GET TO KNOW ME ✰ [7/10] Musicals
⤷ Next to Normal (2009)
"Give me clouds and rain and grey. Give me pain if that's what's real; it's the price we pay to feel. The price of love is loss, but still we pay—we love anyway."
Audio of the Next to Normal evening performance at the Donmar Warehouse September 16th. This is Joshua Gannon's debut as Henry. Posted with the master's permission.
And to any of you who still haven't heard Jack Wolfe sing as Gabe, you are missing out, please take this as a sign.
I’m back on my Polaroid posters. Introducing my current hyperfixation that has been going on for months. Next to Normal. So obviously I had to make posters of the West end cast, now when all of them are returning.

Also on another note I currently have 40 different notes in my note apps, where I have analysed almost the entire production. Do what you want with that information
I saw the London production of Next to Normal and it was phenomenal. Caissie Levy is the best Diana ever, Jamie Parker broke my heart.
Oh and my darling darling Jack Wolfe. I don't think I've ever become such a huge fan of someone in such a short time. He's so pretty. His voice is heavenly. And every single look he gave as Gabe was A Choice. It was like, what if I played Gabe as a Demon Twink? And it worked oh god it worked. This was probably the first production of this show where I not only cried, but seriously felt a pang of unease with every interaction between Gabe and other characters after the big reveal. Aaron could never, honestly.
Also Jack is a sweetheart to his fans. The stage door (so to speak, the Donmar doesn't really have a stage door) was a lovely experience and he was so grateful to the people who were waiting for him. He was also directly in my face while interacting with Jessie Mei Li and Mason Alexander Park who were in the audience, and even though I tried my best to avoid looking at them because I didn't want to intrude, the space was so small that I couldn't help noticing how adorable he's with his friends. He gave Jessie so many warm hugs and said I love you so many times, oh he was so sweet.
As a gay man all I want to know is... why are boys so cute.
