Ben Pincus x Reader

Gender: non-specific!

Theme: angst

WARNING: CAMP CRETACEOUS SPOILERS!!! Btw, I'mma put a link to a song when it's time for you to listen to it, k? Just to spice things! ^^ btw it can only be heard on sportify but if you don't have sportify, you can just search the song on yt instead! Anyways, enjoy!!! Btw, your older bro is Dave!!! :D

(Y/N)'s POV

Everybody was cheering as the pterodactyls went away. Ben opened the door from the front of the train as he pants.

"Ben! Ben! Ben! Ben! Ben! Ben!" We cheer for Ben. Bumpy gaves a happy growl as her tail wags and greet Ben.

"You saved us, Ben. I didn't know you had it in you." Darius says as we all get closer.

I began to walk towards him and he does too. But everything suddenly goes slow motion and a pterodactyl grabs Ben.

(PLAY THE MUSIC)

Can't the future just wait?

"BEN!" I yell, running towards him with Darius. Ben starts to scream as I hold onto Ben's other arm. We start to grunt but then the pterodactyl let's go of him and now he's hanging on onto me and Darius. We try to pull him up but his hands are slippery for the many times he puts on hand sanitizer.

"Oh, no!" Darius says. My hands start to shake and tears are in my eyes as I try to pull him up.

"Help!"

"Hang on!"

"Darius! (Y/N)! Please! No!" Ben frantically yells, screaming for his life. Our hands then slip and Ben falls onto the dark forest.

Can't the deadlines come fashionably late?

"BEN!!!" I yell for him, reaching my hand out. But it was too late. He was already gone. My body slowly starts to violently shake and my arm slowly goes down as I began to whimper and cy.

I could push every goal back, Take control back, If they'd roll back the rate.

At which time starts to fly.

As the others search for the Beacon, I sit down, staring down at my lap remembering that when me and Ben were kids we used to lay down our heads on eachother's lap whenever me and him played in my backyard.

"(Y/N), dude. You okay?" Kenji asks as he sits besides me. My hands curl up into fists and I snap my head back at him. "No! Nothing's okay! You guys are completely ignoring the fact that Ben's out there still! H-He might be alive! But instead we just give up and go back home without him?! What will his parents says?" I snap at him, standing up. Eveybody's eyes are on me as I then run away to a random shop crying.

Never landing or standing by

I go under a desk and sob as I throw random objects I found out of my way. My heart hurt, it felt like it could break, and it hurt more that I didn't have my childhood bestfriend with me.

Never taking

As me, Darius and Sammy run, Kenji starts to talk on a random mic. Then Brooklyn jumps in and we start to mimic the watering hole whne they said that they couldn't hear us.

"They're to the watering hole?"

We nod and Darius making a mimic of a shotgun.

After awhile, Darius came with a conclusion that he would go alone to get Tiff and Mitch away from the dinosaurs.

"Darius, are you crazy!?" I say, literally panicking.

"We got your back, Darius! Forget the boat, Mitch and Tiff are going down!"

I froze in place as I heard that voice. I slowly look at the speaker. "Ben?" "You're alive?"

"Ben!!" I yell, realizing it was really him. I cover my mouth with my hands as tears go down my cheeks.

"Oh, right! You didn't know. Yeah. Also, we found the sound button so we can hear you now. And I defeated Toro. Bumpy also says hi."

I start to laugh and my feet are pratically going up and down as I celebrate.

"I think I broke them" Ben says, referring to Darius and Sammy.

A break.

As we all finally rest for a bit, I start to have a nightmare of letting Ben fall down. Again. I start to whimper in my sleep and my heart starts to ache.

Ever making me retry.

We "nickle-and-dime" every "quarter to two"

The boat starts to swim off of Isla Nublar. We start to celebrate and I get so excited that I jump ontop of Ben and kiss him. I quickly realize what I did and start to retrieve back as we sit up but he pulls me back and kisses me.

Everyone starts to celebrate as we let go, both of our faces red as a tomato. I had the most stupid grin on my face and Ben chuckled.

But maybe it's time to let time pass through

If the future is bright

As we're trapped in our cell, I lay down my head on Ben's shoulder as he wraps his arm around my waist. 'So much for a friend...' I thought to myself. I then look at Brooklyn and tap her foot with mine.

She looks at me and I give her a sympathetic smile. She smiles back, wiping what looked like to be a tear on her eye.

It doesn't shine with that "end of the tunnel" light.

More like a deer in the headlights, sudden red lights, or "you're dead" lights

As the anglerfish bite

"It's not fair" I eventually say as we were still in our little prison. "After all we went through, he betrayed us. So much for someone who has neglectful father issues would trust him more then us-" I mumble the last part, but Ben clearly heard me.

"(Y/N)!!" "What? I'm just telling the truth..."

The past is clear but it's there.

"Don't think I forgive you entirely, Kon." I say walking away from Kenji as he goes to hug me.

What's ahead? No one knows

But's it's closing in, we swear.

Still not in my prime, I have so much to do

As eveybody unites with their parents, I nudge Dave's elbow. "Thanks, bro. For...saving my friends and my boyfriend" I say. "You're wel-"

Dave looks back at me in wide eyes. "Boyfriend!?" He yells out loud. I then drag his arm and get to where Ben and his mom are at before letting go of him and holding Ben's hand.

Ben chuckled to his mom and both of them hug us. "Oh, I knew this would happen!!!" Mrs. Pincus says. "Ever since you two met I shipped so hard!!" says Dave.

But maybe it's time to let time pass through

Two years later, I became an in-famous writer and internet famous. I was going on my first live show, and re-meeting my friends again.

"(Y/N)!! Ben!!" Sammy yells as she hugs us. We smile and hug back and Yaz joins in. Then Kenji, Brooklyn and Darius join in and we grouo hug. "You two look stunninyg!" Brooklyn tells them after we let go. "Oh, you guys look great as well!" Sammy replies.

"How's your next story?" Yaz asks me after awhile. "Oh, y'know, writting a new character, you know how it goes" I say.

"And I think Bumpy found a boyfriend" Ben says. "What!? You never told me that!" Me, Kenji and Sammy say at the same time.

At the show

"I can't just re-write my decisions when life gets strange." I say as the mic is passed to me after someone asked me a question. "I still question myself 'Should I go with my gut, on which door I should I shut?'"

I look back at the others. "I'm still unsure. I'd just keep exploring this rut. But what good is time without change?" I look back at the crowd and they all cheer.

...

Move on

I wake up from another nightmare, I was back at Isla Nublar. I start to hypervate (ENGLISH ISN'T MY FIRST LANGUAGE) and whimper before Ben groans and turns the light on.

I hold back in my tears. But, I know he's not an idiot. He wraps his arms around me and I just sink myself onto him and cry.

'Cause things never last.

Just move on.

I was in my office continuing to write my book but then I heard shattering. I quickly stand up and go to the kitchen only to find Ben, tears rolling down on his eyes as a broken glass was infront of him with chocolate milk spilled on the floor.

His phone fell off his hand and he just starts at the floor.

He starts to suddenly back away and whimper. "Ben?" I ask, going closer to him. He goes limp on me and buries his head on my chest, starting to cry. "Ben??? W-What's wrong?" I asked, wrapping my arms around his hips as he starts to sob.

"B-Bumpy *sniff* died...after giving birth..."

My heart then sank. I got us further away from the glass and sat down on the wall with him, petting his head. I could feel my eyes start to water but I held them back, holding it in for Ben.

"It's okay...j-just let it...all out..." I say, my voice breaking.

No one likes an ending.

So what's with the attention we keep on giving them?

Why are we still spending so much time

"We're adopting a baby!?" Ben says, shook. I nod. He jumps up and down and hugs me, tears of happiness rolling down to our cheeks. We both had big stupid grins on our faces.

Dreading our lives instead of living them?

Why do we try to divert the river when the water is what will deliver us where we need to go?

"What should we name her?" I ask, turning to him as he holds the newborn baby on his arms. He thinks before smilling "Betty" he says, turning to him with teary eyes.

"In memorial of Bumpy, her nickname will be Bumpy" He says, his voice almost breaking. "Oh, Ben" I say, going behind him and wrapping my arms around his waist before placing my chin on his shoulder.

"She would be happy if she knew" I say, pecking his jawline.

We may never know. Time is always in limited supply. But we'll live to regret it, if we get it, and the let it slip by.

"It can never rewind. Once you've lost it, it's hard to find" I say in a podcast. "Take the journey in stride, when your plans have been slidelined. Every hourly chime could begin something new"

I look at my desk and see a photo of me, our hairless cat Oliver, Betty and Ben all together in a picture with Bumpy's kid, Sour Patch.

"So maybe it's time to let time pass through" I then see a picture of me, Ben, Betty, Sammy, Yaz, their son Connor, Kenji, pregnant Brooklyn, and Darius on a boat infront of Isla Nublar.

"'Til the well runs dry" Then a picture of young me and young Dave with our young pitbull, Horace, with us on our backyard. I smile to myself.

After the podcast ends, I make copies of all the pictures and put them together on my office wall. Ben walks in and sees it. "That's amazing, (N/N)" He says, pecking my cheek. "Well, how can I not admire my family every day?" I say, smilling and kissing him.

He kisses back and its slowly, smooth, sweet and passionate.

"Ew!" We here Betty says, which we turn around and see her with Oliver on her arms dressed as a dinosaur. "What's up, Bumper Car?" I ask, pecking her forehead. "I wanted to ask if we could get Oliver a cape, but nevermind." She says before walking away.

I chuckle and put and connect me and Ben's hands together.

"Ready to binge watch that new show that came out on Netflix?" He asks me. "Pfft, you don't even need to ask!"

Just passing through

(DAM!!! Longest I have yet, but what do you guys think? Pretty awesome, yeah? Anyways, have a good day!!! ^^)
