21. Art styles nothing like your own but you like anyways

Oh, so many! I adore @merilles' art style a lot. It's so soft and clean and pretty to look at! It's very dreamy, and I love the way they draw faces and hair! @mgcoco likewise has really clean lines (I strugggggggleeeeee!!!!) and their art style is SO cute and their coloring is so decisive! Plus, oh god, all of the character designs, the clothing, everything. @feanorinleatherpants's grasp on anatomy and just....the bRUSH STROKES. *THE BRUSH STROKES* THE CHUNKY FAT BRUSH STROKES. SOOOO GOOD. @arrowhawkart's use of color and light (and again, so so clean. Comic book/animation kind of clean aaaa). @thenerdyalchemist has a very cozy, charming sort of art style that I just want to curl up in. It's so so so nice. @the-commonplace-book -- again, clean lines, really decisive coloring, angular in a really fun good way. Also I gotta scream about @celebrimbot VIKS LINESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS the MOOD the AHHHHHH everything !!!!

There are plenty of other creators with art styles that I admire (but they are closer to my own and so don't work so well for the purposes of this ask) -- but like can you see the theme here? I tend to be a lot more sketchy and less decisive in my coloring, and I don't really understand how to do cell shading very well (it never looks good when I do it but I am trying to learn!!). So whenever an artist has really clean lines and sharp, neat coloring I am just in awe. I also tend not to work incredibly loosely either (I am somewhere in the middle) -- so artists that work loosely are also a subject of great admiration!!!

⇖ - Is your muse attached to any particular weapon or piece of equipment they own?

    For most of the time I’ve been writing Créa, there hasn’t particularly been any attachment to her weapon or her shield. It’s always just been a simple short sword and any sort of shield, really- usually a kite shield in my head.

        But only a while ago I started to dip into the potential of making Créa’s family line and tracing it back to Númenor, and from there came heirlooms and things passed down that end up in her hands, one of those things being a sword (and a ring). It’s a short sword not unlike hers, but with a more intricately detailed hilt in the style of old, and seven stars are engraved across the flat of the blade, wielded by Vëantur the Tall during the days of the realms in Exile.

        The significance is lost to history except to one elf, a long time friend of Créa’s, who refuses to tell her what it is or who it belonged to, and the reason why becomes clear later.

         It was the blade that belonged to Vëantur, passed down through her family--but it was also the blade that mercifully ended his life, at the hands of Farohîr. They had been friends and met through the War of the Last Alliance, and fought together for nearly a decade. Towards the very end of the war, Vëantur sustains a mortal blow that nearly cleaves him in two, and the death would be excruciatingly slow. His own hands too weak to lift the blade to end his life himself, Farohîr drives the blade home as one final act of mercy; a traumatic event for any elf that understandably would not want to relive the memory.

        What she does with it, I haven’t decided quite yet. She might keep it, being only one of a few things she has at all of ties to her past and lineage. Part of me likes the idea of her melting it down and destroying the blade to bring peace to Farohîr’s mind, though at a great personal cost to her, but it could also be forged into a new blade--but it hasn’t come to play in any private threads, so what exactly happens to it is undecided.
