’s eyes. The yellow irises were trained on her, looking her up and down as though they could see through her clothing. “All I need to know is if she wants it right back.”
She was dumbfounded. Completely perplexed at his words. He couldn’t have been asking what she thought he was. If he was, (Y/N) was sure she was dreaming. “Jake, I… I can’t help you right now. It’s almost impossible,” she stammered before remaining quiet for a moment. “I could hop on my link pod and help you out that way if you don’t mind waiting.”
“I don’t think you’re understanding me, (Y/N),” he growled. Jake had closed the space between them now, and he towered over her even in his hunched position. “I don’t want your Avatar. I want you.”
(Y/N) stumbled backward, her back hitting the desk as she tried to put some distance between them. Jake was simply acting on a lust-fueled brain. He wasn’t thinking clearly. And as much as she wanted what he was asking for, she wouldn’t let him regret it later. “Look, Jake. I don’t think you’re thinking clearly right now,” she chuckled awkwardly. “You probably woke up alone, and your head brought you unconsciously here. Why don’t you just go back to sleep and unlink? It might help you cool down a bit.”
“I know you want this too, (Y/N),” he whispered. “I can smell it on you.”
At those words, the woman clenched her thighs together. Her body reactions were something she could not deny, and his keen senses had picked up on it. Her breathing became staggered and her chest heaved as she felt the warmth of Jake’s body so close to her it was almost as though they were touching.
“I know you want to try this,” Jake said. “I used to watch you back at Hell’s Gate. The night before we finally linked, you were staring at this very body you see before you. Your skin was flushed, and you were heaving–kind of like you are now. Then, when you went back to your room, I heard you. The RDA might have a lot of funding, but they definitely did not invest it in thick walls.”
“I wasn’t…”
“But you were, (Y/N),” he grinned devilishly. “I heard every single sound that escaped from your mouth that night. And I’m pretty sure I know exactly what you were imagining.”
“Oh, yeah?” she said, feeling slightly bold. “What was it then?”
“This very cock,” he responded as he palmed the hardened bulge between his legs. “Buried deep inside your human body.”
Her breath got hitched in her throat, tightening her windpipe as Jake worded everything that was running through her head.  “W-what’re you s-saying?” she stammered. “How could you know any of that?”
“Well, other than the way your body is reacting right now,” he grinned, revealing his razor-sharp fangs. “And because I’ve been dreaming of the same thing.”
“Jake,” she gasped.
“And if I had known you were thinking of this too, I would have jumped at the opportunity the very first time,” he growled. “Now, come here.”
(Y/N) didn’t know what had taken her over, but she walked toward Jake’s Avatar. He was kneeling on the ground, sitting on his ankles, his legs spread far enough for her to fit between them. Her hands ran across his exposed chest, taking the dagger sling that was draped around him off. She trailed the features of his face with her fingers, drinking in the closeness she could not get when the body was in the tank. She traced the eyebrows above his yellow eyes, the wideness of the bridge of his nose, the curve of his lips, the white spotted freckles, and played with the braids that fell on his face.”
“You having fun there?” Jake chuckled, bringing her attention back to the moment. “As much as I’m enjoying your little curiosity delineation, I don’t know how that helps my little problem down there.”
“It’s not little,” she breathed. “Really not little.”
“And what are you gonna do about it?” he said, placing a finger under her chin to fix her gaze on him. A finger so big it looked like a hand cradling her face. “Because I have a few ideas of what you could do.”
“And what are they?”
“I want you to say what you would do.”
“I-I can’t,” (Y/N) muttered as embarrassment surged through her. She was certainly not inexperienced, but there was something about saying out loud what she had kept to herself for so long that made her close up. “It’s embarrassing.”
“You know what’s embarrassing? Running through the forest in this loincloth with a painful hard-on just so I could get to you,” he playfully growled. “Now. Tell me, what do you want?”
(Y/N) took a steadying breath before staring directly into Jake’s eyes and saying, “I want to rip that loincloth off your body and take what I can of you in my mouth and wrap my hands around your cock. Even if I can’t take you in completely, I will make sure no part remains untouched. And I want your mouth on my clit as you stretch me out with your fingers, prepping me to fit you inside.”
“Good girl,” he purred. “Now come here.”
Jake crashed his lips onto hers as best as he could, one of his hands wrapping around her waist to pull her closer. He was the first to moan into the kiss, the need inside him taking over and growing. The touch felt like fire, a burning desire that he wanted to feed, and she was just the accelerant he needed.
She was sweet and warm against him, and all he wanted to do was to learn how she felt everywhere else. Her smell was already intoxicating, and he needed to know just how addicting every other part of her would be.
“Lay down,” she instructed with a smile as she finally broke the kiss, skin flushed and lips red. “Careful you don’t bump into your own link pod. Might make this experience a bit different.”
“I’m just glad the hall is big enough for me,” he chuckled. “Wouldn’t want this to be interrupted by an oxygen machine.”
“Then let’s stop wasting time before you’re the one that might need a swig of CO2 to survive.”
“You’re the one with layers on, baby,” Jake grinned, slipping off the white lab coat that covered her. “If anyone is wasting time, it’s you.”
(Y/N) could only chuckle as she slipped off her t-shirt before shimmying out of her jeans, leaving her in a sports bra and a pair of cotton panties. She wished she had been wearing something sexier, maybe something that matched. But she knew it didn’t really matter. They wouldn’t be on for much longer. Jake made sure of that. With a quick stretch of his arm, both pieces of fabric were ripped off her body, exposing every inch of skin to him.
“You know, I don’t have much underwear here.”
“That’s fine. I don’t plan on letting you need it.”
He kissed her again, trying his best to convey all of his want through their lips. But he wanted more. He wanted her warmth around him, he wanted to stretch her in ways she had never imagined, he wanted to fill her with his seed. Even if he had no idea what could happen after.
But (Y/N) was the first one to move. She turned away from him and crawled down his massive torso, her eyes deadset on the painfully hard bulge that was being held back by the tight piece of fabric. Slowly, she undid the ties that held the loincloth together, slipping it off his body as she had done his sling. Only this time, a small gasp left her throat as his cock was finally released.
Jake’s erection flopped onto his stomach, beads of precum glistening on his purple-pink head. As she stared, his length twitched, and she couldn’t help but admire the specimen before her. Her scientific curiosity would always win. She got as close as possible without touching it, examining the veins, the stiffness, the length, the girth, and the shining tip that beckoned her closer.
“Please,” she heard Jake whimper. “Please.”
It was all he needed to say for (Y/N) to take hold of his cock with both of her hands and give him a tentative lick. She chuckled as he shuddered at her touch, reveling in the reactions she pulled from him. But what surprised her wasn’t his sounds. It was how easy it was to fit the tip of his cock in her mouth. (Y/N) thought she’d receive more fight from her body as she took his size, but it was almost as though she was made for him.
Unfortunately, though, her mouth was only big enough to take some of him in, but she gladly made up for it with her hands. She established a steady rhythm quickly, treading close to the line of his edge. (Y/N) took him as far as he could, hollowing her cheeks as she bobbed her head and using the mixture of her saliva and his own precum to aid her hands on the rest of his shaft.
What she had not expected was Jake’s hands holding her hips and sinking his mouth into her cunt. He did just as she had told him, working his tongue expertly across that needy bundle of nerves. Jake swirled and sucked, moaning as her taste flooded his tongue. And she would have been grateful for just that touch, until she felt one of his fingers enter her.
“Oh, fuck,” (Y/N) slurred out, releasing Jake for a second. “It feels so fucking good.”
“That’s just one finger, baby,” he chuckled. “I’m gonna need you to hold on for more.”
“Then, hurry,” she whined. “I want the real thing inside me already.”
With another hearty chuckle, Jake set off to work. He pumped his finger into her, listening to her sounds as a guideline. Once he felt her stretched enough, he slipped another digit, earning him her first orgasm. Her walls clenched around the two fingers, her throat accompanying the flutter with a string of beautiful pleasurable moans. A beautiful song that made Jake’s ears twitch.
As the Avatar continued to work, (Y/N) grew sloppier in her ministrations. Her entire concentration had shifted to the intense burning between her legs as Jake stretched her more and more, adding yet another of his large fingers as he lapped at the sensitive bud just above her entrance. It was as though her body had skipped the uncomfortable stage and had delved directly into the mind-numbing satisfaction.
“Jake,” she moaned. “Jake, I need you inside.”
“Not yet,” he muttered against her. “Fuck, you taste so good.”
Jake was entranced with her body. Worshiping the smaller figure before him. If Eywa decided to take him right there and then, he would have died a satisfied man. But it was her turn to beg for more. “Jake, please,” she said. “I want to cum around you.”
And who was he to deny her pleading? With another gusto-filled lick to her core, Jake removed his fingers, watching as (Y/N) walked toward him. But the gasp that came from her mouth as he took his fingers into his mouth and savored her once more was what brought a shit-eating grin onto his face. He wanted to have that memory tattooed into his brain for the rest of his life. The way her body glimmered with sweat, the way her chest heaved as she tried to steady her breathing, the way her eyes had darkened with lust as she drank the sight of him.
“Take it slow,” he commanded as the woman positioned herself right above his cock. With one hand, she grabbed his length, holding it just below her entrance. With the other, she kept her balance as she pressed it against his toned chest. “Don’t overexert yourself.”
“I don’t know how much slower I can take it,” she teased. “We’ve already waited two months to do this when we could have been doing it the entire time.”
“I’m pretty sure we would have been in a lot of trouble if someone had caught us. It must be against some type of rule.”
“Since when do you care about the rules?”
“I don’t,” Jake cockily grinned. “That’s why we’re fucking right now.”
“We’re not fucking yet.” She took the moment he laughed to finally sink her body onto the giant’s cock, slowly inching down as far as her body could take him. (Y/N) felt something inside her burst, filling her with an overwhelming euphoria that she didn’t know how she had ever orgasmed with another man before. “Now we’re fucking.”
“You’re so fucking tight, baby,” Jake moaned. “Does it hurt?”
“No,” she said breathlessly. “It feels amazing!”
“If you keep squeezing me like that, I’m not gonna last long, (Y/N).”
“I can’t help it,” she moaned as she felt comfortable enough to slowly bounce on his lap. “It just feels too good.”
“I wanna make this moment last, baby,” he purred against her ear as he tried to delay his finish. “Fuck… you gotta go slower.”
“I really can’t, Jake,” (Y/N) moaned, moving her hips faster and faster as she felt warmth pooling deep inside her. “And we don’t have much time left. Grace and Norm will be back any… fuck… any minute.”
“Damn it,” the man cursed. “You’re gonna make me look like a high school boy blowing too early.”
“Luckily, I won’t have anyone to tell,” she teased. “But don’t worry, I’ll know I never gave you a chance.”
Her pace was punishing now. It didn’t even allow Jake to join in the movements, his entire mind concentrating on making the moment last as long as possible. But the attack on her part was calculated and brutal, searching for their mutual ends as quickly as she could.
(Y/N)’s hips moved on her own, raising and falling from what she could take of his cock, her mind focused on the one thing he didn’t want just yet. She wanted to combust around him. Wanted to feel him come undone inside her. To, for just a second, have something of an aberration inside, to imagine that two completely different species could ever come together.
The more she moved, the more her insides squeezed the blue creature’s shaft. Every second that passed brought them closer and closer to the inevitable end.
“I’m close,” (Y/N) moaned. “Fuck, Jake, I’m so close.”
“I know, baby,” he groaned in response. “I’m close too.”
It wasn’t long until (Y/N) was screaming the man’s name and dropping onto his chest as her orgasm rippled through her body like it had never done before. And while she shook in the intensity, Jake brought it upon himself to search for his finish, plunging his hips as deep as he could into her until he felt his cock release everything he had inside of her, filling her until he could feel their essences dripping out of her.
“I wish we could have done this outside,” she muttered against him as she recovered her strength. His softening cock was still buried deep within her cunt as he softly rutted against her while riding out their orgasms. “It would have been such a completely different experience.”
“You’re right. But then, I couldn’t have done this,” he smiled as he kissed her lips tenderly, basking in the taste of her mouth. “And I would have died if I couldn’t have.”
“I would have too,” (Y/N) said, returning the smile and another chaste kiss. “I also wish we could stay like this forever. But you need to go, Jake.”
“A couple more minutes,” he groaned, letting his head fall back onto the metal floor. “I just wanna forget that the rest of the world exists for a couple of more minutes.”
With a chuckle, (Y/N) granted him that prayer. It was the only thing she could. She ran her fingers across his queue as his large fingers traced shapes against the skin of her back. And for those next few minutes, it truly felt like it was only them.
But all good things come to an end, and (Y/N) noticed the clock on the wall was at seventeen hundred hours and the two other scientists would be coming back any second. She scrambled to her feet, groaning as Jake exited her body, the stretch contracting slightly but still aching inside her.
“Go back to the village,” (Y/N) instructed as she cleaned them both up with a towel and dressed. “We’ll talk when you’re out of the pod, okay?”
“I’ll see you tonight, baby,” he smiled, giving her one last kiss before he left the far too cramped shack.
If Grace and Norm had found anything awry in there when they came back from their scavenging, they did not mention it. They went about the rest of their day, documenting their samples and writing their daily logs. The only time they seemed to talk to (Y/N) was during dinner time, but there wasn’t much she could say about her day. And, thankfully, they didn’t ask much, too exhausted from their day to stay awake for much longer. Once the younger scientist announced she’d wait up for Jake, the pair left for their respective beds to sleep the day away.
That night, when Jake finally opened his link pod, (Y/N) was waiting with a giant smile on her face. She waited until he was on his chair and rolled to the small dining table, where a plate of hot food was waiting for him.
“Hey, marine,” she smiled.
“Hey, yourself.”
“Thought you might be hungry,” (Y/N) chuckled. “I heard you had a busy day.”
“You heard that through the grapevine, huh?” Jake snickered. “I will admit, I had a very busy day.”
“Hm, the Omatikaya are working you harder than expected?”
“If only they had been the ones that took my time today,” he responded before motioning for her to sit on his lap. “But no, I spent the day with a very beautiful but small woman that blew my mind away. No pun intended.”
(Y/N) kissed him tenderly, making note of just how different it felt to kiss him as a human. “Well, you blew her mind away as well,” she smiled. “Pun intended.”
“You know, if we’d only talked about this, we could have done this so long ago,” he whispered, his forehead pressed against hers. “But at least we finally did.”
“We really did, huh?” she chuckled. “Now, all we have to do is check when’s the next time?”
“Insatiable, are we?”
“You don’t know the half of it.”

✷ author's note : I've recently just fell down the ao'nung rabbit hole and holy fuck am I enjoying myself so I decided to write an ao'nung fic to feed my delusions further! also, some italicised paragraphs are flashbacks, I didn't italicise some of the dialogue in between them since I had to give some of the words some emphasis.
part 1 of the SOLD OUT OF LOVE series
Tumblr media
Jake never took a strong liking to your mother when they were still humans, if Grace Augustine was snappy, foul-mouthed, and a know-it-all then your mother was somehow every derogatory word in the English language. Jake and her would lock horns almost everytime they spoke, and if you knew how much fights Grace and Jake got into you can double that number and then you'd have the rough estimate of Jake and your mother's daily rows.
But somehow despite all that, Jake knew what lengths he'd go to just to protect your mother, Bettina "Betty" Chacon, a xenoanthropologist who was sent to Pandora two decades after Grace to further study about the natives, the Na'vi, the environment around them, and the complexity of this symbiotic relationship between their God, Eywa.
Unlike Jake and a few selected others who were granted the permission by the RDA to have Avatar bodies, your mother chose to learn about the Natives the hard way, by exopack, even if Norm and Max built her one and was ready at her disposal, she still opted against using it and said she'd rather be caught dead than having to walk around the forest like skinless cookie monster.
After the Sky People had been defeated and Grace Augustine's demise, the humans left Pandora and were sent back to Earth. There were a few who stayed, loyal to the Na'vi like Norm, and Max, some who were too young to even travel in a cryochamber like Spider who was a curly haired devil zipping around camp, and your mother who couldn't travel back to Earth because she was carrying you.
She had fooled around after her Grace and her older sister Trudy's death, drank, slept with other scientists, soldiers, threw herself in her work, never slept, never ate, always drinking, drinking, drinking, because she feared of what may come when she finally stopped and stood still and let the feelings wash over her like she had been barricading the floodgates this entire time, fearing she wasn't strong enough and that the gates would break open and she'd be caught up in a maelstrom.
She'd finally singed her liver, was what Jake always said when he'd come home to Neytiri after spending an afternoon at the lab, checking up on Betty making sure she was taking care of herself and that he didn't have to skewer Max and Norm like a shish kebab as he thought he would. Alongside Neteyam his budding archer, Kiri his compassionate little girl, and he had to worry about an ex-alcoholic scientist friend of his with a baby on the way.
Still though, it was too quick. How she was just taking a shower and started seizing in the bathroom, how her brain started hemorrhaging as they placed her onto the operating table, her vitals worsening by the second. They were forced to deliver you, even if you weren't ready to come out yet. Jake barely made it, able to hear Betty's last words, how she was with Grace, with Eywa, to take care of you, and tell you to keep going even if the world tells you stand down, to never give a fuck about anyone who made you feel less of yourself, that you were Betty Chacon's kid, and nothing could ever change that.
With one last push your screams rang out, and your mother forever silenced.
Your mother never decided on a name, didn't even want to find out if you were a girl or a boy so Jake chose your name in her stead, Neytiri wasn't fond of it, so she took it upon herself to give you a better name, a Na'vi name. Funnily enough, the second time that day, for a few hours earlier she had given birth to a child as well, a boy, whom they named Lo'ak.
Despite that, you grew up in the lab with Norm, Max, and Spider who was just a couple years older than you and made sure you remembered it. Unlike Spider though, you get winded down easily, which is why he wins all the races, he couldn't even break a sweat from chasing you and tagging you, and in hide and seek you always get found first because he'd be finished counting and you'd still be looking for a place to hide.
"You're doing that on purpose" You called out, narrowing your eyes at your older sister, Kiri who kept sticking her ikran closer to yours. Your ikran Hína, squawking in indignation and swaying to the side.
"Doing what?" She wonders, almost clueless.
You click your tongue against the roof of your mouth. "You're drifting, if you piss off my ikran i'm going to chop your tail off"
She laughs at you. "I'd like to see you try, you skxawng"
Suddenly, Neteyam appears in between the both of you, your ikrans making way. "guys, respectfully, can you two shut up?"
You see Kiri rolling her eyes. "Go mind your own business, jack off"
This makes you snort, watching as Neteyam turns his head towards you. "Yeah, piss off posterboy"
He winces sardonically. "It's really hard not to, seeing as all I can hear from the front is you two yapping"
"We'll keep it down then" You compromised.
"Thank you " says Neteyam, shaking his head finally moving away leaving you and Kiri alone.
As a child it was infuriating to have everyone around you treat you like you were fragile cargo, they still kept on the baby proofing they installed since Spider was born, only doubling it when they realized how a little bruise could swell up and cause you unease and discomfort, if you started sniffling and coughing out of nowhere it meant 2 weeks rest and Neteyam, Kiri, Lo'ak, and Spider couldn't bring you outside, they made the most out of it though, you taught them how to play Uno, as three 6-feet tall tweens force themselves to fit inside your cube sized room.
Due to lack of sunlight your skin would start to turn sallow, you were lanky, every cut bled out abnormally fast, they tested you for hemophilia but when the tests came back you were in the all clear, no hemophilia, no leukemia, no anemia either. They didn't know what was wrong with you.
They traced it to your birth, since your fetus had been placed under a lot of stress from your mother's premature labour and her brain aneurysm it had a lasting effect on you.
You remember how when you were 8 though, you had all snuck out mere minutes before eclipse because Lo'ak and Spider kept bragging about this secret spot in the forest that had the coolest view of the Omaticayan village without having to climb up so high to be able to see it. When it had started to rain Neteyam warned everyone to turn back, realizing that it had already been their curfew and that Max and Norm might be sending out a search party to find you and that you could come visit it tomorrow, but you, who had just left the lab and experienced what rain felt like on your skin for the first time said no and told him to stop acting like a scaredy cat, to which the others were happy to jump on and called Neteyam a scaredy cat as well.
So you all trekked the forest in the dark, Lo'ak started pulling at people's tails and denying that it was him until you gave him a taste of his own medicine and pulled his tail which made him scream and start running away, Neteyam chased after him, so did Kiri, and Spider pulled you onto his back as you ran after them. After a while though, you couldn't hear their screeches anymore so Spider put you down and told you to stay put as he went to go and find them.
You waited and waited but when he didn't come back you decide to find them and you eventually did, all grinning and out of breath, Lo'ak decides to race everybody to the spot and everybody else began running after him, not that they wanted to beat him
Spider was tired at that point and told you that you two should just walk instead, but you take off, feeling the raindrops land on your head and back, the cold wind lapping up at your face as you followed the blurry figures of Neteyam and Kiri until Lo'ak jumped out from behind a tree and scared you, you had jumped in fear, giggling and turning around to scold him but you slipped, fell down, and cracked your skull open, rolling onto the rushing river, the last thing you could hear was Lo'ak screaming your name.
"Eywa, my tailbone is killing me" you whined, only loud enough so that Kiri could hear, but it seemed like her mind was elsewhere.
"I don't think it'll hurt for much longer" She replies, making your eyebrows knit together before you turn your head and finally see the Metkayina village growing larger and larger, more vivid, more detailed. The locals wasted no time in giving you a proper welcome, with spears drawn out and menacing looks.
"Tough crowd" you mutter to Lo'ak, who you felt walking up to you.
He scoffs in agreement. "Tell me about it, someone's gotta show these people how to loosen their collars a little" He comments, earning a little snigger from you.
You slap his arm. "Bro, look at that guy" You tell him, nodding at one of the warriors whose face morphed into a tight sort of enraged expression. Lo'ak sees it and laughs through his nose.
"He looks like he's about to pop a nerve"
"He looks like he's constipated"
The both of you snicker to yourselves again.
Your sprightly mood was short-lived when you spot two teenage boys making their way towards you, the next thing you knew they were laughing right behind you.
"What is that?" One of them says. "Is that supposed to be a tail?"
The taller one out of the two takes your tail in his hands, making you flinch and turn around. "Definitely not, how would you swim with it? Too small, too weak, might as well be a piece of fabric, maybe then it would have more use"
They laugh in unison, feeling your ears turn hot. Once they started walking away you flick your tail harshly against the taller one's backside, you hear him yelp and turn around, his aquamarine eyes narrowing to slits.
"Sorry," You make out, trying to stifle a smile. "It has a mind of its own sometimes"
You think you hear him hiss at you but you were too busy trying to avert Neytiri's sharp gaze to be sure, Lo'ak though, once the two Metkayina boys were out of earshot, started to snort, you clear your throat, an attempt at passing off the giggle that had fortuitously escaped your lips. You were sure Neytiri was a second away from pulling your ears back to the Omaticayan village when the Olo'eyktan arrived on his Tsurak, making his way through the crowd to greet Jake.
They exchange pleasantries, so did you and your siblings, placing your hand to your head and bringing it down to your stomach. The chief did not spare another second to get to the point, wondering why Toruk Makto was here in the Reef with his family.
"We seek Uturu" says Jake as a chorus of gasps went off.
"Uturu? " Ronal repeats in disbelief.
"A sanctuary, for my family" He says, eyeing Ronal as she took Neytiri's tail to further scrutinise it, then turning to Tuk. "Their arms are weak" she backs away from Ronal, scurrying to Jake in a panicked state.
She rounds on Kiri this time, observing her tail. "Their tails are weak," says Ronal, taking the older girl's tail into her hands making her cringe and swat Ronal's arm away. "You will be slow in the water"
Then she grabbed both of Kiri's hands, turning them so her palms faced upwards, ten fingers. "These children, are not even true Na'vi!"
To your horror, she rounds on you and grabs your hand, raising it to the sky so that everybody could see all 4 of your fingers. "They have demon blood!" She screamed, you keep your head down in shame, in anger, you feel your ears drooping as you stared at the sand, hearing the blasphemous gasps and hisses that reverberated around you.
"Look!" Jake exclaimed, raising his hand in front of Ronal. "Look, look! I was born of the Sky People and now I am Na'vi, you can adapt alright? We can adapt"
After what seemed like forever Tonowari finally agreed to let your family stay with them, learn their ways, live life like the Reef People. You try and shake it off, already unpacking your things off of Hína who was no doubt as worn out as you were, Tsireya, the Chief's daughter began leading you the way into the village, you try and ignore the fact that mothers were pulling their children farther away from you, the whispers that followed you, the lingering looks.
Suddenly, you feel the woven pathway beneath you dipping, someone was walking up to you. When you turn around he was already there, the boy, from earlier, donning a prideful smirk as he sized you up, observing the amount of things you had been carrying. "How are you carrying that? I'd expect your arms to snap off by now"
"How are you walking? I'd expect your body to sway with that swelled head of yours"
You hear him hum. "You'd be surprised, I have been doing just fine the past 16 years"
"I pity your mother then" You tell him, not looking his way.
"Why?" He asked.
"She hasn't found a cure for you yet" you reply, not bothering to look at his reaction. "Whatever Eywa has cursed you with, she definitely did not hold back" you chuckled. "I have not seen anyone who has made her so angry to have cursed you with such a malady and allowed you to keep walking the face of Pandora, maybe if I keep telling you the truth, unlike your parents who keep feeding you lies and falsehoods then maybe your head would shrink to the actual size of your brain"
You continue. "I haven't been here long enough but I pity your people, not only is their future Olo'eyktan a half-wit, but you'd be having trouble finding your next Tsahík, every woman must be running the other direction with that hideous face of yours"
"I wouldn't be too sure about that" He laughed, waving at a few girls who were gathered by the entrance of a Marui, they see him and they giggle amongst themselves.
You turn to him. "Are the ladies of Awa'atlu so easily won over by a charming smile and nothing else?"
He tilts his head to the side, the edges of his mouth curling up to a smirk. "Charming? You find me charming?"
You scoffed at him. "I find you as attractive as a pile of íkran feces, but then again you are what you eat"
He blinked at you. "I will have you know that you are still speaking to the son of the Olo'eyktan-"
You stop walking and he screeches to a halt. "-do you think that I would drop to my knees, kiss at your feet and apologise?"
He half-shrugged, watching his eyes flick downward then upward to your face. "I would not hold it against you" He replies.
"I do not bow down to anyone" You told him. "Especially not to a man"
"Well then you haven't met me yet"
You feel your jaw tighten. "Whatever jackass, you aren't worth my time anyway" you spat, turning around and walking after your family.
He laughs. "I look forward to our talks in the future Forest Girl!"
Shouting another insult his way would catch your family's attention, so you flipped him the bird until you rounded a corner and disappeared from his line of sight.
"Yo, where were you?" Lo'ak wonders when you suddenly appeared at his side.
About to throw hands with the Olo'eykyan's son, you don't say. "I just had to catch my breath, nothing serious" you tell him instead.
You see his face soften. "You good baby sis? I could take a few, lighten your load-"
You shake your head at him adamantly. "No, no, I'm good, I'm serious," this does not convince him as he messes up your hair making you slap his hand away, pointing at his face as he laughs. "if you touch my shit I'm gunna kick your ass so hard you'll be pulling tail hairs out of your mouth for a month"
"Fine," He laughed, straightening himself up. "suit yourself"
You began walking again, allowing Lo'ak to go first as you tried to bring up the rear. Just when you've given him a false sense of security you tugged at his queue making him lose his balance and hiss, you bolt out of there, dancing past your siblings, ignoring their complaints before Lo'ak could even touch the end of your tail.
It had taken them a long time before they managed to find your body, Neteyam and Lo'ak braving the gushing river to find you while Spider and Kiri ran back to the village to get some help. Your exopack had been shattered, they weren't sure for how long, Neteyam had to perform CPR on you until Jake and the others came.
They transported you back to the lab in a helicopter, you remember that. Everytime they increased the voltage of the defibrillator the faster Lo'ak's mind went, the faster Spider's heartbeat went, Kiri was inconsolable, Neteyam was on the verge of a breakdown, Jake tried to keep it together, gain some composure if it was even possible but ultimately failed.
He had lost your mother 8 years ago to a head injury, if he loses you as well then Eywa really had it in for him.
When they brought you back to the lab you had been under a medically induced coma for several months. The Sullys visited you a lot, Neteyam telling you stories of the hunts he'd go on, how he promised he would teach you archery when you woke up, Kiri confiding her deepest secrets to you, what plants she'd discovered, what poultices she learned to make with her grandmother, how in the dead of night Spider would bring a pillow and a blanket and camp next to your bed if he couldn't sleep, Jake would come and tell you stories of your mother, how she would have wanted you to fight, how she would have wanted you to stay, so did Neytiri, she'd sing you songs, pray for you, she even started you a song cord and told you that when you woke up you and her would continue it together.
Though out of all of them, the one who visited you the most was Lo'ak, he was the one who made you fell, and ever since that day guilt had overcame him swallowed him whole, he'd sit with you for hours, apologising, telling you it didn't matter if you didn't wanna play with him anymore, if you didn't wanna talk to him anymore, if you didn't want to watch old cartoons with him anymore, if you hated him forever, as long as you woke up.
"Why does she have to suffer so much Dad?" He asked Jake as they watched over you one night. "She never met her mom, she never met her dad, she's always sick, now she's going to die and it's because of me"
"She isn't going to die" Jake interjects.
Lo'ak shook his head, staring at his hands. "I heard Max and Norm, Dad, they said if she didn't wake up soon she'd be in a ve-vegetitative state forever" He managed, as his breathing became more ragged. "I didn't know what they meant but then Spider told me... and- and I don't want that to happen Dad, she's only 8, she hadn't even reached the- the two number age yet an-and she's going to die and it's all my fault"
Jake places a hand over Lo'aks shoulder. "Look son, don't let your guilt eat away at you, everything happens for a greater reason. Y/N wouldn't want to see you so down in the dumps all of a sudden would she? No, she wants to see you happy-"
A fat tear rolls down Lo'ak's cheek. "-But it's so hard to be happy dad," He sniffled, looking up at Jake with glossy eyes. "I just want her to wake up, I don't want her to go yet" He sobbed, rolling his hands into fists as he wipes the tears from his eyes. "I don't wanna pretend I'm happy, I don't want to keep hoping she's coming back, I want her to come back now" Lo'ak wailed.
Jake takes Lo'ak's shuddering body into his arms, letting him cry on his chest as he placates him, running a hand over his head as he looks at you, so pale, so still, lying on the gurney with a tube sticking out of your mouth and wires attached to your arms, the soft beeping of the machine and the wheezing of your breathing apparatus.
"Yeah, so do I"
Ironically enough, eclipse started to dawn on you when your father called all of you back to your Marui for a family meeting, much to Lo'ak's chagrin.
"Remember?" Neteyam admonishes, grabbing Lo'ak's arm and pulling him inside the pod. "Family meeting?"
"Alright, come on, take a knee let's go"
You do as he says, glancing at your big brothers who followed suite.
"Okay," Jake begins. "I need you kids on your best behavior" He says, his accent slipping through.
"I mean it, learn fast, pull your weight" He looks at Lo'ak. "Don't cause trouble" Then, he looks at you. "Got it?"
You couldn't help but sigh. "Yes sir"
You ears pick up on sniffling from your left, you turn your head and see Tuk crying. "I want to go home" She says, wiping her eyes with her wrists.
"Tuk," your Dad began, taking her little hand in his. "This is our home now, okay? We're gunna get through this, we do this, we have eachother's backs"
"What does your father always say?"
You resist rolling your eyes at the catchphrase that comes to mind. "Sullys stick together" You mumbled, quieter than your brothers.
"That's right, Sullys stick together, now this time with some feeling"
On Eywa. "Sullys stick together" You say with your brothers.
"Alright" says your father, seemingly satisfied. "Dismissed"
You all stand up, Tuk and Kiri getting out of the hut first, your older sister convincing your youngest sister that if she stopped crying they could go play in the shallow water and find seashells, this instilled a bright spark in Tuk as she began jumping in joy in no time.
You decide to hang out with your brothers again, just like what you had been doing before you've all been called into the pod.
"Y/N, hang back for a sec"
This makes all 3 of you stop walking, your brothers turn to you and you nod at them in acknowledgement, pointing your chin towards the beach. Neteyam nods as well, heading out, Lo'ak touches your forearm before he follows Neteyam.
You turn to Jake who places an arm on your shoulder, leading you towards one of the driftwood stumps that acted as chairs.
He looks at you, peering over his amber eyes. "What's up Lite Brite? You doing okay?"
You wince at that nickname, the nickname your father called you ever since you were a kid, even before you were Na'vi. "I'm fine" You insist.
"Hey, don't lie to your old man"
"I'm not" You insist, looking down at the floor.
"I know it's a lot of change baby," He began, you turn to look at him. "It's a lot to deal with at the moment but you're strong, I know you are"
You let out a scoff of disbelief making Jake chuckle in confusion. "What?"
"You kept telling me that when I was a kid you don't need to keep telling me now"
"The advice I give ain't half bad kid, you gotta learn that it wouldn't be a bad idea to start listening to me once in a while, yeah?"
"Yeah" You smile, ducking your head.
Your Dad grinned, tussling your hair. "Yeah" He replied fondly. "You're my strong little lady"
Tumblr media
"Should we just... follow them in?"
You were the first one to stop leaning over the diving platform to look at your brothers, specifically to Neteyam who had been standing on your right. "Well yeah, unless you're too much of a pussy to jump in"
He looks up and laughs, walking up to you to place both his hands on your shoulders. "If you're so keen on following them in baby sis, maybe you would like to go in first?"
You shrug his hands off, pushing his chest away from you as he cackles. "Not a chance, jackass"
"It's only fair Y/N" Lo'ak chimes in. "They're gunna be wondering why we took so long to follow them"
You groan, your shoulders slumping. "On Eywa, when will I ever catch a break?"
"Hey, Y/N what is that?" Lo'ak asks, pointing at the water.
"What's what?"
"There!" He exclaims, pointing at it again. "It's right there! Can't you see it?"
You frown, leaning further into the dock, trying to scan the water for anything that your brother might be pointing at. "I don't see anything"
You tried to turn around to look at Lo'ak but you feel Lo'ak's arms wrap around you, feeling the both of you fall over the dock and into the water, Neteyam following shortly afterward. You swim up to Lo'ak to tug at his ear, a swarm of bubbles escaping Neteyam's mouth as he laughs. The three of you spot shadows coming from above you and try to swim away before Kiri or Tuk body slams into you.
You swim after the Metkayina kids into the reef but soon after you feel your lungs start to burn. You look at your siblings, already swimming up to the surface, you try and follow them up, gasping for air once your head broke the water. Once you all managed to catch your breath you dip your heads into the water again, seeing Tsireya smile up at you, doing something with her hands. You frown and you shrug at her, turning to your siblings for support but realizing they had no clue what she was saying either. Watching as they swam up to the surface to join you.
"You're too fast, wait for us!" Tuk wailed, rubbing at her eye.
"Just breathe" says Tsireya.
"You are not good divers" Ao'nung intones. "Maybe good at swinging through trees but-" He stops to laugh at his own joke but was quickly silenced when Tsireya slaps the side of his head.
"Come on bro" Lo'ak groaned, turning to look at Neteyam, almost as if he was waiting for him to say something.
"We don't speak this finger talk" says Neteyam. "We don't know what you're saying"
"I will teach you" Tsireya tells him.
"Where is Kiri?" Rotxo suddenly wonders. Everyone starts looking for her, calling for her, except for Ao'nung who was too busy looking at his reflection in the water to know who Kiri was.
What a fucking parrot.
Tumblr media
It was the second month of you in a coma when you start crashing all of a sudden, your usually quiet room now had several scientists running in and out trying to bring you back for it was a win lose situation, if they played their cards right they might be able to stabilize you and keep you in your medically induced coma or they might just lose you altogether.
It was Jake who decided to tell Norm and Max to transfer you into an Avatar body, the Avatar body they've been building for you since your 1st birthday.
It evened out the odds a little bit when they found a heartbeat in your new body, they rushed you out of the lab and brought you to the Tree of Souls, Jake knowing all too well where he's seen this before. Mo'at was reluctant, she's seen how frail you were, how weak you were as a child, she did not want to keep Jake's hopes up when things didn't go the way he wanted it to. So they waited, and waited, and waited, hoping that you were strong enough to pass through the Eye of Eywa.
And you were.
Just barely.
Ever since then you'd been living with Jake and Neytiri, having your own hammock, taming your ikran, not needing to wear shoes which was fun now that Norm and Max weren't yelling at you every 10 seconds to put some on, it felt nice that you could catch up to Lo'ak and Neteyam, that you didn't have to catch your breath every so often, that you could learn how to fight.
Your human self would never be able to survive breathing training with the Metkayina, let alone with Ao'nung.
The next day bright and early, you, your siblings, the Olo'eyktan's children, and Rotxo all met up at the beach per the agreement the night prior. Tsireya had paired herself up with Lo'ak and Tuk, paired Rotxo with Kiri and Neteyam, leaving you and Ao'nung.
"I do not understand what I am doing wrong" you huffed, ridding your face of water.
"Everything " Ao'nung replies. "Everything you are doing is wrong "
"I'm breathing from my gut like you told me to, I'm calming my mind like you told me to, is there a possibility that you might just be a shit teacher?"
He rolls his eyes. "Attitude won't help you here, Forest Girl"
Your eyes widen a centimeter in half-shock. "Oh and you will?"
"Just shut up and try again" He snapped, nodding at the seabed. "Go on" He insists when he sees your irritated expression.
You huff again. "If I pass out and don't make it back up it's going to be your fault"
Ao'nung gives you a smile. "Good, the world could use a little less of you anyway"
You wanted to roll your eyes at him but decided not to. With an inhale, an exhale, and a bigger inhale you dive down again, trying to feel as calm and as free as possible, maneuvering yourself through the schools of fish to reach the seabed quicker, but a troupe of the jellyfish looking creatures started to block your path towards the reef, you tried swimming up, no go, you decide to swim under them but you were too afraid to get stung, your only option was to wait them out but once your chest started to feel like it was about to cave in on itself you defeatedly swam up to the surface, gasping for air.
"I can't- I can't do it" you manage, feeling the tumultuos rise and fall of your chest as it yearned for air, hearing Ao'nung's despondent groaning.
"Are you even trying?" He exclaimed.
"I am!" You retalliate tiredly, rubbing your eyes as it stung from the salt.
"Then act like it!" He yelled. "It's bad enough I am stuck teaching a bunch of half-breeds I have to be paired with the densest most incompetent student ever"
You couldn't help the scoff that left your lips; you couldn't believe you had to deal with some snotty airhead when you could've had someone as understanding as Rotxo or as sweet as Tsireya. "do the world a favour and go fuck yourself"
Ao'nung narrows his eyes at you. "I've seen babies breathe better underwater than you"
"Keep running your mouth like that and I'll stop you from breathing forever" You threatened him acidly.
"I'd like to see you try"
You cock your head to the side. "Don't threaten me with a good time"
Just then, Ao'nung sighs greatly at you, raising his hand above the water to pinch the bridge of his nose. "Look, Forest Girl, are you afraid?"
You blinked. Then you blink again. You open your mouth to retaliate with some witty comeback but no sound left your lips, you shut it closed, trying to save whatever was able to salvage of your dignity. "I'm not afraid" you finally tell him.
"If you aren't afraid then diving would be easy for you, fear is clouding your mind, it is holding you back" He reasoned with you, for a second you almost believed that you weren't talking to a boy that looked like a radioactive frog, he was actually starting to make sense. It frightened you. "Nothing will come at you stupid girl, we are too close to the shore to be near real danger"
There it was.
"So i just... need to grow some balls and do it?"
Ao'nung's face contorts. "Grow... what? "
"Dosen't matter" You quickly reply, hoping he'd learn to brush it off.
"Try again," Ao'nung starts. "Remember to calm yourself Forest Girl, there will not be anything to hurt you here, the way of water has no beginning and no end, the sea is around you and in you. Remember that"
You nod reluctantly, turning your gaze to the distorted seabed below you.
He peers over his eyes to look at you. "What... do you want me to hold your hand on the way down?"
You give him a look. "No thanks... I might contract some disease"
He laughs. "Then go"
You take a big breath and dive again, feeling yourself being one with the sea, gliding and drifting, keeping your mind blank as you finally reached the reef, propelling yourself through the mounds of coral that grew from the sand. You were able to spot the shell that Ao'nung threw into the water this morning, quickly snatching it and swimming up to the surface, feeling the sunlight pepper your skin as you resurfaced.
"I did it! I did it!" You exclaim, waving the shell in Ao'nung's face as you hear him laugh, loud and raucous, only fueling the triumphant fire that roared in your chest.
"I'm impressed" He says, taking the shell from you, your fingertips feathering over the other. "Maybe you aren't so incompetent after all"
You feel a small smile stretching across your face. "Maybe not"

Au of my Au?
(Blood of children au..au? 😅)
So recently I’ve been thinking about my Fic the blood of children, and instead of continuing with the little stories about how the surviving Recoms are adapting to Na’vi life but…I’ve been thinking….what if it had gone differently?
What if Quaritch was more uneasy with how the RDA was functioning?
What if the Recoms had started making preparations to ditch the RDA? To stop being property and abandon the sinking ship they were riding?
What if the Recoms had a warning? What if they knew an attack was coming and it was going to be big?
What if more of the Recoms made it out? What if they didn’t get captured? What if Fike and ZDog lived?
What if it was Jake that shot Spider?
What if Spider lost his arm below his elbow instead of above?
What if when Spider woke up he still had his family together….for the most part?.
What if they all hid? What if they all thrived in the forest after getting the lay of the land?
What if they built up their home in secret? Living for years right under the Na’vi’s noses?
What if Brown had a brother who’d lost his arm in combat when he was young? What if he could help Spider?
What if they could build him a new arm?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What if the Sully kids didn’t grow up in a war?
What if the kids met years later?
What if they didn’t know they were supposed to hate each other? What if they didn’t know their parents tried to kill each other?
What if they became friends?
What if the Na’vi found out?
You know? Those kind of things😂? It’s been buzzing around my head for a little while, just thinking about how it could change the story.
Of course the main Recoms would stay the main Recoms, but…
Like how different it you make some of the relationships, how Jakes guilt for killing a child (as he assumes) would affect him, how Spider would feel when his new friends accidentally get some of his family captured? Just a thought or two 😅😂

Fever for the Doctor
Prager x human!reader
Tumblr media
Summary: Prager has a crush on the human doctor assigned to the group. They won't admit it mutal until something happens!
Ring the dinner bell, Prager lovers come get yalls food!
Being the youngest recom was terrible. Technically they were all the same age and he'd tell them this. Although it did little to stop the constant jokes and baby talk.
He'd been barely 22 when he'd signed up for the Pheonix project. He'd never even met the others before they were all lined up in front of the link units. He'd asked the woman in front about it, confused as to why they were going in the avatar drivers thing. The woman, Zdinarsk, had broke out in a devilish grin before repeating his question loud enough for the whole room to hear. Everyone had laughed and he'd gone into the machine still burning with embarrassment.
Then he woke up. Now he was stuck with the group continuing to pile on the jokes. He got it, everyone was struggling with the change and he could take a little jab to lighten the mood.
To his delight he wasn't the only fresh face in their barracks. The doctor they'd assigned the team was the youngest doctor the RDA had. You must have been a quick study to switch from human to Na'vi biology so easily. Quaritch had scowled at your youth and messy appearance but softened upon seeing your credentials.
You were less enthusiastic about the assignment. Seemingly seeing it as some sort of demotion from your previous role. Still you dutifully gave them their assessments when they'd landed on Pandora.
Prager had sat on the lowered bed watching you work beside him. Even purpose built to assist you in reaching they all towered over you. You tilted Mansk's head, shining a light past his eyes before giving him an approving nod. Sunglasses quickly back in place he wandered over to the others to get dressed.
Prager was already feeling rather bashful, sat there in his underwear watching you assess everyone else. Zdinarsk, or Zdog as she preferred, had bumped him down the line.
"Last born, last place!" She smirked jumping the queue.
You stepped in front of him now, reading down a clipboard. He'd found himself staring this whole time. You were cute, no you were down right hot, so painfully his type it felt cruel. He prayed he could ignore the twitch in his pants until he was alone.
You turned to him now neck craning up, looking him in the eyes through your lashes. Your face was neutral as you tapped your chart. You were so close to him, he could smell your scent, he could feel the heat radiating from your skin.
"Let's see, last one here, Prager?" You paused. Prager caught himself having been lost eyeing your form. He nodded dumbly, eyes tracing back down to your messy shirt. You'd left quite a few buttons undone and he was having a real hard time focusing on anything but your exposed skin.
You hummed, reaching your hands out to click your fingers by his ears. He sat painfully still attempting to let you do your job quickly so he could scamper off. Prager caught Lyle's eye behind you, smiling widely as Zdog whispered to him. He felt his face flush, he was so busted.
He didn't have much time to react as you took his face in your palms. Prager swallowed hard, eyes flicking to yours. He squinted as you shone the bright beam in them. Satisfied at his pupil response, you let go of his cheek, ticking a last box.
Prager couldn't wait to run off, just needed you to move out from in front of him.
"Hey Y/n!" Lyle called over, your head turning to him. Prager felt anxiety bubble up in him, his tail thumping on the bed. He wished you'd just move so he could run over and shut his superior officer up.
"I think Prager there might have a little fever!" He continued. Zdog looked pained, barely holding in a laugh at his side.
"Yeah kiddo, lookin' a little red there!" Lopez chimed in, choking back a laugh when Prager shot him a glare.
You turned back to him quizzically. There was no way you didn't notice the growing blush he felt. Prager's ears pinned back as you continued to assess him a moment.
He was worried how red he must look. Or maybe purple? How would his new form blush? He needed to turn this around, ease his embarrassment, maybe gain some respect from the others.
"Hey I'm happy to stay here and play doctor." He tried to sound relaxed, flirty, not like his heart was thundering behind his ribs.
He looked back to you, watching as your face twisted from concern to anger.
"Right then. Dismissed, all of you." You ordered, storming off to your desk and slamming your clipboard down. The others burst into their laughter as they left. Prager followed sheepishly, shooting you an apologetic glace as he passed. Lyle clapped his shoulders in the hall the group still howling.
He saw you often in the weeks that followed. Being on call for them meant being housed just past the air lock to their barracks. You didn't often join them, preferring to stay hold up in your office. You mainly shot them all glares when they saw you. Being a little rough patching up the scrapes and bruises you tended to.
The recom unit still had to eat in the mess hall. Tugging air masks up to breath their own air throughout their meals. It was there Lyle had found you eating alone. You'd made an attempt to leave before his large hands had pushed you back. Joking about joining them all for a lunch date. Maybe his way of trying to break the tension with you, though your sour expression would've frightened Prager off forcing it.
Still it became a routine of sorts. They'd find you in there at some mealtimes and would gather around. You always made to leave but were crowed in and ended up stuck there. Despite this you had began actually talking to them. Prager found himself relaxing around you after the others jokes died down. Though there was still an occasional flirtatious comment slung your way.
"Pipe down! That's Prager's lover, show so respect!" Zdog barked, jabbing Lopez in the ribs.
"In his dreams." You smirked to a chorus of laughter and fists banging the table.
He'd been finding it so much easier to chat in the last few days. Prager had told some dumb story about his teen years and you'd actually laughed. It was a sudden and loud sound that silenced the whole table. It was beautiful, by far the best thing he'd heard since he woke up.
You'd been embarrassed by the sudden attention and probed him to continue. The buzz of chatter resumed but he caught the growing smile on Lyle's face.
Prager did his best to ignore it focusing on his new friendship with you. Finding himself often visiting you in your office, watching over your shoulder at your experiments. Little flirts became a joke between you both. Though he'd never admit he meant it.
Prager had always been a rather tactile guy. So when you'd made to avoid sitting with them again it was him that snuck an arm out to catch you round the waist. Plopping you down next to him, the table laughing at your flustered state.
"And just where do you think you're going my love?" He smirked at your pouting face.
"I've got work to finish. Dear" You stuck your tongue out and made to get up but Walkers hand rested heavily on your shoulder.
"Nothing so pressing you should skip your lunch date." She jeered, wrapping her arm across your shoulders. You grumbled but relented, stealing what you could eat off of others trays, Lyle feigning disgust when you ate the bug proteins.
Prager could feel his crush growing everyday. Sure you were stern sometimes, well most of the time but you were funny and even sweet. You're care for the team softening, Prager had even found himself jealous of the stitches you gave Lopez. Your small hands delicately holding his arm and soft voice praising him for sitting so still. Prager had to leave before he pounced on his friend.
He'd began to really miss you once they were sent on a longer mission. It'd been weeks since he'd heard your sarcastic remarks. He missed basking in your scent as you worked or stealing contact with you that left his skin buzzing. Hell he was considering getting into an accident just so he could get sent home to you. Lyle and Zdog had caught on and joked with him about pinning for his lover. He'd laughed but it was half right, he was pinning for you.
Prager could barely keep his eyes open. The pain so intense it was the only thing he knew. The sharp twist in his gut keeping him from falling away. He felt otherwise so odd, like he maybe could just drift away if Lopez would stop knocking into the arrow.
It was a sneak attack and he'd not been the only one shot, though he was the only one they we're taking back. Quaritch and Lyle pulled the prisoner away as the landed, Lyle shooting worried glances back as he left.
The stretcher was rushed past bright lights, the strobing affect leaving his head pounding. A human face drifted above his own, your face, features twisted, pained. He wanted to reach out, to smooth the line between your brows away. Something cold spread through him now, the pain ebbing away and taking his consciousness with it.
When he woke Prager felt like lead. His body so heavy not even the na'vi strength could lift it. Fike was with him, asleep on a reclined chair and drooling. He smirked, wishing he'd be able to just nudge the leg he balanced on. He caught Mansk's eye, the other man having stood when he saw him wake. Mansk looked between Prager and Lopez, smiling before kicking Lopez's chair.
He squealed, a high pitched sound Prager would have never expected as he fell to the floor. Both men now laughing at his prone form.
"Oh not funny guys!" He grumbled, scrambling up. Prager's laugh broke into an uneasy cough, fresh pain coursing from him stomach. Mansk made to move when you burst through the door. Your hair was extra messy, shirt buttons barely aligning. Your wide eyes narrowed at Lopez and Mansk.
"Right out boys!" You ordered moving to hold the door for them.
"Aww y/n we just..." Lopez didn't finished, freezing under your glare and scuttling out with Mansk in tow. You sighed heavily as you closed the door behind them.
Prager smiled towards you, dropping it when you didn't even look at him. Instead you turned to the monitors, checking his vitals. He smelt Lopez and Mansk's scents, heavy in the air and tinged with sadness. You were closer now, at his IV drip. He inhaled the scent he'd craved all that time, it was soured with your own worry.
He reached a hand to your arm. You looked to him then, eyes bloodshot, tear tracks still visible. Prager wilted under your gaze, the sadness in your eyes passing to anger.
"What the hell were you thinking!" You screamed at him, his ears pinning back at the sudden sound. He fumed suddenly indignant at your response, like it was his fault he got shot!
"I was doing my damn job!" He shouted back, his own voice less intimidating with how scratchy it came out.
"No, no, your supposed to go out there and watch each others backs. You supposed to have been watching someones back! Why was no one watching your back?!" You screamed back, fresh tears spilling as your arms waved. You stilled suddenly, red face turning away. "Why did no one have your back." He barely heard the whisper, your tears falling freely.
You were still so close. Prager lifted his hand to your cheek, thumb wiping your cheek. He turned your face to him, his other hand coming to cup your face. You sniffed, eyes still cast to the floor.
"You had my back..." Prager spoke softly, letting his giant thumbs stroke you small face. You looked back to him, wide eyed again as he hummed.
"Yup! You were here, stitched me up good as new right?" He swore he heard his heart stutter on the monitor when you broke into a smile. Nodding your head in his palms, an uneasy laugh escaping.
"I'm sorry." You spoke, new tears spilling again as your face scrunched. Prager hushed you, pulling you closer to tuck your head under his chin. It was an awkward hug with him still on a gurney but you stayed there until he let go. Pulling back he felt heat rise in his cheeks, your gentle expression meeting his. Your soft hand touched his cheek, finger tips lightly tracing his stubbled jaw.
"You'll be careful right? I don't wanna play doctor this way again." He felt your breath against his face, ears burning at the proximity. Prager broke into a smirk.
"Can we play it another way?" His heart thundered as you lent in and kissed his cheek.
"When you're better." You promised, resting your forehead to the side of his face. Perfect moment ruined when you both startled upright, hearing a whoop from behind the doors window. Lyle cheered before he was tackled out of sight by Zdog.

Home is where the heart is {Part 1}
Part 0 | Part 1
Pairing: Ao'nung x Fem!Human!Reader
Summary: After finally waking up from cryosleep on Pandora, you quickly realize you're not in the right place. While trying to navigate your location, a certain species of tall aliens take you captive.
Warnings: None for this chapter
A/N: I didn't actually think so many of you guys would want to read this. Anyways I'll have a mini tag list at the end since a few of you guys asked <3 and I'll add you guys to the next part too if you want!
Tumblr media
How the hell did you end up here? You were supposed to be in the forest with Grace. This clearly wasn't a forest. The clear body of water surrounded the entire land mass, sandy beaches joining the two together.
There was no way in hell you were in the right place. What even happened while you were asleep? Did Grace know you were alive? Where was the RDA? You began trekking through the wooded area, hoping to find an answer.
The entire island was surrounded by water with no chance of you making it past the reef without drowning. How far were you from the nearest base? You recall Grace once mentioning there were small base units scattered across Pandora. Maybe there was one here?
After remembering all RDA machinery has built in navigators in case of emergencies, you walk back towards the wreckage. The ship was now less than half of its original size. But the question was, how did it even get here? All ISV ships were only supposed to operate in deep space. You were supposed to wake up and be transported on a Valkyrie to the base where you'd meet Grace. So how in the world did the ISV get here?
You entered the ship once again to look for the control panels. Once located, you try to turn them on. But of course, the panel was worn down and rusted. To your dismay, you angrily slam your hands onto the panels. Something you hit must've turned something on because the screen displayed an old recording.
"This is our final log before everything shuts down. The last ship has left and we are hoping this video reaches someone. We need help.
Once the systems shut down, we will have no contact with the RDA headquarters. If anyone gets this, these are our coordinates."
The pilot held up a piece of paper with some numbers on it. Were those coordinates where you ended up? Maybe you could still find everyone else.
"We won't make it. The ones in cryo will. The ship will continue maintaining the people's body temperatures until they either wake up or the ship goes down. But we don't have a chance.
The time is 21:37 and the date is July 15th, 2154. This is Team Beta signing out." The screen goes blank once again."
2154. Two years into your cryo journey. People who underwent cryosleep could stay under for long periods of time and not age. It was scary how long they could remain asleep. But you couldn't have been asleep for more than the six year trip. Right?
You continue to look around what was left of the ship, hoping to find something of use. There were a few extra oxygen masks, an unloaded gun, and a bunch of useless things. You took a spare mask, the gun, and set off into the wooded area of the island. Although you were practically defenceless, the gun could probably act as a threat if you encountered another human.
The jungle was scary to say the least. You continuously looked over your shoulder in case some animal wanted to attack you. And the large roots of the trees cause you to almost roll an ankle. If you could just find a way to leave or contact the other back at the forest, maybe you could make it out alive.
Surprisingly, there weren't many animals on the island, just a few harmless ones wandering around in search of food. And the plants. Oh the plants were more beautiful than any picture you've ever seen. All the vibrant colors seemed to only increase as the hours went on.
Nights on Pandora were known to be dangerous. Grace would always be in the lab at night to protect her and her avatar. But that was in the forest that was probably hundreds if not thousands of miles away. You found shelter under some exposed tree roots, tucking yourself away from the outside.
The sun rose early and the eclipse happened late on Pandora, meaning you had more time to explore your surroundings. You quickly continue your journey to the other side of the island after waking up and realising you were still alive. The hopes of finding other humans being the only thing that kept you going.
The island was huge. Or at least huge for your little human legs because you seemed to be walking for what seemed like forever. The trees finally begin thinning out once you see another strip of beach. This time there were sea creatures swimming around near the shore, splashing about under the sun. You step closer to take a good look at the creatures. They're nothing like any of the creatures you've seen from Grace's research. One of the creatures seems to notice you approach it, swimming closer.
"Hello!" You smile. The cool water now reached your knees as the waves crashed into you. "Can you help me find my way to the forest?" The animal only cocked its head, obviously unable to understand you.
"Who am I kidding, I'm probably going to die soon anyways. This Oxygen mask is only good for a few days. And I only grabbed one extra." You point to the mask tied to your waist.
The creature circles around you as if to examine you. As it does, you notice the handle connecting the two queues together. Someone was riding it. As you reach out to grab the handle, something behind you grabs at your hair and pulls you backwards.
You kick at your captor but with little success. They hold a knife at your neck, effectively stopping you in your tracks. You feel yourself being tied up and pushed forward.
"Olo'eyktan! We found this demon wandering around the ilus." You were harshly shoved forward, causing you to stumble into the sand. Despite the use of their native tongue, you were able to understand the foreign language. Having practiced for years before leaving Earth.
"Skxawng." You mutter. Large hands wrap around your arms, forcing you up to face the na'vi in front of you. The Olo'eyktan. Clan leader. He stood before you, towering over you.
"What is your business here?" He broke the silence.
"I mean no harm. I don't know how I ended up here." You respond with your broken na'vi. It wasn't the best but they seemed to understand you just fine.
"Bring her to the pod. We'll talk later." He waved you off. You were quickly dragged away towards a pod-like room. The warriors threw you into the pod and closed the curtains.
"If you leave, we will have no choice but to kill you."
Great. First you were going to die due to oxygen shortage and now you're going to die by the hands of Pandora's natives. How fun. You sat in the pod, knees brought up to your chest as you thought about how you could have been in the forest by now. Studying plant life with Grace.
You must've dozed off again because the next time you open your eyes, you're tied up again in front of the clan leader and who you can only assume is his mate. The woman steps forward, walking in circles around you, taking in your features.
"Why have you come to us?" She scowled at you.
"I was trying to get to the forest. I don't know how I got here." You watch her grab your hands. Your five fingers look out of place compared to her four.
"Sky people bring nothing but pain to na'vi. We should get rid of it." You were taken aback. More so at the fact that you were just referred to as an 'it' rather than the talk about killing you. You've had too many death scares to be phased at this point.
"I'm telling you. I just want to find Dr. Grace Augustine." You plead. What happened the last time humans came to Pandora to get such a hostile attitude? "I don't mean any harm."
"And who is this 'Grace Augustine." The Olo'eyktan narrowed his eyes at you.
"She's a scientist." You vaguely answer. All you could do was pray to whatever god there was on Pandora that you weren't seen as a threat.
You don't know how you did it, but you managed to make it out of there alive. With the promise to help Ronal, the Tsahik, collect ingredients and run errands, you were able to keep your life. You were brought back to the pod which now doubled as your home to rest. Apparently, there was a family staying on this island that came from the forest. Maybe they could help you.
The salty breeze reminded you of home. How the few remaining beaches would blow the familiar smell into your face. You sighed, stepping out of your pod and walking around the village. The na'vi could only stare at you as you walked by. How could their leader allow a demon to stay?
You found yourself wandering near the shore. The clear water displayed the vast marine life below the surface. One of the creatures from earlier began swimming up to you. An ilu as you learned, was a common mode of transportation among the reef people. Although you could not physically bond with the creature, it seemed to take a liking to you.
"What are you doing with my ilu." You heard a voice coming from behind you. Turning your head, you saw a tall figure. Tattoos covering his arm and face. Despite looking around your age, he towered over you. Sure, he was a completely different species but you liked to think you were tall for a human.
"Sorry it just swam up to me." You move away from the sea creature. The male watching you the entire time. Eyeing you up and down at your awkward movements. You reminded him of a baby. Just learning how to walk. "Well I better go!" You sped away from the scene.
After walking a safe distance, you sit down on a patch of grass in the forest behind the village. Nobody seemed to be around so you finally allowed yourself to breathe. Your mask begins fogging up slightly as you take in deep breaths of oxygen. Everything still felt surreal. What if you were really still in cryo and you were on your way to the forest. No. People don't dream in cryo so that can't be it.
You sigh as you head back towards your marui, na'vi clearing the way as you walk by. As you walk past the beach, you see a dark blue na'vi sitting on the sand. Her short blue hair blowing softly in the breeze. She looks like someone you know.
Like Grace.
"Grace?!" You run up to her. The girl turns her head to you as you run up to her. Shock written on her features. "How come you never told me you were here?" You remember seeing Grace's avatar in the background of the calls every now and then. The girl before you had a striking resemblance. But wasn't Grace supposed to be in the forest?
"How do you know my mothers name?" She glares at you.
The color drains from your face. Grace had a kid? How come you never knew about her? Were you really asleep for that long?
"I'm sorry- you just look like someone I know." You shake your head. There was no way this na'vi was related to Grace. No way in hell. You turn around and walk away, embarrassment evident of your heated cheeks.
"Wait!" She grabs your hand. "How do you know Grace?"
"My mother used to work with her. I was supposed to join her in the forest and research plants with her." You explain. The girl in front of you begins to pull you away as you continue explaining your situation. Soon enough, you find yourself in front of a pod.
"Come." She leads you inside.
When you step inside, you see a man sitting on the floor preparing food. A woman sits beside him. "Father. I brought someone." The girl takes a seat next to the man. He looks up at you, yellow eyes scanning your figure. "She says she knows Grace."
Both adults look at you with wide eyes. "Ma Jake." The woman speaks. Jake? As in Jake Sully?
"Kid?" The male, Jake, mumbles.
Jake would always call you 'kid' when he saw you on call. The nickname brought back memories. "Jake?" You look at the man. The more you look at him, the more he looks like the soldier you once knew. The resemblance was uncanny. "What are you doing here? Where's Grace?" You point to the girl.
"What do you mean where's Grace- What year do you think it is?"
"Isn't it supposed to be 2158?" You quickly do the math in your head. If the video you saw back on the ship took place two years after your journey started, then it should be four years later assuming everything still went smoothly. Jake looked at the woman beside him and then back to you. "What?"
"It's 2173... You were asleep for 15 years..."

The lyle and mansk get captured by the metkayina ask lives rent free on my mind and i've just been imagining this little human kid who is appsrently very VERY traumatized walking around with two giant recom ex (maybe?with time????) Rda guys bodyguards who play and mess with him but also don't let anyone (Jake and neytiri, anyone else are kinda ok bc they are like....prisoners still but they don't get away without a few growls ) get close to him. Also i think it would be funny Jake recognizing any of the two
jake knew them, not well, but still, he knew enough that he didn't fucking want them around. lyle was quaritch's lap dog, mansk was supposedly a fucking psycho, black ops type psycho, and now they're playing all buddy-buddy with 'his kid'. neytiri only see's demons when she looks at them, they disgust her, she wants to kill them, and she would if it weren't for ronal and tonowari and ronal insisting they be left alive.
ronal feels something, eywa telling her to keep them alive, to give them a chance, if only for this little boy's sake (I totally believe that if someone told her she was 16-17, almost an adult by human standards, despite looking so tiny and young and broken, she would lose it. he's just a baby, truly, after everything he's been through, and she see's it). so she protects the remaining recoms because they protect the boy in a way she can't; they have built up months of trust and understanding, they know this boy inside and out, and he allows them to get close. tonowari trusts his wife, though a bit wearily as they are trained military goons in advanced na'vi bodies, not something to mess around with. but the look in the boys face as he clings close to them, the few and far apart smile he shines at them when they tell a stupid joke or begin to ever so gently rough house with him, its worth the risk.
spider is, to put it bluntly, is not doing well. he still has no home, not that he knows of (ronal and tonowari are desperate to take him in, but he can't see that), and his family went from group of ragtag recoms to just two, the three of them barely surviving the loss of everyone they had left to love, to cling to. he's tired, everything hurts, he's tired of being watched like a fucking ticking time bomb, tired of having the two people he has left being treated like glorified lap dogs. but he has lyle, who can always make him smile, even when its hard, and mansk who makes him good food and gives him moments of joined solace.
the boys are just happy to be given this second chance, a chance to be more then just RDA dogs, but were they even really that anymore? sure, in their human lives they were dogs, taught to sit and heel and bark, taught to bite on command, but now? now they were just tools, their lives had no meaning, no value. but now they have the boy, they have a soon-to-be home, if their well-trained observation skills are anything to go off of, and for the first time in forever, they feel like they can breathe.
they never let jake and neytiri even think about approaching the boy, only allowing ronal and tonowari, the kids, and with some hesitancy the other villagers. they don't want to isolate him, he's had more then enough of that, but they need him to be safe. spider spends most of his time with them anyway, finding ways to annoy them, climbing all over them, telling stories by the fire, curling up in their laps to catch what little shut eye he can manage. they manage to be a little family, to some extent, and that's ok, they make it work.

You know what would be funny? While the RDA is obsessing over Pandora's resources and providing the rich assholes with ways to extend their wrinkled existence, the rest of humanity goes “Fuck this shit! Time to fix up our planet!” Like full on terraform Earth back to its former glory.
And so, while the RDA is spending billions to send ships to terrorizing the tall, blue people, the rest of the world is having its redemption arc up until like a year after the second movie, where they’re at the point where they can go “Yoooo, wtf is the RDA doing over there? Oh, they got bored with fucking us over so they moved to alien natives? Nah, send in the Balkan people (These mfs are built different I swear, they’ll just take a breath of pandoran air and go “Umm, spicy and refreshing”). They’re sent on their way (Let’s say they arrive in 1 year flat because screw physics, this is a joke post, mf are going 4 times ftl.), beat the ever living shit out of the Ahaa cartoon villains that are the RDA personnel and teach them some, you know, human decency, queue in the best apology video of all time, leave the blue people alone, boom mission accomplished. RDA gets sued to hell and back (You know, war crimes and all of that) and even more funding goes to fixing up Earth until its basically as we know it today.
Later down the line, the na’vi need help because of some disaster, humanity sends said help, some form of actual peace is formed, Spider becomes the ambassador of human/na’vi relationships (Guy had the glow up of the century, which tends to happen when you live in a time of peace again and people actually love and care for you “ahem, Spider Sully”) Human and Na’vi truly learn about each other (Ones aren’t uncivilized savages, but people with a unique cultures and deep history. Others aren’t advanced savages with boom sticks, but, you guessed it, people with a unique cultures and deep history.) and learn from each other.
And everyone lived happily ever after.
The end
(Very unrealistic, I know)
Ugh, my dream. The terraforming Earth part, not the humans coming back. Because the whole movie is a colonization metaphor, I'm so tentative and iffy on the Na'vi needing or wanting any help or support from humanity.
But regardless, I am obsessed with the idea of humanity healing Earth. I know that we are cynical people and are always like "This is realistic, humans are selfish and would take advantage of Pandora as we did to Earth." And I totally get that, but I also love those humans are inherently good stories. I do think the majority of people care and have empathy about other people and their situations, and the majority of problems in the world are systematic and stem from ignorance. People are uneducated or are struggling with what they have to deal with on their own, and don't have the wherewithal to care about every single other thing that is such a gigantic systematic issue. I would love for people, for everyone, to just be like yeah this isn't okay anymore lets fix it. About anything and then everything. But I digress.
I love the idea of Spider Sully and Jake being a bridge between the Na'vi and humanity. I think Jake would have to be involved as well, because honestly Spider has never been to Earth and has never been with regular humans. My man knows no human culture or traditions, really. He's like, really Na'vi biased in that way, hilariously.
Spider: Na'vi culture is better and more important, obviously.
Someone: well, what is human culture.
Spider: clearly it's test tubes, guns, air lock doors, green paper, Jesus Christ, and also tank tops.

Tumblr media
CW:Touching, kissing, y\n, The main character is a Na'vi, na’vi quaritch x na’vi reader
TW: some smut
You work as an interpreter in the guard of the Celestial Nation, as well as a guide in the realm of Pandora and the life of Na'vi, you are loyal to your service, but you are still a sane Avatar who is extremely negative about violence. With only the memories of your past life with you, you continued to work for the side you thought was right, but of course it wasn't, subconsciously you knew that killing was not the answer, but who would listen to someone like you. You were lucky to have a great team, and although you didn't fit in right away, you were able to find common ground with some of them, including the incorrigible Miles Quaritch himself, of all those present you had an extremely strained relationship which allowed you to constantly turn the conversation into an argument, luckily the guys were able to unblock you every time and keep you from killing each other. One day your group was sent out to scout the northern part of the forest to make sure there were no extra savages there, and if they were found, to take prisoners or kill them, which you didn't let the group do every time. To your surprise, the colonel obediently obeyed this order, only silently putting away his weapon and subduing the savage. Your job, as commander, was to keep everything under control and, if necessary, to make reasonable decisions, without violence, by negotiation, being a guide and mentor in the realm of this violent nature. The landing went quickly, and, as always, you guided the action with a taskbar that gave you a map and a place to head to with one swipe of your hand. The goal was to find more Na'vi and get them out of the way for the RDA's personal purposes.
-Look, Y\n, what if they're not here, - Lyle replied tiredly, waving off the nasty insects. This part of the forest was best known for its carnivorous plants and wildlife.
-Then we'll have less work to do, won't we, Lyle. Or are you tired already? - You turned to him with a chuckle, and your joke was shared by all but the Colonel, who, as usual, only rolled his eyes.
When you finally reached your destination, you found abandoned dwelling huts built from trees and other improvised materials, and then Quaritch went first, gesturing for you to clear the area. You, in turn, stood behind him and watched simply, you were clumsy at shooting, but if it came to hand-to-hand combat, your fists were ready to stand up for yourselves.
-Corporal, as you can hear, reception - Miles' job was to protect you, which angered him, because every time he had to risk his ass for you.
-All clear, sir, only traps found that didn't work, - the man looked carefully around one of the huts, checking every corner, as did the rest of the boys.
-Don't you find that suspicious? - said warily, and then Miles' eyes widened just as he was about to turn to one of the boys, something grabbed him by the leg and dragged him into the bushes.
-Ambush, get back! - The boys immediately ran in your direction, but everyone was already trapped, and the strung rope dragged them into the woods. Miles covered you in every way he could, looking around, his ears drooping and a smirk appearing, he froze for a second, then abruptly grabbed your hand and you ran off in an unknown direction.
-What the hell, where are we running to?! - you tried to keep up with the rapid pace of his run, picking your way through the bushes and roots.
-Fewer words, soldier, I'm trying to save us! - he shouted as he continued to run, finally you managed to escape the unknown, on the way you managed to send a message to the base with a signal for help so they could call for reinforcements. Your lungs were about to burst out, and you huddled against a nearby tree to regain your breath. Quaritch listened to his surroundings and only then was he able to exhale and come to his senses when the danger was over.
-Are you okay? Are you hurt? - The man gave you a concerned look that made you feel uncomfortable for a second.
-I'm fine, I'm glad you're wondering how I am, - you smiled sarcastically, but all you got in return was that familiar fierce look.
-Unfortunately for me, I have to ask for it every time I risk my ass for a scumbag like you, - he crossed his arms over his chest and looked at you seriously, you just wanted to say something as your gaze fell on what was behind him.
-Let's not make any unnecessary moves, - you carefully began to step back, Miles only tensed, taking his weapon and quickly turning around to see the bushes and the usual kinds of trees.
-Look, we're not in a position to make jokes right now, come on, - the colonel only pushed back the thicket, causing his tail to flutter and rise like a trumpet, along with his ears. - What the… - he only looked around after those words, then collapsed to the ground.
-Damn it, Miles! This is a dangerous bush, their poison causes intoxication and hallucinations!? - You cautiously began pulling your partner's legs, though he was losing strength, you still managed to pull him out. After laying him down as comfortably as possible with his back to the tree, you began rummaging through your bag, laying everything out on the surface of the bark in search of the right medicine. While you were looking for everything you needed, the colonel managed to wake up on his own, but his tongue was mumbling something unintelligible.
-Oh, you were able to wake up on your own, that's great, then I can give you a smaller dose and… - Before you could finish and pass the syringe, your wrist was intercepted, the expression on his face was speechless, and it was very difficult to assess the situation.
-What are you going to do to me? And without my consent… - Quaritch tried to formulate his speech, which was difficult, but he managed something.
-Hey, listen, I want to help you, so please let go of my hand, - you wanted to break out of his grasp, but the man's face played only a smile, this you clearly did not expect from such a rude man.
-Why should I let such a beautiful girl like you go? - His eyes went wild, like those of a hungry predator playing with its prey.
-Look, I think this poison has given you a strong side effect… - You looked again at the plants, which were already far enough away that you couldn't hit them again. Finally your wrist was free, and all that remained on Quaritch's face was bewilderment and incomprehension.
-Do you mean to tell me that this weed makes me do stupid things? - The colonel rose slightly, leaning against a tree, and you, in turn, stood up and pointed exactly the same way to a grove of these plants. - Exactly, and now I'm going to inject you with a drug that will lessen the effects, - the man threw another fierce look at you after your words.
-Have I ever told you that I've been attracted to your looks since the first time we met? - This statement made you look at him confused for a split second, and all that comforted you was the phrase, "-It's just the effect of that plant, he's gone mad, nothing more." Everything would have been fine, but his crooked gait headed in your direction, forcing you to move a few meters away from him, - Miles Quaritch, you need a shot, or it will get worse… - your voice no longer seemed as confident as before, for now you were pinned against a large wooden pole, and in front of you stood the colonel's rather rough and pumped body, whose gaze made your tail move like a propeller.
-I feel good now, Y\n especially with you by my side, - he whispered it so softly that your ears flinched and an electric shock ran through your body like you had never experienced before. While your thoughts were clouded with worry, his fingertips ran gently over your arms, making your body throb even harder. Quaritch was so close that his heavy breath burned your innocent face, which was already covered in embarrassment.
-Miles, what are you doing? - the question came softly enough and in one exhale, when his hands were already on your thighs, squeezing them tightly.
-What you have long wanted, but could not afford - the colonel's gaze was fixed on your lips, everything inside him was burning, only you could cause him such strong and ridiculous feelings. As much as you wanted it to stop, your body seemed to defy common sense, and you could only watch as his strong arms pressed you closer and his warm lips showered you with light kisses. Your body burned frantically with every touch on your neck, lightly biting it with his fangs, Quaritch teasing you, making you feel intense embarrassment, his mind still stupefied, and such an effect without the necessary aids could have lasted 48 hours.
-Miles… Stop it, you're not yourself, - your cotton palms tried to push away from the man's chest, but he in turn only intercepted them and raised them above your head, holding you in a kind of trap from which it was difficult to escape.
-Out of yourself I can only be from you - you were naturally enjoying everything that was happening, but common sense still managed to master your brain, the colonel was stupefied and the only option to stop this debauchery was to take control of yourself. The very moment you wanted to be indignant, your lips plunged into a passionate kiss, you never in your life would have thought he was so good at it. Each time the touch of his lips became more and more impatient, given only seconds to exhale and inhale, your tail went crazy and spun with the burning inside. The ground beneath your feet disappeared each time, but Quaritch's firm grip kept you from falling, pressing your wretched body closer to his, still holding your wrists higher.
-Stop, I can't breathe anymore… - You pulled away from the passionate kisses, to which the man only laughed.
-You didn't seem to mind, - he said smugly, finally letting go of your hands. You lifted your head and covered the back of your wrist, greedily gulping for air with your mouth. Unfortunately, the respite was very short; you could tell by the way Miles was touching you, because his hand had already climbed under your shirt. That movement made your tail rise and your body shudder again; the situation had to be saved, an idea popped into your head, and you had to make it happen somehow. You wrapped your arms around Miles' neck and dug into his lips, it was so sudden that the man began to pull back until you both fell into the grass.
-So you like being on top? - he smirked, watching your body.
-Sure, - you tried to reach for your bag, which wasn't far away, but his hands exploring your body, under your shirt, distracted you in every way possible. Finally reaching into the bag, you quickly pulled out a syringe and injected the drug into his shoulder, the man groaned in sharp pain, and you just got off him and sat down next to him, it was unwise to leave until the effects were completely gone, so you just waited for him to come to his senses. At this point the other guys were finally able to get to you, as it turned out they were just tied upside down to the trees, alive and well.
-Finally, now they're coming for us, - you sighed tiredly and looked at Miles, who was already the real Miles.
-What the hell… My goddamn head, what happened? Are we dead? - Holding his head, he tried to remember everything that had happened a few minutes ago, apparently the shock had been so severe that he had lost his memory.
-It's nothing, you just fell unconscious and I was trying to save you the whole time, - a lie for the good of both of them, you knew that if you told it like it was, there would be a lot of embarrassment and misunderstanding in your future service.
-Just passing out like that? Well, never mind, thanks, soldier, - his eyes stared into the distance, trying to remember something. After a few minutes of contemplation you heard the familiar hum of the engine, salvation finally came to you, and together with everyone else you went to the base. You spent the rest of the day in your own thoughts in your office, you also took samples of that poison that is so powerful, as it turns out the Na'vi use it in hunting to stupefy game and make them lose their minds.
At that moment there was a knock on the door, and the familiar figure of Miles stepped in.
-Oh, you feel better, did you want something? - You put aside your work and turned to him, there was not a single emotion on his face that you would normally see.
-You know, I behaved extremely rudely in my work with you and… - he paused and scratched his neck, - And I would like to apologize, - you rounded your eyes in surprise, but you apologized just as he did.
-It's okay, we just didn't see eye to eye, - you said, and you shook hands peacefully.
-But if you want to go on and talk about what we rehearsed after what happened in the woods, you know where to find me, - Miles grinned, your face ready to burn, he remembered every little detail? - For a nerd, you're an excellent kisser, - the colonel left the office after that phrase, leaving you alone with your thoughts and burning with embarrassment.

The Hunt - series
Chap 8. All The Stars- Recom Miles Quaritch
POST FLUFF ANGST LMAOO
basically an interlude but I didn’t want you guys not to read this before next chapter. ALSO I should’ve used It Will Rain on this chapter instead omfg BUT All The Stars is so good I can’t be mad 🫡
recom - recom miles quaritch x omatikaya!fem! reader
cw! suggestive but very little I guess lol
mature content ahead : proceed with caution!
You two could hardly keep your hands off of each other. Na’vi lessons interrupted by your giggles from Miles’ kisses. You two were lucky no one had caught you two bruising each others lips as you hid in your room or his.
It was beginning to become worse, your gentle touching became groping, soft kisses became full blown sweaty makeout sessions. The more tension that built, the needier you two became. It was a miracle no one found Miles curled up in your bed overnight. Though he admitted it was becoming harder and harder to keep your relationship a secret from his squad mates. He knew the dangers of exposing your relationship.
Although it was what his boss wanted, he worried that once he told them about your relationship, that they would take advantage of your closeness. For that, Miles began to pull away. It was sudden, after weeks of being attached at the hips to each other, he was quiet and hesitant to hold you.
It broke your heart, not knowing why Miles would pull away from a kiss or two and then leave shortly after. You were more agitated now, wanting to ask Miles why he was distancing. If you didn’t, you were afraid that he’d pull away so much you would never be able to get him back.
You tail swished impatiently as you listened to this stupid ‘Wainfleet’ talk about how you could not see Miles for ‘lessons’. His face contorted into something mean and smug. “It’s time for our lessons! Unlike you, the Colonel wants to learn the Na’vi way.” You grunted at the man as he blocked your way.
Eventually he gave up, not wanting to argue with you about something he wasn’t even interested in. “Fine.” He threw his hands up in front of chest as he rolled his eyes. It aggravated you, just who was he to try and keep you from Miles.
You waited for the door to unlock as you knocked on it, anxious to see the man inside of the room. Heart stopping as you heard the door hinges creak. Immediately you readied yourself to scold Miles for his recent behavior. Before you could begin to raise hell, heard a voice. It wasn’t Miles’, no, it was far too higher pitched.
You recognized it as Zdinarsk. A ferocious female warrior of the RDA. But just what was she doing in here, your Miles’ took of all places. Your heart felt strangled, your nerves on fire as you processed what was going on. Just before you could take a step back, the door swung open completely, revealing an exasperated face. You were just about to rip her eyes out when you looked down, her clothes were covered in some streaks of blood, and she stunk of dirt.
She peered down at you, tense body relaxing as she saw you. “If we aren’t glad to see you.” You were confused, why were they glad you came? The soldier before seemed to feel the opposite.
You were pulled inside of the room, being hit with the even stronger smell of alcohol and blood. You nearly gagged at first until you saw Miles. He was being swarmed by a couple of nurses as he was patched up. What happened? Why was Miles hurt? You wanted to swat all of them away, and embrace him. He looked up at you, eyebrows knit together as his last cut was cleaned and stitched.
Zdinarsk shooed every little human away after Miles was issued medicine, voicing a goodbye as she closed the door behind her. You stared at the frame for a moment, before turning your gaze back onto Miles. You saw guilt in him, shame, as he struggled to find words to say to you.
“Y/n, look, I..” Miles voice was meek, his facing growing hot as your gaze pierced through him. He heard your sigh and hesitantly looked at you. “Why Miles?”
If words could hurt physically, Miles was sure he’d be dead. There was no worry, no want, no anger in your question. It hurt Miles inside, to hear you have no emotions to grace him with. No pleasant happiness, no scary rage. He could only suck in a breath as you crossed over arms over your chest, eyes bored as your expression slacked.
Suddenly it felt like entire world was caving in on him. He was witnessing the destruction he’d caused between the two of you. It was right in front of him. He couldn’t hide from it or ignore it. The air around him that Miles sucked in, burned his lungs as he felt his throat grow hot, forming sounds he couldn’t comprehend as his ears rang.
“I’m sorry. Y/n, I’m so sorry.” The voice he heard was foreign. These emotions, were alien. The way his skin set alight as salty, stinging tears dripped down his face. You grimaced, watching as Miles’ face contorted, his emotions so intense you could smell it in the air.
You wanted to pull him in and hold him tight. But he’d hurt you to. Your heart ached just as his did. Your eyes glossy as you fought back tears. Tears he caused, heart ache he caused.
You sniffled, sob threatening to fill the air as you felt weight being lifted off of your shoulders. Miles rubbed furiously at his face, standing to calm himself down. But he heard you, heard your suffocated cries as you cupped your face with your hands.
He felt awful. How could he have done this. Hurt the very person who saw him as him. Miles was so angry. He was worse than a moron, he was a failure.
Failing to protect you and your love for him.
Miles cursed internally, tears drying against his cheeks as he reached out to grab your wrists. He jumped when you moved to shove him away, hands against his chest as you cried.
“You demon.” Your shoulders shuddered as you sobbed out. “You scoundrel. How can you do this to me? How can you hurt me even as I love you. I don’t understand why. Why I love you as I do, even as you break my heart.”
Miles could only hold you, no apology of his would quell your cries of hurt. He knew it was his doing, and his only. You’d made that clearer to him as you looked up at him and declared you hated him. Hating how he cared even now. Hating how you loved him so much. Hating how much he loved you.
You hated that he cupped your face and wiped your tears, promising the world to you, asking what he could do to make everything right. You never asked for much from him, but to understand him. Even now.
“I’ll do anything Y/n, just tell me.” Miles pressed his forehead to yours, eyes boring into your own as you looked at him. You sniffled, hands coming up to cup Miles’ face in return.
“I want to see you Miles, let me see you.”
