things i would change in lita if i were in charge:
put Rain in a dorm room instead of living at home
a large part of why Phayu/Rain doesn't work for me is because we don't get to see Rain develop on his own...ever, really. he's in college, but he's living at home, living off his parents' money, still updating his mom on his where abouts like he's in high school. he goes from being closely entwined with/dependent on them to being highly dependent on Phayu. Phayu/Rain didn't come off as "Rain's making stupid and risky decisions but that's part of growing up," which i would've enjoyed, it comes off as ".....no, seriously Rain, can you make this decision?"
moving Rain into a dorm would've given him some much needed independence. even if though he would've still been reliant on his parents financially, there's still the growth that comes from being away from your parents' daily influence, managing your own space, managing your own personal well-being, etc. that would've been Rain's starting point for independent growth. vs canon, where Rain's start in independent growth was an intensely sexual relationship with a highly independent guy (nooot really anything i'm comfortable with myself). Rain can enjoy being coddled/spoiled/etc (which i like! good for him!), but the writers never gave him a chance to figure out who he was on his own, so the relationship as is doesn't land for me :/

i really like the glimpses of Phayu's character that we get. he has a lot of contradictions that look like so much fun to explore, but his characterization often gets shuffled to the side in favor of kink. the most interesting Phayu scenes are always the ones where it's not just him and Rain which......really sucks. the Prapai/Sky sex scenes reveal a lot about them as individual characters as well as how they interact with each other. Phayu/Rain sex scenes kinda touch on how they act together, but the main thing they do is tell me more than i want to know about the writers' personal kinks. hell, most of what Rain learns about Phayu as a person is discovered through other people--which is really annoying! i want to be learning more about this guy through his interactions with Rain, not primarily the gossip other people tell Rain. that doesn't happen until like, ep6-7, which is the literal end of their personal arc and mostly spent away from each other. sighs.
more Saifah
quality character, highly underutilized. i love his eyerolls, but the writers never really did much with him to bring him past that point :( i can extrapolate a lot, but canon developed Sig in the second half of the show more than they did Saifah for all of it. Saifah is Phayu's literal twin brother and business partner, and some random architect student got more of a character than him. this is not a complaint on Sig, i fucking adore that guy, but it's a bizarre writing choice.

Yesterday my wife and I were chatting about like- specifically the kind of kinky these two boys are. Clearly, they are /very/ kinky- but they're also very soft.

Phayu’s eyes narrowed as he took in the smugness in Rain’s gaze as his friends cooed and tsked.

"Phi?" Rain called out in his sleep as he had patted the empty space beside him. His eyes fluttered open as he took in the room . He wasn't in his bedroom. This was Phayu's. He flushed as he brought his hands to his face as the memory of last night flooded his mind. Rain let out a shaky breath. "P'Phayu?" He called out again. When he didn't get an answer he decided to be brave and get up.
He stole Phayu's dark grey henley from the dias the bed was raised on. Rain debated grabbing his sweats but decided on just wearing his boxers as he set out to find Phayu.
"Where ar-" Rain sighed as he stepped outside to go to the gym annex. He stilled seeing the beautiful expanse of Phayu's back as he worked the machine. Though he swallowed hard as his gaze followed the red lines where he'd marked Phayu's back last night as well as the bruise where he'd bitten his shoulder.

"You're adorable." Rain smiled, leaning in to gently wipe the grease stain off Phayu's cheek with the wipe. Those lovely eyebrows on the older man's face rose at his remark before a narrowed expression. That just made Rain laugh heartily. "In a sexy way P'Phayu. Now, what's left? Have you done the paperwork yet?"
"I...no." Phayu found himself stammering and he mentally kicked himself. Wasn't he the older one here?
"Good, I'll get that worked out for you and order us some take out. So when you're done we can go over what needs to be done to mine" Rain beamed before sauntering off leaving Phayu to pick up the mental pieces of how he just got talked into a mini date.

Day 87 and im STILL missing the weather boys
I have an upcoming exam!!! And you know what that means??? PROCRASTINATION!!! and my choice of distraction is Love in the Air, more specifically, episode 3.
Episode 3 is such a delight!!! Now that we've finished PhayuRain's storyline, we now have more context about their dynamic, especially Phayu. So at first, i really found Phayu stand off-ish. He got this mysterious, polite vibe but he gets mischievous when it comes to Rain and that is a favorite trope but Phayu still felt untouchable, like he could do no wrong and that he's hust a straightforward dude who knows what he wants BUT, now that im rewatching PhayuRain multiple times by now my perception of Phayu has shifted. Like that man is UNGINGED!!! HE IS BONKERS!!! HE IS JUST A LITTLE SILLY DUDE WHO WANTS TO KISS RAIN SOO BAD HE MADE A 10-STEP PROCESS TO ENSURE THAT RAIN FALLS IN LOVE WITH HIM!!! and it fucking worked!!!! Their entire story arch really got me giggle now that i know that Phayu has everything planned!!! And Rain, my adorable walnut did not see Phayu coming.
Rewatching ep. 3 really made me miss PhayuRain so bad!!! My sweet lovelies who are so gone for each other they should really just get married ASAP because they ruined each other for other people. They cant do better because theyre the best for each other.
My incoherent PhayuRain ramblings have me crying and sobbing!!!
I also rewatched ep. 8 and PrapaiSky got me sighing and mooning over them. It was rough at the beginning. I think its because were getting introduced to Sky's trauma and that's always rough. My fave scene is when Prapai dropped Sky off at his dorm. That banter is immaculate. Prapai just really shot his shoot right then and there. Perfection.

When that didn’t work, he frowned and poked his best friend before curling up next to him, lifting the boy’s arm to snuggle into his side and whining, “Sky”
Rain beamed at Sky when he finally tore his attention away from the tv, giving Rain an exasperated look as he paused the TV, “What do you want, Rain?” Rain bestowed his best innocent face on Sky asking coyly, “Why would I want something?” Sky groaned, rubbing a hand over his face before grinding out, “Possibly because you’ve been stomping around our apartment for the last ten minutes, huffing and sighing and doing everything possible to get my attention?”
Rain shrugged before he flounced dramatically in Sky’s lap, arranging himself until his head was resting on Sky’s lap so he could see him better. He sighed again before whining, “Why doesn’t he like me Sky?” Sky looked down at him, completely non-plussed, “Who? Who doesn’t who like you?” Rain gave him an outraged look before shrieking, “Phayu. Phayu doesn’t like me. Have you not been listening to me?”

Phayu's Phone Call
Phayu knew he didn't have much time left and between Pakin and Sky, one of them was a little more helpful in finding Rain. If only he knew was the price was going to be before asking for help. But right now, he didn't have a choice. With his phone up to his ear, he heard the husky tones of his boss.
"Phayu? Why are you calling me this early in the morning? You know I don't function without my fourth cup of coffee."
Phayu sighed, "It's Rain. He's been kidnapped again and there's no sign of ransom note or anything."
"So you want me help? Chai is a little busy today but I'm sure he could spare a couple of hours. In exchange, all I need you to do is build me two motorcycles from scratch Phayu. I have some important clients coming in from Japan that could make me a lot of money."
Phayu grit his teeth. Building two bikes from scratch would cost Phayu several all nighters if he was going to get them done before the next race next month. But if that's what it took for P'Chai to look into Rain's disappearance, he would do it.
"Deal. Rain's car is here on campus grounds."
"Chai will be there shortly. I do hope we find your boy Phayu, I do like his spirit."
"I do too. Thank you Phi."
The phone went dead and Phayu scrubbed his face with his hands. Now all he could do was wait until P'Chai came. He glanced back down at his phone, the tracker app connected to Rain's phone still blinking red to him. Rain's phone was still turned off but the moment his app turned green, he would be there.

Have an untitled document snippet that I refuse to name because it was /supposed/ to be a like- Quick Pornie Au with Big Dick Phayu and his childhood friend Rain who has recently gone throuh his Slut phase.
Either way, Rain scrubs his skin in the shower, snagging his body wash from the shelf to replace the smell of whatever the hell the guy's name had been from last night. Ball? Bean? Rain hadn't been listening particularly hard. And the guy certainly hadn't put in enough effort for Rain to bother moaning it, so what did it matter? He hadn't been half as big as Rain had thought he was in the club, and his thrust game had been dismal.
A little delirious, Rain thinks about the possibility of making a shirt that says 'you must be this big to play'. Maybe that would help him weed out the non-contenders.
Another rumble from his stomach and Rain sighs, petting it fondly, "I know, I know. Hopefully P'Phayu and P'Saifah will have something yummy for us."
Thankfully they don't live too far away. Close enough that Rain doesn't even bother grabbing his keys after he's gotten dressed, opting to ride his bike five blocks down to where the twins live. It might not be as cool as Phayu's motorcycle, but it's functional and it gets him there faster than walking would have. Which is important given how loud his stomach is protesting.
He rides his bike up the driveway of the huge house, carelessly letting it drop to the side as Rain goes to beat on the door. Once. Twice. Three times.
Rain's just about to hit it again when it opens and he throws his arms around the neck of his savior, "P'Saifah! Please tell me you guys have already made breakfast! I'm going to waste away if not!"
Saifah laughs, spinning Rain inside and dropping him unceremoniously on the floor so that he can shut the door. "Phayu's in the kitchen now. Forget to buy groceries again?"
"Maybe."
"When's your Mama coming back, anyway?"
Rain slides off his shoes, shrugging. "She's with Papa in Korea, so probably another month or two. She's never in a rush back when she gets to stay with him."
Not that Rain can blame her, it's just that maybe he'd like to go too sometime. But apparently his studies are too important. Maybe over the summer he'll be able to visit. In the meantime, he's making the best of having the house to himself-
Even if it means shopping for himself. Rain wrinkles his nose- shopping is just so boring and he always feels like he's forgetting something important. Maybe he can convince Phayu or Saifah to come with him on their day off. At least that would solve the boredom problem.
Rain follows his nose (and his stomach) to the kitchen. Sausage- Phayu's definitely cooking sausage. Probably eggs too, if Rain knows his friend and after over a decade, he sure thinks he does. There will be vegetables too, of course. Rain's gotten the lecture about balanced meals leading to a balanced life so many times that he could probably recite it in his sleep.
Which is why Saifah's probably the best target when it comes to asking someone to go to the grocery store with him. Saifah will understand why Rain's cart is half filled with chips.
"You're here early, Nong," Phayu says, one eyebrow raised as he stands at the stove.
"I'm starving, Phi," Rain sing-songs as he boosts himself up onto the counter- far away enough that he knows Phayu won't chide him about having his ass too close to the food. He winces slightly when he makes contact, the after effects of last night not completely invisible despite being mostly unremarkable.
It's disappointing, truly. He'd rather have a night out sing through his body in the morning, than show up as a whistle later.
Phayu's eyes narrow, but he doesn't say anything about Rain's placement and Rain takes that as a win. What Phayu does say is, "Let me guess, Mama is on a business trip again?"
"And Rainyboy hasn't gone grocery shopping," Saifah adds as he starts to take down plates from the cabinet to set the table. "When'd she leave?"
Rain kicks his heels against the wood, trying to think back. "Last Friday, I think? Maybe Thursday."
"It's been over a week and you still haven't gone grocery shopping, Nong?" The judgment in Phayu's tone is clear, even as he takes the pan he's had on the stove off and begins to divvy up the food on the plates that Saifah brought down.
"I think our little friend has been too busy with <i>other</i> things, if you catch my drift," Saifah teases.
