In comes, Todd Anderson who's having his first day on Welton, the one where his Older brother graduated from, people would always look at him and his unchanging Blue eyes. And then there's Neil Perry, the resident Golden boy known for his unchanging yellow eyes who only the closest can see the intense orange and blue on closed doors. So it was probably the best idea for Nolan to make them room together.

"You've seen your roommate yet?" Charlie asked Neil while they were walking on the hallways with the others, Meeks and Pitts wrapped with their own conversation, Cameron and Sticks conversing about advanced studying to be ahead of the class, then there was Knox who had his arm draped on Charlie's shoulder listening to the two's conversation. And Neil won't say a word about how those two had a tinge of pink on their eyes, so Neil just smiles.

"Not yet." He says as he looks around for his new roommate, wanting to introduce himself and get to know him quickly, who knows he might be a new addition to their group.

"Hopefully he isn't much a dick like my roommate is." Charlie's jokes earned a complaint from Cameron.

"You could just swap with Sticks and you can be roommate with me, like old times." Knox said that as they now arrive at the main part of the hallways where most of the new kids would be most likely at, Neil was only half listening to the two's conversation now focused on finding his roommate.

"Nolan wouldn't allow it." Charlie states.

"Not if it was Cameron who asks for it." Knox counters.

"Shit you're right, let's talk to Sticks first and let him on the plan alright?" Neil knew those two's eyes are sickeningly yellow with their plan, but it seems that his search is now over.

In the center of the room stood the Andersons which Neil couldn't not recognize, who are conversing with Principal Nolan, also between them stood a blonde young man who was smaller than him but seemed to be timid as he tried to look as small as possible, although Neil couldn't see how he looked like since the guy was facing away from him. Neil pitied him and decided to only speak to him once the Andersons are gone.

And as if fate is on his side he saw them waving goodbye to Nolan, with Mr. Anderson just giving a nod to his son, while Ms. Anderson giving him a warm hug and Neil already know he's gonna get well acquainted with him.

Once they were gone he took a step forward to the young man, put on his signature smile and said:

"You must be my new roommate, my name is Neil Perry." While placing his hand for a handshake. The guy having heard him turned around and Neil found his heart skipping a beat at how beautiful the person in front of him is, the blonde hair really does perfectly compliment his beauty, and god his eyes were blue... which is something he should ask in the future and find a way to help him in any way he can. But it seemed like the other was also stunned after looking at his eyes settling to orange before going to pink.

Wait pink? Neil finds his cheeks warm as he saw the pink on the eyes of the other go brighter after that reaction and laughs, a sound that was music to Neil's ears he found himself completely enamored at this man who he doesn't even know his name yet.

"I'm Todd Anderson, nice to meet you Neil." He said with a smile as they shake hands, and the touch felt electric. And for once he found himself lost for words to say except for: "Wanna me to take you to our room?"

"Oh?" He noticed how Todd's cheeks go red at what he said and he found himself mentally slapping himself for the word he chose to use.

"I mean so you can put down your bags, I know how it feels to be lost in your first day so I made a mission to help any of my roommates." He explains with a smile.

"That's kind of you Neil, shall we go?" Todd smiles back and they start walking to their shared room, with Neil grabbing some of Todd's bags that he wasn't able to carry himself. He took a mental note that his friends are going to most likely show up in their room, seeing that Charlie gave him a shit-eating grin while they passed him in the hallway.

Along the way he noticed Todd staring at one of the students with his parents hugging like a parent should when they're leaving their son away from home. And saw his eyes change back for blue.

Neil understands that feeling for he himself doesn't get along with his parents, most definitely his father.

But from the way he saw Todd smile before, he made a mission for himself.

To make sure that Todd's eyes will never be blue again.

II. Knarlie

People usually say that since their eyes literally tells them on what they're feeling, it is impossible to fake your feelings now.

Charlie knows that's bullshit since he and Neil had been doing that for years now, for different reasons of course but he found that one thing other than among other better things to be what made him and Neil so close.

But came Todd, Neil's new roommate who the other is completely head over heels over, and Charlie couldn't be happier to see Neil being happy and open with someone, but a part of him always wanted that.

He found himself back in his room now shared with Knox since their plan worked. Half listening to Knox speak about this girl he met named Chris, and it's getting really hard to fake his yellow eyes, he's a professional of course but he was weak when it comes to Knox.

What he didn't know is that Knox also harbors feeling for him, yet is being stupid about it so let's say these two are for a long, bumpy ride that hopefully ends with woeless happiness.

III. Pitts

The two knew their feelings, especially from the first time they looked at each other their eyes pink. They just don't know how to go through it yet, and tell it to their friends because society isn't forgiving to them, but upon seeing Neil and Todd, and the ever-so-infuriating love story that is Charlie and Knox, they found themselves getting more and more confident to show the world their love for each other.

IV. Carrot Sticks

The two rational ones of the group, never found themselves thinking about the process that is falling in love, but when they saw their group slowly becoming couples, they found themselves thinking of feelings that they both have buried and feelings that needed to be addressed before it's too late.

Some Dead Poets Society Ships HC

I say some because in the future I'll be posting separate headcanons for some ships, so here's some CHADD ‐ :)

ANDERPERRY ‐ They would go to the cave for private time: (Reading poems and when Welton gets truly suffocating they go there which the other poets do as well, occasionally their private time gets interrupted by Charlie usually in the company of Knox, sometimes Pitts and Meek would go there to work on some invention, and then Cameron when Charlie invites Knox to their room and they become a bit too much for him to focus on studying.) ‐ Todd would be the writer and Neil is the speaker, it's gotten somewhat normalized in Welton that even in other classes than Keating's the professors knew about their dynamic. Although none of them (except Keating) knew of their relationship yet. ‐ Todd always has some post-it notes of poems he found interesting to send to Neil every day, and Neil sends post-it notes of really really cheesy pickup lines that never fail to make Todd blush. KNARLIE ‐ Knox never fails to attend any rowing competition that Charlie is in, nor does Charlie fails to attend any Football competition Knox is in. ‐ If Anderperry has the Cave, Mitts has the rooftop, Knarlie has outside of Welton, the peaceful place beside the bridge it was always their place to go whenever they need an escape, since Knox always has the permission to go outside they take advantage of it. If ever outside was not available they always have Knox's room. ‐ Once there was an argument that went out of hand and Knox's punched Cameron in the face, which by the grace of gods none of them got in trouble with, but Charlie found out that the reason why he punched Cameron was that he was talking shit about Charlie, and have said the forbidden word. MITTS ‐ They've probably made a lot of inventions in their room and none would know except them. ‐ Usually, join the others in the study groups (With Meeks being the one initiating) but sometimes when they know the others will be busy they'll stay on the rooftop, just the two of them with the winds, and just gaze at the stars, one day dreaming they'll be able to arrive there themselves. A dream they'd love to make true. ‐ They made a robot dog, a prototype if you will. But it's one invention they can't show to the poets yet, not until they're sure it won't bite off Charlie's fingers when he inevitably puts it in its mouth. CARROT STICKS ‐ Due to the fact that Cameron never told them he's dating Sticks yet, the other poets would be less PDA whenever he's around, he's thankful of course, but he one day just said fuck it and went and grabbed Sticks and told them they're dating. "YOU SAID YOU WERE STRAIGHT!" "THAT'S JUST BECAUSE I WANTED YOU TO SHUT UP DUMBASS" "CONGRATS MAN, HAPPY FOR YOU!" ‐ They're the scariest duo when it's Study groups, although Meeks and Pitts are the fun ones, Sticks and Cameron are the more "strict" ones, but the results of all of them passing with high grades prove to the others that fine they're alright with it. And Cameron looked really happy that Sticks is working well with the group. ‐ Sticks became an official member of the dead poets the night Cameron introduced him as his boyfriend, at the meeting in the cave. And boy was it chaotic, crazy but overall fulfilling. It was cathartic and with Cameron by his side, it just went even better. He wouldn't mind going to these meetings late at night if this is what it entails.
