Hello! I come from @ghosttownwherenoonegoes ~ I canNOT stop thinking about Eddie coming home to you crying while listening to some of his favourite songs and he's ???? and you're smiling, like, "I just love you so much. Was thinking about it and then I was crying" and you LAUNCH at him, grab his face in your hands and SMOTHER him in kisses; chaotic and messy. He's giggling, stunned, you're crying, smiling, and it's all soft and gooey and GROSS but fuck, if his heart isn't beating out his damn chest. "Sanest of the lot, Eddie. Love you so much."🥺🥺🥺🥺
Erika 💚 Thank you so much for sending this in, because I loved it already when I read this request. I hadn't originally planned for the slight backstory, but it just happened while I was writing it, so I hope that's okay. And I stopped where I stopped, because... well, that would have turned into smut then. Not that I mind altogether, but I thought it was better to end it there and leave it like this. So, I hope you'll enjoy this! 💚

Love and Music
Life hadn’t always been easy for you, but you’d tried to make the best of it. Growing up in a home where your parents were always busy with something else, they’d sometimes forgotten about you. All the time you’d told yourself that it was alright, that they still loved you, but you’d never really felt that way, never felt like anybody had loved you - until you’d met Eddie.
You couldn’t even remember how or when you’d started talking, because it felt like a lifetime ago, but you would forever be grateful to him for pulling you into his group of friends, even though you hadn’t had the slightest clue about D&D. When it came to music, though, you two had a lot to talk about. It was what you’d bonded over the most, what had led to some heated discussions, and also to your first kiss in the end. You wouldn’t shut up about him being wrong about Defender of the Faith, so he kissed you to finally make you shut up. It had been a bold and unplanned move, but one that had finally broken the tension between you, after you’d been longing for each other for some time. Nobody had made a move until that day. Eddie had been surprised by you pulling him in for another kiss, and ever since then, everything had been easy.
Ever since then, Eddie’s trailer had been a home to you as well. Before that, you’d spent some time there now and again, but now, it was the place you felt most at home. More than in your own home, because here, you were loved. His uncle was more than okay with that, because he liked you, but he also saw that you were a good influence on Eddie, making him want to graduate this year with you.
It was one of those days where your parents had argued in the morning, where they’d lashed out at you as well, and you’d just… grabbed a couple of things and gotten out. Walking cleared your head, but only because you knew where you were going, and as soon as you reached the trailer, you knocked on the door, knowing full well that Eddie wasn’t home right now.
“Hi,” you said when Wayne opened the door, confusion evident on his face. “I know Eddie isn’t home, I just… didn’t know where else to go.” Sure, you could have gone to the lake, could have gone to one of your friends, but this place was where you felt safest.
Wayne knew a troubled child when he saw one, and the look on your face told him everything he needed to know. So he opened the door for you and let you inside.
“Will you be alright on your own? I have to head to work.”
“If it’s alright for you to let me stay here alone…?”
“Of course.” A smile curved his lips upwards. “Make yourself at home.” And with that he left for work, leaving you in an empty trailer. But even though you were alone in here, alone in the middle of Eddie’s chaos, once you’d walked into his room, you felt more secure, more welcome than you did in your own room. Maybe because you were surrounded by things that you loved, which wasn’t the case at home. Only Eddie was missing right now.
A smile was playing on your lips, when turned up the music and lay down on his bed. There were some songs you argued about, some that you forced each other to listen to, because you thought they were just that good, and then there were the songs you both loved. The songs that would always remind you of him, that made you zone out at home as well, when you didn’t have the possibility to get away.
And then it hit you, just how much you loved Eddie. He was your anchor, the one person you trusted with everything. The realisation made your eyes water, but not because you were sad. Quite the contrary! Because you were so happy to call him yours.
When Eddie got home, he was immediately confused by the music coming from his room. Wayne was at work, but when he saw your shoes, it wasn’t a secret to him anymore who exactly was listening to his music. With a big grin on his face, he opened the door.
“My, my, what a pleasant surpr-” His words died on his lips, when he saw your puffy eyes, your wet cheeks. Hell, you were still crying, making his stomach twist into knots. “What’s wrong, what happened?” Not sure whether it was right to pull you into his arms right now or not, because he didn’t know if something he’d done had made you cry without him knowing, he stayed right where he was.
“I just love you so much,” you blurted out sitting up, wiping at your cheeks. The smile on your lips only emphasised that these were indeed happy tears. “I was thinking about it and then I was crying.” It wasn’t an excuse, merely an explanation, but Eddie knew. He knew how you felt at home, how your relationship with your parents was, and that only made his smile grow. Because you’d come to him, because you were allowing yourself to love and to be loved in return instead of closing yourself off to the world.
Without a warning, you go up and flung yourself into his arms, making him nearly topple over, but he caught you, wrapped his arms around you to keep you right where you were. You pulled back only slightly to grab his face in your hands and smother him with kisses. His nose, his cheeks, his chin, his forehead… and he giggled. It was the sound that you needed right now to ground yourself again.
Finally, your lips met his, but not in a soft and sweet kiss, it was a rather messy one, teeth clashing against each other, but neither of you minded right now. Close wasn’t close enough, so Eddie wrapped his arms even tighter around you, his hand roaming your back.
When you pulled away, you were both gasping for air. Eddie was sure that you could feel his heart beating, because it was nearly jumping out of his chest. He couldn’t help it, didn’t even want to, because he’d never felt this way with anyone before you. You made him forget to breathe sometimes when he was looking at you, absolutely mesmerised by you, by the fact that you were here, were his to hold. He’d never imagined this to happen, but would repeat that first kiss in a heartbeat to get you to where you were right now.
Tangling your fingers in his hair, you leaned your forehead against his. “Sanest of the lot, Eddie… I love you so much.” It had taken you a long time to get these words out, but once you’d uttered them, you couldn’t tell him often enough.
“And I love you, Princess.” He knew that you needed to hear it now and then. Actions spoke louder than words, that was usually his motto, but with you, he’d gotten used to telling you. “All of you, with all your little quirks and even with your wrong opinion on some songs.”
You both giggled at his words, but you didn’t start an argument right now. That was something you could do later, but right now, you simply revelled in the feeling of being so close to him, being held by him. Eddie surprised you, though, when he picked you up and carried you over to his bed. Sitting down, he kept you in his lap and looked up at you.
“Not that I’m not happy to have you here, but… what happened?” He knew. You were supposed to meet this evening, but you’d come here even before he’d been home. He knew that something had happened to make you come here, and he needed to know even if it meant ruining this moment.
“Same as usual,” you said, avoiding his eyes. Your hands dropped to his chest, your fingertips following the words of his Hellfire Club shirt to give you something to do. “Parents started arguing, lashed out at me, and I just had to get out.” With a sigh, you slowly looked up and met his gaze. “And I went to the place where I feel safe.”
Eddie thought that his heart would burst. Knowing that this was the first place you thought of going, because you felt safe here in his old trailer, in his mess of a room, made him proud. He’d talked to Wayne about you, had told him how special you were to him, and the old man had been happy for Eddie. Knowing that Wayne liked you had put Eddie at ease, because it was important to him that the two people he loved most were getting along.
“You’re always welcome here, babe. Wayne said the same.” Eddie raised his right hand to push your hair behind your ear. He used his thumb to brush away the last tears that had fallen. “Mi casa e su casa!”
His words made you smile again. Of course, you’d known this before, but hearing him say that was reassuring.
“Thank you, Eddie.”
“What for?”
“For being you.”
“That’s a new one,” he said with a laugh. All his life, people had looked at him like he didn’t belong, but not you. His friends accepted him the way he was as well, even loved him for that, but there was still a difference in the way you looked at him. You saw him, the real Eddie, and you didn’t run. “I wouldn’t even know how to be anyone else.”
“Good.” You leaned in for another kiss, your hands on his chest. When he deepened the kiss, your hand dropped to his stomach, to his sides, where you pushed your hands beneath the fabric of his shirt. It certainly had the effect you’d hoped for, because his grip on your waist tightened, pulling you flush against him, your body already reacting to his touch.
“Need me to take your mind off things for a little while?” he asked against your lips, grinning to himself.
The way you ground your hips down against him, pushed your hands up further beneath his shirt was answer enough for him. Yeah, a little distraction was definitely a good idea.

Supernovas Trio: Zoro-Luffy-Law and Zoro-Luffy-Kid
Because I’m overthinking OP again, here come some thoughts how manga visually presented Zoro, Luffy & Law during fight in Dressrosa in contrast to Zoro, Luffy & Kid shared moments in Wano. By visual presentation I mean all the frames where the three appeared at the same time, what was the positioning of the characters and especially who occupied the central part of Trio.
In Dressrosa arc, there was a moment when the three Supernovas - Luffy, Zoro and Law - were separated from the rest of Straw Hats. It was the first time Zoro had a longer interaction (screentime) with Law since Punk Hazard. About Roronoa and Trafalgar relationship I’m gonna talk one day in separate post, but for now let’s look at source:
Starting with OP #746, this chapter was more like set up for the rest of their journey together. And of course, because of Luffy, Law had the misfortune to be completely defenseless and dependent on the madness of fellow Supernovas. On the panels where we could see all of three of them at the same time, Zoro was always placed close to Luffy, who made the central figure of the Supernovas Trio:
Tumblr media
The next chapter, 747 put straight away the three Supernovas in middle of enemy group and Zoro even needed to save Luffy and Law trapped by Donflamingo’s men. Here, place of Zoro has changed, and now it is (defenseless) Law in middle of group instead of Luffy.
Tumblr media
what makes sense, since Luffy is carrying Law on the shoulder, so his one hand is constantly busy by keeping Trafalgar in place. Thus, he can’t fight at full capacity, so Zoro, if not alone to keep Law safe, for sure is guarding his captain’s less protected side.
Yet once they get away from Donflamingo’s officers, Luffy again is presented as a central figure of Supernova trios:
Tumblr media
only for the Trio to run into Marine Admiral Issho
Tumblr media
Like I said earlier, when Luffy and Zoro kept Law between themselves, A) the defenseless Trafalgar is safest in the middle and B) Luffy’s weak point is guarded by trusted first mate. Yet once the Trio run away from enemy’s loyal fighters, they fall back into previous (visual) dynamic, all centered around Luffy.
Of course, Zoro knows very well his captain and how great powerhouse he is, so he does not need really fret over the situation. But at the same time, both Luffy and Zoro are this kind of men that take seriously their commitment to allies and whatever Law want it or not, Luffy already decided to consider him as a friend than just a fellow pirate.
I guess, despite the danger, Luffy and Zoro are just confident in their own skills, while the poor Law can only trust that his allies will not kill him in the process.
In chapter 748, Supernovas Trio, thanks to Luffy’s lack of common sense (a.k.a. lauging at high voice of Pica), pissed Pica for good and after being blow away by enemy’s attack, met Colosseum Fighters (saved by the god Ussop).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For most of time, Luffy is presented in between Zoro and Law... but the more characters show up, in the latest two scenes once again Law is put in the middle. Maybe it wasn’t planned by author, but frankly, Oda is a master of little details. So, Supernovas did not know at first if these people are their allies and though all of Colosseum Fighters had the same goal - to beat Donflamingo - no one came here with teamwork in mind. Zoro, as the one enough tactful, actually suggested compromise: Colosseum Fighters backing up Supernovas in fight against common enemy but it was quickly rejected.
Luffy wanted to defeat ‘Mingo all alone, the Fighters didn’t care what Luffy wanted and in all fairness, this argument could quickly get out of control and turn into a fight no one really needed. So, maybe Zoro instinctively prepared himself to repel a possible attack as evidenced by:
Zoro up until the last frame, (after meeting with  Cavendish) kept sword sheathed but now has one in hand what in itself is a sign something wrong is going on
Luffy carried Law on his right shoulder, and since he does the same in the two last presented examples, it means Zoro switched his place to keep Law in the middle.
There is another thing to think about. The 748 chapter ends with Supernovas Trio riding a bull surrounded by allies. The same as in previous panels, Law is put in the middle, between Luffy on front clearing path and Zoro protecting them from behind.
Tumblr media
Since Law was still in seastone chains, which means defenseless /useless in fight, this combinations put him again in the safest place while let Zoro and Luffy fight without worry. And Law is going to stay as such through the next chapter.
Tumblr media
Which chapter 749 the battle has finally begun for good - Luffy faced Pica for a while until leaving the fight to Zoro. In all fairness, there is little to none good frames focusing on Supernovas Trio.
Chapters 746-748 weren’t overall a long interaction, and even characters did not talk that much to each other (Trafalgar, like, maybe once adressed Zoro, while Roronoa did not talk to him at all?) Yet from the visual composition of frames showing the three Supernovas together, we may draw some conclusions. Like,
the group started as centered around Luffy who was the link between two introverts that did know little each other and did not have any real interaction up to this point,
but the dynamic switched once they faced bigger danger
then Law was wordlessly put in the safest point and backed from both side by powerful allies (mainly because Zoro switched position?)
an allies who not even once have complained or commented on his uselessness nor did anything that would show lack of respect for Law.
That in itself is very different than from the “teamwork” of pre-TS three Supernovas captain, in which Eustass Kid bragged how he is gonna charitably save  their useless asses, even though Luffy and Law back then were perectly in shape to save themselves. Law was pissed off a few times by the way Luffy handled him, but there was no real quarrel between Zoro, Law and Luffy (not like between Three Captains when everyone tried to prove their superity)
The next time when we see Zoro, Luffy and Law in the same frames happened after beating down Donflamingo, when all heroes were resting in hidding.
Tumblr media
the day after that
Tumblr media
and around the party between Straw Hats and their new (sworn) allies made by bunch of different  people.
Tumblr media
and when they sailed to Zou.
Tumblr media
Luffy may started as central figure for this Supernovas Trio, but during and after battle of Derrossa, Straw Hat is no longer needed for such role because Zoro and Law get along quite well and keep close to each other on their own will (and to be fair, Law interact with other Straw Hats on regular basis). What is even more visible once Straw Hats-Hearts pirate alliance get to Zou. The point is: Law is okay between his crazy allies and there is no need to compete with other Supernovas around him. Luffy may stress him out with all his craziness, randomess and shenanigans, but the two captains can and will trust each other, same with Zoro (except for, like following a plan because Luffy and Zoro are lost cause in that regard). But at the same time, Luffy doesn’t need to be around Law anymore, doesn’t need be the bridge between his own crew and another captain from the Worst Generation.
Law is the first Supernova to interact with Straw Hats for so long (that is like 4th arc in the row and 3rd for this Supernova Trio to actually interact with each other) and his position with main heroes is pretty much secured and settled down.
Now, let’s talk about another Supernovas Trio Quartet: Zoro, Luffy and Eustass Kid and Killer. Up to making the alliance of Straw Hats - Hearts - Kid’s Pirates, both Luffy and Zoro had a chance to meet their counterparts. The captains met in prison where instead of working together, competed to prove the other who is better and along the way, Luffy kinda helped save Kid and Killer in dire situation. Or more like: Kid and Killer were saved because ninja Raizo thought they were friends of Straw Hats. Zoro on other hand did not have any clue that Kamazo the Manslayer was in fact Killer and both men seriously injured each other in fight over O-Toko.
So far there was only one chapter (981) presenting Zoro, Luffy and Kid & Killer at the same time in the same frames. So, let’s look closery at the source material:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We have so far only four panels solely focused at this Supernovas Trio (with addition of Killer, the sanest person of the four). The biggest difference between those panels and previously analyzed? ZORO IS THE CENTRAL FIGURE IN ALL THE FOUR PANELS.
This makes me smile like crazy maniac because though it is so atypical (Luffy, the main hero not being in the spotlight?!) it makes absolute sense - up until now, Kid and Luffy at the sight of each other ARGUED NON STOP and apparently physically can't stand side by side and NOT compete. I mean, just look at these dumbass put together in the same prison:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
or even in 981 chapter, during fight after both blowed up their covers on whim/reckless decision to hit enemy in the face
Tumblr media
when Luffy is the one that actually started the whole ruckus yet keep blaming KId for “causing a scene” (above) or  “you’d make a huge mess” (in previous example).
Okay, these two CAN WORK TOGETHER when the situation calls for such teamwork, but once it’s over, they are at each other throats without second thought. Which is why Zoro being put in the middle between two chaotic dumbass captains is so awesome and different from Zoro-Luffy-Law team work.
Because Luffy was a bridge that connected Zoro and Law when previously they had little to no interaction (what makes sense, since both are introverts and prefer keep their distance and they aren’t people who trust easily) while now Zoro is, well, kind of a wall to keep these two hotheads from fighting and arguing all the time. In a way, Zoro (and Kliller) is there to balance the situation, what may be seen on the first jointed frame:
Luffy accusing Kid for making a huge mess (ignoring his own part in the created ruckus)
Zoro (who sliced in half a tower because he heard Luffy is already fighting only adding to the mess), despite being Luffy’s first mate, stays objective enough to point out Luffy’s fault
and Kid, instead of fighting with Luffy over what he said, actually is calling Zoro on his own deeds (what Roronoa ignored?)
while poor Killer just stands and watchs these ridiculous guys silently.
Despite the first meeting together when Luffy, Zoro and Kid argued a bit, the next panels actually show how similar dumbass chaotic people they are (and how Killer is the sanest person compared to them). In 3 of 4 scenes, Kid, Zoro and Luffy actually get along quite well; even though they do not speak to each other (but listen to Killer’s advice), the visual composition does not show any discomfort between them. They stand arm to arm, with like zero personal space between them and it works okay. What is different from the first time of Zoro-Luffy-Law teamwork, when there was always some visible space between Zoro and Law. Of course, the realities of combat in Dressrosa and Wano vary from one to another and so far it’s hard to predict how their relationship will develop, but for sure it will not be exactly the copy of Zoro-Luffy-Law dynamic.
What is even more interesting, as much as Luffy and Law alone are okay to work together, once there is Kid in sight, their teamwork goes straight to hell and the three of Supernovas captains WILL ARGUE TO NO END and COMPETE WITH EACH OTHER like some crazy maniac.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And because of that, the presence of Zoro (and Killer) may help to balance the dynamic between allied pirates of the Worst Generation. Because really, compared to Kid, Luffy and Law in close range of each other, Zoro and Killer are the cool-headed guys no matter what.

The last episode got me thinking of what those last moments of Cas with the Mark would be and now I’ve made myself sad.
Wrote a little blurb under this just to make it worse.
The kitchen was a mess. Bowls were thrown about, the remains of empty beer bottle were scattered on the floor, even one of the florescent lights had been shattered from the fight.
It was getting worse and Dean knew it. Although Dean and Sam had managed to subdue Castiel quickly this time, his outbursts of anger and violence had been increasing in intensity as well as frequency.
Dean sat in his chair staring blankly at the pages of research laid in front of him. He had read the pages for the Mark for what seemed like hundreds of times each time coming up with no permeant solution to get rid of it. He slammed the book shut.
“Dean.”
The voice behind him made him lift his head. He turned in his chair to find his best friend standing in the doorway. He had shed his coats and was left in the white dress shirt and tie. Dean couldn’t help but feel a pang of sadness. Cas looked so… Human. His shoulders sagged when he breathed, his hair was still disheveled and his eyes looked tired. Guilt was soon to follow the sadness. This was his fault.
“I know that face. Whatever you’re thinking, stop.” Cas stated, walking over to him.
The corner of Dean’s mouth twitched and he shook his head. “It’s nothing.”
Cas looked like he wanted to say something, but he decided against it. Instead he looked at the research Dean had been studying. “Where’s Sam?”
“Beer run. We figured that right after one of your… Episodes would be the safest time to go.”
Cas nodded and the two were quiet. Cas was usually okay for a bit after a violent outburst. In the recent weeks, however, Cas had really been struggling with the Mark to the point where Dean had trouble calming him down. Calm wasn’t even the right word for it. Even when he was docile he was snippy with the brothers and he’d snap at them as if he was a teen. It was almost funny, almost.
Movement drew Dean’s eye and he watched as Cas absentmindedly scratched at his arm right where the Mark hid under his shirt sleeve. “How is it?”
The scratching stopped. “Fine.” Cas murmured.
Dean couldn’t help but roll his eyes and stood. “You can’t use my own trick against me,” he said while unbottoning the sleeve concealing the Mark.
The angel made no effort to stop him, he just watched as Dean continued to roll the sleeve up to his elbow, exposing the angry red skin. Dean traced around the Mark holding his friend’s arm softly. He knew how hard it was to stay in control with the curse and Cas had done so well with it. But that was falling apart; he could feel Cas slipping further, he wasn’t sure how much longer he could hold out.
There was that sadness again.
Although he was silent, Dean could feel Castiel staring at him, wanting to say something, but for some reason he couldn’t. Dean continued to pass his thumb gently around the Mark.
They stayed there, as if taking in this brief moment of peace. Between hunting and Castiel’s condition worsening, they didn’t get many of them… They probably won’t have many left. Dean’s breath hitched.
“Dean.”
This was it. Dean had denied it long enough but he’d be damned if he wouldn’t deny it more. There had to be another way, he can’t go out like this. He stopped moving his thumb and tears picked at the corners of his eyes threatening to spill out.
“Dean, I don’t know how much longer—”
“Don’t.” Dean forced out, teeth clenched together.
“You have to let me go.”
These were the words he had been dreading, not just due to the Mark but ever since he had met Cas and befriended him. He was an angel, those were supposed to last forever, but of course, the thing had to get his wings caught in the Winchesters. Nothing seems to last with them. He wanted to scream that it wasn’t fair which was true, but it wouldn’t help. He couldn’t bare to look up at him, it was hard enough hearing him, but to look into those damn blue eyes and see his best friend fading– he just couldn’t.
When Dean spoke, he hardly recognized his own voice. “I don’t know if I can… Not again.”
“I have to do this now. It’s time.”
“You’ve got plenty of time we can still figure something out to help you it’s going to be fine, we can find another way, there had to be one—”
Dean stopped. In the midst of his rambling Castiel had taken a small step forward and traced up his arm resting it on his shoulder. Although it had faded the handprint Cas had left on him would fit perfectly underneath where his hand was now. Dean realized he was shaking.
“Dean.”
This time Dean looked up and was met with those damn blue eyes. They were the softest he had seen in a while and there were tears in them. This was the friend that had been fading away for so long. He looked like Cas.
“I know you don’t want to hear this, but this is the sanest I’ve been in a long time, which is why it has to be now. It’s my choice.”
And Dean saw it. It was his choice he could see it in his eyes. That doesn’t mean it would be any easier.
“Cas, I want to tell you– what I want to say is,” Dean sighed, why did emotions have to be so damn difficult. “Look, you’re the best friend I’ve ever had and you’ve done so much for me and Sammy. I just want to say that you me a lot to us, you mean a lot to me.”
The corner of Cas’s mouth twitched up, “I love you too.”
Dean felt Cas’s other hand cup the back of his neck and Dean mirrored him until their foreheads touched. Both closed their eyes letting the tears in them roll down their cheeks. There was something about the gesture that felt so intimate like he was completely exposed but calm and at home, like they belonged there.
Dean opened his eyes a bit to see Cas’s face. The angel’s eyes were still closed but there was something about his expression that seemed focused, like he was studying.
“What’re you thinking?” Dumb question, he knew, the guy was about to seal himself away to protect the rest of humanity, there would be a number of things on his mind. Dean knew that better than anyone.
“Just trying to remember this moment. I won’t have many more like it,” he said matter-of-factly.
That set a fire off in Dean. Cas was right and it wasn’t fair. They had won they deserved better. Cas deserved better.
Cas opened his eyes and met Dean’s. Dean had never really gotten over the intensity of these gazes. Those damn blue eyes were piercing, especially this close up.
At this moment it really hit him. How much he’d miss Cas. Sure he had mourned him before and he had thought about the day that this would inevitably happen, but now it really dawned on him that this was goodbye. A fresh set of tears fell.
Cas took the hand holding the back of Dean’s neck and cupped his cheek, brushing the tears away with his thumb. “It’ll be alright, not at first, but it’ll get better.” He offered Dean a sad smile.
Dean tried but failed to return it. There was so much he still wanted for Cas, and since they had won against God he thought that maybe things would settle down, maybe things could be normal for once, maybe he could… He stopped himself, that train of thought was dangerous and it wouldn’t do anything good. What was the point of entertaining the possibility that he and Cas–
“Dean.”
That brought him back. He locked eyes with Castiel again, foreheads still touching. He felt as if he was feeling everything and nothing all at once. The only thing he could focus on was that his friend, his best friend, was here right now. Man, those damn blue eyes. What the hell.
Dean tilted his head, their noses bumping gently, and pressed his lips to Cas’s. It was a tentative, almost cautious kiss. When he didn’t feel Cas respond, he knew he had messed up. God, he was stupid. He started to pull away.
He was caught off guard when Cas surged forward, his hand tightening on his shoulder and the other finding the back of his head. Dean responded by wrapping his arm around the angel’s waist and pulling him as close as he could. They poured everything into this kiss knowing it was probably the first and last they’d share.
They pulled away breathless and like a weight had been lifted from the both of them. Cas met Dean’s gaze with those damn blue eyes and genuinely smile. “Thank you.”
